Neotonics Review: The Secrets to Skin and Gut Health
Tumblr media
In today's fast-paced world, maintaining vibrant skin and a healthy gut can be a challenge. Enter Neotonics, a revolutionary supplement that has caught our attention. In this review, we will delve into the intricacies of this product. We'll discuss its formulation, ingredients, benefits, and pricing. By the end, you'll have all the facts you need to decide if Neotonics is right for you.
Neotonics: A Glimpse into Gut Health and Radiant Skin
The connection between gut health and skin radiance is not new, but Neotonics is taking it to a whole new level. This supplement, available in delightful gummy form, is designed to boost your gut microbiome and reduce the signs of aging on your skin. Let's dive deeper.
Supplement Name: Neotonics
Main Purpose: Promote skin and gut health
Form: Gummies
The Potent Ingredients Behind Neotonics
Neotonics is armed with a proprietary blend of nine plant-based ingredients and a substantial 500 million CFU (Colony-Forming Units) of Bacillus coagulans bacteria. Let's explore these ingredients:
Babchi:
Babchi, also known as Bakuchi, is renowned for treating various skin conditions. Additionally, it can be beneficial for individuals dealing with constipation or irritable bowel syndrome (IBS).
Fenugreek:
Hailing from the Mediterranean, fenugreek is celebrated for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, thanks to the compound Diosgenin. The gummy form makes it easy to incorporate into your routine.
Inulin:
This prebiotic is the fuel for probiotic bacteria, supporting their growth and balance in your gut. Inulin's journey through your digestive system feeds these beneficial bacteria.
Dandelion Extract:
Dandelion extract brings skin-protecting qualities to Neotonics. Often consumed as a tea, it contributes to overall wellness and longevity.
Bacillus Coagulans:
With 500 million CFUs per gummy, Bacillus coagulans is a powerful probiotic that can help balance your gut microbiome and enhance digestive health.
Lemon Balm:
Lemon balm extract contributes to smoother skin and unclogged pores. It has a history of use in traditional medicine and gut health remedies.
Organic Ceylon Ginger:
This ginger variety multiplies beneficial bacteria and is lauded for its long-term anti-aging effects.
Slippery Elm Bark:
Known for its natural laxative properties, slippery elm bark aids in cleansing toxins from your body, promoting clearer skin.
Organic Lion’s Mane:
A type of mushroom, organic lion’s mane is associated with vitality, health, and overall digestive wellness.
Fennel:
Rich in vitamins, fennel supports digestive health, regularity, and overall well-being.
The Neotonics Experience: How It Works
Neotonics sets out to boost skin cell turnover by nurturing a healthy gut. It's simple – one gummy a day provides your body with a blend of nine ingredients, each working in its unique way to support gut health.
Skin cell turnover is the process of shedding old skin cells and replacing them with younger ones, which keeps your skin looking vibrant. As you age, this process naturally slows down, leading to wrinkles and fine lines. Neotonics steps in by targeting your aging gut, promoting anti-aging effects within, and accelerating skin cell turnover.

DentaTonic | Supplements - Health
A Scientific Evaluation of DentaTonic: A Dietary Supplement for Oral Health
Dentists and hygienists recommend a consistent regimen of brushing, flossing, and regular checkups to maintain optimal oral health. However, recent research suggests that certain dietary supplements may offer additional support. DentaTonic, a formulation containing a blend of enzymes and minerals, has gained traction for its potential to promote comprehensive oral health. Let's explore the scientific basis behind its key ingredients.
Enzyme Activity for a Balanced Microbiome
DentaTonic incorporates a trio of enzymes: lactoperoxidase, lysozyme, and dextranase. Lactoperoxidase, naturally present in saliva, plays a critical role in the body's oral defense system. Studies indicate its ability to inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria associated with plaque formation and potential decay [1]. Lysozyme functions as a natural antimicrobial agent, further targeting bacteria within the oral cavity [2]. Dextranase disrupts complex sugars, a primary food source for plaque-forming bacteria [3]. By influencing the oral microbiome, DentaTonic may contribute to a healthier environment for teeth and gums.
Tumblr media
Potential for Enamel Remineralization
Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite, another key component of DentaTonic, is a form of calcium phosphate that mirrors the mineral structure of tooth enamel. Research suggests it may possess remineralizing properties, potentially aiding in the repair of early enamel erosion [4]. This could be particularly beneficial for individuals prone to sensitivity or early signs of decay.
A Promising Ally in Oral Care
While further clinical trials are necessary to definitively establish DentaTonic's full range of benefits, the scientific evidence supporting its individual ingredients is encouraging. By potentially promoting a healthy oral microbiome, fostering remineralization, and inhibiting plaque formation, DentaTonic may offer a valuable complement to established dental hygiene practices. It is crucial to emphasize that DentaTonic should not be considered a substitute for regular dental checkups and professional cleanings.

FROM EDEN | Chapter Two (2/8)
Oscar Piastri x Francesca Gold (OFC)
Summary — Francesca Gold is an introvert with a quiet life and a Youtube channel where she talks about books, drinks too much tea, and rarely ever shows her face. She prefers it that way - tucked into her London flat with her cat, Henry, and safely hidden behind a screen.
Oscar Piastri is a Formula 1 driver. Fast-paced, high-stakes, always on the move. He hasn't read a book in years, but he's watched every single one of Francesca's videos. Just for the sound of her voice.
Following her on Instagram was a moment of weakness. He didn't think she'd notice.
She did.
Chapter Warnings — Mentions of agoraphobia + severe social anxiety, depressive episodes + very brief references to skin-picking. Mental health shaming.
Notes — Lots of dialogue + messages in this one. Next chapter will be posted on (or before) Thursday!
The family group chat was already at thirteen unread messages by the time Francesca mustered the courage to look at it.
Mum: June flights are cheaper if you book now xx
Izzy: I’ll be home that week too! Dad said he’s going to do a BBQ. I’m bringing Zack.
Mum: It’s been ages, Fran. Everyone wants to see you.
Francesca read the messages slowly, one by one, her gut curling with that all too familiar guilt.
She should want to go home for the summer. She hadn’t seen any of them since Christmas. She missed them, in her own way. But the thought of travelling, especially alone — of trains, of planes, of conversations she couldn’t quietly log off from — made her want to disappear.
She opened the notes app on her phone and rehearsed her response:
Hey, I don’t think I’ll be able to come this summer. It’s a really bad time for me, mentally.
She stared at it. Deleted it.
Retyped:
Hey, I’ll have to see. Work is really full on right now.
That one she copied and pasted into the chat. Sent it.
Immediately, three little bubbles popped up. Her pulse spiked.
Mum: It’s only one weekend. I’m sure your little channel survive.
Izzy: Oh come on, Francesca. It’s one weekend. Dad misses you.
Francesca locked her phone and turned it screen-side down on her bed.
Henry stirred where he was curled up against her side, sensing the shift in energy.
She pressed her hand into his soft fur and whispered, “You’d hate it. Too many people. Not enough snacks. Mum will get hay fever and and blame her runny nose on you.”
He blinked up at her. Loyal. Unbothered. Her co-conspirator.
She picked up her phone again. She could feel the heat rising in her chest — a familiar, creeping anger she usually buried so deep that it didn’t even get a name.
Not today.
Her thumbs moved before her brain could stop them.
Has it ever occurred to you that you could come here instead?
She blinked at the snappiness of her outburst, her breath catching in her throat.
Then:
You’re always asking me to come home and expecting me to be okay with the travel. But none of you have been to London since I moved here. It’s just always assumed that I’ll suddenly be fine travelling by myself. Which I’m not.
Her heart pounded. She hovered over the message, the way she always did.
And then she hit send.
Almost immediately, panic flooded in behind the adrenaline.
Too much. Too harsh. She could almost hear the stunned silence that would follow.
The chat stayed still for a minute. Then two. Then—
Mum: We’re just trying to help you, sweetheart. You need to learn how to push yourself out of your comfort zone. You’re an adult now.
Izzy: Lol. Yikes.
Francesca sighed and closed her eyes, pressing her head back against her headboard.
She didn’t regret letting herself say it. Not really.
Even though it hadn’t seemed to make a difference.
She didn’t need to push herself. She had boundaries and that was okay.
Henry nosed her hand with his head, and she scratched behind his ears absently.
“I know,” she murmured. “That could’ve gone better. But still.”
She thumbed through her apps again, not to the chat this time, but Instagram. She found herself staring — almost absently — at Oscar’s profile, her thumb hovering over the follow button.
It wasn’t the same, she told herself. But somehow, it still felt like the same kind of bravery.
She pressed her thumb down and watched the icon shift from Follow to Following.
There. Done.
Her heart beat a little too fast, but she didn’t unlock her phone again. Not yet.
She glanced at the time and let out a quiet, slightly disbelieving laugh.
It wasn’t even eleven a.m. and she’d done two scary things.
She was unstoppable.
—
iMessage — Katie & Francesca
Katie:
You followed him back.
Francesca:
should i have asked for permission first?
Katie:
You’re sassy today
Francesca:
i had to interact with my sister
Katie:
Ew.
—
Like she did every Friday night, Francesca ordered a takeaway — Thai, because she was predictable — and curled up with Henry while she worked through her notifications.
She responded to YouTube comments first. Then Instagram. Then TikTok.
“Loved this rec!”
“Adding this to my TBR.”
“You have the coziest voice, please do ASMR.”
