In 2018, BDS urged Netflix to dump Fauda, a series created by former members of IOF death squads that legitimizes and promotes racist violence and war crimes, to no avail. Please warn others to not give this series any views. BDS has not called for a boycott of Netflix. ]

From River To The Sea Palestine Will Be Free 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸
-----
Edit 1: took the first video down because turns out the animator is a terf and it links to her blog. Really sorry for any distress.
Edit 2: All recommended readings + Haymarket recommendations + essential decolonization texts have been uploaded to my linked gdrive. I will adding more periodically. Please do buy or check them out from the library if possible, but this post was made for and by poor and gatekept Global South bitches like me.
Some have complained about the memes being disrespectful. You're actually legally obligated to make fun of Israeli propaganda and Zionists. I don't make the rules.
Edit 3: "The river to the sea" does not mean the expulsion of Jews from Palestine. Believing that is genocide apologia.
Edit 4: Gazans have specifically asked us to put every effort into pushing for a ceasefire instead of donations. "Raising humanitarian aid" is a grift Western governments are pushing right now to deflect from the fact that they're sending billions to Israel to keep carpet bombing Gazans. As long as the blockades are still in place there will never be enough aid for two million people. (UPDATE: PLEASE DONATE to the Gazan's GoFundMe fundraisers to help them buy food and get out of Rafah into Egypt. E-SIMs, food and medical supplies are also essential. Please donate to the orgs linked in the How You Can Help. Go on the strikes. DO NOT STOP PROTESTING.)
Edit 5: Google drive link for academic books folder has been fixed. Also have added a ton of resources to all the other folders so please check them out.
Edit 6: Added interactive maps, Jadaliya channel, and masterlists of donation links and protest support and of factsheets.
The twitter accounts I reposted as it was given to me and I just now realized it had too many Israeli voices and almost none of the Palestinians I'm following, so it's being edited. (Update: done!) also removed sources like Jewish Voices of Peace and Breaking the Silence that do good work but have come under fair criticism from Palestinians.
Edit 7: Complete reformatting
Edit 8: Complete revamping of the social media section. It now reflects my own following list.
Edit 9: removed some more problematic people from the allies list. Remember that the 2SS is a grift that's used to normalize violence and occupation, kids. Supporting the one-state solution is lowest possible bar for allyship. It's "Free Palestine" not "Free half of Palestine and hope Israel doesn't go right back to killing them".
Edit 10: added The Palestine Directory + Al Jazeera documentary + Addameer. This "100 links per post" thing sucks.
Edit 11: more documentaries and films
Edit 12: reformatted reading list
Edit 13: had to remove @palipunk's masterlist to add another podcast. It's their pinned post and has more resources Palestinian culture and crafts if you want to check it out
Edit 14 6th May '24: I've stopped updating this masterlist so some things, like journalists still left in Gaza and how to support the student protests are missing. I've had to take a step back and am no longer able to track these things down on my own, and I've hit the '100 links per post' limit, but if you can leave suggestions for updates along with links in either the replies or my asks I will try and add them.
Edit 15 10th August: added to Palestinian allies list and reworked the Help for Palestine section. There's been a racist harrassment campaign against the Palestinian Tumblrs that vetted the Gaza fundraisers based off one mistake made by a Gazan who doesn't understand English. If you're an ally, shut that shit down. Even if you donate to a scam GFM, you're only out some coffee money; if everyone stops donating to all the GFMs in fear of scams, those families die.

Great news, Disneywolrd apparently has so much money in their budget they've made these unnecessarily complex "virtual tours" for their hotels that are probably supposed to invoke Google streetview but instead feel like you're navigating a DOOM level. You can look "around" a space using artificial image effects and then move forward with a much much higher "frame rate" than Google maps, meaning the image stutters around you like this.
As you can see there are people in this and some of them are blurred out but some aren't? No matter what the instant you move towards them they fade out like ghosts. In the outdoor portions the sky changes drastically every time you move. Also it's possible to move "thought" solid objects and sometimes even walls into another room. I feel like I'm going to throw up after using this for 2 minutes.

