trying to organize my thoughts on the lack of realistic ecology in warriors, but it keeps turning into rambles. instead here's a post on animals that are referenced in the series, but are mysteriously absent
most insects/inverts (minus ticks, fleas): where are the bees - we know medicine cats use honey, but how are they getting it out of a hive? do riverclan cats get leeches? i want to see kits playing with beetles and snails and stuff.
hedgehogs: wouldn't apprentices have to be warned about pouncing on something that smells like prey, but is covered in thorns? we're missing out on some comedic potential here
wolves: namesake for some clan cats, and mentioned by tribe cats, but never encountered. would make an interesting intelligent predator, but would probably also wipe out the clans.
turtles (and by extension, tortoises): namesake, but never seen as far as im aware. to be fair, probably wouldn't be too interesting to cats, who wouldn't be able to kill/eat them anyway.
deer: there's a dead one in oots. shouldn't thunderclan cats worry more about getting trampled by them? or get to use shed antlers to decorate camp.
otters: theres a scene in dark river where hollypaw is visiting willowpaw and to avoid being caught, rolls in otter dung. otters are great, why do they never show up? they could be of comparable intelligence to cats, and if nothing else would be an annoyance to riverclan as they compete for fish.
#this was going to be a post about portrayal of animals in the series but i kept getting too mad about the raccoons in hawkwings super editio#*edition. i dont care how many times darktail lures them into the gorge with scraps they wouldnt launch attacks on skyclan like that#the erin team should find a writer who actually goes outside once in a while. or at the bare minimum uses wikipedia#sorry i keep imagining a version of this series thats objectively good

warriors contains a lot of jank but not much of it has made me as angry as leafpool's wish
#god* lies and bullies two women into making reproductive choices they dont want. awesome! very cool. Erins i am fucking Hunting you now#the medcats cant take mates thing is so fucking dumb on every level. its fine and cool for leaders to do nepotism but medcats cant have#babies because if you have babies you cant medicine properly. (????????????????????????????????????????????????????????)#although actually the couple of the times in the series where we have to teach a Disorganized group of cats The Power Of Borders comes clos#especially the first nations coded group of cats. i mean i guess they are fucking british they even do catlonialism. the white cat's burden#im going isane. it happens with the tribe and in tigerheart's special and kinda the interactions with gorge skyclan. quite possibly more#like i like these books! theyre very badly written! but the hints of what the erins believe in is at times fucking rancid

Skyclan's Cultural Evolution
^Modern Skyclan's coat of arms
As a result of their extended time away from "The Forest Four", Skyclan is considerably different from the other clans in terms of structure, culture, and faith. The clan founded by Clear Sky at the Dawn of the Clans is VERY different from the clan re-founded by Firestar and Sandstorm at the Gorge, and the two clans are so different that some early Skyclan ancestors consider the modern cats to not even belong to the same clan as they once did and vice versa (Clear Sky is prominent amongst this group of Skyclan ancestors)
Skyclan Before the Skyfall/Ancient Skyclan:
the most militaristic of the clans, with an overwhelming majority of the warriors falling into the Protector role, followed by Hunters. Typically, there were only 1, maaaybe 2 Crafters/Collectors/Clerics at any given time
all apprentices were trained in combat first before specializing into their roles
Skyclan was fairly isolationist and extremely protective of their borders. Not nearly to the extent of the clan under Clear Sky, but they still retained their highly defensive nature from that time
unlikely to allow non-clanborn cats to join their clan unless they prove their merit in combat or show some other skill valuable to the clan. This is largely influenced by their proximity to the town and as a result their rough relationship with the loners and house cats that tend to wander into their territory, something that Skyclan deeply dislikes.
specialized in climbing and tree combat
religious clan on par with Thunderclan and Pre-Brokenstar Shadowclan.
