Most of the SU fandom came out of the show thinking Rose was a villain. Not @mnino, who believes Rose was selfish but didn’t know she was putting in danger in her attempts to get away from a toxic family and eventually got better.
No, after SUF, @mnino has decided that the bad parent was Greg.

question regarding solar lunacy, more near future situations without spoiling too much.
regarding specific scenes, very heavily leaning on the cut scenes shown in the game. how would sun/moon be brought into these scenes with y/n?
sticking out to me, where moon has knocked freddy out cold, and dragging him into parts and service for interrogation.
will we be experiencing moons after math from some kind of "black out" after dragging freddy into the "protective cylinder" and y/n conducting the repair instead of greg?
or will we simply not be cool enough to share cannon events with freddy and greg?
additionally, moon is hunting greg through the game after very hour. will this be incorporated as well? (if able to answer without spoilers) how?
Oooh, some of this would require spoilers and/or some info that would need to be taken with light grain of salt as my current drafts aren't set in stone, and I'd be revising and changing things before the chapters release.
So I can't talk about the scene with Moon dragging Freddy away, or give you in-deph detail about the lights-off routine at the end of every hour and how that relates from game to fic (considering some things have changed in the fic compared to the game, like how Y/N inadvertently prevented Vanessa from being hired as a security guard, but that doesn't mean she's not in the pizzaplex still. Wink wink.) Somethings will be similar but not the same.
Most canon events will need to happen to some extent. I cannot tell you which ones or how true they will stay to the source material, but there will be destruction. As for the hunting procedure the animatronics have, this will still in place, but altered for the fic universe. I cannot talk about how this will work out without giving direct spoilers. But yes, Gregory (and the Reader) will be hunted by some animatronics.
For now, I put a lot of background details into SL that come back later, including: - The Daycare Attendant, (and Monty to an extent) have been working on their resistance to the virus for over a year now in fic timeline. The other animatronics, and staffbots, have not had this, even if their virus manifestations are able to be more hidden from the public (and the reader/narration.) - The reader (Y/N) is an employee and has shown to have the knowledge and clearance to work the breaker/manual power to turn On/Off the scheduled pizza plex's lights in the past before (see: chapter 6) as long as they can get to the controls to do so. - Thanks to Eclipse in chapter 13, there is currently a crack in the protective cylinder in Parts n Service.
There's others as well. There's foreshadowing of something in every chapter, even the early ones. I hope you're okay with me not spoiling stuff until then!

was your recent shifting session good? happy late halloween btw!
No and Hi and Happy Late Halloween but recent events within the Family Guy Community have been so strenuous for me and so Ive been shifting to escape my stress of this universe and the new episode schedule and Hiatus until December and the Plan To Kill Family Guy. When i was Shifting Peter was my Catalyst I know i should expect this at this point but Being with Peter is better than Being in Universe A Because though my consciousness transfers I transfer into Lois and my urges and Thoughts and emotions don't transfer over Except my Devils Heart is the Same But I digress Peter was pissing me off so bad I got out of bed steaming angry And suddenly I was back in Universe A. I was so Mad I know i can shift for as long as I want to I can shift as long as i want to I will shift as long as I want to I will be able to shift forever I can shift over a week I can shift for unlimited time I can shift to spooner street whenever I want And I can stop shifting whenever I want This is an affirmation I repeat to myself Even typing it affirms my shifting ability Nonetheless I returned to Universe B Back in bed with Peter some time had Passed he was asleep and I was still awake But I went to bed next to him facing away and I had a hazy vision / Dream of Myself in Universe A Which i've never experienced before. In my dream I saw Peter And I was so scared that I instantly woke up and saw him beside me So i got up and turned off the TV and i used the bathroom And tried to get back in bed So i woke up the next morning before Peter And I just stood there and stared at him and He went to work And I took the kids to school and Stewie to daycare and I sent Brian on an erand and I just sat on the couch for hours staring at the television without turning it on, staring at my reflection reflected back at me on the black television screen. My thoughts of Universe A Had never breached my mind in Universe B It's a seperate reality though my Consciousness overlaps Lois' becoming one. I locked eyes with myself in the reflection and I felt tears start to flow and suddenly I was back in Universe A Again even though I didn't have a Catalyst and I couldnt shift back. It was like i was for a split second trapped between the path linking the universi. I put on an episode compilation on YouTube along with a Shifting FQ that I sped up To increase the wavelength's effect on me and I tried to shift for another hour our maybe two hours and I could just hear Daddies voice Overlapping itself in my head I could hear Carter and Greg Both scream at me at the same time, Calling me worthless, stupid, A nuesance, Saying it's wrong to love Family Guy, Saying its wrong to love Peter, Telling me "I'm making the wrong decision" their voices overlap And I can see the reflection of childself in Twin Universi in both of their eyes in my minds Eye And suddenly I snap out of it And I turned off YouTube because I could hear Rent a cent er Customers so loud I turned off my lights and Decided to take an epsom both I Only have one bag It can be hard to get But i got it From last week So i put it in the bath tub This time Adding enough that it Stopped Disolving and i could feel the salt rub against the skin of my back and spine pressing into the porcelain, I laid back and turned off the water after some time and relaxed putting another FQ on my phone and Shifted again. I shifted for probably another 7 hours Before coming back to this universe due to my catalyst IE PETER. He was annoying me so bad, He had just seen the trending Gasoline and Bees trend and He wanted to try it at Joe's house and i was screaming at him No and he Tried it and got stung by bees I was so mad when He told me Why didn't you try to talk me out of this and asked me to tend to his stings

Thoughts from Gather Conference
The first speaker at the Gather Conference was Dr. Greg Peterson, president of Salt Lake Community College. He described the model of a community college, which has a 100% acceptance rate, low tuition costs, and recognizes that not all students will get a degree but may be there just for a few classes or taking one class at a time as that's all their life can handle. A university, especially an elite one, has a low acceptance rate and a prescribed ways for how students should progress through school and earn a degree. It is designed for elite students who are likely to succeed in this model.