Oh! Fun (not really) HC I've been thinking about for a little bit: the main reason the animatronics attack people when in virus mode isn't just because they're being partially controlled by Vanny/Afton's influence, but because they physically cannot recognize anyone or anything around them.
Their eyesight is (literally) AI-generated.
A bit more of an in-depth explanation below the cut:
So, how I see it, the animatronics don't have actual eyesight (obviously). What they do have is an approximate map of where everything is in the Pizzaplex programmed into their eyes to simulate what it's like walking around the space. Like a virtual housing tour meets Google Maps, only much smoother and more accurate. (The V.A.N.N.Y. layout is also programmed in, and is how Roxanne can see through walls/how the animatronics can still react to things seen "out of barriers").
When the virus kicks in, everything sort of becomes...fuzzy and unrecognizable. Like this image:
There's a part of them that knows they should be able to recognize the places around them, but for some reason, they just can't.
And it's the same for faces. Their facial recognition software cannot identify whoever they're looking at because the person's facial structure is always constantly morphing and shifting (7:15 in the video below for a good example of what I mean):
youtube
Pre-DLC, this could be why previous human employees are being killed/harmed, because at some point or another the virus wipes the robot's ability to recognize who is approaching them, and their system deems them a threat. (I imagine it's particularly bad for Monty.) It also explains why none of them seem to notice or care about Vanny's presence in the 'Plex, because the virus is messing with their ability to see what is and isn't beyond the "barriers" in their system-generated eyesight. (Why can Gregory see her? I have no idea! Don't think about it too hard.)
Post-DLC, it kind of explains why Sun thinks Cassie is a mechanic at first, because his system can only recognize the V.A.N.N.Y. mask, but once she takes it off, Eclipse is only vaguely aware that she is a child who is somewhere she shouldn't be, without being able to seemingly recognize what a horrible state they or the Daycare is actually in (He just needs to clean up, right? And then the kids will be back soon!). It could also be why Roxanne mistook Cassie as Gregory at first.
It's why the animatronics have trouble recognizing their surroundings, getting around the Pizzaplex, or even realizing what sort of state it/they are currently in. They're just stuck in an endless void of constantly shifting colors, moving shapes, and distorted faces.

what do you plan doing as a streamer? chatting, playing games or something else entirely?
ok i doubt im going to fall into the streamer category per se bc i cant imagine myself speaking live for hours i wld get tired also currently my devices wld crash akdkdjfjf also idk i feel like my voice is diff in english than french n i hate hearing my english voice and i wld feel so self conscious streaming in english or making any videos in english but as far as chatting goes i wld hypothetically love to speak to my mutuals n not enough speak french so a french stream wldnt make sense for me. i also dont play any games tho my sister does lol n again device issues im pretty sure if i tried to stream a game my laptop wld crash oops
but ive already messed arnd with creating "planned"? videos which is what i plan to continue doing. i like vlog type content like what im doing today, books im reading, my favourite x things, my language learning journey etc. i also plan to maybe play some Sudoku? akskd idk if there's a 'market' for that but im really just having fun n i have physical Sudoku books as well as a board game so i wldnt hv to necesarily plan online tho maybe i might try bc i think i found a multi player Sudoku online. i'll also likely do craft videos myb tutorials and also i wanna do like a q and a i answer questions while crafting. im also very excited to try to do virtual tours of like museums n maybe just even google maps exploration i think that wld be cool! and i also want to try pixel art i usually do it on excel or physically to create cross stitch patterns or c2c crochet patterns. i may also do some colouring while i q and a as well. but for the time being all of this will likely be pre recorded videos and not live streamed videos.
thanks so much for asking and do you have any recommendations or things u may be interested in seeing?

BAD BUDDY FILMING LOCATIONS 10
This post steps away from the original BBS to look at filming locations for the Bad Buddy episodes of Our Skyy 2 (overlapping with ATOTS as well), that aired in May/June 2023.
I think the fandom was so overjoyed at getting PatPran and the rest of the gang back in Our Skyy 2 that we were willing to overlook any inconsistencies (Pat's Baseball Mom hair included 😂), and this applies to the locations too. 🥰
Anyway, OS2 x BBS x ATOTS didn't use Rangsit University to represent South Technology U, and instead filmed the gang's academia-set scenes in King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL).
KMITL is about 30km east of central Bangkok in Nonthaburi province, not far from Suvarnabhumi Airport:
The auditorium scenes were filmed at the KMITL Main Auditorium:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 6.06 – the Archi and Engine boys watch as PatPran appear to fight in silhouette backstage; (bottom) this photograph dated 24 March 2023 is of the KMITL Main Auditorium, located at the Faculty of Engineering (posted on Facebook at this link here) – the seats, acoustic paneling at the rear wall, white parapet around one exit to the right and what looks like a timber lectern with yellow, pyramid-topped pilasters a few rows down from the control room are all a match
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 7.07 – the Archi and Engine boys rush to separate Pat and Pran after the curtain falls; (bottom) this view of the stage in the KMITL Main Auditorium (from a post at the School of Engineering's Facebook, linked here) is a match, with the yellow-brown brick walls, red-brown steps, black-edged projection screen and stage doors all corroborating details

