Assassin, Part 3
Fem Reader x Raphael
Warning: graphic description of a bipolar crash (or, at least how I experience them) over this chapter and the next. Please take care of yourselves and don't read if you think it might trigger you. Much love to my fellow rapid-cyclers.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 4 Part 5
After the storm of emotion had passed, Splinter sat with Raphael until the moon had crossed over the house, discussing the matter more calmly with his son. Eventually, Raphael felt stable enough to at least make it to bed.
The front steps groaned under his weight, and the paint flaked off the banister like snow in July, as he made his way up the front porch. Today had been a lot.
It had started out beautifully. The early morning mist held fast to the light of dawn as the five of you spent the morning setting everything up. Light swirled around your waist as you worked on place settings, and he was pulled to you.
He walked up behind you, just watching for a moment, affection blooming in his chest. You had ruined his life in the best possible way. Meeting you had brought up so many things he thought he'd let go of a long time ago. It made him hurt in ways he can't even begin to describe. And he is so very grateful.
You'd held each other, swimming in the golden light, and for just one moment he knew how it felt to hold sunlight in his arms.
Then, the ceremony.
Raphael reaches for the screen door handle and depresses the button, pulling it open. The hinges screech their usual protestations, and he cringes as the sound digs the exhaustion headache further into his skull.
That low had hit hard and he should have been expecting it. It'd been a minute since he got triggered like that, but you've always had a way of getting inside his head... You were so damn beautiful...
"Hey," you'd said, peeking around the door to the "boys room" where Casey and the guys were drinking waiting. "You guys almost ready?" When you stepped around and into the room, Raphael forgot how to breathe.
Perfectly coifed and painted in pin curls and neutral make up, and adorned with matching teardrop moissanites in your ears and around your neck (a pre-wedding gift from your brother), you looked like you'd stepped off the silver screen in 1940.
The silk of your floor length forest green dress flowed around you like ink in water, and the thin straps holding it up might as well have been non-existent. His eyes followed the curve of your neck down to your shoulder. His mouth watered and his mind wandered. He wondered what it would taste like. He looked away. Fuck's sake. Couldn't he just look at his beautiful friend in peace?
Minutes later, you'd slipped your arm through his as the two of you waited for your cue to walk down the aisle. A light dusting of pink bloomed in your cheeks when his arm had brushed against your silk covered breast, and your warmth radiated through contact. That warmth poured into his veins, and he felt something in his chest begin to spin.
It had been such a good week. Too good. And some part of him knew that. He'd drawn a deep breath, and exhaled, maintaining a mask of calm. He could feel the crash coming, and prayed he could at least make it to the other side of the wedding before it hit.
He'd spent the week in bliss, planning, packing, driving, and setting up his best friend's wedding with the most beautiful, sweet, smart, and sassy woman in the world. Now, he was going to pay for it.
Don't think about it. Don't think about where you are, or what this is, or that she's literally about to walk down an aisle with you. *Don't* think about it.
The awaited cue came and the two of you stepped out into the early evening light. He'd tried so hard not to look at you as you crossed the threshold, but it had been a lost cause from the beginning.
A Summer Goddess walked beside him. Skin full of golden sunlight, you'd caught his eye out of the corner of yours and your playful smile could have lit up the world. When three steps in the skirt of your dress fully bloomed to reveal a scandalous amout of leg from the slit three-quarters of the way up your thigh, he nearly tripped.
Every look, every brush of silk against his skin sent ripples through him, pushing the spinning in his chest faster. It was the longest twenty-five feet of his life.
When you reached the archway, you turned to him and your hand slid, feather light, down his arm into his. He gazed down at you and smiled.
He wanted to stop you. To pull back on your hand and pull you into him. To take his own and place it softly against your cheek, the other around your waist. He wanted to look into your eyes with every word he's choked down since the moment he met you. He wanted to slide his hand into your hair, tilt your head up, and capture your mouth with his.
This was the closest he would ever get.
