not sure where this is going in the future but so far jujutsu kaisen's alignment of disability (which imo is an unconscious extension of its use of the "beauty equals goodness" trope. jujutsu tech-aligned characters don't have visible deformities or supernatural traits and villains do) with villainy is. unfortunate

Kokushibo's past marriage HCs
Tumblr media
When Michikatsu was 16, he was arranged by his father to marry a girl from a noble family. Michikatsu has no interest in marrying & having kids with someone at the time simply because it feel right for him at the time. However, he voiced no objections to this arrangement since he's the eldest son & presumed only heir to the Tsugikuni clan.
Tumblr media
Even after getting the time to know his fiance about a month before the wedding, all he felt is awkwardness & discomfort for being forced to interact with someone he could barely even be friends with. No similar interests, no desire for exchanging frequent physical contact, never saying:"I love you" to each other at any point. At best, these two felt more like acquaintances who would soon be contractual roommates. Doesn't help the fact that he has to deal with the looming prospect that he's bound with someone who feels the same uneasiness towards him.
Tumblr media
The name of Michikatsu's late wife was Hanami. She is a quiet, asocial woman who's mind is often occupied with stories that she reads from her scrolls. Like many other noble women in her time, she's composed, docile and well-mannered. At one point during her childhood, she dreamed to be a writer. For a short while, she tried writing her own stories inspired from:"The Tale of Genji" her most favorite novel. However, her family highly discouraged her from perusing an "improper" path, being told that her only role as a noblewoman is to be a wife & a mother. Her lack of courage & in-action stubbornness gets her to easily give up this dream & eventually forget about it.
Despite her elegant, calm posture, she secretly has a resentful, bitter side. Her older brother (5 years older) being the heir to her family means he's often more prioritized & favored than her. His never ending charisma & extroverted charm certainly keeps him in the spotlight with his younger sister forever behind the curtains. Not only is he the one eventually taking over the family business, he also had a much more fulfilling, loving marriage than Hanami.
Tumblr media
Michikatsu was 17 & Hanami was 15 when they were married. The first time they did the deed together was their wedding night. They only did so to produce an heir. Luckily for Hanami's first time, she managed to get pregnant with her first child.
Tumblr media
Early in the marriage, Hanami tried to present physical & emotional needs in hopes to satisfy the need for connection. She even tried initiating some connections at times. However, Michikatsu can easily see through all of this act which further pushes him away from her. Eventually, Hamari gave up after the birth of her eldest son, especially noticing that Michikatsu didn't put in as much effort as she did to give more life into the marriage.
At the very least for the Tsugikuni couple, they are mostly civil, especially for the sake of their sons. They never argued in front of their children & never expressed any sort of disdain for each other. Since love for marriage is unheard of during this time, they do still feel content that they can do the bare minimum for their roles as spouses & parents.
Tumblr media
Four years after the birth of their first son, Kokushibo & Hamari welcomed their second & youngest son. In total, the couple only did the deed twice throughout their marriage. Both are lucky that they didn't have to try multiple times to have children.
Michikatsu is emotionally distant towards Hanami & their sons. He never wanted to be a father since he doesn't feel fit as a parent. He usually leaves all of the childcare to Hanami & Hanami never complains about it since this is a typical family dynamic for the society they live in.
Tumblr media
Despite not having any sort of emotional connection to her husband, Hanami is more attentive & loving to her sons than he does. Although the love children have for their parents is completely different from the love people have for their partners, Hanami at least felt at peace for a while, knowing that her sons do love her. She genuinely enjoys spending time with them (ex: playing with them, telling them bedtime stories, having meals with them,ect) & felt the most happy with them.
The eldest son is named Hiroshi & the youngest son is named Genji. Genji is only a few weeks old before Michikatsu abandoned him & his older brother and mother. Hiroshi is a care-free & bright boy with a strong naive mindset. He's also playful & energetic like any boy his age. At the age of five, he wants to be a samurai just like his father. Hanami of course supports Hiroshi's dream. However, she hopes that Hiroshi wouldn't take up too much from his father.
Tumblr media
Their marriage & family bond came to an end on the day Michikatsu returned from his encounter with Yoriichi.

Catharsis: Something only we know.