She typed thank yous, sent emojis, liked everything in sight.
By the time she opened her DMs, she was comfortably full and lulled into a rhythm — heart-reacting sweet messages, replying to the odd question about where she got her bookshelf lights.
She didn’t expect to see it.
Didn’t expect him.
An unopened message. From a verified account. Sitting halfway down the screen like it had been waiting for her.
Instagram DM's — Oscar Piastri > Francesca Gold
Oscar Piastri Thank you. Are you a McLaren fan?
And then a few hours later, he’d followed up with:
I just wanted to say I really liked your last video. It made my flight way less boring.
She froze. Actually froze.
Her eyes scanned the messages again, and again, as if they would change.
And then, with dawning horror, she realised what had happened.
She’d sent it. In the process of clumsily exiting out of the app, she’d sent the message congratulating him on his podium.
And he’d seen it.
And responded to it.
His response hadn’t been there yesterday. Had it?
She wasn’t sure. Her inbox was always a bit of a mess, but still—
She let her phone drop to her lap, stared at the ceiling, and let out a sound that was somewhere between a squeak and a yell.
Henry looked up from his loaf position and stared at her.
“I’m fine,” she whispered. “I’m totally fine.”
She wasn’t.
She was an idiot. A fat-thumbed idiot.
She didn’t reply straight away.
Instead, she opened the message thread again. Then again. Then three more times, pacing between her couch and the kitchen like some kind of Victorian ghost haunting her flat.
Henry trailed after her for the first few laps before giving up and flopping down with a lazy sigh.
One sentence. Barely even a thing. But it was him, telling her that he’d enjoyed her last video, after asking her if she supported the team he drove for, and that changed everything.
She drafted five different replies, none of them good.
Too casual. Too try-hard. Too weird.
She threw her phone across the room, onto the couch, and stared at the wall for a full minute before groaning into her hands.
Eventually, after she’d stress-eaten three mini chocolate muffins that she didn’t even like, she picked up her phone and typed, quickly this time, before she could overthink it:
Francesca Gold Thanks. I’m glad I made it easier for you.
And I don’t know much about McLaren. Just cheering for you, I guess.
She stared at it.
It was true. It was honest. It didn’t sound like she wanted to marry him, probably.
She pressed send.
Immediately put her phone face down.
Then picked it back up, just to check.
Then turned it off entirely.
Henry meowed like he disapproved of her cowardice.
She glared at him. “Shut up, Garfield.”
He glowered at her.
—
Katie had arranged for an Uber to pick her up right outside of her flat and bring her straight to the office. No walking, no public transport, no unnecessary variables. Just door-to-door.
It was the kindest version of a nightmare.
Francesca perched on the edge of the back seat, hands curled in her lap, her breath shallow despite the driver's quiet humming and the soft instrumental music playing through the speakers. She had her AirPods in but wasn’t listening to anything — she just needed a barrier between her and the world.
Every red light made her stomach twist tighter. Every bump in the road sent a flicker of nausea through her chest. It felt ridiculous — it was ridiculous — but having self-awareness didn’t make it any easier.
She glanced at her phone without thinking.
And then blinked at the notification she was met with.
Instagram DM's — Oscar Piastri > Francesca Gold
Oscar Piastri I feel special. And kind of like I need to point at Lando and laugh at him
A small, startled laugh escaped her. It sounded foreign in the confined space.
Another message popped up, and her eyes went wide as she realised what was happening; they were both in the chat at the same time.
Oscar Piastri But now I have to ask — favourite driver who isn’t me?
A tiny smile pulled at the corners of her lips before she could stop it. Her fingers moved quickly over the screen.
Francesca Gold I’n very new to the sport, but I have a few favourites, I guess.
Oscar Piastri How new?
She bit her lip.
Francesca Gold
Watched my first qualifying the day after u followed me.
Lol
Oscar Piastri
No way
Really?
That’s really cool, actually.
Did you enjoy it then?
The tightness in her chest eased. Not completely. But enough.
The hum of the road didn’t feel so sharp. Her jaw unclenched.
She leaned her head against the window, let the cool glass ground her, and typed back:
Francesca Gold Sure.
My cat wasn’t so keen.
The three little dots appeared instantly.
And suddenly, the office didn’t feel quite so far away.
Oscar Piastri
The ginger one?
Francesca Gold
Haha. Yes. His name is Henry.
Oscar Piastri I like cats :) Sry, gtg. Being glared at for being on my phone in a meeting.
Francesca stared at the message, her fingers tightening around her phone like it might float away if she let go.
He was messaging her when he was supposed to be working? Like, at work-working. With people. In a meeting. While probably wearing a team shirt and doing serious, important racing driver things.
Her heart did this awkward little somersault in her chest.
Francesca Gold
Have fun.
—
The Uber rolled to a stop outside the sleek glass building, and Francesca's heart started thudding again, loud and clumsy in her chest.
But before she could spiral, the door swung open and Katie’s familiar voice filled the car.
“There she is,” she said brightly, reaching in with one arm to haul Francesca up like she was a tiny dog and not a grown adult. “I was starting to think you’d made the driver turn around.” She leaned between the front seats and said, “Cheers, mate. Have a good day.” To the driver.
“I considered it,” Francesca muttered, tucking her phone into her coat pocket and willing the blush on her cheeks to cool.
Katie narrowed her eyes the moment they stepped onto the pavement. “Why are you blushing?”
“I’m not—blushing,” Francesca lied, immediately and unconvincingly.
Katie stopped walking. “You are!”
Francesca shot her a warning look but couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at her mouth. “You’re being so dramatic.”
Katie just grinned, triumphant. “I’m right. You were blushing.”
Francesca shook her head, her fingers twitching inside her coat sleeves. Then, quieter, she said, “Thank you. For organising the car. And… for understanding. About all of this.”
Katie blinked at her like she’d just announced that she was moving to the moon.
“Babe,” she said simply, “you don’t thank people for turning on a light in the dark. It’s just what you do.”
Francesca swallowed hard.
And then Katie, who never could leave a moment un-teased, added, “Now will you please tell me what made you blush?”
She exhaled slowly, pressing her knuckles to her lips.
Then, deadpan, to Katie: “He said he likes cats.”
Katie blinked. “He? Who’s he?”
Francesca just smiled down at the pavement.
Katie’s eyes narrowed. “You’re going to be unbearable, aren’t you?”
“I’m already unbearable.”
“Well. At least you’re self-aware.”
—
It was late, and the empty pizza box sat open on Francesca’s coffee table was like a monument to their gluttony. Henry had given up trying to sneak crusts and was now dozing on the back of the couch like a furry gargoyle, his tail flicking every so often.
Katie wiped her hands on a napkin and leaned back with a contented sigh. “Okay, we should eat like this every week. I don’t care if it gives me cheese-induced nightmares.”
Francesca laughed softly, tucking her legs beneath her and cradling her thin-stemmed wine glass close. “Hard agree.”
Katie nodded, then tilted her head, studying her. “How are you doing? With everything, I mean.”
Francesca took a breath. Then another. She watched the wine swirl in her glass, the way the lamplight caught it and made it look warmer than it was.
“I’m… okay,” she said eventually. “Some days are harder than others. Today wasn’t the worst.”
Katie didn’t press. Just waited.
“I still haven’t been out on my own for months,” Francesca added, quieter now. “And I get panicky just thinking about having to travel home. I hate how heavy it all feels, sometimes.”
Katie reached for the bottle and topped up both their glasses, like that was the kind of answer that required more wine. It probably was.
“It’s okay to feel heavy,” she said. “You’re the one living with it. You can feel however you want.”
Francesca’s eyes stung.
“I know,” she whispered. “It’s just exhausting. Like, I feel like I’m never doing enough.”
“Don’t say that,” Katie said firmly. “You’re successful. You’re kind. And you’re working really damn hard to get better. I know you are. Not just the therapy, but the medication, and the whole posting more of your face thing? Don’t think I haven’t noticed.” She said. “I think you’re really bloody brave.”
Francesca smiled, brittle and small. “Tell that to my family.”
Katie rolled her eyes and raised her wine glass with a thin, vexed smile. “I hate your family. Let’s toast. To boundaries.”
Francesca clinked her glass with Katie’s. “To wine.”
They drank in silence for a beat, and then Katie smirked. “And to Oscar Piastri’s stupidly pretty face.”
Francesca choked on her sip, her face heating immediately. “God. I can’t even look at a picture of him properly without blushing.”
“So don’t look. Just keep messaging him and pretend he’s a normal boy with a normal job and a slightly ridiculous gluten allergy or something.”
Francesca frowned. “You think he has a gluten allergy?”
She hadn’t seen any mention of one on his wikipedia page.
Katie shrugged. “It feels like something rich men have.”
Francesca giggled, shaking her head at her best friends ridiculousness.
“Don’t think I didn’t notice how you keep checking your phone every five minutes.”
Francesca scrunched up her nose in embarrassment and let her head fall back against the couch. “I’m pathetic.”
Katie grinned. “No, you’re not. But if you’re going to keep dm’ing Australia’s golden boy, I feel like I deserve to live vicariously.”
“He’s not—” She stopped herself, huffing out a breath. “He’s just… nice. And funny. And—”
“And gorgeous,” Katie supplied with a smirk.
Francesca covered her face with her hands. “He’s so gorgeous. It’s actually rude.”
Katie let out a delighted cackle.
