#Government experiments

Note
Do you have information about marijuana experiments done by the government?
In the early 1950s, the focus fell on creating a synthetic form of weaponized cannabis in Dr. Edward Domino’s work with a prototype of cannabis concentrates. This concentrated hash oil was assigned the code EA 1476 but was nicknamed “Red Oil.”
Dr. James Ketchum took Domino’s research and began to spread the Red Oil experiments to G.I. volunteers. Like Domino, Ketchum answered directly to the military and therefore was stationed at Edgewood Arsenal in Maryland, known as the headquarters for the U.S. Army Chemical Corps. When under the influence of Red Oil, soldiers were reduced to smirking, snickering doppelgangers of their once stoic selves, unable to complete basic training tasks or answer simple questions without meandering, non-committal, or vague answers. The effects often stretched for hours. While the military was impressed with Red Oil’s ability to take the fight out of a highly trained soldier, they ultimately needed a weapon that could completely immobilize the enemy. Further research into the properties of cannabis revealed that pure, undiluted THC weighed significantly less than the concentrated Red Oil, a factor that weighed heavily on the potency of a proposed attack. Thus Red Oil was jettisoned and a mixture known only as EA 2233 was born."

The way that I’m brainrotting over a DCxDP crossover with a Danny who’s a vengeful villain rn
Like, let’s just say that the GiW finally get into contact with the JL. They need help neutralizing a threat, you see, and they’re on their last limb trying to keep civilians safe.
They have video evidence! They have studies to back their claims! The JL have to help them!
Unfortunately, the JL believe them. They join a fight against Danny, and defeat him due to being far more experienced than he is. Danny is locked away and experimented on by the GiW.
That would CHANGE a person. Your heroes turning against you and seeing you as a monster, being experimented on for who knows how long, not knowing if your friends and family are safe.
Danny gets out due to a simple mistake on the GiW’s part; having Blüdhaven as part of their transport route.
Of course the trucks were attacked, they’re government property!
So now, whoever decided to raid the government transport trucks (the Penguin or something) has a ton of experimental weapons with no idea how they work, and a heavily traumatized teenager.
Danny knows how they work. Danny can be useful! They won’t throw him out if he’s useful! And so, now Danny is working for the Penguin, altering the ectoplasm weapons to make them work on humans.
It’s a good deal for both parties. Danny gets to neurotically imprint on the Penguin like a small baby animal, and the Penguin gets a brilliant mind who will stop at nothing to achieve his goals.
But eventually, Danny finds out what happened to his family in his absence.
Jazz is in Arkham. Not as a psychologist, but as a “patient.” Apparently, she snapped and completely destroyed the house, leveled a few blocks of Amity Park, and conducted organized attacks on government bases (mostly GiW) for months.
Sam and Tucker helped her, eventually splitting once Jazz was captured. Sam travels to areas of extreme pollution, completely overgrowing them with her plant powers. Currently she’s in the Amazon rainforest, engaging in an ongoing feud with logging companies. Sam is winning.
Tucker faked his death, and Danny has no idea where he is. He only knows that the death wasn’t real because of a code that the three of them made together, just in case.
Ellie’s trapped in the Infinite Realms. Danny had a failsafe in place so that if she was ever cornered by the GiW, she would be sent to her haunt in the GZ. However, with the portal destroyed, she can’t come back. Danny just hopes she’s okay.
His parents are now top GiW scientists. They’re traveling the country giving speeches. They’re working on a battery powered by ectoplasm, but apparently started “having difficulties” around the same time that Danny escaped.
None of it is fair. None of it is right.
The Justice League destroyed his life, the lives of his friends, and they’re doing as good as ever. The GiW is respected, and his parents are happily working away for them.
Danny takes up some of his more experimental weapons and breaks Jazz out of Arkham. She’s a little different now, colder and more quiet, but she still loves him all the same. It’s an unimaginable comfort to him to see his sister again.
He can’t use his powers anymore. He’s so used to associating them with pain that even transforming into his ghost form is enough to take him down for hours.
However, he understands ectoplasm more than anyone else in the world. He knows how to use it in virtually everything; how it can become a weapon, how it can be used as a supplemental ingredient in poisons and nerve agents, how it can twist and distort the mind if applied correctly.
He doesn’t care what happens to him. He’s going to take down the GiW, and destroy the lives of the JL members who helped lock him away, just as they did to him.
No matter the cost.

i think a lot of people don't realize that the this is not a place of honor message was intended to be the first in a series of messages going into increasing detail, culminating in a description of the physics of radiation and exactly how it can hurt you. it's not just like tone-adjusted warnings against tomb robbing. and you gotta admit the rosetta stone with a lot of technical language would, if nothing else, be a very kind gift to future archeologists