With one last gentle squeeze, your hand slipped from his, and his fingers tingled from the loss of contact. You'd each walked to your respective places, and when the music changed over and Bride walked down the aisle, all eyes were on April.
Except his.
.....
Less a lover, more a fighter
But I'm tired of fighting to hold on
Got too many scars to hide them
So it's easier being on my own
But you
Shoot first, draw blood, before I know
Yeah you
One shot, one touch, and I let go
How did this happen?
My walls were up and
You moved without a sound
Never imagined, like an assassin
One look to me down
Assassin - Sultan + Shepherd

Caring | John Price x F!Reader
a/n: literally just john taking care of you. man is a worshipper, you can’t tell me shit
warnings: none, just caring and loving captain john price :D
summary: After a night out, John always follows through on his rituals.
Pushing aside your hair, John’s calloused fingertips brushed against the back of your neck as he undid your necklace. The heavy necklace full of beautiful stones now settled in his hand, he carefully placed it upon your dresser. He moved around to your front, his hands finding your ears and carefully taking out the matching earrings - the earrings and necklace a set he had just bought you. Forest green sapphires with glittering moissanites, a set he thought would look beautiful on you - and he was right. He was always right, because everything he bought for you looked divine on your skin.
He settled the earrings on the dresser as well, kneeling in front of you. His hand swooped behind one of your calves, grazing the skin to pull your foot towards him. His focus was on the clasp of your heels, gently pulling them off and setting them down next to the dresser with care.
These were the things John Price always did. for you, no matter the amount of protesting you did. He’d shrug off the, “You’re tired, honey, I can do it myself” and still kneel in front of you, taking off your jewelry and shoes after a night out. He’d help you shower if you wanted, and helped you into your pajamas before letting himself lay halfway on top of you, face in your neck and leg hooked over your legs.
Both shoes were set beside your dresser, he reached out for your hands - you set them in his grasp, allowing him to undo the clasps of your bracelets, sliding them off and onto the dresser before his hands found your stacks of rings, gently sliding them off your fingers. The only one that stayed on your hand was the glittering diamond engagement ring, he made sure it still fit without hurting you.
“John,” You whispered, his blue eyes flickered up to your face from your hands, he looked concerned. “You don’t have to keep doing this.”
He chuckled a little, pulling both of your knuckles to his lips, kissing them. “Of course I do. I’m going to marry you and never stop doing this for you.” Another kiss to your hands, he settled them back in your lap. “No matter how much you protest or get tired of it, I love taking care of you.”
You reached forwards for him, he stilled as your hands reached his tie. Loosening it, you began to undo it - slipping it off of his collar yet his hands take it from you. Your eyes flickered to his.
“Let me do it, darling.” He tossed the tie aside without a care, hands moving to your knees to which he kneeled in front of. He sighed, gently settling his cheek on your thigh, eyes gazing up at you.
Your hand settled on his jaw, gently swiping your thumb over his well-groomed beard, a smile on your face.
“I would do anything for you.”

if sandra lynn and jawbone ever got engaged i dont think it would be the typical proposal at dinner or getting down on one knee
I think jawbone would bring up the posibility of getting married, bring up the tax benefits and theyve been together for so long, they could still be open but now the more oficial not they werent oficial before - basicly word vomit to sandra lynn about how he wants to marry her and see if she would want that in the future
After jawbone's word vomit it over sandra lynn think about it for a while holds his hands and says something along the lines of "yes jawbone ill marry you"
jawbone is shocked, perplexed even this wasnt the proposal and in his shock
he say "d-does this means were engaged?"
Sandra lynn : well i would hope so
Jawbone : I don't have a ring picked out for you
Sandra lynn: we can pick them out together
sandra lynn pick out a more traditionally masculine ring and jawbone pick out a more traditionally feminine ring
Im thinking sandra lynn pick out styles similar to these with the brown moissanite
And jawbone picks out something like this with green sapphires
Alternatives are
sandra lynn proposes instead of jawbone
Jawbone and sandra lynn propose at the same time jawbone with the ring in the champagne and when Sandra lynn notices laughes she pulls out the ring she brought
#Yes their stones match each others eyes i think its cute#I think about them a normal amount#sandra lynn faeth#jawbone o'shaughnessey#fantasy high#dimension 20

Buying Crystals - Common Fakes
Part 5 of 7 in a guide for buying crystals. Read the rest here!