“But,” Francesca added, quieter this time, “he’s from another planet. Like, look at my flat, and look at me. And then think about his world. I can’t even make myself go to the shop most days, and he’s flying around the world, at the top of his sport, walking red carpets, getting papped at airports…”
Katie sobered a little, her eyes kind. “Yeah, but he followed you. And he’s still here.”
“I know,” Francesca whispered, resting her glass on the edge of the table. “But what could actually come of this? Realistically? His fans already hate me. Twitter made that very clear.”
There was silence for a beat.
Then Katie shrugged. “Okay, then maybe it’ll mean nothing. Or maybe… you just keep talking and see what happens. You don’t have to map out the next ten years right now.”
Francesca gave a small, tired smile. “I wish I could think like that.”
“You will,” Katie said confidently, nudging her shoulder. “Maybe not today. But eventually. And until then, I’ll be here to eat carbs and overanalyse his emojis with you.”
Francesca chuckled, leaning into the familiar comfort of her best friend.
—
After Katie left, Francesca moved around her flat in a soft, post-wine haze — putting away clean glasses, tucking the pizza box into the bin, flicking off the overhead lights in favour of the warm lamplight she always preferred. Henry had already curled up in his usual spot at the foot of her bed, purring faintly. The perfect white noise.
She changed into an oversized T-shirt, made herself a cup of peppermint tea she’d probably forget to drink, and slid under her duvet with her phone in hand — mostly to scroll aimlessly until she eventually fell asleep.
Instead, she found a new message waiting.
Instagram DM's — Oscar Piastri > Francesca Gold
Oscar Piastri Hi again :) sry for earlier Do you have any book recs for a birthday gift? It’s for my sister. I forgot to plan ahead. And you seem like the right person to ask.
Francesca stared at the message, then at the time: 11:42 PM. Her heart did that familiar, silly twist, and she pulled the duvet a little higher around her.
Francesca Gold hi. it’s fine any idea what she likes?
The reply came almost immediately.
Oscar Piastri Umm. She reads a lot Sometimes romance. Sometimes thrillers. She’s smarter than me. Is that a genre?
Francesca let out a fond laugh, covering her mouth so she wouldn’t startle Henry. She could picture him typing, awkward but earnest, and it was too endearing for her peace of mind.
Francesca Gold not a genre but i can work with that
She paused, fingers hovering over the keyboard. There was something oddly intimate about choosing a book for someone else. Like passing along a tiny piece of yourself.
She thought for a moment, then started typing again.
Francesca Gold okay — can i send you a link to a list?
Oscar Piastri Yes. 100%
Francesca Gold *goodreads list named ‘Oscar’s Sister’*
Oscar Piastri Found them all on amazon. Thank you! Should i tell her that her birthday books were chosen by her favourite booktuber? Haha
She stared at the first message.
There was no reason for her to be surprised. He was a professional athlete — of course he had money — but the list she’d thrown together in less than five minutes had at least twenty books on it. Twenty.
And he’d gone and bought them all.
She shook her head, incredulous.
Francesca Gold if you want what if she doesn’t like them?
Oscar Piastri Figured if she doesn’t like some, she’ll just lend them to me
Francesca when was the last time you read a book? be honest
Oscar Piastri Pre-prema days probably
She stared blankly at the words.
Francesca Gold i have no idea what that means. sorry
There was a short pause, then:
Oscar Piastri Cute :) Before I joined F1, I was in the lower formulas. I was with a team called Prema. That’s the last time I remember reading a book.
Cute. He’d called her cute.
She reread the message at least four times, just to be sure she hadn’t hallucinated it.
Nope. Still there.
She was blushing so hard it felt like her face might actually combust. It was ridiculous. Entirely inappropriate. She was a grown woman — a grown woman who’d once had a panic attack in a Tesco Express and was currently hiding under a weighted blanket like it might save her from the implications of the word cute.
This was uncharted territory. Dangerous, flirty territory. And the worst part?
She kind of liked it.
—
A week later, Oscar sat in front of the McLaren media backdrop, posture relaxed, eyes half-lidded beneath the bright spotlights. The interview had been going on for ten minutes. Same questions. Slightly different wording.
And then:
“Last one for you, Oscar — what’s something you’ve been enjoying lately? Doesn’t have to be racing-related. Music? TV? Podcasts?”
Oscar paused for a beat, lips twitching. “There’s this YouTuber I’ve been watching. She talks about books.” He shrugs, playing it off as casually as he can. “It’s kind of calming. I’ve been into that lately.”
He moved on to the next question, pointedly ignoring the deer-in-headlights stare from Lando.
—
Francesca hadn’t tuned in to watch any of the driver press conferences. She had too much editing to do and not enough time to get it all done before her deadlines.
She was knee-deep in timestamps, captions, and a particularly annoying bit of background noise she couldn’t quite scrub out when her phone buzzed once.
Then again. And again.
And then Katie texted her in all caps.
iMessage — Francesca & Katie
Katie: OSCAR. MENTIONED. YOU.
Katie: LIKE OUT LOUD. IN FRONT OF ACTUAL PEOPLE.
*link*
Feeling numb, she clicked the link and watched the 10-second clip.
And then she watched it again.
And again.
“There’s this YouTuber I’ve been watching. She talks about books. It’s kind of calming.”
No name. No direct reference. But the moment hung in the air like a secret someone had shouted through a megaphone. She almost laughed at the expression on Lando’s face — pure astonishment.
Her Instagram notifications were already spiralling. A few thousand new followers. Two brand accounts she’d never heard of trying to DM her. And someone had already screen-recorded the moment and posted it to Twitter.
“BOOKTUBE GIRLIE IS BOOKTUBING INTO OSCAR PIASTRI’S HEART”
“he’s so real for watching a comfort girl on youtube before bed”
“get her name now i want to see her tiktoks before the algorithm ruins it”
Francesca blinked at her phone.
Oh. That was… better than last time, at least.
Then again, they had no idea who she was yet. They were just blindly trusting their idols opinion. As soon as they looked further into her channel, watched a few videos, they’d realise that she wasn’t exactly… normal.
She swallowed thickly.
Her phone pinged with a message.
Katie:
You okay?
Francesca:
Yeah

Oscar Piastri Sorry. Hope that wasn’t weird Reckon I should’ve checked with you before I did that
She inhaled sharply, her fingers hovering over the keyboard.
Francesca Gold bit overwhelmed tbh but i like that you like my vids enough to actually talk about them
Oscar Piastri I really do Do you have any new ones coming soon? I'm travelling a lot over the next few weeks
She buried her face in her hands, sighing loudly.
Because she was smiling.
—
She wasn’t expecting it.
She’d woken up later than planned, face smooshed into her pillow, hair doing some kind of modern art sculpture around her head. Her phone was tucked under the duvet with her — a terrible habit — and she blinked at the bright screen as it buzzed once in her hand.
Oscar Piastri sent a voice message.
Her heart stopped. She stared at the notification with shock.
A voice message. At 8:13 a.m. On a Friday.
“No,” she whispered aloud, already flailing to sit up, which only caused Henry to jump down from her legs with a dramatic mrrrow of protest. “Henry. He’s sent us a voice note. A bloody voice note.”
Henry didn’t react.
She hesitated for a solid minute before pressing play, holding the phone just close enough that she could hear it, but far enough away that she could easily throw it across the room if she needed to. You know… precautions.
Oscar’s voice filtered through the speaker, low and rough with sleep, the edge of a yawn tangled in his tone.
“Morning. Sorry for the voice thing — texting felt like too much effort and I’m not awake enough to type properly yet. Just wanted to say thanks for the book ideas. She loved them. You’ve officially saved my status as Best Brother Ever.” There was a beat of silence, and then he added, quietly, “Hope you slept okay.”
And the message ended.
Francesca stared at her phone. “No.” She whispered.
Henry, now settled beside her again, chirped.
“No, Henry. You don’t understand. That was his morning voice. That’s like... illegal.” She choked out, feeling like she’d been turned inside-out.
Henry purred and rubbed his head against her phone.
She stared at her cat with bewilderment. “Oh my god. You like him. You like his voice.”
She pressed a hand to her chest and fell backward into her pillows.
“What do I even say to that?” she muttered to the ceiling. “Do I... send a voice note back? No. That’s psychotic. I don’t sound like… sexy. Not in the morning. Not any time.” She panicked.
Henry meowed again.
Before she could do anything, her phone lit up again—this time with a FaceTime call.
“Katie, no,” she groaned, but her thumb betrayed her and answered anyway.
Katie’s face appeared, framed by her usual messy bun and a spoon hanging out of her mouth. “Hey, I’m eating yoghurt and I just had a feeling.”
Francesca stared at her, incredulous. “What kind of psychic yoghurt-fuelled sixth sense do you have?”
“The kind that goes off when you ignore my morning text.” She squinted. “Why do you look like you’ve seen a ghost?”
Francesca wordlessly switched to the Instagram app and tapped to replay the voice note.
Katie leaned in, eyes wide. The moment Oscar’s gravelly morning voice hit the speaker, she dropped her spoon and sucked in a sharp breath.
“Oh my god,” she said, slow and reverent. “He sent you a bed voice note?”
“Don’t call it that.” Francesca hissed, absolutely mortified.
“What else do you want me to call it? He sounds like he literally just rolled out of bed and thought, ‘You know what? Let me send Francesca a little audio kiss to start her day.’”
