                at the moment, however, she could practically count the lashes above his striking silver eyes with how close their faces were. back rested against the ground of the training area, with HIS FRAME keeping her pinned down and his hand disarming the blade from her grip. how did they get into this situation again ? aah ... right.

                was it brave or FOOLISH of her to ask him for a sparring session ? perhaps both. she had been observing his fighting technique in battles and missions they were in together, and curiosity got the better of her. while she had told him not to hold back on her account, yinyue didn't think he was going ALL OUT either. he was considerate like that, despite how he would deny every claims she made on his kindness. but that was beside the point.

                he looked at her as though silently asking if she SURRENDERED, and something inside her sparked with that awakened competitiveness. yinyue, however, got slightly distracted by those sterling silver hues up close. she had always known his gaze was sharp and piercing, but seeing them like this was almost mesmerizing.

                such beautiful eyes.

                unconsciously, the ROVER leaned forward, their noses made a slight contact while her lips barely brushed against the back of his ear. her movement allowed her mouth to ghost over the line of his jaw, carefully reaching closer, close enough for her breath to be spilling warmly just behind his ear. one could almost feel the way her soft lips caressed the rough, defined jawline and skin.

                " calcharo ... " the way she uttered his name was unlike anything she had done before. it almost didn't sound like her own VOICE for a split second there. the tone carried a hint of longing, a deeper pitch that was a cross between a whisper and a growling purr, thick with yearn and unspeakable sensation which would send shivers right down his spine. like a brush of a butterfly's wing ... so, so close —

it is undeniable, how soft sylus becomes, just being in your presence.

yes, forget all the onychinus leader stuff, he is whipped. you have him in your grasp, he is a little puppet in your hands and he is okay with it.

you are the only one that can go through him, the only one that can bicker and argue with him without losing her life. and you can't miss the glimmer in his eye - that you mistake to be from his aether core - when he looks at you. you don't understand him, he puzzels you so much.

but he is aware of his growing feelings for you. perhaps, his interest sparked only because he needed to resonate with you, but later on you'd become someone he didn't mind the presence of, heck if you weren't around he felt empty, like something important was amiss, you.

this doesn't go past luke and kieran's attentive gazes, as they see their boss become more ruthless than ever when you're absent. so they text you and try to coax you into coming back to the N109 zone, hoping that perhaps you'll come to reciprocate their boss's affection.

you, on the other hand, keep thinking that sylus repulses you in every way, especially since his first appearance before you, even though he saved your life.

each time you look at him, you convince yourself he doesn't deserve your attention. but oh, you're just lying to yourself.

you aren't indifferent to him at all, and it shows in the little reactions you give him each time he holds your hand (your wrist more often), entangling your fingers with his, or with how your hips are clasped in his hold while you try to squirm under his hungry gaze.

it's for the mission, you tell yourself. but you are already mid-fall into the trap you swore you would never get into.

before long, sylus' affection for you only grows, as he sees in you not just any woman, but a strong one who gets everything she needs done. he admires you, his left corner rising slightly each time he looks at you. he thinks you are interesting, different from any woman he ever met.

you on the other hand have already abandoned your first resolution of never wanting to become close to him. now, it seems just a far mirage, as you look at sylus and think how perfect for you he is, hating yourself for holding such thoughts but unable to stop them.

“are you falling for me yet, kitten?” he whispers on a dark night while you're getting lost in his trapping eyes.

you gulp hard, trying to push him away, but your hands fail to budge his toned chest, as he grasps your wrists in his and gets even closer.

you feel warmth spreading on your face and you try to turn your head away, to no avail, because his hand is now tracing the corner of your cheek, in a soft graze, stopping your every movement.

“but don't fall too deep, mhm?” and his breath tickles your neck to the point of sending shivers down your spine.

you think your heart might spring out of your chest with how fast it's thumping, you hope he can't hear it.

“who's falling for you,” you mutter and push him away, getting past him and running out of the room, unaware of his lingering gaze and teasing smile, as you think how you risked giving out to him.

I love the Vengeance saga sm….

so here are my thoughts

NOT SORRY FOR LOVING YOU:

This was SO pretty. Wangui has such a beautiful voice and she added so much depth to the character. But i still HATE Calypso. They could never make me like you Calypso. I liked How Jorge really made her seem like she just never learned how it was wrong to expect love in return regardless of circumstance. Especially the part “Was cast away when I was young

Alone for a hundred years

I had no friends but the sky and sun

So when you washed ashore

I thought for sure that you were my dream come true”

It really did a good job at showing she never learned because she never got a chance to learn these things.

