Entergram will release the console ports of Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Hanayui no Kirameki for PlayStation 4 and Switch, the company announced. A release date was not announced.

Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Hanayui no Kirameki is a port of the iOS, Android, and browser game of the same name, which ended service on October 28, 2022.

The port includes all eight volumes of the game’s story, as well as many additional illustrations and scenarios added to the game’s existing content, and a new story written exclusively for the console release. The game will also be fully voiced.

Honestly, if it wasnt for all the grimdark and ableism and sexualized part, the entire YuYuYu franchise would probably be much more famous due to how wholesome its characters are. YuYuYu is like the closest to a "traditional" magical girl show among all of the dark magical girl series nowadays.

One of its spinoff game, Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Hanayui no Kirameki (or YuYuYui for short), is essentially a Slice Of Life mahou shojo game. If there werent any grimdark part, it's basically a traditional magical girl game with random monster attack and young girls bonding with each others across space and time. Its really adorable. The main story chapters in the game are wholesome characters interactions and friendship growing. The other chapters (some call them scenarios) like the Hard/Expert part of main chapters or the Events (which include Birthdays, New Year, Summer Festivals and other shenanigans of the cast) are full of adorkable, wholesome and heartwarming moments between the Heroes.

I think you should check out the game Events (especially the Birthday ones) on Youtube, the game has sadly shut down but all the chapters that were translated is up on youtube. The main story is still tied to the grimdark part of the series, but the Events are literally just cute Slice Of Life episodes of a Maho Shojo anime!

This would sound all good and nice if I didn't knew about YuYuYu and its lore; but unfortunately, I know the lore and I hate it with a passion. Kinda hard for me to enjoy this ensemble when I know about the ableism, the sexualization and the war crimes.

About the future of My Gaming Diary tags...

Let's get into the series franchise I want to discuss. First, Crestoria shuts down one day after DeliPa starts airing, then Luminaria few months later (the announcement even coincides with 5th anniversary of Yu-Gi-Oh! VRAINS too!), then almost one year later the PNG-heavy Asteria follows suit as well.

And today, unfortunately, Tales of the Rays fell victim of being defunct by July 23, 2024. Similar to Yuki Yuna wa Yuusha de aru Hanayui no Kirameki, this was announced just two months after its final anniversary (in Rays' case, 7th). Is this saddens you? Yes. Am I shocked? A bit, because I had a bad feeling when I heard ABSOLUTELY NO NEWS about the new content that was supposedly released few days earlier, just like Symphogear XDU did. But after I heard about the news that offline version was in production, I'm a bit relieved, so there's still a chance to revisit your old memories even when the online one shuts down. Now Crestoria casts will be incomplete forever just like they did with Asteria, and Luminaria casts will never get a chance to shine in The Rays...

Moving back to the topic, about 'My Gaming Diary' tag, it would seem that it's far most unlikely to be updated because my main focus is on my gaming experience. With Idol Land PriPara focusing too much on Coord reruns with very little new Coords added, I doubt that I can continue for too long if this keeps up. Therefore, since many of my mobile game shuts down like Pretty Cure Tsunagaru Puzzlun and Tales of Link (another Tales Of mobile game), I highly doubt I will continue on this tag anymore if PriPara shuts down too. So I would thank everyone in advance for those who follow my gameplay experience, and it was fun when it lasted. But I won't stop using my Tumblr though, I will keep posting for more of new content that I'm interested in, so you don't need to worry about that.

the new miyagi captains are invited to a tv interview and futakuchi makes it his goal to get ennoshita to laugh on camera. you end up laughing instead. i read every joke in this 3 times to fully appreciate them and the ending has the greatest Suffering Captains™ scene ever (check the comments for some exposition on what the teams were doing while the captains were away ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) it’s not inappropriate i just thought it was a good time to pull out a lenny face).

