My rant about Danny Phantom and DPxDC tropes
This is just going to be a listing and rant about some of the Danny Phantom and DPxDC story and prompt trends I tend to see around Tumblr. I want to make it clear that I don’t care if you like the things I don’t like or dislike the things I do. Everyone is entitled to their own tastes so long as they don’t harm others and that includes headcannons and fanfics. So don’t be a dick.
______________
______________
Danny is the Ghost King: I admit I really like this one, but I also admit it doesn’t make a ton of sense.
I like OP Danny, I think it’s fun and it fits how several of his enemies can easily be called gods or have global-level powers— Vortex with his storms and Ember with her mind control/power siphoning being key examples— and having him basically be the leader of an entire infinite dimension filled with several godlike beings makes him come off as super badass.
On the other hand, this headcanon typically leans into Danny getting the job via Right Of Conquest against Pariah Dark. The thing is, Pariah wasn’t a recognized ruler. He was a tyrant and conqueror that few if any actually wanted to follow. He didn’t have ‘divine right’ or the willing submission of his subjects. He was the Ghost King because he had the power and desire to force his will against the rest of the Realms. Hell, he was so hated that a cabal of super-powerful/ancient spirits deposed him and locked him away for hundreds/thousands/millions of years and NO ONE other than Vlad tried to free him! So Danny beating him shouldn’t suddenly make him a legitimate ruler.
That all said if you go with the less used reasoning that the Ghost Zone NEEDS to have a single ruler for whatever reason and Danny beating the previous singular ruler/being one of the few ghosts/spirits who have the power and fame required for the position I have no problem with the idea.
Danny is Dani’s dad: Another thing I like, but also another thing that gets messy when you think about it.
Cloning as I understand it basically gives you a genetic twin, not a genetic child. So even with Dani’s genes being modified somehow she’d read more like Danny’s sister than his daughter. So unless you want to throw in that Vlad used some third party’s genes to help stabilize her, Dani is not genetically Danny’s kid.
Ignoring genetics and sticking to emotions and such, emotionally and mentally Danny is a teenager and Dani is somewhere between 8 and 12, way too close of an age difference for Danny to really take on a paternal role for Dani. And even if you say that Dani is mentally younger due to her being force grown it would still leave Danny as a very young teenage parent of a preteen and Dani in a very weird state as her physical and mental development would be at gross odds with how she can filter information.
If you deage Dani to a toddler however and have Danny be AT LEAST 16, things could make more sense as far as them seeing each other as parent and child go.
Danny gives off Uncanny Valley vibes: This has no basis in canon, be it for full ghosts or Halfas or anything else. That said, I love this idea and have no further notes.
Danny is an engineering genius: This is one that comes up pretty sporadically, and I guess it MIGHT have some basis in canon if you stretch some things, but it’s not something that was ever explicitly stated or even heavily implied. I still like it though and think it’s really fun when used for things other than just saying Danny is smart.
Tucker is a master hacker: I get where this is coming from and I understand the vibes, plus it has more of a basis than Danny being an engineering genius, but this also doesn’t really have any real basis in canon. The only ‘hacking’ that he really does is against Skulker and that involves the ghost first assimilating Tucker’s PDA, giving him a back door into Skulker’s systems to do one specific thing. So while fun in some cases, I don’t like it when it gets blown out of proportion and having Tucker being on par with the likes of Tim Drake, Barbara Gordon, or Cyborg as a computer genius. He is smart and he is a programmer, but he’s not a super genius.
Everyone is Liminal: I don’t know who popularized this idea, but I don’t like it. The idea that just being around ectoplasm makes someone liminal sounds like something that the Fenton parents would have been at least vaguely aware of if they were already smart enough to wear hazmat suits for protection when working with ectoplasm, so if they knew it would make people basically proto ghosts/ensure they would become ghosts, they sure as hell wouldn’t have set up shop in a city.
Not only that but we already know that the GIW is willing to use heavy artillery and lethal force on people they think MIGHT be under the influence of a ghost or could be ghostly themselves. So if a whole town was showing up as being so ‘ecto-contaminated’ that they are not even registering as fully human anymore you KNOW they’d start coming in to commit genocide.
The GIW isn’t a legal government body/their actions have violated their purview: Admittedly this one isn’t very common, but I HAVE seen it used a few times, so I’m going to talk about it.
First, I really like this because it avoids the trap of just saying ‘Oh the government is inherently evil and wants nothing more than to commit war crimes and genocide’, so big points there. Beyond that though I also just think it makes sense. I mean the US Government has a LOT of departments and I can see them having a small agency dedicated to keeping track of ‘supposedly’ paranormal shit for one reason or another, but I can’t see them getting a lot of funding— like the amount of discretionary funds needed to buy out all of Fentonworks— without them having to bring up the evidence before Congress and the Senate. From there there would definitely be ethical concerns regarding their actions, legislation would be introduced en-mass, and it would cause a national if not international uproar.
So for the GIW to work they’d either need to be a whole sale corrupt and rouge agency taking money from third parties— like Vlad— and going way beyond whatever authority they might have been legitimately granted to do most of the shit they end up doing, or they were never a government body to begin with but a special interest group funded and staffed by fanatics from around the world and are committing several additional crimes in addition to war crimes by impersinating a government agency.
The Anti-Ecto Acts: I honestly can’t remember if these are canon in some form or not, but I see them brought up a lot so I’m talking about them either way.
These make NO SENSE.
Getting something like this through Congress and the Senate would be INSANELY difficult even if you had evidence of an immediate threat. You can say ‘they hid it in another bill’ all you like but that kind of thing is way harder than you think. Even minor bills about laws and regulations that are just being put through for renewal get read over to make sure things aren’t slipped into them. And bigger, more complex laws take months if not YEARS to get passed and end up getting combed over with a fine comb. There would be no way these Acts could be passed without it being a major event that would be dragged out and debated for ages seeing as it’s literally about declaring a complex species non-sentient and opening them for no-holds-barred scientific experimentation and termination. Religious concerns would be brought up, ethical bodies would be formed and disbanded every day, calls would be made for third-party research, and more than a few people would demand that diplomacy be tried.
And if you tie this into DPxDC it makes even LESS sense as it would be against several laws, acts, and clauses that are meant to protect metahumans– please note that metahuman does not just mean having the metagene in DC, it means having extra-human abilities and powers including magic or alien blood.
Sam and Tucker have powers: I mean, there were entire episodes dedicated to Tucker being jealous about Danny having power and Sam pushing Danny to use his powers for social and/or political causes, but I can get behind the idea of the trio all having powers. So long as Sam and Tucker’s powers aren’t based around ghosts at least.
A big point of Danny Phantom’s story is that ghosts were super rare and believed to not exist before the start of the show and that Danny and Vlad’s powers are unheard-of anomalies caused by the Doctors Fentons’ experiments and creations so having other people get ghost powers in more ‘natural’ ways really undermines that and isn’t supported by canon at all. Yes Tucker was being used to resurrect a Pharaoh or something and Sam was the favored puppet of Undergrowth, but that doesn’t mean they would KEEP their powers after the ghosts giving them to them were removed from play. We see this in the episode where a bunch of Casper students get infected by ghost bugs, they got powers while infected and they lost them when the ghosts were removed. Beyond that we also have the time Jazz was almost sacrificed by Johnny to get Kitty back into the living world, she never got any powers from that despite being infused with Kitty’s power and essence and when said essence was removed she returned to a fully mortal human teenager with no powers.
Make Sam a witch or give Tucker nanite implants or something and I have no problem with this idea.
Danny becomes the Ancient of Space: I’ve already said that I like OP Danny, but I don’t think this title makes sense.
Yes I like giving Danny space powers and/or an eldritch space form, but I don’t like calling Danny the Ancient of Space because we don’t know how a ghost gets that title. Giving him this title seems to stem heavily from Space being the equal of Time which is Clockwork’s domain, but the thing is Clockwork isn’t called the Ancient of Time, he’s called the Master of Time. So I just generally feel like calling Danny the Master of Space fits better even if Ancient of Space sounds cooler.
Now onto more DPxDC exclusive stuff–
Jason is a Halfa/a developing Halfa: This is another one of those things where I just think goes too hard against the lore of Danny Phantom to make sense. Just dying and coming back to life does not make someone a Halfa, even if they don’t come back as fully alive. Not only that but it takes a LOT of ectoplasm and power to make a Halfa with Vlad and Danny being blasted with an opening portal and Dani being specifically grown from the DNA and ectoplasm of an existing Halfa. It just feels like its cheapening the existence of Hafas if they could have been created at any point in history using natural resources or general necromancy magic.
The Lazarus Pits are just rancid Ectoplasm: This just doesn’t work in my mind. Yes they are both green and are connected to death, but they don’t function or act anything like each other. Ectoplasm has shown no indication that it can be used to heal wounds or that it can be used to resurrect the dead outside of the creation of Hafas. The Lazarus pits have showcased no ability to be used as an energy source or for the waters to be in any state other than liquid, though it is a highly flammable substance in some interpretations while Ectoplasm can apparently be volatile enough to explode if not properly treated and filtered.
This idea also just cheapens both the Pits and Ectoplasm in different ways, with the Pits making it so Ectoplasm isn’t nearly as rare or tied to ghostly phenomena in the mortal world as we were lead to believe and Ectoplasm being readily available post-Fenton Portal activation making the constant search and hoarding of the Pits kind of useless. That and the Fentons apparently have Ectoplasm filters that I’m guessing could at least partially purify the Pits.
Backtracking a bit to the Jason is a Hafa/developing Halfa thing, a common way for that to be implemented is by saying the Pits are rancid Ectoplasm and he’s got a stunted Core. Well if that was the case than Ra’s Al Ghul would be just as far along as a Halfa as Jason if not being a fully fledged one himself at this point because while he might not have stayed dead as long as Jason in a single stretch– depending on how you look at the timeline of Jason’s revival– he did definitely spend more communicative time being dead over the centuries he’s been alive.
And finally, we know what rancid/corrupted Ectoplasm does to a person. It gives them Ecto-Acne. Which at best puts you in the hospital for years before giving you superpowers and usually would just slowly and painfully kill you.
Danny goes to Gotham: This one really just depends on WHY he goes to Gotham. Like, there’s nothing wrong with having a character go to a new city as the basis for a crossover, but I feel like it should make sense at least you know? And to be fair, most of the posts I’ve seen that talk about Danny going to Gotham do in fact make sense. So yeah, solid trope.
Danny and Damien are Twins: I have no problem with this in a vacuum, but I think people take it too far and ignore things like basic logic. Namely, the fact that for them to be secret twins then you have to acknowledge their looks. If they are fraternal twins then there is no real issue here, but if they are supposed to look super alike or even be capable of being mistaken for each other then there is the minor issue of their ethnicities.
No one ever suspects that Danny isn’t Jack Fenton’s son, and since both Jack and Maddie Fenton are caucasian, that means that Danny looks fully caucasian. Meanwhile, Damien is at very least one-quarter Arabic through his mother– I can’t recall if Talia is one hundred percent Arabic or not but I know Ra’s is– and is often depicted as having at least a dusky skin tone. So if you want them to be identical twins you’d have to say that both Damien and Danny appear to be completely white ethnically.
Maddie Fenton is a former member of the League of Assassins: Two issues with this: One, the League isn’t exactly big on letting people walk away from it, and Maddie isn’t exactly trying to hide from them. And two, we have seen Maddie’s canonical biological sister so unless both of them got away– which is even less likely than one person being allowed to leave– and only Alicia is smart enough to stay low-key, this one doesn’t make much sense.
Danny is dating Jason Todd: I get it, Jason is the second hottest Batfam member and he has some surface level similarities with their temporary white streaks and dead guy themes. But outside of that this one just doesn’t make sense. At least not to me.
For hobbies/civilian life, Jason is semi-canonically and very heavily fan-canonly a literature nerd. Danny hates his English class. Danny is often depicted as liking rock music and video games in his downtime, Jason… I don’t know his music taste is, but he is a neat and tidy book nerd.
For vigilante/hero life, Jason is extremely violent and open to using lethal options to the point where he has attempted to kill at least one of his brothers in nearly every timeline and is a mass murderer/serial killer with a higher body count than some of Batman’s rogues. Danny won’t even keep his worst enemies like Skulker trapped in the Fenton Thermos long-term and never even tries to injure potentially dangerous humans like the Guys In White.
These two personalities aren’t a case of being mix and matched, they are very strongly opposed to each other on a philosophical level and a moral level.
Danny is dating Tim Drake: Again, I get where this comes from, and to be fair it makes a bit more sense than Danny X Jason in so far as Tim not being a violent bipolar and him actually seeming to share some hobbies with Danny, but it still doesn’t work in my mind. That stuff that Vlad did to cause Danny to call him a fruitloop? Tim has done almost all of it. He’s a stalker, he clones people when he can’t have the real version, he has used his resources to fuck with people– though Tim’s actions in that sense aren’t nearly as bad as Vlad’s–, he has gone batshit crazy in grief before… need I go on?
So yeah, as much as I like the idea of neurotic sleep-deprived heroes falling into each other’s arms, this doesn’t work. Tim is too fucked up for Danny to want to get involved with. It would be too much like Maddie deciding to give Vlad a shot.
Danny is dating Cassandra Cain: Not as popular as Danny X Jason or Danny X Tim, but I’ve seen a couple of these.
This has some of the same problems as Danny X Jason in that they don’t seem to have any real hobbies in common, but it has the advantage in that their temperaments and personalities are at least somewhat more in line with each other. They both really like and really don’t like fighting, they both have issues with their parents who want them to follow in their footsteps while also being open to killing them, they latch onto friend groups as family, are both anti-killing despite being super lethal living weapons, they tend to be pretty chill out of combat situations to the point where they can even be blase about pretty crazy shit, et cetera. But they don’t have many if any overlapping interests… then again, most people tend to say that Cass and Stephanie are pretty close friends, and I think that is canon in some timelines, and as I will be talking about soon Danny and Steph have a fair bit in common so… yeah.
This one has some really good fanfics running for it though, such as ‘lex luthor's ascent from supervillainy to fatherhood’ by Halfgone over on AO3. A fic that I highly recommend.
Danny is dating Stephanie Brown: Even rarer than Danny X Cass as far as I have been able to see, but it’s also the one that makes the most sense in my eyes. The same snarky attitude, love of puns and messing with the people they are fight, they both have issues with their parents, they fight for things that their fathers’ are completely opposed to, and depending on the DC timeline and your stance on Danny being Dani’s father both are teenaged parents.
They also don’t, as far as I can tell, have anything that makes them opposed to each other. So while this one doesn’t have a ton of civilian weight behind it, it also doesn’t have anything against it. A solid choice despite not being very popular.
I still prefer Danny X Cass or Danny X Raven though.
Danny is gay/bi: I have no problem with this. Let me say that again, I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS. I think that as a fictional character being used in fanfiction things like sexuality can be altered in whatever way the writer desires– it’s different when it’s a canon continuation of an existing work, but fanfiction is anything goes– but dear gods people PLEASE pick better dating options for Danny. I know that people think Jason Todd and Tim Drake are hot and fun characters, and they are, but as I already ranted about they are NOT good dating options for Danny.
Personally, I think Cyborg works better, or some incarnations of Conner Kent.
Danny has been to Krypton: For most timelines used this requires some time travel along with the intergalactic travel, but I find this one to be very fun. Be it just Danny having visited Krypton and having some stories about the place, maybe some souvenirs, or Danny accidentally/on purpose being revered as a god of the planet. It’s a fun addition or starting point to a story.
Kryptonite is Ecto-Candy: This makes no sense and I don’t like it enough to ignore that. Krypton blew up in the mortal universe within the last fifty years according to most canon timelines and even if the ENTIRE planet became Kryptonite– which it might have to be honest, I’m not sure about that– and 50% of it fell into the Infinite Realms– which makes no sense statistically even with natural portals being a thing– that still isn’t a lot of mass for an INFINITE dimension, plus the timeline would make it a relatively very recent thing to ghosts. And that’s ignoring the fact that Kryptonite is not in any way, shape, or form the same thing as Ectoplasm no matter how you split it outside of that one issue that says Kryptonite is the crystalized screams of horror and pain of everyone who died on Krypton.
Danny is a Martian Manhunter Fanboy: No real notes here. It fits, makes sense, and is often used in a fun way.
Danny hates rich people: This one is funny sure, but it doesn’t make sense. Sam is rich. Danny was rich for a bit. Ghost King Danny is beyond rich. Danny is often written in fanfics to be friends with the likes of Pandora and Dorthea who are both rich. Really he just doesn’t like Vlad because of who he is, it has nothing to do with him being rich.
The Justice League abandoned Amity Park: I don’t like this one. It just doesn’t seem like something the Justice League would do. They have too many heroes that specialize in the paranormal and Batman sure as hell wouldn’t let something like an interdimensional portal remain open without being super on top of it and studying it in case of a worst-case scenario like what happened in Reign Storm.
I’ve seen variants of this where the reasoning is that John Constantine labeled it a no go zone to avoid the possibility of a superhero getting possessed and used as a meat suit to cause mass destruction and chaos, which does make more sense, but if that were the case then the JLD would be aware of the situation and would at the very least check in on some of the bigger events like when Undergrowth attacked, Vortex’s whole deal– particularly when his storm covered the entire world except for Amity park– Pariah Dark’s invasion/abduction, when Fright Knight attacked, and when Clockwork showed up and Dark Danny followed suit.
So really this idea just seems like a way to include shallow drama where Danny hates the Justice League or other heroes in general and feels upset that he, as an untrained teenager, was left to defend his town all by himself… just like Static Shock tends to do.
The Justice League thinks Danny is Immortal and hundreds/thousands of years old: No real notes here either. Danny has time traveled in canon, there are a lot of fanon things involving him doing it even more, and I can definitely see him playing into the bit to avoid being treated like a kid who needs to listen to his elders ala Billy Batson as Shazam.
Clockwork is Chronos: This requires a LOT of hoops being jumped through and a lot of ignoring of the mythology of Chronos himself, but they are both super powerful time deities so… I see where it comes from at least. And it allows for stuff like saying Danny and Wonder Woman are family.

