I wanted to yap a bit about how i think it's pretty much important seeing it also as a BL and how so many people are misunderstanding the beautiful relationship between Yoshiki and Hikaru but specially 'Hikaru', who he later on falls deeply in love, HEAR ME OUT OK?

In one of the first scenes of this series, we can understand perfectly what's happening to both of the main characters. Hikaru is gone, and Yoshiki has to deal with his loss even tho his friend is still there, but oops 😬 it's not really him. It's some kind of weird monster he has never heard before. It's clear that Yoshiki's mental health is taking a deep dive, NOT ONLY because he saw the corpse of his dead friend and has to live with whatever this identity is, but because apparently, Hikaru had a strong impact in his life, considering the divorce of his parents and the feeling of loneliness he felt for being "diferent" (queer in a small town). It's somehow acceptable that whatever he felt about his dead best friend is insignificant in this situation, 'cause no matter what he did, accepting reality meant losing Hikaru forever, and he decides that it's such a ubereable feeling that he wants, no he NEEDS this Hikaru around.

In conclusion, Yoshiki has to deal with grief, the loneliness of the bigotry, the loss of his childhood and the acceptance of his trauma and issues.

And 'Hikaru' is now free. He could destroy most of the village and the people living on it; but he decides he won't, because he loves, OH he loves Yoshiki. To the point He gives part of himself to this boy just to make sure he's safe. It makes sense the original Hikaru had this feelings burried inside him already but it's also clear to me that this thing, this monster experiences feelings for the first time and he can't help but feel everything in a way more intense level. So Basically, his undying love for Yoshiki is the chain keeping him on the ground when he should be this destruction and murder machine.

Do i believe 'Hikaru' and Yoshiki could be lovers?

Absolutely.

Everything on this manga is ahead of what we see, for example, when Hikaru loses his control all of sudden and turns back to his real form

Have you ever felt something so fiercely you felt like pouring your soul, or screaming off the top of your lungs?

Well, the monster revealing himself is a way to let clear how much 'Hikaru' (or rather just queer people) repress their own feelings to "fit in".

It's very meaningful how 'Hikaru' is so open and expressive (especially in a physical way) about how he feels and who he is, and Yoshiki is more of a "quiet gloomy boy" who has the deep desire of hiding himself for who he is truly (the way he keeps his bangs long is probably a manifestation of hiding away, which really makes sense)

So, yeah, Hikaru dying and coming back is this big allegory of how once you're becoming who you really truly are, and bigotry is all around, people are gonna notice something is wrong and when you come out, suddenly you are a monster.

The "old lady" interacting with both of them and specially saying to Yoshiki to "be careful not to get mixed up with him" as if it was, maybe, some kind of disease is craazy, because out of context it really matches well all of the big metaphor of "being queer in secret at a small traditional village".

Also! I wanted to point the BIGGEST allegory in this whole series.

The "Hand in the hole"

I've even seen people compare it to abuse, which honestly seems to me not only untrue, but, as someone with het comp, kind of offensive?

But yeah, that's definitely a metaphor for gay sex or at least same sex intimacy.

The catch is, Yoshiki does seem uncomfortable because, like the insides of a monster, same sex relationships are "unnatural". It gets really easy figuring out he actually likes the feeling of being one with 'Hikaru' since the second time he does it, he keeps telling himself how wrong it is, how he shouldn't be doing it, and then he forgets it, because he likes it. It feels good; However, once it starts "sticking to him" (obvious alegory for feeling guilty or dirty, like he sinned) He gets scared and runs away.

I feel that, at first Yoshiki mourns Hikaru, he Mourns their old relationship of a comfortable friendship and he doesn't understand why did his best friend had to die and become a monster, something so weird, so unnatural; but later on, they learn to accept themselves for who they are, even if they feel different in their own ways and come to terms of accepting the unconditional love they feel for eachother.

ANYWAYS, I LOVE THEM THEY LOVE EACHOTHER, IT'S UNHEALTHY, IT'S DOOMED BY THE NARRATIVE AND IT'S BEAUTIFUL

Hi!! I binge-read some of your byler analysis, along with other users', and I can't help but STILL feel on the fence about hoping for byler endgame. I guess I just don't want to get my hopes super high only for them to be crushed by whatever CGI fest the düff3rs got in store to "go out with a bang" (while, obvs, sticking to the status quo and what they think the GA wants to see). I've seen so many intelligent people write media criticism pieces and analysis in support of the ship, but I still dread that the writers cry plausible deniability on all the clues they DID lay, that the people behind the N*f1ix social media accs confess that they've willingly posted queerbait to boost their engagement and thus get a bigger paycheck (I wouldn't blame them if they did, obvs; besides, it still means that some higher-up approved those misleading posts) and, worst of all, that this whole thing may end up blowing up negatively like the JohnLock conspiracy or the Voltron shenanigans or, y'know, the Supernatural fandom after Castiel's introduction and up until that lame ass final season. In your opinion, what makes byler different? Is there real hope for a satisfying mlm relationship from a show made by het men that capitalizes on 80s nerd culture nostalgia?

