Type: Romantic Film: The Holiday Featured Characters: Graham Simpkins and Amanda Woods
Graham Simpkins and Amanda Woods—where does one even begin? Sometimes, I can’t believe how much The Holiday packs into a single movie while it balances two gorgeous love stories with complex character journeys. But then again, I can; it’s why it’s so iconic and why so many of us keep returning to it every year.
The most impressive detail about Graham and Amanda’s relationship is how many tropes Nancy Meyers plays with and how effectively they each thread together to create a relationship that underscores the importance of finding a true partner. Strangers to friends to lovers has never looked better, a one-night-stand that leads to forever? Yes, please. Single dad? Sign me up.

THE EXORCISM starring RUSSELL CROWE; sets theatrical release for JUNE 7, 2024.
Vertical has acquired North American rights to the horror film The Exorcism (aka The Georgetown Project) starring Academy Award®-Winner Russell Crowe (Gladiator, A Beautiful Mind).
From Miramax, producer Kevin Williamson and Outerbanks Entertainment, the film is directed by Joshua John Miller and written by Miller and M.A. Fortin, the creators of the hit series Queen of The South and the writers and producers of The Final Girls. In addition to Crowe, the film stars Ryan Simpkins (Fear Street Trilogy), Sam Worthington (Avatar: The Way of Water), Chloe Bailey (Praise This), Adam Goldberg (The Equalizer) and David Hyde Pierce (Frasier).
The film will have an exclusive theatrical release beginning on June 7, 2024. Shudder, AMC Networks’ premiere streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, has acquired pay 1 rights to the film. The Exorcism follows Anthony Miller (Crowe), a troubled actor who begins to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film. His estranged daughter (Simpkins) wonders if he's slipping back into his past addictions or if there's something more sinister at play.
The Exorcism marks the sophomore outing as director for Joshua John Miller after an extensive career acting, producing, and writing. He began his career as one of the leads in Kathryn Bigelow’s vampire classic Near Dark. Miller brings decades of knowledge of horror films to the table, as well as familial connections in his father, Jason Miller, who portrayed Father Damien Karras in The Exorcist (1973), and his mother, Susan Bernard, who was a Scream Queen.
Filmmakers Miller and Fortin said, “Vertical has been a great partner in helping us complete and realize our vision for this story. Their level of enthusiasm and support are rare to find.”
Vertical Partner Peter Jarowey said, “Joshua has a profound expertise in this genre, and we applaud his creation of a film that reverently nods to classic horror while adding a fresh twist. We want to thank everyone at Miramax for their partnership and are looking forward to bringing the film to theatres nationwide this summer.”
The Exorcism is produced by Miramax, Kevin Williamson, Ben Fast, and Bill Block. Padraic McKinley, Scott Putman, Andrew Golov, and Thom Zadra serve as executive producers. Below-the-line talent includes director of photography Simon Duggan; production designer Michael T. Perry; editor Matthew Woolley; music by Daniel Bensi and Saunder Jurriaans; costume designer Jodi Leesley; and casting directors Mary Vernieu, C.S.A and Lindsay Graham Ahanonu, C.S.A
Jarowey and Senior Vice President of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi negotiated the deal on behalf of Vertical, with CAA Media Finance negotiating the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.

The Holiday: Graham Simpkins [ESFP 2w3]
Functional Order: Se-Fi-Te-Ni
Perceiving Functional Axis:
Extroverted Sensing (Se) / Introverted Intuition (Ni) Graham is an opportunistic dad who uses his time off to get “inordinately pissed” with drink and make random hook ups (“I kiss total strangers all the time…”) in order to escape the pain of being a single dad of two kids and a widower of two years. He wastes no time in falling into…

Set Up - Graham Simpkins
Pairing: Graham Simpkins x Reader
Characters: Graham Simpkins, Iris Simpkins
Warnings: N/A
Request: @xxidontwikeitxx: “Hey you probably wrote it months and months ago but I was wondering if you would be open to writing another Graham Simpkins imagine.”
Word Count: 640
Author: Hannah
Growing up you weren’t exactly the most popular person; you weren’t disliked by any means but the whole making friends thing had never been very easy.
It didn’t help that where you worked wasn’t really your kind of place, so it tended to make you a little unmotivated.
When you moved jobs through and made some new friends things started to look up.
Iris was one of the first people you met at the company, soon enough the two of you were basically best friends.
One evening she’d invited you over for some drinks and a film at her house and it just felt so normal which you adored.
“I finally ran into Jasper earlier, you told her as you took a sip of your drink. “Well I think it was more of he purposefully found me and then pretended to run into me.”
She groaned as she turned to face you. “Did he ask about me?”
“He told me how he knows that you want your space, but he just needs to see you,” you explained as you spoke sarcastically about her former flame.
Shaking her head, she took a sip of her wine. “He just doesn’t want to admit that I’m over him, he’s the one that got engaged to someone else.”
You rubbed her back in sympathy, she’d told you everything about her and Jasper - you had been there for the announcement of the engagement, you’d said goodbye to her when she went to America and you had been happy for her when she’d returned with Miles.
“I want to know when you’ll let me set you up with Graham,” she told you causing you to sigh.
“This is only the fifth time you’ve mentioned it this week,” you commented sarcastically. “If it goes wrong Iris then I lose my friendships and I know he’s got girls, I can’t run that risk.”
Iris rolled her eyes. “My brother runs that risk every time he dates someone, since she died, he’s only brought two girls home to Sophie and Olivia, one didn’t work because of the distance and the other because she wasn’t ready to be a step-mum.”
“And why am I so different?”
“Just trust me?”
And so, you trusted her, meaning that weekend you were going to the local pub and trying to find Iris’ brother.
You’d met him briefly before but never actually had a chance to talk to him properly.
Eventually you spotted him at one of the tables by the windows, he waved you over and you couldn’t help but smile when you saw a drink there waiting for you.
“Hey Y/N,” Graham greeted as you sat down.
Smiling, you took a sip of your drink. “Did Iris tell you my order?” you questioned out of curiosity.
“I knew it already.”
“How?”
He chuckled. “This isn’t the first time I’ve seen you in here.”
“I thought you’d say no to this whole thing.”
Shaking his head, he passed you a food menu. “I wanted to ask you out Y/N, you’re lovely but Iris wanted to do it her way.”
“We’ve only met once,” you told him.
“Technically yes, but I’ve been in this pub quite a few times when you have – never had the balls to come up to you though.”
Laughing you couldn’t help but blush at his words. “And you let your big sister do all the work?”
He shrugged. “It keeps her happy, and she agrees to babysit when she’s happy.”
“Ah so that’s who has Sophie and Olivia tonight, guess we can’t be turning up at her house drunk.”
“You do that too?” he asked sounding surprised.
You giggled but nodded in response. “Only when I don’t have the energy to find my house and hers is closer.”
“Maybe we’re more alike than I thought.”
“Maybe we are."