Skyclan in the Gorge (before disbanding):
basically the same just without the religious bit
Skyclan disavowed Starclan after leaving the forest and instead turned to their ancestors alone, who split from Starclan to form the Skypelt or Skypaws, a Skyclan specific hunting grounds in the afterlife
Over time, the Skypaws would become less a copy of Starclan and more an afterlife for all cats committed to the Skyclan cause, regardless of their faith during their lifetime and regardless of their moral "goodness". All cats committed to Skyclan are welcomed into the Skypelt
For example, Yarrowstar, the leader of Thunderclan during the War of the Sky was welcomed into the Skypelt after her death. She was of Skyclan blood and committed to her ancestors and the clan of her grandfather, Cloudstar.
Skyclan After Disbanding-- The Cats of the Gorge:
after the clan disbanded, a small group of former warriors remained in the gorge. Over time, this group, their descendants, and other local cats formed a loose coalition united by common beliefs and kinship ties
this is the group Skywatcher is born into approximately two generations before Firestar's Quest
like the clans, they have two part names, however, these names are given at birth and not 100% consistent with Forest Four clan names. (Examples: Lowbranch, Houndcry, Pricklenose, Skywatcher, Twigtail, etc.)
The parents/primary caretakers of kittens will collectively train the kittens of all cats within the group. They are told stories of their ancestors and taught how to hunt and defend themselves.
When a kitten has survived 2 full seasons, they begin training on the cliffs of the gorge with the adult cats
When a cat has survived 4 full seasons (1 year) they are taken to the Whispering Cave for their coming of age ceremony where they commune with Skypelt for the first time, and for many, the only time until their death.
Rather than track age by moons/months, the Cats of the Gorge track age by seasons. They put special emphasis on the season of winter, since it is the harshest season of the year. They count age by the number of winters a cat has survived. For instance, a 10 year old cat would be referred to as having "10 winters under their paws"
All cats associated with this group live in and around the gorge, however, they do not live together in a central camp. They share prey and hunt together, but more as friends rather than clanmates in any sense. They do not have a collective name and instead just refer to those they associate with as their "clowder by kin"
A few cats within the coalition act as doctors, traveling around the area to heal the sick and wounded. They also lend their services to housecats and unassociated loners or rogues who need help
Adults within this group are referred to as "claws" and queens/caretakers as "tails". These names eventually evolve into the Modern Skyclan rank names.
All cats within the coalition believe in the Skypelt. This is the main unifying factor for them
In general, there really aren't more than 20 cats associated with this group at any given time. When Firestar and Sandstorm arrive, there are approximately 10-15 cats within this group.
Modern Skyclan
draws some aspects from Thunderclan (Firestar and Sandstorm's influence) but in general, Modern Skyclan is just a more structured version of Gorge Cat culture
Cats live together in a central camp, but instead of sleeping in dens by rank, they sleep in dens with their family units
Ranks within Skyclan are different from ranks within the Forest Four:
The Leader is called the Eye
The Deputy is called the Nose
Cleric is split into the Heart/Doctor (healing) and the Soul/Priest (spiritual). (this is very similar to Riverclan, just with different origins)
Mediators are called the Tongue
Protectors and Hunters are grouped into one and called Claws (exactly how canonical warriors work basically)
Gatherers and Crafters are also group into one and called Paws
Queens/Caretakers are called Tails
Apprentices are called Whiskers
Kittens are called Pawpads
Elders are called Ears
The idea here is that all of the roles collectively form a "whole cat", emphasizing the idea that all cats of the clan are valuable and needed to form the whole society regardless of their age or role
At the completion of their warrior ceremony, new warriors travel to the Whispering Cave (or equivalent at the lake-- still working on that) as a coming of age ceremony just like the Cats of the Gorge did. They are accompanied by their mentor and any close kin or friends invited by the new warrior. This is the Skyclan replacement for the vigil performed by the other clans
Modern Skyclan is far more diplomatic than militaristic, in a complete 180 flip from their Pre-Skyfall counterparts (this is the aspect Clear Sky has the hardest time stomaching)
They are well known for taking in the weary, sick, and injured and caring for them until they can get back on their paws. Often times, they extend an invitation to these cats to join the clan.
They are very skilled crafters rivaled only by Shadowclan, however, their styles vary from the Forest Four (to be elaborated on in a future post). Their friendly relations with local housecats and loners has given them much broader access to human materials.