Sorry for coming off so jaded: I do wish for a byler ending, but it's been hard to keep my hopes aflame against these worries :c

i think everyone has some amount of doubt, which is totally understandable.

lgbt representation has come a long way, but a lot of us fans who are a bit older grew up consuming media that either had no representation or shitty representation. we sought ourselves in the media we loved and never found it, and corporations exploited that. nowadays there's way more representation that isn't left up to interpretation or censored, but a lot of the time that's in shows that are about romance and drama, high school a lot of the time. which is great, but stranger things is a sci fi show with romantic sub plots. it's easy for queer characters to end up being left out of a show like ST, but they haven't been at all.

one of the big messages of ST is embracing weirdness and being different. loving whatever it is you love, unashamed. when a character strays from being their true self or pushes away the things they love, there are consequences for the character. they become less likable to the audience. the entire theme of s4 is living in the truth, not hiding things, embracing love, being misunderstood simply because you're different. all of that is very queer coded. and it happens to be the season where will's love for mike fully comes into light.

there has been so much thought put into stranger things. the duffers have said there are no coincidences. they put thought into everything, thats why it takes so long to make a season, because they care so much. there are endless details i could point out not related to romance. they've also said they've been set on the ending for a while and will not be changing it to please people. i believe they said some people might not like the ending, but they don't care because they're making the story THEY want. which so far has uplifted queer people and promoted being different. so some antis may call be stupid for trusting them, but im choosing to. i believe they'll do these characters justice.

and my favorite quote from them is "The best plot twists don't make the audience say "wow I never saw that coming!", it makes you say "I should have seen that coming."

as a writer and a creative writing major, i definitely look up to the writers of ST. they are all incredibly talented and i hope one day i can put this much thought and love into a project. and, as a writer, i cannot see them throwing mike and will's relationship down the drain.

so, what makes byler different? there's very few shows where this much thought is put into everything. its not debatable that they do that, they've said it and its evident if you watch the show. so i refuse to believe all of these things between mike and will are just coincidences or accidents. there's just no possible way. i definitely had a klance phase and i can confidently say voltron writing is nowhere near the level of ST, and neither is supernatural. supernatural is one of those shows that has a lot of seasons and has gone all over the place in terms of writing and plot. the duffers have known the ending to this story since season 1. and unlike those shows with lots of seasons, ST only has 5. it won't be dragged on and beaten like a dead horse like some shows.

you don't have to completely eliminate your doubt. even i have doubt even after all i've said and posted. there is simply no way to confirm what'll happen before s5 releases, and they want it that way. just hold on until s5 friend

what's the fic you've written with the angstiest ending?

Considering I have written character death a few times... I think my angstiest fic is probably my Ted Lasso big bang entry, one more time around, not so much because of the ending but because of the emotional beats. It's an Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind AU with all that entails (memory loss) & there's an open ending that could be read as hopeful!!! but I still think the flashback scenes are #angst

OHHHH. Good question. I'm not a pure fluff person but I like happy endings. Probably my some of my "fix it" stuff, like well I rose, and I rose (Captive Prince, Theomedes lives); and (I think) the kids are in trouble (IT movies)

Not often, I feel like it requires a lot of skill to make work. I've written two short crossovers I really like: The Art of Survival (ASOIAF & The Inheritance Cycle) and my body on the waves (The Old Guard & Pirates of the Caribbean)

Throwback to the time I got twitter cancelled for writing age difference selfcest and someone left me this fuckass essay after they attacked me somewhere more public (cringe) and I said I would respond to concrit if they had it. I will always think with pride about the line "Another positive is to recognize that you are indeed a good writer. That's partly a negative because without that I probably would not have read on. I write lots of emotionally horny smut that often doubles as character study (not only bc I have literary ambitions in my smut just because I think it's hot). I only rate a fic E when the smut is detailed enough that I think "somebody could potentially get off reading this". Otherwise it's M.