There are a lot more tropes and such that I’ve seen here and on dedicated fanfic sites in the Danny Phantom and DPxDC fandoms, but this is already an incredibly long post so I’m going to end things here. If anyone has anything they want to add or comments they want to give, feel free to leave them! Just don’t be a dick and don’t PM me anonymously with insults and threats. I’ll just report and block you.

Imagine being Hobie's canon event. Everything is perfect and then WHAM . . .
Just like that, you're gone.
(I'm sorry I love hobie aND making myself suffer apparently-)
okay angsty i see i see and don’t worry, i love to suffer too shshsh ㅜㅜ ♡ ⋮ p.s. this was based heavily on gwen from tasm, so if it feels familiar, that’s why!
Tumblr media
+ tw — angst. minor spoilers !! mentions of death. blood.
Tumblr media
hobie would be in the amidst of trying to saving you. he never felt so much fear, anger, despair flooding throughout his tired body. if only he was an inch closer, his webbing was more quicker— you would’ve been alive.
he would remember the way you called out for his name, a desperate cry fading into dead silence. the glint in your eyes now completely lifeless and bleak, his webbing barely clung to your clothing as crimson pooled around the crown of your head.
that’s the first time he ever cried in a long time. quiet sobs muffled under his mask, hidden away from the ecstatic cheers from those he managed to save.
you were his reason he abandoned the mantle of spider-man, but you also became his newfound strength to put back on the mask. he knew you never wanted him to give up, at least that’s what he believed you’d say.
the bracelets you wore during your last moments were wrapped around his wrist. your writing and little doodles still decorated his guitar. all the pictures he could find of you were hung along the walls beside the bed you guys once shared.
then he would keep one stuffed in his pocket. the one you guys took in a beaten up photo booth. the smudged image of your smile and silly expressions comforted him during his hardest moments.
though you were now a memory, he kept you safe in his heart. it’s just how it’ll be for now, that’s what hobie told himself infinite amount of times.
the event of your untimely death played in one of the openings of the holographic web. he stared at it for a moment, thinking of ways that he could’ve prevented it. when your head grazes the cement for a split moment, he can’t help but turn away in shame.
yet, hobie would simply shrug his shoulders when miles sadly gazes at him.
“‘ey.. wha’ of it?”
it’s too late now, but if he could go back to that moment, he would rewrite your tragedy and have you right beside him.

Guys, I really need to rant about Metasusie rn. Like, I don't dislike thoses who ship it, but I have such an absolutly visceral hatred for the ship itself my hands are literally trembling right now. If you dont wanna hear me rambling about how much I hate it, then just pass. Chances are I won't be very polite and organised.
So as time progresses I keep seeing more Metasusie. I feel like now's a great time to remind people why this ship is so controversial in the first place by explaining why I and so many others dislike it. Here I go...
Okay. First off. Why the heck would you ship two characters if the only thing we know ever happened beetween them is one of them at the very least ordering (possibly more) the other to be captured, modified and enslaved against his will, and the others time we see thgem together, he literally can't interact of his own because of that, while she is either about to force him to exterminate his own friend, or she is straight up presenting him like he's a non sentient toy she's about to sell ??? Along with fact that Susie calls MK an it in the second cutscene , and that the only time we ever see them interact in game (albeit possibly not canon) is him running away from her, and her chasing him ?! The fact that some people wiew that as a cool starter to a ramantic relationship is is worrying to me.
I feel like some people ship Metasusie out of spite, if that makes sense. They see a ship that's hated on a lot and they want to play devil's advocate. I understand, really (my own "devil" has black, torn off wings) . But even then you still have to consider what makes the devil hated in the first place. There's a lot of wrong in this ship you just can't ignore.
Most of the fans ship them for natural reasons ; because they look cute together, or because of their common points, and they usually just ignore the implications it has. This is understandable, again, but, if you want to ship those two in a cute way, you have to staight up rip away all the unethical stuff. To do that, you have to undermine Susie's terrible actions (or pretend it never happened), to make her cute, to ignore her character. In other words, you have to woobify her. For Meta Knight, it's no less bad, because he's a victim of mechanisation, like many others, and implying it was'nt that important is just kinda dumb (If that was the case, why would the Haltman company be the game's villains anyways ?) . When I say you can't ship those two in that way, I mean that you have to either mischaracterize them heavily, or retcon what happened beetween them to make it work.
That, or they're sometimes homophobes who want to latch on the first heterosexual ship they see. They make those two stereotypical depiction of both genders. Those, are the absolute worse, for obvious reasons, and albeit they're not the only ones who turn Meta Knight and Susie into people they're not, they always do it in the worst possible way : making MK a strong, masculine knight character who can't feel pain and Susie a cute, feminine and smart scientist who needs to be protected and can do no wrong, so the pink character and the blue character are the most gratingly stereotypic ship to ever exist. I see it often, wether intentional or not. It's so wrong and sexist in both way and is probably the worst iteration of the ship to ever exist. Men can feel pain and have trauma, and women can do fucked up things for fucked reason and be fucked up.
This ship has yet another infortunate message. The Haltmans are obviously a metaphor for colonialists. A colonialist having romantic relationship with a person who was colonised, is basically what this ship is. And if you know the slightest bit about that in history, you've probably understood why I feel so icky about this ship, knowing this is a possible comparison.
There's also those who ship one sided, fucked up Metasusie. This is maybe the one of the two only ways to ship those two without mischaracterisation, and the only one I actally like. Not only because I love angst, but also because it actually acknowledges that the slavery, the kidnapping, the mind control, the colonisation, all of that, is fucked up, and that it should'nt be a relationship. (My own interpretation of this, if it interest you, is that Susie has such horrible trauma with her father that she does'nt know what a healthy relationship is anymore. In the absence of her father, she goes to the only person she has a speck of admiration for, and thinks it's love. In her skewed idea of love, the partner has to follow blindly what she says and constantly be under her control, so when he resists, she just think he needs to be "tamed" more. Meanwhile, MK is traumatised and just wants to escape. Eventually she learns that it's more coping than loving and leaves him alone.)
Altough. Some of those people treat the ship, in its unhealthy form, as a good thing. To them Soos and MK are inhuman people who love by hating. But like, unheatlthy relationships are not a good thing. I only like toxic Metasusie if it's treated as a bad thing.
Finally, some shippers actually give both Susie and Meta Knight character arcs, where she comes to understand she is wrong and he learns how to forgive her/cope with his trauma. Not my cup of tea, but honestly, that's based. Altough I like it (moderatly), I just don't understand why you'd ship that over stuff like Metadedede, where the characters have an at least friendly relation in canon.
That was long, but in the end, if I can't understand fully why it's shipped, I can stand Metasusie if it acknowledge both character's flaws and and Susie's terrible actions. It does'nt happen often however, as most instances I see are sadly just idealised, woobified, mischaracterised versions of them randomly loving eachother without context. I won't (and can't) stop people from shipping them that way, but I'll keep being against it.
Wow, after this, I actually kinda feel better. I ended up being more polite than I thought, too. I guess I needed to get this out of my chest somehow...