Daylight warriors are a thing, especially at the Gorge where there are numerous housecats. This practice is far less common at the Lake where there just aren't as many housecats around.
They speak a dialect of Clanmew with some small pronunciation and noun differences from Forest Four Clanmew. Grammatically it is nearly identical, but the names of many nouns and pronunciations have drifted away from Forest Four Clanmew and closer to the Gorgemew spoken by local Gorge cats

WARRIOR CODE REDUX: Modern SkyClan
Code 1. Do not hunt on another's territory — Law of the Land
The canonical rule, now made the first because borders were the first thing established in DotC.
The creation of this rule is exactly the same way it was in canon: Clear Sky was being Clear Sky, and invented borders to make life difficult for the cats of the moor.
Originally included not trespassing on another Clan's territory, and excluded other groups, but both were abolished with the inclusion of Daylight Warriors, interactions with outsiders and trading.
Code 2. A true warrior does not need to kill to win their battles — Law of Honor
Another canon rule, now shuffled to be created right after the First Battle. In the Blazing Sky AU, it shook most cats to the core, I mean, they had to make a mass grave they couldn't dig in A DAY. A law was made, the Law of Honor, so that no massacre like the one that happened that day in Fivetrees (canon Fourtrees) would ever happen again.
Code 3. Defend your Clan, even with your life.— Law of Loyalty
The story about Cloudberry and Ryewhisker remains unchanged. However, many cats have willingly gone to the Dark Forest in protest for this law, at least four, including Cloudberry and Ryewhisker themselves.
Code 4. The weak of the Clan are fed first — Prey Priority/Privilege
The story from CotC is removed. This is an extension of the Law of Loyalty. Warriors must provide for their Clan, and the weakest need food. There's nothing deeper than that.
Code 5. Respect prey, Skypelt sent it — Skypelt's Blessing
A minor change: wasting food is sacrilegious, thanking Skypelt for the prey is explicitly a prayer.
This was made for a reason: individual warriors may not understand that, if you hunt too much, you won't have any more prey, but this law exists so they don't overhunt.
SkyClan didn't change the law, only the name, to emphasize that they honor their ancestors, former SkyClan members that followed them into exile. This was done to show how much they value their independence and their different culture from that of the Forest Four.
Code 6. A kitten must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice — Six Moon Rule
Also known as Daisytail's Law, the story remains the same as in canon. Daisytail's son was made an apprentice young because the leader wanted child soldiers, she Didn't Like That, and the rest is history.
Canon!Brokenstar actually loopholes the hell out of this one. It says nothing about early warriors.
(My Brokenstar doesn't do that for Pragmatic Villany Reasons. I find his child soldiers horrifying but ultimately stupid. Small, weak kittens killed in battle don't become grown, powerful warriors, after all.)
Code 7. Deputy Must Mentor/Deputy Becomes Leader/Deputy's Appointed Before Moonhigh — Code of the Deputy
All canon, made into one big law to avoid redundancy. The origin story for these rules is the same: succession crisis in ShadowClan, messy conflict, false sign, and the law is created.
Code 8. Borders must be patrolled and marked — Right of Challenge
Unlike the Forest Four, for SkyClan this is a tradition, not a law. Marking the borders is a sign of independence, one of the things they value the most about themselves.
Code 9. Medics Must Value Medicine And Healing Above All Else — Medic's Vow
The original vow, that was corrupted after Ripplestar's rebellion. However, since SkyClan's position of seer has been divided in two, seer and medic, the term seer was changed for their healer cat term of medic.
Many of the laws that came afterwards are SkyClan exclusive, due to their long separation and different culture.
Code 10. Full Moons are a time of Remembrance, Don't Speak, Don't Sleep Until the Moon has Fallen — Full Moon Vigil
A mix of the old traditions of sitting vigil after receiving a warrior name and the truce of the Gathering. SkyClan does this, both in honor of their ancestors and in memory of Skywatcher, who did this every full moon of his long life.