I think I'm very good at setting up emotional beats and making character voices feel distinct, both dialogue and POV

what are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

I think it's cool if it's used in a way where it enriches the story. The reader should be able to understand what it means from context, without needing an in-text translation, and if you're using a limited POV the character should be able to understand at least some words in the language <- those are pet peeves of mine

what was the first fandom you wrote for?

First fic I ever wrote was Eragon (Paolini) when I was in middle school to show to my friend. First fic I ever posted was also Eragon on FFN. First fic I posted on AO3 I believe was ASOIAF or maybe the Vampire Diaries.

[2024, adding to this] I think that in a scenario where they weren't dating before the tour started, which is the most likely one, Shuichi's bandmates are also left oblivious to some extent

being with them on the tour bus and backstage, they definitely saw Kokichi use a corny pickup line on Shuichi or drape over him when he's exhausted after a concert, but they easily brush off those things as Kokichi being Kokichi

meanwhile D.I.C.E. knew what hell they were getting into from the moment the opening band was picked, either because he already had a crush or because they know his type

now, you know I love pining as much as the next guy [a lie, I'm pining fan number 1], but if I were to work it into this AU, it'd be by making them know each other prior to this

maybe they were childhood friends; maybe they met somewhere in a small venue before, charmed by a stranger, not even knowing he's a fellow musician; maybe they've heard of each other for years and yearned for this chance

what matters is that they click instantly, it looks innocent to bystanders, but they make eye contact and it communicates I want you clear as a day, instant ramen ass sexual tension

it's just me being indulgent, but what if it starts as Friends with Benefits, or like, very casual dating that they kept on the down low because it was mostly physical, a fascination they expected to quickly get over, but it grew into something emotional instead

they sneak off somewhere they can be alone a lot, at first it's mostly to fool around, but then it's long conversations, take out dinners without their noisy friends, working on songwriting together (I imagine Shuichi is bass + back up vocals in his band, but he writes some of the lyrics, while Kokichi performs sole and writes most of his songs alone)

on the last concert of the tour Shuichi's band could announce that they're about to play a song they haven't released yet, for the first time in front of an audience as a way to end this with a bang, and Shuichi comes up to the front where the lead vocalist usually is and it's a love song with him having the most lines he's ever had, with the message of wishing it would never end

because this was looming over them, thinking they'll have to each go their own way after this, that this casual thing won't last, hiding it so it doesn't cause more of a mess than it has to, but here's Shuichi basically confessing it in front of the public, Kokichi is dying backstage, knowing he has to go out there in a moment and they won't get to talk (or make out) about it until later

they can make some duets in the future, maybe Kokichi can have a feature on a song or two of the band, and that means they obviously have to keep touring together in the future

I also have some notes for an AU where they're in a band together I don't think I shared before: band au where Ouma is the lead singer + guitarist, Saihara is bass, Kaede keys and Rantaro drums, they're all childhood friends and Saihara is also good at singing, but has extreme stage fright that renders him silent, he's been keeping it a secret from his bandmates knowing how pushy Kaede can be, but Ouma finds out and begs Shu to sing with him, in private for now, they're both songwriters (while Akamatsu is the main music writer, with only some assistance from others) so they start writing songs that are meant for duets, lyrics more fit for Shuichi than for Kokichi, but it's all done in secret, late nights working on songs together with nobody else around. And now soak it in an ungodly amount of pining, flirting that surely must be just teasing, love songs that definitely aren't genuine and simply will sell their debut album when they'll get there. Yes, they shall co-write songs about their feelings for each other, practice it for hours and be oblivious until Shu is finally ready to pitch the idea to their bandmates, that's when Kae tells them how it looks like and the DENIAL & BARGAINING begins oh and Akamatsu writes a lot of tunes and usually she hands them to either of them to see if they'll vibe with it and write something to fit so that's how they get away with having secret songs

as for her adult hero name, i still kinda waffle about it but i've Tentatively settled on "xenia"!! it's taken from one of zeus's epithets and has to do with hospitality, kindness, and the protection of strangers (yknow those rules about breaking bread with strangers etc, those are also called xenia). the og meaning had to do with the idea that a stranger could be a god in disguise so you should always honor strangers, but i think cassie would do a sort of converse of that with it, like i've got the power and i'm gonna use it to protect people i don't know, not for the idea of a boon but because it's who i am. still potentially workshopping this, though.

Hi there. I was not a fan during LHH so I found your tags (agreeing with Gina's reply to an anon) interesting. I didn't realize that phase represented a rebellion for him. What else did he do to show his femme side during that period? Thanks!