Hi ,I love your writing and the way you write Yusei ,Aki and Faithshipping overall ! Would it be okay to ask for some Faithshipping headcanons ?
Also ,wanted to ask if there will be any new fic for Faithshipping in the future :)
Thank you so much! And absolutely, faithshipping hc requests are always welcome! <3
At some point after the DS arc (probably in order to take on repair jobs that pay decently), Yusei got himself a diploma to the equivalent of a high school graduation certificate. Aki helped him lots while he was studying for it, because there are a lot of subjects he never interacted much with when growing up in Satellite.
Aki and Yusei's relationship, once it becomes official, ends up suffering from something like the Tony Hawk effect—it's technically an open secret and many people outside the signer group (like Aki's classmates) know about it. Yet, more often than not, they still catch people off guard with the fact that they are, in fact, a couple. (This is absolutely based off @sojourner-between-worlds' hc that Yusei, post-canon, when he's a guy trying to lead a normal work life, also gets Tony-Hawk-ed a lot.)
Having never really spent much time dating before they met—Yusei because old Satellite wasn't exactly a dating hotspot and Aki because she was too scared to grow close to people and people too scared to grow close to her—Yusei and Aki both don't really know how the "dating" thing works. Sometimes, they'll manage to go on stereotypically romantic dates (and sometimes, Aki enjoys that more than anyone could get her to admit), but much of the time, they just do whatever comes to mind and call it a "date". They don't care what they're doing, they care that they do it together.
On occasion, when the opportunity presents itself, Yusei likes brushing Aki's hair. It's soft, he loves the colour, and she always looks very calm when he does it. It's something they indulge in behind closed doors.
Sometimes, when it's late and they have nothing better to do, they watch the duel channel together. Unbeknownst to their friends, their discussions about people's card plays can get downright philosophical, because at the end of the day, they're both passionate about duelling. (And really freaking good at it.)
Before Yusei, Aki didn't think she would ever be comfortable sharing anything than a double bed with someone else, because she needed her space. As it turns out, it works just fine with him.
Yusei generally isn't one for opening up about his fears or bad experiences in the past much, but when he's sleepy or when things weigh a bit too much on him, Aki's the only one he manages to open up to. They have a mutual understanding between them that whatever they share, it might be met with concern, with care, with sadness, but never with judgement.
Yusei is the first person to make Aki feel any semblance of actual pride about her powers. Divine tried, but ultimately still worshipped them for their destruction, which she hated. But Yusei regards the things she can do when she's not lashing out in anger with something like quiet awe, and it makes her melt, because that, more than anything else, is proof that he doesn't and could never see her as a monster.
Aki is the only one besides Yusei himself who's allowed to drive the Yusei-Go. Even Jack and Crow aren't, unless it's a dire emergency.
Aki never really warms up to the idea of modifying or repairing her runner herself, per se, but she likes watching Yusei do it—and manages to pick up on more mechanical stuff than she thinks along the way.
If somebody is rude to or insults Aki within Yusei's earshot for any reason, he absolutely stands his ground and defends her. If anyone is rude to or insults Yusei within Aki's earshot for any reason, that person had better run.
Also, to answer your final question, there will absolutely be more faithshipping from my side in the future! It features heavily several times in the WIP fic already—it's just that the WIP is sooo long and not even done yet, haha.

