I just don't understand why everyone now loves Léa Seydoux. I have French relatives and I know that they, like every other French person, despise her. And they despise her for the racist person she is. For being a supporter of rapist Harvey Weinstein. In 2020, in Harper's Bazaar magazine she told him that she would forgive him despite all his victims. No Frenchman takes Seydoux's career seriously, simply because his family owns the Gaumont Pathe chain. They own all the cinemas in France. They are also film producers and all of this has benefited their career. Léa is just another privileged nepobaby.

i read the article you mentioned and this was the part she said about forgiveness. just to put it out there so we have more context

i will add that even though she doesn't want to be considered a victim, she seemingly has an unfortunate history of being preyed upon by men in hollywood, him included. and it's a slippery slope because victims don't have to forgive, or if they decide to forgive that's their choice also. i kind of wish we had a bit more to go off of than just this paragraph where she talks about forgiveness, because you can unpack that statement in a lot of ways. but certainly just from reading it on paper, it doesn't look good. and i am in no way giving a thumbs up to anything, harvey weinstein is a fucking pig that deserves to rot in hell and all of his victims are so brave. i think of rose mcgowan a lot. she is a paragon of strength and power and resilience. she is my hero for real
