The second example is looking at it from a design perspective. The brand also reimagined 400-year-old steel knight's armour in the form of thigh-high boots and stilettos made from a lacquered material, designed to represent fashion as "a type of armour worn to protect against the elements of judgment”.  

Along the journey, there are the words "breathe" and "hold" printed across the circle and on the ‘skins’ to encourage the player to participate in a meditation-style breathing exercise this means Balenciaga is taking into consideration the mental well-being of their players. Cambe says: ’’Afterworld will reward players who beat the game with a “real-life breathing exercise set in a virtual utopia”. If that doesn’t sound like something we all need in 2020, we don’t know what does’’ Cambe (2020). This is also seen in the serious game ‘Greenhabit’, using the reward system for the players to continue the game. Balenciaga rewarded their players with real-life breathing exercises. This is the effective tool of 1.’engagement and immersion’. Balenciaga also used the engagement and immersive elements by the creation of a story with beautiful surroundings and avatars that are dressed within their collection, this makes you want to keep playing and exploring. With the 2.’effectiveness potential’ Balenciaga created more awareness for the players to take care of their mental health, by including items like breathing exercises. This created 3.’positive emotions improve learning’.