Memories Are All We Have
Tumblr media
Pairing: Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel x fem reader
Masterlist
Description: you've lost your memory, but you run into someone you have an undeniable pull to, you just know that you can trust them. Can they help you get your memory back?
Word count: 6.4k
⚠️Warnings⚠️
Au, Canon typical violence, death, mentions of suicide, suicide attempt, memory loss, abandonment, fluff, angst, dialog from some tertiary characters pulled from and/or heavily inspired by quotes from comics and movies.
A/N: the end got a lot heavier than I originally intended, but it just felt right. It is up for interpretation though.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The dark cloudless sky above you shines bright with a billion tiny points of light surrounding a full moon. A beautiful sight cut by the grittiness of the sandy dirt that seeps into the crevasses of your tactical suit, easing you into an overstimulating discomfort that nearly brings you to the brink of a mental breakdown. You lay in the remains of a spacecraft with no recollection of how you came to be amidst the wreckage.
You strain to remember yourself, but nothing appears. You desperately search for something, anything, to tell you the simplest information about yourself but nothing manifests other than a dull ache behind your eyes.
Something bright like a ball of fire appears above you in the sky, growing larger as the seconds pass, you realize it's coming straight towards you. You scramble to your feet and break into a run, looking behind you to see if you're at a safe distance you realize the object has changed course and is still on its way to you. In your haste your foot makes contact with a small boulder and you careen forward flat on your face.
When you turn onto your back you see a figure standing over you. She looks familiar, but the only thing you know is that you can trust her. A feeling deep in your gut says that you know this woman, it's all you have to go on as she stalks forward with a searing anger plastered to her face.
"Please...help me?" You say unmoving.
She briefly hesitates and confusion flashes in her eyes momentarily before she speaks. "Don't play games with me."
She reaches out and grabs your wrist, pulling you to your feet before restraining both your hands behind you.
"I don't know what youre talking about. I- I cant remember anything. Do you know me?"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Shuri, I don't know. Seems a little convenient." Carol Danvers is not convinced that your memories are completely wiped out.
"My scans all show that she's telling the truth. Her memories have disappeared from her brain entirely and so have any powers she had. It's like they never existed in the first place."
"The ship she crashed came from the collector, I'm gonna go gather some Intel. Something tells me this could be more dire than a little memory loss."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A seedy bar with seedier patrons bustles with lively music as Carol waits for her contact. She doesn't know how he gets his information, but he's never been wrong before.
"Hey there hot stuff" he sits next to her as she rolls her eyes hard.
"What do you have for me?" She cuts straight to the point.
"What, no foreplay?" He tried to flash a charming smile but she keeps her face stern until he caves. "Uh, anyway... The collector acquired this new device. It's meant to collect memories in criminal trials to be stored and replayed, but the one he got was modified. It permanently collects them from the subject, typically leaving them a little...dead."
"Shit. Thanks." She hands over his payment and immediately leaves the bar, returning to her ship.
She presses a few buttons on a console and the holographic image of Shuri flickers to life. "What did you find Carol?"
"Its worse than we could have imagined."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
You spend days in Shuri's lab as she runs test after test with Carol looking on. Your poked and proded by various instruments and needles until you're on the brink of madness. Neither woman speaks to you much unless it's a requirement of the current test. Instead they speak to each other as if you're not even there.
"The only way for the memories to return is with the device." She concludes.
"You're positive?" The skepticism clear in Carol's eyes.
"Absolutely."
Finally she speaks directly to you, "The plan is simple, the collector wants you back, there's a bounty on your head and I'm going pretend to collect. Once we have access to the building we can use the device and restore your memories before destroying it."
"I don't know how to fight. I'll be useless when we get inside."
Carol rolls her eyes before speaking, "it's a long trip, I'll train you on the way."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The ship is dark and quiet, you're meant to be sleeping, but all you're trying to do is wrack your brain, understand what's happening.
Suddenly there's a blade at your throat. You were so lost in thought you failed to notice Carol creep up on you.
"You're dead." She pulls the knife away from your throat, "how the hell am I supposed to train you? It's like you have no survival instincts whatsoever."
"Well excuse me for having an existential crisis because I know absolutely nothing about myself." You snap.
A frown tugs at your lips as she stalks away in a huff. She is cold, demanding, and ruthless. You know she hates you, but you don't know why. You try to be as nice as possible but it seems to irritate her even more, and she won't tell you anything about yourself, insisting that you'll learn when they get your memories back from the collector.
Day after day for a week your hours are filled with combat training. She doesn't let up no matter how exhausted you are. She punctuates every move to overpower you with a growled "Dead. Again."
Finally you break, "Why do you even care anyway? Huh? You clearly hate me. Why are you even helping me?"
"I don't hate you." You almost believe her. It's clear that it's complicated, not as easy as just hatred. It's deep and complex. Sometimes when she looks at you, her eyes sparkle for a fraction of a second as if she's remembering something good before morphing to disdain.
"Please, just tell me..." You plead, "I know we mean something to each other. I can feel it."
"We don't." She is short with you, but you're determined to get something out of her. Anything.
"Then at least tell me why you're helping me." You say as you follow her closely through the ship.
She sees that you're not going to give up and gives you the smallest bit she can in hopes of satiating your curiosity until you get to your destination. "It's for a friend I made a promise to a long time ago." She softens a bit at the thought. "When she was taken from me by a mad titan, I vowed to avenge her. With your help, your memories, I can."
Training is easier now that you have a sense of purpose and you understand Carol a tiny bit better. Not only are you doing this for yourself, you're doing it for Carol and the friend she lost. It feels like you're finding yourself even if she won't tell you anything.
"Can you tell me more about your friend?" You ask after a long sparring session a few weeks later as you lay across a chair exhausted.
She pauses for a moment, you think she's going to tell you it's none of your business but she starts to speak softly. "She was incredible. Her passion was unmatched. When she found something she thought was worth fighting for, worth believing in, she was all in." You see tears welling in her eyes as she stares down at the weapon she's polishing, "We fought together for so long until one day, she couldn't do it anymore."
She heads to the helm of the ship, signaling the end of the conversation. You mull her words over, try and think of anything you can say to ease her pain, but nothing you come up with feels right.
Her attitude has toward you hasn't changed, but you're hopeful that as soon as your memories are returned to you, you can mend relationship that you must have previously had.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
You run over the plan in your head again and again as you approach the massive celestial severed head known as knowhere. It seems familiar but you gawk at the sight nonetheless, the juxtaposition of the skeletonized head among an interstellar cloud of gas, plasma, and dust amalgamating in a beautiful range of yellows, greens, and blues is breath taking.
The approach seems to take an eternity as nerves settle in your stomach. Carol is dressed in a disguise of sorts and you are cuffed. She places a key in your pocket to use later and you exit the ship. She puts on a show of shoving you forward towards the guard at the entrance of the collection causing you to stumble forward.
"Here for a bounty." She says curtly as she looks up at the towering being before her.
He speaks into a device on his wrist and the door opens, he nods and you make your way inside. The amount of items that surround you is staggering. Relics, Knick knacks, beings... You have a hard time picking just one thing to look at, you could spend years wandering the building and still not see everything.
Carol ignores the surrounding objects and heads straight for the lift. She doesn't speak to you the entire journey up until she notices you shifting from foot to foot and fiddling with your hands.
"Relax."
"I don't know if I'm -" your words are cut short by the doors opening. A man with a shock of white hair and heavy unblinking eyes stands before you. A small smile curls at the corner of his lips when he sees you.
"As agreed upon." He hands Carol payment and she returns to the lift. You stare back at her, mouth agape. This was not the plan. This was not a back up plan. She left you. Tears prick the corners of your eyes as you try to subtly search your pocket for the cuff keys, but it's gone.
"You poor thing. You think she was going to follow through with whatever half baked scheme she used to lure you in? Bounty hunters can be awfully manipulative." He circles you, inspecting your body in the way one would with any number of the relics in his collection. "Bet she promised to help you get your life back." He says with a tap of his index finger to your temple.
The tears fall freely. You feel used. Anger builds in your chest until it bursts forth in a primal scream that threatens to rip your vocal cords to shreds as the collector chuckles behind you. He stands close behind you, you feel his hot breath on the shell of your ear.
"I can give those memories back," his voice is low, "work with me and you'll have your memories and anything else you could ever want."
"You took my them from me in the first place, why would you give them back?" You turn in place quickly to face him.
"You left before we could finish the job." He uncuffs you, "you see, you came to me. You wanted some of your memories removed." His hands cup your cheeks, "the machine malfunctioned and you ran away before we could do anything. Even without your powers you are strong." He presses his lips gently to yours and you recoil at his touch.
"You'll remember me soon enough."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Your eyes are held open by the machine, you feel it probe the pathways of your brain until it reaches its destination.
"We have to sort through some things my dear." You hear the voice of Taneleer Tivan echo in your head as flashes of images play in your mind.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"That one looks like a cat!" You look to your left and see a young blonde girl beside you where you lay in a field of tall grass. Her arm is outstretched to the sky as she points to a particular cloud.
"I think it looks more like a goose!" You fall into a fit of giggles and the girl beside you joins in.
"Carol! Time for dinner!" She gets up with an overly dramatic sigh.
"Guess I gotta go, I'll see you tomorrow!"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Definitely don't need that one." Tivan's voice rings clearly as the memory fades to nothing.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"What if they don't like me?" The same girl sits next to you on a bench outside your favorite ice cream shop. She's several years older, mid teens maybe, but it's unmistakably her.
"Impossible. They'd have to be stupid to not see how cool you are." She licks around the edges of the waffle cone as the icy treat starts to melt.
"I'm serious." You cast your eyes down.
Carol places a hand on yours and you feel your stomach flip as you look up at her, "They're gonna love you." Her words are soft, "Plus, maybe one day you can be one of the X-Men! Living in a mansion is also an added bonus." She laughs and your heart lightens. You're still nervous, but she's taken the edge off.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Useless."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
A flicker of several memories of Charles Xavier teaching you to hone your abilities fill your vision. He had a particular interest in you as you both share the same sorts of power, your time in the x-mansion was often spent with him.
"When an individual acquires great power, the use or misuse of that power is everything. Do not squander it. It is our birthright... Perhaps, our burden. With that power comes responsibility -- and also accountability." You're walking the grounds around the mansion with the professor, enjoying the beautiful weather. "This is only the first step on a long and difficult journey. Throughout your life, there is going to be a lot of people telling you not to be you. Don't let them tear you down. Don't compromise. You have the chance to become part of something much bigger than yourself. Right now you are in control of your destiny. You remember that."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"I have a good feeling about those"
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"I'm so glad you came!" you greet Carol with a hug. You feel like it's been ages since you saw your best friend. You've only been away a few months since moving into the mansion, but not seeing her every day has been difficult.
You stand on a pier surrounded by carnival games and rides, the sea breeze tousles her hair around her face as the smell of funnel cake and popcorn invades your nostrils. You take her hand and run to the end of the pier where the sea lions lounge on the platforms below. You comment back and forth on the behavior of an especially rambunctious pup whose antics have left you both in a fit of giggles.
You've missed her smile, her laugh, everything about her. You feel the fluttering of butterflies in your stomach as you watch her lean her elbows on the wooden rails and smile down at the mammals below. The realization of what she truly means to you hits you like a freight train.
You are in love with your best friend.
"Promise me something Carol."
"Anything." Her eyes are bright as they look up to you.
"Best friends forever. No matter what. We'll always be there for each other." You hold your pinky out to solidify the pact and she wraps her pinky around yours.
"Always and forever."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Guess she lied. Let's get rid of that."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Years later you are visiting home, It's your 18th birthday and you and Carol have spent the day celebrating with friends and family.
"I know the perfect way to end the day." She says as the last guest leaves. "Come on, let's go."
The pair of you hop in her truck and drive until you've hit a secluded hilltop away from the light pollution. You climb out and she hoists herself into the bed of the truck, extending her hand to help you do the same. As you climb in you step onto a mattress and Carol begins to pull pillows and blankets out of a duffle bag. Once the bed is all cozy you both lay down and look up at the stars.
"Happy birthday." She whispers as her hand grabs yours, intertwining your fingers together.
You feel a tingle of adoration spread through your body, a smile stretches across your lips. "Thank you."
Comfortable silence fills a chunk of time before Carol's voice finally breaks it. "I want you to read my mind."
The shock on your face is apparent, you've always made it a point to ensure that you don't invade the privacy of people's minds unless it's dire or they've given you permission, and Carol has never given you permission before. "Why now?"
"Just look, please." Her eyes show a mixture of fear and anticipation. Your eyes close and gently you probe her mind, she opens up to you and you feel love envelope you in a warm embrace, you feel the squeeze of her hand as her voice rings clear in your head. "I always thought what I had was just a childhood crush, but it never went away. I've been in love with you for as long as I can remember."
Your eyes snap open and you look to Carol, before you can register what's happening, tears fall from your eyes. It wasn't just you. She felt it too.
"Please say something." Her brow furrows with worry and you rush to answer her.
"Me too." You reach your free hand to cup her face, turning your body to face her, "Can I kiss you?" She nods and you lean into her. Your lips brush against hers softly before deepening the kiss. This is the happiest moment of your life.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Don't need this one."
You feel the machine trying to rip the memory back from your mind and you hold tight. Not this one. You want at least one reminder of the good before you see how things ended.
The machine doesn't seem to alert Tivan of the failure to remove it and he continues forward.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Flashes of the next six years invade your mind, little moments spent with Carol when the two of you got any chance to. She had moved closer to you, but between your training to become a full member of the X-Men and her joining the air force to become a pilot you weren't able to spend as much time together as you would have liked.
You spoke on the phone nearly every day, a lot of happy meet ups and conversations took place, but the distance and time brought up plenty of arguments as well.
"We need to figure something out Carol. I love you more than anything, but we can't keep this up. We need to figure out where our lives are heading." You say exasperatedly over the phone.
"I know baby, but I need time to figure it out."
"We've had six years to figure it out, and every time I try and talk to you about how we can build a home for ourselves and be together, truly together, rather than this bullshit, you push it off. It's never the right time. Maybe it never will be..." You feel defeated.
"What are you saying?"
"I don't know. I just can't keep waiting like this." You hang up the phone and sob. Did you just break up with her or give her an ultimatum? You aren't sure. Your mind is swimming, you go to bed and toss and turn all night thinking about the implications of the conversation.
The next few days you don't receive your usual call, but you don't worry. She's probably giving you space to cool off before you try and talk through it, maybe this time will be different.
On the fourth day one of your housemates calls you to the phone. Your nervous to hear what Carol has to say. You hope she's finally come up with some sort of plan, a timeline.
"Hello?"
The person on the other end confirms your identity before relaying the worst news of your life. She's gone. Killed in a test flight.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"She spent years jerking you around and them poof, gone. We can keep this one."
He spends the next several hours sifting through the next ten years of your life. Becoming part of the X-Men and a teacher, dedicating your life to the kids you taught, nearly being killed, your slow decent into depression and fading of your faith in yourself, leaving the school to move back to your hometown only to work as a librarian.
He kept the memories he deemed necessary and removed everything else. You constantly felt like something was being ripped from your mind but you couldn't remember what.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"I'd like to check this out." The voice is a familiar echo of your past as a book slams on the desk in front of you, you look up to see Carol, your lost love, not having aged at all. There's only one explanation.
"Mystique, I haven't worked with Charles in years, I don't have anything you want." You stare into her eyes coldly.
"What? It's me, really. Carol."
"You aren't very convincing, she's been dead for ten years. You should have picked someone else." You wave your hand in dismissal as you move towards your return cart.
"Look into my mind." She brings herself back into your sight around the desk.
You reach out and find that she's pushing forward her recollection of times you had spent with her in private, loving little moments, then the events of the last ten years, displaying them for you, trying to get you to understand what happened.
"Why did you wait 4 years after you found yourself again?" The pain in your voice as you stumbled through the words was clear.
"I was afraid. I spent days after our last conversation being mad until I realized I wasn't being fair to you. I planned to call you after the test flight... Then when I came back I saw that you were happy at the school and I didn't want to ruin that again."
"What were you going to say? After the flight." Your eyes fill with tears as old wounds reopen and tear at your insides.
"I wasn't sure at first." She whispers, "I was going to tell you to leave me, that I couldn't give you what you wanted or needed, but then when I thought about that as I took off on that flight. The world was a little dimmer, I couldn't see the beauty I usually saw from the cockpit. My dreams of flying didn't matter if I didn't have you."
You both stand still, eyes connected as tears trail down your faces. Her hand reaches for yours and you allow her to take it.
"I'm sorry. For everything. I just wanted you to know that, and maybe give you some sort of closure if you needed it." She drops your hand and turns to leave.
She's almost to the door when you call out to her. "Carol, wait!" Your body acts on its own and you run and jump into her arms, wrapping your legs around her hips as her hands land under your thighs to support you and you smash your lips against her in a frenzied kiss. Your love for Carol never faded, it was always there, this was like settling back into your own bed after a long trip away from home. A comforting warm embrace that felt safe.
You're both left panting when the kiss breaks and you rest your forehead against hers.
"Can I take you out?" Her smile beams wide and you nod.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"Ah, this is a moment you told me about. When you look back on it you feel like a fool. You definitely don't want this."
It feels wrong, you fight to keep this too, but it slips through your grasp until you have no idea what it was you were trying to save.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Another flood of memories, years of happiness at Carol's side as you fight against the evils of the universe. You have fights and disagreements just like before, but this time you're together through it all. It's not perfect, but you work through your problems together, until you can't.
In your time among the stars you start to feel jaded, the looming threat of the mad titan Thanos begins to weigh heavily on you. You watch as countless beings fall fighting beside you and Carol in the name of what's right.
"This universe is finite, its resources finite. If life is left unchecked, life will cease to exist. It needs correction. I know what it's like to lose. To feel so desperately that you're right, yet to fail nonetheless. It’s frightening." Thanos stands over the body of another friend he has slain in the name of his purpose as he speaks to you. "Help me end the suffering that plagues this place. Help me restore balance to the universe, a quest truly worthy of your talents."
He extends a hand to you, an open invitation to join his cause. You think back on every poverty stricken community you've encountered, every starving child, every avoidable tragedy, and you take his hand.
Carol finally catches up to you in this moment, you look back and see her face fall in confusion, "I'm sorry, I can't keep fighting the inevitable."
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
The remainder of your memories that involve Carol are bitter, full of anguish. She treats you like any other enemy she's ever had, stoking the fire of your hatred for her.
Then something comes loose, a memory that was wiped before you met Tivan. Guilt shreds your insides as the image flashes through your mind. Years spent in service of Thanos to wipe out half the universe, killing in the name of his quest. It was never your intention.
You had just lost another friend in a battle to find Thanos. You lay on your back amidst the rubble and chaos after having defeated the last wave of Chitari, and you made a decision, you were done fighting a loosing battle, you had to do something to end this.
You formulated a plan then and there. The next time you met Thanos face to face you would get close enough to rip him apart with your mind, spread every molecule of his being across space and time until they are consumed by the heat of the stars and lost in black holes. This effort would certainly kill you, but you couldn't fight anymore. Not when people were dying left and right and there was seemingly no end in sight. You didn't tell Carol, you knew she would try and stop you. You didn't tell anyone. This was your burden to bear.
The thing you hadn't anticipated was the mind stone. You were so wrapped in grief and guilt you were short sighted. The second he touched your hand with the gauntlet your memory of the plan was gone. You were fully in his hold, a servant.
The machine begins to shake beneath you. Your eyes go white and you are no longer in control of your body. The straps and instruments that hold you down seem to disobey gravity as they disassemble themselves and float away. Your body rises in the air and a burst of energy flows from you, atomizing the machine beneath you and releasing every memory back to you.
The air crackles with telepathic energy as your mind searches for the collector, but he's no longer there. How long were you out of control? You reach out again to whoever is around, you sense a familiar presence, Carol.
Your eyes return to normal and you land with your feet firm on the floor, you are full of determination. You feel the suffering of countless beings in the building. Floor by floor you release them, taking out any guards or threats on your way. When you're halfway through you finally find Carol slumped over in a clear case amid other heroes that have gone missing across the universe. You release the others one by one and ask to probe their minds before unlocking the abilities that the collector had somehow managed to dampen.
When you make it to Carol's case you sit on the ground next to her and pull her into your lap, gently you push the hair from her face. She barely stirs before her hands are around your neck, she's weak but you don't fight when she pushes into you, your back pressed against the ground as she straddles you.
"It's okay. I deserve it." You choke out through tears. You reach into her mind and unlock her powers without probing further.
"What are you doing?" She screams in frustration.
"You need your abilities to rescue everyone else. Please Carol, just do it." You sob, you don't fight her in the slightest. "I can't live with what I've done, I don't want to."
The pressure at your throat increases until your vision darkens around the edges.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
"It's too dangerous Carol!" You hear Shuri's voice in the distance.
"I need to know more. I need to understand what the hell happened in there. She wanted me to kill her." She whisper shouts.
"You were supposed to make sure she didn't get anything back, she's dangerous. You know that better than anyone else."
Carol sighs heavily, "That's why I'm taking her to a deserted planet. Once we have our feet on the ground I'll send the ship back into orbit. If something happens to me, at least she won't be able to hurt anyone else."
You don't hear the rest of the conversation as the crushing weight of your reality bares down on your chest until you struggle to breathe. Your eyes are fixed to the ceiling above you, but you see nothing. Your mind fogs up until your eyes loose focus and your thoughts vacate your mind.
You feel the ship land and Carol snaps you out of your trance, guiding you out of the ship before you watch it rise back into the air and disappear from sight.
You're in the middle of a field of tall grass, much like the one you and Carol played in as kids, this would be a good place to go. You sink to your knees before the love of your life and wait for her to speak.
"What happened to you?" She whispers, her voice full of emotion.
"I just wanted everything to stop. I didn't want to keep watching our friends and family suffering needlessly in a war that we were loosing in." Your eyes latch onto hers, "I was going to kill him myself, even if it meant I would die in the process. I didn't want to tell you, I knew you'd try and stop me."
You could see a shift in her gaze, understanding blooms in her features and you know she believes you, but the anger is still there.
"You killed for him."
"I was so wrapped up in my plan that I didn't think about the mind stone." You hang your head in shame. "I fucked up. I don't deserve mercy, I don't deserve to live. I let my emotions drive me to the point of endangering countless lives."
When you look up, she's gone. Her silhouette disappearing into the purple sky. You fall back into the grass and watch the sky change with the fading light of the sun as it dips below the horizon. You lay unmoving until exhaustion overtakes you and your eyes close.
Your sleep is fitful, nightmares of everything you'd done since joining Thanos plagues your vision. The face of every person you ever hurt flips through your mind like a photo album. You know you were manipulated, but the pain of your actions consumes you. The gnawing guilt is more than you can take, you don't want to wait for Carol to possibly return to put you out of your misery.
You rise from the ground and take flight into the dawn, you want to see something beautiful. You fly over the surface of the planet taking in its lush beauty. You make it to the Mountains taller than you've ever seen, dense forests with trees of colors you can't begin to describe, a bright sea with beaches of white sands.
When you're finally ready you shoot through the atmosphere as fast as your abilities will carry you. Your breathing becomes laboured as you break through the last layer, the icy chill of space envelopes you and your last thought of Carol's face.
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
They say your life flashes before your eyes before you die, but this memory is only vaguely familiar to you. You lay in the recovery room in the X-mansion, but you can't place when. Your eyes adjust to the brightness of the room and next to you a figure sits with her head in her hands.
"Carol." Your voice is weak, barely a whisper.
Her head shoots up, tears in her eyes as one of her hands desperately clasps onto yours and the other clasps your cheek.
"There you are."