DANGEROUS:

HECK YES HERMES!!! He was so so iconic and I loved how we was just partying while Ody was fighting for his life. My favorite part was defined the Wing Bag. Especially the winions. The melodies just seemed so much darker and serious then the playful tone of Keep Your Friends Close. I also loved the Athena reference at the end. I honestly hope Odysseus doesn’t learn it was her, it would make it so much more tragic.

CHARYBDIS:

This was the song I was looking forward to the most and I was not let down! The musical storytelling was so so good! Everything about it that I imagined is practically exactly what was on the animatic. Also extra points to part of it being done by @anniflamma (i’m not even gonna try to lie, Anni is my favorite Epic Animator) I LOVED the final verse. It was so pretty and Jorge portrayed the Longing of Odysseus SO WELL. I also adored the expectation diversion leading into…

GET IN THE WATER:

First off the Intrumentals starting the song were BEAUTIFUL!!! The piano was so striking and i loved it! Steven Rodriguez is genuinely PERFECT for Poseidon. I’m not gonna lie Poseidon is my favorite Greek God(Blame PJO) and Ruthlessness is actually the song that got me into EPIC. So it was amazing to hear him again. My Blood ran cold during the “Ruthlessness… Is Mercy Upon… Ourselves” part and I loved the overlapping vocals of the “Die”. And because it’s a bossfight it just has to end with making me cry. The “spirits” of Odysseus’s comrades was so pretty and I think it was my favorite(besides love in paradise ofc) of the “Heartbreaking remembering comrades” moments.

600 STRIKE!!!

1st of holy shit the Wind bag is such a cool Bossfight instrumental. It was so freaking cool(I love all the Wind parts in EPIC). I was a little disappointed by the Visuals, no disrespect to the artist at all! But i just thought the 3d was a little jarring. I truthfully think it would have been a little better if it was 2d. Enough of visual art talk though MUSICAL art talk time! I LOVED the chanting throughout the first-half. It was such a great(I think) wrap up to the Crews story and it also sounded awesome.

600 STRIKE: PART 2(that part)

Steven Rodriguez’s voice is really hot. I just had to get that out of the way. But in all seriousness this is my favorite moment of the Saga. I don’t think 600 strike was my favorite song, that title goes to Get in the Water, but 600 strike is a close 2nd solely based on the epicness of this moment. The way my heart just stopped when Odysseus said “Exactly” was just something I’ll never get over. Also I’m weird and i loved hearing Poseidon in pain.(I like my fav. characters to suffer). Also the overlapping vocals(can i even call poseidon’s part vocals it’s just him screaming in pain) was PHENOMENAL! I especially loved the 2nd “OOoohhhh” I saw someone say that Poseidon likely regenerated around the trident before it was pulled out and that’s engraved in my brain now.

And hot Take.

I think that Poseidon was actually ASKING Odysseus how he sleeps at night. During Monster Ody says “Is he scared that he’s doing something wrong” and I actually think Ody was right. Poseidon’s “I can’t” during Get In The Water seems genuine. I don’t know if it was because He literally couldn’t forgive Ody because of what Ody did, or if He’s is actually just trying to “keep us in check so we respect him, and now no one dares piss him off”. This may just be me over-analyzing/trying to sympathize my fav character but does Poseidon actually wonder if he’s doing something wrong.

And Finally, NEXT TO MY WIFE was actually so FRAKING cold. If someone said that to me i’d be devastated.

Ultimately the Vengeance saga was probably my 2nd favorite saga(after wisdom i just adore god games) Jorge did an AMAZING job with it and I’m so excited to see how much more a monster rawr rawr rawr Ody becomes.

Okay i have been thinking about this one for a while. @misteria247 have EVEN MORE brain juice. Everyone's all about Bill manipulating Ford,isolating him from his loved ones,et cetera et cetera. But no one ever talks about the fact that Ford was actually manipulating Bill too without realizing it. Why do you think he was worshipping and praising the guy constantly?,because he too wants to keep the triangle at his side just like Bill wants his genius at his side. While yes that may be out of admiration,Ford also knew full well that his muse only did things for him if he gained his favor and so he kept praising him and worshipping him just to make the isosceles give him a break from the portal or to let him spend time with Fiddleford. Ford was *ALSO* using Bill for his goals,as the main reason why he made a deal with him in the first place was for the triangle to help him gain the recognition he believed he deserved. Heck,i think that Ford probably experimented on Bill a few times but the triangle didn't say anything despite the act being painful because he fully trusts his fucked up genius. Bill may be manipulative and terrible,but Ford is too,in a way. He wasn't doing it on purpose,he was probably doing it subconsciously. These two are fucking horrible and perfect for each other at the same time in the best way. I hate them sm.

reo mikage: eating pizza with cutlery

"hey, i'm hungry." reo said as he rolled on the bed, landing next to you. he lay on his tummy and rested his face on his palms, looking up at you as you did work on your laptop beside him on your bed.