Phos!Reader x (Platonic) Getou Suguru
Warnings: Mentions of mental health, brief implications of child abuse, reader blames herself for everything, self loathing, mentions of health and eating disorders, Getou is still Getou, very angsty to somewhat comfort, Getou sees himself in reader
Notes: Hoo boy, this was alot. I love Getou tho so in this au, he will still be himself, but anyways pls prepare yourself for angst!!
"Getou - San?" You asked, finally finding the courage to voice your concerns. It was a hot day at the beach, as usual. Mahito was terrorising Jogo and Hanami while Getou rested with you in the shade.
"Yes, Y/n - chan?" Getou looked up from the book he was reading. It was unusual for you to suddenly speak to him, so he decided to give you his full attention when he did.
"Can- can I tell you, about my cursed technique? Is it OK, just, for insurance sake?" You stutter. You had been wanting to speak to Getou about your Cursed Technique since you met him but hadn't gotten the guts to till now.
"Of course, Y/n - chan, what is it?" Getou had been anticipating this conversation. He had been equally curious about your cursed technique, wanting to see the limits and advantages it held. But he didn't want to scare you off. You were the most closed off member of his 'family', and he knew you'd need time to tell him these things.
"Basically, my cursed technique... I can turn curses into various precious gems and alloys by touching them and absorbing them..." You started, knowing full well this wasn't what you wanted to say most.
Getou hummed, this was the basic information about it you had told him, but you were hesitating, clearly having something weighing on your mind. So he stayed patient, nodding along gently.
"The thing is... when I absorb curses... I feel sick, in here." You pointed to your chest, hands trembling ever so slightly.
"It's like, they become a part of me. Not in the soul way, but in the way where I can feel all the misery and pain, all those disgusting emotions that they held in me, I really feel it, in my bones and it makes me feel so so sick. I just-" You brought your knees to your chest, gently leaning your forehead against them.
For the longest time, you felt as if you were drowning. You had been physically sick for the longest time after the incident with your legs. You had nose bleeds so often the scent of blood seemed to linger around you. You could barely hold down your food, skipping meals or rushing to the bathroom, to expel the contents of your stomach.
It only got worse after what happened to your arms and Yukio. Although it seemed like your body had accepted the alloy immediately. It hadn't. You started vomiting blood, feeling such excruciating pain when the alloy started to spread into your bones, through your veins, forming it's own nervous and muscular system. There were days you couldn't even leave your bed, head spinning to the point you couldn't tell reality from dreams.
Those were the days you had simply locked your door, knowing the others would be worried and accept your mourning. Yet, it was so much deeper than that because a part of you felt as if you deserved this for what had happened to Yukio.
You were scared. What if he wrote you off or laughed at you? For being so weak? You couldn't even take absorbing a couple curses? What if they were right, everyone else, your past friends, your parents, what if you really were just pathetic and weak-
You froze when you felt Getou's hand on your head, looking up at him with eyes glazed over in gold.
If there was one person you understood your feelings better than anyone else, it was Getou. The feeling of swallowing curses was so disgusting to him. He despised it more than anything. Even worse when absorbing them into your being. He knew how you felt first hand. The only difference was that he could get rid of that feeling by releasing them and you... could not. They were truly a part of you.
"Ah, right, right, I need to, to say something else. My body- has a built-in network of gems and gold. I don't know how to explain it but it's like a, a nervous system. It covers my bones and everything, then it crystallises to stop bleeding- that's why-" you decided showing him was better than trying to explain.
You grabbed your finger in one hand, taking in a deep breath when you snapped it off. Getou's eyes widened, watching how the previously exposed muscle and bone was covered with gold in a split second to stop the bleeding.
You then chipped away the thing layer of gold before placing your hand back against your hand. Immediately, liquid gold repaired the crack. You moved your finger, tilting your head to look at Getou.
"Doesn't it hurt? Doesn't it have any negative effects?" Getou asked, looking at it in surprise.
"I- if, if it's a lot of my body and I can't get it back- like, my consciousness, I think, I don't know, but it lives in the crystal. So whenever I lose parts of my body, I lose parts of myself, I- I start to forget things, names, people, places, I- it does hurt. Alot." Your voice went soft, a tear running down your cheek before you could stop it.
"Then don't use it. You're powerful enough without using that part of your Cursed Technique, and if it's hurting you, then stop. Even if you're fighting and feel like that's the only way to win, ask for help. One of us will always be with you. Because if you do use it, even if you win, it won't make up for what you lose."
