[2024 Birthday Card Story - Haures] At the Closest Place

this is for a request i had to translate a haures card story! thanks again to a friend of mine for sharing this with me!

Chapters 1 & 2

Chapter 1

As the season changed from spring to summer… May arrived, and Haures and Fennesz’s birthday drew near.

I already decided what to give all the butlers as a birthday present this year.

A ring for the pinky finger… A “pinky ring.”

Wearing a ring on the pinky finger symbolizes “preventing happiness from escaping.”

With that in mind, I quickly decided to choose a gemstone ring for the two of them.

But while I was choosing… I was unsure what gem would suit them.

Since it’s for their birthday… I wanted to pick a gem that was perfect for them.

While I kept thinking about it, there was a knock on the door.

Knock, knock…

> Come in.

Haures: Excuse us, Aruji-sama.

Fennesz: Sorry to disturb your rest.

> What is it?

Fennesz: Actually… It’s a bit awkward to be saying this ourselves, but…

Fennesz: Uhm… It’s almost our birthday, isn’t it?