We are finally at the wholly fake crystals! These crystals are either dupes of real ones, real crystals passed off as other crystals, or man-made crystals without a natural analogue. I'm excited to get into this because once you know what to look for, its hard to be scammed.
And to be clear, if you value any of these, either as collector's items or as spiritual tools, that's perfectly fine. My issue is when people try to pass off crystals (or not-crystals!) as something they're not.
Real Crystals Sold As Fakes
Howlite - A very common dupe for turquoise. Real turquoise is very expensive, so cheap turquoise is likely to be dyed howlite. This may also be called turquenite. Acetone removes dyes.¹ ⁶
Malachite - Genuine malachite is green to dark green (never stark black), the colours fade together softly, without uniform patterns, and often with circular patterning. Conversely, fake malachite, often made of resin, may have black, hard lines, and uniform patterning normally without circular patterns.²
Clear quartz - Clear quartz is often faked using glass. Real clear quarts will have some kind of inclusion, even if they’re not visible to the eye, and will NEVER have bubbles in it.³
Obsidian - There are many types of natural glass, such as obsidian and moldavite. Real obsidian is opaque, dense, and its colours range from black to brown. Many fake obsidians promise vibrant colours impossible for real obsidian to form as.⁴
Moldavite - Moldavite is incredibly rare due to not only being found in one location, but being exclusively formed by meteorite activity. Real moldavite will be mossy-coloured, while fakes may tend towards light green. White moldavite is not real; it is typically calcite.⁵⁻⁶
Moissanite - Natural moissanite is incredibly rare. Most on the market will be synthetics.⁶
Citrine - Citrine is heated amethyst, but most citrine on the market will be artificially heated and sold as natural. Natural citrine has a colour ranging from olive to lemonade, and will never be found on a geode. A telltale sign of artificial citrine is any sign of a parent geode, especially a bright white colour on the bottom of the crystal, as well as the crystal’s colour generally looking “crispy” or bright orange.⁹
Prasiolite - Green quartz is incredibly rare in nature, and thus, most found on the market will be heat treated amethyst of certain localities. Typically, natural prasiolite is light, translucent green, while darker varieties are treated.¹¹
Geodes - Geodes are typically made of quartz, but less commonly calcite, dolomite, aragonite, akerite, hematite, magnetitie, pyrite, chalcopyrite, and sphalerite.¹² Anything else is either incredibly rare or nonexistent. Many geodes may be dyed, modified, or sold as crystals they are not.¹³
Man-Made Crystals Without Natural Analogues
Glass (artificial) - There are many types of glass that are sold as natural crystals, such as goldstone (erroneously marketed as sunstone) and opalite (opal imitation, erroneously marketed as moonstone).¹⁰
Smelt quartz - Also known as cherry, blueberry, etc. quartz, are made of dyed glass.⁶
Slag - Slag is the byproduct of smelting. Names of commonly sold slags are: Fordite/Detroit agate, Sieber agate, andara crystal, rosarita, leklai, Frankfort green, and Leland blue.⁶⁻⁸
Cermikite - Also called alum crystal, these are commonly made in “grow your own crystal” kits. They are made of potassium aluminium sulphate.⁶
Chalcanthite - Synthetic crystal made of copper sulphate. Natural chalcanthite is incredibly rare and grows as fibrous crystals. This is a toxic crystal.⁶
Lopezite - Synthetic made of potassium dichomate. This is a toxic crystal.⁶
Cubic zirconia - Diamond imitation made of zirconium dioxide.⁶

I cannot list all possible fakes and dupes. However, I can point to a few sites.

