Phantom Thieves play a farming/life simulator game with S/O

Note: purely self-indulgent... my friends and i booted up stardew valley again so have this . .. i mainly have stardew in mind while writing, so the mechanics will be reflecting that ehe no sumi yet! i have no idea how to write her yet </3 but i am currently playing through p5r so i might add her later!

Akiren

Ahh... he enjoys this game very much. Being somewhere peaceful and quiet AND alone with you? Perhaps a dream come true! As soon as the game is loaded, he starts planting the first few seeds he receives, and then proceeds to forage for things he could sell. When he finds a few flowers, he will give them to you and will pout if you don't accept them.

"You need to meet the people in town!" you tell him as he tries to give you the flower again.

"Why? I already have you. I do not need anyone else."

Definitely the type to do most things with you. You are planting crops? He will water them. You are petting the chickens? He will feed them. You are fishing on the beach? He is right beside you, doing the same. You are going to the mines? He defends you from the mobs while you mine away. He genuinely enjoys being with you all the time (even if in this case, its in a video game).

Enjoys playing househusband as well, should you advance that far in the game, and will be the type to seriously think about the names of your children (in the game). Once the house is upgraded, and there is a kitchen, he now has another purpose. The type to collect recipes and cook, going around town giving dishes to the townspeople. The type to send you off with your 'lunch' and a "Take care! The kids and I will be waiting for you."

Ryuji

Probably giddy the first time you suggest playing the game. He will gladly agree, of course! The only thing though, he does not find the farm work to be entertaining, so you will have to do that. He does not mind taking care of the livestock though! As soon as the game starts, he'd probably hand you the seeds and go foraging instead. Probably the kind to always make sure to have something to sell at the end of the day.

He enjoys going to the mines, and so he is mainly in-charge of the upgrades. Will tend to give you a few pretty stones and/or artifacts he finds. Also the kind to 'unlock' things, such as new areas or new mechanics. He would probably go for achievements, but he's not really a completionist. More so does certain things for its benefits.

"Ryuji, I need a few earth crystals for the mayonnaise makers," you tell him as you were rearranging a few things in your farm.

"Alright babe! I also got you a diamond, by the way!"

He also tries to make your life easier while playing the game, such as letting you upgrade your backpack first, exchanges tools with you when he upgrades so that you have the better quality, and puts torches every where so you do not get lost. Will probably be blushing the whole time while you guys get married, and when you decide to have kids (in-game).

Ann

The game is so cute! Yes, she will gladly play with you! When you first boot up the game, she is a little bit overwhelmed because there are so many things to do, but she will most likely look at the journal/tasks as a guide for things to do. She does not mind doing a little bit of everything, but she mainly enjoys taking care of the livestock. She also likes designing the layout for both the farmland and the inside of the house.

"Oh my gosh! Can I buy the chickens for our coop? Our first children!" Ann gushes, having just finished up the fencing for the said coop.

"Sure, just do not forget to buy food for them as well!"

Once you guys have reached the stage where you are living comfortably, she will try to befriend everyone! Extra resources she have will be given to the townspeople, curious for the lore and a few character backstories. As for the romanceables, she asks for your permission to befriend them beforehand. It's honestly adorable.

When you guys get married, she will dress up accordingly. She is giggling the whole time, and will whisper an 'I love you' to you at the end. When you decide to have kids, she's a bit disappointed that they do not grow up. She finds it fun to put different hats on them, though!

Yusuke

He is a bit clueless at first, and will need you to guide him through most of the things. Once he gets the hang of it though, he will enjoy it. He really likes the background music and the art of the game so those are plus points for him. He tends to forget the farm chores though, as he will usually go to town to interact with different characters and see their stories.

If you let him be in-charge of the farm layout, it will be a beautiful farm guaranteed; even with just the use of flowers, crops, and some tall grasses. He asks that you do not touch it though, so you have two farms. One for profit, and one for whatever Yusuke decides it to be. He rarely goes to the mine, and almost never goes unless you invite him so you are in-charge of upgrading your tools. You, however, task him with buying things needed for the farm such as hay, seeds, etc. He accidentally bought 99 pieces of the wrong thing once though, and he apologized profusely afterwards.

"You bought 99 heaters?!"

"It was beside the hay, my love, I realized too late." Yusuke genuinely sounded apologetic, and you assured him that it was fine.

When you get married, he will give you a bunch of flowers he grew on the farm. He also tends to have a surprise for you every once in a while, like maybe an item he got while exploring, or rearranging your furniture. If you decide to have children, he diligently checks on them and does not want to leave them alone on the farm. You try to tell him it does not make a difference, but he refuses to leave them all by themselves.

Makoto

Another one who is a bit clueless. After watching a bit from you, she starts to learn though. You divide up the chores between yourselves, so that you get equal experiences. Also the one to fulfill all the side quests, even in-game she likes helping people. She finds the game as a good stress relief, given as it has a calming background music and cute art. Also enjoys exploring every new thing together.

"Makoto, will you be my partner for the festival?"

"Y-you don't need to ask. My answer is always yes."

She also likes the combat system, and will visit the mines sometimes. A casual player, she allows you to play even without her. Given that she is a very busy person, she's fine even with just updates on what is going on in the farm currently. Despite this, she somehow remembers which crops/products are the most profitable and encourages you to sell those instead.

If you decide to get married in-game, she is red in the face while the sequence is happening. She might also come back more frequently now, can't let her spouse do all the work on the farm by themselves now, eh?

Futaba

She is probably the one to initiate asking. She has played the game before, and wants to try playing with you as well. Will also probably play the game with a few mods, just to spice it up a little bit. As soon as the game loads, she plants the given seeds and goes to town to greet the people. An absolute completionist for achievements. Might play the game even if you are not online. The kind of player to advance ahead, just so she can help you later on. Despite this, she asks for your input in most things as she really likes including you in the decision-making.

"Should I put the coop near our crops so it's easier for you to navigate?" Futaba asks while she layouts the farm.

"Yes please!"

She keeps a mental list of the things she needs to do, and knows exactly what exact conditions are needed to unlock a certain thing, or the requirements to a certain event. So if you ever find yourself stuck, feel free to ask her! She also does a little bit of everything, therefore her stats are really balanced.

Married or not, she gives you an item every day. She says its a 'power-up', so you will have an easier time doing your tasks. Also, your cat's name is Morgana. She says you guys are one big family over here.

Haru

Yes! It did not take much convincing, honestly. She does not mind being completely in-charge of the crops. She tends to do a few tasks from-time-to-time, though. Especially tasks related to crops, such as bringing a cabbage to a certain person in town. She very much likes the combat system, sure it's a little simple, but she loves it. Sometimes goes to the mines just for it. Not to get an ore, but just to battle.

She gives you flowers, sometimes from foraging, and some she grew on the farm. She studies which crops are the best to grow to ensure profit and also which ones you can eat for HP and fatigue, both for when you or she goes to the mines. She might drop a few fun facts about some of the plants, too.

She is a very casual player, playing for the vibes and also as a bonding quality time with you. Thus, she likes when you ask her to do stuff with you, such as visiting another island together, or going to the mines together. When you get married, she finds it cute that the whole town attended. And to be honest... this game is giving her ideas.

"What if we start a farm that could supply our café?" Haru asks you one night.

