I know this is about w40k,but I just want to extend a random part of Warhammer fantasy lore I learned recently:

This is the cover of Warhammer first edition, released in 1983. The cover depicts a character later named Harald Hammerstorm(a.k.a. Harry the hammer), known for his war hammer, vanquisher of the undead.

The guy ended up becoming a chaos champion, and living until the End Times (the lore event about GW ending the Fantasy range[2014]), where he dies against a vampire lord, the only time he dropped his trusty hammer.

Tl;Dr. :Harry the Hammer, wielder of THE Warhammer, dies at the death of Warhammer Fantasy after being part of its lore for 31 years.

People: Warhammer isn't satire. This is a very serious setting. The Setting: Ferrus Manus, whose name means 'Iron Hands' in Latin, Primarch of the Iron Hands, who has actual Iron Hands, is currently flying in his ship the 'Fist of Iron'.