If you need more specific advice, I'd say to simply search "how to tell if [crystal] is real/fake."
In the next part, we are discussing the root of why we need to be so careful when it comes to buying crystals: capitalism.

can you guys chill lmao. just trying to help
Sapphire is a precious gemstone, a variety of the mineral corundum, consisting of aluminium oxide (α-Al2O3) with trace amounts of elements such as iron, titanium, cobalt, lead, chromium, vanadium, magnesium, boron, and silicon. The name sapphire is derived from the Latin word sapphirus, itself from the Greek word sappheiros (σάπφειρος), which referred to lapis lazuli. It is typically blue, but natural "fancy" sapphires also occur in yellow, purple, orange, and green colors; "parti sapphires" show two or more colors. Red corundum stones also occur, but are called rubies rather than sapphires. Pink-colored corundum may be classified either as ruby or sapphire depending on locale. Commonly, natural sapphires are cut and polished into gemstones and worn in jewelry. They also may be created synthetically in laboratories for industrial or decorative purposes in large crystal boules. Because of the remarkable hardness of sapphires – 9 on the Mohs scale (the third hardest mineral, after diamond at 10 and moissanite at 9.5) – sapphires are also used in some non-ornamental applications, such as infrared optical components, high-durability windows, wristwatch crystals and movement bearings, and very thin electronic wafers, which are used as the insulating substrates of special-purpose solid-state electronics such as integrated circuits and GaN-based blue LEDs. Sapphire is the birthstone for September and the gem of the 45th anniversary. A sapphire jubilee occurs after 65 years.
Sapphire is one of the two gem-varieties of corundum, the other being ruby (defined as corundum in a shade of red). Although blue is the best-known sapphire color, they occur in other colors, including gray and black, and also can be colorless. A pinkish orange variety of sapphire is called padparadscha.
Significant sapphire deposits are found in Australia, Afghanistan, Cambodia, Cameroon, China (Shandong), Colombia, Ethiopia, India Jammu and Kashmir (Padder, Kishtwar), Kenya, Laos, Madagascar, Malawi, Mozambique, Myanmar (Burma), Nigeria, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tanzania, Thailand, United States (Montana) and Vietnam. Sapphire and rubies are often found in the same geographical settings, but they generally have different geological formations. For example, both ruby and sapphire are found in Myanmar's Mogok Stone Tract, but the rubies form in marble, while the sapphire forms in granitic pegmatites or corundum syenites.
Every sapphire mine produces a wide range of quality, and origin is not a guarantee of quality. For sapphire, Jammu and Kashmir receives the highest premium, although Burma, Sri Lanka, and Madagascar also produce large quantities of fine quality gems.
The cost of natural sapphires varies depending on their color, clarity, size, cut, and overall quality. Sapphires that are completely untreated are worth far more than those that have been treated. Geographical origin also has a major impact on price. For most gems of one carat or more, an independent report from a respected laboratory such as GIA, Lotus Gemology, or SSEF, is often required by buyers before they will make a purchase.

HI ‼️‼️
can i get uhhhh help w a ydau and wdau for a second??
for the ydau, i need fusions between yellow diamond + a demantoid, yellow diamond + a rose quartz (not PD), yellow diamond + yellow spinel and yellow diamond + a default version of blue pearl - yellow is undercover as mali garnet btw
i also need help w the demamtoid's components (rubies n sapphires are roleswapped in the au if that helps lol)
for the wdau, i need a few ideas on a multicolored quartz white can go undercover as
as well as fusions between that quartz and
-a hessonite
-a flint
-a default version of pink pearl
Yeah absolutely!!
Yellow + Demantoid = sphene, parti sapphire
Yellow + a Rose Quartz = tangerine quartz, honey stone
Yellow + Yellow Spinel = golden beryl, yellow calcite
Yellow + Blue Pearl = green moissanite, fuchsite?
Ahh, so you would like the Demantoid to still be a Ruby + Sapphire fusion, but with different types of corundum?
Demantoid = green sapphire + ruby, yellow sapphire + blue sapphire?
