At the heart of Monsters, Chambers, and Trapdoors is the idea of identity, explored through figures imbued with subtle mythological and fantastical traits. By saturating her creations with elements of the unreal, Dymock urges us to question not only the nature of heroism and monstrosity but also how we perceive ourselves and others. One recurring motif in her recent works is the pairing of figures—often physically close yet emotionally distant. Drawing inspiration from Plato’s concept of the soulmate, where humans were once unified beings with four arms, four legs, and two heads, Dymock explores the aching separation and yearning that followed their division by Zeus. These paired figures, while physically intimate, convey a palpable sense of detachment, creating a tension that highlights the alienation and objectification of the human body. The cold, metallic surfaces of these figures further emphasise their non-human qualities, evoking a chilling sense of robotic detachment.

Artist: Phoebe Boswell
4me4you recently had the pleasure of visiting Hope 93 Art Gallery, which featured the artist Phoebe Boswell.
Boswell is a versatile, multi-disciplinary artist whose work is rooted in drawing but extends across animation, sound, video, writing, interactivity, and performance.
Her artistic practice frequently inhabits imaginative realms, where black feminism serves as a tool for envisioning radical new worlds. Boswell's work challenges the objectifying gaze, confronting viewers with a direct, empowered stare.
She received the Special Prize at the 2017 Future Generation Art Prize, which led to her participation in the Collateral Events programme at the 57th Venice Biennale.
Her work is held in numerous museum collections globally, and she has exhibited at prestigious international galleries, including Gagosian, Kristin Hjellegjerde, Carroll / Fletcher, and Tiwani Contemporary.

4me4you features the artist Cotton Tsumi, also known as COTOH, who has been shaping the contemporary art scene since 2017.
Originally starting his career as an illustrator, he quickly gained recognition through collaborations with musicians and apparel brands. Over time, Tsumi evolved into a contemporary artist, exploring the dynamic intersections between digital illustration and traditional art forms.
COTOH’s artistic vision is rooted in the idea that there are no inherent boundaries between digital illustrations and contemporary art. With this philosophy in mind, he has successfully crafted a body of work that blends mass-consumed illustration styles with traditional printmaking techniques.
His pieces incorporate a diverse range of methods, including silkscreen, giclee prints, ukiyo-e woodblock prints, and hand-painted works, each offering a unique twist on their respective processes. The ukiyo-e woodblock prints are the only exception, maintaining a sense of historical authenticity.

He challenges the conventional view of such practices as purely commercial, presenting them as valid forms of artistic expression. His work refuses to be confined by any single style or approach, constantly evolving and adapting.
COTOH’s exploration offers a refreshing contrast to the more widely seen depictions of urban female characters in contemporary art, presenting a fresh perspective that continues to push boundaries.

"4Me4You presents Clint Enns an artist, curator, and writer based in Montréal."
Artist: Clint Enns
Clint Enns aka “@clintenns" is a Montreal-based writer and visual artist whose innovative exploration of AI technology creates unsettling, otherworldly imagery. His work, often described as a fusion of hallucination and distorted memories, challenges the viewer's perception of reality. By embracing the imperfections of artificial intelligence, Enns pushes the boundaries of visual art and invites us into a world that is simultaneously familiar and disorienting. His images, inspired by glitchy, contradictory visuals, are designed to disrupt and reframe the way we engage with the digital landscape.
As an artist who embodies a distinct minoritarian voice in the art world, Clint Enns does not aim for conventional or polished results. When generating AI art using platforms like Stable Diffusion, his approach is intentionally experimental. Rather than producing a specific image or aesthetic, Enns sets parameters that encourage contradictions, ambiguity, and failure. His prompts are often circular, antithetical, or nonsensical—an intentional embrace of the “no-means-no” axiom that “nonsense is better than no sense at all.” By doing so, Enns subverts expectations, offering an experience that leaves viewers unsettled and questioning the limits of technology.
In addition to his digital artwork, Clint Enns creates artist books that combine images and writing to reflect on themes he is currently grappling with. His latest book, Camping at the Geriatric Ward, explores criticisms of AI art and the ethical dilemmas surrounding the medium. The book touches on issues such as corporate censorship, authorship, authenticity, and copyright, all within the context of AI’s intersection with the human experience. One of Enns' most poignant ideas in the book is that his AI-generated images are produced by his grandmother, who is losing the ability to speak due to dementia. Through the lens of AI, Enns suggests, his grandmother can communicate with the world in new and profound ways.
Enns' exploration of AI art began with the popular tool DALL·E-Mini, which made AI technology more accessible. Initially, his interest was in how the technology would misinterpret his prompts and where it would fail. He would challenge the system with impossible or self-referential tasks, such as asking for “an AI-generated face,” only to see a blur of distorted, almost abstract figures that the machine interpreted as human faces. This early experimentation laid the foundation for his ongoing work with other tools like DALL·E 2, MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, and Disco Diffusion. Ultimately, Enns has settled on Stable Diffusion, a tool he appreciates for its low cost (essentially free), ease of use, and its ability to produce the errors and glitches that are central to his artistic vision.