Hey, love. I don’t have too much energy tonight, so I’m going to try and answer this as concisely as possible, but still give context.

Just to give a bit of personal background, I came into the 1D (not yet Larry, until about 4-5 months afterwards) fandom in 2015, right before Zayn left, so most of my observations are retrospective, vis-a-vis how I’m seeing the GP/hets react to LHH now.

So, at that point, Harry was already in his LHH era, but it had only gotten long enough that the GP were starting to notice it was purposeful and that he clearly was not planning to trim it/cut it back to Prince Hair. Since I was about 80-20 still in the GP, but was starting my 1D obsession, I had no one talk to about the boys except my IRL friends. And I remember distinctly that they were all convinced Harry was gay because of:

- LHH

- the patterned, unbuttoned polos

- his pretty “loud” affinity for YSL

- painting one nail or leaving one nail half painted

And to the lucky few in the know, also because of:

- the rumors that he was begged to wipe off his lipstick before a live taping of GMA, or so a CDAN blind said

As I delved further into fandom, I saw a broad and shallow part of discourse around all these things, but the loudest voices at the time (because I was on Twitter) were hets who were either: i) vehemently insisting he was ABSOLUTELY NOT gay or feminine or ii) being very vocal about how they were no longer attracted to him because of one or all of the reasons above.

Now, I know looking at both Harry and the world at present, none of the things I’ve listed seems remotely “femme” or earth-shattering, but again, this is where context matters.

It was 2015, so discussions regarding gender nonconformity were, in my humble experience, largely still limited to the LGBTQI+ community and had not made it into everyday, mainstream conversation yet. On top of that, Harry’s image was only just inching its way past the hyper teenage heartthrob frat boy phase but was only allowed to veer far enough that his style still “fit” with the rest of the boys and was designed to look more like the groups’ style maturing all together.

No one saw him as a fashion icon yet, because his image had been so carefully curated. So, when he came out wearing that black and white floral suit, standing next to the other boys, the statement read like rebellion, as opposed to him pushing the fashion envelope the way it does now.

Coupled with the fact that he was still, very much, seen as a member of a boyband, the GP didn’t see him growing his hair as any kind of homage or nod to Jagger or Lennon or Slash, because Harry’s image wasn’t at all in the realm of rock; he wasn’t even seen as a proper musician.

So if you put all those things together, you begin to see that growing his hair and painting his nails and dressing the way he did (as conservative as it may seem, compared to him now) was a big, big risk, considering how he was marketed, whom to, and the conversations that image of him was inspiring in those circles.

And that’s why, to me, LHH is one of the loudest, banging-on-the-glass-closetest eras of Harry there is, so it makes it very, very odd to see LHH characterized in Tiktoks as “Dark Harry”/the new “Fratboyrry”/het Harrie fantasy era.

I don't write a lot of het, but for as many people as I've shipped Tony with, Pepper is still one of them. And I just like how the rivals to friends to lovers went in this one. It makes me smile.

2. If the Fates Allow... Or Plums Are the Best Fruit Bucky Barnes & Jack Rollins; Bucky Barnes/Jack Rollins; Rating: Teen+

Another Christmas story and this one is close to my heart because I turned an rp that my friend Nava and I did into a fic. I love how much they can't - or won't - say to each other because of who the other is in their life and it's just so bittersweet. The suppressed emotion hurts my heart and I love it.

3. Time Is on My Side (Yes It Is) Bucky Barnes/Tony Stark Rating: Teen+

One of three Marvel Reverse Big Bang fics I wrote that year, and I think this is my favorite. I really enjoyed researching for this story. It was a lot of fun figuring out all the logistics and getting Bucky and Tony to their happy ending.

4. Ain't That a Kick in the Head Bucky Barnes/Maria Hill; Bucky Barnes & Tony Stark; Rating: Mature

I just love the emotions in the story: of Bucky and Maria coming together, between Bucky and Maria toward Tony as his parental figures, and how Tony feels about them through all their growing pains as a weird impromptu family.

5. Find a Home With You Bucky Barnes & Tony Stark; Bucky Barnes/Steve Rogers Rating: Teen+

Another de-aged Tony fic! I love the parent-child relationship that WS!Bucky has with tiny Tony. I also love Tony's complex relationship with his adult friends before he grows up (again). And of course, I love the way Bucky and Steve finally start getting together.