misaki hana works through her feelings about her performance as johzenji’s manager, with some help from michimiya yui. i loved how the importance of managers to their teams was central to the plot. this fic feels relatable and real, and i think it has something to do with how the author writes misaki’s thoughts knowing that every decision she makes is an insight into her character. this fic is so good, i love hana so much, pls read

oohira reon and kai nobuyuki strike up a friendship at their first nationals, and it grows into something more over the next three years. this fic is really...quiet. the mood is so soft and calming and it fits oohira and kai so well. i want fanart of the snaps reon sends kai because l m a o, i love tendou. and i love reon. and i love reonkai. there are 4 fics in this ship’s tag. j o i n  u s in this suffering

a bouquet of flours by @guyfierimpreg (i am LOVING the url, matsuhana, 5k, G)

matsukawa and hanamaki raise a sack of flour together. i don’t think i have to say more but i LOVE THIS so i will. the dialogue is sharp and the jokes are so funny without falling into the Matsuhana Meme Trap (removing the characterization from their jokes until it’s just a reference to the latest meme. i think they would have meme preferences, memeferences if you will). the author’s voice is really strong and relatable. think of the greatest series finale of a tv show you’ve ever seen, and the ending to this fic is better than that.

just 5.7k words celebrating aone. we are all dateko #relatable. the plot isn’t fully revealed until a little bit into the fic so i don’t want to spoil it, but let me just say aone laughs in this. that’s all u need to know tbh. god bless nametsu, i hope she’s doing alright

florist! iwaoi! au!!! in which oikawa keeps stopping by iwaizumi and ushijima’s flower store. iwaizumi loves plants and oikawa and i’m LIVING. there’s some florist au trope subversion (i never thought i would type those words in that order) and a scene involving a dog that was hilarious. ushijima is iwa’s best friend but he still has banter with oikawa, and it’s a nice break from characterizations where he’s emotionless. this one is so soft and good, pls read

akaashi pulls a muscle in his shoulder so bokuto invites him to his house to do yoga. i laughed so hard reading this, akaashi’s inner monologue is all of us when thinking about bokuto (and not to spoil some of the best parts but akaashi’s inner monologue is sometimes in kuroo’s voice and he has so many regrets, it’s hilarious). there’s a perfect mix of angst (bokuto’s dad passed away, if that’s something you need to know!) and humor, and the tone is so akaashi. there’s a line akaashi says about kenma that i’m getting tattooed on my face, a line from kuroo about certain relationship struggles that i’m getting tattooed on my arm, and the rest of this fic is going on my back. all-around great bokuaka. 

in this same space (stay for a minute) by @hweiro (iwaoi, 23k, T)

cosplayer/doujinka au iwaoi! i knew nothing about half of those words before reading this but the author makes everything really clear and easy to understand. the mutual pining is portrayed so creatively; in fact, the entire fic is well-written and impressively meta. like no joke, there’s at least 3 layers of complexity. 10/10 would recommend

iwaizumi watches as oikawa dates other people and can’t figure out why it makes him feel weird. for six years. this fic is so funny that the notes made me laugh. the mutual pining is so good and iwaizumi and oikawa are so soft together. there’s also a hilarious interpretation of what it’s like when people have been assuming you’ve been dating the whole time. shoutout to iwaizumi’s suitemates.

Akamine Speculation

Warning: Very long post. More under the cut

You all know that several days ago, Akamine Yuna made her grand debut on Hanayui no Kirameki. However, her appearance has formulated a lot of questions that hopefully, will be answered as the game progresses (and if the rumoured Akamine family novel Takahiro teased way back ever comes to life). For the time behind, i'll make some speculations about her era.

Her family comes from Okinawa. They able to safely evacuate to Shikoku thanks to a certain okinawan Hero (Yuyuyui ch. 13). The idea of okinawan survivors explains the question of why Natsume has a grave on the the monument of war dead.

