Guess who’s going to subject Tumblr to Henry Twilliger thoughts? :DD

Heads up for the new long form, Green Leaves on a Summer’s Day, spoilers!

(Side note, I have not watched Marigolds, Bluebells, and Hugh but people on the discord said there’s crossover potential there :))

Anyway, Henry has to have been kidnapped by Mildred, right? That’s why he called her Mildred in the beginning and that’s why Mildred was trying to coerce Little Hampton into staying with her: she’s done this before.

I assume he was taken rather early because Henry speaks like a kid/teenager most of the play. He refers to Little Hampton as a friend and someone to play with. Maybe he’d gone over Mildred’s fence and he was about to be drained of youth so he appealed to her to be her son/helper. She agrees and locks him with her with magic for the next two hundred years.

Now the question is: how did Henry play for the Miami Dolphins? I’ve got a small theory/head canon where Henry begged Mildred enough to go play American football that she eventually agreed. He finally got to go out and hang out with actual people again.

And then he comes back and finds out that Mildred has been draining a lot of football talents and young people “for him.” The only reason her magic was able to extend far enough was because she killed all those people. Then Henry, out of guilt, quit the football league and went to stay with Mildred forever.

Some small ideas :) I like when characters can’t leave somewhere for a variety of reasons

I haven't finished the latest longform yet because a fucking huge spider decided to crawl out of hell and run across my living room floor right towards me, nearly giving me a heart attack and forcing me to call in reinforcements aka my lovely neighbour to rescue me.

Anyway, I've just reached the point where Sam is talking about maxifauna and no. No, Sam. The word you're looking for is megafauna *cries in palaeontologist*

Also the moose is only the second largest land mammal in North America. The largest is the bison though I suppose Sam probably meant the tallest so I'll let that slide.

Last days of august. It is upcoming a new age. With a name autumn. First days of autumn – it is very beautiful and refreshing. It is still a summer weather. And so beautiful at the streets, because of colorful leaves. Especially at the open space. With a park or trees along the road. And a big angle of view. Clear sky. In a far – houses. Such a feeling with a little wind.

That ending nearly took me out. AJ and Tom went insane, at least, Mr Twiliger seemed to be fine with that. I do think Little Hampton is going to be quite scarred by the entire event, beginning right from his neighbours turning out to be ancient life-sucking forces!!

Ooh, I would like to imagine him to be someone who ends up fighting (or attracting? same same but different!) supernatural through all his life 🤔

But that also sounds an obvious direction for their life to go into (like after the entire ordeal their family moves somewhere else or takes a vacation where they end up running into local mysteries and secrets).