"H-Haru! Let us focus on graduating first... "

Goro

A little hesitant to play, but he ends up playing nonetheless. He is a little bit unsure on what to do, so he ends up mimicking whatever it is you do. While he ends up enjoying the game, he will only play when you are online. If he has prior commitments, he lets you play but does not want you to play special events without him.

"Goro~ the festival tomorrow requires me having a partner. Can I ask one of the townspeople instead?"

"No. Do not even think about it. Wait for me," he leaves no room for discussion.

He also likes dividing the chores between you two, so you both get equal benefits. He likes exploring with you, but when he is not with you he is mining purely for the combat. If you ever need monster drops, he probably has a lot in his inventory. Will also redecorate your house a bit, and admittedly he likes the idea of living with you a little too much. Even if it is in-game. He is most definitely not remembering how you designed the house for later references.

He also really enjoyed watching the wedding sequence with you. Maybe one day, you can run away with him and live a peaceful life tending a farm instead? Would you say yes? Maybe it is not too late to start anew somewhere.

Persona 5 AU

Ok, here it is!

This is going from the beginning of the au to izuku’s persona awakening

Cw: Mental breakdown mention

In this AU, izuku doesn’t meet all-might

He heads straight home, and All-Might catches the sludge on his own

He only gets through a week at aldera before having a stress-induced mental breakdown

Just…constant bullying, mixed in with ruminating on Bakugo’s taunt is what caused it

Izuku spends 2-3 weeks in a children’s hospital recuperating and floating in and out of awareness

Even after he’s discharged, he still has those moments

He decides not to go back to aldera, as the mere thought makes him want to vomit

(The kids there cheer when that’s revealed, but Bakugo feels a twinge of guilt. He crushes it down.)

While at home, izuku notices a story about a teacher in Tokyo getting done-in by the “phantom thieves” while he was recuperating

He looks into it more, and finds the Phan-site

He falls into that rabbit hole HARD

He even begins posting a thread on who he thinks the phantom thieves are

Lots of people give their 2 cents; all in all, it’s a pretty popular thread

However, after Madarame is captured (which in this au takes place on may 23rd, since my version of Ren doesn’t like having stuff hang over him for too long) is when izuku decides to truly take action

He begs his mom to let him live in Tokyo and attend middle school there

She, obviously, doesn’t want him to go at first, but after heavy promises of calling her every night, and making sure he always has something on his person to defend himself, and most importantly, tell her if he’s getting bullied, she relents

He gets an apartment in akihabara and attends middle school there (it’s ok there, most kids there don’t hate him on sight for his lack of quirk, so that’s a plus)

He keeps investigating, and gets confronted in a pm by Mishima to hey, could you not

Izuku wants to know why, but Mishima gives no actual answer, and instead bans him for a few days and deletes the thread

While sulking, he gets a pm from somebody named Alibaba

Alibaba lurked around the site, and took an interest in izuku’s thread to discover the phantom thieves

They’ll lend their services, but on 1 condition: whatever izuku finds, Alibaba gets to know first

Around June 11th, he goes to Leblanc (since his mom recommended it for the food, and to meet an old friend)

There he makes quick friends with sojiro, and they discuss his mom

Context: Inko was a famous lawyer who was a prodigy in keeping innocent people from facing unjust punishments. She met Sojiro and Wakaba while at a cafe and the three of them became good friends

However, there was a massive political scandal that Inko was on the “wrong” side of (in reality, Shido didn’t like how close she was to discovering his Cabal, so he set that scandal up to discredit her)

What didn’t help matters was the fact that she supported Toranosuke Yoshida in that year’s election, who himself had been involved in a scandal a few years earlier

So she left, disgraced, met Hisashi, and had izuku

Anyway, Sojiro’s charge and his friends enter, ready for some yummy hotpot

Izuku & them banter a bit, and Mona gets pets from izuku

He leaves, and asks Alibaba to look into Ren Amamiya and his friends, as well as the Kamoshida case

Something about that friend group seems weird…

They comply, and by June 13th, he’s got school records and such, and an unredacted version of the Kamoshida case

The student that started Kamoshida’s downfall, Shiho Suzui, was a girl on the volleyball team who’d been M*l*st*d by the teacher

Her best friend? Ann Takamaki, who, along with Suzui, seemed to be a target of harassment by kamoshida, and both went to middle school with Ryuji Sakamoto

Sakamoto himself had assaulted Kamoshida in his first year, earning both a limp and the track team’s disbandment

Ryuji and Ren had been late to their first day of second year, which was a mark on their reports

Looking at it from a certain point of view, it seems like Ann & Ryuji had a vendetta, and dragged Ren into it

On the other hand, Yusuke Kitagawa from Kosei didn’t seem like he had any involvement, at least until Izuku reads that Kitagawa was Madarame’s pupil

The pieces click together, and Izuku, in order to confirm his suspicion, hangs out at Leblanc more often

(This is by June 15th btw)

He also follows them around to catch them in the act

On the 26th, he manages to catch them going into Kaneshiro’s palace

He gets swept up in it, and appears in the cognitive Shibuya

He follows the Thieves into the actual palace (later, when asked how the hell he got up there, he’d shrug and say “I’m not really sure myself”)

Ends up getting captured and brought to shadow Kaneshiro

They banter a bit, with him accidentally revealing both his surname and his quirklessness, and Kaneshiro taunts the thieves by saying he’ll execute this weird green kid that showed up

The thieves make it to where Kaneshiro & Izuku are, and a whole interaction takes place where the context from earlier pops up

Kaneshiro tells the story of inko, and muses about just how much money her son would fetch on the black market, even willing to cancel Makoto’s debt

They say no, obvi, and the shadow says things about how quirkless are only useful for whatever price they can fetch (they are quite rare, after all, and many rich people might want one or two around, for servants that can’t fight back), and any other thing they want to pursue is just delaying the inevitable

Izuku has his shut up, Hannibal! Moment, and awakens his persona: John Constantine

In The Works // Ryuji Sakamoto x Reader - Chapter 8

prologue , 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , 5 , 6 , 7 The events that follow after that day seem like a whirlwind to you. From Shiho’s… suicide attempt, to almost getting expelled by Kamoshida. Ryuji had begun to become more distant leading up to Kamoshida’s public apology and confession to the entire school, Ann being of no help as to what the hell was going on either. No matter how many times you asked, you never got a real answer, and hadn’t been back to whatever that castle prison was.

It was now after school, a few weeks after Kamoshida had officially been removed from his duties at Shujin High, and Ryuji was treating you to ramen as an apology for leaving you alone for so long. But… you still couldn’t get the reason why he was gone and the reason why he was even treating you in the first place out of your mind. You weren’t as hungry as you would be any other day. Ryuji was at least honest with you, but this time you didn’t feel like you could wait any longer for him to tell you the truth.

As you walked to the ramen restaurant you remained silent, an inner turmoil of whether or not to just ask him eating away at you. The last time you had asked Ryuji was right after the first and only time you were at the castle a few days after, the look on his face preventing you from prodding any further. However, Ryuji had promised to talk with you about what was bothering him and vice versa. You could tell the entire past month had stressed him out, but never was clued in on as to what was causing it outside of (obviously) Kamoshida. Not being able to do anything but wait and watch from the outside bothered you to no end, Shiho finally waking up at the hospital being one of the few positive moments in your turmoil.

