I have found my new quest.
Someone in a Facebook group I’m in posted this picture of a hanukkiah they saw in a thrift shop and did not purchase. Everyone in the group was telling them to go back and get it. They didn’t recognize what they were seeing.
It’s Yehudit brandishing her sword and the head of Holofernes.
She is being anointed with oil to honor her for her triumph.
On a hannukiah.
I need this so badly I can taste it.

The Jewish samurai swiftly picks up the shamash then places it back down in one smooth motion
two seconds later the rest of the candles on the menorah all ignite in a clean line

Note
why are dinosaurs not kosher:(
asdkjlfkjl;dfasjkl;dfasj;kl
that Hanukkiah (Menorah) specifically isn't kosher because all of the candles are supposed to be at the same height *except* the Shamash (that ninth candle used to light the others)
you'll note in the stegosaurus menorah, all the candles are at different heights. The Shamash isn't even the tallest one!
as for food there are many kosher dinosaurs (chickens, for one) but no nonavian dinosaurs would have made the cut according to the best paper ever written

I bought a new Hanukkiah at an antique store today, and I love it so much more than the brand new one I ordered last month. Now to polish the tarnish off of it and make it shine…

May the fire of revolution serve as the shamash to ignite our flames and light our way. Always remember the true meaning of Hanukkah: violent anti-imperialism leads to miracles.

First year away from home for Chanukah, so me and my wonderful best friend/roommate made our own hanukkiah out of air dry clay. It’s got scales, so it’s kosher!!
Chag sameach, everyone! <3

My Hanukkiah is more than a bit funky today, one of the flames got way to big and we had to blow it out and relight it LMAO happy honk. Guess which one it was.

Underwater Hanukkiah!
Dr. Avi Sayag from the Davidson Institute (the educational branch of the Weitzmann Institute, a research university in Israel) demonstrates that it is possible to light an underwater Hanukkiah so long as one can provide it with flammable material, an oxidant (or two in this case) and some protection to maintain the heat despite the water’s cooling effect.
He does warn not to try this at home!
But do enjoy how cool this is! Happy sixth candle of Hanukkah to all those who celebrate! xoxox
