RAISED BED GARDEN DESIGN | Year: 2021 | Location: Leeds, UK | Design: JKDesigns feat. Attractive Gardens Leeds (attractivegardens.com) | Visualization: JKDesigns
This project in particular was a lot of fun. I've had freedom to do whatever I like and this is amazing! Our plan was to incorporate existing photinia tree to something new and beautiful. Greg helped me with choosing the colour pallet and guided me to the result you're seeing now. We also decided to use concrete balls as accent elements of the design. I think it turned out pretty good. What do you think?

There's only one possible response to this ...
Tumblr media
'Very interesting ...'
Of course, the name is taken from Germany's Osnabrück am Schwansee, but trivia fans may be interested to learn there was once an Ostbrück (Eastbridge) in the German version of the Elder Scrolls novel 'The Infernal City' by Greg Keyes. It was located just south of the lake island the Imperial City sits on, near Sardavar Leed and Sweetwater.
Will take a look at this once we've got the chance, but have to say that the 1.8 GB file attached to it alone ought to have stopped the usual suspects from auto-hitting the like button like rats looking for a food pellet and this place be properly checked out and reviewed first.
Ostbrück am Schwansee itself seems to be only 32Mb in size (the rest of the file is the merged CC required to make it look the way it does plus a saved 'starting' file) Will give this the once over when we have the chance.

"Ostbrück is a city full of history. Rich History. A total gorgeous lake, beautiful old buildings, some even leading back to medieval times. And let's not forget the mighty castle "Schloss Eisenhut" which is the citys' superstar. Ostbrück has been exisiting for a long time now and it's still shining bright to this day with many young and ambitious sims coming to this town to fullfill their lives. Oh yeah almost forgot! It's not the cheapest city!"
ITS HEREEE! After months of hard work I finally managed to create my own European world called "Ostbrück am Schwansee"! Dive into a beautiful, semi-realistic European world with dozens of historical buildings, a castle, a lake and lots of pedestrian areas. All built by me!
It's a small world with 53 lots, housing 62 Sims and features most of the rabbitholes + an university. I invested a lot of time in fixing issues, routing and so on so the world runs even with a lot of CC totally fantastic! Please please please tag me if you post screenshots when playing it! I would love to see!
How to install, populated save file and required CC is all included in the download. A huge thank you to all the amazing CC creators out here, without your creations this world wouldn't have been possible. Please make sure to check them out and support them. There is a creditlist and Links in the download!
I will keep all my creations for Sims 3 for obvious reasons for free, however creating worlds is a time consuming and sometimes harsh process with the buggyness of the game sometimes, so it would mean the world for me for some extra support :)!

If something doesnt work, please tell me and I will try to help you. Otherwise Enjoy <3

Tough task ahead
A serious test lies ahead for North End this weekend when we travel to Elland Road to take on Leeds United on Sunday with a 12.00 kick off. The game comes on the back of a home win against Bristol City last weekend when North End showed just what could be achieved when you have attacking intent and your best players on the pitch. With the game looking like a cure for insomnia at half time Ryan Lowe made three changes at the break and took the game to the Robins. The outcome was a well earned three points and many people around Deepdale saying we told you so. Mind you we are only the fans and what have we ever done in football apart from stay loyal to our club for a lifetime. The task in West Yorkshire will be very difficult for North End although we took all three points in the reverse fixture on Boxing Day at Deepdale so while we should respect Leeds we should in no way be overawed at the prospect of facing them on their own middin`.
Last Saturday Bristol City were the visitors to Deepdale in a game that was undeniably a contest of two halves. A first forty five minutes of half chances and much sideways and backwards passing saw North End go in at 0-0 at the break and with several boos echoing around Deepdale. I thought the boos were more likely being aimed at the manager but nevertheless it wasnt pleasant to hear although some will feel it was justified. At the interval Lowe made three changes and brought on three attacking players in Riis, Keane and Frokjaer. The impact was immediate and North End finished up winning the game by two goals to nil courtesy of Will Keane who really should be playing in an advanced position every week. Perhaps the Robins had their minds on Tuesday`s FA Cup replay but nevertheless it was a decent win for North End and three welcome points.
Sunday lunchtime sees us travel to Elland Road to play Leeds it what looks one of the toughest assignments of the season. Having been done 0-3 at Leicester and 2-4 at Ipswich I am not unduly hopeful that we can come away from this game with anything at all. However we have overcome tougher games than this and the fact we have beaten Leeds once this season must go in our favour. Leeds remain the only team unbeaten at home in the Championship having won nine and drawn four of their thirteen home games scoring twenty nine goals and conceding just ten. The Peacocks currently sit fourth in this very competitive Championship and with North End`s recent record most pundits will have this down as a banker home win. Ryan Lowe must deliver a pre match talk that sends North End out fired up to the hilt because if the home side score early on and our heads go down then I think it might be a long afternoon for North End.
And finally this week:- North End announced their annual financial results on Wednesday, the "highlights" of which are as follows -
Turnover increased by 13%
Improvements across all income streams
Season card sales highest for 60 years at 11,981
Home attendances up 30% - due to reduced season card prices no doubt
Loss after tax down from 16.9m to 12.2m
Shareholders contribution around 11.0m
Most of the above shows things moving in the right direction off the field and the Hemmings family are to be applauded for that. However it is only half of the picture, as we know, and things must improve consistently on the field if the club is to move forward again in 2023-24
Just one more thing to report this week and that is the very sad news that Tommy Beattie passed away on Tuesday of this week. Tommy was a lifelong North End fan and it is real coincidence his first game was Tom Finney`s debut against Leeds United at Deepdale in 1946. North End play Leeds, of course, at the weekend. Tommy was a stalwart of the St Gregs travel club and always the most pleasurable and enjoyable company to be with. His passing leaves Deepdale a poorer place. RIP Tom and my deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Continue reading Untitled