“You should see your face…” Shiho had quietly teased, her slightly upturned lips not meeting her eyes. “You didn’t have to come all this way.”

“I wanted to.” You reach out to hold her hand, a small relieved sigh escaping you when she didn’t flinch away this time. “How are you feeling?”

“I’m better… Ann’s been visiting too so it’s not as lonely. I hate being stuffed in this hospital.” You say nothing as she continues talking about her day, also telling you that she’ll be transferring out of Shujin. You couldn’t blame her, she deserved to thrive in a new environment; it wouldn’t change you being friends with her.

“...___? ___?” 

Ryuji’s voice breaks you out of your thoughts, jaw unclenching instinctively. You blink twice at him before finally speaking, your voice softer than you expected.

“What?”

“We’re here.” Ryuji gestures to the front of the ramen place, his hand coming to gently move you to the side so others behind you could go in. You ignore the tingles his hand on your waist gave you. “Something up? You’ve been quiet the whole way here.” You avoid eye contact after seeing the frown tugging at his lips. 

“I…” Screw it. You had to know. “Could we go sit over there? Something’s been on my mind for a while.” You already begin to walk to the park conveniently nearby, not too far, but not too close to the point that you wouldn’t have privacy. You sit down on a bench underneath one of the many tall trees, children and pets alike running around further down the park, hands held together in your lap. Ryuji wasn’t too far behind, sitting down next to you and turning to look at you expectantly. 

“Look…” You start, eyes still on the hands in your lap. “I know something’s been up lately, and I know you don’t want me involved for some reason, but I can’t just sit here and not do anything. I could see how much it stressed you out.”

You lift your gaze up, making eye contact with Ryuji. He had a rare unreadable expression on his face, silent as you continued on. “I just… please. You know I can keep a secret.” You attempt to joke.

Ryuji’s lips curve up the slightest before he lets out a sigh, stretching his legs out before returning his gaze back to you. “I.. fine.” He looks around before scooting closer to you. “But this really has to be kept a secret, yeah? This is—this is serious.”

You nod silently, waiting for him to speak. Ryuji takes a few moments to think about what he’s going to say, eyes averted to the side.

“Well, Kamo-shit-a… he was a bigger piece of shit than we thought, to say the least. He..he used to beat and manipulate students. Everyone stayed quiet about it. Everyone. That’s why Shiho... attempted suicide.” Your face contorted into shock, thoughts instantly flashing to the few times you’d see Shiho in the school hallways, bruises she’d always dismissed as from practice. You knew Kamoshida was the reason it had happened, but you hadn’t known exactly his involvement. Shiho hadn’t wanted to elaborate to you any further besides that, but rightfully so. You couldn’t even imagine what she must have been through, anything even more cruel on the scale than him breaking Ryuji’s leg. You could feel the anger in Ryuji’s voice as he continued. You were unsure whether or not to lend a comforting hand, choosing to wait until he finished before doing anything.

“It’s really complicated but… when someone like Kamo-shit-a has a warped or strong perception like he did with Shujin and the power he had, places like that castle you saw show up. It’s different from the real world. We call it the Metaverse.”

You nod slowly. You had a hunch the Kamoshida then was different when he hadn’t directly called any of you out the next day at school. But a whole new world? It sounded surreal. Ryuji continued.

“We were able to change the way he thought and acted in the real world by fighting the him in the Metaverse, to keep it short. That’s why he made that big announcement during that assembly after Shiho went to the hospital. Akira and I woulda been expelled otherwise for tryin’ to call that asshole out.”

“So… you guys were the ones that left that calling card everyone was talking about? The Phantom Thieves?” Ryuji nods at the question that quietly leaves past your lips. “I… wow.”

“Ann, too?” Ryuji nods again. You could only imagine how hectic the entire month must have been for them, how much was at stake, how much was hidden from you then. But you couldn’t be angry either. You only wish you could have been able to help in some way. Maybe now was the time you could.

“What are you guys going to do now?” You can’t help but ask. It may have been over with Kamoshida, but something told you this might not be a one time thing.

“We’re not sure. We were actually going to talk about it this weekend at Akira’s.” Ryuji leans back against the bench, arms going behind his head as he stared at the setting sky. “I… kinda want to help more people. Do what we can if we can.”

You nod, staying silent and watching the sunset with Ryuji. Eventually you get up and pat his shoulder, motioning back towards the ramen shop. “Still hungry?” A small smile tugs at your lips as Ryuji follows suit, walking with you.

After enjoying your ramen together, Ryuji chooses to walk you home, silent as you two walk out of the train station. The night is calm, the moon in the sky and the faint chirping of insects being enough to fill the lack of conversation between you. You were still thinking about what Ryuji had told you, unsure of how things would go once you met with the others. You didn’t know for a reason, and you were sure they were hoping to keep it that way. You knew overthinking the possibilities wasn’t going to do much, but you couldn’t help it. 

As you looked up to find something else to focus on, you realized you were already in front of your house, the gate a few steps away.

“Thanks for taking me home,” You say, breaking the silence that followed from leaving the ramen shop until now. You glance at Ryuji. “You didn’t have to.”

“I don’t mind,” he rubs his neck, eyes also looking away before focusing back on you. “It’s the least I could do after… y’know, keepin’ you in the dark for as long as I did.”

“You didn’t really have a choice.” You reply immediately. “I don’t blame you.”

Ryuji is at a loss for words, settling for nodding in response. “Goodnight then, ___.”

“No hard feelings.” You hesitate for a moment as you take a step towards him, blowing caution to the wind as you wrap your arms around him, heart racing. Ryuji smelled faintly of the ramen shop you had just left, and some cologne, the mix surprisingly calming for you. Oh god. You sigh. You were in deep.

Ryuji’s arms wrap around you just as tightly to your surprise, his chin on your shoulder. Maybe because he had really needed it. Ryuji sighs in return, warmth encapsulating your body against the cool night. 

“No hard feelings.”

CHAPTER SIXTEEN

"None of your business!"

Despite her protestation, Makoto couldn't seem to keep the grin off her face as she loitered around outside the haunted house ride. No matter how many times she had been badgered to enter, she had resisted; scary movies and things like that always stuck with her long after the initial "thrill", and she therefore stubbornly refused to be forced inside. The wait time had seemed best spent catching up with a friend.

"Girl, you keep ducking my questions," Eiko's voice tittered on the other end of the call. "You killed my relationship with Tsukasa, so the least you can do is let me feed off gossip!"

Smirking as she nibbled at the Jack Frost-shaped melon bread, she told her, "He was a host. You didn't have a real relationship; he was just using you for your money. Where's my 'thank you' for setting you straight?"

"I did thank you! But like, you also didn't find me a new boyfriend, either!" They both giggled for a few seconds. "So…"

"So?"

"Who are you on a date with? Still that Ren guy?"

"N-no," she said, grinning like a fool as she turned away - as if anyone were listening. They weren't. "And I never said I was on a 'date'. Stop living vicariously through me, it's not healthy."

Eiko's voice got higher and whinier. "You can't make meeee!"

"Maybe not, but there's nothing to live vicariously through. Besides, you're pretty and sweet, and funny. It won't take you that long to find someone. And in the meantime-"

"Yeah, yeah," she cut her off. "I know. I should be figuring out the rest of my life instead of just working in a maid cafe. But it is good money…"

Rolling her eyes, she hissed, "They don't have to be mutually exclusive! Just… figure it out while you work. And don't be afraid to love again."