"hm, me too." you replied, feeling your stomach grumble a little.

"whaddya wanna eat?" he asked, sitting up cross-legged, resting his chin on your shoulder as an attempt to peek at the work you were doing.

"it's up to you. i'm still busy, so you can choose." you mumbled, pushing up your glasses and continued typing away on your laptop. reo kept quiet until he decided on what he wanted to eat.

"let's eat caviar."

"what the fuck? that's so expensive, reo." you shook your head, your attention now on reo after he suggested that ridiculously expensive food for a normal lunch.

"what? i had it for dinner a few nights ago with my parents." he said, confused. you sighed. he was from a rich family, after all. of course he had fancy meals 3 times a day.

"we can eat caviar." he pouted.

"no."

"yes."

"we should save caviar and any other fancy meal for an important day; like our anniversary, or our birthdays." you suggested. you couldn't imagine eating things like caviar, foie grass and other expensive meats on a daily basis. reo hummed in reply, "alright, fine. caviar is good though."

"let's just eat pizza, is that okay?" you asked and reo nodded excitedly.

"yes! i haven't had pizza in sooooo long!"

you rolled your eyes playfully and chuckled. he had steak and other fancy foods everyday, but something as simple and delicious as pizza was a rarity to him.

you pulled out your phone and ordered some pizza to be delivered to your house and continued with your work. reo stayed with you the entire time, changing his position ever so often; from laying his head on your lap, or wrapping his arms around your waist.

soon, the doorbell rung and reo went to answer it. the pizza had arrived. you asked him to bring the pizza to your room and that you'd eat there. reo took quite awhile though. did he trip and fall on his way or something?

you were completely immersed in your work in your laptop, until you heard the clinking of cutlery and plates.

"reo?" you called, looking up from your laptop.

he emerged from the door, holding the pizza box and 2 plates, along with forks and knives.

"reo, why the heck did you bring the fork and knives? and what's with the plates?" you questioned, puzzled.

"what? it's to eat the pizza with, of course." he replied nonchalantly and settled on your bed.

he placed a slice of pizza on his plate and begun cutting it with his fork and knife. he was eating the pizza like how he'd eat steak. you watched silently, mouth parted as you watched your purple haired boyfriend continue with his meal.

"y/n? come on, eat up! i'll cut up a slice for you!"

you couldn't say anything and reo took the silence as an 'okay, i allow you to cut up my pizza.'

you didn't have the heart to tell him that pizza could just be eaten with your barehands just like that, and that there was no need for plates or cutlery. you'd have to teach him about the way average people do, and how it's different from the way the rich do.

the day had finally come for the long awaited road trip you and your boyfriend, yukimiya, have planned! it was a day trip on the road to a resort somewhere very far from where the two of you lived. it was a 24 hour car ride, but you didn't mind it since you would be with yukki throughout. he's gotten his license a few months ago and he drives really well!

he rarely gets road rage, and he knows when to slow down or speed up. he would drive you to school, or anywhere in general and it was perfect since he'd let you handle the music. you knew this road trip with him would be perfect. nothing sounds better than being in a car with your loved one, music filling your ears, the ac turned on and just being in the lovely presence that yukki radiated.

everything was going fine. you were 2 hours in the trip and had made 2 stops at previous gas stations to get food and water, as well as use the bathroom and get a stretch break from being seated in the car.

soon, you looked up ahead and noticed a bridge. with water underneath it. it was like a reservoir and there were many other cars driving across the big bridge. you could see tall buildings in the distance across the bridge and it excited you that you would be driving past a nearby city!

the stereo was playing your shared playlist with yukki and he was humming along to the song while you told him some funny stories.

upon reaching the bridge, however, you almost. almost. met your death.

okay, that may be an exaggeration. but it truly felt like you almost saw the light.

yukki, who was driving at a speed of 50km/h, suddenly increased it to 102km/h, as he sped across the bridge.

"it was so funny, i almost died of laughter- h-hey! yukki?!" you jolted as he suddenly sped up halfway through one of your stories.