Francesca curled into a tight ball of limbs. “Oh my god, shut up. He was thanking me for the book suggestions. It was innocent.”
“Babe. That voice was not innocent. That voice had vibes.”
Henry meowed from where he was curled up once again, clearly in agreement.
“Oh god,” Francesca muttered, forlorn at this turn of events. “Even Henry likes him.”
Katie beamed. “Because Henry’s got taste. Also, side note—you need to respond.”
“I can’t respond! What if I sound like a frog? What if I say something weird? I almost told him he has a nice voice and then realised I’d have to move to another country out of embarrassment.”
“If you don’t respond, I will,” Katie threatened, sitting cross-legged in her chair like she had all the power in the world.
Francesca’s eyes widened. “You wouldn’t.”
Katie raised a perfectly groomed brow. “I literally have your login, Francesca. Try me. I’ll tell him you fainted from the sheer sex appeal of his voice. I’ll sign it off with sparkles.”
Francesca gasped. “You are evil. Actual evil.”
“Not evil,” Katie said sweetly. “Just a manager who refuses to let her best friend fumble a flirtation with, arguably, the hottest F1 driver on the grid.”
Francesca hung up on her.
Rudely. Desperately. With the kind of energy reserved for someone trying to escape a burning building.
Then she went back to the Instagram app, thumb hovering over the little microphone icon. She stared at it for a full minute, heart pounding, brain spinning, stomach flipping.
She cleared her throat. Twice.
And then, because thinking only made things worse, she closed her eyes… and spoke.
“Hi, um. Sorry—voice notes are terrifying, but you sent one first, so… fair’s fair?” She winced at her own voice. “Anyway. I hope your sister really did like the books. If she didn’t, that’s totally okay. You don’t have to pretend. I won’t be offended. Probably.”
Her cheeks were on fire now. She forced herself to keep going.
“I also Googled Prema. I knew you’d won F2 and F3, but I had no idea what teams you’d driven for. So…” She laughed under her breath, light and awkward. “Anyway. Thanks for the voice note. You—uh, have a nice voice. Okay. Bye.”
She hit send before she could stop herself, phone clutched to her chest.
Henry turned to stare at her.
“Oh, don’t look at me like that,” she muttered, flopping sideways. “You’d be a mess too if a ridiculously handsome Australian race car driver voice-noted you.”
Her phone buzzed almost instantly, a message that time. Thank god. She wasn’t sure how much more deep, manly Australian accent she could handle.
Oscar Piastri I definitely win for most awkward voice note. Yours was cute. Also, she loved the books. You’re 1 for 1.
She smiled so hard it hurt.
Francesca Gold what’s her instagram user?

ease || Lando Norris
Inspiration: Troye Sivan "Ease"
Author's note: First off – just like DTS, the F1 season of 2019 was dramatized to fit the narrative better. I tried to tie it to the events that actually happened as best as I could, but when you actually look at the season, Lando wasn't bad – the car was. Hope you like it.
Pairing: Lando Norris x Reader
Warnings: Anxiety, declining mental health.
Summary: Amid the highs and lows of a debut Formula 1 season, Lando navigates the pressures of the sport, self-doubt, and the weight of expectations. Through late-night phone calls and quiet moments of vulnerability, he finds solace in the one person who sees beyond the headlines.
Word count: 2k+

[Phone ringing…]
"Lando?? Hii!"
"Hey, you answered!" He grinned, leaning back against the couch.
"Of course I did! It’s your first Grand Prix of the year! I’m literally getting ready to go to Oliver’s and watch it." A pause. "Also, you called me, so you expected me to be up, didn’t you?"
"Yeah… but I kinda thought you’d still be asleep."
"I couldn’t. The nerves barely let me." A small pause. "Speaking of which—how are you feeling?"
"Oh, the nerves are definitely there. Jon’s been on my case about it. I barely slept and just forced down breakfast. Outqualifying Carlos was bold, and now I’m wedged between Kimi and Kevin… Those guys have years of experience. It’s gonna be tough to hold my own. I know no one expects me to land a podium, but, you know… a point would be nice."
"Oh, come on, Lando. It’s your first career race as a holder of an F1 seat! You’re not a reserve anymore, but you can’t hold yourself to such a high standard already. I know you hate losing, and I know being here is your dream, but please—keep it realistic."
"I know, I know." He exhaled. "But that’s the thing – I love this. The nerves are there, sure, but the excitement? It’s bigger. I’ve been dreaming about this since I was a kid, and now it’s happening. It’s surreal. Like… I was just a fan, and now I’m in it."
"And that’s exactly why you need to enjoy it, Lando. Whether you finish in the points or not, everyone will be proud of you just for crossing that line. I’m already proud."
Lando chuckled softly. "Look at you, being my best cheerleader."
"I am! And you don’t give yourself enough credit for what you’ve done. You created this life for yourself. Now live it. To the fullest. Don’t let expectations steal the joy from you."
There was a quiet beat between them. Lando let the words sink in before murmuring, "Thanks."
"Anytime."
He glanced at the clock. "I should probably get going."
"Yeah. But Lando?"
"Hm?"
"Enjoy it. Every second of it."
A slow, growing smile spread across his face. "I will."
The call ended, but the words lingered.
_____________
[Phone ringing…]
"Hola, chica."
"Thank God, Lando." She exhaled sharply. "You’re alright?"
"Yeah, of course. Not a bruise on me. Just... gutted."
"I figured. It looked like quite the crash." A pause. "Obviously, I’m relieved you’re okay. Lance is as well, I guess?"
"Oh yeah, not a scratch."
"Lando–"
"I’m just really upset, you know?" He let out a breath, frustration laced in his voice. "I was already gutted after what happened in China, but at least then, I knew I didn’t do anything wrong. And today? Today, I did exactly what Kvyat did. I took someone out of the race. It wasn’t intentional, but… it doesn’t matter. I still feel like shit."
"Lando, accidents happen."
"I know." His voice dropped. "But that doesn’t help. What if McLaren thinks they made a mistake signing me? Maybe I should’ve stayed a reserve driver for another season, learned more before jumping in."
A silence stretched between them before he muttered, "All this driving is driving me crazy, actually."
Her heart clenched. "Oh, my sweet Lando… You’re doing it again, aren’t you? Beating yourself up over things that are part of the learning process?"
He didn’t answer right away. She could hear him shifting around, the rustle of fabric as he lay back against something.
"You’ve had, what? Five races?" she continued. "So what if half of them didn’t go as planned? Two of them did! You scored points, even outscored Carlos once. Do you really think McLaren doesn’t see that? That they’re not excited about what you’re bringing to the team? You’re learning. Even if today feels like a disaster, it’s just a part of the curve—"
"A really fucking steep curve."
"Maybe. But it’s still just a curve."
A heavy sigh left his lips.
"I appreciate your pep talks more than you know." He hesitated before adding, "I’m just… tired. And alone." His voice softened. "Maybe you’ll join me for the French GP? It’s not that far from home…"
She sighed. "Lando, I’m stuck at uni. Even Silverstone might be a struggle. But… I’ll try my best."
"Yeah." He let out a quiet chuckle. "Figured that was a long shot."
"But you’re coming home tomorrow, right?"
"I am, but I heard we have to go straight to MTC. They want us to go over everything, break it all down so we can learn from these mistakes. Might not have much time at home."
"We’ll figure something out, okay?"
"Yeah. Okay."
A beat of silence, then she sighed. "Look, I have to go. I have a shift at the cafĂŠ. But, Lando?"
"Yeah, baby?"
"Please take care of yourself."
A pause. Then, softer than before– "I’ll try."
_____________
[Phone ringing…]
"Hi, Lan, sorry—I was just on the phone with Cisca."
"Oh, so that’s how we’re catching up now, huh? Interrogating my mother?"
"Actually," she paused briefly, "it was the other way around."
A beat of silence.
"What do you mean?" His confusion was audible.
"She’s worried about you. Especially after today. And…" she hesitated, unsure of how he’d take it, "she thinks you’re not being honest about how hard this lifestyle really is on you."
A sigh. A shift of fabric.
"And what did you say to her?" His voice was careful, guarded.
"I didn’t throw you under the bus, if that’s what you’re thinking." She let out a small breath. "But Lan… she knows. She’s your mother. Of course, she knows. And honestly? I think she’s right."
"Right about what?"
"That it’s taking a toll on you, even if you won’t admit it." A pause. "And that you’re not talking to anyone about it. Not even me."
"Listen–"
"It’s okay, Lando, I get it." Her tone softened. "You’ve always been the one to brush things off, to keep things light, to act like none of this weighs you down. But I know you too well for that. I see it, even if you don’t say it."
A silence stretched between them. For a moment, she thought he had hung up.
Then–
"When the paparazzi swarmed me today, when they kept pushing and shouting questions about the car, my career, if I thought I was failing—" he exhaled sharply, his voice falling quieter, as if he was telling a secret. "I thought, ‘I’m afraid of the life that I’ve made.’"
Her heart clenched.
"I knew what I was stepping into. I dreamt about this. But I never imagined people could be so cruel, so invasive. And then there’s all the articles, all the headlines about McLaren’s downfall, and guess whose face they always put next to them? Not Carlos. Me."
"That’s bullshit, what they are doing."
"It is." His voice was raw. "I get that Carlos is performing better, but blaming everything on me? Acting like I’m the reason the team is struggling? It’s just… unfair."