"God… I mean, my judgment is obviously wack. You sure I shouldn't die an old maid? Pun intended."

"YES." Just then, Makoto spotted a wobbling figure and hurriedly said, "Oh, I gotta go. But I'll call you later, okay?"

"Who are you there with?! MAKO-CHAAAAN!" But she didn't answer her. Just thumbed the 'end call' button and turned back toward the incoming patient.

Sadayo Kawakami looked distinctly ill for having bragged so staunchly that she was going to be "just fine on her own" on the ride. She hung onto the railing near where Makoto had been waiting, taking a few deep breaths. "Oh… oh, I really regret that…"

"Hashtag yolo?" she asked bemusedly.

"Hash-what? Yo-low? You know I don't keep up with you kids and your silly internet lingo."

Makoto grinned wide and offered her bread to her girlfriend. After only a moment's hesitation, she took a big bite. "It's okay, doesn't really matter. Did you not enjoy yourself?"

"Well… it was fun and it wasn't, but there was a part at the end that really got me. So scary how their heads come off like that, floating all over the place!" She shivered and rubbed her arms, and they shared a little laugh. "But um… your choice of vacation spots was…"

"Was what?"

"Destinyland?! I already feel like a creep, taking a girl so much younger than me on a vacation, and you literally had me take you to a children's amusement park."

Holding up her index finger, she corrected, "It's a family theme park. Not just for kids. And I didn't make you do anything; I only suggested it because I had so much fun with my friends. Besides, you were the one who was so excited to finally take me somewhere now that I graduated."

"Yeah, yeah," she handwaved - literally waving her hand around and making Makoto giggle. "Then why didn't you invite the prosecutor if this is supposed to be for family? Hmmmm?"

"W-well, um… I think I've forced my poor sister to have to deal with my sexuality enough for one lifetime. Maybe it would be cruel to persist." Flashbacks of that ill-conceived lapdance haunted her, even now. Though she knew it was fairly harmless and she had only done it to prove a point, it was still distinctly un-familial and poor Sae had seemed a little more awkward around her ever since.

"Sure, sure. Still… I'm surprised you didn't ask your friends along. Didn't one of them get you these tickets?"

"Yes, my friend Haru. As for why they aren't with us… well, I wanted to spend a special day with my special friend. Aren't I allowed?"

Sadayo couldn't keep the huge grin from spreading. "Okay. Don't get me wrong, I'm more than glad to have my little Master all to myself. Just wondered why you chose this spot."

Instantly, Makoto's ears were turning red, and she started hiding her face behind her melon bread. "Stop that! You know it embarrasses me when you call me 'Master' - and besides, you quit that job!"

"I did," she giggled, locking arms with her. "But it's fun watching you get all ruffled about it."

"I'm not 'ruffled', I'm mortified. I do not want to be in charge of my girlfriend!"

The elder woman bit her lip and began to pet up and down Makoto's upper arm as they started strolling through the gathered crowds. Luckily, they had picked a day Destinyland was not incredibly busy, but neither was it a ghost town; too many people would have sucked all the fun out of the trip, but too few would have made their date that much more conspicuous. No matter how much they wanted to be out and proud, just enough of Japanese society still looked down upon lesbian relationships as 'immature' to make them uncomfortable; they simply didn't want a bunch of snide looks and whispering behind their backs. Maybe one day, things would be different.

"Maybe I want you to be in charge of me."

"What?! Stop saying things like that - you sound like you've been to Shinjuku."

"Nothing wrong with Shinjuku, you know; those are our people. I guess." Despite her words, now Sadayo looked a little worried.

"Oh… I know. And I've been there, and you're right; they're just people living different lives than we're used to knowing anything about. But I like figuring it out on our own."

Now Sadayo looked surprised. "You went to Shinjuku? Why?!"

Before she could answer, the conversation was suddenly shattered with an outcry of "HEY! MAKOOOTOOOO!"

At first, she felt a spike of fear that it was was Eiko, tracking her down like a bloodhound. Instead, she saw a pair of fluffy blonde pigtails bouncing over most of the heads in the crowd as they weaved toward their location.

"Ann?!"

"Hey!" the blue-eyed font of youthful excitement exclaimed as she came to a stop in front of them. "Wow, what are you guys doing here?! Are you on a date - is this a legit date?!"

"Shhh!" Miss Kawakami shushed her, cheeks rouging. "So this is the one you spilled the beans to…"

"I didn't! Well… I only told Ann so she could help me setup that nice evening we had together. Remember, your outfit? Plus she's one of my best friends, and she's also-"

"She's one of the former Thieves," she said in a much quieter voice. Makoto could see shock flicker across Ann's features but she didn't say anything right away. "Of course you trust them. I just wish you had filled me in as much as you filled her in."

Now Makoto looked just as embarrassed as she did regretful. "I… forgot?"

"A lot happened," Ann put in with a shrug, scratching the back of her neck. "So no duh you'd forget to mention it. You saw the whole thing, right, Kawakami-sensei? In Shibuya? We were fighting a literal god!"

"No, no, you misunderstand." Their teacher reached out to rest a hand on Ann's shoulder, smiling softly. "I'm not mad! Especially not about you saving us from that madman and the evil spirits pulling his strings." It seemed Kawakami had decided it was easier to think of them as 'evil spirits' being controlled by a megalomaniac than to fully absorb that the god in question had been doing its best to keep the entire population enslaved within their own complacency. Even Makoto herself wasn't sure how to feel about that, and she had a front-row seat to the near disaster. The Phantom Thieves had changed the heart of all of Japan and it barely made a difference, but at least they had hope for the future now.

Sadayo continued, pulling her from her self-reflection. "Anyway, I'll get over it. More like, I wish I knew so we could have been talking about it before now, and I could keep track of who we're 'out' to. That's all, I promise."

That made her flash one of her patented Takamaki megawatt smiles. "Really? I mean, I'm just some dumb girl in your class, you don't have to talk to me about anything."

"Ah, ah!" She held up an admonishing index finger, and both girls ducked their heads instinctively. "You're a very important person in my girlfriend's life. That trumps your grades - which really aren't that bad, all things considered. Not compared to Sakamoto-kun's."

As they shared a laugh at Ryuji's expense, another figure pushed through the crowd to their sides. "There you are! I finally got our tapioca drinks and I turned around, and you were gone! Where… did you�� oh."

We were all still staring openly at the dark-haired girl as Ann smiled and took her drink, seemingly not noticing that the girl fell silent when she noticed they weren't alone. "Thanks. And I'm sorry I ran off - I didn't go that far! Just to say 'hi' to these guys."

"Suzui-san," Sadayo breathed in mild surprise. "It's… been a while. How are you?"

That higher-than-usual level of concern made sense. The last time Kawakami had seen Shiho Suzui, she had just jumped off the roof and was being escorted to the hospital in an ambulance. Now she almost looked back to her usual self, even if she seemed as sickly as she had before Coach Kamoshida's unwanted advances drove her to the suicide attempt.

"F-fine, Sensei," she answered haltingly, bowing politely. "I'm… sorry to interrupt."

"You're fine," Makoto told her warmly, keeping her smile small and polite. Trying to set her at ease.

