I absolutely LOVE the sun and the star because it’s JUST-
THE SUN AND THE STAR SPOILERS AHEAD
We finally get a darker side of Will, seeing as they have to make a descent to Tartarus. I think it’s really important that we get to see Will’s struggles and insecurities as well. His struggles with not being able to save people as a healer, his guilt about Octavian’s death, and him feeling as though if he can’t help other people, he’s worthless. His dreams when they were being sent terrible nightmares cut deep.
Will’s interaction with Persephone is so good. He was so stunned by her because she was STUNNING and Nico had to remind him that that’s his STEPMOTHER. But jokes aside, it was a really nice interaction that I feel really helped Will. “Give him your darkness.” For a child of Apollo, it might seem like you don’t have darkness. Obviously, that’s not true. If you have an “opposites attract” thing going on, and you’re just so different, I feel like this is perfect advice.
After so many times where people would make head cannons about how they first met, first kissed, etc. Rick Riordan FINALLY gave us the answers!! I think they’re all so fitting. Nico’s realization that he liked Will being him taking Nico out in the woods to yell and get his anger out, their first date AND coming out being an accident, and their first kiss being an impulsive need by Will to calm Nico down about Jason’s death. It’s all so perfect!
We finally really see the sheer difference in these two. Before, it was like, “oh, son of Apollo, son of Hades, that’s weird!” But now, you really see how different they really are. Will’s difficulty in the underworld and how he was repeatedly saying, “how could anyone live down here?” really annoyed Nico. To Nico, the Underworld was home. To Will, it was a depressing place that nobody should want to live in. His energy gets drained faster there, he’s pretty much unable to heal, and he basically is clueless about it. But Nico is pretty much an expert on it. It’s good we finally see just how different they are.
AND ALSO THEY ARE JUST AN AMAZING COUPLE SO YEAH THE BOOK’S GREAT (tell me if I forgot anything or got anything wrong 😅)

When i moved into my new place there was mint planted directly into the flower bed which had grown out of control as it is an invasive plant. I spent about 5 hours digging it out and repotting it. there was more than i could pot so i froze and dried some too!!
the dried mint was the first thing i have added to my little apothecary and i’m very happy with it.
i gifted 3 pots to family and have kept the rest!

One day in Athens, Saint Porphryios was with a nun and needed to take a taxi. The taxi driver they found was an uncouth, blasphemous character. So the nun said to Saint Porphryios: "Maybe we should find another taxi." But he replied: "No, let's go with this one, but let me do all the talking."
When they got in the taxi, the taxi driver started saying all kinds of things to them about how selfish priests are, how corrupt bishops are, etc. Saint Porphyrios didn't say a word, and so neither did the nun. After going on and on for quite some time, the taxi driver started wondering why the priest and nun weren't responding. So he looked back at them and said: "So, priest, what do you have to say about all this I've said?"
Saint Porphyrios replied: "Well, let me tell you a story. There was once a very good priest in Crete whose wife had died and was living alone with his young son. But then the Nazis came and killed this priest. His son couldn't understand how God would let this happen to such a good person, and so he became very embittered and angry with God."
At this point, the taxi driver stopped the car and in tears said to Saint Porphyrios: "But, Father, that is my story." After this, the taxi driver confessed to St. Porphyrios and began to live a spiritual life.

You assumed that I could make you feel it was worth it
But all I ever did was drag you down
And bring you in and out through hell again
My goddess of light, and spring and all things good

im thinking about begger odyesseus being very frail looking and the suiters being like "oh we can take this twink" not realizing he's not starved, he in fact has been wasting himself away the past few years of loose and starvation at every corner and ruined his muscles, meaning he cant bulk up and be built like he was when he was younger anyway-