The only exceptions are young kittens, who don't fully understand the meaning of the tradition and need their sleep.
Code 11. Apprentices Ready to Become a Warriors Must Travel to The Whispering Cave to Contact Skypelt — Warrior's Pilgrim
Another tradition to show SkyClan's piousness and respect for their ancestors. Their own version of traveling to the Moonstone.
Code 12. The Clan Must Be Consulted/Leader Can Be Punished/Casting Stones is Compulsory for Big Decisions— Clan's Rights
A very big law. The first part was one of the first to be added to their warrior code, and the second and third were extended belief (2nd) and tradition (3rd) that were codified and added to this law later on.
Code 13. When in Unclaimed Territory Bother No Cat/When in Another's Territory, Show Respect— Sun's Light
Politeness is very important for SkyClan cats. And, if they demand respect from visitors when in their territory, they must offer the same curtesy. Name comes from towncats' belief in the Sun God.
Code 14. In Order to Become Full-time Members of the Clan, Cats Must Pass A Trial — Moon's Light
Similar to what ASC has done. Named Moon's Light because trials are done during the night, to make the distinction between full-time members and Daylight Warriors.
Code 15. A Warrior Must Help Their Allies in Times of Need — Law of the Gorge
When the gorge floods, or food is scarce, every cat is a friend. If they need help, help them.

SkyClan's Gorge Camp
Set this one up during SkyClan and the Stranger, so I could have Sol in it :) Otherwise pretty straight forward! Leafstar and Sharpclaw in charge, Echosong and Frecklepaw being the Medicine Cats.

i NEED to know more about waspwhisker/waspstar now that xey seem to be leader during TBC/ASC. are xey as levelheaded as leafstar or more aggressive? i think it would be fun if xey were willing to defend skyclans separate culture WAY MORE than leafstar was willing to. that would especially bring conflict with the imposter and maybe could even lead to a battle!
I'm leaning HEAVILY towards doing it. Killing off Leafstar during Squirrelflight's Horror by having Juniperclaw poison their food makes perfect sense. He was trying to make them desperate to leave the territory, so they'd invade the Sisters' camp.
Plus, then I can delete the Meadow Saffron subplot. There was no new plant that suddenly showed up like a big coincidence RIGHT as tensions escalated-- Sparkpelt can just have gotten a bite of the poisoned food somehow.
(Maybe a diplomatic meeting... I'll think about it.)
Anyway, here's an Intro to BB!Waspwhisker, and how xey would act as Waspstar in comparison to BB!Leafstar;
WASPWHISKER
Once the ShadowClan family tree is complete, I will be going back to SkyClan's overhaul and making it more significant.
But in the meanwhile, Waspwhisker is a very close family cat to xeir mate Fallowfern, and kids; Plumwillow, Rabbitleap, and Creekfeather.
(Nettleplash might be gone, unsure.)
I really like Creekfeather for absolutely no reason. I just like his name lmao. SO I'm probably going to put him into The Kin so I can get mileage out of him as a villain
Having Waspwhisker have to fight and maybe even kill xeir own son sounds absolutely JUICY. Push this guy to the BRINK
Show, over and over, how Waspwhisker is willing to put SkyClan above everything xey've ever loved.
When The Kin absorbed a significant portion of SkyClan, Waspwhisker took Leafstar's side. Though xey can be tough, xey're always fair and rational.
The reason to exclude Daylight Warriors makes no sense and is just based on pride, in xeir eyes. The Daylight Warriors are not the ones attacking the camp right now, are they?
There are SkyClan Warriors in the gorge that night, and there are traitors.
And if that includes Creekfeather... then so be it. Creekfeather has made his choice.
You might think that Waspwhisker is a mean person. Xey're not.
In fact, when it comes to friends and family, Wasp's compassion is absolutely limitless.
Plumwillow and Rabbitleap get their love of long discussions from xem, as a Ba Waspwhisker was always encouraging their curiosity.
Xey like to answer questions with more questions, and guide kits and apprentices by leading them to the right answer instead of outright telling them.
