Project Q is an organization can't speaking highly enough of. Owned and founded by a nonbinary black person, they provide free haircuts to homeless and low income folk, prioritizing POC's. And of course, they actually know how to work with POC hair. I'm not affiliated with the organization, but I have benefited from their services and know their founder.

They specialize in youth services, and work with the LA LGBT center. And they do various workshops where your payment for their services is your participation in the events. Its a fantastic org and if you can, please support them.

You’re wondering if the scalp massage is free given how his thumbs and fingers worked the shampoo and conditioner in so well you think it might be soaked into your brain. Don’t even get me started on his smile when he checks in to see how you’re liking the look so far or how it feels when he tilts your chin one way or the other with two fingers, adjusting the angle of the cut.