Hello! Sorry this is going to be a long ask.
I'm writing a cast of four characters, all of whom have some form of disability and I'd like your input, especially since a few of them fall into tropes I've seen talked about on the blog.
I have autism, ADHD, and chronic joint pain that is undiagnosed but probably related to hypermobility. All of them have ADHD and autism but I'm not going to talk about that at length for any of them because I'm pretty comfortable with writing them.
Dispite the amount of disabled characters I have and the questions I have about how to portray them, this is not a story about disability or the disabled experience, but I do want to showcase my disabled characters in a nuanced way that highlights that their disability is not separable from them.
This is also for a fanfiction, and the source has some trouble with how it portrays disability (evil character with an eye patch, bionics that completely negate the disability) and I'm trying to figure out what I can modify and what I need to just throw out.
I'll go in alphabetical order and talk about them and the tropes I'm worried about falling into/what I want advice on.
Autumn (he/they)
He has ADHD, autism, classical EDS, is mildly HoH (about 20-30 decibels less than normal range), and has three fingers on his right hand due to an injury. They use a variety of mobility aids throughout the story, starting with only occasionally using a cane and ending with using forearm crutches on good days and a wheelchair on bad days.
The tropes/things I'm concerned about with them are the “good” wheelchair user, the noble dead disabled character, and finger prosthetics
The "pure/good" wheelchair user trope I'm partially concerned about because he becomes the moral core of the cast as time goes on and he gets more disabled. He doesn't become a better person, really, but everyone else gets Worse. He's still snarky and can be selfish and jaded at times, but I feel like it's harder to demonstrate that at the end.
Being the most honest and least willing to capitulate to doing terrible things leads to his execution, which is a turning point and a point of no return. I feel like this ties into a trope of the disabled character dying first, especially since he's the one who's using disability aids/is most explicitly disabled.
I've seen the posts about why finger prosthetics aren't useful/common, but I was thinking that he'd start off with canon-typical bionic fingers before eventually realizing that he doesn't need them and it's more hassle to put them on and off than it is to just not have them. Is this an okay use of finger prosthetics since it's kind of grappling with the trope itself? Or would it be better for him not to have them in the first place?
Right now I have it so Autumn’s sister Summer died and he named himself in her honor when he transitioned. That's pretty immutable at this point. However, right now I have her as d/Deaf, with much more profound hearing loss than Autumn. (Which is also why he knows ASL) Does this fall into a disabled dead character issue?
Chauncey (he/him)
Chauncey has ADHD, autism, burn scars, chronic pain (unspecified, based on my own experiences) and dyscalculia.
Chauncey's the one I'm frankly least concerned about any specific tropes. There are only one or two concerns I have with him:
As an author, it's important to know what disability a character has even if they don't know. I know in your FAQ you say “I'm disabled is it okay to x” is generally okay, but do you think I should have a more specific disability in mind that matches my symptoms or can I keep it no specificity?
He's a clone who was rapidly aged and I wasn't sure how to figure out if/how that might affect his dyscalculia since it's not exactly a situation that happens in real life but that's about it.
Morticia (she/her)
She's my protagonist. She has autism, ADHD, a visual impairment in the form of a missing eye, and visible scarring on her face.
She's heavily based on the canon character who was an “evil eyepatch” guy. I changed it so she actually has issues with said eye and made her less evil during the period of time she uses it but I'm not sure if I should just ditch the eyepatch all together.
She starts with a bionic eye (it's not perfect, but she can see out of it to some extent). Then she gets into some sci-fi bullshit and starts piloting around a robot telepathically, but her signals get crossed with her bionic eye, so she covers it with an eyepatch while she's piloting the robot. She does use this scheme to commit 28 murders, but the murders are kind of justified by the plot? She's really written as doing some ehh things for what she believes is right. I definitely wouldn't write the eyepatch that way if it wasn't in the source, but it was like the way to identify her character in the source, so it feels weird to not have it at all.
After that, she gets arrested, gets her bionic taken, and gets a prosthetic to keep appearances and hold the shape. Stuff happens, and she gets another bionic with some more visual info that is sometimes too much for her. She gets a lot worse than when she had the eye patch, but she does still have a noticeable eye difference. Her later bionic is totally customizable and she normally keeps it a glowing gold.
I have questions about her facial scarring because she uses it to play on people's perceptions. When she's campaigning and trying to look innocent and kind, she covers it as much as she can. However, when she feels like she is in control and can do whatever she wants without consequences, she doesn't bother or even chooses to try to cover her freckles but avoid her scars because she thinks they make her more intimidating. This results in her having her scarring visible during scenes where she's being "evil" but not when she's being "good." Is that okay? It feels like it's playing into the "villain with scars" but since she as a character is doing that, it feels less like the story itself is doing it (especially since Chauncey has similar or slightly more prominent scarring and doesn't do similar things), but I'm unsure.
She is evil, and disabled, but I don't want her to be an evil disabled character. I try to associate her covering up her scarring more with masking/trying to fit in than with her being “good” but I'm not sure if it comes off that way.
Mortimer (he/him)
ADHD, autism, and limb difference (upper arm amputee)
Mortimer is probably the character I'm most worried about with my disability rep (shocking considering the five huge paragraphs I just wrote about Morticia). He's the trope of “amputee that fixes his own prosthetics/tinkers on himself.” He also makes Autumn and Morti’s aids (at least until the arrest). He also kind of falls into an autistic savant but I'm less worried about how to navigate that since I'm very familiar with the autistic community, am autistic, and have other autistic characters.
I'm worried that if I make the prosthetics he makes not “cybernetic fix-all” it'll defeat some of what I'm trying to do with making him just as good as inventors who have done that in canon. I don't know how to retcon that canon without using an author's note, which feels disjointed and I want to avoid it.
To try to work with this and not ignore the fact he's disabled, I show the prosthetics needing maintenance and try to show them sometimes being uncomfortable or heavy.
However, this leads into my second problem with how I'm handling his disability. His character arc causes him to go from being the nicest one in the cast who is very meticulous but can sometimes have a temper, to becoming reckless, rude, and seemingly uncaring.
As he becomes more reckless and less willing to care for himself, he stops doing some of the necessary maintenance on his prosthetic, causing it to break more often and rust. I'm worried this looks like I'm tying his disability getting “worse” with his morality, since he also stops caring for others as much when he stops caring for himself.
I'm also not sure if it is okay for him to paint his bionic arm to try to look like a flesh arm, since he was a criminal and he was trying to make himself look less identifiable at a glance. And if it is, when he stops doing his maintenance on it, it makes sense for the paint to chip, but that would strengthen the association of him being more visibly disabled as he becomes meaner and harsher. I'm not sure if having Autumn bring the only one who's personality remains more or less the same while becoming more visibly disabled balences this out a little bit or if it's a point of having two tropes at the same time doesn't make either better. (If Autumn is a “good wheelchair user”)
Questions involving more than one character:
Autumn knows some ASL. Mortimer is an unrealistic character that knows far more than any one person can know, and he knows basically any language as far as the story is concerned. Autumn teaches Morti a little ASL, as well. Since Autumn can understand most conversation, they generally use it instead of whispering rather than in normal conversation. Is that an acceptable use of ASL?
Currently all of my visible facial and limb differences are due to injury. I have extremely few other characters with any prominence or description at all, certainly to the extent where it would be reasonable to know if someone has a difference due to injury or birth. Do I change/add something to these four so it's less All Injuries?
I mentioned before Mortimer and Morticia trying to hide their differences for different reasons. I don't really want to go into any sense of shame they have over it, just them hiding for practical purposes. If it's not appropriate to hide them for practical purposes, do I have people react as if they had hidden them or is that erasure? (e.g. Mortimer doesn't paint his arm and it's visibly mechanical. Is that something the police are looking to identify him by or do I ignore it? It feels weird to ignore it, but if it's causing problems for the characters it feels like a reasonable reaction would be to try to blend in, but is trying to blend in/hiding their disability just heightening the sense that disabled people need to hide?)
I'm so sorry I wrote an Entire Essay I promise I tried to be concise but I have a lot of questions about the tropes I fear I'm hitting and whether I'm missing anything trying to portray the disabilities I don't have
Hey!
I will answer only some of your questions because I don't have enough experience with a lot of the subject matter here. I'd recommend looking at this post some time after it's published to see if maybe a follower had an answer/suggestion for you.
Now for the questions I'm able to answer:
For Chauncey;
It's 100% okay to base it on your own experience. At times disabilities are mysterious and unspecific, that's just how it sometimes is. The problem with this that appears from abled authors is that the symptoms or treatments just often don't make sense, because they have no clue what they're doing; confusing basic terms, making weird conclusions...
But you are a person with lived experience. You understand how your symptoms work and how you manage it from the best - first person - point of view. If someone is well-equipped to write a character with your disability, it's you.
For Morticia (cool name BTW);
As of the bionic eye; as far as I'm aware they don't really exist yet, but this is a sci-fi scenario so it's a bit different. (If you want to hear about the currently real options, here's a post that could interest you).
I'm slightly puzzled by her eyepatch fixing the signal issues; I would've assumed that it would transmit things either way (?) because with an eyepatch she would still see, just the inside of the patch and not the usual stuff. But my cluelessness here might be my fault by the fact that I'm not familiar with the source material. But if it's meant for a general (non-fandom) audience, I think it would be great if you could elaborate on the science here.
With the later eyes she gets, I advise you to keep her visually impaired even if her vision improves somewhat. It shouldn't be a cure. You potentially could think of it like hearing aids, where they can be more or less helpful, but are often more annoying than anything else and aren't fully "restoring" the sense by any means. Maybe her bionic eye has static, or weird spots, or causes double vision.
Now for the "hmm" part...
"When she's campaigning and trying to look innocent and kind, she covers it as much as she can. However, when she feels like she is in control and can do whatever she wants without consequences, she doesn't bother or even chooses to try to cover her freckles but avoid her scars because she thinks they make her more intimidating."
Please, please, please don't do this. To answer your question; not okay.
I have written a post somewhat about this kind of thing. I really dislike playing with ableism in this way. Portraying scars as "intimidating" on an already dicey character... just no.
To pull this off in a way that's not offensive, you would have to research disfiguremisia in and out. It would need active commentary and a lot of teaching-the-reader-why-this-is-bad, and if you have to ask if it's okay, then you just aren't ready for it. And that's fine. You don't have to write a scenario based on heavy disfiguremisia, so don't. Remember, it's not her acting a certain way, it's you writing her to act a certain way.
I don't want you to take this personally, but please just don't write this. Not like this, at least.
For the "fitting in" part, I addressed it in the post linked above; I don't think that I have anything to add that wasn't included there.
For Mortimer, the best I can do right now is give you a bunch of links that will hopefully be helpful to you. This is just way beyond my answering capabilities and we don't have any mods who are amputees at the moment, so you're at the mercy of follower input for the most part. But;
Post of posts about arm prosthetics
Our general amputee tag
@cy-cyborg 's account, xe posts great writing advice, often regarding prosthetics. I believe that ze accepts asks as well.
For the rest of the questions;
"Currently all of my visible facial and limb differences are due to injury [...] Do I change/add something to these four so it's less All Injuries?
I would say yes. Some of the tropes that you're working if are not great, so adding a few additional characters that don't fall into them will help a lot. Try having some characters with similar disabilities that don't tick the issue-causing boxes. Throw someone with a facial difference that doesn't commit any kind of mass murder in there.
"I mentioned before Mortimer and Morticia trying to hide their differences for different reasons. [...] If it's not appropriate to hide them for practical purposes, do I have people react as if they had hidden them or is that erasure?"
In real life they would probably be recognized by it, though I need to say that there is absolutely a part of the population who just doesn't notice. People can absolutely be oblivious, especially if the lack of limb is hidden by clothes. Particularly if there are a lot of things going on.
That said, if whoever seen them has noticed, then they would look for that. That's just the logical outcome. But I don't think an eyepatch helps much to hide the actual disability, they would still assume that the person with a bionic eye and the eyepatch-wearing person are probably the same.
You can potentially avoid it by making a large chunk of the population disabled. "Girl without an eye" isn't very helpful information to hunt someone by when there's dozens of people with that description in the city.
For the end, I'm sorry that some parts of it might have come off as not the most encouraging (the Morticia part...), please remember that I'm just criticizing the tropes and implications. I can kind of tell that whatever the source material is, it is way worse about its treatment of disability/facial difference, so I would consider it an improvement nonetheless. Still, it could be better. I hope that the above links and answers will help you with your project.
If any followers are familiar with the topics discussed here, you can leave a reply or reblog with your suggestions. Remember to be constructive.
I hope this helps!

