But it definitely isn't going to be the same. I mean it came back with a notice of thank to Trump speech. Be for real very few people are actually thanking him and everyone is still weary about it all. The ban wasn't even 24hrs. It just feels bad and there's no lives currently (from what I've currently seen at 7pm 1/19/2025) and rumors of the Ben and Jerry's profile is gone which is crazy but not surprising since they organized or promoted a protest because of the ban. And protests are currently happening because it's wasn't about the app where we have memes it was about how easily accessible we got information. It's about free speech. It's about the people having a space to do that. And the government took it away.

I don't actually care that they gave it back before lunch. I care about how trusted this source is and what new filters were placed.

I did not last a day without my Shayla (TikTok) I downloaded REDnote or little red book or [insert it's real Chinese name here that I should know] it's not even the tiktoks themselves or the doom scrolling. I had my fic recs there, more than a thousand saved sounds to disassociate with. I was in better communication and was able to relate to my cousin in Mexico through memes and random videos. I found more things to do in my city that I know my mom would love to do. And gone those family owned businesses, obscure restaurants, etc.

They took away the circus and if it comes back in a way that satisfies the senators and stock holders it won't be the same. People became more aware of the outside world with tiktok. The news was so uncensored and unfiltered and it came fast. Updates from Gaza updates on shootings updates on Congress. I can't imagine that it'll stay that way when it comes back