And she actually asks what is in that box he keeps locked up in his study about which he lost his mind way earlier when it looked like she touched it and she thought it was mementos of his first love. And he is not happy but actually tells her! And it’s not romantic mementos at all (which makes sense, he’s pragmatic as fuck) but mementos of his murdered father. No wonder he lost his mind when the granddaughter of his murderer supposedly touched it.

And I love her reaction - she is honest and says she thought it was first love’s stuff and it bothered her but now she knows what it is she gets why he was so angry and she is sorry and then adds that she was four when her grandfather betrayed the Weis and she can’t do anything about it but she wishes going forward she can take his pain away (and then they bang of course ahahah.) But like - so gradually they started communicated properly!

PS this was way earlier but I was so amused at his elderly strategist going GRRR at having to listen all night to them going at it because his tent is close by and every time he thought they are done and he can finally go to sleep they’d go for another round and he’s all “omg I am too fucking old for this” and just giving up on sleep and sitting there reading books instead.

PPS between this and Wishing You Eternal Happiness/Greetings Big Cousin, which are so different but so amazing, I think I actually found a writer I like even more than Gong Xinwen for het web novels. I am gonna read everything Peng Lai Ke ever wrote.

I'm also a hater and over 10 years later I still really don't understand why a/o/s is so popular. Especially among og St fans? Oh god aos sucks such serious ass. And I'm most shocked when aos fans shit on snw gurl. I absolutely get some of the snw criticism - I agree with some of it from a TOS point of view.

But when it comes from someone who likes aos???? snw is more star trek at its worst than aos could ever be at its best. I won't get you complaining about comp het in snw and then act like aos is not worse 🤢

Aos was made by a guy who fucking HATES star trek and it shows!!! Aos is so antithetical to star trek tos to me. They butchered all the relationships, they butchered the characters! They made Kirk into this fun house mirror version of himself. It's like people who know star trek from big bang theory references wrote these characters. What the hell! What the hell 😭

What's sad is that the cast was pretty cool. GOD the guy who plays bones was amazing. Pine, under a different direction could make an awesome Kirk (I will conveniently not mention Quinto cause uhh. I don't buy him as Spock at all and idk if anything could change it).

I remember i watched star trek when I was about 12 and this movie came out when I was 14 and I was SOOO excited. Oh my god modernised star trek? I remember my face falling after like 5 minutes. At 14 I could tell that this movie is all flash and no essence 😭

Star Trek was camp. Star Trek was sociology and philosophy. Star Trek was moral conundrums and the silliest premises you could ever imagine. Star Trek was overcoming differences to work together, and even loving eachother not in spite them, but by embracing them. It was about respect and loyalty. Where is it? Where is it!?

And the choice of making Kirk and Spock hate eachother in the beginning just goes to show how little the people who made this understand these characters. Oh my gooood when I see people casually praising these movies like they're somehow on par with tos I go crazy

This is kinda a weird question, but isn’t it strange that we all love fan fiction and reading romantic plot lines in them and smut and all of this but our favorite show is Supernatural, which is just this story about platonic love? I think that really drew me to the show, I’ve never seen a show that focused so heavily on platonic love, not romantic, and made that the same focus of the entire show. It’s so lovely to see. Did that draw you into the show too?

Ah, yeah. Fandom and their endless quest to make everyone bang and/or fall in love (which I say lovingly, because so do I). And I don't think it's a weird question at all.

Honestly, I started watching Supernatural for very shallow reasons. It was recommend in the “ridiculously attractive people” category of a streaming site :D The pilot was way too scary for me though and so I quit again. But then a while later, I was watching Leverage on TNT and that ep was followed by Playthings. We left the TV running and I just… got sucked into it. Obviously, I had no idea about the context, only remembered the pilot vaguely, but boy did I fall in love immediately. With them, their relationship, the humor, the love and I went right back to the beginning and forced myself to put on my big girl pants and suffer through the scary eps (yes, yes, I know, they’re not that scary, I’m a wuss) and I was so gone on them, it was ridiculous. So yeah, it was the abscence of romance i guess, because I did fall in love with their relationship. In which Playthings truly is a magnificent gem even among the riches of season two.

I think if Sam and Dean’s relationship were romantic (if they were an unrelated het couple because let’s be real, nothing else would have been on network TV seventeen years ago), I think I would have been almost as enamored. Though I don’t know how to build a relationship like that without their past. It would have needed to be grown up together in some kind of way. I think their relationship would be compelling either way, but it is definitely more compelling for not being romantic. For one I think because romance is the default setting for the all-encompassing, soulmate-type relationships, and also because it’s just so unusual? Like even for one of those fated soulmate romance stories, Sam and Dean are still weirdly intense. They’re just more. Unhealthy, codependent, whatever you want to call it, but it makes for good stories. And I think that’s beautiful.