Someone asked me, “Aren’t you worried about the state of the world?” I allowed myself to breathe and then I said, “What is most important is not to allow your anxiety about what happens in the world to fill your heart. If your heart is filled with anxiety, you will get sick, and you will not be able to help.” There are wars - big and small - in many places, and that can cause us to lose our peace. Anxiety is the illness of our age. We worry about ourselves, our family, our friends, our work, and the state of the world. If we allow worry to fill our hearts, sooner or later we will get sick. - Thich Nhat Hanh

How did Dennis Spagarino die? Rugby league world referee's cause of death revealed
Tumblr media Tumblr media
How did Dennis Spagarino die? Rugby league world referee's cause of death revealed Rugby league referee Dennis Spagarino dies aged 70 of MND. Let's  look at the rugby referee and the cause of his death.
Career journey of Dennis Spagarino
Spagarino, 70, was a life member of NSW Rugby League and the Referees Association. His legacy includes umpires overseeing Rugby League World Cup Finals, NRL Grand Finals and State of Origin. He coached junior referees for decades, worked as a video referee and was elected President of the NSW Referees Association. Spagarino was one of the inaugural recipients of the Australian Sports Medal, established by former Prime Minister John Howard in 2000 to mark the start of the new millennium. For rugby league, he and former captain Kevin Sinfield have been at the forefront of the fight against MND in England. Sinfield raised £7 million through three challenges—seven marathons in seven days, running 101 miles in 24 hours, and most recently, completing seven ultramarathons in one week. However, in Australia, the MND patient was an arbiter.
NSWRL Umpires Coach
Spagarino, 70, was promoted from the western suburbs to become a successful first-class referee, taking charge of 22 matches from 1984-88. He also took on the role of NSWRL umpires coach and was instrumental in assisting the development of officials going on to NRL careers. He also held the position of President of the New South Wales Rugby League Referees Association (NSWRLRA). Greg McCallum, a former first-class umpire and NSWRLRA executive, said Spagarino contributed to the ambiguity surrounding umpire nominations. As president of the association, according to McCallum, he gained valuable knowledge about how the refereeing industry works. "Communication was his priority and he later established close relationships with bodies such as the NSWRL and NRL. As not everyone can umpire Test matches and championship finals, he has been able to deal with a wide range of personalities and skill levels.
Awards and recognition
Along with NSWRL Life Membership, Spagarino was also awarded Life Membership of the Western Suburbs Umpires Association. NSWRL director and NSWRLRA president Keith Green said Spagarino was highly respected and greatly admired. "That's not just with the refereeing community, but the rugby league world as a whole," Green said. "He made a significant contribution to the umpiring ranks on the field, but more importantly off the field, as a coach and his long-term commitment to his profession." Spagarino was one of the first recipients of the Australian Sports Medal after it was introduced in 2000 by former Prime Minister John Howard. "He had a good balance between the managerial-administrative side, but was always concerned with the welfare of the people," McCallum said. "He personally cared about you and your refereeing ability. "He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a very approachable and caring person."
Cause of death
The NSWRL was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of respected referee and NSWRL Life Member Dennis Spagarino who recently lost his battle with Motor Neurone Disease. Thanks to Leeds Rhinos legend Rob Burrow, rugby league and motor neurone disease will always be linked, for better or worse. This is beneficial in some ways as it has made new people aware of the challenges posed by the disease. The rugby league community is now doing an amazing job supporting the MND community, raising funds and awareness. Burrow's battle with the disease, which he received his diagnosis in December 2019, has certainly been heartbreaking.
Condolences
The NSWRL extends its deepest condolences to his wife Karen, daughters Debra and Joan, his extended family and Dennis Spagarino's many friends. Dennis Spagarino, best known to the rugby league community as a former Winfield Cup referee, passed away today at Concord Hospital, his family announced. He is the 689th person to be 'graded' by the New South Wales Rugby League Referees Association. https://t.co/NN8JJelZGZ — Brenden Wood (@BrendenWood) December 5, 2022 My thoughts are with the family of Dennis Spagarino. A prolific contributor to the rugby league umpire ranks for a long time. https://t.co/jXuHrmPAeq — Matt Pritchard (@MattPNBL) December 6, 2022 Also read: How did Kirstie Alley die?