Hey! Mod Patch hopping in here to talk a bit about Autumn. I think that you’re aware of the tropes this could fall into is a good first step.
First of all, you mention Autumn is missing some fingers and has classical EDS. Both of these could make using a manual wheelchair more difficult. Is the wheelchair in question manual? If it is perhaps consider adding a power assist (perhaps like a fantasy version of a smart drive.
I’m not too concerned about him being “pure” because you mention that they are 1) working with other “immoral” folks. My suggestion would be to try and lean into the selfish and jaded parts of the character. Show his motivations aren't exclusively disability-related. I am a bit concerned about his execution. I understand that you might not be able to change that plot point but can you have other characters who use mobility aids and survive longer? They don’t have to be as major in the story.

Thought I'd place my project down for the whole class.
Paciphist AU (which is still in a HEAVY WIP, this AU was summoned literally upon the mention that Medkit would've wanted to be a teacher during his Spawnday Q&A)
Due to most of the characters and factions in Phighting not having set lore/not enough information, I can only get rough concepts for a select few characters and factions since I dont want this AU relying heavily on headcanons.
Playground
There's still crime, just significantly less crime that involves violence. The crimes committed are more so theft, vandalism, etc.
Blackrock
A bit more lenient on the occupations of its support gears compared to canon. However, most are put into work at the lab, and then they may change occupations later on.
Technology is less offensive & defensive compared to canon since, well, it's a pacifist AU, there's not really a need for that stuff.
Thieves' Den
Not sure if there's many changes that can be made here, I mean, it's basically the most peaceful faction out of all of them (based on the information we already have)
Lost Temple
Not much information on this faction, so it's a bit difficult to make set in stone points for it.
Phighting
It doesn't exist, due to the pacifist idealisation in this AU the sport/occupation hosted by Flipside is not present in this AU.
Scythe
In this AU, she's not a serial killer, and more so focuses on the "cult leader" aspect of her lore.
She still has that prosthetic arm.
Subspace
He's no longer a rotting subway sandwich. Wow!!! The incident never happened.
Still making biografts (said biografts are more focused on quality of life stuff, idk how to explain it, like biografts built to withstand conditions demons can't so that they can get resources).
He never modified his gear, but his crystal does make it somewhat more powerful.
His crystal isn't as powerful since offence is not as needed, and he is focusing more on biografts.
Medkit
Used to be a scientist working alongside Subspace for some time, and then became science teacher.
Incident never happened, so his eye is still there (this also means he never left Blackrock, and so he isn't a wanted criminal, part of The Church of the TRUE EYE, 'nor working under Scythe).
His crystal is less powerful since he didn't spend as much time developing it back when he was a scientist. It can still heal, but it can't resurrect demons.
Flipside (Valk and Dom)
They no longer host Phighting matches and instead are known for their music!
I believe they may have a closer affiliation with Boombox, as he is also a music artist.
That's all for now! I'll come back with more info whenever I think of some. :]
yeah this is some pretty good stuff
also subspace could be using biografts for rescue missions
besides that got no ideas

A bunch of drawings showing how Vic ages - as he’s a cyborg and heavily modified, he ages somewhat more slowly, but still has a finite lifespan not exceeding 150 years. In this one head-canon I have, he lives to be 144 and pretty much doesn’t stop working in his lab right up to his last day <:’)

Avatar Wario AU Stuff I Came Up With At Work Today
With Mario being mostly his Game Canon self with a side of Meme like Luigi is, Peach doesn't have any reason to devolve into a one-note raging bitch, and thus is in no position to be declaring Anime a public safety hazard. Instead it's set into motion by Diamond City's mayor, who was at their wit's end dealing with the WarioWare Crew's antics before Wario became the Avatar and got even worse. Objectively speaking a city-wide ban isn't as bad as a kingdom-wide ban, but it does set a concerning precedent, so it's just as vital that WarioWare and the Glitchy Gang fight it.
As I very heavily implied, in this timeline Meggy's the one who experiences Fake Sephiroth 2 Electric Boogaloo and Desti's the one who gets Zucced and turned into a Human/Octoling/Whatever hybrid.
It takes a certain type of person to willingly be around even a normal Wario long-term, let alone this one. Desti turns out to be the right type of person, while the rest of the Octo-Posse decidedly Are Not.
She actually ends up joining WarioWare Inc. after the final tournament since she likes the rest of Wario's friends and the pay's actually pretty good despite...well, you know. She does, however, still go through a similar crisis of "what do I do with my life now?"/Severe Untreated PTSD combo that Meggy did in canon, including the part about trying to go on a vacation. Not sure what she eventually decides, since I don't want to just have her become a sports coach exactly like Meggy did. She is her own person after all.
Since Mario isn't crazy stupid he didn't go through Mario's Home Alone. Instead he just found Melony somewhere and took her home because he thought a melon with a beanie was cool.
Also instead of having the same Headgear as Meggy Melony's base form has a beanie with a design based on her humanoid form's hoodie.
While Melony was Meggy's parody in SMG3's play, she ends up as Desti's anti-cast counterpart because "Melonsti" still gets "dies" during the confrontation backstage. Also Wario and Waluigi get counterparts because they were involved in two of the arcs
Since Zer0 doesn't know who the Avatar is any more than anyone else, once his eye escapes 3's Guardian Pod he has to do some research... which mostly involves bingeing 4's channel to see if it has any clues. Because of this he learns a lot about the Crew, finds out about Meggy's death, and gets a truly twisted idea.
...Yeah Meggy gets brought back to life just so she can be subjected to a heavily modified version of Axol's role in the arc. Worse, because Zer0 needs a living host he goes all Frankenstein-style on her two-years-dead waterlogged corpse and fills in the gaps with some pirate bones he found, what little was left of Francis after he got Zucced and Super Blown Up, and a bit of his own code.
As a result, she's now 50% Human, 40% Inkling, 9% Chameleon, 1% SMG, has a little fragment of Francis's soul inside her own complete one, and is possessed by/fused with an eldritch abomination.
Since he can make use of Meggy and Francis's abilities, as well as a currently limited version of his own, Zer0 doesn't need to lure Wario in by forcing E. Gadd to make a bunch of Shreks and instead just attacks WarioWare Inc. directly. He is severely underestimating Wario and his friends so this still leads to the whole bunker thing.
Melony, Mario, Desti and Axol all manage to get inside "Eldritch Fraggy" during the final rap battle, and with four of them there instead of just one they actually manage to free her.
Once she's out there's more than just the Trauma to deal with. I mean for one thing she's still part lizard and has a piece of her worst enemy living rent-free in the very core of her Self, and that has Significant Effects.
Appearance-wise she's now about as tall as Luigi, she got patches of scales on different parts of her body, including a pair of ridges along wither side of her jawline and a light scattering of tiny ones across her nose where her mask should be that kind of look like green freckles. She also has a long, semi-prehensile tail that's a lot stronger than it looks, and a long sticky tongue like a Yoshi's. And she can turn invisible.
Unfortunately having a bit of Francis in her has affected her personality, though not by very much. She now likes tech and (unfortunately) anime, though the latter is just a general appreciation rather that the full-on horrifying obsession Francis had, and she's picked up a couple of his mannerisms (the first time she realizes that she's called some cool gadget "High-Technicaaal" she nearly has an aneurism)
She's also picked up his poor eyesight, and she's in denial about needing glasses for a while.
Still decides to become a professional coach at least, because she's still mostly Meggy.
Moves in with the Mario Bros after everything blows over since she does need a place to stay, at least until she's no longer Legally Dead.