Unlike the previous Heroes, the Shinju never gave her a outfit, just powers (Yuyuyui ch.13). The reason for this could be because unlike them, she never had to fight Vertexes, only fellow humans who worshipped them. While a strange strategical desition on the Taisha's part, it makes sense: A Hero's outfit is to act as their armor against the Vertexes and make them durable. Akamine only fought humans, who are, obviously, easier to kill/defeat/whatever. Akamine is skilled in interpersonal warfare, and maybe, to keep the theme of the Yunas punching the shit outta everything, martial arts. She definitely gives off the impression of having a hands-on approach to fighting. Or i could be wrong, and she is better at stealth and deception like a ninja. Basically, the Akamine era Heroes seem like they more like covert assassins/Taisha-sponsored vigilantes than straightforward Heroes.

She fought alongside (or was supported by) a member of the Miroku family (probably Miroku Renge?). We know that while the Akamine family are highly influential within the Taisha ranks in present day, the Mirokus, while considerably rich (Yumiko supposedly has a butler named Alfred and loves to drink tea.), got the short end of the stick: they are relatively obscure and the object of ridicule of many noble families. Maybe Miroku did something similar to what Chikage did (attacked civilians and tried to murder Wakaba on a trump card-induced madness), the Taisha conducted a smear campaign against her and as a result her family fell into ruin, which ties into my next theory:

The Taisha of the Akamine era was very, very corrupt. Think about it. Akamine said the state of her Shikoku is "complicated", and says if they understood what she went throught, they would understand why she sides with the Vertexes. How awful things in her era were to the point she prefers to side with the rebelling gods?. And if the translation of her page on the Dengeki G's magazine is to go by, her era was also known as "The Age of Demons". (a nice religious motif to go with: Christian Era, Demon Era, Divine Era.). The demons could be refering to the Vertex cultist terror attacks. So, let's imagine this: ??? DE. A dark time for the remnants of humanity. Insecurity and fear abound in the street. Around this time, people start thinking of the Vertexes and Heavenly gods as saviors instead of enemies, and start worshipping them accordingly. They believe in the erradication of humanity and total destruction of the Shinju. After all, this world is already wretched. Shouldn't it be ideal to just end it already?. The Taisha is just as low as ever. Corruption runs rampant on it despite efforts on the non-corrupt noble families. Vertex worshippers masquerade as Shinju-sama worshippers and carry out their agenda. Terror attacks start happening left and right. Thousands injured, some dead, morale is an all-time low. For some, this era seems far worse than when Vertexes were still attacking. However, there is a faint hope in the shape of two young girls. The pureness of their hearts made the Shinju-sama choose them as "Heroes" to protect humanity and end this eternal darkness. Together, they dealt with corrupt taisha members, vertex worshippers and terrorists, all to protect their everyday life... Sounds awesome, huh?.

I have a lot more of speculations to make, but i'll leave it at that. If i am wrong in something feel free to correct me or add your own speculations. I thought i would be fun to make our own theories to pass time while waiting for more content on this awesome franchise.

Alternatives to Magia Record

So you’ve been hyping up and waiting for Puella Magi Madoka Magica Gaiden: Magia Record to drop, and finally you managed to get your hands on it via QooApp. Unfortunately, a week into playing the game the developers decided that everyone who got their hands on it via APK are no longer able to access the game - if you want it, your only option is either the Apple Store or Google Play. And you know full well that the game isn’t available internationally. And while VPN might help if your phone was compatible in the first place (mine wasn’t), the other option available, Android Debug Bridge might pose some risks to your phone. Dejectedly, you uninstalled the game possibly for the rest of your phone’s life and wait for an international release (if there ever will be). 

BUT there are mobile games based on other Magical Girl series out there! They may not have similar gameplay to Magia Record (The closest would be Fate: Grand Order), but if you loved these series as well you might just be able to enjoy them just as much. And they don’t have that irritating restriction.