The thing that makes Waspwhisker so brutal is that, well... xey just don't see the value in being overly generous. Xey want what xey are owed.
Down to the last scrap of fur, the final droplet of blood.
As a warrior who has gone through so much, loved so thoroughly, and serves a people who have lost everything, shouldn't respect come with that?
SkyClan has been cheated, threatened, and betrayed from the moment they were driven from the forest. Waspwhisker believes in reciprocity like it's a bank account-- xey simply want the positives and the negatives to be in balance.
It feels clear to xem that the moment they stepped paw into the new forest, the Forest Four saw them as pitiable.
They were not equal. SkyClan is a mixed-blood Clan of ex-kittypets and loners.
The politeness that defines SkyClan, helped to keep coalitions of cats together at a distance through forgiveness and cordiality, is a funny joke to Forest Four.
Though times are changing in Clan Culture, strength is currently still a stronger value than diplomacy.
Leafstar was playing by SkyClan rules. They have their own values, traditions, even a copy of the warrior code that diverges earlier.
But Waspwhisker can see-- what at first seems "amusing" about SkyClan to the Forest Four is quickly hardening into contempt.
And that contempt is mutual.
Forest Four cats are proud, self-absorbed, xenophobic, and stubborn. And they don't even realize that.
They're so used to only ever dealing with each other. With their big bluffs, political showboating, and ceremonial fights.
To Waspwhisker, it seems as though Forest Four cats see battle like a game. One you play together, with ancient, unspoken rules that SkyClan has been locked out of for generations.
It's been so long since they've known REAL fear that they've forgotten it. SkyClan hasn't.
Claws aren't toys; battle isn't a game. To SkyClan, their skills are a martial art.
To be respected.
In SkyClan's conversation about what "version" of the Warrior Code they will use, and how they interact with other Clans, Waspwhisker has always felt uneasy about the very premise.
Who interprets the Code, to begin with? Us, or them?
WASPSTAR
If I end up going with this, Leafstar will die of poisoning in Squirrelflight's Horror.
Juniperclaw did it to try and convince SkyClan that the Sisters ARE a threat. He wants them out of ShadowClan territory.
At first, Heartstar is going to refute any accusations of her deputy/nephew doing this poisoning. Nepotism is her consistent weak spot.
Waspwhisker might have died too, but someone tasted poison.
(Maybe I'll have it be the wounded sister they are holding as a prisoner. She can recognize a flower in a spoonful of soup and lurch foward to slap it out of their paw, then dump over the pot. Maybe when Squilf's about to have a bite, so there's a big accusation that the sister only stopped it to try and help the one who's been nice to her)
But in any case, when Waspwhisker finds out that it was a Forest Four warrior who did this...
It really solidifies in xem that xeir uneasiness was right.
Juniperclaw may have acted alone, but his feelings were born out of a deeper spite. One that Leafstar was too optimistic about.
They'll never take SkyClan seriously if something is not done about Juniperclaw. Exile is a JOKE.
The only thing that Forest Four cats seem to respect is brutality.
So xey will GIVE them brutality.
You demand we follow your version of this code?
"We'll start with a true warrior not needing to kill to win his battles, unless it is necessary for self-defense. Understand that I have no reason to believe Juniperclaw would not do it again. This was self-defense."
If the Forest Four can't even be consistent about Commandment 1, then they wouldn't be able to handle how SkyClan interprets the rest.
Xey insist SkyClan matters will be handled by SkyClan. When a law would affect another Clan, then we can discuss it.
Like Bramblestar, Waspstar refuses to be pushed around.
Unlike Bramblestar, they aren't a particularly emotional or biased person. In fact, Waspstar is cold.
That reputation is exactly what xey want, though. Let it precede us. "If they fear us, we live in peace. If they respect us, we live in peace. I offer the choice of which type of harmony we have together."
A good diplomat realizes quickly that Waspstar is not unreasonable, though. Getting xem to do anything is a matter of demonstrating mutual benefit.
Or making a show of goodwill.
Hawkwing is chosen as Waspstar's deputy because of his compassion and commitment.
