Something something about Eddie’s injury being an ankle and the play on the idea of Buck being his Achillies heel.
Something something about Achilles and Patroclus being Buck and Eddie (A&P’s relationship is essentially a queer one if you read the Iliad)
The we have Chiron, who I feel rather perfectly fits Tommy. Centaurs were considered lusty and wild (a metaphor for toxic masculinity) so Chiron rose above that to become a wise and intelligent centaur who was charged with the education of Achilles. Much like Tommy rising above the toxic masculinity of the 118 before Chim hen and Bobby arrived, to become this confident and comfortable elder queer.
Achilles is the one who taught Patroclus what Chiron had taught him. So something something about Tommy being Bucks education around his queer identity and then later perhaps we’ll see Buck passing on that wisdom to Eddie as he goes through his own journey to being an out and proud queer.
Essentially Achilles and Patroclus were childhood friends (buck and Eddie up to this point), Achilles was taught by Chiron and became a great warrior at his hand (Tommy teaching Buck and helping him on his queer journey). Achilles taught Patroclus what. Huron had taught him and Patroclus also became a great warrior. They fought alongside each other (metaphor for being work husbands) and were said to be lovers when they were adults (ergo after Chiron). They died on the battlefield shortly after one another (Achilles was killed by Paris in the Trojan war after Patroclus was killed by hector (who Achilles killed to avenge P’s death))

Herculean Strength, Sisyphean Resolve
Rating: T Word Count: 5.2k
“Who are you?” The man asks, his voice, something he can’t recall using since arriving at this not-place, sounds harsh against his ears, rattling against the bones in his skull like… like… like a metaphor he can’t remember.
The newcomer looks up at the sound, blinks rapidly against the harsh glare of the light above them as his hand comes up to shield his eyes. They’re blue. And green. And yellow around the edges.
“I think… I’m Philip, or… no, Phil. I’m Phil.” His voice is soft. “What’s your name?”
“I don’t remember,” the man says.
Phil chuckles, and the man notices the lines beside his eyes deepen, stretch across his pale skin like… like…
“That’s all right then,” Phil says. “Not like it’ll get confusing with all the other people around, huh?”
The man doesn’t smile, but Phil does. Soft and gentle and deafening.
“Are you real?” The man can’t help but ask. Because it seems rather sudden, rather inconspicuous as days go. There had been no additional hum in the air. No sense of watching or being watched.
Phil blinks at him, the smile never leaving his lips. “I think so, yeah,” he nods. “I feel real.”
The man doesn’t believe him, but he won’t tell Phil that.

is this ur main or just an art/fandoms side? you look like you would have a very aesthetic (I Cringe using that word but alas) blog with like art and history stuff 🚬
this ask making me giggleeeee i smile. in another life you knowwww i'd fuck up a mean Aesthetic tumblr blog with moodboards and shit. #studyblr tags and all. a pinterest as well. fortunately for me because it's less work and Unfortunately For You DevilEmoji because you're gonna read every thought i have about my classes This is my main. you're trapped in here with me. evil smile.
here's one such thought: i just finished Nicole Loraux "Façons tragiques de tuer une femme", which explores the theme of women's deaths within greek tragedies, what type of death are they allowed to have, what "type" of woman gets what type of death (the virgin, the fiancée, the wife, the mother,...) and it's so fascinating it genuinely made me feel like boar_with_exploding_mind_bitmoji.png. i think it's easily in my top 5 books i've ever read. i want to own a copy so, so bad but it's apparently rare of a print, has not been re-printed since like the 80s, and secondhand copies are over 40€ (for a book that's like 150 pages) this is nuts. pain and sufferingggg
anyways this ask made me smile. i look like the type don't i, i know i do, i enjoy knowing i do. unfortunately this is all there is. you will see funny farkhad pathologic image and closeted ts2 liker behaviors between two posts about the classes i'm taking.

On a mission to keep crying about Bronya and Seele and how I desperately need a Hades/Persephone AU for them because yes they absolutely fill the bill.
Goddess bronya who the people depend on her for spring and stability? Goddess bronya falling in love with purple butterflies that come and go, wanting to follow them but being stuck to her place due to her duties towards her humans? Goddess Bronya taking a step of bravery and rebellion for the first time in her life when she sees a wounded butterfly unable to go back with the rest, and instead of leaving it behind, she carries it in her palms and goes inside the caves of the Underworld until she is met with a whole new world, a world that she finds strange and terrifying, as she had heard everyone else describe it with nothing but horror. Only for her to finally find where the rest of the butterflies are, and meet the goddess that lets them run wild, and by the rest of the gods she is just as terrifying as all death gods are, and yet so incredibly beautiful under the small lights of the cave and tiny space glows of the butterflies.
Goddess of the Underworld Seele, a guardian of all deceased and those who come across the river of death, she who fights endlessly to protect her own humans, meeting a goddess from the upper world, where they say the light is fresh and no human is pale and silent. Goddess of the Underworld Seele, feeling the touch of a warmth hand for the first time in her life and feeling alive. Understanding why the humans dread this place so much, and before she knows it, she can feel her hunger for this warmth grow the more time the goddess of spring sheds her light upon her.

come on, come all to this tragic affair
a.k.a: orpheus’ intro post
hi! i’m orpheus. am i a minor? am i a major? what are you, the cops? my pronouns are he/they and this is technically a sideblog to a cringy blog i made back in lockdown, but i’d rather pretend it doesn’t exist.
i’m emo, as the blog’s name suggests and i’m really into mcr, a bit into p!atd (recovering brendon urie fan) and trying to get into fall out boy but do not know where to start. also, i do not listen to paramore all that often but the songs i have listened to are iconic!! (yes this also means i watch and adore dan and phil in the year of our lord 2024)
i also listen to a lot of 80s goth (echo and the bunnymen, the cure, siouxie, etc.) but i was not alive in the 80s so am probably missing out on some bangers.
i’m currently a bit obsessed with the rocky horror (picture) show and i have always been obsessed with greek mythology, as my name suggests. also obsessed with buffy the vampire slayer (spike, willow and oz make me go a wee bit feral) (<- he’s lying spike makes him go insane). i’m trying to learn guitar to pay respect to my bardic namesake but am horrific at it.
probably neurodivergent but who’s got time for a diagnosis, right?!?
anyway follow me if you so desire. would love some mutuals though.
(p.s: can i even follow back if this is a sideblog? i forget how this all works)