'Show me one time where he's genuinely a good person with good intentions, where selfishness, ego, and desire to survive and save the world so he can rule it isn't involved. There isn't any.' ehh, i don't know, id argue eggman saving tails in lost world counts. dude doesn't need tails to get past the yeti, only sonic. he yells 'tails!' to try and alert him and sounds generally concerned when doing so. He also makes the decision to save him in less than a second, meaning he didn't have time to weigh the pros and cons of saving one of his worst enemies, he just instinctively went to help him. mind you, this doesn't even contradict him threatening to turn tails into mincemeat in sa1, because as he explains, he's a complicated guy *shrug*. not trying to start any drama or anything, but i def believe there are a few stand out moments in game canon when eggmans 'human side' is shown that cant really be explained away without heavily reaching imo
I knew this could possibly be one of the moments someone could raise. But I have a response locked and loaded, I always account for everything and am ready to go lol. And I don't think it requires what I'd consider heavy reaching to explain away because I go by what can be seen/heard of game then carefully think about what it means while considering his character and what tracks with everything we know.
I see Eggman's save of Tails as calculated decision. There are a lot of benefits: Making the team up seem more genuine and convincing, winning Sonic over some more and possibly finally Tails after how hostile they were towards each other, the way the more is up against the D6, the better, and the way Sonic could possibly be less focused on the mission if he lost Tails. Also the bonus of how he'd prefer to kill both Sonic and Tails more personally than some random unplanned battle robot, just like Sonic falling into lava would've been underwhelming.
Eggman could see that he was starting to gain Sonic's reliability when he said that they need him to shut down his machine, while Tails wasn't happy about it and felt like Sonic trusted Eggman more. So if he jumps in and acts like a hero and saves Tails, it's going to help him seem more genuine and possibly win Tails over more too after their beef with each other. It makes sense for him to be prepared to act to seem convincing whatever it may be, even though he of course couldn't have predicted the modified robot to attack him.
I don't purely say this off vibes because when Sonic says "you could've gotten yourself killed" Eggman quickly smiles behind Sonic which makes him seem very suspicious I love it lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It looks sly and mischievous for a guy who just saved someone's life, it's not giving "he did it out of the goodness of his heart", more like "yes it's working, Sonic said he 'can't figure me out', I'm convincing >:)"
If you think it's not possible that he could've thought that fast to weigh pros and cons, he had the plan to betray Sonic and Tails the moment they got him past the Deadly Six and back to his machine and new Eggrobo all along. So I contextualize everything within this. That gives plenty of time to plan on trying to make his facade of a willingness to work with them without any tricks all the more convincing. This is why I feel that him jumping in to save Tails was more calculated than it appears at first watch.
Plus, we know he can think and act that fast anyway. Because in the Lava Mountain scene where he fakes his death, he was planning to do that the whole time and was prepared but he couldn't have expected for it to be kicked off by the Deadly Six breaking the bridge. Yet he was able to quickly act to save Sonic, so he could still keep the Zeti back while he went to reprogram the machine and he could destroy him himself with his new mech as planned.
Him suddenly thinking fast to save Sonic was for selfish and sinister self motivated reasons, and I think it makes a lot of sense for the same to apply to Tails.
Shrugging it off and saying he's just a complicated guy was also the perfect thing to say that wouldn't make it obvious that he was trying to convince them to keep him around. Because otherwise they would've likely realized it doesn't add up with how he was acting just a couple scenes ago when he said he thinks he "liked it better when [he] was trying to destroy [Tails]" If he dismisses it in such a casual way that can't be disproven, he's not trying too hard to convince them.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
But if you think parts of that are a little too speculative, though it does have a little something on screen and the context of why he's teaming up with them to support it, we can also go by how he visibly acts much more blatantly in the later cutscene at Silent Forest, when Tails falls into the trap.
Eggman has no reaction, he just stands and silently watches. Doesn't even have the slightest look of suprise or shock like the Frozen Factory Tails save cutscene, which makes the latter feel more performative of a response while he was right in front of Sonic.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He then gives Sonic a little speech while he's devastated to motivate him, so that he'll "make sure his sacrifice isn't for nothing", his sly way of saying "alright but you've still gotta help me, I'm not letting you get hung up on this" lol
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He needs to make sure Sonic won't lose focus of their mission and still work hard and not lose hope, so he can get him past the Zeti and betray him later.
And he just gives a little "eh whatever" shrug while Sonic isn't looking again. Much like how he grinned when Sonic wasn't looking in the other scene. Like when Sonic isn't looking, you see the real same old Eggman and how he really feels about both situations.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It's really funny how much he just doesn't even react or give a fuck in this scene lol. I think it really testifies against him really caring about Tails in his previous save considering this is the next cutscene he's even in.
It makes sense for the reasons behind the save is a combination of performing heroics to seem more reliable in this truce because he was planning to betray them the whole time, along with how he expected Sonic to lose focus of their mission and not perform as well if he was devastated by the loss of Tails. So when he couldn't save him this time, he brings out the little motivating speech since it's all he can do now.
Especially since the modified battle robot would've certainly resulted in Tails' death which of course would've had a heavy impact on Sonic and could've affected his performance, while they weren't sure what the Deadly Six were going to do with Tails though Eggman did think of it as like a "sacrifice". So I see that as explaining his earlier actions of the save.
Like this, I can't think of any others that I wouldn't also have an explanation for that tracks with the way he's selfish and self motivated. Lost World, to me, really seems like another prime example of that instead. I love Lost World Eggman and just how much there is to explore and consider about his actions, knowing that he was using them and was going to betray them the whole time.
Eggman does a have a human side and genuinely human moments in the series because being human isn't being a good person. There are many ways to be. Selfishness is very human too. He has a bunch of human traits and moments that remind us that he's human and none involve him being a genuinely good selfless or caring person because it's not required for him to be.
I haven't seen anything that people use as examples of him being a good person that I can't find reasons to argue against and they don't require any huge reaches or speculation as there are always scenes and dialogue to support my points, like the stuff I used here. The more I go back and reanalyze, I only find more to support them despite my open mind and neutrality looking into it.
I only see a pure evil villain with a funny side who is exclusively self motivated only acts for purely selfish reasons that personally benefit him. Which tracks with the kind of egotist and narcissist he is, it's the strong defining core of his character that influences his mindset, goals, and actions throughout the series consistently. There isn't any scene where I can see any exceptions to this.
I encourage you to have your own take and disagree so we can have a discussion like this though. I understand you're not trying to start drama and respect your perspective, I'm interested to see and discuss and share my thoughts. I understand what it's like for people think it's your intention though, it sucks. This is always a chill space to agree or disagree as long as you're chill about it too. 🤝

I know that many fans are going with the whole "oh boy Prime 4 is gonna take place after Super Metroid or even after Dread, because in the trailer it says it's the year 20X9, when Super took place in 20X7!!!"
Yeah....no
First off: it can't be after Dread. If it were, then Samus' suit should feature some of its post Fusion Metroidy elements, like the more angular visor shape or the three nuclei on the back, which are not a result of Federation tampering but rather a result of the suit modifying itself to reflect Samus' changes in biology. So it's absolutely not after Fusion and Dread
About Super: that 20X7 date comes from an obscure Japan-only commercial. It is nowhere to be found in the game proper or any other material as far as I know at least, as such I think it's much safer to assume that it has been either retconned or hasn't been canon for years. Generally speaking whatever is shown in the games should generally take absolute precedence over anything else, including external materials because this isn't the first time something like this has happened: some of the extra materials for Samus Returns stated that the game took place right after Zero Mission, which would imply that the Prime games are not canon, except the game itself doesn't agree with that by virtue of Proteus Ridley, so someone in marketing may have fucked up there. When the Prime Trilogy came out it had a big art booklet with a timeline which, at one point, stated that planet Zebes blew up following Samus' first mission which no, that's flat out wrong and would make Super impossible, so somebody must've been sleeping on the keyboard while typing that
Think about it: we see Mochtroids being used by Sylux which, yeah they're from Super, but he almost certainly cloned them from that Metroid he stole at the end of Federation Force, meaning that that Metroid should still be alive most likely in order to produce more Mochtroids from it. The idea of there still being a living Metroid after the events of Super would...kinda undermine the Baby's death at the end of Super and the fact that all of the succeeding games revolved around villanous factions trying and failing at reviving the species...all the while Sylux was chilling with a stolen Metroid?
Think about it: that theft could NOT have gone unnoticed so by that virtue how the hell could the Federation and Samus deem the species extinct after Metroid 2, save for "the Last Metroid"? When they should know very well they had one infant stolen a while back with its whereabouts still unknown until now?
And above all else: the Prime series got put in between Metroid 1 and 2 partly as a way to allow the devs of both subseries to do their own thing without stepping on each other's toes. These games are being developed by two very different teams at the same time at all times, by putting the two sides of the franchise into two concise chronological spaces they are allowed to freely write their story while only having to be generally careful about continuity. If they started mixing up the games then they'd run the risk of contradicting each other and having to do last minute rewrites. Imagine if Prime 4 really DID take place after Dread, but in the meanwhile a Metroid 6 is being made and its writers suddenly realise that their story perhaps heavily focused on the lack of Metroids in the universe post-Super suddenly doesn't make much sense because Sylux has them in Prime 4: they'd have to go back to the drawing board, which depending on how far the game would be in development, may not even be fully possible, it could create a mess! The two teams would have to be in constant communication and be chained at each other, and that's an ideal environment for creative differences to clash and create issues. Remember the whole mess with the origins of the Metroid Prime in the first game, which was likely caused by the devs only learning later in the development that the game was going to take place between Metroid 1 and 2 and not its own universe?
For as much as the fans would love for the two subseries to connect more frequently, from a practical point of view, it's best if they stay canon to each other but also chronologically distant

Tumblr media
𝐈 even though my Rukia is mostly manga based, I will cherry pick some elements from anime that I like. It's been a very long time since I have watched it, especially fillers that I'm not really found of. When it comes to timeline she's set in, it's post TYBW while she's still Lieutenant. I can also adapt to any other timeline when requested or if I make a notice of it.
𝐈𝐈 do NOT bother me with shipping or anything romantic, as it's already written, I am a non-shipper.
𝐈𝐈𝐈 please don't fret to always bother me with a random starter or a question, hence I encourage you to come to my DMs for plot!
𝐈𝐕 do not steal my graphics, my Chappy art or copy paste my ideas. Everything you see here is crafted by me, of course, Tite Kubo as the main source I draw ideas from.
𝐕 still new around this place even though this account was made ages ago, so I hope you will have patience with me until I fix everything that must be fixed— and also I appreciate those who don't mind my replying timing.

I MADE A RISE AU
Tumblr media
the silly tortles
so!! in this au Yoshi was a famous musician rather than a movie star!! he passed his love for music onto his children, and is much more appreciative of all forms of art than in canon.(though he still thinks music is the best and most legitimate cough cough)
close ups of the boys!
Donnie(any pronouns)
Tumblr media
i'm so sorry for the low quality aurgkuetg but! Donnie plays the piano! he is still very into tech, but their stuff and look is based a bit more on a piano because that's what the famous Hamato Yoshi played! wow!! but she truly wishes to play the drums because autism(/j please don't harass me)!!
next boy!
Mikey(any pronouns)
Tumblr media
Mikey plays the (heavily modified) flute! While they love the instrument, it's just not enough for him. She needs the big guns! the bari sax!! did i mention all of them are very into jazz??
next boy!
Leo(he/him)
Tumblr media
he's such a creature
anyways, Leo plays the trumpet! yes he's totally the asshole trumpet stereotype and i love/hate him for it. he loves the trumpet, but the music doesn't hit him in the feels, give him the jazz vibes! ignore his vanilla design ayuktghatg
next boy!
Raph(he/she/just Raph[ael])
Tumblr media
i love her so much he is my life
yes those are little eyelashes!! alligator snapping turtles have little eyelash thingies and i love them for it<3
Raph plays the tuba, but the trombone is where his heart lies, she live laugh loves trombones
more details!
Splinter, while being a bit more accepting of who they are and how they express themselves, is still a bit stubborn. he won't let them all switch instruments until they master the ones they have. unfortunately, they inherited his stubbornness and refuse to practice their instruments until they're allowed to play the ones they want to play. this is a terrible stand-off and the boys partially lose anyways
they eventually find some strange vibey instruments(similar to the ones they already have) in Draxum's lab and take them home to mess with, and they find out the instruments are mystical! THAT'S RIGHT BABEY THEY'RE FUCKING BARDS WOOHOOOOO
eventually they learn to harness the
magic
and can make their funky instruments on their own! (they can still technically make the stuff they do in canon but they don't know anything but basic self-defense and would die with a weapon in their hands)
also the funky doodles

hope you love them as much as i do!!