They're not TOO different as well, and that's a plus to Wasp. Xey want the deputy to see eye-to-eye with xem, but still be bold and emotional enough to launch a challenge if needed.
Xey have thought fondly of Hawkwing ever since Plumwillow's mate went missing, and Hawkwing became a father to Wasp's grandkits.
Unfortunately, I can see Waspstar either respecting the Impostor a lot (for living by the same brutality he demands of other Clans) OR coming to a huge battle against the Impostor (for trying to force SkyClan to live a certain way).
In contrast to BB!Leafstar, who would think Bramblefake is a lunatic from the very beginning.
In a nutshell; If the two leaders heard the phrase, "an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind,"
Leafstar would hum and smile, praising the wisdom of the words. There are many ways to win a battle, and she does not want SkyClan to have to lose its peaceful life after enduring so much hardship. "That which cannot be fixed must be broken, and revenge is not something that can be repaired."
Waspstar would gently shake xeir head. That hope died with her. Either SkyClan will choose the change they make, or it will be taken. Our new neighbors respect only one thing, and if we want our kittens to live in peace, then we must study war, "If the enemy has taken your eye, take both of theirs."
#BB!Waspwhisker#Squirrelflight's Horror#Better Bones Au#BB!Skyclan#Waspstar#BB!Leafstar#BB!AVOS#Xey'd identify pretty strongly with that Applegate quote about Ruthlessness

SkyClan has been so fucking boring ever since they left the gorge and I’m tired of pretending they’re adding anything interesting at all. Not only did they get rid of daylight warriors which was an extremely interesting piece of lore but also feel like bog standard warriors xenophobes now when the majority of their Clan are directly descended from outsiders themselves. How come nobody ever mentions Leafstar is an ex loner and their medicine cats are ex kittypets? When the Clans are all screaming fuck rouges fuck loners fuck kittypets (Especially during TBC) Skyclan agrees with them for some reason and never even acknowledges the goddamn elephant in the room. Ignoring how bland they have become culturally all their characters are fucking boring and I can barely remember who any are. Leafstar, Rootspring, Violetshine, Tree, and Needleclaw are genuinely the only cats out of an entire Clan’s worth who feel they have even a droplet of discernible personality. Maybe Dewspring and Kitescratch. Hawkwing got an entire super edition and he’s still irrelevant as hell nobody wannabe Lionblaze from Temu background character so that is kinda funny. The worst sin of all is killing or writing out the cats with the coolest and silliest names then replacing them with uncreative boring garbage GIVE ME BACK THE FUNNY NAME CATS YOU WILL PAY. Hope Ebonyclaw and Harveymoon are having a grand life now that they don’t have to deal with these bozos anymore.

If I had to rewrite Changing Skies:
Tawnypelt
The Clans are going to fight the humans.
Tigerstar is too busy leading and keeping everyone calm, so he sends Tawnypelt and whatever friends she wants to go on a mission to find out how they can stop the Twolegs.
Tawnypelt doesn't really WANT to, but does it because she wants her son to know she trusts his judgment.
She brings along Crowfeather (let me cook) and Brambleclaw. (LET ME COOK)
First major event is Crowfeather dying. He gets a terrible wound on his back leg from doing something Tawnypelt TOLD HIM NOT TO, and the infection kills him.
Tawny and Bramble are on their own now, and tensions are high. Not only that, but they have NO CLUE what to do, and the Twolegs are getting closer every day...
The only clue they have is with a strange kittypet named Rufus, wearing a strange bulky collar.
Tawnypelt is getting angry, and tired with Brambleclaw. He isn't the brother she thought he was, and their relationship has been fractured since the reveal that he trained in The Dark Forest. Sure, she supported him during TBC, but that ended up not being HIM and it was a terrible mistake to make...
It's his insistence that she listen to him, that he "prove himself", that he is the choice-maker and... Tawny's had enough.
"Brambleclaw, you're older than most cats around the lake, for Starclan's sake, GROW UP ALREADY!"
He leaves, insisting that he knows what is best, and she'll feel so sorry once he's right! No one ever believes in him, just because of his father!