4me4you features “Collage Artist with a Passion for Mixed Media”.
Artist: Matija Rubinić.
Introducing Matija Rubinić: Collage Artist with a Passion for Mixed Media
Matija Rubinić is a collage artist based in Rijeka, Croatia, who blends analog and digital techniques to create captivating mixed-media works. Alongside his artistic practice, Matija is a high school teacher, sharing his knowledge in graphic design and audio production. His creative journey began in the DIY, punk, and fanzine scenes, influences that still shape his art today.
Matija’s collages are more than just visual compositions—they are introspective explorations of emotion, fragility, and self-questioning. For him, the process is an ongoing search for simplicity and poetic sequences, with an emphasis on concept over convention. Collage, as a medium, allows him to experiment and venture into the unknown, creating new stories from visual fragments. Through the interplay of materials like paper textures, illustrations, and colours, he re-contextualiszes familiar images, much like remixing sounds in hip-hop music. Music, in fact, plays a significant role in his work, with many pieces initially conceived as conceptual designs for CD covers of his unfinished music projects.
His approach to collage is free-spirited and fluid—he cuts and pastes materials, adding details digitally or with traditional painting and graphic techniques. Matija doesn’t abide by any strict rules; sometimes he incorporates unconventional materials like wool, metal, or even food, depending on the mood and idea behind each piece. This liberation from the structured world of graphic design, where he often finds himself constrained by screens and grids, allows him to break free and embrace more intuitive, irrational, and playful forms of expression.
Matija draws inspiration from a diverse array of sources, including comics, pop culture, literature, and poetry. He admires artists like Henri Matisse, Hannah Höch, James Rosenquist, and Alex Colville, among many others—though he finds just as much inspiration in the work of lesser-known artists, especially those he encounters on Instagram. Many of his collages were created as part of the Paris Collage Collective challenge, a community of collage artists on Instagram, further fuelling his creative growth.
For Matija, collage is not just an art form; it is a way to explore, express, and question the world around him.

Edith Head’s style was also marked by her strong personal branding. Known for her meticulously crafted appearance, which included her signature bob haircut and glasses, she understood the importance of a distinctive personal style, which she applied not only to herself but to her creations.

4me4you Features “monotonous routines”.
ARTIST: RetroFuture_Dystopia
4me4you proudly features digital artist Brice Rozenfarb, also known by his Instagram handle @RetroFuture_Dystopia. Brice invites us into a world where the future is a 1960s dream, forever frozen in time. In this AI-powered photographic documentary titled "Retro-Futuristic Dystopia: A 1960s AI Odyssey," Brice crafts a world where robots dominate and society hums with eerie efficiency, yet remains devoid of human emotion and creativity. The result is a hauntingly beautiful alternate reality—a blend of nostalgia for a bygone era and the advanced technology of a distant future.
Behind this mesmerising visual narrative is Brice, a Paris-based creative who has spent over a decade honing his skills as an art director. His deep-rooted passion for diverse artistic mediums—ranging from film photography to graphic design—has driven him to constantly push creative boundaries. When he turned his attention to artificial intelligence as a new tool for artistic exploration, Brice began to envision a world where the elegance and optimism of the 1960s collided with a robotic, dystopian future.
Drawing inspiration from iconic pop culture visuals like "Star Wars," "Chappie," and "2001: A Space Odyssey," Brice masterfully blends these influences with the retro-futuristic aesthetic to produce something both familiar and innovative. His admiration for artists like Simon Stålenhag, known for merging sci-fi with everyday life, has also shaped his work.
"Retro-Futuristic Dystopia: A 1960s AI Odyssey" is a testament to Brice Rozenfarb's unique vision, merging vintage aesthetics with cutting-edge AI technology. The result is a compelling narrative that resonates deeply with both nostalgia and the ever-evolving possibilities of the future.