"Yes, of course!" Sadayo joined in. "So you're here with Takamaki-san? That's good; I'm glad to see you're out and about. Really, I mean that; after that bastard… well, nevermind. Forget him."

Even while Shiho stared at the ground, starting to sink into her private pool of anxiety, Ann grabbed her by the arm and shook her just enough to jostle her out of it. "Yep! We're all about moving forward, remembering the good times and aiming for the future! Ain't that right?"

"Ann!" she whispered shyly, but at least she was starting to smile again. She had always been a bit mousy and meek around anyone who wasn't Ann; at least, Makoto had thought so.

"What? You ashamed of hanging around with the weird gaijin?"

"Don't say that, you know I'm not. I… always want to hang out with you." Then she bit her lip, looking away shyly.

And it clicked. Makoto prided herself on being able to analyse a situation, and this one was telling her something extremely specific.

"Oh." Glancing up at Ann's face, then back to Shiho's, then back to Ann's, Makoto asked, "You two are here for the same reason we are. Aren't you?" Ann bit her lip even harder and nodded - but in her case, the lip-biting was to prevent her grin from being huge enough to be visible from the International Space Station. "Wow…"

"What?" Sadayo blinked at Makoto a few times, then glanced between the other two girls. "Oh, really? Wait - that can't be true. That would be crazy!"

As Shiho started to edge behind Ann, as if she could legitimately hide there, Ann turned to whisper to her, "Wait, Shiho, you don't have to do that. These two are cool."

"Wh-what do you mean? 'Cool'? I… how do they… do they know we're…?"

"It's okay," Makoto hurried to explain, picking up Sadayo's hand and raising it as they laced their fingers together. "You don't have to hide who you are around us."

Then it finally clicked for the former volleyball star. "Oh. You two… you're lesbians?"

"I'm bisexual, I'm pretty sure," Sadayo chuckled nervously. Though the nervousness didn't make her drop Makoto's hand. "Since I used to date men and I didn't hate it that much. But those jerks had their chance; my Mako-chan takes way better care of me."

"Stop!" she hissed back at her girlfriend, and both she and Ann giggled. "But you're right, I try to."

"And you succeed." Then she turned back to Shiho. "So how long have you and Ann been… seeing each other?"

Completely red-faced, Shiho whispered, "N-not long. A few weeks."

"Ren and I took her to the roof of the school again," Ann explained as she managed to get Shiho to stand next to her again, then slid an arm around her waist. "Before he moved back home. So she could, y'know, make peace with what happened. And while we were up there, like… all the feelings came out. Things we wanted to say to each other before but couldn't, and then I wanted to while she was going through physical therapy but thought it would be too weird to do it then, and… I dunno. The time was right."

"Yeah," Shiho whispered, finally looking somewhat at peace as she wrapped both arms around Ann and leaned into her side. Makoto felt her heart skipping a beat; they were so adorable together! "Maybe I wasn't very um, perceptive, but… all those weeks of her visiting me, cheering me on even when I felt like I'd never walk again… how could I not love her? Just took me a while to see it."

"I can relate," Makoto hummed. Sadayo turned and kissed her cheek.

"Same here, Master."

Shiho's eyebrows furrowed, and while Makoto was trying to recover she said, "But is it alright? Her being your student - won't you get in trouble with the faculty?"

"Well… not anymore," Ann giggled. "She was a third year, remember?"

"Oh? Ohhhh, that's right; she's off to university now. So Kawakami-sensei is no longer her teacher." Reserved as it was, her smile started to grow. "You're really dating? It's not just us?"

"Not just you," Sadayo reassured her gently. "But you have to give the Queen the credit for being the initial pioneer."

"Huh?"

"She's the one who flipped me, dressing all butch and putting on that mustache. The rest of us were hopeless after that."

Makoto's face was almost as red as Shiho's now. "Hey! Cut that out, I am not a pioneer!"

"You totally are!" Ann cackled as Shiho was polite enough to do her giggling behind her hand. "I mean, if not for you crushing on Kawakami, I'd never have even thought about dating a girl. So y'know, my feelings for the best girl in the world would have been stuck behind that wall of, of… straight-ness. That makes you a lesbian leader! Hero to us all!"

"You're so cool with this," Makoto half-accused. "Why? I thought you were still looking to date boys - how did you change your mind so easily?"

That got the blonde shrugging. "What can I say? Shiho's amazing - and when I thought about my life without her in it, that sucked so much that I slowly realised I never wanted to be away from her again. That's about it; love won."

"Very true," Shiho whispered with bunched cheeks of joy. "She's my Ann. Forever."

"So simple," Sadayo giggled as she approached to hug them. Shiho did jump in surprise, but still allowed herself to be squeezed by the older woman. "I'm happy for you two, though. After all the both of you have been through… you deserve this."

It only took Makoto a few seconds to join in the group hug. "Agreed. I'm so happy and proud to call you my friends!"

Ann's laughter could have filled a stadium. "Right back atcha, Queen!"

The four of them found a ride to go on together, and had a lot of laughs before parting ways. Ann and Shiho only had day passes, and they wanted to feel out their new romantic connection - which was best done one-on-one. But Makoto and her former teacher had booked a room in the hotel.

"You're sure you want it to be here? Even though it's a 'children's park'?"

Sadayo smiled over her shoulder as she tossed her blouse onto the dresser carelessly. "The hotel isn't a children's hotel. I mean, I didn't see any 'no sex' signs in the lobby, so we should be alright."

Getting up from the bed, where she had been lounging, Makoto slid her hands up Sadayo's back to begin toying with her bra clasp. There was a brief instant where the woman froze, unsure of how to react… and then it passed. But it was enough to merit a response.

"Are you sure you're ready?"

"No," she groaned, head dropping back so she could gaze up at the ceiling as if praying for a deity to ease her suffering. "I mean, yes, I'm ready to do this. But I'm not. God, I sound like a little kid."

"I'm the kid, remember?" When that only prompted a louder groan, Makoto laughed and hugged her around the middle from behind, nestling her face against her former teacher's neck. "It's alright. I'm nervous, too. We can wait if you need more time."

"I don't need to wait. Well… I mean, we'll see," she amended with a soft laugh, and Makoto smiled even wider against her skin. "Either way, it's nice to- oh!"

The gasp was accompanying her bra coming off. Makoto's hands slid up the plane of her stomach to begin tripping very lightly over the sides of her breasts, avoiding her peaks for the time being. Clearly, Sadayo appreciated that, because she breathed a sigh of relief.

"You sure you don't want to slow down a little?"

"No. I want to see… how we work together. In bed. Since I've only been with men, and you haven't been with anyone. If…" She swallowed hard, voice growing soft and apologetic. "If I can't handle doing the deed with a girl, I'd like to find out before you end up trapped in a relationship with some woman who isn't, um… sexually compatible? If that's a real thing?"

Makoto's brow creased as she pet down Sadayo's sides to rest her hands on her hips. "Oh. Um… I hadn't considered that. I guess I just… like you so much and am getting so comfortable with you that I kind of… assumed it would be fine? But now, that seems pretty stupid."

"It's not," she breathed as she turned to face her. The girl's cheeks were clearly rosy at getting the full view of her, and Sadayo smiled softly. "I'm actually jealous it's that easy for you. Maybe I'm overthinking this whole thing, huh?"

"You think this is easy?! No way! I'm still scared! Just…" She shrugged and kissed the corner of her former teacher's mouth. "It's you."