Gathering Zion should be more like a community college. It feels like Jesus runs a community college while our church runs an elite university as it caters to those who are likely to complete the covenant path without much to offer those whose life doesn't fit its model. As a queer person, I absolutely know what it feels like to not feel like I'm wanted or welcome at church because I'm don't fit the model and not likely (according to the leaders) to reach the highest heaven.
Jenn Blosil, who was a contestant on American Idol, is quite humorous and she performed a beautiful arrangement of the song "All Are Alike unto God." I hope her version gets released, otherwise I'm gonna have to rip an mp3 when the video is released.
In her presentation, Liv Mendoza Haynes commented "You can't parent a child who is gone" as part of talking about how parents need to be loving and affirming of their LGBTQ children because the consequences of rejecting this part of them has serious consequences. She also said when Jesus was suffering in the Garden, He didn't suffer for people simply because they're LGBT because that's not something to repent of, it isn't wrong.
I believe it was David Butler who said that being an LGBTQ Latter-day Saint is making communion out of contradiction. Many people think the two are incompatible yet we exist.
When we feel safe with others, we let down our guard and enter healing.
These next few quotes are something an individual (I can't remember her name) said to me.
"What do we know of God? One who creates and mentors. When we engage in acts of creativity and creation, when we engage in encouraging and including and loving others, that's when we're likely to feel the Divine."
"When we hide in the closet, when we hide who we are, we are hiding our light. Once there's a crack and we let someone know our secret that we're queer, the bright light comes flooding out of that crack. In a way, it is a birth. As we learn not to hid ourselves, we learn to see and be ourselves, to introduce ourselves to the world."
Someone asked, "Who is the protagonist of the Restoration? Is it Joseph Smith? Moroni? Neither, WE are!"
Dr. Lisa Diamond from the University of Utah shared some information from her research. Being a minority can feel like being threatened, we spend our time being on guard and feeling stressed. This causes our bodies to produce inflammation because that's useful if we might be wounded. But if there's not a physical wound, inflammation causes damage. As a result, minorities often suffer chronic health problems at high rates, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, and many other problems.
A panelist said that there's not a faith stronger than people who come despite knowing they aren't wanted. If there is a parable to exemplify this type of faith exhibited by queer people, it is the woman touching the fringe of Jesus' clothes.

What are your thoughts on the run that completely rewrote Tony’s origin so that he wasn’t Howard and Maria’s biological son? Is that still the current origin story they’re going with?
Thanks for asking! This is still Tony's current origin story and I hate it. I think it was poorly thought-out and that every subsequent thing Marvel has done to attempt to address it has somehow made it worse. I think they've managed to tell an incredibly upsetting and unpleasant story, portraying adoption in an extremely negative light, that has pretty much only made life worse for Tony and not even in a way that's narratively interesting.
I have some salt about this, yes.
I'm not against adoption retcons in general, and I'm not against retconning character backgrounds. I get the impression it was unpopular but I really liked the retcon of Carol's background a couple years ago in the Life of Captain Marvel miniseries by Margaret Stohl -- instead of her being a human given powers by the Psyche-Magnitron, she was revealed to have been secretly half-Kree, and the device merely catalyzed her latent powers. Her mother was secretly Kree and Carol never knew. The miniseries actually had a really nice scene of her and Tony talking about families, because understandably Carol (also now Car-Ell because, yes, she has a Kree name) now had a lot of complicated feelings. Kelly Thompson's Captain Marvel run continued to explore the implications of this, as Carol found out that she actually had Kree relatives. So Carol's got a new half-sister, Lauri-Ell, and they were immediately thrown into a situation where Carol had to defend her and believe in her and it was great and also now they're friends. Well, family. Friendly family. I think Lauri-Ell was probably the best thing about Thompson's Captain Marvel run and I'm honestly really glad Marvel went there.
Tony didn't get anything like that.
As far as I know, the way Kieron Gillen approached his Iron Man run was by not doing the reading and then completely winging it. And while winging it isn't inherently bad, it did mean that not only did he not know where he was going, he didn't know what had come before. That, combined with the fact that a lot of comics writers want to "make their mark" on a famous character meant that he was probably wanting to go for something big. Hence, adoption. Which, again, isn't inherently a bad idea; it can definitely give characters a lot to explore. It's a little odd as a choice for Tony who as far as we know is Howard and Maria's biological son in every other universe in the multiverse; there's no motivation given for why 616 should be different, and off the top of my head I can't name any other characters who only differ cross-universe in adoption status, although now that I think about it I bet there are probably some universes where other people raised Peter Parker.
Also "Arno" is a really odd name choice for Tony's brother. I get that Gillen was pulling the name of a future relative from the original Iron Man 2020 issues, which if you're gonna read one thing is a deeply weird thing to pick. I remember people asking him why he didn't name Tony's brother Greg. Ultimates is a universe where Tony in fact has a brother named Greg. That would have at least made some sort of multiversal sense. Apparently Gillen just… hadn't known Greg existed. Great.