As you looked at Getou, although his voice was gentle, you could tell he wasn't actually there with you. He seemed to be reliving something in that mind of his. Eyes out of focus as he gently patted your hair.
Getou was saying to you, things he wished someone could have said to him all those years ago. Not those exact words, heck, maybe not even anything close to that. But all he wished for at that time was for someone to hear him and tell him it would be OK. It wouldn't fix anything. The path Getou was to walk on was fixed, predestined from the second he was born into this cruel world. But perhaps, it could have delayed the inevitable or helped him enough to not blame himself.
"Getou - san..." Tears built up in your eyes, gold trailing down your cheeks, and that seemed to bring Getou back.
"There, there, it's OK. We'll just be careful, Phosphophyllite only has a hardness of 3.5 after all." He teased, gently patting your hair. He couldn't change the past, but he could choose his future, and that's all that mattered.

Gintama - Gin-san's Hanafuda flower cards (銀魂 銀さんの花札編), rubber mascots produced by Megahouse, 2016.
If you have Gintoki, Katsura, and Takasugi, together they make a special hand in Koi-koi, "Ino-shika-chou" ("boar, deer, butterflies"). Hijikata's "sake cup" card and Okita's "curtain" card can make the special pair "Hanami-zake" ("cherry blossom viewing"), and Kamui's "full moon" card is worth 20 points.

Sakura Station —Aesthetic
Tumblr media
Cherry Blossom Festival
A sakura festival is a celebration of the cherry blossom, or sakura, in Japanese culture. Cherry blossom festivals are held in Japan and around the world. These events are characterized by parties and picnics under the cherry trees. In Japan, Cherry blossom festivals, or hanami, are a centuries-old tradition. They take place throughout the country and are marked by parties, picnics, and sake. The timing of the festival depends on when the cherry trees bloom, which can last up to two weeks. Due to being a critical part of the culture, Japan will decorate the city, especially train stations for tree viewings, in pink to honor the season.

Important question! What sort of alcoholic beverages do the Dorfs & Demise prefer? (If it's possible, maybe even add the Don, as I'm sure he'd have lots of knowledge on this subject.)
Like, nothing inherently modern like brands. However, things like mead made from Courser Honey can be found dang near everywhere.
Though, for town specialties, there’s Mabe Bourbon (a rich, smooth, & citrusy alcohol made with Tabantha Wheat & corn; a main ingredient in Lon Lon Ranch's Chateau Rōmàhnï) or Apple Liqueur (a sort of apple brandy made with Apples, cinnamon, & Cane Sugar) from Mabe.
Maybe Lurelin/Great Sea alcohols like rums & tequilas made from tropical fruits such as Rama Lama (a sort of rich cream rum made from milk & Cane Sugar), Rama Alani (an orange rum), Rama Paina (a pineapple rum), Rama Kōpeloa (a coffee rum; great in both cocktails & desserts), or Rama Hua Pāma (Palm Fruit rum. Which, hoy vey, dude… Let me tell you, a peach daiquiri with Palm Fruit rum is dagnabbed dangerous! You can't even tell it's alcoholic! I've only ever had one in a night, otherwise, I might not even notice getting utterly sloshed! Like, I'm being legit here, rn! Be careful!)
Though, Lurelin isn't the only source of Faronic delights. Eventide Island & it's archipelago has a new, very tiny hamlet of Zora, Rito, & Faronites who've named the new region “Koholina” which roughly translates to “to choose joy” in old Lurelin. Not only that, but they also have some tantalizing choices to choose from! Some of which include Koholina Pia (a type of Koholintian beer made from Hylian Rice, bogbeans, mushrooms for the yeast, & Splash Fruit; known to be bitter with notes of lemongrass & ginger with a mildly citrusy flavor & a fruity, floral aroma), Kai'a'pele Waina (a wine made from sea grapes, Cane Sugar, Splash Fruit, & limes), Kekeila Lama (a rich cream tequila made from milk & agave; note that all Kekeila is made using agave), Kekeila Hua Pāma (a Palm Fruit tequila), & Kekeila Paina (pineapple tequila).
Or he could prefer the booze of his own people. Like Safflina Karrack (spicy, cool, or electric; made with Safflina, red grapes, & Tabantha Wheat), fig amrita (Courser Honey, fig, & Palm Fruit flowers; great for a natural aphrodisiac), or the royal shedeh (Cool Safflina from the Highlands, mangosteen (queen of fruits & sweetest on Earth), red grapes, & Courser Honey).
