she's here, she's arrived - it's july ko-fi time and the au i wrote a longer fic for this time is the wine party au! a quick rundown of the wine party au: obi-wan is a bit of a wine snob/retired chef and sommelier. anakin is a bit of a broke college student/retired frat bro. they fuck a lot and enter a quasi-relationship where they find each other fascinating and attractive but hate everything about the other except for all the parts they like. padmé and her psychologist friends find them fascinating. here is the tumblr tag for the au, and here are the links to the two ficlets I've written for the wine party au in the past: Tumblr Tag / Past Ficlets For Wine Party AU

“I don’t know, Padmé,” Anakin says, squinting at her tiny face on his phone. “I wasn’t asked to bring anything.” On screen, Padmé rolls her eyes. “You’ve been to enough of these things by now, Anakin. You should know you always bring something.” “I’ve been to a lot of these things at Kenobi’s house,” Anakin corrects, setting the phone down against the toaster so he can survey the kitchen around him. “I’ve never been to a fancy rich party on a big boat before.” “A yacht,” Padmé corrects. “And don’t try to pretend you’re not on first name terms with Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker. I’m a renowned psychologist, not an idiot, and don’t think I haven’t noticed the hickies on your neck after every wine party you attend with me.” “He’s a dick,” Anakin tells her. “And those could have been from anyone. Your other friend there, Organa maybe.” “My happily married and very straight friend, Bail Organa?” she asks, with such a tone of disbelief that Anakin entertains the idea of hanging up on her. It’d certainly make him feel better for a few moments at least. “Yeah,” he says staunchly anyway.  “Better him than Kenobi.” Kenobi, who is a dick. Kenobi, who always looks at him with a slightly incredulous sneer, as if he’s unsure who allowed him into his social circle, or like he’s just caught him wearing muddy shoes on his precious white fur rugs.

not to get emotional on main but to get emotional on main, i cannot stop thinking about my fiancé and our wedding. like i have to warn you any time i write a jegulus wedding it’s just. it’s kit and i’s wedding. my sunshine and me. “regulus” and “james” are just stand-ins for us. i saw pictures of them at one of her family members’ wedding the other day and i cannot stop thinking about them because he is so beautiful and i can’t wait for us to dance in the rain in the irish autumn chill. i have found The One my fiancée is. better than y’all’s not to brag.

You know while the fact that so many of our queer shows are getting cancelled, shortened or even taken off air entirely (in Willow’s case) fucking sucks, I am so glad to have seen them. I want to hold that. My joy that they have come to exist at all. Even in a world that is still hostile or apathetic in so many ways. They have been made. I have seen them. I have seen myself. That means so much. And all the people who have fought tooth and nail for every character and scene that has brought me joy, helped me feel seen, helped me feel comfortable in my own skin, I want to say thank you

I wonder how much it would mean to Jason and simultaneously fuck him over if the ghost of someone’s he’s killed victims just popped in and started thanking him for (kinda accidentally) avenging their deaths

Like, he gets a little messed up for a bit nowadays when he has to kill someone, but before he was dishing it out like candy to people who deserved it before toning himself down

The random appearance of someone he’s avenged with his old actions just popping in to thank him and say they’re his hero would probably feel a little screwy

I say this because (thanks to retcons) Kit Freeman was a victim of Captain Nazi when he crashed into the fishing boat he was on with his family, and Jason killed Captain Nazi in the UtRH comic with a high powered taser to the eyes.

And with red hoods whole thing being the guy who puts the fear of god back into villains who don’t fear Batman and are far past redemption, while being something he argues with Bruce over because of the ethics of, yknow, murder, it’s what avenged Kit. Freddy wanted to but couldn’t because either he can’t bring himself to kill or bc Captain Marvel forcefully hold him back bc murder is wrong depending on the comic, Kit hasn’t gotten the chance to confront him himself from what I’ve read, but Jason did and he took care of him.

But also, like, the vindication of having a victim seemingly coming from the freaking beyond to say thanks for the murder, the guy deserved it.

this is srsly just a personal need but like i rlly want to see a new perspective in being powerful within the tsh universe, and for kit specifically.

what i mean to say is i think weve yet to see a character who gets drunk or high on power (correct me if im wrong) but i would genuinely love to see that with kit. it just reminds me of one of the first scenes we see of him handling grief, (when he opens the door to the institute for the first time and breaks down by laughing) idk i just think that would make for such a heartbreaking but cool scene 😭

that would genuinely be so so cool and like the greatest thing ever. like man, i would swoon so hard. and no u did NOT mention the entering institute scene! THAT MESSED ME UP SO BAD :( him using humour as a coping mechanism hits home icl but like he was having a truly rough day and i feel so bad for him. he needs to be protected at all costs <3

but yeah kit! powerful! faerie magic! badass! let’s fucking go! i wanna see that so freaking badly ahhhh!
