#Grimms is not the original

In some instances we can track where a fairytale came from but in most instances there is hundreds of years of oral history and several variations to the point where there isn’t really an original anymore.

So 9/10 times when I hear someone say “in the original story” I want to die. It’s a big pet peeve.

if someone says “actually in the ORIGINAL REAL myth” u can usually ignore them from that point no real consequences

(I'm not saying Ashenputtel isn't possibly older as a folktale than its 1812 publication date in the Grimms' book, but Perrault's version was published in the 1690s. so...)

✦ Happy Halloween !

....a tiny bit late ! ANYHOW ! An illustration for the holiday ! Really wanted to do this, a little Cappy Halloween, with my beloved lovelies all dressed up for the occasion ! Tuff's probably having the most fun though, I bet Halloween's his favourite.

Tiff's having fun by sponging the good vibes, but I feel like she'll be waiting for christmas when November starts ! Oz, Mk and Kirby, they just loved dressing up. Kirby and Mk are also here for the candy.

Gal... Gal's there. He might like it a tad less, being a killjoy is his trademark.

Just as promised, Chloé's up first!

I gave her the undefined unicorn miraculous inspired by the fairytale of The Brave Little Taylor.

This miraculous doesn't have a power or a concept yet because I couldn't exactly think of a fitting one 😅 (suggestions are welcome!). Her weapon is a wand, but she can unsheathe it into a needle point dagger.

Next up is probably Marinette!