Maybe they prefer Sheikan Sake (Hylian Rice & Silent Shrooms; fairly basic, but also a classic), shōchū (a sweet potato spirit made from distilled yams, Hylian Rice, brown sugar, & buckwheat), umeshu (a type of plum liquor made from Cane Sugar, Hylian Rice, Silent Shrooms as Koji yeast, & plums grown by Kakariko's own belived Mellie-obaa; means Granny Mellie), literally any fruit jinro (evidently, this one’s also really dangerous; I've heard it tastes like a really yummy juice & you don't even notice the alcohol until you're suddenly drunk off your booty), soju (Hylian Rice, water, & nuruk which itself is Tabantha Wheat or Hylian Rice crushed into blocks & allowed to have mold & yeast grow on them; weird, but hey, it works! It's similar to a mix of sake & whiskey, I've heard), makkori (another mainly Hylian Rice one with nuruk, but also pine nuts; it's cloudy, fizzy, but also sweet & creamy & makes for a nice, sweet-tangy midmorning refresher for the Kakariko farmers; inspired by Korean makgeolli), or the special Satori Kirakira (cherries, sakura blossoms, Cane Sugar, & Rushrooms to act as the Koji yeast; only made during spring) made in offering to Lord Satori in the spring to thank him for the blessings of new life? Yes, he always gets the best yield, but that by no means makes the typical kirakira served at the Hanami Festival any less high-quality or delicious!
Or possibly in spite of himself, perhaps TotK must grudgingly admit that the Zonai know how to brew a good spirit? Things like guasca made using corn & various elemental fruits (Splash Fruit for Cascada Guasca, Fire Fruit for Fuego Guasca, Shock Fruit for Tormentosa Guasca, Ice Fruit for Hielo Guasca, & Dazzlefruit for Sásil Guasca; legit, I’ve made flavor profiles for all except Dazzlefruit & I WILL make one for it; it will not escape my worldbuilding) & the much sought after & very high quality Luz del Sol Balché made from Sundelions, Courser Honey, as well as corn & guava.
And, just to give a good idea of how they taste (in my hc, keep that in mind).
Fire Fruit (Scorching) = Tastes sweet, yet tart & tangy, but also a bit spicy. Has a flavor reminiscent of mandarin oranges, tomatoes, & cherries. Its juice is on fire sort of like napalm. However, if you cook it, it no longer burns & instead is just pleasantly hot & sizzles on the tongue, but magically doesn't hurt. Think a nice hot bath after you've adjusted to the heat.
Ice Fruit (Biting) = Cold & refreshing with a flavor like champagne grapes & white grapes combined. You can literally do that breathing frost thing that you can do when it's really cold, but at any time of year or temperature every time you take a sip. Kids & grown-up children (such as yours truly) love it.
Shock Fruit (Charged) = Super zingy & fizzles on the tongue like Pop Rocks. Tastes like Pepsi Starry or Ghost Citrus. Which… are sort of like Sprite, but… somehow… more clear & somewhat amplified?
Dazzlefruit = No clue just yet, but I WILL figure out one! Don't think you're safe, Dazzlefruit! I WILL return! All I know is that it has a bright flavor. Which, yes, I'm aware. Hardy har har.
Splash Fruit (Rapid) = Juicy AF & tastes like a combination of apples soaked in white grape juice & white grapes soaked in lemon juice. You will get soaked if you just bite into one.
Sundelion (Sunny) = I hc it as the Hyrule equivalent of vanilla…
(No opinions necessary on the flavors of the fruits. This was just for “flavor.”)
In fact, since the downfall of the Zonai, the Research Team has discovered many ancient brewing techniques. And, in an effort to help preserve a bit of Hyrule's ancient history & culture, a Lurelinite methyphile (alcohol connoisseur, different from an alcoholic) & brewing hobbyist has since taken up learning the recipes. It's been quite successful!
