It remains entertaining to me that Edi Gathegi, relatively early in his career, was a recurring guest star on Beauty and the Beast with Kristin Kreuk who attained fame in Smallville as Lana Lang, the first love of Clark Kent.
Fast forward 13 years, he's Mr Terrific in Superman dealing with another of Clark's love interests and still just so done with the whole situation

Does this make Kirk Spock's Watson? He does write mission logs about their adventures...
Glad that Star Trek Strange New Worlds has emphasized my favorite bit of Spock canon. His ancestor is Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. I wonder if he has read the Sherlock Holmes novels... or its adaptations.
Bonus points that this line was dropped in an episode where La'an is pushing the prototype Holodeck to its limits. What could possibly go wrong?