"You’re right. It is unfair." She wanted to reach through the phone, to shake him, to remind him of how much he’d already accomplished. "But tell me, Lando – what can we do? How can I help? How can your family, your friends… what do you need?"
Another pause. Then, softer–
"I don’t know."
But at least for the first time, he didn’t brush her off.
She held onto that small win and carried on. "Well, your parents are coming to France and Austria." A beat. "And I’m doing everything in my power to join you in Silverstone."
He let out a breath, but she wasn’t done.
"Lando, what people say online? It’s bullshit. They don’t know you. They see what they want to see, and they make judgments from the outside. Don’t give them the power to decide how you feel about yourself."
Silence hummed between them for a moment before he muttered, almost to himself, "I just realized that on top of everything, I’m a shit boyfriend. I didn’t even ask you how uni is going."
She huffed, exasperated. "Bullshit talking again, Lan."
A small, tired chuckle from his end.
"Call me an idiot, or just in love, but you are the best thing that has ever happened to me." Her voice softened. "And my struggles? They’re practically nonexistent compared to yours. I don’t have the whole world judging my every step."
A deep breath, a sigh.
"That doesn’t mean they don’t matter."
"Chill, we catch on to my boring life plenty. Same old, not failing and exams are coming at the end of June. I will be fine. As long as you are."
____________
[Phone ringing…]
[Phone ringing…]
[Phone ringing…]
"Lando, thank God you picked up. Talk to me, please"
On her end, the faint hum of the city – cars rushing past, muffled voices, footsteps against pavement. On his end? Nothing.
A shaky breath. Then – his voice, barely above a whisper. "I just don’t think I can do it anymore."
He hated admitting it. Hated how the words tasted like failure on his tongue. But God, he was so tired of trying to hide it.
Her grip on the phone tightened.
It was just one article. One goddamn article. McLaren considering a lineup change. His picture plastered all over it. He didn’t even read the full thing—if he had, he would’ve seen it was about 2021, about Sainz’s contract coming to an end, about how McLaren needed to step up to keep Carlos.
But he never got that far.
The comments were enough.
That McLaren made a mistake promoting him. That he was too young. That he was the reason McLaren kept failing.
He swallowed. She could hear it.
"What if they are right? What if stepping down would be the most mature thing to do. McLaren believed in me so much, I can’t help feeling like I’m failing them."
"Lando, you are not failing anyone. That article wasn’t even about you."
"You just say that to make me feel better.” A humorless chuckle. “Maybe I’m not cut out for this?"
"Stop. You are at the hotel, right?"
"Yes."
Silence stretched between them. He exhaled shakily, bracing himself for whatever comfort she was about to offer – except before he could even process her question, there was a hard knock against his door.
"Are you–?" His voice, laced with disbelief.
"Open the door."
He heard it both coming through the door and the phone.
His heart stuttered. With hesitant steps, he unlocked the door, and the moment it swung open, she was there – standing in front of him, eyes scanning his face, taking him in. And he must’ve looked like shit, because she didn’t hesitate.
The door clicked shut behind them as she dropped the handbag and stepped forward, wrapping herself around him. No hesitation, no questions. Just warmth.
He froze for half a second before melting into it, arms tightening around her, his cheek resting against the top of her head. Her touch was comforting. She smelled like home. Like the one place where nothing hurt.
She buried her face in his chest as she spoke softly. "You are none of the things internet trolls make you out to be. Your family and friends are rooting for you every time you cross that line, whether it’s P6 or DNF. Your team? They believe in you, you weren’t offered the seat by mistake or pure luck, it was your skill that guaranteed that. Carlos?" She hesitated for a beat. "He’s extremely proud to have you as a teammate, you keep him on his toes, and he’s worried sick about you."
His brows furrowed. "Carlos?"
"Before you say anything, I’ve been keeping in touch with him since you introduced us in Silverstone, he was just keeping an eye on you. How do you think I knew which room to go to?" She let out a small chuckle. "He cares about you, Lan. We all do."
He didn’t respond. He didn’t have to. He just held on tighter, like letting go would send him spiraling again.
"This bullshit will pass. Don’t let them win. You don’t shut them up by stepping down, Lan. You do it by proving them wrong."
She could feel his breathing slow, the way his shoulders – usually burdened with the weight of the world – dropped ever so slightly. Maybe things wouldn’t miraculously get better overnight. Maybe the doubt wouldn’t disappear in a snap.
But he still felt the fragile sense of ease building in his chest.

You couldn’t lose each other
Summary: You were pregnant, then you weren’t.
Warnings: ANGST, pregnancy, miscarriage, mention of character death, mention of “putting someone down”, soft Merle, on purpose asshole Daryl, blood, hurt, mental instability, hurt, stubborn main characters, loss, grief, and maybe more. 18+, MINORS DO NOT INTERACT!
A/N: I never experienced miscarriage and am writing everything based on my knowledge through series, movies, soap operas and books, so it may have inaccuracies. If you are sensible to any of those topics please don’t read, your mental health is more important!
Tumblr media
It had started about a week ago, heavy dizziness and morning sickness (which didn’t happen exactly only in the morning). On top of that your period was late, which you tried to atribute to the sub nutrition all of you went through while on the road, but as soon as other symptoms started… you knew it was probably other thing.
You went on a run with Daryl to get more baby formula for Jude and just discreetly added a pregnancy test on your backpack, in a part you hoped Daryl wouldn’t look because he never did. As soon as you got to the prison and had some alone time you risked yourself going somewhere, no one would see you or find you, to pee on the damn thing and find the truth. The truth was… you knew it, you didn’t need a test, you were undoubtedly and very much pregnant.
One end of afternoon, Merle sat by your side and didn’t bother to tip toe around you. “When are ya gonna tell ‘im?”
“What?” He took you back with his question.
“When are ya telling my brother ya’re with his baby?” Your eyes widened at his question. “Daryl ain’t the only one with observation skills. Who ya think taught him everything? I saw the symptoms and the pregnancy test you hid on your pocket the other day.”
“Fuck you Dixons.”
“Ya already do it to one of us.” He sassy replied, you rolled your eyes as usually happened during your banters.
“Soon. I’m just waiting the whole governor thing end. He already has too much to worry about, he’ll freak out if I tell him now. He’ll probably put me on bubble of safety and not let me do anything.” You stated, Daryl could have the rough exterior but both of you knew how he was, how he cared about people. Also he had changed so much the last months, and it was for the better. “Don’t tell him, let me do it.”
“Al’ight.” He surprised you, you had learned how to deal with Merle, but he wasn’t the same asshole as before. Still an asshole though. “It’ll be good have a mini Dixon around. I’ll help to keep ya’ll safe.”
“I know, you can be a jerk sometimes but I know you care about your family.” You gave the older Dixon a small smile and squeezed his hand to reassure him. That had been one of the nicest things he ever told you and coming from Merle, that was a lot.
Tumblr media
The governor had asked for Michonne to leave your group alone, you didn’t believe a word of it it, but Merle did or at least he had to try. That morning he disappeared with her and all of you knew what he was up to. Daryl went after them, you wanted to go too but of course he wouldn’t “allow” you.
Some time after, Michonne arrived, alone. You asked about Merle and Daryl, and she told everything that happened with Merle. He had set her free and went by himself. It wouldn’t end up well, you could feel it in your guts, and your feeling just confirmed to be true when Daryl arrived alone.
Everyone gathered around him to know what happened and he told you with teary eyes. The others left to give both of you some time.
“Daryl, I’m sorry.” You said, both of your hands cupping his face, he averted your eyes. “Hey, look at me.”
“Leave me alone…” he grumply answered trying to get out of your grasp.
“We’re together in this, huh? I’m here for you, we both cared about Merle.” He snorted.
“Ya cared about Merle? Ya never liked him!”
That wasn’t true, he knew it wasn’t. He was hurt, he had to put his brother down, there wasn’t anyone else that could do it for him, even if there was… it had to be him. Somehow, in his abused mind, he thought it was all his fault. Merle died because he wanted to be a better person, he wanted to protect his little brother as much as he could in this fucked up world, and that was the way he found to do it. It was just a matter of time for you to do the same and it would be entirely his fault if you ended like Merle. You were the last thing he had from the old world. You were the only good thing he had, and if he had to push you away to keep you alive, that was what he was going to do, because he couldn’t afford living in a world without you.
“This isn’t true, Daryl. You’re hurting, I get it…” he cut your speaking before you could finish.
“Ya don’t. Ya never will!” He distanced himself when you tried to touch his arm. “We should break up.”
“What?!”
“Ya heard it.” He confirmed.
“Ok, when you’re not speaking no sense we can talk, I know you’re not ok, but there’s a limit of shit I can take.” You wouldn’t continue to insist on it if he was going to continue acting like that. You knew he was suffering, but so were you and he was being a prick.
“There ain’t gonna be another talk. I said what I said.” Those words left his mouth as if they were nothing, but each of them felt like a knife in his throat.
“Is it really the moment for you to dump me?” You knew he was emotionally unstable, no one make good decisions like this.
“Did I stutter?” The moment he threw the harsh words, he knew he had got what he wanted, the hurt in your eyes pained in his chest and this time he was sure he had lost you for good.
Tumblr media
Since that day, you didn’t talk to him and he also ignored you. You asked Rick to not put you both working together anymore. You moved your things to Carol’s cell, now also your cell. Woodbury had fallen, now the survivors of the town had joined you at the prison.