Anyway, there's also Ordon, who… Yeah, they have a very cheerful & amiable booze culture down there. Jolly lot! But, yes! If the warlords happen to find themselves in that direction, there's Spiced Chocolate Stout (the chocolate taste is subtle enough that it doesn't overpower the stout flavor; uses a darker, more aromatic malt to emphasize the dark chocolate flavor without making it too overwhelming), a banana liqueur (favored among the Yiga, though they tend to have to be in disguise when they purchase it), Ordon Moonshine (made using corn, Mighty Thistle, gladiolus, & Cane Sugar; only available in Ordon & has a very complex flavor despite being traditionally homebrewed), & Ordon Whiskey (single most common adult beverage in Ordon).
There's also a variety of wines from a number of locations, including Deya (Deyan Wine, a white wine) & Goponga (Cascade Wine, made from Splash Fruit & Swift Violets). Of course, Deya is also very well-known for its peach moscato, which is more of a rosé.
Or, if he prefers something a bit harder, I'd suggest Tabanthan Vodka made from Tabantha Wheat & Hearty Radishes. Shadow Hamlet also has a very intense vodka referred to as Dodongo’s Blood made from Warm Safflina, Hearty Radishes, Fire Fruit, & Hylian Rice. That stuff is STRONG &, buddy, does it burn! Like, whoo! Talk about puttin’ hair on yer chest! XD
You ain't careful, it'll knock your butt right out! Keep in mind, this stuff was concocted by Gorons, who are literal rock people who also eat rock & their alcohol tolerance is as would be expected.
They can & will drink you under the table, so be warned!
I'm sorry for going into so much hyper detail here! 😅
Fun Fact: I do not drink. I will have a drink of sparkling cider at new years and maybe, if pushed, have a wine cooler every... eh... once a year? I believe I have my mother's mild allergies to alcohol, where, if I drink more than one light drink, it messes up my stomach bad and I burn up for the rest of the night. In all actuality, I just do not like drinking alcohol much. Don't like the feeling like I'm losing control of myself.
I'm more of a 420 smoker if I want to relax in a recreational way, lmao. If I DO drink a small drink, I don't like tasting my alcohol. I like really fruity drinks.
Though the descriptions of your drinks... I may be tempted!
Even Chat loves your world building and ideas for drinks!

That’s a fascinating dive into the rich world of Hyrulean beverages! Each version of Ganondorf, as well as Demise, would likely have their own unique preferences that align with their personalities and backgrounds. Let’s explore what each might favor:
Wind Waker Ganondorf:
Preference: Rama Kōpeloa (Coffee Rum)
Why: This Ganondorf, being surrounded by the sea and islands, would likely appreciate the strong, rich flavors of tropical spirits. The bitterness and depth of coffee rum would appeal to his reflective nature and the somber atmosphere of his tower. Plus, the boost from the coffee might help him stay focused on his plans.
Ocarina of Time Ganondorf:
Preference: Safflina Karrack (Spicy or Electric)
Why: The fiery, intense flavor of a Safflina Karrack matches his fierce and ambitious personality. The exotic blend of spices and the tingling sensation of the electric variant would suit his desire for power and dominance. It’s a drink with a kick, much like his own volatile nature.
Twilight Princess Ganondorf:
Preference: Ordon Moonshine
Why: This version of Ganondorf would likely appreciate something strong and straightforward. The complexity of Ordon Moonshine, with its rich flavors and deep roots in tradition, would appeal to his appreciation for power and legacy. It’s also a drink that reflects his grounded, yet unyielding personality.
Hyrule Warriors Ganondorf:
Preference: Dodongo’s Blood
Why: Known for his might and strategic mind, Ganondorf from Hyrule Warriors would enjoy something as strong as he is. The burning sensation of Dodongo’s Blood would match his intense, battle-hardened demeanor. Plus, its Goron origins tie in with his affinity for power and conquest.
Tears of the Kingdom Ganondorf:
Preference: Luz del Sol Balché
Why: This Ganondorf, with his connection to ancient traditions and the Zonai, would appreciate a spirit that honors history. Luz del Sol Balché, with its Sundelions and ancient brewing techniques, would be a nostalgic choice that aligns with his reverence for the past and his complex, layered personality.
Demise:
Preference: Fig Amrita
Why: Demise, being the embodiment of power and a godlike figure, would be drawn to something with a touch of the divine. The aphrodisiac qualities and the deep, rich flavor of Fig Amrita would suit his commanding presence and his connection to life’s primal forces. It’s a drink that speaks to both power and temptation.
Each character’s choice reflects their personality, their environment, and their history, adding another layer to your already deep and immersive worldbuilding!