Alt. 1) Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de aru: Hanayui no Kirameki (Yuki Yuna is a Hero: The Brilliant Bouquet)

This game was released in May and features every Hero in the franchise’s run.  (with the exception of the newly released Kusunoki Mebuki wa Yuusha de aru) It features a new plot where the Hero Club post-anime is summoned by Hinata Uesato from NoWaYu to within the Shinju-sama for a special mission - there’s internal conflict between the gods who make up the Shinju-sama and the Heroes are needed to get both factions to reconcile before the tree falls apart. They are later joined by the Heroes from WaSuYu, NoWaYu, ShiUYu and two game exclusive Heroes from the NoWaYu timeline - Sekka Akihara from Hokkaido and Natsume Kohagura from Okinawa. Aside from the game’s plotline, you get to relive the 4 existing stories in the franchise:

Yuki Yuna’s Chapter: the whole anime + Sonoko After

Washio Sumi’s Chapter: the first 3 chapters of its Light Novel

Nogi Wakaba’s Chapter: up to chapter 8/9 of its Light Novel

Shiratori Utano’s Chapter: almost everything

The gameplay is similar to a tower-defense game: players move around a Hero (or a pair of Heroes - each team has 3 Heroes, each of them having 1 assistant Hero and up to 2 fairies) across the board to fend off incoming Vertexes. Vertexes come in from your left while Heroes are on the right - if either 3 Vertexes or the boss Vertex gets to the right side of the board where the Shinju-sama is, it’s game over. You get a reward for clearing the level, with additional rewards if everyone lives and if you complete the level within a certain time. There are also bonus rewards for clearing a scene within the Chapter, and another if every level in the scene has 3 stars. 

Drop rate is decent enough - there are 2 Gachas for friend points (fairies and the occasional Hero - if the Shinju-sama really likes you you can get a SR Hero in this one) and Shinju’s Blessings (premium currency - gives you Heroes up to SSR. I suggest saving up to do a 10-roll. If Yuna Yuki shows up it means that you have at least a new (S)SR - if Togo shows up with her it means that every card in the roll is new, but take this bit with a grain of salt). But don’t get your high hopes up too much. Additionally, there are Hero Medals which is used to either buy stuff from the store or upgrade your Hero System (do this first before spending the rest in the store) and doing certain missions gets you Botamochi to regain energy to play longer. 

Gameplay itself is challenging as you need to figure out which Heroes and Fairies go best with each other, taking into mind the level’s element and Hinata’s Oracle. And then there are a few occasions where the speed criteria is unfulfillable or if a particularly pesky Vertex manages to KO one of your Heroes at the start. But if 2 Heroes have a high enough relationship via you putting them together more, the cost needed for them to work together again will be lower, allowing you to equip fairies with a higher cost.

Overall, a fun and challenging game, but there are spoilers all over the place (particularly with the WaSuYu team and a certain newbie to the YuYuYu team) so catch up with the franchise first.

Alt. 2) Precure Tsunagarun Puzzlun (Precure Connecting Puzzle)

Released sometime in late February to early March, this puzzle game features every Precure in the franchise (well, most of it. At launch you get to choose between Max Heart, Go Princess and Mahou Tsukai, with Kira Kira a la Mode, Heartcatch, Smile and recently Doki Doki joining in. It’ll have everyone. Eventually.) tasked to defeat bad guys and restore various magical lands back together with guidance from Mofurun. 

Gameplay is a lot simpler than Hanayui no Kirameki - playing as a single Cure, you have to link at least 3 puzzle pieces to deal damage to monsters, obtaining power-ups and getting rid of/bypassing obstacles along the way. You win if the boss’s health bar reaches 0 and lose if yours reaches 0 instead. The circle with your Cure’s portrait lets you use their special move when you fill it up enough. The more difficult part of the game are Cure Challenges - using certain Cures to complete certain missions gets you an exclusive card. Each character also comes in 7 different colours - the more colours per level the more difficult it is to make larger chains.

