Never Again Is Now
Never again is now—
When hands rise high, their shadows vast,
Feigning innocence, as if the echoes
Of history’s cries have faded to dust.
Never again is now—
When silenced voices tremble in the void,
As if the weight of censorship’s chain
Is a burden we have never known.
Never again is now—
When they twist the mirror of our minds,
Feeding us illusions, a poisoned feast,
As if their lies were crafted anew.
Never again is now—
When the nameless are cast aside,
Their faces blamed, their hope erased,
As if the darkness wears a gentler face.
You need not echo every word we speak—
Only rise for love, for justice’s flame.
Stand with us in this fragile hour,
For never again is now.

Please report user @/JohnJohnJoyBoy and his posts for hatespeech and spam.
Good day/evening everyone. Some of you might remember a previous debacle with @/macintosh1212 (whose post is still up, btw) reposting art from the lovely @grimsdeadb0nes and captioning it with misgendering and false personal information about them.
Well, he now has a second account and is continuing to harass Grim while his previous account and post has yet to be deleted by Tumblr (thanks Staff).
Please help us by reporting both accounts as well as their posts for spam and hatespeech as well as spreading this post.
Thank you very much for your time!

I am unapologetically bigoted against Catholics.
Like yes, there are a lot of legitimate reasons outside of bigotry to hate this religion and its institutions; the attacks on LGBT and abortion rights, the sexual misconduct, the literal unchallenged patriarchy of Vatican City and the papistry, the colonialist nature of missionary work, the list just goes on and on.
But I can recognize how a majority of protestant religions also suffer the same problems. The fact is my hatred comes from a more personal place, and that's what makes it a bigotry. I grew up in a majority white-catholic neighborhood, and over time (especially once I came out) each of my neighbors revealed themselves to be fair-weather, two-faced little bitches. I grew up in close enough proximity to this religion to confidently say you don't have a single belief that isn't utterly stupid. Stop it! Your obsession with blood is weird and gross, your holy book is crappily written and your interpretations of it are even worse, you profess to love women... until they open their mouths, and most of you are only still following this belief because it gave you comfort as a child, which is a pathetic reason to do anything. Judaism has a lot of stupid beliefs too, but the difference is most jews I've met aren't dumb enough to take their beliefs literally; you people do! Protestants do just as much if not more damage on the global stage, but the difference is they manage to be at least 25% less punchably smug about it.
You are an overprivileged, credulous lot who think "persecution" means any attack on the status quo, and "charity" means handing your money and time over to what is already the most opulent building in town. You are eager to share your beliefs with others, but heaven forbid you deign to listen to any of the inferior "pagan" beliefs of your neighbors. You promote antisemitism and then turn around and have the gall to compare attacks on your freedom to oppress others to the holocaust. Deconvert now or be prepared to go fuck yourselves.
EDIT: I can't wait for the replies to start rolling in. My money says its going to be minor nitpicks from catholics about what I got wrong about their doctrine. You don't get it; I don't give a shit. Your religion had 25 years to make a good impression on me; I know enough to know that you suck. The only responses I want to hear are
"Yes ma'am"
"No ma'am"
"I'm sorry"
and "You're right, if we can't get a woman pope within the next decade the USA should have the right to audit the piss out of the Vatican"

Hi. I just received an email back from support about a report I filed back in june about antisemitism. This ask.
Tumblr then replied with an ask to re-submit the post, so I sent this email.
Now, in November, I get this.
Here is a quote copy and pasted from Tumblr's Community guidelines. "Hate Speech. Don't encourage violence or hatred. Don't post content for the purpose of promoting or inciting the hatred of, or dehumanizing, individuals or groups based on race, ethnic or national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, age, veteran status, sexual orientation, disability or disease. If you encounter content that violates our hate speech policies, please report it."
This blog is still active as of November 2nd when I'm posting this.
I know this is not the first case of this happening, and it will not be the last. Please continue to respect and work to foster a safe space the Jewish people. We are not Israel.
@staff