Your little secret was still yours, or sort of… Carol was a mother. She went through all the shit you were going through, all of you saw Lori going through it. She knew it already, but didn’t tell you anything until one week after everything that happened.
She asked you, “aren’t you telling him?”
This time you didn’t even got surprised and already knew what she was talking about. “No.”
“And when it starts to show?”
“I’ll tell I just fucked someone and was too drunk to remember.” You stubbornly replied.
“You’re being childish, he deserves to know.” She was right, but you were tired and emotionally damaged already.
“ ‘cause he’s being a fucking kid too. I get it, he’s suffering, but he needs to stop hurting people every time he’s hurt. It’s time he grows up and man up.” You said arms crossed.
“You know his past better than I, I thought you from all the people would understand.” The older woman wisely said.
“Carol, I appreciate your concern, he’s your friend too, but you don’t understand.” You said, was it you? Was it the hormones? You couldn’t know. “Please, don’t tell him. It’s not your place to do it.”
“I won’t. You’re the one that should do it.” As soon as she answered, she left you alone.
Tumblr media
One week later, or a little more, it seemed like Rick had forgotten his promise that he wouldn’t put you ti work with Daryl as he put both of you on fence duty to kill the walkers. Ok, there were more people with you, but you couldn’t help but feel yourself being watched and you knew the weight of his stare. You could feel it in your soul. Also, you couldn’t help yourself and from time to time look at him, because you would be a liar if you said you didn’t love him anymore or that you didn’t find him handsome and attractive, and what’s beautiful was made to look at.
It was middle of the morning, even though it was starting to get cold the sun was strong for whoever was working under it. You had sweat and few stains of blood from the walkers you had killed through the fence. You were feeling extra tired, you thought it was because pregnant women got more sleepy, so you didn’t think about it so much.
Some minutes after you felt a sharp pain on your lower stomach. Weird. ‘Please let it just be a stomachache or gases’, you thought.
You continued working then you felt the pain in the same place but sharper. ‘Please, don’t let it be anything with my baby’, you thought again.
You kept doing your job, this time more slowly as you felt the pain irradiating through your body, until you felt a stabbing pain in the same place and something hot going down your legs. You looked down and saw blood. “NO!”
You shouted and that called people’s attention Daryl’s specially. He looked at you and all he could see was blood. Did you hurt yourself with the weapon? Did the governor came back and wounded you? Did somehow a walker managed to bite you?
“Nooo-hooo-ooo.” You shouted cried throwing yourself to the ground.
In seconds he was kneeling by your side. “Hey, hey, look at me. What is it? What happened, doll?”
“I lost it.” You said, crying more at your realization. “I lost it.”
“What did ya lose, babe?” He asked, he thought you were delirious due to the blood loss. His hands around your face trying to make you look at him, trying to ground you. He was panicking, where were you hurt? Was he going to loose you anyway and he had spent the last weeks loosing his time with you?
You cried. “Our baby, I lost our baby.” You said between sobs.
It hit him like a punch on his stomach. You said your baby, a baby from both of you, a baby he didn’t know existed, a baby that… his abused mind played with him again. A baby that could be possibly gone because of him. “Stay with me, love. I’m taking care of you.” Who were you? Just you? You and the baby? Was there any chance this was a weird bleeding but the baby would still be ok? He didn’t know. He knew nothing about it.
He didn’t think twice, he took you in his arms and started running. “HERSHEL!” He yelled the doctor’s name again and again, until he found him and had you in the infirmary.
Before getting to the infirmary you had passed out, maybe it was the shock or it could also be the blood loss, you’d never know.
Hershel examined you. Daryl stayed all the time by your side, making questions to the doctor. Teary eyes while he explained everything. You were indeed pregnant, and yes, you had lost the baby. Daryl’s hopes were shattered at pieces, he cried. He the big rough man that didn’t like to show his emotions cried, it was Hershel. He was a friend. He was family after all.
After making sure nothing had stayed in your uterus, the old man had a talk with the younger one. Hershel made sure Daryl knew it wasn’t his fault, at this point he already knew the archer well and knew he was guilting himself for it. He ensured it was something that could happen at this early stage, you were at the maximum 2 months pregnant according to the tissue your body expelled from you. That small tissue was what would be your baby. The feeding poor in nutrients could have harmed your body, it was pretty much a disorder in your uterus so that happened. There was no one to blame, besides the end of the world.
Tumblr media
Some time had passed when you woke up, you were as much as clean as they could got you and you had warm feeling on your right hand. You looked to your side and you saw Daryl worried and guilty eyes.
“It’s not your fault.” You said. You remembered everything.
“Maybe.” He said, even if Hershel had already reassured him. “But it doesn’t make it less worse. I could have lived it with ya for the little time we had.”
“I was the one that didn’t tell you.” You turned to your side and extended your left arm till you were touching his face. “I’m sorry.”
“I AM sorry.” He said giving emphasis to that. “I… I dun know what I was thinking.”
“I know.” You knew he was lost at that moment, but it didn’t hurt you less when he pushed you away and both of you needed each other. “Merle wasn’t your fault. The baby neither.”
At the mention of Merle’s name and the baby, your voice quivered and the tears threatened to leave your eyes, and they did. They fell from your eyes and you couldn’t do anything about it. “I ain’t pushing ya away anymore. I… I was so afraid of losing ya too.” Tears also slipped on his face.
“Merle was happy, he knew he was going to be an uncle.” You remembered the conversation you had with him the day before he sacrificed himself. “He noticed it and asked me about it. I was going to tell you when the governor shit was over.”
You also felt guilty about Merle’s death. You knew sometimes he didn’t take some smart decisions, but did he tried to face it all alone because he also wanted to be a better person to his nephew or niece? He had told you he would protect all of you.
You sobbed. You both cried together, now your arms thrown around his neck and your face hiding in it. You both had lost too much already, you couldn’t afford losing anything else. You couldn’t lose each other.

⍝Formula One Racer!Hongjoong⍝
TW: nothing, except similarities to the 2021 season lol
Word count: 3,2k
A/N: So, I did something, again...*sigh*. This is for you Orsi bestie, I hope it reaches your expectations lol. This is like the 2021 F1 season without the injustice---anyways, I'm not here to get murdered by the F1 fandom, love y'all. Can't believe I wrote a Red Bull driver story, ew lol. Hope you all enjoy, and feedback is appreciated!!
Tumblr media
It had been a gut-wrenching and nerve wrecking season this year’s fight for the championship. At times, I couldn’t help but wonder how Hongjoong was doing it all—keeping his mental health in check and letting loose at times while completely focusing on winning first place as many times as he could, securing himself in the Driver’s Championship. It was truly difficult. The car was very good, everything having ran smoothly after the summer break when a few final adjustments and changes had been done to the automobile, making the Red Bulls the quickest on the grid. However, Kang Yeosang, his biggest rival at the moment sat in an equal machinery, closely following Hongjoong on his tail. Each Grand Prix resulted with the two battling for first position in the driver’s standings, sometimes resulting in disqualifying the other by an incident—or in worst case scenario, by crashing into each other. Watching Hongjoong’s car get almost flipped as it went over Yeosang’s car had been one of the most horrific moments of my life, heart clenching and heartbeat halting as my breath caught in my throat, eyes wide in terror as all I could do was watch my fiancé through the screen of the TV, unable to do anything as I was seated between the mechanics in the Red Bull garage. It was an involuntary action as I jumped up to my feet with a loud gasp, everyone tense around me as we watched Hongjoong’s car glide over Yeosang’s, getting halfway suspended over it. Nobody moved nor breathed. I could see Yeosang moving as the camera zoomed in on them, thankfully he seemed to be fine, the halo around the car having protected his head from anything severe, but Hongjoong still gave no signs of life. I could feel my hands tremble as I looked at the mechanic next to me helplessly, who’s face looked just as worried as mine. And then, there came the shout from someone who stood next to Hongjoong’s engineer, letting us know that Hongjoong spoke on the radio and said that he was fine, slightly sore. Everything that happened afterwards was a blur, my head felt in a haze as Hongjoong was taken to the local hospital for a regular check-up to make sure he suffered no serious injuries. I was rushed to the hospital with him and after he was taken to a private room to rest for a bit, I was finally allowed to see him. I couldn’t help but let out a long sigh and pause in the doorway as Hongjoong was lazily flicking through the TV channels, probably searching for the one broadcasting the Formula One race still on-going. Upon hearing the door open, he turned his head and looked at me, features instantly softening when he saw my face. I couldn’t help but rush up to him and almost fall into his arms as he had opened them, waiting for me to reach him. The tears escaped my eyes involuntarily as I buried my head in Hongjoong’s neck, inhaling his familiar scent mixed with sweat. Hongjoong’s arms wrapped around me tightly and he started rubbing up and down my back, resting his chin on the top of my head.
“I’m alright, don’t cry.” He whispered, voice soft and I sniffed, my body finally relaxing. He was fine, he was holding me in his arms. He was breathing, talking, and hugging me. He was alive, and that’s what mattered, “I’m sorry for scaring you this much. The crash wasn’t as harsh as it seemed on TV, I’ve seen the replays.”