Okay. So you're gonna tell a story about adoption. You're going to reveal that a beloved character has been secretly adopted all along and no one knew. What are you going to get out of it? What are you going to accomplish? Here are some possible choices. You could tell a story that's inspirational and representational to fans who are themselves adopted or have adopted children, because now their hero is just like them. You could tell a story about how Howard and Maria adopting Tony meant he was very much loved and wanted, because they consciously chose him and made him a part of their family. You could tell a story about how Tony, who has been an orphan for a very long time, has suddenly discovered that he has living family -- a brother, as well as his biological parents. You'd be giving him more people in his story, more people who could care about him, and I think you could tell a lot of interesting stories about Tony's new family dynamics. He could have had family who loved him, or at least hung around to interact with him -- Tony's only other relative we've ever seen, his cousin Morgan, hasn't been in an Iron Man comic in years, and also usually tries to kill him. But they could have taken this opportunity to make some changes. Imagine! Tony with a bigger family! Who cares about him.
That's not what Marvel did.
The reason Howard and Maria adopted Tony was that they needed a decoy son who was not their biological son (Arno) so that the alien who had genetically modified Arno wouldn't realize that Howard had undone his work. So that's why they adopted Tony. It wasn't because they wanted him specifically, loved him, wanted to give him a family, any of that -- they just needed a decoy. And in that light, the fact that Howard didn't love Tony looks even worse. Now it's not just "I never loved you," it's "I never loved you and I only ever wanted you to fulfill this weird plan I had going with an alien." Now you're telling the story "of course I never loved you, Tony; you're adopted." (And then he tries to sell Tony to Dracula.)
And that's… not a great look. Sure, not all stories have to be positive, but superheroes usually have some kind of relatable backstory, and it's easy for people to want to relate to them, and I feel like maybe you want to think a little harder before writing Tony as adopted when his childhood was already terrible and his family hated him. It could have been a really nice story about families of choice and how much Tony's adoptive family loved and wanted Tony. And it wasn't. Because Howard had been established for years as having been abusive. A story about a toxic adoptive family is not really great representation. "I never loved you" was pretty bad but "you're adopted and I never loved you," I think, sounds a lot worse.
You do also lose some plot elements by retconning Tony as adopted, namely anything having to do with him having a genetic relationship to Howard and Maria. And for the most part this isn't going to be relevant, but now you can't really easily tell a story about Tony inheriting alcoholism or general addiction or depression or whatever from his father. (I mean, you still can if you really want to; you'd just have to establish this as being true of his biological parents. But Marvel has not done that and does not really seem all that likely to start, because that would require putting them in comics and they're not doing that anymore.)
After Kieron Gillen left the book, Bendis came on. And I know Bendis' kids are adopted so I can understand why he'd want to tackle the adoption plot and really flesh out Tony's family. So a large portion of Bendis' IM run was about Tony's quest for, and eventual discovery of, his biological family. At the time, I figured this might actually be a good plot -- if they're not going to retcon out the adoption, they might as well lean in. I was looking forward to having Tony meet his family. The guy could definitely use more family, and I thought it would be great to see him interacting with them and developing new relationships.
That also didn't happen.
So what about all his new family members? His adoptive brother Arno? His biological mother and father?
Well, actually, they hate him too. All of them!
Arno went evil, is currently evil, tried to take down Tony, and is now trapped in VR or something. (To be fair, this wasn't Bendis' fault; Dan Slott did this in the subsequent run.)
Jude, Tony's biological father, is a Hydra agent who tried to kill Tony's mother. He met Tony once. He also tried to kill him. (This one was Bendis' fault.)
Amanda, Tony's biological mother, is a rock star and SHIELD agent who decided that now that Tony was living in a constructed, non-original body… he was no longer her son. And she wanted nothing else to do with him. She hasn't been back; yes, this was also Dan Slott's work. This is both cruel and bizarre because this is definitely not Tony's first brand-new body. If he's going to be dead to her because this isn't his original body, then he's been dead since at least Onslaught. If this was going to be a problem for her, it should already have been a problem as soon as she met him.
(That was one of the big issues for me with Slott's entire run in that a lot of it was about Tony having a crisis that he maybe wasn't really Tony because he had a new body. I was just like, dude, where have you been? Why is this only a problem now?)
So now Tony, who was already abused by his adoptive father, has discovered three new members of his family, all of whom also hate him!
Anyway, basically the only family Tony had who loved him was Maria. At least he had her, I guess.
So what's the point, really? He has more people to hate him. If you're going to give him new family, couldn't you give him one person who at least likes him? Carol has a retconned half-sister now, who loves her. Why couldn't Tony have something like that?
It's not even interesting pain, for Tony. This isn't anything different than what he already had. It just involves more characters now. They had the chance to use the adoption arc to really transform Tony's life and give him a whole new family to interact with and tell a story about choice and family and being loved and wanted. Instead, he has three new family members who hate him and who probably won't be appearing again anytime soon anyway. What did this even accomplish? What do we get? A story about how, once again, none of Tony's family loves him, that even more of them exist and they hate him too, that his adoptive family abused him, that's probably going to make adopted kids reading these comics feel pretty bad. I don't think this is really an accomplishment.
In conclusion… uh… this is me complaining about the adoption retcon to @blossomsinthemist while I was trying to figure out how to write this post:
Sineala: they never loved him but now they REALLY never loved him and also here's his biological family who never loved him either Sineala: i mean, i'm not opposed to giving tony more family but maybe they could… not hate him Sineala: i feel like tony should marry into a large and affectionate family Sineala: …actually, this is basically the avengers Sineala: never mind, he already did Sineala: if you don't have your own loving family, store-bought is fine
So, yeah. That's where I stand.