"hold on!" he replied, pushing his glasses up and running a hand through his hair.

"y-yukki!? what's gotten into you! oh my god, be careful! you almost hit that truck!" you screamed a bit as he accelerated even more and more. you didn't even dare to look over to his side to see what his speed was.

it already felt like he was going at 1000km/h, even though that was not possible, but it really felt that way. you could hear the zooming of your car tires on the road, all the other cars passing by you swiftly. if the car windows were open, you're sure your hair would be flying everywhere.

he was changing lanes quickly, going left, right, then left again, then staying in the middle, then going left and right and so on. he was dodging all the cars in his way, speeding up even faster as he did so.

"yukki! oh my god, slow down! you're gonna get us killed!" you wailed, clutching the pillow on your lap and holding it tight. yukki showed no signs of slowing down. his face remained calm and focused as he continued his pursuit.

he might as well become a race car driver if he wants to drive at this ridiculous speed, you thought.

as soon as the car got off the long bridge, yukki slowed down to the normal 50km/h speed once more.

"you idiot! what was that all about? fantasizing being a race car driver, yukki?!" you scolded, catching your breath and wiping the beads of sweat that had formed on your forehead. it was so intense, the ac was turned on yet you were sweating and panting from that drive.

"race car driver? i was just driving normally, silly." he chuckled, pulling over at the nearest gas station and parked the car. you had never, ever, seen yukki drive at anything more than 80km/h.

"you've never drove that fast before..." you whined, meeting his eyes.

"yeah? that's 'cause we've never had to drive over a bridge back at home." he chuckled light-heartedly and pushed his glasses up.

you looked at him, confusion written all over your face, "what's that supposed to mean? why do we need to speed up over a bridge?"

"in case it collapses." he answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world.

you sucked in air through gritted teeth and frowned, "you stupid four eyes."

he tilted his head as you got out of the car, walking to the bathroom, leaving a confused yukki.

"what? y/n! are you not anxious that the bridge might fall!?" he called out from behind you, locking the car and chasing after you.

shouei barou: using songs as timers

"hm? not going to the gym today?" you asked as you saw your boyfriend still at home. it was 11am and normally by now, barou would be at the gym until 1pm.

he shook his head, "nah, decided to stay home and work out instead. i'm gonna start now, actually."

you shrugged and gave him a thumbs up. you left him to do his workout in peace so you went to the kitchen to make something to eat. however, you started hearing familiar lyrics and a tune...

they sounded like... shake it off? by taylor swift?

you thought you were going crazy and was just hallucinating her voice in your head until you realised the song was actually playing. leaving the kitchen, you followed the muffled tune of the song which led you to the living room where barou would be working out.

and there, you saw the music video playing on the tv, along with barou lifting weights and doing squats as taylor continued singing in the back.

"sho? i didn't know you listened to taylor swift..." you choked down a laugh at the thought of barou singing to taylor's songs.

"what? i don't!" he replied mid-squat. "just usin' her songs as a timer. once she reaches the second verse i'll switch to another workout." he explained, red forming on his cheeks and ears.

"heh, whatever you say. nothing wrong with enjoying taylor, though." you giggled, whispering that last part but just loud enough for him to ear. he clicked his tongue.

"tch, whatever. she's okay."

you waved your hand, dismissing the topic and retreating back to the kitchen. as you cooked a meal, you heard different songs from taylor swift playing. maybe he really is a fan.

Okay now I know how this sounds, I've read a lot of fics and I hate HATE how they have grammar errors. Like I'm not talking about using 'there' instead of 'their' or 'was' instead of 'were' or something, I'm talking about misspelling the members' names, using censors like '$' or '0' for seemingly casual works, using exclamation marks when it's not even needed. Like I get it if you misspelled a word, it happens, forgotten to add a comma, or something, but repeatedly writing 'Heesung' instead of 'Heeseung' like NO. That's a red flag for me 🙋‍♀️. And the best part? YOUR FIC HAD NONE OF THOSE 🤸‍♀️🤸‍♀️ NOT A SINGLE COMMA MISSING, NOT ONE SPELLING ERROR. I'm not a native English speaker, heck I've never even been around someone who's one, but I know good writing when I see it. 😐. You should consider seeing that as a profession, because you write better than some authors who've published actual hard cover books (colleen hoover i'm looking at you). Like it doesn't seem like fanfiction anymore when you write it (it's a good thing) , and that's on reading one fic. ahhhhh I’m so glad you liked exception!!! It’s one of my favorite fics that I’ve ever worked on.I feel like I typically make my mcs non sorcerers. Just regular people living regular lives. I’m not a big fan of sorcerer MCs. With very few exceptions, most of my MCs are damsels in distress. soooo for that fic the mc gets pretty much threatened into being Suguru-chans precious house pet!!! I feel like since the mc meet Suguru pre-him losing his mind….the mc feels a bit of sympathy that turned into slight stolkholm syndrome. Not exactly romantic love, but more like pity-fear that keeps the mc in line. Eventually the mc would accept that you’re nothing more than a cult leaders pretty trophy wife and he’s pretty well off so it’s not all that bad…