That kiss led to a dozen more. Which led to further clothes being shed, hands wandering. Makoto was surprised at how much she liked the feeling of nails raking down her back, teeth nipping at her earlobe. How wet it made her, how much more she craved. It was as if she had been aching for this for years, not a few scant months.

"How does this even work?" Sadayo whispered once they were very nude beneath a very thin bedsheet. "You don't have anything I'm used to working with! Well… I mean, on myself, but even then I use a vibrating egg most of the time, so it's not the same…"

The former student's smile was as playful as it was bashful. "Don't worry, I'll show you."

"You'll show me? Wait - how will you show me?!"

"So… I may have looked up a few things…" When Sadayo looked alarmed, she dipped her head in chagrin. "Shhh, I know, it's shameful. But I was curious, because everything I learned in sex education barely even covered how this works for um… penetrative sex with male and female organs. It certainly never covered this."

Her girlfriend cringed, looking squeamish. "Don't say it all clinical like that, it makes me feel creepy."

"Sorry," she whispered.

"No, no, it's okay. I just… you're almost more grown up about this than I am. Doesn't that seem… backwards? At all?"

"It seems fair, actually. You get to be the adult about some things, and I get to about others. That's how relationships work, right?"

Rolling her eyes, she muttered, "Yes, Master," before kissing her again.

"Good, Becky. And as your master, I order you to stop calling me that and just… be here with me." She bit her lip for a second before whispering, "Sadayo."

"Ughhh, you know it gets me weak when you say my name like that!"

Not that it caused her to slow down at all. Makoto was more than happy to begin using every trick she had gleaned from the reluctantly-clicked links for the sole purpose of making her girlfriend sound as beautiful and unfettered as she had ever heard her. The fingers worked better than her mouth - which earned a startled outcry and a lot of shoving away, both of them laughing afterward. She had never had so much fun in all her life.

Afterward, they lay in bed staring at the ceiling and humming when they weren't panting for breath. Too afraid of what they might say to manage saying it. Then Sadayo finally broke the silence.

"I can't believe we just did that."

"I can't believe it took us that long. Well… I can, but only for specific reasons."

Rolling slightly to face Makoto, a lock of hair falling into her eyes, she whispered, "Still doesn't seem real, y'know? You and me… even if I did know I was a lesbian before, even if I was going to date a student - which I wasn't, ever!"

"I was the last one on your list?" she guessed with a smirk.

"Yeah. Just… I didn't think you could ever… you were the student council president. Right?"

"No, no, I know what you mean; I'm not offended. Trust me. But…" Sliding a little closer, she pet up and down the soft skin over her ribs, watching Miss Kawakami suck in a breath of gentle surprise when one finger moved down to dip into the well of her navel. "I'm happy."

"Mmm… couldn't be happier you took my heart. Even if this is crazy, I'm glad we didn't screw it up somehow."

Giggling, she leaned in to peck her chin. "Came pretty close, pretty often. But at least we're here now. Together. And… we can be together in Okinawa, too."

"Really? You still wanna go, even after Destinyland?"

"Of course. We don't have anywhere to be; not for a million years."

"We sure don't, my Queen."

They lost themselves in passions again, lips and hips colliding and arms tightening around sweating backs. And Makoto Niijima vowed anew that she would never let Sadayo Kawakami out of her sight again.

How would my muse handle seeing their object of affection falling in love with someone else?    

Depends on how much he’s invested in the relationship. If it’s just a small crush that didn’t go much anywhere then it doesn’t quite bother him as much. This is something I see happening with Shiho. The first person who doesn’t look at him like he just murdered someone’s pet or summoned the devil. It’s the kindness, trust and sincerity that makes him attracted towards her. Nothing more, nothing less. So when he finds out that she’s happy, healthy, and has a sound mind somewhere far away and finds someone to love, Akira lets the feelings he had bottled up since the conversation in the school hallway go.  He knows that sometimes to love someone is to let them go. Is it somewhat painful? You bet your ass it is. But he realizes that this would eventually not turn out for the better. Having Shiho still stay in school and with him would be very selfish.    

Now if it’s someone who he’s TOTALLY whipped over, as in Haru Okumura, then it’s a severely different. I won’t go into long details why he is very serious in pursuing a relationship with the daughter of a CEO since I’ve explained myself before.  Even at the school festival, the choices Akira can use to help out Haru when she gets put on the spot are just too cute to ignore. That’s why I think he would be quite devastated when he finds out that she found someone while he was away or at college. He would really second guess himself because the circumstances between a past incident and Haru’s one is quite similar in a few instances. How he’s totally attached a woman who refused to be intimated by people in power. How she stood up for herself. To see someone like that get swept up by another person would be soul crushing. He’d get angry, even to the point of destroying a few of his possessions by accident. He’d be so deep in regret in not talking to her more or inviting her to join him in the party during missions. There’s just a lot of emotions that would break this fool’s heart that many wouldn’t know.  

Button Mash?

I’ve been questioning it for awhile but why does Akira pet cat!Morgana like he does? Has he done that to all of the cats he’s met? Did he get scratched in the face constantly because on how rough he pets the cats? My Akira doesn’t really have an answer to that. I wonder if his parents ever yelled at him for being mean but him explaining that his cat petting technique was normal? Or maybe that his parents let him do what he pleased?

Mythical creature

I know I sound cliched here but I really think he’s the most compatible with a dragon. Some in literature have been bad, others that have been good. It’s a good in-between choice since Akira has been both thought of as bad ( the majority of his transfer school) and good ( the band of the phantom thieves/ persona owners ). Seeing how he’s treated throughout the game, he’s either seen as a criminal or a soft fluffy hair nerd. Reminds me of a comparison of Smaug and Toothless. One’s more scarier than the other but both dragons can be applied here. 

Dessert

 I’ve talked about this a little but Akira loves macaroons and key lime pie. They aren’t very convenient or popular sweets that get requested all the time but he likes them because they are aesthetically pleasing. This is just an excuse to gush about the way he’s set the macaroons up so they make a smiley face before devouring the whole set in one go.

The Pintrest posts usually say; ‘You Jelly?’. The post is clearly engraved with a picture of him grinning that he has a cool dessert and didn’t have to share it with the rest of his teammates. He loves them with all of his heart but sharing is not sometimes caring. He’s quick to go on the offensive with his favorite desserts, repeating ‘mine, mine, mine’ like the gulls in finding nemo.

Season

The best bet for this one is how Akira views of landscapes and how the weather effects him. He doesn’t care about the air of summer because it’s too darn hot. Having that type of hair ( frizzy/curly) makes it extremely hot for him during the heat waves of Japan. Spring has a lot of pollen that stick to his hair, which he hates because picking all that out is time consuming. His precious video game playing time is jeopardized because of it. Winter is too cold for him to do anything. Even throwing snowballs is quite a task for him.

Fall actually suit him quite well. It’s not as hot as summer but not as cool as winter. Plus, the changing of the leaves and festivals are absolutely stunning. He’s swept up by emotion most of the time, evident in the Hawaii cutscene. It’s just a raw thing to happen to him and he gets swept up my the charm of the normal fall things. And the whipping leaves, they don’t get in his hair. Which is a great plus to liking Fall the best.  

