UTA: The good news is that there might be someone interesting in taking over the Bang in July, though they would like help. So if that sounds good to you or anyone you know, and you'd like me to reach out to you at that time, please let me know!

Many apologies for being so MIA. Unfortunately, the news I have is sad. I haven't been able to get in touch with my co-mod for quite a while. I'm a bit worried about her, so if anyone can reassure me she's okay, I'd appreciate it. With that said, I really do not have the resources, time, or knowledge to run this bang any longer. Because of that unless someone wants to take over the reins (which I'd love), this is the end of Het Big Bang. If anyone is interested, please message me. I'm happy to remain available for anything you might need or have questions on if so. I do want to thank everyone who has been involved with this Bang, past and present. I've loved this beautiful challenge and its celebration of het couples and am so happy with many of the things I've been able to write and art I've received and the beautiful fic I've read from y'all. Burn Notice really got me to use YouTube again to watch 14 year old edits bc I'm the ONLY burn notice editor on TikTok and my autistic ritual whenever I have a strong cc is to watch edits of them before bed. Last few years that has been TikTok but I feel like a teen again watching edits on YouTube 🤣

Is it obvious or anything that I was totally obsessed with Burn Notice this year?

Started rewatching Burn Notice and realized the Stargate spin off show that I need...

When you're burned you've got nothing.

You're stuck in whatever city they decide to dump you in.

You do whatever work comes your way.

You rely on anyone who's still talking to you: a trigger happy ex,

an old friend who's informing on you to the FBI,

family too, if you're desperate.

(Does this entire idea exist because I need yet another show with Sharon Gless saying "Michael" in her well-practiced disapproving mom tone? Yes, yes it does.)

I just finished reading a great Merlin fix-it fic, an alternative ending to the finale! It’s very Arthur and Merlin centric, naturally, but Gwen, and Gwen and Arthur’s relationship, are at the heart of it too. Arwen is not sidelined for Merthur at all; on the contrary, Arwen and Gwen are given the respect they deserve. I loved Arwen so much, Gwen too! Everyone was so in character, and Arthur was given proper character development. The author also fixed relationships which had been pushed aside for Merthur, such as Gwen and Gwaine’s friendships with Merlin. They resolved the series better than the writers did, and tied up all the loose ends. The ending was amazing and so satisfying, it should’ve been canon.