She finds his body the next day. Rufus helps her bury him, but there isn't time to dwell, she needs to keep going. Rufus keeps walking up to humans wearing sleek white pelts that hild little flashing boxes up to Tawnypelt, he keeps saying it's fine but the way he lets them PICK him UP is going to give her a heart attack!
Kids these days. (Affectionate. Bewildered. 3 seconds from signing adoption papers.)
Leafstar
Leafstar is suffering from depression, and notices that her sight is starting to dim.
Fidgetflake tells her that she is developing cataracts, and Leafstar just takes it as "one more thing to happen to me". Her mate has died, her daughter Stormheart was killed in the horrific war against Splashstar and Berrystar that she herself barely made it out of with her last life... Her children have grown and have kits of their own, they don't need her anymore, cats don't want to talk with her...
She's completely lost her spark, and finds no joy in anything. She's not only losing her vision in a physical sense, but she's lost her 'vision' for Skyclan.
She also needs to hold the election for a new deputy, as Skyclan does things differently, and Hawkwing has been killed by a polluted stream.
The candidates are: Violetshine (who now has trained Beetlepaw instead of Reedclaw), Macgyver, and Rileypool (death swapped with Sagenose and mentored Kitescratch).
Violetshine is selected, and immediately some cats are calling for her to be made leader instead. A vote goes through, but not enough cats vote in the theoretical Violetstar's favour. (She doesn't mind!)
Leafstar is distraught when the construction comes Skyclan's way, poisoning their main stream and leading MANY cats to sickness, including her sweet granddaughter Wrenflight, born of Harrybrook and Bellaleaf.
The others Clans have less sympathy. Skyclan is using kittyp-er Daylight Warriors, they'll be fine if they just go back inside their homes. Maybe Starclan's angry that they're taking resources.
She slams her paw down onto the Moonpool's thin frozen surface, it cracks beneath her paw, the cold water spreading its horrible chill, ignored as Leafstar snarls at Starclan.
"Answer my pleas, stop punishing me, or my Clan, or I am taking us back to The Gorge, Other Clans be damned. Help us, or you will prove to me that you truly are a bunch of useless dead cats parading around with sparkling fur and empty promises!"
A ghostly figure appears, just for a moment, whispering to her.
"You may not have sight any longer, and I know all hope seems lost, Leafstar, but brighter times are coming. Do Not Let The Moon Fall."
Moonpaw
Since the writers wanna be awful about Sunbeam, I'm going to one-up them and do this pre-emptively.
Nightheart brought Sunbeam to Riverclan. He wasn't made Leader or Deputy, no, that was given to Icewing and Minnowtail.
Sunbeam, tragically, passed in childbirth soon after she got pregnant by accident... She left Nightheart with a single kitten, a tiny tortoiseshell tabby molly with a white chest, and wide blue and yellow eyes.
Nightheart, still stubborn about names and meaning and holding a grudge against his mother for not providing him with the Orange Gene, names his daughter Moonkit, determined to constantly remind her how she Doesn't Have To Be Like Sunbeam. She has quite a few friends, some in different Clans!
Moonpaw is apprenticed to Flame. An ex-Kin member that joined Riverclan during WCR!AVOS who Nightheart hates with a passion. Guess why.
Moonpaw is a good kid, but her relationship with her father is strained beyond belief. She wishes he would stop... Acting like this. Like he's the only cat to have ever suffered, stop arguing with her sweet mentor over the pettiest thing, stop comparing her to her mother in the most backwards way he can by trying to push her to somehow be the opposite of a cat she's never met...
She is good friends with Frostfeather and Whistlemoon, especially Whistlemoon, for obvious reasons. Moon buddies!
Moonpaw is dared by an older apprentice, Rapidpaw, to "go spend a night at the Moonpool when it's a new moon with all the ghosts!"
She's scared, not of the dark but if her dad finds out. "Sunbeam LOVED breaking rules!" He would always say, "But you can be good and do what YOU want. Just because your mother liked to stand out, doesn't mean you always have to! You can be special in your way!" She always saw Frostfeather glaring when he said that...