The ‘Miracle’ | Chapter 1: Colorado
Summary + Chapter 1 | Chapter 2 | Chapter 3 | Chapter 4 | Chapter 5
Pairing: Joel Miller x Female Reader
Genre: Action, Adventure, Romance, Tragedy
Summary: You, 26, are a doctor who worked as an infection control specialist for the CDC when the Cordyceps Pandemic hit. You became a whistleblower when you realized the CDC was instructed by the government not to give accurate information on precautions. You had been fired from the CDC and famed as a fraud doctor on the news. You went back to your family to embrace the pandemic. 20 years later, you, now 46, find yourself with a group of Fireflies traveling to Salt Lake City for some ‘miracle’ cure.
Warning: Suicide to Avoid Infection
Autumn 2033
You were wearing a dark green coat, black pants, black boots, and your hair was in a ponytail. You had your duffle bag with your medical supplies and weapons on your left shoulder. You heard gunshots echoing through the halls of the university and ran toward cover with Greg and Tyler, two Fireflies.
“Who the fuck?” Greg grunted and readied his gun.
“Thought this place was cleared out last time?” Tyler said.
“Guess not...” Greg shook his head and stepped out of the doorframe that he used as a cover. He began to walk down the hall cautiously.
“What do we do?” You turned your head to Tyler.
“Let’s get to the rooftop, we can get a better look from up there.” Tyler instructed and began to walk the opposite way.
You pulled out your rifle and followed behind him. The two of you heard a few more gunshots then nothing. Tyler stopped walking and turned to you. “Do you think it’s over?” You whispered.
“No...I think we have other company.” Tyler pressed his finger to his lips. Sure enough, a clicking noise echoed through the halls of the room they were in. The two of you froze and you pulled out your shiv from your pocket. Two clickers came into view in the room and searched the area. Tyler reached over for a piece of glass to toss but just as he was about to a man’s scream broke the silence.
The clickers screeched and ran toward the two of you. Tyler pushed you away and shot the heads of the clickers but not before he was bitten on his neck and shoulder. The clickers slumped over and died and Tyler began to hyperventilate. “G-Go...” Tyler turned to you and brought the gun over to his jaw, “Go!” You nodded and ran away toward the other room when you heard the gunshot.
You would’ve shed a tear, you would’ve cried that your friend is gone but this new world only prepared you for death and death only. You finally made it toward the balcony of one of the dorm rooms and got a better view of what was going on. You saw a man on the ground and a teenage girl crying and trying to help him. “Joel!!” You heard her scream. You looked around, trying to find a way out of the building from the third floor to help the two.
You rushed back into the building and ran down the stairs, not caring if the infected heard you. You had only hoped to find Greg on your way out. You made it to the second floor when you stopped in your tracks. You saw Greg, he was standing away from you, his back facing you and he was...Twitching...
You took a step back toward the door and quickly turned around as you realized you had reached the balcony on this floor as well. You heard a scream and saw the infected Greg charge toward you. You shot him square in the chest and fell back against the railing of the balcony from the force. You saw two clickers following behind Greg and decided to jump off the balcony. You jumped off the balcony and rolled onto the ground.
You groaned in pain and your back ached in pain from the fall. You watched as the clickers fell down as well. “Fuck!” You grunted and grabbed your rifle to shoot the clickers that came toward you. When it was all said and done, you got up from the ground and dusted yourself off. “Fucking hell...” You sighed and limped over to the other side of the building to find the man and girl.
You caught a glimpse of them on a horse, riding away from the building. You ran toward your own horse and mounted it quickly. You began to follow their trail after seeing the large pools of blood from the man.
You continued to follow them, not sure why you were doing it. You didn’t know them...Why should you care? Yet here you were, following the blood trail. You halted your horse when you saw the man on the ground and the girl trying to get him up.
She quickly turned to you when she heard your horse and pulled out her gun. “S-Stay back!” She yelled, pointing the gun at you.
You dismounted your horse and raised your hands up, “You need help.”
“Were you following us?! Were you with those fuckers that attacked us?!” She cocked the gun.
“Okay, first of all, lower the gun. I’m not going to fight a child. Second of all, I don’t know who attacked you, but...I’m with the Fireflies.” You slowly moved your hand to pull out the Firefly pendant.
The girl gasped softly seeing the necklace but she didn’t lower the gun. “How do I know you’re telling truth?”
Smart kid...
You looked over to see the man’s face becoming pale. “Listen, right now, your dad is about to die if he doesn’t get help. I’m a doctor, I have tools and medicine in my bag, let me help you.” You said softly.
The girl was quiet and looked between you and the man. “Fuck...” She said and lowered her gun, “If you hurt him, I’ll shoot.”
“Trust me, kid, there’s nothing worse I can do to him now.” You said and grabbed your bag and rushed toward the man. “What’s your name?” You asked as you unzipped the bag and pulled out your gloves.
“Ellie...” The girl answered and sat next to the man.
“And your dad? What’s his name?”
Ellie was quiet for a bit as she watched you examine Joel’s wound. She wasn’t sure if she should tell you anything more but...You looked like you were helping. “His name is Joel.” Ellie said sadly.
“Thank you, Ellie, I’m going to help Joel, okay? We need to get somewhere warm so I can get a better look at the wound.” You said.
Ellie nodded and tilted her head at you, “What’s your name?”
You answered her question and the two of you got Joel onto the horse again and headed toward shelter.