Song of the Sea: Chapter 5: Starlight
Tumblr media
Chapter warning: mind control, dead body, profanity, Series warning: explicit smut, alien anatomy (it's a monsterfucker fic, guys), major character injury, grief, canon typical violence, autistic meltdowns, and my terrible attempts at Mando'a
Previous chapter:
Next Chapter:
Tech had been gone a long time. They'd been on missions, back to back, and Shiani tried to be understanding but the wait between comm calls was agonizing. He'd told her when he'd left last that he'd come see her immediately when he returned, but she'd seen his heavily modified ship just a few days ago come in and leave in the span of a few hours.
Tech never lied to Shiani. There had to be a reason for the sudden departure without a word or even comm, but it still stung slightly. She wasn’t so immature as to blame him for it, since he had a duty to attend first. Still, when she saw the Havoc Marauder docking again only a day after it last left she didn't feel like being patient and waiting for him to call for her. This was as good a time as any to face her fears about the hangar bay, and since his batch knew about her she could just slip onto the ship to spend some time with them all. She’d surprise him, and maybe he’d let her look at the engine up close so she could recreate it.
She waited until the hangar was empty of regs, shifting her form and slipping on the pair of red cadet pants he'd given her months ago. She didn't hate wearing them as much as she used to, the rough fabric more bearable when it was dry, and he'd given her a waterproof bag to carry them plus a few tools in for her exploring. Once the coast was clear and the sounds of hangar crew faded, she put the backpack on and crept up into the hangar bay. It was a frightening experience, being so close to the long necks and the city, but she told herself the hanger was still outside so it didn't count.
Big, shiny ships were docked everywhere. She wanted to explore all of them too, but the risk of capture was too great. It wasn’t just her own life she gambled with if she was caught, but every siren in every city below. Longnecks had long memories and genetics technology at the time of the Great Flood, there had to be records. If anyone who’d seen them saw Shiani, the hunt could be on. She hadn’t given up her place among her people because she hated them, she couldn’t risk endangering them just because she was desperate to see the only friend they’d left her.
His ship, the heavily modified Omicron, was easy to find between the other models she’d learned to identify on sight. She settled behind some crates near it, curling her tentacles around herself and doing her best to be unobtrusive. No one was looking for her or at her, so she just waited.
Feels weird here. Felt weird for days… She fiddled with her own claws as she waited. There had been a lot of noise one night, sounds of blaster fire and yelling that quickly stifled itself. She'd been more than a little worried about it and the clones inside. They were just men, human men that were fragile and easily killed no matter how strong they were. They couldn't breathe underwater or squish themselves into convenient hidey-holes like she could. They didn't have suction cups to climb or fangs and claws to defend themselves. Without their tools and blasters, they were vulnerable.
What if something up here was trying to hurt them? What if it tried to hurt Tech? She was willing to fight for him now, but the rules of engagement were so different above water. She couldn’t just throw herself at everything until she knew what was really an enemy and what was a circumstance she could solve with words. Sometimes she wondered if she’d fought her brother for Tech’s life years ago, if things would have been different. Maybe more clones would know sirens, and more friendships could bloom… The sirens could have helped the clones with the way the longnecks treated them. Tech would spare her details, usually engrossed in something else, but she knew there was a reason he thought of himself as expendable. And she didn’t like it.
She ducked a little lower when two regs carried a litter into the hangar and set it in the corner. "Just leave it here for now. They'll send a team for disposal." One was saying through his helmet. The other gave a quick motion, hand coming up to his head and back down. That’s what he calls a salute. That means the other is a superior officer.
When the regs had gone, Shiani inched over towards the litter. Tipoca city insisted on dumping its trash outside her front door, so if whatever this was turned out to be useful maybe she could save them the effort. It wouldn’t even have to get dented on it’s way down if she took it… it wasn’t stealing if they were throwing it away, right?
She pulled up the white sheet and almost screamed.
It was a togruta woman, full of blaster holes. Her face was frozen in a look of shock, body limp and cold with blood underneath her. By her orange hand was a cylinder, a hilt of a weapon Tech had shown Shiani pictures of at the same time she'd seen a holo of this exact togruta.
This was Jedi Master Shak Ti, who oversaw training on Kamino. Dead.
Shiani scrambled back, skin turning near white with terror. “Jedi are generals… friends.” She whispered to herself. Something was wrong, and all the shooting before… Had the regs killed the Jedi? Why would they?! Tech had told her countless times how much the clones respected the Jedi who led them. He’d had a glowing review of Generals Skywalker and Kenobi especially. This didn’t make sense… But now Tech’s concern the regs might hurt her was weighing heavily on her mind.
She had to get away from here, but if Tech was in trouble she had to help. Tech was too important to her… she raced back to her hiding place by his ship and shivered. Maybe she could comm him, Tech would have an explanation. He always had an explanation for her.
Shiani pulled up her comm, but instead of an answer she heard a buzz in the crate she was leaning on. She frowned, leaning up on her toes and doubling over the open top face first. Tech shouldn’t have been inside a box, but then again the entire trip up to the hangar had been confusing. If he was, she’d just have to pull him out and ask her questions directly.
It wasn't Tech, but it was his very distinct armor. Shiani frowned deeper, picking up his helmet. If he wasn't here…
She heard the hangar door open and scrunched down further inside the crate, closing her eyes. She was going to die, she was sure of it. "Quick, get your gear. We've got to go back for Crosshair." Someone said, and a half-heartbeat later Shiani recognized that the voice wasn't a reg. She’d heard it on recording a dozen times, if never live. She’d never actually spoken to any of Tech’s brothers face to face, only signing through the glass. She only knew them through his recordings and stories.
Her head popped up immediately, laying eyes on the tattooed face of the Bad Batch's leader. "Hunter sergeant?"
He jumped, pointing a blaster at her reflexively. "Shit! Shiani?"
Shiani nodded vigorously. "Came to find Tech, but I found a dead Jedi." She whispered.
A hand behind her scooped Tech's helmet from her hands. "You should not have come to the surface. You could be killed." It was Tech, in just his blacks, giving her a stern look. She wilted a little.
"I got worried. Heard blasters a few days ago, and then you didn’t comm when you landed…"
Tech sighed and helped her out of the crate. "This is extremely dangerous. We just escaped from a cell, and Crosshair was taken away. We must find him, and get off Kamino immediately."
Shiani nodded. "I can help."
"Do you know how to fire a blaster?" Hunter grumbled, racing to get his gear on.
"I know how to strangle." Shiani shrugged, looking around. Wrecker was dressing in a hurry too, searching for something in the crates. Next to him, looking lost, was a small blonde girl. Shiani leaned over her curiously. "Baby?"
"I'm Omega, miss…"
"Baby Mega." Shiani nodded, wrapping a tentacle around her. "Don’t be scared. I’ll keep you safe, I’m Tech’s friend."
"Tech, get the ship going. Wrecker, Echo, and I will go back for-" Hunter started, until the doors opened again. A group of regs, led by a figure in black armor, stepped out.
Shiani flinched as a sick feeling hit the pit of her stomach, and she pushed little Omega behind her. "Crosshair found us."
"Give it up, Hunter." The sniper drawled, and there was something not right about the energy around him. Or the way he was looking at the gathered group. "You know I never miss."
"We're going to have to leave him." Hunter whispered. "He's too far gone."
"He will pick us off before we can get into the ship." Tech hissed back as they scrambled for cover.
Shiani peeked hesitantly over the edge of a crate. "About how long will you need to get the ship started?" She whispered. He was going to leave, and she was scared she'd never see him again. But he had to make it, because if she saw him limp and broken like the dead Jedi… it would be worse than just dying. Tech was her best friend. He was the only good thing on this planet, and if she had to give him up to keep him alive then she’d do it and die happy.
"About 45 seconds, but he will close the hangar doors before we can make it out." Tech frowned. "Why?"
Shiani picked up a discarded reg helmet with her tentacle. "I can make a distraction."
"You will be killed." He groaned. "Just keep your head down."
Shiani scrunched her face at him. "Hunter sergeant? Break that hangar door." She hissed, before hopping up and hurtling the helmet as hard as she could. Directly at Crosshair’s face.
Hunter took the cue and shot the door controls, forcing the hangar back open. The flying helmet required Crosshair to bail out of the way unless he wanted to be decapitated, and Tech made a break for the ship. Hunter grabbed Omega under his arm like a duraboard cutout and followed, Wrecker was unlucky enough to take a shot to the shoulder before he could get inside. Shiani froze for a split second as the sniper leveled his blaster on her.
"That was a cute trick, squid. Your last one." He sneered.
"Shiani!"
Tech was yelling her name from inside the moving ship, running to the ramp as Echo got them accelerating out of the hangar. She looked at the sniper, then slung two sucker-studded limbs against the Havoc Marauder.
When his shot hit where she'd been standing, she was already airborne and slithering up the ramp.
"Son of a bitch!"
Tumblr media
Hunter was rubbing the bridge of his nose hard, looking like the galaxy was going to crush him. Echo was bandaging Wrecker’s shoulder, now that they were in hyperspace and out of the line of fire. Tech was seated in one of the deck chairs, leg bouncing, as Omega squished herself closer to Hunter.
"That was reckless, Shiani. He could have shot you." Hunter finally said.
Shiani, who'd been nervously huddled by the ramp access, looked down. "Sorry.." She whispered. "Just… wanted to help."
"You are not much help if you are dead." Tech shook his head.
"Go easy on her. She saved our asses with that bucket chuck." Wrecker, much more agreeable, smiled for a minute before wincing. "Ow, Echo!"
"Nobody told you to get shot." The corporal huffed. "But… he's right, Hunter."
Hunter groaned. "Yeah, yeah. Look, Shiani. If you're going to stay with us, you've got to understand something. We're soldiers, you're a civilian. You follow instructions from now on. Deal?"
Shiani peeked up. "I can stay?"
"We're not just going to dump you off somewhere." Echo assured her. "But we're traitors to the Empire now. It's a dangerous new galaxy."
Shiani nodded. "I didn’t know the old one, really. At least I’ll only have to learn one set of rules…"
Hunter snorted, but it hid a small smile. "Since he's known you longer, Tech's your new buddy. You listen to him. He listens to me and Echo. Got it?"
The siren nodded. "I like listening to Tech."
The bedraggled sergeant sighed. "Come on, let's figure out where we're going… we need to disappear."
Tech nodded. "Then I suggest Salucemi."
Hunter nodded. "Set the nav. Wrecker, go lay down. Echo, you and I will check the supplies… and find Omega a place to sleep."
They split up, Omega giving Wrecker his back stuffed tooka doll she'd been holding.
Shiani sat on the floor a little longer before getting to her feet and wobbling her way to the cockpit after Tech.
He was sitting in the pilot's seat, his brow wrinkled with thought for a long time while the siren looked at him. "Yes?" he finally sighed.
"Are you mad?" She looked at her bare feet on the durasteel floor, shuffling a little.
"I am frustrated, yes."
"At me?"
He blinked, turning his chair to look at her. Her coloring was dull, hands fidgeting in front of her and tentacles squirming like she didn't know what to do with them. "Why would you believe I am angry with you?"
"You told me to keep my head down, and I didn’t listen."
Tech sighed. "No, my frustration is not because of you." He softened his voice a little, since she looked about ready to bolt. "It is just a… infuriating situation. The Empire, and with Crosshair."
"What happened to him? He didn’t… feel right. Something was wrong with him, it was in his eyes."
Tech nodded. "When we were imprisoned, Omega told us that there are inhibitor chips in the brains of all clones. For unknown reasons, none of ours activated. The regs, and Crosshair’s, did."
"Is that why the regs killed Shak Ti?" She got a little closer, getting back down on the floor next to his chair and resting her head on the armrest to look up at him.
"Yes, and apparently the rest of the Jedi all over the galaxy. I am sorry you had to see that. I'm sure it was very upsetting."
"I was scared I’d find you dead too." She mumbled. "Glad you’re safe."
"Yes, I am unharmed. And I am grateful you are as well." He smiled as one of her head tentacles wrapped around his vambrace, leaving puckers on his armor. She was trying so hard not to overstep how much she wanted to snuggle into his side. It had been a frightening situation, and she wasn’t a soldier. He was actually impressed with how well she’d held it together so far. "This was not how I intended to show you the stars."
Shiani tore her eyes away from his face to look at the streaking lights through the windshield, smiling a little at last. "They still look perfect." She whispered. "Glad you showed me, no matter how it happened."
"There is much more to see." He murmured. "Though, I will need to get you some proper boots, and a shirt that will not dry and fall off you."
Shiani groaned. "More clothes."
"Unless you wish for all my brothers to see you topless?"
She huffed, headbutting his arm like a grumpy tooka kitten. "Fine. I’ll wear it, but don’t laugh at me if I look silly."
"I would not dream of it."

currently still writing up verses but they will also develop over time ! i am super easy going and open! obvs I used to write other characters before but bc my focus and heart is so strongly indulged with wanda and billy rn, i wanna develop them instead and so I will always encourage other fandoms to write with ,
building verses and creating these stories and headcanons for both wanda and billy in a different environments and lore is also super fun and fascinating for me , and if anything, helps me interpret their voices MORE & MORE so I’ll definitely make sure to let you guys know when i have at least written a blurb and list of them !
as of right now, here are the current rundown :
general and immediate interactions are uncategorised / unplotted at first and will - always be comic voice and portrayal , heavily headcanon based
MCU INVOLVEMENT & REFERENCES .
ref 001. age of ultron , avengers and civil war canon timeline : heavily headcanoned and modified to fit wanda’s voice from comics as an avenger .
ref 002. multiverse of madness and wandavision canon timeline : better fit of wanda’s portrayal , flexibility in implementing moments and references through interactions and plotted/conversation of/during thread . she is alive.
ref 003. own headcanon in connection with agatha all along : mostly interactions with aaa characters and plotted during thread . in my headcanon , she is alive. and have travelled through different multiverse (more on this later) , she hears of the events that occurred at westview and of Billy’s re-incarnation and is set post multiverse of madness .
OUT OF MARVEL .
TVD LORE. divine rage beyond great magick : keeping her witch lore of becoming + being a prophecy of chaos magic . she is covenless , in her mid 20s . she is aware / familiar of the original family and the bennetts (unless plotted otherwise) and knows about all of the supernatural world , stumbling upon and temporarily resides mystic falls . ( THIS IS HEAVILY VIA INTERACTION OR PLOT DEPENDANT IF WRITTEN SPECIFICALLY SET WITH TVD + ORIGINALS & . unless stated otherwise or i feel it best fit in the moment of when i write it . when I tag it, its most likely to be )
TEEN WOLF LORE . developing
WITCH LORE . writing / developing there is to be no reference of the scarlet witch and just focuses on general witchcraft supernatural , will use mostly with both tvd and teen wolf when not plotted , and for ocs mostly + other fandoms that want to try out of marvel canon , more to come