"Rule breaker." Frostfeather would scoff. "Didn't know her at all..."
Anyways, aside from a fright from a possum, she makes her way to the Moonpool with ease.
Too much ease.
She walks around, stepping into the pawprints on the ground, and batting a little plant that's growing at the entrance.
Not scary!
She walks into the main chamber, eyes sparkling and growing bigger as she lays eyes on the Moonpool for the first time.
It's the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.
In awe, Moonpaw slowly steps up to it, looking at her own reflection in the sparkling, crystal water, she pokes a paw in.
The gentle ripples lap at the edges, and Moonpaw swears she can hear a soft whispering.
Immediately though, she is bombarded with noise, giggling kittens, cats chatting with one another, and a soft warning.
"Careful, don't fall in!"
Moonpaw looks around for that voice, softer than any others, yet more clear. She stares into the crystal clear, sparkling water of the Moonpool, deeper, deeper, and deeper, drawing her in and making her more calm than she's ever felt...
She falls into the Moonpool.

Foam (Warrior ver.) of Stanley and Stanford Pines
Here is Stanley and Stanford as warrior Cats. And as s bonus I put them next to the other Pine twins. As I made the Stan twins have some features I put on Mabel and Dipper. No the size isn't relevant I just accidentally made the Stan twins smaller.
Stan and Ford are Sliver Speckled Tabbies. With green eyes.
Stan Pines isn't surpost to be cross-eyed he was surpost to be looking at the camera but I messed up so he's a little cross-eyed. He has a collar to represent his gold chain. Due to damage he can't hold up his left ear. His tail is also surpost to be a bit scruffy. You may notice his paws aren't part of his body and that's because as I was finishing cutting out the base. My dog had jumped up and started barking at the door. Causing me to loose construction and cut off one of his paws. So I just cut them all off and made new ones. Since he was going to have white paws anyways. But I don't like how it looks so I won't be doing that again. He has the same white muzzle as Mabel along with the same white chest, belly, tail tip, and paws as her as well.
Ford Pines has black around his eyes to represent his glasses. The blue glitter on his ears are repressions of his deal he made with Bill. It was a way to permanently connect Ford to him. They rap around the ears to represent Bills hold he has on him and to represent how Bill is always telling him to do stuff. He is has a similar white face marking as Dipper. As well as a white cheat, belly, paw and tail tips as well. While not shown he has six toes.
To note in my AU idea I'm still kinda workshopping they were sent to the warrior universe and turned into cats by Bill/ the portal malfunction. So they weren't born into the Warrior universe but rather end up there. I want to set the story I'm working on during the A Vision of Shadows arc in Warriors as that is my favorite arc. But unsure for when during Gravity Falls universe. But have a general idea. In the story I was to focus on the family aspect plus I don't want to juggle way to many characters so Soo and Wendy aren't here. But I may make Warrior Cats version of them for fun. But in the story Dipper and Mabel are taken in by Thunderclan a little after Violetkit and Twigkit get separated. So to prevent the same thing happening to them and because the clan believes they are part of Alderpaw's vision. Bramblestar tells the other leaders that Dipper and Mabel are Daisy's kits. Named Pinepaw and Maplepaw as cover. I debated separating Mabel and Dipper into Riverclan and Windclan. But it would just make everything way to bloated so I'm keeping them in Thunderclan. As for Stan and Ford they are taken in by Skyclan as Leafstar gets a dream from Starclan telling her to take them in. Plus since being kicked from the gorge she needs more warriors. And because Stan and Ford don't know what else to do they go with Skyclan in hopes of finding Mabel and Dipper. This is as far as I got but I'm re-read AVOS currently and and writing an outline. I will drop a link to my first chapter when it's done.

So if the twolegs are filling the Moonpool with cement, what happens if when we get to next book it’s already filled and StarClan can’t be consulted about SkyClan’s leadership change? Will Leafstar have to remain leader until an alternative way to commune with StarClan is found? Will she and Hawkwing have to travel back to the gorge to access the skyrock and whispering cave?