Genuinely did not expect a serious response (or a response at all for that matter) to my mimic ask but I am glad that you gave one
It was nice to read about the whole machines doing what they're just programmed to do! I've been putting off reading the books but you've definitely convinced me to read them now. That is quite a spooky concept like you said and if that's the direction fnaf is going then awesome!
I've mostly been seeing just memes of the mimic so it was cool and refreshing to read all that info about them and how their creator affected them. Had no idea about all that stuff!
Here's the thing about the FNAF books that a lot of Youtubers Don't Tell you.
The Books take place in three Separate Continuities because there are THREE Series.
And this is how I understand it. Granted, this is all a theory, but I do have evidence to the games to back up these claims.
The Silver Eyes Trilogy: A series of books about Charlie and her Friends as teenagers (the victim of William Afton who goes on to be the Puppet in the games) These books take place in their own continuity divorced from Fazbear Frights and Tales of the Pizzaplex and the Games.... However... At this moment in time, they can really go either way to be confirmed by the games or not. They exist in this weird limbo where they can be proven or not proven. In a weird muddy area where they can either be a parallel, or they did actually happen as events. Take it with a grain of salt for World-building.... But they are entertaining stories... I am still in the process of reading the Twisted Ones. and it is highly possible that TECHNOLOGY exists from the Silver Eyes Trilogy in universe... Whether or not the story in these books is real or not.
Fazbear Frights Book Series: These are all fictional tales that people make up about Fazbear Entertainment. IN-UNIVERSE.
How can I say that so confidently?
We have stories where Men get pregnant with Springtrap, A Girl turns into a giant Bubblegummy monster, and a man cut off his face because a BaloonBoy told him to.
Fazbear Frights are where you see the most outlandish and crazy stories. Some are meant to serve as a parallel, but honestly, all of them are "Campy Goosebumps Horror" type of things.
And they have been Confirmed to be Fictional within it's own in-game universe:
This here is "Catch the Fetch" an arcade machine based on one of the earliest Fazbear Frights stories about an animatronic dog. Where the Protagonist of that Tale is named Greg.
So what does this mean? An easter Egg? Perhaps... But then you have things like this:
A lot of people forget that the first four games, and possibly onwards (given we don't know a lot about help wanted) Are all retconned to be "fabrications of actual stories"
Security Breach is littered with these arcade games, and they give a really clear indication of how all the "Fazbear Frights" Novels in their own universe... Are actual books (perhaps films) sold by Fazbear Entertainment to make fun of their gruesome past.
Which is why people say that stories in the books are so crazy and don't add to anything.
It's because Fazbear Entertainment just pumped out a lot of outlandish horror stories to cover the truth. You start telling stories about invisible ballerina dancers, and robots that steal your body parts to become human, and suddenly, a serial killer murdering children in a rabbit costume just sounds more silly now doesn't it?
The Fazbear Frights books, by admission, are fictional stories/legends/books/films in their own universe.
The Tales of the Pizzaplex:
THE TALES OF THE PIZZAPLEX BOOKS ARE 100% REAL AND HAVE HAPPENED BY ADMISSION OF IT'S OWN UNIVERSE
Every time something super strange or off the wall happens in the Pizzaplex books, either one or two things has happened:
"It was AR/VR the whole time"
"It took place in a different Pizzaplex Location that isn't the Pizzaplex Gregory visited."
"A robot was following it's job, and got decomissioned and evidence of said robot and attraction was purged from the Pizzaplex and reconstructed."
Don't get me wrong. The Tales Books are weird. There's still things in there that I can't really explain. (there was just one story where everyone got possessed by the virus and was trying to convince the protagonist to eat dirt.......Ignore responsibilities eat dirt. become worm. That one was just odd.)
But the Tales of the Pizzaplex seem to have actually happened... As we can see from this explanation of the canon events from the story called "Pressure"
The Fazbear Frights? The first four five nights at freddys? All urban legends and stories made by Fazbear Entertainment itself.
There is also a Character Called Steve Snodgrass in Tales of the Pizzaplex. Who was deemed as a "Scott Cawthon surrogate/parallel..." But here's the thing.
He wasn't a parallel.
He was one for one... Scott Cawthon in this universe!
The "indie developer who was commissioned by Fazbear Entertainment to make light of the tragic past" ....That was Steve Snodgrass.
We actually get details about how the first four Five Nights at Freddy's game series came to be within the confines of it's own universe.
We also get backstory about the Mimic, in excruciating details.
Who we know for a fact is well.. in the games:
(hello beautifal)
Oh.. and not to mention.. there is a story in the Tales books called GGY.... Where there is a very Sus Boy named Gregory, (referred to as Greg, but it's clearly our gregory from context clues) who appears to have a connection to Freddy, and gets the high score on every single arcade game.
And for a group project, he gives himself the codename Dr. Rabbit.
I wonder where Gregory could have gotten that name from?
The arcade games making fun of the tragic past by shrouding everything in a layer of ghost stories and bullshit.
Before all of this, I would have said that "the books are like an au of fnaf and don't matter"
And yes.
That was true... BUT AS OF THIS POINT in the Lore right now....
The Silver Eyes Trilogy: a weird limbo of factual/fictional. Take it or leave it. I feel like the technology and ideas presented are real, but I don't think the story actually happen or they exist in the Game Universe. As far as Silver Eyes are concerned... This is entirely it's own continuity.
The Fazbear Frights Books: The most outlandish and out there FNAF stories. That read like short Goosebumps Horror. In-Universe, it is admitted that these stories exist as stories in the FNAF-universe. They didn't actually happen, and only exist as ghost stories to muddle the truth.
