An Horizon AU were I try to be as historically accurate to the Neolithic as possible while still upholding the feel of the game.

 “Aren’t you kinda small for an Oseram?” 

“And aren’t you far from your land Nora?”  The young man replied without looking up from his workbench.

Jason grimaced when Stephanie’s boney elbow slammed into his stomach. 

“Behave” the blonde Carja hissed at him. “He’s the one I get my upgrades from”

Jason had met Stephanie at one of the Carja’s hunting grounds and shared a few pints of strong Oseram ale while nursing bruises from a sneaky Watcher. He found an unlikely friend in the Carja and asked who built her weapons, looking to upgrade his own. She had looked at him for a long time over their empty ales before telling him to meet her tomorrow morning next to one of the towers in Meridian. Together they had climbed hundreds of steps up the tower, while she ignored all of his questions. 

Now here he was at the top of the tower, looking out the glass windows of the large room he found himself in. The view was so vast he couldn’t help but squint to try and see Mother’s Heart from this height. 

“I brought you a paying customer” Stephanie called out as a greeting to the young man bent over a contraption of wire and steel. 

Jason struggled for a few seconds to pull his gaze from the windows before he turned it to the man Stephanie had brought him to meet. Everything about him screamed Carja but he wore Oseram leathers. He was pretty like the Carja but his hands held the sparking wires like a veteran Oseram Tinker. 

So when he opened his mouth, and Jason’s words came tumbling out, he was pleasantly surprised by how quick the man’s tongue was, before frowning at the blonde.

“You told him about me?” He wondered when she would have the time, he definitely wouldn’t want to climb those stairs with a few pints in him, especially not late at night. 

“Nah, I went home to sleep off the ales last night but Creep over there” Stephanie crossed her arms over her chest “ has ears all over the Sundom” She wiggles her fingers at him, like that was supposed to spook him. 

“I like knowing when I’m talked about and Oracle gave me a heads up I would have visitors today” the man straightened his posture and blue eyes, turned even brighter by the Carja-red feather markings around them, stared at Jason. The man’s eyes dropped to his boots and slowly dragged up his body, the gaze as intense as a hunting Sawtooth, made Jason’s body flush with adrenaline and desire. 

“Good armor,” the man noted once he was done with his slow dragging gaze.

“Made it myself.” 

Jason was not a Stitcher but the years of growing up an outcast made him handy with a needle and wires. 

“But I can make it better” the man smirked as he held out a hand. 

Flushing now in anger, Jason moved to take the man’s arm before his own hand was pushed away.

“I want to look at your armor” the man rolled his eyes like Jason was being willfully ignorant “Strip. I don’t have all day.” He commanded as he started to clear his workbench. Jason’s poor body was flushed with too many hot emotions. 

Glaring at the rude man, Jason ground out between clenched teeth “Maybe I don’t want your work now. You can’t even offer me a name and I’m sure there’s other Tinkers in this city, who won’t be so mouthy.” Or as lovely. 

Bright blue eyes lazily looked at him before a sharp Snapmaw smile spread across his pretty face. “You may call me Tim, and my weapons have no rival.”

Ok im about three years late but heres what little of this I ended up writing

“I was told you’d be alone.” The voice startled them both, and Aloy turned to spot the man approaching from the shadows. It was just after seven thirty, and she was almost afraid that they’d come too late, that the informant had already left.  But there he was, dressed down in dark jeans with scuffed boots, and a leather jacket decorated with swatches of colour, almost like feathers over the shoulders and sleeves. His expression was dark, watching the two of them from under his brows despite the fact that he towered over them both. “I wasn’t told I was meeting you until a little over an hour ago,” Aloy replied, purposefully stepping between Beta and the stranger. “So we’re all making do here tonight.”  The man looked from Aloy to Beta and then back again, his gaze settling on her.

“You are Aloy?” “I am. This is my sister, Beta,” Aloy nodded over her shoulder. “And you are?” “Marshall Kotallo,” he shifted slightly, tilting his chin up, and in that moment Aloy noticed his left sleeve swinging gently in the night time breeze. “I was requested to meet you here to speak about Elisabet Sobeck.”

a modern/near future au of sorts. a hit job gone wrong sends aloy on a spiralling quest to find out what really happened to her mother after the great Dr Elisabet Sobeck disappeared into witness protection some fifteen years prior.

Will he use those variations in the story? Yes! :D hehe. Also, in this AU only Aloy wears Oseran armor while only Beta wears Carja armor, because Oseran's armor is too heavy and noisy for Beta's stealth strategies, while Carja's armor is too weak for Aloy's melee fighting style.

Ravager's cannon: It gives Isaac the ability to fire rapidly like a Ravager can, but with much more precision. It can also do charged-up shots for more heavy damage. This is the most noiseless ranged weapon from Isaac, allowing the charged shot to be used for sniping. Up to two coils can be equipped.

Stalker Blade Tail: The swiftest and lightest melee weapon from Isaac's arsenal. It's the best pick to fight against lightweight machines and stealth attacks. Its thin shape and ability to spin and move up and down (at an angle of about 120 degrees) can also be used for precision attacks (e.g., to take off machine components or stealth-stabbing humans).