at least nanako and himiko are happy. Despite your fear of Suguru… the girls make things a tiny bit more bearable. Also you won’t be expected to turn into Suguru’s breed-mare or anything mostly cuz he’s already a happy dad of two and also….a part of him is somewhat worried that any kids he has with you might turn out to be non-sorcerers. Since Heather always has her hair up in a ponytail in the main series, I thought a nice way to show her trust is with her hair! In general her hair has always been something special to her, that's why she fought for a wig in season 2. Since an AMAZING amount of value is placed on her hair, her showing her trust to Alejandro through her hair would be a nice way to visually show she trusts him! Alejandro basically the only genuine bond she's shown to make in the series, canon and in the fic, so I think the swap hcs make it just all the more sweet (/▽＼) !! In a way, since to Swap-ejandro Heather is just a celebrity crush, this sort of interaction deepens their relationship and his feelings beyond just a celeb crush (❁´◡`❁)

NOW FOR THE LAST HC!

This one isn't an Aleheather hc, but moreso a hc focused on Swap-ejandro's appearance! I think that as a trade off, he's not as physically built as canon Alejandro but instead taller compared to him (which is scary considering canonically Alejandro is 6 ft..) Since he's in the place of Sierra in this AU, he probably has enough strength to fight off baboons, he probably just has a hidden build! In general, Sierra and Alejandro in this AU had their skills and personalities swapped, so as a result their backstories technically were too with some small tweaks! I think this AU has been fun to make a bunch of hcs in, congrats if u got to the end of me convulsively info dumping about my hcs on the awesome au (lll￢ω￢) !

✧ what's funniest, he doesn't even realize it sometimes! It's just someone nudging him and being like "your lover's spacing out" or so

✧ like in a Weekend Garage for example! She definitely had customers or maybe even usuals that spaced out every now and then

✧ so when her partner's spacing out, she somehow finds it so cute!!

✧ the way your eyes are staring in the nothing, the way that you're so focused... SHE LOVES IT!

✧ definitely tried sneakily taking photo of you just to wake you up from your little dreamland

✧ Tsukasa may be suspected of also spacing out... but it's actually just imagination! He's sometimes I'm his world yes, but it's only when he's rambling and who knows? Maybe it's his voice that's do loud even he can't hear others?

✧ either way, he can't tell when you're spacing out and when you're just focusing... but he still wants to help so he usually takes the 50/50 chance!

✧ there are times when he waves his hand in front of your face and guesses correctly

✧ but other time, he does exact same thing when you're just focusing on what he's saying and... it can be a bit annoying...

✧ but he'll apologize if he makes any mistake! And if he guessed, he's gonna repeat whole thought from beginning since he doesn't know where you spaced out and somehow moves back to rambling instead of asking where to start from...

✧ he may get curious about your constant spacing out and ask what you're thinking of, but it's usually very polite, not wanting to accidentally ask you something you're uncomfortable with

✧ he's also always very gentle when waking you up, if talking to you and waving his hand in front of your face won't work... he'll gently place his hand on your shoulder and it's only exception to gently shake you

✧ boy's so worries he might scare or hurt you by accident, he just plays it off safe

✧ it's also pretty hilarious for 3rd party to watch how loud voice suddenly goes quiet just to wake up person that seemingly is sleeping with eyes open when they can't even focus due to how loud his voice is...

✧ if you apologize after, he'll only find it more amusing, he's gonna comfort you he doesn't mind while in fact he enjoys extra reason to tease you

✧ he doesn't mind repeating himself tho, he usually asks when did you zoned out but he usually guesses in his head the moment correctly either way!

✧ he also likes to ask what were you thinking so much about, but it's your choice if you tell him or not, and he'll respect that decision

✧ if he sees you're not comfortable with him asking that, he'll remember it for the future and quickly change topic back to your original chat

✧ but if you don't mind telling him~ prepare him to go "thinking about [topic] again?" and scaring you as he wakes you up, all that followed by his laugh