As for why we make wincest…. Well, the shallow reason is that they’re both beautiful men and it’s fun to imagine them bang. And sometimes you gotta be shallow. But also it just seems…. logical. They want to share everything (they do almost share everything, I mean consider what they know about each other’s sex lives and how they enable each other, like Dean wanting Sam to get laid to cheer him up or Sam wanting to drag Dean to a strip club to cheer him up, like they know sexy times can make you feel better and since they can’t provide that themselves they try to find ways to at least facilitate the happy-making sexy times), they are incredibly intimate anyway, there are many instance where they are jealous of romantic partners/friends and there is an exclusive claim on the other that’s rarely relinquished. Honestly, sex is probably the only facette of an intimate interpersonal relationship that’s not covered due to the whole being related thing, but fandoms love to break taboos and explore all sorts of boundaries in transformative works, and wincest is truly the most low hanging fruit of them all. It’s right there. Dancing out of reach. The show itself plays with it, both as jokes when people mistake them as a gay couple or when Sam and Dean use couple-coded language for each other, like when Dean asks if Sam wants a divorce when they’re fighting. They also made actual wincest shippers canon. Like, I was an innocent brofan of the show when I saw The Monster at the End of the Book, and bam, wincest in my brain, like a lightbulb went off and it took up residence there because it just made so much sense. In more serious themes, other characters comment on how special or twisted their relationship is, both friends and villains alike, they sell their soul for each other (or at least try to in Sam’s case), they do or attempt to do unspeakable things to save each other, they are canon soulmates, they have an extensive repertoire of love language and love acts to show their love for and knowledge of each other, they have a whole you-are-the-most-important-thing-ever thing that goes down in a fucking church, I mean, the show makes it abundantly clear that Sam and Dean are it for each other. And so I think that it’s very natural that people go with the wincest. Even though we have to take the incest hurdle, but hey, fantasy is for the dark, transgressive stuff, right? 

At the same time, it is refreshing that the show doesn’t center romance when almost all other shows do, and I think it’s one of the reasons people do enjoy it. And once you have the magic of Sam and Dean, whether you ship wincest or not, you don’t want them to mess with that so you want the non-romance thing to stay (unless you want a certain ship to go canon of course). In conclusion, wincest just makes sense, on every level really and we just creatively want to explore that in fun ways while keeping what’s great about canon in the show. The true art of shipping, I think.

My thoughts on what we know about Golden so far...

I still had hope that Golden would have some of Jk's song writing even after Bang PD's interview popped up...you know, the one where he is basically saying that without Scooter there would have been no album.

And today, we got the tracklist for Jk's album:

There isn't a single Jk mention in the credits.

I'm mainly dissapointed because it was the chance to see Jk's artistic side and now that chance is gone for a good while.

I'm not one to say that Jk is being controlled by the company because he is a grown man that is capable of making decisions but I do feel that he felt the pressure and jealousy after seeing Jimin win his bb100 and when Bang PD sold the idea of a single that was already created and he needed to sing to make it come to life, he took it along with the perks that Scooter's influence has. They knew the situation was in their favor and I can't see Jk declining.

Bang PD is so desperate to get kpop into the Western market that he is destroying kpop by taking the K out of it and giving leftovers to Jk... which Jk is, unfortunately, accepting. Bang PD's need for Western approval has been chipping away at BTS' essence for years now and with Jk he wasted no time.

It upsets me to know that these songs weren't made for Jk. His golden moments weren't taken into consideration, the color of his voice, the Jkness of it all. But instead he is being treated as a money maker because army keeps supporting garbage songs and because Jk accepts.

This will all be even more ridiculous if the het agenda keeps going strong. We blame the thirsties but can we really blame them when this is the only side Jk is showing? And people will attribute the lyrics to Jk's life because this is what he is singing about in an album that is "inspired by the Golden moments of Jung Kook."

I don't know what happened to the artistic Jk from before and it dissapoints me to know that his dream of being a big pop star all comes down to accepting white men songs. He can be a big pop star...on his own.

He has all the resources to succeed, no obstacles or mistreatment. He doesn't even need payola or Scooter's leftovers.

I guess we will see the full extent of Scooter's influence once we see and hear the lyrics.