As for drop rate... ... apparently, the more characters there are, the less likely you’ll get a certain card of your fancy. Character selection is also severely imbalanced, with every team having at least 1 Pink while your only Cure available for the White team (for now) is Cure White, which makes daily training during weekends a bit of a pain. Once in a while, for certain events, there will be 2 Gachas - a regular Gacha and a limited time Gacha focusing on a certain team. Again, save your premium currency Gems for a 10-roll/limited Gacha. 

There will be a chance that you’ll get bored easily, but the developers do try their best to get you playing at least once per day. At least there’s no spoiler warning unless you joined the team halfway through its run or sequel. I’d still watch a few episodes first beforehand.

Alt. 3) Senki Zesshou Symphogear X-Drive Unlimited

Like the first 2, this game has every Symphogear user throughout the franchise run, including older versions of the characters, retired ones and dead ones. Unfortunately, I can’t provide more info for this since I don’t play the game, but I do know people on Facebook who are die-hard players. 

Aside from reliving every season in the franchise, there are other events exclusive to the game such as Senki Zesshou Symphogear 3.5 (connects the 3rd season and 4th season) as well as alternate universes where certain things happened in one way or another, usually travelling via the Gjallarhorn Relic. 

I’m not sure how the drop rate is like, but think of it as between Tsunagarun Puzzlun and Hanayui no Kirameki. As for gameplay, you take a team of 3 Symphogears and fight in real-time to the music from the series you choose from your music box.

Spoilers for the whole series abound, so watch everything first.

There are others out there, but ultimately it depends on what you’ve watched and whether you truly enjoyed it. Hopefully Magia Record gets localised for international users, since this has happened to other games under Aniplex from what I hear.

Well, I know it has been about a month since I last posted on Tumblr, but anyways, I have recently installed two games from QooApp, one being a Traditional Chinese of Magia Record and the other being the Japanese game, Yuki Yuna Is A Hero - Bouquet of Brilliance (or Hanayui no Kirameki). Well, I may not know any Traditional Chinese, but I still miss the English Service of that game. As for Yuki Yuna Is A Hero - Bouquet of Brilliance, I know it's all in Japanese, but, I hope I could use some help understanding the dialogue. Maybe one day, I could record gameplays of these and maybe upload them somewhere. I don't know about YouTube due to the whole Copyright music from Aniplex thing happening. Perhaps I could upload these onto the alternatives I have, like VidLii, Tracle and maybe BitChute.

Yuyuyu Livestream highlights

As part of the Five Tenet Announcement project, the fifth and final announcement is a new anime series! Titled Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru Churutto!  Featuring all 27 characters from the cast, it will have the same animation style as the Yuuki Yuuna is a Club Member shorts.

But, nanto! It seems the fifth announcement wasn’t the final tenet and theres an upcoming secret sixth tenet in the near future

With how much hype this has been building up for the past year, it’s highly likely this will be the Nogi Wakaba wa Yuusha de Aru anime adaptation (but don’t get your hopes up too high just yet).

Lastly, the Yuusha de Aru radio show is making a comeback on June 5th! From left to right, Terui Haruka (Akamine Yuuna), Itou Miku (Miroku Renge), and Matsui Eriko (Kiryuu Shizuka) will be featured on the new program, Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru Hanayui no Kirameki Yuushabu Katsudou Houkoku.

Two magical girl series with each other! Yesterday Symphogear XDU had a collab with Yuki Yuna wa Yuusha de Aru Season 3 and I got all the cards quite recently. And it's a good design too!

On the somber note, this also coincides with the shutdown announcement of Yuki Yuna wa Yuusha de Aru: Hanayui no Kirameki (or YuYuYui) after 5 years of business. Perhaps this collab was announced to go out with a bang for the final months of YuYuYu mobile game, but it's still sad despite I didn't play YuYuYui aside of video gameplay...