Meta Faces Backlash over its updated policies that allow LGBTQ+ people to be labeled as "mentally ill," sparking widespread criticism. The controversial changes have drawn condemnation from advocacy groups, employees, and users, who argue that the new rules promote hate speech and undermine the safety of marginalized communities on Meta’s platforms. A Regressive Shift in Policy In early 2025, Meta discontinued LGBTQ+ Pride themes, including color schemes inspired by Pride flags. Introduced in 2021 and 2022 to celebrate Pride Month, these themes symbolized a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. The abrupt removal follows Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s broader policy revisions, which include replacing fact-checkers with a community-driven model and loosening hate speech rules. These updates allow derogatory claims, such as labeling LGBTQ+ individuals as “mentally ill,” under the guise of political and religious discourse. Critics argue these decisions align Meta with the political right, especially President-elect Donald Trump, who has historically targeted LGBTQ+ rights. GLAAD, an LGBTQ advocacy group, condemned Meta’s actions, stating, “Meta is now an anti-LGBTQ company,” and likened the platform to right-wing networks like Truth Social. Internal and External Fallout Meta’s policy changes have caused turmoil internally, with employees expressing distress over the company’s direction. According to internal conversations revealed by 404 Media, some employees took sick leave, citing the policies as harmful to both themselves and the community they serve. Hundreds of comments on Meta’s internal platforms criticized the decision, demanding transparency from the board about its rationale. Externally, LGBTQ+ users and advocacy organizations have voiced fears over the implications of the new rules. Social media has long been a lifeline for marginalized communities, offering spaces to connect, seek support, and access resources. By endorsing rhetoric that dehumanizes LGBTQ+ individuals, Meta risks amplifying “minority stress,” a psychological concept describing the health disparities caused by systemic discrimination and harassment. Real-World Consequences The ramifications of Meta’s policy shift extend beyond digital spaces. Studies show trans individuals are disproportionately affected by violence, with the number of trans people murdered doubling between 2017 and 2021. The Human Rights Campaign declared a national state of emergency for LGBTQ+ people in 2023, highlighting systemic denial of rights in marriage, housing, employment, and healthcare. Meta’s new guidelines exacerbate these challenges, fostering an environment that emboldens hate speech. Leaked training materials reveal examples of permissible content under the updated rules, including slurs and derogatory remarks targeting LGBTQ+ individuals. Critics argue that these changes not only erode the safety of marginalized groups but also undermine the platform’s credibility with advertisers and users. A Troubling Trend Meta’s pivot mirrors a larger trend of tech platforms deprioritizing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives in favor of “free speech.” Zuckerberg justified the changes as a way to counteract “over-enforcement” of content moderation. However, this narrative ignores the harm caused by unchecked hate speech and misinformation. The removal of fact-checkers and DEI programs signals a troubling departure from Meta’s stated commitment to inclusivity. In March 2024, GLAAD’s report titled Unsafe: Meta Fails to Moderate Extreme Anti-trans Hate criticized the platform’s failure to address hate speech effectively. The current policy changes deepen these concerns, pushing LGBTQ+ users to question whether Meta remains a viable space for community building. Call to Action Advocates are urging Meta to reconsider its policies, emphasizing the importance of robust content moderation to protect vulnerable groups. GLAAD and other organizations highlight the need for safer online spaces where LGBTQ+ individuals can connect without fear of harassment.
Many are calling on advertisers to hold Meta accountable, leveraging financial pressure to demand change. The Need for Community For the LGBTQ+ community, social media is more than a tool; it’s a refuge. Platforms like Facebook and Instagram provide vital support, enabling users to share experiences, seek advice, and advocate for their rights. Meta’s policy changes jeopardize this lifeline, replacing connection with hostility. As Meta faces growing backlash, the company must decide whether to double down on its current trajectory or take meaningful steps to rebuild trust with its users. In an increasingly polarized digital landscape, prioritizing inclusivity and safety is not just a moral imperative but a strategic one. By choosing to stand with marginalized communities, Meta can reaffirm its role as a leader in fostering connection and understanding—values that should underpin any social media platform.

🇺🇸 In December 2024, a study revealed that anti-Semitism has become the main challenge for Jewish communities in Latin America, surpassing historical issues like assimilation and internal divisions. The study, conducted by the Latin American Jewish Congress and PoliarquĂa Consultores, shows that after the attacks on October 7, 2023, 91% of community leaders believe anti-Semitism has increased in their countries. 70% of respondents identify social media as the primary channel for the spread of anti-Semitic hate speech, raising growing concerns about community security. 60% of leaders say that Latin American governments do not adequately ensure the security of their communities, and 80% fear new attacks or assaults. Moreover, uncertainty surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict also affects the perception of the situation, with 46% of respondents believing peace between Palestine and Israel will not be achieved in less than five years. This context has sparked a debate within communities on how to combat anti-Semitism while also fighting against other forms of discrimination.

Sparking Conversations: Breaking Free from Superficial Discussions
Recently, I had a conversation with my folks that left me reflecting on our societal landscape. We discussed the rising tide of hate speech and divisive rhetoric, but the conversation took an interesting turn. My mom mentioned a coworker, "A", who was down after the election, implying her Democratic views. Then, she made derogatory comments about Kamala Harris, focusing on her appearance. I decided to speak up.
"It's not about the leadership; it's about validated rhetoric. People who are Othered feel singled out. A vote for Trump was a vote for the mindset of those who express hatred for Others."
My mom murmured, "I get it…" but I knew we hadn't truly connected.
Sociological Reflections
This conversation highlighted:
Intergenerational Transmission of Values: How our upbringing shapes perspectives.
Cultural Context: Influences worldview.
Conflict Theory: Power dynamics in societal discourse.
Moving Forward
To break the cycle of superficial discussions:
Empathy: Understand differing views.
Critical Thinking: Analyze information, not emotions.
Active Listening: Engage fully.
The election's aftermath saw reports of suicide attempts and successes, particularly among marginalized groups. Some individuals celebrated the election outcome acknowledging the harm caused, and still chose to laugh about people unaliving themselves. Kamala Harris warned of the dangers of another Trump presidency, citing his unstable nature, obsession with revenge, and desire for unchecked power.
Closing Statement
As I reflected on the election, I realized that I couldn't bring myself to vote for either candidate. Instead, I chose to protest vote by writing in my own name. While some might argue that this action inadvertently supported Trump's campaign, I believe that a Harris presidency would have yielded similar results. To me, they represent two wings of the same bird, perpetuating a system that fails to address the root issues. By writing in my own name, I took a stand against a binary choice that didn't align with my values.