 Cat breed

I know it’s cliched but I’m still going with a black cat because most of his color scheme is black and red ( with a little white in there too but I am not going to use that as an example here ). Probably a black Persian cat. I looked on you-tube and found them to be extra fluffy. Because let’s face it, Akira’s been told that he has frizzy/fluffy hair since the beginning of his existence. So in theory that would make him more fluffier than Morgana ( which I think the fur type is almost non-existent. shrugs ). 

FITS MY MUSE BEST: 🎤- MUSICAL/MOVIE

Don’t laugh at this but I think one of the movies I’ve seen that fits my muse is the Rankin and Bass ‘Rudolph’ movie. Especially when the two main characters ( the reindeer and elf ) sing about being misfits. Also, all the other reindeer children in the movie are told by their parents to shun Rudolph because he was different, not the norm. Just like Akira. He was treated unfairly until he met his first friend, which was Ryuji. Also, I can’t stop laughing at the fact Ryuji would want to become a dentist. Or that I imagine Akira as a reindeer…

Character Name: Carmen de la Pin

A woman who stands around 5’5”, usually with an extra 3” boost from her heels. She has a pair of tall rabbit ears and a cotton-ball tail to match, both of which she is proud to announce are real! Her curly, rose-gold hair falls in a long ponytail to her behind and always covers her right eye. The reason why changes every time you ask her, and any attempts to look under are fooled by a heart-shaped eyepatch with “Nice Try!” embroidered on the front. “A magician never reveals her tricks” indeed!

Her performance and thieving outfit is a pink bunny suit covered by a scarlet waistcoat and bow tie, a white longcoat without any sleeves, and a matching white top hat and boots. She also wears dark patterned tights and a scarlet garter on her left leg, usually there to hold whatever tools she may need it to. The hat worn at an angle with one ear flopping out is a detail she particularly loves, and her scarlet gloves have been the source of more than one “caught red handed” joke from her.

Personality:

With a bubbly and sweet voice like hers, it would be hard to think of Carmen as anything but a cute hard worker. Becoming a magician in a world that’s already full of everything someone could ever want to see must take some doing, after all, and she tackles that challenge in hopes of inspiring other bright stars to break out from the world’s insincere lustre. She faces every obstacle in life with a nonchalant smile as though it was simply a performance, even down to doing it as acrobatically or dramatically as possible. She tends to get attached to people quickly, often using pet names like darling or chérie when she speaks to them, and has a soft spot for children.

Her cool-headed suaveness is often to hide another side of her, though. Rarely ever being seen upset, if ever at all, makes her the perfect thief that can adapt to any situation. She’s ready to do whatever she needs to get whatever she needs, but still adheres to her personal rules of avoiding murder or long-term injury as much as she can. If she stays with you for the night, however, don’t expect half your things (or her) to be there the next morning. More often than not, she steals for the thrill of the chase more so than the treasure itself, and won’t normally go after treasures with sentimental value. That doesn’t stop her lifting something small and showing off with a little “ta-da!” motion every now and then as though it was part of her magic act, though. Her life as a thief is one of many secrets she holds, and much like an actual rabbit, will only ever expose herself when she can be certain the person involved can be trusted. The only time she’s ever been seen dropping her cool persona is beginning to panic if her ears are pulled too hard.

This magic rabbit can keep any audience under her hat as the main attraction, and can just as easily sneak by without a single person spotting her - talk about stealing your heart!

Background:

Nobody can ever remember when it all started; what the world was like so long ago, when man stayed anchored to the world below him. Some say it paid back his kindness with its own life, and some say he stole it clean. Whatever the truth may be, it led man high above the rotting earth with machines powered by the captured mana that once ran through the soil, leaves, and oceans stored in crystals known as Broach.

Initially meant to serve as a transport from shore to shore, they quickly became something more than themselves. They became cities, entire havens came together to form their own country in the clouds. The further humanity strayed from the warm arms of nature, the weaker their hold on it became.

That was, at least, until the Angora came. Not many know where from, and those that do have long since been ‘inducted’ into a certain community far away from the surface. As a strange mutation of humanity with the features of animals and an extraordinary connection to the remaining mana, they quickly became a fundamental part of officially turning the machines into a home and helping to revive its life. On top of that, their connection allowed wholly new powers to bloom in those fortunate enough. Streets began to shine, children began to laugh, and for the first time, almost felt like they could truly be homes.

While the world was once again lively, not everyone was satisfied with the gaudy gold and retina-burning lights. One such girl, a rabbit with hair as pink as her cheeks and a voice as sweet as her perfume, appeared as though from nowhere on the stage of the Chandelier’s most renowned casino. With a magical affinity unlike any other, she stole the hearts of everyone in the room in one fell swoop, and with them paved the way to lighting up the streets that remained in the dark. After all, what would one more lie be to the long web? A sweet word here, a little helping hand there… and all that was left at the scene of the Chandelier’s first heist was one card; the Queen of Hearts.

Over, over, and over again, this cycle of romancing her way in and exploding her way out with only a card as her trail. Even as suspicions began to arise, spotting that familiar white coat in the escape, it wasn’t as though she stayed in one place for long enough for anyone to interrogate her. This was, of course, much to the chagrin of a certain fox detective that always, always managed to just catch the heels of her dramatic exits.

Still, that’s simply the life of a charming, beautiful, amazing phantom thief, isn’t it? Hopping from place to place, putting on a show, and always giving a smile even in the worst times. For Carmen, it’s the cheers from those in the shadows, those slowly becoming unblinded by such insincere lights, that keep her going. She’ll always have someone to turn to, even if it has to be herself.

After all, the show must go on!

Memento:

Presto - A telescopic cane that can extend and retract from the curved handle, often stored in her hat when not in use. A mechanism inside stores the kinetic energy of her movements with it, charging up a blast to let loose from the tip! She likes to extend it with a cheerful call of “Hey, Presto!”, but it’s not at all required.

Natural Abilities:

Angora Traits - Her long rabbit ears provide a huge boost in hearing range and overall cuteness, but she can be overloaded with enough noise. She can see better than a human in low light, but not in total darkness. She also has naturally high agility, jumping power, and flexibility, very useful for both escapes and performances.

N.Y.S.M. Unit - A ‘natural’ ability in name only. Using special equipment implanted in her hidden eye especially for her mischief, she is normally able to perform basic illusionary magic (small water spouts, hiding small items for sleight-of-hand tricks, harmless plumes of flame, etc.) to add some sparkle to her tricks. Carmen, a master of disguises and trickery, uses it to affect herself and one other person/large object at most. In heists, disguising herself, changing her voice, and hiding her ears with this has gotten her out of more than one sticky situation.

Power History:

Back in the Room! - Carmen’s unique power and one of her favourite tricks, allowing her to lull someone into a daze and give them orders. In order to drastically change someone (i.e. changing morals or memories), she requires their permission to hypnotise them and get deep into their mind. However, gentler suggestions can be done with or without permission, much to the dismay of the friend who took the last slice of cake just before her. In either case, a character’s writer will be asked before using this ability!

Extra:

Her surname, de la Pin, is a double pun - “lapin” being the French word for rabbit, and “Lupin” being the surname of another renowned French thief. Her forename, Carmen, also has French origins from the novella of the same name known for its femme fatale heroine.

She has a habit of sorting and flourishing cards to keep her hands busy.

Her favourite drink is tea with milk and however many sugars the one serving it thinks she needs. It’s a good way to tell how people think about her!