Tales of the Pizzaplex: As of right now... These books I believe are based in the FNAF-universe Reality. Often tell stories of Robots doing their job, and accidently killing people due to programming issues. Lack of haunting, or really crazy things... The most crazy things happen in AR or VR or a different Pizzaplex that is not unlike our own. They often Describe Characters and events from the Pizzaplex that is ours as a one-for-one recreation... and I don't think things are meant to be a parallel or symbolize anything.... If you wanted to research FNAF lore... I think the Tales Books are the best place to start. Because of this moment... they are claiming to be canon to the games universe.
Again. You can take all this with a grain of salt. But Having Reading through the Silver Eyes, Most of Tales, and some Fazbear Frights stories. I do believe that this is what is happening with the books.
Three separate continuities.... three book series.

Hey ! First thanks for this blog, it's full of really great posts :) And second, I saw you gave advices to fanfics writers for John and Jacob but I didn't see anything about Joseph, I believe I'm not the only one to think The Father is the hardest to write ! Any tips, advices or anything else ? Thanks a lot and continue this wonderful work !
Hi! And thank you :D
I suppose you’ve played the game and already know Joseph’s story, but as I did in my previous posts, I’m going to give you (and anyone reading this who might not be familiar with the Far Cry 5 universe) a few links and resources:
The Book of Joseph: an official but rare book that seems mostly canonical. Its real-life author is unknown, but it’s written from the Father’s point of view and provides details about his life before Hope County. Contrary to popular belief, though, this is not Eden’s Gate’s sacred book; that’s The Word of Joseph and we can’t read it (except one page; see below).
Joseph’s sermons: the “first” one, “Soul Search”, the one about “the elite”, and “The Truth”. The latter is him reading the only page from The Word of Joseph we can find in the game. There’s also this one for Jacob’s Armory, and this, supposed to be broadcasted in the Heralds’ bunkers when the Collapse has arrived.
His only radio call.
The message he left for John at Seed Ranch.
His lines during the final fight against him.
His Arcade lines: Part 1 & Part 2.
His scars and tattoos.
I wrote a summary of what other characters say about him (masterpost here), but the cultists and Resistance/civilians’ comments can be listened to here and here. And chances are they’re not relevant anymore, but you can listen to his deleted lines here and read even more here.
The Far Cry 5 lore is all over the place if you want to take all the content they’ve ever released into account, but there’s also:
The song “Now He’s Our Father” (choir version here and reinterpretation here)
The two live-action trailers, The Sermon & The Baptism
The novel Far Cry: Absolution (not legally available for free)
The short film Inside Eden’s Gate (and, as a bonus, the long version of one of the scenes)
The comic Far Cry: Rite of Passage #3 (not legally available for free)
The game has an official sequel, Far Cry New Dawn... but it’s not really canon to me because of the retcons. And I have to talk about it because it exists, but there’s also the Far Cry 6 DLC, Collapse. It takes place in Joseph’s mind, and you would think that would make it the most reliable source of information regarding his psyche, but it was developed by a new team and there are many discrepancies between it and Far Cry 5, so I would personally advise against using it as a reference... Finally, this isn’t only true for Joseph, but take everything you see on the Far Cry Wiki with a grain of salt, especially unsourced information that makes you go, “oh, I didn’t know that”; that’s very suspicious :’)
In the Far Cry 5: Official Collector’s Edition Guide by Prima Games, the game’s Lead Writer, Drew Holmes, said the following about Joseph:
What we really focused on was creating an enemy that truly believed in his mission—that only he could protect humanity during the end of days. We wanted to create a villain who had pure intentions but who was so consumed by his own madness that he could not see his own evil. He views himself as Noah—but everyone else sees him as a madman. (...) Joseph Seed is a villain we haven’t seen before in Far Cry. Yes, he’s magnetic and crazy...but there’s also an honesty to him that makes him compelling. He believes he has purpose. He’s not crazy for crazy’s sake—he has a very clear message that he’s trying to impart on the Player—and hopefully makes you stop and think whether or not he’s actually right.
He talked about him in other interviews, such as this one.
Joseph was co-created and has always been played by the same actor (except once), Greg Bryk, whose opinion on the character is always worth reading/listening to. Here’s a selection of videos, some of them also featuring Drew Holmes and Dan Hay (Executive Producer/Creative Director/Writer):

Fans also asked him questions on Instagram and I compiled his answers here (and here). In the latest live stream, he said Far Cry 5 had been “an amazing chapter in [his] life” but that Joseph’s story was “finished”, implying he didn’t feel like playing him anymore...
Finally, it’s not really informative, just fun, but there’s this.
Now, my analysis and interpretation! Despite the fact Joseph is an antagonist in Far Cry 5, I wouldn’t really call him “evil” or describe him as a villain because he’s (weirdly) well-intentioned. His followers undeniably do awful things for him and his siblings, but even though he’s a cult leader, he’s neither hypocritical nor a liar, and his primary goal isn’t to take advantage of people. Joseph heard a Voice he believes is God’s and It entrusted him with a mission. Although who that Voice belongs to is up to interpretation, it’s clear to me It’s not a figment of his imagination; It’s real, and It’s powerful. Joseph has unwavering faith in It and will obey It, whatever It asks him to do, even the worst, because he’s extremely devoted and convinced he’s only doing what’s right. He genuinely believes the Collapse is coming and that he’s the prophet chosen to save as many “souls” as he can (at least 3,000) from it to march them to Eden’s Gate, which is why he started his Project.