I've managed to curate my small misogyny-free space both online and in real life, and now I'm no longer used to misogyny, it's no longer normal to me. So when I accidentally glimpse it, I'm not desensitized to it, I'm always shocked and unbelieving.
If I notice a m*n talking about a woman like she's 'just some ***' I'm immediately aware that this is in fact a demonic creature who needs to be burned. If I see anyone using a slur against women or pretending women are at fault for any of the world's issues, the hair on my neck stands up at the unbelievable amount of hatred.
Anyone implying that women should be in any way controlled, punished, forced to do anything against their will or dedicate their lives to anyone but themselves, is preposterous and villainous to me, I'm at loss that someone could even think that way about a half of the human population who are creators and administrators of life.
I know I am in a bubble, but it feels different knowing deeply in your heart that all of this is not normal, that casual or normalized hatred against women is absolutely insane, that it's sharp and painful and dehumanizing at every turn. It's insane to realize that women just have to live like this, believing all of that is normal, that I once lived like this, wondering what was wrong with me and why I couldn't just be what everyone was expecting me to.
I think still, if I can make a small space without this hate present in it, without anyone or anything implying we should be anything but free, anything but full complete human beings with absolute control over our lives, then we can strengthen and grow these spaces, and get more women in, have more women experience what life is like when hatred is removed. There is hope for women.

learning that a very large group of isreali military, civilians, and politicians are currently rioting against their government against the prospect of making the systematic rape of Palestinians a little less legal is further opening my eyes to the true utter sickness and depravity of the israeli colonial mindset after months of liberals telling me it was "all netanyahu"

Okay, I changed my blog name because I'm tired of the pro-paley squad thinking I'm Israeli (no offence meant, it's just not where I'm from and I have no idea what it's like). I talk about aboriginal issues too [North America]. Where I actually know what it's like to grow up, where I actually live, where I see issues here that need to be addressed. I can be a fully practicing Jew, from maternal lineage, but also be aboriginal, since it takes two people to make a baby, I am also half aboriginal. I am close to both parts of myself.
I am a proud Jew, I am a proud Cree Tribe member.
When people yell at you and you have no idea what to do or say because you have no experience, I needed to differentiate.

Prison gangs grew out of the government’s experiments with new forms of control. Within prison, mass incarceration meant a cracking down on prison organizing, and gangs emerged in the vacuum created by the loss of more political entities. The severe abjection of California's prison system generated illicit organizations that used violence and unsanctioned capitalism to enjoy a measure of power and control. This internecine violence also claimed the lives of several leading prison organizers in California, particularly in the late 1970s but also as recently as 2015, when former San Quentin Six defendant Hugo Pinell was murdered in New Folsom prison. In California, this led politicians to build Pelican Bay supermax prison. Like in Texas, California prison officials governed through racism: they presumed gang status through racial identification and used the pretext of gang policing to structure racist lock-downs and other reprisals. Guards also staged “gladiator fights,” battles by racial/ gang groups, a macabre practice Christian Parenti dubbed the “Balkans in a box.”

Bingqiu is so funny to me like,,, you have sexy man turned into an idea of a tumblr sexyman and uh, some guy that watches instagram reels bc “he could never be a TikTok user”
Asdfghjkl that's exactly what they are. No wonder they're so popular on tumblr XD. Sqq is that one reddit user who swears every week that he's leaving this toxic hole for good and you know you'll find him mere hours later arguing pedantry on some incredibly niche sub reddit.
And he's somehow gay married to a guy who underwent an irl sans verse swap with his evil version. Who is his 'I can fix him' blorbo. His poor little meow meow. Lbh would have an aesthetic tradwife account, you know the ones where there's some scandal about them actually being insanely rich and in some weird marriage? That's him. His recording room that looks like an offshoot of a small cosy traditional cottage is actually a renovated spare room in his palace quarters.
They're that one meme about their braincells cancelling each other out. They're so stupid I love them.
Thanks for the ask :D!

Overprotective Ron and Hermoine
Thinking of Ron and Hermoine being so overprotective over Harry after the war. No one even dares to crowd around Harry, not when the two other part of the golden trio started brandishing their wands around as if they were knives that they could just use to stab someone.
(They could, and they would. No one really dared to know because they've seen the two fight in the war; Harry has morals stopping him from doing things, but the two? They seemed to lost it after watching their Harry trying to fight to live and to save their world.)
Once, someone tried ambusing Harry to talk to him (when others say that he was so protected, it was not a lie). It was someone (coughFudgecough) who wants Harry to support him in his political agenda. Unfortunately, when the emerald-eyed boy denied the man, he started shouting at him and even dared to cast a spell towards his direction.
Very furious about what the man tried to do, both Ron and Hermoine started casting every (legal and borderline illegal) curses and spells that they could think of. A few of the witnesses even swore that they saw Hermoine cast a crucio towards the foolish man, but they aren't really willing to do so in court.
(They believe that the man coughFudgecough deserves it.)