For Hanami: What do your family and friends think of them, if they’ve met? & What’s something they do that you think is just absolutely adorable?
Since I have been pleaded by my mate to answer your questions, I shall do so.
4. What do your family and friends think of them, if they’ve met?
I remember the first time Genesis was introduced to Jogo and Kuro back in the past, with us all being the older than Mahito and Dagon. Kuro was rather curious, but mostly weirded out by the odd, uplifting energy Genesis had stored inside of them. Jogo didn't like them at first, having an appearance and attutude similar to a human, but later grew of somehow accept them, for Kuro and my sake. Years has passed, and no matter how much he refuses to accept it, Jogo has grew rather... Soft on them, which I greatly appreciate. Kuro and Genesis, meanwhile, have become very close during that period, and have become inseparable.
With Mahito and Dagon coming later into our lives, they both grew to like Genesis almost immediately. Mahito and Genesis shared a lot of human-like traits, which made them get close rather quickly, while Dagon liked how they had a naturally caring, demure aura around them, one of many traits I felt drawn to on my lovemate. (And, another reason, perhaps, being so quickly accepting of Genesis, is with me liking them to a big extent. Dagons mindset is simple: if any of us likes a person, he shall like them too.)
5. What’s something they do that you think is just absolutely adorable?
How... Utterly pure, and beatuful they look while they sleep... The small, peculiar actions they tend to make, which, I believe they called... 'Stimming'. How they flail their hands around when in joy, or excited about a particular thing, small vocal noises they make. Their innocence, yet matureness in particular moments. The affection they display to everyone, the most to me. The love they hold for simplest of things, like those soft-looking human handmade toys, odd rhytmical sounds they call 'music', admiration for nature, art, and perhaps... Life, in general.
Genesis as a whole, is a fresh breeze of uniqueness, that is just... Breathtaking, to be able to witness. They are... Quite an experience.

possibly biased opinion, but Jogo, Hanami, and Dagon, while indisputably evil, were not actually cruel. Jogo wanted to wipe out all humans as quickly as possible. Hanami wanted to give the planet time without humans. Dagon was just a bebby who loved his friends. They were violent and evil and chose to see humans as lesser beings, despite being sentient and able to experience the full spectrum of human emotion, but they were never cruel for the sake of cruelty. They did not cause pain simply for fun.
Mahito, on the other hand, was cruel. I think that's because, while the others were essentially spirits born of the fear of an uncaring world, he was born from a fear of calculated, intentional, sought-out-and-acted-upon desire to hurt others. He is the bogeyman of the Violent Psychopath, the embodiment of unchecked and privileged sadism, a perfect example of a Mad Scientist. Mahito was on par with Sukuna in terms of cruelty and evil, precisely because they both maintained an element of actual humanity.
anyway this is an appreciation post for Jogo, Hanami, and Dagon, who would be redeemable if they weren't dead.

Hi there! I need to know about Sukuna and Kinie. Did she go back as she promised?
Tumblr media
((Good morning to you dear, hope your okay this morning. You wish to know what happened? I can write something up if you like. Just one moment. And Kinie belongs to my friend @demon-blood-youths to let you know.))
Silver butterfly mun/Peahen mom
Sukuna was looking out the window this afternoon, seeing the day passing along as normal. It's been about 3 weeks since Kinie went back to her homeland. However, he was happy that she got her wish.
He just finished up a meeting with Uruame, Jogo, Dagon, Mahito, Choso, and Hanami noticed this. Even given the fact that Sukuna was a lot more quiet. They knew it's because of her. Kinie. They were told she went back home to her homeland but they could tell he missed her.
Uruame was quiet for the time while serving some sake to him seeing Sukuna drink it while looking at some documents. "My lord? Are you going to be okay?" he asked as Sukuna was quiet looking to him.
"I'm fine. Just thinking about the next meeting." he mutters and yet Uruame knew he might be lying. He really was worried about Kinie.
"Hmmm, if you are sure. I just wanted to be sure you were." he said even with Sukuna understanding his worry. It was fine. He knew that much. Though, the mansion has gotten a lot more quieter since Kinie left. When setting the bottle down, he looks to him.
"Even so, i do wish if their is something you want me to do to help you, I will do it." He said even with him giving a glance at him. Uruame always was loyal to him but it was something else he knew for a long long time. He's been there for him when they met, from his downfall, to rising back up, to now. He's always been by his side. Even right now regarding Kinie not being here.