I said he was well-intentioned but, as the saying goes, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”, and I think Joseph embodies this proverb perfectly. The fact he’s convinced his actions are righteous is precisely what makes him dangerous and almost unstoppable. He won’t let anything or anyone prevent him from fulfilling his destiny and get in the way of his divine purpose, even if it means people have to die. To Joseph, this is “God’s will” and those non-believers will perish when the Collapse comes anyway... The people his Family saves might fight or not want to join them now, but he thinks that in the end, when they finally understand he was right, they will be grateful. As the Father, he feels he knows what’s best for his Children.
I believe the Voice showed him several versions of the future and that Joseph isn’t sure which one(s) will come to pass. He may know his siblings are likely to die and not see the New Eden, but he hopes they will live because he truly loves them. As for the Deputy, they’re the person destined to trigger the Collapse, so they’re special to him and he doesn’t want his followers to kill them. That said, he also hopes he can make them join his Family so everyone can be safe in “The Garden” the Voice promised.
I think Joseph hasn’t really moved on from the loss of his wife and is still, in some way, in love with her. That doesn’t mean he could never love someone else, but in the game, he’s not quite there yet. That may seem paradoxical, and he’s still convinced he did the right thing, but I also believe his daughter’s death was a tragedy to him because evidence suggests he loved her more than he loved himself. Joseph is a man of strong convictions… and contradictions.
He’s usually calm and collected but can still feel and express extreme emotions in some cases. When he speaks, it’s like he’s naturally solemn and charismatic, which is probably why so many people follow him. Again, the fact he doesn’t lie to them and sincerely believes in his message is probably the reason others started to believe in him in return.
Because of what he went through in his life, it appears Joseph is always desperately trying to build a family and surround himself with loved ones. Sadly, he also seems doomed to always lose them, one way or another… His commitment to the Voice is absolute, and serving God is what keeps him going. In the end, he’s certain everything he’s endured and sacrificed will be worth it. Unfortunately, while he always aims to do “what’s right”, the tragedy of Joseph is that he usually ends up inadvertently making things worse, for him or the people he loves. His faith is his reason for living, but it’s also, too often, the main reason for his suffering.
#also hey are you one of my compatriots?#I don’t know how to explain this but you ‘sound’ french in your message haha#far cry 5#joseph seed#greg bryk#drew holmes#dan hay#still genuinely wondering if it was the DLC that made greg go from ‘I’d love to play him again’ to ‘nah I’m done’#and I still have no idea why the live-action trailers were deleted from the official ubi channels#or where joseph’s big scars come from#far cry 5 spoilers#mentally preparing myself in case someone requests faith :’)#these posts literally take hours to write#every time I end up answering the ask several days later

death of a true war criminal, zero accountability
Death of true war criminal, good riddance, zero accountability
The infamous US war criminal, Henry Kissinger died centenary in his bed in Kent, Connecticut, while his millions of victims all over the world were not so lucky. Kissinger would be celebrated and feted as genial geopolitical analyst, hailed as the man of rapprochement and détente between the United states and China, of the Strategic Arms Limitation Talks (SALT), arms limitation treaties between the US and the USSR, aimed at restraining the arms race in long-range or intercontinental ballistic missiles armed with nuclear weapons, which had resulted in the signing of SALT I and SALT II in 1972 and 1979, the evil who fooled Gorbachev to struck the Intermediate-Range Nuclear Forces Treaty (INF) in 1987. Kissinger might not have been motivated by hatred of communism. But he was a reactionary who empowered and enabled the sort of reactionaries for whom anticommunism was a respectable channel for America’s racist and exploitative socio-economic traditions.
Bush’s declaration of protection for Kissinger, coupled with his rejection of the Rome Treaty on the International Criminal Court, extinguished a glimmer of hope that Kissinger would someday join Pinochet under arrest. It was always a fantasy. The international architecture that the U.S. and its allies established after World War II, shorthanded today as the “rules-based international order,” somehow never gets around to applying the same pressure on a hegemonic United States as it applies to U.S.-hostile or defiant powers. It reflects the organizing principle of American exceptionalism: America acts; it is not acted upon. Henry Kissinger was a supreme architect of the rules-based international order.