Carmen is able to play both the piano and the saxophone, and isn’t half bad as a singer! She likes to leave it as a surprise for people to find when they least expect it.

The ‘N.Y.S.M.’ Unit is short for Now You See Me. Yes, she chose it.

The paintings on the wall depicted Folsom’s many deeds, including falsely accusing a student of smuggling cafeteria food out of school when he was simply going to eat outside, sending a student to detention just because she painted a picture of Folsom that didn’t turned out so good and thought she was making propaganda, and worst of all, expelling a lot of students just because their parents didn’t agree with her about her new Three Strikes And You're Expelled Policy.

Shadow Folsom: (not really agitated) You will pay for that, you little slut!

Oracle: This could be bad. These new guys can absorb Bless attacks. But they are weak to Wind. Mona, we’re counting on you.

Mona: Don’t worry, I’m on it.

Mother Harlot: Go ahead. You won’t win. I am a god here!

Crow: We’ll see about that. Now, Loki!

>Loki uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot. However, she uses Null Bless to protect herself.

Mother Harlot: See? What did I tell you?

Joker: We’ll see about that.

>Sraosha uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot also. This time, it knocks her down.

Joker: Your move now, Mona!

Baton Pass!

Mona: I’m on it! Show your might, Mercurius!

>Mercurius uses Garula on each of the Melchizedeks. Only one of them got knocked down. Hecate uses Dormina on the standing Melchizedek and it falls asleep. Mercurius uses Garula again and this time, the Melchizedek is knocked down.

Mona: Time for some bloodshed!

>After the attack, Mother Harlot and the two Melchizedeks are still up. Mother Harlot uses Mabufudyne. Crow was Frozen and Panther was knocked down. Mother Harlot attacks Crow and shatters him. One of the Melchizedeks uses Revolution and raises our critical hit and the other one uses God’s Hand on me. Luckily, I dodged it. Loki uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot and knocks her down. Crow passes the baton to Mona and Mercurius uses Garula on both Melchizedeks and knocks them down.

Mona: Time for more pain!

>After the attack, the Shadows were still up. Sraosha uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot. It knocks her down. I pass the baton to Mona again and once again uses Garula on both Melchizedeks.

Mona: Three times the charm!

>After the attack, the Shadows were still up, however, the two Melchizedeks were getting weaker.

Mona: We better step it up now. We just have to keep going.

Panther: (getting back up) Right. Let’s go, Hecate!

>Hecate uses Concentrate. Mercurius uses Magarudyne. Both Melchizedeks are knocked down. Mona passes the baton to crow and Loki uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot. However, she uses Null Bless. Mother Harlot uses Mamudoon. It missed me, Panther, and Mona and Crow was protected from by a Homunculus. One of the Melchizedeks gets back up, but now weaker, and uses God’s Hand on me. It was a critical hit that knocks me down. The Melchizedek simply attacks me again. The other Melchizedek uses Hamaon on Panther. Luckily, it missed. Loki uses Laevatein on Mother Harlot. It takes a lot of health on her, but not enough to leave her weak. I get back up and Sroasha uses Kougaon on Mother Harlot. It knocks her down.

Joker: On to you now, Mona.

Baton Pass!

Mona: Here goes!

>Mercurius uses Magurudyne. It knocks both Melchizedeks down.

Mona: Quiver in fear!

>After the attack, Mother Harlot was still up, but now weaker and the two Melchizedeks were gone. Hecate uses Agidyne. Mother Harlot gets Burned. Mercurius uses Garudyne. It was a technical hit with her being Burned. Mother Harlot uses Ice Age. Luckily, no one was Frozen, especially Panther who dodged it. The Burn takes some of Mother Harlot’s health.

Oracle: I’ll do something about this!

>Prometheus restores some of our SP. Loki uses Kougaon. It knocks Mother Harlot down.

Crow: Let’s scatter!

>After the attack, Mother Harlot was still up, but now weaker. Sraosha uses Kougaon also. But Mother Harlot uses Null Bless. Hecate uses Agidyne again. Mercurius uses Garudyne. It was a technical hit with the Burn. Now she was really low.

Mother Harlot: Don’t you dare! I will give you all detention! YOU’LL BE EXPELLED!

Crow: We’re not even students here. But soon...

You’ll be the one expelled.

>Mother Harlot just glares as the Burn takes a bit of her health. Loki then uses Kougaon. It knocks her down.

Crow: This is what I was waiting for!

>After the attack, the Shadow resumes her human form and a light comes out.

Mona: We have the Treasure!

>I take the Treasure. It’s a golden spider pin.

Shadow Folsom: I bought that pin after my brother’s pet bird eat my beloved pet spider. This was because I was too nice. My older brother took advantage of that kindness and fed my spider to it. After that, I bought that pin as a remind of what happens when you be soft on people. I had to be tough so the students won’t do to me the same things my brother did.

Noir: True. There’s no guarantee that some of the students won’t take advantage of you, but that doesn’t mean they all will. There are actually a few good students in the school.

Queen: Like those two Safety Patrol Officers, Cornelius Fillmore and Ingrid Third. They seem like nice kids.

Shadow Folsom: Even though they won’t be here next year?

Crow: Yes, we know. They’re in the 8th grade. Which means by this September, they’ll be in high school. But there are still others in this school. They will do their part to help where they left off. Just believe in them.

Joker: That’s right...

Shadow Folsom: ... I see. I’ll give them that chance. If it mean I’ll be a better principal, I’ll try not to be hard on them.

>Later that evening, at the Raycliff home, Raycliff and his daughter, Jeanie, were watching TV when the news came on.

Newscaster: Just a while ago today, X Middle School Principal Dawn Folsom had confessed to mistreating her students. She claims that she had been running the school more like a city than a school. She also confessed to punishing, suspending, and even expelling students unjustly. Currently, Folsom is in holding. She will be undergoing evaluation and will not be able to perform her school duties. Many students at X believe that this change of heart was done by the Japanese group known as the Phantom Thieves. However, no evidence, other than calling cards that were found all over the school, has yet to support this. More news as this story unfolds.

Jeanie: That sounds bad.

Raycliff: It sure is, doesn’t it?

Jeanie: What’s going to happen now?

Raycliff: I’m guessing school will be cancelled for a few days.

Jeanie: How long?

Raycliff: I’m guess until they can get things settled. Guess that means more work for me.

Jeanie: Does this... Mean that Folsom will be replaced?

Raycliff: Who knows. Maybe she will, maybe she won’t. It’s hard to say what with school closing for the summer soon.

Jeanie: ... Maybe you can take her place, Dad.

Raycliff: (a bit surprised) Me? I don’t know. I never actually thought of it.

Jeanie: But you know everything about the school by heart. You’ve never needed to look up anything... And I know it would make my first year at X a happy and more peaceful one... The only down side is that Glasses and Dark won’t be here.

Raycliff: Glasses? Dark? You mean Fillmore and Third?

Jeanie: That’s their names? I’ve been calling the Glasses and Dark ever since I heard stories about them at school.

Raycliff: (smiling a bit) I guess they do have that kind of vibe. As for me as the new principal... I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. In the meantime, your mother called. She said she’s going to be late, so we can go and have dinner without her. How does frozen pizza sound?

Jeanie: That would be great.

>Raycliff left to get dinner ready.