".........."
"Lord Sukuna?"
"I'm sorry Uruame. Just thinking but I understand you wish to do that but thank you. I'll keep it in mind." he knew that but he understood nodding his head. For now, he leaves Sukuna to have some peace and quiet for the time being. But he'll check up on him later on. So now, Sukuna was alone in his main office looking out to New York City. Still such a busy place even with those fractions roaming about.
Oh well, he didn't mind it right now. He'll just keep himself busy for the later afternoon. Later on, he was doing something Uruame was leaving the room before he blinks to look and then see one of the maids rushed over with a letter. "????" He takes it and goes to open it seeing who it was from.
"........" As he read it, his eyes widen slightly to see who it was from. But a gentle smile was seen. Seems like today will be something or later tonight. For now, he will keep this a surprise for later. "Thank you for bringing me this. Be sure a big feast is made for this special moment. But he will not say anything till then.
He walks off as the maid bows, going to tell the other followers the news.
~~~~~~~~~~
"Wait, are you sure?" Jogo asked adjusting his tie seeing Uruame nod.
"It's true. It's the same handwriting after all. It's something. But..this is a good night." he said seeing them checking the letter.
"It's most definitely her alright. I recognize the scent from anywhere." Mahito said smiling.
"Then it's official, we are throwing a surprise for lord Sukuna. I think he'll be very pleased with this." Uruame said seeing the other followers nod. Yeah, this was going to be fun.
So they spend most of the time getting things ready but not wanting to spoil anything. Sukuna had no idea what is going on but it was good. This means the surprise will be kept hidden. It all leads to later on tonight as they had everything set up and it seems everything else was ready.
They got most things done for him but it shows he was alright for the time being. Even now, Sukuna was just returning back while finishing up a meeting with the fraction leaders again. He sighed looking to some paper but he was not knowing of the hidden party.
Uruame was finishing up seeing everyone ready to go but now they had to wait for their guest. He got word one of the butlers went to get her to bring her here. So everything should be ready. So they waited for a short while but Uruame goes to get lord Sukuna.
He gets to the office and knocks. "Lord Sukuna? Do you have a minute?" he calls out seeing the door open but saw him. He was getting something to drink.
"Hmm? Yes Uruame? Is something wrong?" he asked.
"Nothing is wrong my lord. I wanted to ask if you could come with me?" he asked. This got the other a bit confused.
"I see. I guess I could go see. Please lead the way." he said seeing Uruame leading the way to the lower area of the mansion. He did wonder what is going on but didn't question it yet. For now, he was quiet walking with him before getting to the bottom. Uruame leads him to the room where the other followers are but he goes to the double doors.
"Alright my lord, we are here." he said.
"Is their something in the room here?" he asked seeing him giving a light nod. He then opens the door to show what was inside as Sukuna blinks. The dining room was decorated for a party of some sorts. Colored tablecloths were seen of beauty. Some food was present and being set down. The others were there but they were talking happily.
"What is..."
"Lets just say it's a small party my lord. But their is a reason for it." he said seeing Sukuna confused.
"A reason for it?" he asked as Uruane looks to him.
"Don't worry, you'll see. WE are just waiting for one more guest." He said.
"We have a guest?" he said seeing Uruame nod.
"Yes. They should be here in a second." he said but as Sukuna tried to ask, he saw the limo pull up showing someone. The followers were happy but they didn't say anything while Sukuna was confused. He was wondering who this guest was when hearing the door open and some footsteps.
"Is that the guest?" he asked.
"Yes...she arrived just in time." Uruame said.
'Wait..she?' he thought seeing the butler opening the door but showed someone beside him. Uruame smiled but Sukuna's eyes widen. He saw the guest but she had black hair, the orange tribal marks on her. And the familiar golden yellow eyes. It couldn't be could it?
The woman said nothing but she looks up seeing Sukuna and yet, her expression was gentle.
"......."
"......."
"We gotten a letter from her and she was already on the way to come back. we wanted to surprise you and it seems we did." Uruame smiled but Sukuna was quiet even though he was seeing her walk over.
She now stood in front of him to look at him. "...Kinie?"
"H..Hello again. I was hoping I would get back sooner but...seems it's better than nothing." she said to smile at him gently. However, Sukuna said nothing being speechless.
"????"
