Stalwart - Grimshire

I tried the demo for Grimshire [HERE] and my brain hasn't let me drop it in WEEKS, so buckle up as I post some of the fan art and fan trades for this upcoming game. Gruff, the town blacksmith and noted anti-shirt activist, delivers a (badly drawn barrel) to his shop.

PLEASE check out this game and wishlist it on Steam. It's a farm sim, but it does a number of things differently. The farm is intrinsic to the story and doesn't become a chore to be automated so it's out of your way. It also doesn't devolve into "Become a zillionare by growing beets". If you do not grow and raise food, the villagers will starve. If you do not preserve your food, it will spoil. If you do not balance the needs of herbivores and carnivores.....well, I'd honestly rather not find out

Hey so there’s this indie short film coming out later today called Gruff. This guy has been working on it for almost three years in his garage and he made it to cope with his dad passing away. He’s also been posting things on YouTube and Instagram about his process with the film. The thing that really makes this film stand out is that it’s made almost entirely OUT OF PAPER. I’ve had my eye on this project for a few months now and I’m just really excited for it to come out. I’m not sponsored in any way, I just haven’t been this hyped for an indie project in a while and I wanted to spread the word about it. The trailer and premiere links are below. I’ve noticed GRUFF doesn’t really have much of a platform on here so I want to share!

GRUFF is a short film entirely made of paper, made by Righteous_Robot on YouTube and it releases March 1st!

as far as I know the film was made by this one guy. And over the span of 3 years, he made all the characters, shot all the scenes, and did all the editing.

I’ve been following this project for a short while and the process has been incredible to see! I wanted to share it with anyone who may not have seen it yet :D

Go watch it when it comes out! If you like most indie animation you will like this film. Righteous Robot is releasing it to watch entirely for free on YouTube

Gruff's Rocking Birthday Tribute 2024

Belated Happy Birthday to Gruff! 🥳🐐🎂🎉

Gruff is my most favorite villager from the Animal Crossing franchise, since I started playing my first Animal Crossing game. Gruff is a sophisticated musician and artist who loves rock music and dark, edgy aesthetic. So the best way to show my love and appreciation for him is to feature him performing in a rock concert.

I know Gruff's birthday was last August 29, which means I'm 2 weeks late to post this. The animation was put on hold several times due to work, the ongoing renovation of our home, errands needed to be done and problems piled up along the way that needed to be resolved. But despite the hindrances, I'm glad I was able to finish this animation, it's better than not having it done at all.

I hope you enjoy this short music video! Storyboard, rigging, roughs, animation and effects done by yours truly. It's not as grand as how I wanted it to be but still, I'm very happy with the result and enjoyed the process.