I shook my head and allowed my hand to raise to the back of his head, fingers tangling in his smooth hair, “Hongjoong, it looked horrible. I—I was so scared. I don’t ever again want to see you get into a crash. You have to be more careful, let Yeosang pass if you see he’s being aggressive—”
“That won’t happen, darling, you know I can’t let him pass.” Hongjoong’s voice hardened slightly at the mention of his rival, “If he wants to race hard, then we will race hard, I’m not the one to back down.”
“Look where it got you!” I pulled my head back, eyebrows furrowed as I stared into Hongjoong’s cat-like eyes. His own eyebrows were furrowed but he just sighed, averting his gaze.
“I’m alive, Y/N, it’s all that matters.” I couldn’t help but shudder at his words and Hongjoong noticed, face instantly morphing into regret. I couldn’t even fathom the thought of losing him to a fatal crash. He wouldn’t be the first, nor the last. Formula One was a dangerous sport, and your life was the only one at stake, “Sorry.”
Hongjoong muttered and I just shook my head, letting out a long sigh. He offered me a warm smile as he cupped my cheek and leaned down, pulling my head closer to his. My eyes fluttered close as Hongjoong’s warm lips pressed against mine and he kissed me tenderly, pouring an apology and a promise into the kiss. He was sorry, and he’d be more careful. I could live with that, even if I knew Hongjoong was a ruthless racer, fearless. His driving style set him apart from everyone, sharp in the corners and quick on the straights, not many could catch up to him. His defense was crazy and he always found the impossible spots for overtakes, making them possible, halting everyone’s heartbeats who were cheering for him. He was exceptional, legendary. People knew his name. People loved him and rooted for him. Some people even wanted to be him…or to be with him. But Hongjoong is a humble man, proud of what he has achieved so far and even more hard working and determined to earn more and more. And he is loyal, loving, and caring. Always by my side and on my side, shielding me from blind hatred and senseless drama. He had everything he wanted and needed, many envied him for that. Yet, Hongjoong only had one goal in his mind: win his first Championship. Become the Captain everyone seemed to be calling him, leader of his generation, an icon in motor racing. And all I could do was stand by his side and encourage him, bring him up when he felt like he couldn’t go anymore, comfort him when things went south and most importantly…love him for who he was. I smiled into the kiss as Hongjoong started rubbing my cheek lovingly, reassuring me that he was here and that he wasn’t going anywhere anytime soon.
Tumblr media
But the game never stops nor does the race, not until the season ends. And today was the final Grand Prix, in Abu Dhabi, the last race which would go down in the history books, often talked about, always remembered. Yeosang and Hongjoong had equal points. However wins tonight, becomes the World Champion. It would be Yeosang’s second, and Hongjoong’s first title. The tension was palpable in the air and everyone in the garage was tense as everything was set up for the race. Hongjoong was placing his weight from one leg to another, jaw clenching and unclenching often. He looked mad, but he was only nervous. I knew him well, I could read him like the back of my hand. He was wearing his dark blue undies, the color specific to the Red Bull Racing team, with his overalls hanging low on his hips, the sleeves tied around it to keep it more in place. His costume was tight fitting, accentuating each muscle and curve of his body, his abs slightly defined by the shirt he was wearing. He had recently dyed his hair a darker purple, but it has faded out and now looked closer to the color of a grape. I watched from distance as he spoke to one of his mechanic’s, eyebrows furrowed and pointing at something on the car. He was frustrated, grip tightening around the Red Bull can he had to drink water from in order to show off the sponsor. The mechanic seemed to be a bit lost and I could see Hongjoong’s frustration morph slowly into irritation and anger, so I decided to step in quickly as I walked up to them. I allowed my hand to sneak up on his shoulder and squeeze lightly in order to get his attention. Hongjoong looked at me from the corner of his eyes before sighing and looking at the mechanic defeated.
“Fine, do as you think is best, but if I lose tonight—know it’s on you.” And then Hongjoong walked off to his PR manager, who was calling for him as he had to do one last interview before the race would start. The mechanic looked rather pale as I looked at him and offered him a small smile.
“He’s just very stressed, he didn’t mean that.” I reassured the mechanic, but it didn’t seem to work so I tried again, “Hongjoong will win tonight.”
“Yeah, he better.” The mechanic muttered before walking off and I went back to my seat, watching Hongjoong again as he spoke to the reporter, still looking irritated but hiding it well with a few charming smiles and light chuckles. I tried to keep it together for him, but I was a nervous wreck. The last three nights have been almost sleepless for the both of us, Hongjoong tossing and turning every few minutes as sleep never caught up with him. I would’ve been able to sleep, but I quickly absorbed his mood and it turned me restless too, leading to a few really bad nights as Hongjoong and I had to sleep in separate rooms, too on edge around each other. There was nothing wrong, it’s just that we were too in tune with each other’s feelings, and if I was feeling anxious it could throw him off his concentration and turn him into a nervous wreck as well, in such dire situation, such thing like that wasn’t allowed. Hongjoong had to fully commit and focus, his eyes set on the prize already. As he finished the interview he quickly pulled on his dark blue overall and zipped it up, headed my way. I smiled at him warmly and he stopped across from me, the high table between our bodies putting a distance between us. He fumbled with his fingers and I knew he didn’t know what to say, he was just in need of a little comfort. So, I reached across the table and held his hand in mine, giving it a reassuring squeeze. No words needed to be exchanged as Hongjoong sighed loudly, Yeosang’s laughter echoing around the garage as he had passed by the Red Bull garage with his engineer and two mechanics. Yeosang seemed to be dealing a lot better with tonight’s stressful Grand Prix, but we paid him no mind as Hongjoong rounded the high table and came closer to me, fingers intertwining with mine. The cold Ruby of my engagement ring pressed into my flesh and I felt Hongjoong play with it, a habit which always seemed to calm him down a bit. I beamed up at him and it made Hongjoong smile as he leaned down, pressing a kiss against my forehead. I sighed in contentment as he pulled back, determination glossing over his eyes. There he was, my little racer.
“I love you.” I whispered to him as Hongjoong smirked, pulling his shoulders back and letting go of my hand. He shook his arms out and cracked his neck, going to the side to stretch as he sent me a flying kiss, making me giggle.
The loud roaring of men around me deafened me for a few seconds, mouth hung open and eyes wide like two saucers as I stared at the TV screen, my heartbeat probably non-existent at this point. My hands were shaking, my body was shivering, my eyes were filling with tears. My stomach was twisting and despite standing up, my right leg wouldn’t stop bouncing. My arms were thrown behind my head as I gripped onto my nape, biting my lower lip as anxiety coursed through my veins, adrenaline flowing in my bloodstream. All throughout the race it has been a cat and mouse game between Yeosang and Hongjoong. One time one was ahead, then the other, constantly battling for that first place. I couldn’t imagine what Hongjoong was currently feeling, but I knew I was on the brink of passing out. The cheers of the men around me were due to Hongjoong overtaking Yeosang in the second to last corner, having braked later. It was the last lap of the Grand Prix, everything mattered right now. Every little twitch of the wheel, a little slip of the car or of your attention. I couldn’t help but yelp as Yeosang gained advantage on Hongjoong again, the front wing of his car almost bumping into the back of Hongjoong’s as Yeosang drove aggressively, but Hongjoong defended just as fiercely. Hongjoong’s brother was a mess next to me as he kept cursing, their parents clutching each other’s hands as Hongjoong’s mother kept closing her eyes, muttering a prayer every once in a while. His father despite looking composed was shaking worse than me, eyes constantly wide as he gazed up at the big screen of the TV. My breath caught in my throat as Yeosang and Hongjoong took the last turn, Yeosang’s car slightly more ahead in the corner as he Hongjoong miscalculated the turn for some reason, and a collective gasp broke through the garage as Yeosang was now more ahead with his front wing. Nobody moved, nobody said anything as the cars sped towards the finish line, checkered flag waved crazily in the air, everyone excited for the outcome. And then, Yeosang’s car slightly lost its back, but it wasn’t anything vital as he quickly regained control and continued on pushing as if nothing happened. However, this allowed Hongjoong to slightly pass him, his front wing passing Yeosang’s, cars dangerously close side by side as they raced towards the finish line. And there it was, the victory right in front of their hands as they both crossed the finish line, seemingly in the same position, neither more forward nor backward than the other. I felt my body go limp as everyone went quiet, even the commentators, awaiting for the result. The picture came only seconds later, sent in by the race juries, broadcasted upon everyone’s screens as I could hear Hongjoong’s engineer scream into their radio from his place from the pit wall.
“Hongjoong!  You’re World Champion! Kim Hongjoong, you have won!”
And then, everyone screamed and jumped up, female and male voices mixing together as the grandstands broke into a roar of Hongjoong’s name, the fireworks going off and putting an end to this exhausting season. I barely realized, mind in shock and body frozen mid-yelp, as my body was lifted off the ground and I was whirled around as Hongjoong’s brother clutched me, cheering loudly as both of their parents cried. I couldn’t help but follow them, bawling my eyes out as I started laughing, Hongjoong’s brother carefully placing me down as the mechanics and the Red Bull team gathered in a circle and started shouting, hyping themselves up even more. My ears were ringing but I couldn’t really care about that as the TV showed Hongjoong’s car stopping at the finish line, Hongjoong hauling himself out of the car. My feet were moving before my mind could process what was happening, the mechanics ran through the pit and jumped over the fence as they ambushed Hongjoong, cheering and gripping onto him as he struggled to take off his helmet. I stood by the fence, wiping my tears away as Hongjoong’s brother jumped over and offered to help me over as well, his own hands shaking as he took my shaky ones in his. As my feet landed on the ground again, my eyes went to Hongjoong as he was down on his knees, forehead touching his car, body shaking. He was crying, I knew he was crying and it made me cry again as I consciously now walked towards him, his mechanics and team making space for me as I called out his name, my own raspy voice foreign to myself. I haven’t even realized I have screamed so much tonight until now.