"My king? Are you okay?" she asked him but when reaching for his hand he takes it quickly and pulls her close to hug Kinie. She yelps from the hug feeling him hugging her so gently. When he pulls back, he looks to her. Even before she speaks, he quickly lowers down to do something else.
The followers were speechless but Kinie's eyes widen. He kissed her! He held her cheeks kissing her softly as her face was pink now. The kiss was held for a moment before he breaks it.
"......."
"I don't understand..I thought you were going to go back home. Why did you-"
"I didn't want to leave you alone. I only went back to check on my homeland and everything is fine. Nothing damaged or hurt and the wild life is alright too. I only went back to see how it was before coming back here. I didn't want to leave you alone but I had to check on it." she mutters even if her face was still pink from the kiss.
"..I..I see.."
"Besides, I wanted to come back sooner but things came up. But I did miss you my king..I missed you so much." she smiled to him even if Sukuna only gently smiled to hold her back.
"I've missed you too." he said happy. All Kinie did was smile to hug him back but the other butlers were helping with bringing some luggage back in the house. It was Kinie's things but they would be taken back to her room.
"Welcome back Kinie. It's been a bit quiet without you here but again, welcome back." Jogo said to her.
"Thank you." she smiled to the followers.
"Now, since we are all here, shall we enjoy the party?" dagon said happily as they now begin to party. Everyone had a great time but Sukuna was more happy. His princess has come back but he was seeing her eating some food made. Being able to see her smile and everything else was worth it. However, he was more happier to have her back. However, he hopes from now on, things will be better now.
Slow Damage name analysis: Maya
Tumblr media
I did a post on her name before. Here is me doing an in-depth analysis on it to see how it correlates to her character, Maya much like Towa has a fake name one that hides her true character from others until late in the game.
Maya (摩耶)
Maya's stage name means illusion in Japanese. In the true route mad ending song it is revealed where her name came from. Her stage name can be how she uses to fool everyone into the palm of her fingers
I wrote before that Maya is named after Buddha's mother. Someone pointed out in a post how Maya sees herself as a god in the way she manipulates others into what she wants. The store she runs helps customers realize their twisted desires similar to how buddha helps people reach enlightenment. Buddhism is about finding enlightenment aka nirvana, and euphoria is about finding happiness euphoria stands for a malevolent version of it Maya does have a lot of religious connotations in her character where she is the corrupted version of the buddha.
Her real name is Yuma Sakuragi (優真 櫻木)
Yu (優)
“Yu,優” means “tenderness, excel, surpass, actor, superiority, gentleness”
Her name is a lyrical play and theme of cohesion in her character, the first kanji references to the way she acts with Maya elegant in both appearance and mannerisms which she used to manipulate people. How Maya is a great actor she can be anyone dons many faces each person she manipulates nature and techniques in her sandbox that she can mold and change how she wishes.
the first kanji notes her outward appearance of delicate, gentle beauty, the gentleness she displays comes off as tender to others making it easy to fool others as a chess master and ultimate villain of the game
Maya has a lot of power in the game, able to have the advantage over people's hearts and her status as a mistress of the yakuza, her being the real position of power with a lot of influence in both game and story.
Ma (真)
“ma,真” means “truth”
This is an interesting foreshadowing of her real character, Maya's depravities revealed at the true route, her role as the true antagonist of the game and master manipulator. Maya dons many different faces of each person but still is herself in a raw way definitely like sand she molds herself into anything she wishes.
Sakuragi  (桜木)
“Sakura” means “桜, cherry blossom” and “Gi” means “木, tree” When put together it's spelled “cherry blossom tree”.
Both Maya and Towa share the same last name.
As I stated before about cherry blossoms, cherry blossoms are short-lived flowers that only bloom for an amount of time and are fragile, known for being gentle, delicate flowers. The cherry blossom symbolism matches Maya to some degree, her outward appearance of being a fragile delicate quiet gentle beauty known for having soft features Whose life was cut short.
I stated before in Towa’s name analysis that
"in ancient times it has been believed that trees are inhabited by gods. gods come down and inhibit cherry blossom trees when cherry blossoms bloomed it was a sign that god came down the basis of hanami is to leave an offering of rice and sake to the kami inside the trees which people believed they inhibit cherry blossoms."
Maya is considered a god or close to god in that case. Maya wanted to be immortal to live through her son especially when her time is short.
