Remember, this was AFTER they cut the show’s budget by 40%, did practically zero promotion or advertising, no awards push or campaigning - nearly all the promo for Season 2 was done by cast and crew off their own backs (million thank yous again to Samba)

Season 2 still hasn’t even aired here in the UK yet!

Don’t let them get away with this bullshit, remember the truth. We won’t forget.

like, i’m just saying, so much of our show is staring down a dire situation right in the eyes and refusing to give up.

lucius was killed? no he wasn’t; we refused to believe it. he was in the walls. he was in a hidden compartment. and then bam, there he was on the red flag.

ed was killed? no he wasn’t; he was in the gravy basket, man. stede saw his body, and helped guide him right back through the power of love.

the english was attacking? it’s suicide? no it wasn’t; the crew was a united front, and even despite loss, their spirit will always exist through the empire. they will not be defeated no matter what. they will always be together in some way or another.

it’s dire. it’s horrible. it’s so incredibly heartbreaking and frustrating. but we’re all here for each other. we’re all strong as ever. and i really want to believe we can stare all of this down, give a huge “no,” and swim back up to the surface with our beloved show in tow.

he should write a book then

idc whether it’s written like a novel or a script, the sales will be through the roof. we all wanna know how the story was supposed to end and see it gets the closure it deserves, and limited episodes/budget won’t be a problem cause it’s a written book

what if ofmd’s new home won’t be a different network but our own bookshelves

Absolutely Devastated by the recent news of OFMD’s cancellation.

I thought I’d take this opportunity to share the screenshot redraws I did on instagram.

This show changed media forever imo, and I don’t think there will be anything that could replicate the joy and love that was poured into Our Flag Means Death, but I know so many more queer positive stories will only bloom from here on out.
