Hanahaki Disease in FOP (Prompt/Fic idea)

You’d think Timmy’d be in quite a bit of trouble, but the only trouble he has is dealing with unrequited familial love for his parents. Ever since he received his godparents, he got that type of love from them instead, no longer needing his parents to get the unique love that comes from parents. 

With that concern of his no longer so pressing, he now has to address the elephant in the room, the person he has to learn to love because if he doesn’t, she’ll die. She’d been quietly managing the disease by engaging in hatred of her sister. It acts as a retardant for the disease, slowing its inevitable takeover of her body, but it’s still not enough. She can’t live on bandaids forever. She needs the cure. 

And Timmy has to find a way to genuinely fall for someone he has no interest in. Vicky forces him to without explanation and the breaks down when it doesn’t work. She tried so hard to get rid of her sister’s disease by any means necessary but it doesn’t work anymore. And of course since I’m a sap, it all ends fine with Timmy finding something to genuinely love about Tootie. 

She’s afraid the first time he says he loves her because it’s not the words that make it true, but the effect on her condition. She sighs in relief, knowing she doesn’t have to worry about dying anymore. She had a whole character arc up to that point from being so in love that she didn’t care if it killed her, to mostly worrying about her safety, to wishing there was a way of removing the disease by getting rid of her love instead of forcing Timmy to reciprocate. 

But in the end, she’s incredibly grateful, even apologetic, for making him fall in love even though he had every right to say no. 

There’s either a subplot or sequel around Trixie and her worrying about Chad because of his unrequited crush on her. And her suffering symptoms because of a mysterious source that turns out to be unrequited friendship with Chad. They figure something out with Trixie being a wingman to Chad, making his crush fade and also salvaging their friendship and both their lives.

Man that DLC's final boss has got me feeling kinda fucked. I'm kinda depressed about it now that I'm done. Everything else is, was, so good. But I do not like that plot development. I honestly think it is bad. Why did they choose not to foreshadow this in literally any way? Why did Miquella attempt to resurrect Godwyn at all in the first place, then? Practice? Was this really what was originally planned? There's no actual evidence to the contrary so you gotta assume it must've been.

tbh i think the coldest and most shocking thing that can happen in an argument with this man is if you call him "john" and he corrects you to "constantine". biggest red flag you can find on the play. sounds pretentious when you're not experiencing it. means he's absolutely fucking furious with you.

Did they tho? I'm gonna have to guess here which Asian mum white dad your talking about here bc there is 4 main ones in the show that being sportsmaster and Paula; jade and will; lady shiva and David cain tho he's not actually in the show; Talia and Bruce

Let's get the obvious out of the way Paula is portrayed as a way better parent then sportsmaster there shouldn't be any debate in that - Talia in the show is also so far been portrayed as a good mom tho we've not seen a lot of her and damian she says that damian will be protected and will not grow up without his mum - jade leaves lian and Will bc she's worried that her dangerous life may put them both in risk but she is shown to be constantly doubting that choice and wants to go back to them considering jade also leaves lian with Roy in the comics bc jade thinks that will be safer for her theres not really much difference in their level of parenting

That leaves lady shiva and David cain tho as stated cains not in the show so we don't actually know if he's still her dad- in the comics cain raises cass in complete solitude to the point that she's never heard anyone speak so she herself is unable to speak, being raised to be nothing but a weapon when she is 8 years old cain makes cass kill for the first time, she doesn't like that so she escapes her dad and lives the next 8 years on her own, she will later meet her mom lady shiva who knew what cains plain was when she handed cass over to him but was interested to see if he could make a child that would one day be able to kill her and that's what she wanted from cass when they later meet a fight to the death - in the yj cartoon shiva is the one training cass instead but instead of not letting cass hear speech for the first few years of her life lady shiva instead damages her vocal cords so she's unable to speak - she's sent out on her first mission to assassinate joker when she's 15 but babs stops her before she's able to - I can not honestly say I think yj lady shiva is a worse or better parent then David cain is in the comics to me they're pretty even for shitty parent but lady shiva isn't even a parent to cass in the comics they have this really interesting complex relationship but a good parent to cass yeah not really

Dc does have a big issue with how they portray asain mums in their comics but it is very disingenuous to say they are portraied worse in the yj cartoon bc that's just not true

i don’t think leaving the crows entirely is in the cards for magpie and lucanis but i can see a post game future where lucanis gives up the first talon seat, probably after caterina dies and he’s been forced to actually Do His Job as first talon for a couple of months and has a breakdown about it lol. i think after that he and magpie just like, operate more or less independently but are still technically crows. because magpie simply will not leave while viago is there. that isn’t an option. but if lucanis giving up on being first talon is what keeps them both sane and allows them to spend more time with neve she could do that. so probably they just live out their days killing blood mages and cultists across tevinter for insane sums of money and in between help neve solve her cases and still host family dinners with viago and teia occasionally :)