Of course, the western mainstream would hide the dark side of the evil responsible of mass killing scored more than 4 million deaths according to the Yale University historian Greg Grandin, author of the biography Kissinger’s Shadow, estimating that Kissinger’s actions from 1969 through 1976, a period of eight brief years when Kissinger made Richard Nixon’s and then Gerald Ford’s foreign policy as national security adviser and secretary of state. America, like every empire, champions its state murderers. Every single person who died in Vietnam between autumn 1968 and the Fall of Saigon died because of Henry Kissin Kissinger materially sabotaged the only chance for an end to the war in 1968 as a hedged bet to ensure he would achieve power in Nixon’s administration. In February 1969, weeks after taking office, and lasting through April 1970, U.S. warplanes secretly dropped 110,000 tons of bombs on Cambodia. By the summer of 1969, according to a colonel on the Joint Staff, Kissinger — who had no constitutional role in the military chain of command — was personally selecting bombing targets. A second phase of bombing continued until August 1973, five months after the final U.S. combat troops withdrew from Vietnam. By then, U.S. bombs had killed an estimated 100000 people out of a population of only 700,000. The final phase of the bombing, which occurred after the Paris Peace Accords mandated U.S. withdrawal from Vietnam, was its most intense, an act of cruel vengeance from a thwarted superpower. Kissinger inflicted indirectly rather than by edict. In 1971, the Pakistani government waged a campaign of genocide to suppress the independence movement in what would become Bangladesh. For Kissinger, the Cold War was a geopolitical balance among two great powers. The purpose of Cold War statecraft was to maximize American freedom of action to inflict Washington’s will on the world — a zero-sum contest that meant restricting the ability of the Soviet Union to inflict Moscow’s — without the destabilization, or outright Armageddon, that would result from pursuing a final defeat of the Soviets. On September 4, 1970, Chileans elected the democratic socialist Salvador Allende president whose program was more than redistributionist, nationalizing the firms Anaconda Copper and Kennecott held by these two companies, Allende informed them he would deduct estimated “excess profit” from a compensatory package he was willing to pay the firms. It was this sort of unacceptable policy that prompted Kissinger to remark, during an intelligence meeting about two months before Allende’s election, “I don’t see why we need to stand idly by and watch a country go communist due to the irresponsibility of its own people.” The coup was only the beginning. Within two years, Pinochet’s regime invited Milton Friedman, Arnold Harberger, and other economists from the University of Chicago to advise them. Chile pioneered the implementation of their agenda: severe government budgetary austerity; relentless assaults on organized labor; privatization of state assets, including health care and public pensions; layoffs of government employees; abolition of wages and price controls; and deregulation of capital markets. “Multinationals were not only granted the right to repatriate 100 percent of their profits but given guaranteed exchange rates to help them do so,” Grandin writes in his book Empire’s Workshop. European and American bankers flocked to Chile before its 1982 economic collapse. The World Bank and Inter-American Development Bank loaned Pinochet $3.1 billion between 1976 and 1986. Pinochet’s torture chambers were the maternity ward of neoliberalism, a baby delivered bloody and screaming by Henry Kissinger. This was the “just and liberal world order” Hillary Clinton considered Kissinger’s life work.

I was tagged by: @polkadotpatterson (aka told irl I was being tagged, lol)
current time: 9:37 pm
current activity: just got back from a fun day out walking and having coffee on the waterfront & dinner at a diner and am now hanging out on the couch with my beloved partner 😌
currently thinking about: I've been thinking a lot lately about the state of monetization/enshittification on the internet - eg, the ways twitter is failing, the horrifying overrreach of Meta, and why websites like Wikipedia have remained largely independent, and what the internet could look like without constantly catering to the currently evaporating shell game of making money off users of their sites via advertising or predatory methods (and how that might work - like can voluntary donation work for something like a social media?)
current favourite song: My current top song is a House in Nebraska by Ethel Cain (that whole album is great - sort of southern gothic tragedy that's both so doomed by the narrative in a meta sense but also grounded and visceral) but I also want to shoutout Death of an AI by yeule (ethereal innocence-as-tragedy in a sense)
currently reading: back and forth between Harrow the Ninth and a nonfiction called Effortless by Greg Keown, which I'm reading mostly to try and figure out how to spend less time doing my job lol
currently watching: watched one of the new episodes of black mirror recently and the concept was interesting enough, and then also slowly working my way through the Makanai, which is about a teenager living with her friend and acting as the cook for a house of maikos (entertainers in training) - very peaceful.
current favourite character: can't pick just one ofc, but I've been thinking a lot about the Salt universe Moist Talkers and their relationships with each other as they adjust to being on the team, as well as my fanteam in the same universe, the Vancouver Deltas - they're only side characters for the Salt, but I'm way too attached to them anyways and have backstories on all of them
current wips: work is killing and rending and murdering me so I've barely written anything recently but the next wips are going to be for the Salt when we get zine 2 going!
Tagging: idk I think Cynda tagged everyone I know who hasn't done it so anyone who'd like to please feel free!

I want to talk to someone about Steven universe and it’s lore. About how it makes sense that Greg never took Steven to the doctors or school. About what did the rest of the world think when Gem stuff happened and effected other countries or you know the whole worlds water salt water bodies were gone and what that should’ve led to for other people but because Steven isn’t connected to the outside world and doesn’t know about big news

"Texas is the energy capital of the world, and we are ready to be No. 1 in advanced nuclear power," Texas Governor Greg Abbott said in a news release Monday announcing the final report produced by the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group (TANRWG) that he created in August, 2023. The group’s charge was to conduct a study and report detailing the potential for Texas to become a leader in the arena of advanced nuclear technology creation and deployment in the same way it currently leads the nation in oil and gas, and the deployment of wind and solar power generation.
A Strong Nuclear Playing Field in Texas
In the 78-page report released Monday, the TANRWG describes a playing field on which Texas is already home to a pair of major nuclear projects - the South Texas Nuclear Project and the Comanche Peak Nuclear Plant - along with the Pantex Plant outside Amarillo, which serves as the primary domestic facility responsible for the maintenance and security of the U.S. nuclear stockpile. The state is also home to a massive known resource of uranium that accounts for 8% of total domestic reserves.
In addition to all that, on page 9 of the report, the authors point to the project underway to develop the state’s first advanced molten salt reactor which Doug Robison, founder and CEO of main funder Natural Resources, told me earlier this year could begin live tests as early as 2026. That project is a joint effort of Natura Resources and Abilene Christian University and is housed on the ACU campus. Three other universities - The University of Texas, Texas A&M University, and the Georgia Institute of Technology - are research partners in the project.
On September 16, Natura announced it had secured its final construction permit from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission needed to proceed to completion. It is the “first construction permit for a liquid-fueled advanced reactor and only the second for any advanced reactor issued by the NRC.”