For the WD!AU could you explain what 'default version' means before I give my answer?
Other than that:
I feel like White Diamond could make a decent Iris Agate, Rainbow Quartz, or Herkimer Diamond?
IA, RQ, or HD + Hessonite = rainbow scapolite, rainbow pyrite, welo opal
IA, RQ, or HD + Flint = rainbow moonstone, rainbow hematite, opalite?
IA/RQ/HD + Default!Pink Pearl = angel skin opal, (pink?) moissanite, perhaps scallop pearl?

The Most Popular Diamond Types in Today’s Jewelry Market
In today’s jewelry market, diamonds come in more varieties and each diamond offers its own appeal and unique qualities. In today's jewelry market some popular diamond types, from timeless natural diamonds to eco-friendly lab-grown options, dazzling simulated diamonds, and vibrant colored diamonds, there’s a gem for every style, preference, and budget-friendly. Whether you’re looking for classic elegance or something trendy and unique, understanding these diamond types can help you make the perfect choice. Let’s explore the most popular diamonds shaping today’s jewelry trends.
Four Popular Diamond Types:
1. Natural Diamonds
Natural diamonds, prized for their rare beauty and rich history, are formed deep within the earth over millions of years through intense heat and pressure. These real diamonds, brought to the surface by volcanic activity, are celebrated for their rarity and the timeless beauty they add to fine jewelry. Known as some of the hardest natural materials, they are incredibly durable, making them ideal for heirloom pieces that last generations. With a traditional charm and unmatched sparkle, natural diamonds remain the gold standard in luxury, cherished for their authenticity and enduring allure.
2. Lab-Grown Diamonds
Lab-grown diamonds are created in controlled environments that replicate the natural conditions where diamonds form, resulting in gems identical to natural diamonds in structure and brilliance. These eco-friendly diamonds provide a sustainable option, as their production requires fewer resources and leaves a smaller environmental footprint. This is Ethically sourced and free from mining practices, which makes it one of the most popular and affordable lab-grown diamond types for jewelry, especially popular for custom engagement rings. Lab-grown diamonds are certified by reputable institutions like the GIA And IGI, ensuring their quality, authenticity, and grading. As an increasingly popular choice, they combine quality and beauty with sustainability, making them ideal for those seeking ethical and budget-friendly elegance. Learn more about lab-grown diamonds.
3. Simulated Diamonds
Simulated diamonds, like cubic zirconia and moissanite, are gemstones that look like real diamonds but aren’t. These stones are created in labs using materials designed to mimic the appearance of natural diamonds. The process involves melting and crystallizing compounds to form the gems, resulting in a brilliant sparkle that resembles real diamonds. They’ve become popular because they offer a beautiful, affordable alternative gem for colored diamond jewelry lovers. Perfect for casual everyday wear, simulated diamonds provide a stunning look without the high price, making them a great choice for stylish and budget-conscious shoppers.
4. Colored Diamonds
Colored diamonds, also known as fancy diamonds, add a distinctive flair to jewelry with their vibrant hues, ranging from soft pinks and sunny yellows to bold blues and striking greens. While some of these stunning colors occur naturally, other diamonds are enhanced through treatments to achieve the desired shades. Colored diamonds have become highly sought after for their expressive and trendsetting appeal, offering a fresh and modern twist on classic gems. Each diamond’s unique color brings personality and character to any jewelry piece, making it an ideal choice for those who want a style that stands out and reflects their tastes. Learn more: How to Choose the Perfect Engagement Ring
Conclusion:
Understanding the differences between the most popular diamond types—natural, lab-grown, synthetic, and colored—can help you make an informed decision, when you choose jewelry. Whether you prioritize the timeless appeal of natural diamonds, the sustainability of lab-grown options, the affordability of synthetic stones, or the unique charm of colored diamonds, there’s a perfect gem for every taste and budget. By considering your values, style, and preferences, you can select the ideal diamond that aligns with your aesthetic and ethical choices.