“Hongjoong!” I called out again and he was suddenly up on his feet, sobs erupting from his mouth as his body collided against mine harshly as we ran up to each other, his arms caging me against himself in a bear hug, swaying us side to side as he continued sobbing into my neck, my own tears flowing heavier than they have been. All tension lifted from my body as I clutched onto my boyfriend with desperation, finally feeling the well deserved happiness and contentment wash over myself as I squealed, starting to jump up and down, making Hongjoong mirror me. He was laughing as he let out a loud shout of satisfaction, grabbing my thighs and bringing them around his middle as I yelped and held onto him tightly, getting whirled around as Hongjoong shouted loudly. I couldn’t help but laugh and press a messy kiss against his lips, our mouths unable to stop smiling as I felt love, adrenaline, happiness mix together and create an euphoric feeling in my brain and body.
“You’re a fucking World Champion, Kim Hongjoong!” I screamed and he threw his head back and laughed, mouth pulled into a wide smirk as his hands tightened around my thighs, “You are the World Champion!”
Hongjoong let out another deep shout as he swiftly placed me down on the ground and was instantly tackled into a tight hug by his brother then followed by their parents, the four of them huddled together as they celebrated briefly the victory of their beloved Hongjoong. And I couldn’t help but look around and take in the crowd, everyone ecstatic as they watched Hongjoong and the Red Bull team, jumping up and down and chanting his name. Proudness swelled in my chest and I pressed a hand against my heart, taking in a deep breath as I made eye contact with Yeosang, who had the tiniest smile on his lips as he stood to the side, leaning against the fence. His eyes glinted with proudness and he nodded at me with a grin as we made eye contact, making me break out into a huge smile. He knew the feeling, he was in Hongjoong’s shoes last year. It warmed my heart that despite their rivalry, Yeosang could still show some silent support towards Hongjoong. They’ve been racing together since a fragile age, deep down, both of them cared about each other, but in a sport like Formula One, such as friendship on the grid didn’t exist.
“Kim Hongjoong!” I heard the voice of the reporter boom through the speakers loudly, “First time World Champion! Takes the crown and bears its victory!”
And then I found Hongjoong’s eyes again and we grinned at each other as his trophy was carefully passed to him, Hongjoong’s hands clutching it tightly and carefully as if he was afraid anyone would try and take it away from him. But nobody could, because he was Kim Hongjoong, Red Bull Racing driver, first time World Champion. The first obstacle in his long journey had been just conquered, making way for many more to come. For many more victories to commence, happy and painful memories to follow. Kim Hongjoong, the Captain.

I finally have a diagnosis!
After three long and painful years I finally have a diagnosis as to why my GI tract and abdomen hurt so badly. Why I am unable to eat or drink. Why I have chronic constipation.
For years doctors have been saying it’s all in my head and to see a therapist. (Jokes on them I’ve been seeing one since childhood! Hasn’t changed anything.) They’d give me medication that didn’t help.
Tests kept coming back normal which made me feel more and more crazy.
My mental health fell a part as doctors and medical staff would gaslight me insisting there was nothing wrong with me. Making me constantly question my sanity. Breaking me down little by little.
I finally was refered to one of our state’s research hospitals. They have a clinic that focuses on motility disorders.
My results came back and they say I have Global Slow Transit. Also known as Global Gut Dysmotility.
This means my entire digestive tract is affected. It moves much much slower than it should. This causes food and liquid to get backed up. This is what causes the early satiety, pain, nausea, bloating, and constipation.
They are putting me on Motegrity and Mirtazzapine. I get to get off linzess which I am grateful for since they were a pain to put in a syringe (or more accurately, what I have heard. My caregiver does that). I hear the side affects can be a lot though so I will brace myself and hope for the best!
I am also having appointments with a neuropsychologist and neuro nutritionist. I never even knew the former existed so it will be interesting learning what they have to say.
I desperately needed to talk with a more advanced nutritionist so I am grateful this opportunity arose. I have one provided by my DME, but they were at the end of their knowledge.
I am not tolerating tube feeds well. I only am at 30ml per hour only consuming around 2 cartons of Kate Farms Peptide 1.5 formula per 24 hours. Let’s just say I am malnourished and under weight (again).
Whenever I would try to increase it (or sometimes even it being where it was) I would complain of my intestines feeling engorged and my pain and nausea being off the charts miserable.
(This is where they say the neuropsychologist can help)
So talking about how to best get nutrients and hydration would really help right now. Every doctor has scoffed when I have brought up TPN but I fire back with well if I can’t eat and drink orally, not tolerating tube feeds well, and am underweight and malnourished then….whats the alternative? I hope we can discuss such alternatives at our first appointment. Does anyone have any good alternatives or arguments for or against TPN? I would love advice.
In the end I would love to try a community now that I have a confirmed condition. Is anyone else affected by this condition? How similar and different is this to gastroparesis and intestinal dysmotility? I would love to have other tubie friends. I am lonely. ďżź

News of the Day 4/3/25: Health is Wealth
I wish I could call this an exaggeration. Health and Human Services, the US government agency that handles most of our public health, medical research and Medicaid/Medicare administration, previously had 82,000 employees; they're looking to fire 20,000, so that's nearly a quarter. They wish they were only being decimated.
As upset as I am for the people being fired (so inhumanely and haphazardly!), the real concern is the work they won't be able to do any more to keep us healthy and safe. I'm all for making things more efficient, but truly, there's only so much fat to cut.
RFK's unique (*coughs*) health priorities and his downplaying vaccinations and other established medicine, and this becomes a real mess. Trump's pauses on university funding over alleged campus anti-semitism, which a lot of goes to medical research done by graduate students, really isn't helping either. My inner prude wants to use my grandmum's favorite PG swear, fuster-cluck, but given all the mess with bird flu that just seems in poor taste.

The supplement’s powerful blend of digestive enzymes and probiotics seems to work effectively to support a balanced gut, which has made a noticeable difference in my daily comfort.

The most effective way to lose weight is not extreme dieting but intermittent fasting!
Intermittent Fasting for Weight Loss: No Starving, No Suffering—Lose 15 Pounds in 1 Month!
Extreme Dieting Doesn’t Work Intermittent Fasting is the Key to Effective Fat Loss!
Many people try extreme dieting to lose weight, but this only forces the body into starvation mode, reducing metabolism, leading to muscle loss, and even causing malnutrition. Worst of all, once normal eating resumes, the weight quickly rebounds.
Tumblr media
In contrast, intermittent fasting is a scientific and sustainable fat-loss method. By strategically limiting calorie intake, the body prioritizes burning stored fat. At the same time, avoiding unhealthy, high-calorie foods while consuming sufficient protein, carbohydrates, and fats ensures healthy and lasting weight loss without rebound.
How I Lost 15 Pounds in 1 Month with Intermittent Fasting:
✅1. Controlled Daily Calorie Intake to Create a Deficit
I kept my daily calorie intake between 1,000 and 1,200 kcal to ensure continuous fat loss. To avoid high-calorie temptations, I completely cut out takeout and snacks, cooked my meals, and used low-oil, low-salt cooking methods to manage my calorie intake effectively.
Tumblr media
✅2. Followed the 16+8 Intermittent Fasting Plan
I adopted the 16+8 fasting method, meaning I ate all my meals within an 8-hour window and fasted for 16 hours, consuming only water. For example, I had breakfast at 9 AM and finished dinner by 5 PM. This approach kept my body in a fat-burning state for longer and boosted my metabolism.
✅3. Increased Vegetable Intake to Reduce Cravings
I consumed over 1 pound of vegetables daily, focusing on fiber-rich foods like celery, bitter melon, kale, lettuce, broccoli, and carrots. These vegetables kept me full, reduced cravings for high-calorie foods, and prevented constipation, promoting better gut health.

✅4. Added High-Quality Protein to Maintain Muscle Mass
To prevent muscle loss and support muscle synthesis, I incorporated chicken breast, salmon, shrimp, and lean beef into my diet. These protein-rich foods also helped reduce binge-eating tendencies, making weight loss more effective.
✅5. Managed Carb Intake, Prioritizing Whole Grains
I kept my carb portions to a fist-sized amount per meal, choosing low-GI whole grains like brown rice, oats, sweet potatoes, beans, and potatoes. These foods kept me full for longer, prevented fat accumulation, and provided essential carbs and fiber to support digestion.
Tumblr media
✅6. Exercised Regularly to Boost Fat Burning
I walked at least 6,000 steps daily and added 10 minutes of jumping jacks or jump rope to increase my heart rate and keep my body in a fat-burning state throughout the day.
The Result? 15 Pounds Lost in Just 1 Month!
✅ Slimmer waistline, toned body
✅ More energy, better overall well-being
✅ No binge eating, no weight rebound
Discover how to maintain youth and energy with the Advanced Mitochondrial Formula
Intermittent fasting isn’t about starving—it’s a healthy lifestyle! If you want to lose fat and control your weight effectively, give this method a try—you might be surprised at how easy and effective it is!