Nora's stealth armor: The natural materials of this armor allow Isaac to camouflage better within the natural landscape. The lack of metal pieces also helps reduce noise while moving. This armor is resistant to shock and ice damage but weak against fire and corrosion damage. Up to three weaves can be equipped.

Thunderjaw’s Disk Launcher: Isaac can use the disks like a Thunderjaw can or launch them at a high speed. It’s not an easy weapon to use, as its recoil can destabilize Isaac if he’s in movement, and it has a very slow recharge, but it’s the heaviest damage dealer from the arsenal. Its firepower can make big explosions and great area damage. Up to two coils can be equipped.

Thunderjaw’s Tail: It is the second heaviest and slowest melee weapon Isaac has, but when used correctly, it can cause great damage to his targets, destroy some types of human constructions, stun machines, and even kill humans on the spot. Its shovel-like shape also allows Isaac to throw objects away (with very poor precision) or even yeet Aloy and Beta to help them reach places or to aid in some fight strategy.

Oseram's tank armor: Made of the best Oseram hard leather and steel, this armor greatly protects Isaac, making him much more resistant to various damage kinds. However, the materials weigh him and consequently slow him down, thus making him sink underwater, and he needs to use more energy for his leaps and high jumps. This armor is highly resistant to corrosion and fire damage but has some weak spots for ice and shock damage. Up to three weaves can be equipped.

Bellowback’ Snout: This weapon is an adapted version of the Bellowback’s ranged elemental weapon for Isaac. It gives him the ability to shoot fire or acid projectiles. It can also be used as a close-range defense weapon; hence, it can be used as a flamethrower or acid jet-like gun as well. Up to two coils can be equipped.

Stormbird’s Tail: Isaac can use this weapon like a Stormbird: an electric whip-like melee weapon, still keeping the shocking damage but in a much smaller range and potency. However, if not used cautiously, the whip can get stuck in places or be grabbed by bigger machines. This tail is also useful for Isaac to balance himself while climbing or walking in places such as metal columns in ruins. Isaac must have this tail equipped to be able to swim underwater correctly.

Carja’s speed armor: The sisters arranged the traditional Carja clothing adornments in a way that makes Isaac more aerodynamic, and the lightness of the materials also helps Isaac run faster, leap further, and jump higher than he normally could. Although pretty, the materials of this armor aren’t made for battle, leaving Isaac vulnerable to all kinds of damage - especially physical damage. Up to three weaves can be equipped.

Scorcher’s Mine Launcher: Aside from the normal mines a scorcher can use, this version of its weapon also has the option to use stick mines. Either version of ammos can be used on battle strategies of timed controlled explosions, as the mines won’t explode until they get hit. These mines have two versions: fire and electric explosions. Up to two coils can be equipped.

Frostclaw’s Front Paw: The closest Isaac will get to “grabby hands” so far. It’s the biggest physical damage dealer but the slowest melee weapon due to its heavy weight. Isaac can not just inflict heavy damage but also use the big hand to grab huge objects and machines way bigger than him. This weapon is so heavy that it may destabilize him during curves at high speed, compromise his balance while climbing, and increase the needed energy to sprint, jump, and leap.

Banuk Power Armor: The Sobecks learned with the Banuk crafting how to improve the energy flow and distribution on a machine. This armor increases Isaac's total stamina energy and reduces the needed charge to sprint, jump, or leap. The improved energy flow also helps increase the damage from Isaac’s melee and ranged weapons. However, the increase in the energy flow makes Isaac heat up way faster if not used correctly. Up to three weaves can be equipped.

I just wanted to draw Ed with Aloy's hair, and now we have an Our Flag Means Death x Horizon Zero Dawn crossover on our hands.

Sad AU below:

One of the occuring holograms Ed keeps finding in the world is Stede, a scientist of the past who (maybe?) worked on the history and knowledge archive Apollo. Stede talks about his work, passions and dreams, his challenges and fears about the inevitable Zero Day.

During his journey Ed finds more bits and pieces and little by little he falls in love with this driven, charming, fascinating person, a voice from the past. Who was dead for a thousand years now. 💔

Until he finds the final log saying that Stede and others are ready to go to cryosleep in one of the bunkers deep under the mountain, hoping that the power cells will keep them alive for however long.

And when Ed finally reaches that bunker - the whole facility is shutting down, power supply is almost at zero with just one pod still functioning. GUESS WHO'S IN THAT POD ❤️

Horizon AU: Twin Flames - "Nicknames" short comic (read left to right)

Quick context: It's Isaac's maintenance day.

Now you know why Aloy and Beta call each other "moonbeam" and "sunshine," respectively! XD

Aloy is being unintentionally called out LOL For context: in this AU, she's that kind of person who (purposedly) changes behavior depending on who she's interacting with.

I guess I like how this "comic style" is going. Now I'm debating if I do a scene from the story or a new short side story... hmm... (the FW act teaser comic is being done in the background btw)

Btw this is the first time I've ever drawn Erend, so I apologize for any big mistakes lol, but I'm open to constructive criticism.