PatPran's discussion regarding preparation and sponsorship of their respective plays was at KMITL's School of Architecture, Art and Design:
(above) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 13.22 – Pat and Pran discuss their level of preparedness and sponsorship of their faculty plays; (bottom) this photograph dated 10 December 2022 was taken at the KMITL School of Architecture, Art and Design – the timber platform, gravel base and garden furniture (at the top left of the image) are a match (image from the school's Facebook, linked here)
The location of the Archi-Engine charity sweep was outside the ceramic workshop of KMITL's School of Architecture, Art and Design:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 1.49; (middle) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 2.36; (bottom) this image, dating to March 2013 is from Google Maps Street View, and shows the ceramic workshop at the KMITL School of Architecture, Art and Design (map coordinates 13°43'30.8"N 100°46'38.5"E) – corroborating details include the concrete bench and brown vertical bars (behind Mo in the image at the top), the palm tree to the right, the gray corrugated metal roof, and (the biggest tell) the mural made up of clay tiles above the corrugated roof (the image is from 10 years ago though, so some minor details are different)
The location of the Engine boys' drinking party was in the adjacent furniture workshop of KMITL's School of Architecture, Art and Design:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [4/4] 1.07 – Korn, Mo and Chang the morning after their drinking party; (bottom) a view of the furniture workshop at KMITL's School of Architecture, Art and Design (from the Department of Industrial Design's 360° virtual tour website, linked here)
The corridor where Ajahn Pichai told Pran to get permission to use PhuTian's story for the Architecture play was opposite the Design Studio of the School of Architectural and Design Intelligence:
(top) Location of the walkway on the KMITL campus (from the School of Architecture, Art and Design's 360° aerial tour, linked here); (middle) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [2/4] 12.01; (bottom) photo from Google Maps, dated November 2022 and taken by Anusorn P. (linked here) – note the bridge at the right
In Our Skyy 2, Pat/Pran's student apartment moved away from Tinidee Hotel Bangkok Golf Club and was represented instead by the Executive 2-Bedroom Suite (Type 5) at Northgate Ratchayothin Hotel/Serviced Residence (248 Ratchadapisek Road, Ladyao, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900; map coordinates are 13°49'46.7"N 100°33'47.9"E):
The following are some images of Northgate Ratchayothin, with matching images from OS2 x BBS x ATOTS:
(top) An image from the hotel's website, linked here; (middle) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 8.47; (bottom left) entrance door to the unit, extracted from the hotel's website; (bottom right) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [1I4] 10.12 – Ink and Pa drop by with sukiyaki
Northgate Ratchayothin was also the location for Tinn and Gun's tuition safehouse in My School President, although there they used a different 2-bedroom unit (Type 3) – see this link here and write-up here for more info. 😉
The Hightem office, where Pat and Pran go to seek sponsorship for their faculty plays, was also represented by Northgate Ratchayothin (which is why the reception looks more like a hotel lobby than an office one):
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [2/4] 0.41 – PatPran at the Hightem reception; (bottom) the Northgate Ratchayothin reception counter
The Hightem meeting room was also at the same location (naturally):
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [2/4] 4.49 – Pran presents his proposal to the people of Hightem while Pat pesters Korn for the Engineering version; (bottom) an image of the boardroom from Northgate Ratchayothin's website, that can be rented for meetings (and filming)
The bus station where Pran departed for Chiang Mai and left Pat behind is the Sahaphan Roi Et Tour Company bus terminal. (Map coordinates are 13°49'38.5"N 100°33'23.6"E – the official address is 8/36 ซอย วิภาวดี 17 ถนน วิภาวดีรังสิต Lat Yao, Chatuchak, Bangkok 10900, but Google Maps will take you to a different location if you input this address.)
(top) An image of the Sahaphan Roi Et Tour Company bus terminal, extracted from Google Street View ; (bottom left) an image extracted from a photo on Google Maps (linked here), taken by พรรษชนม์ กุตัน and dated August 2016 – note the yellow hexagons behind the glass in the background, visible briefly at Ep.1 [4/4] 2.26 and 2.29; (bottom right) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.1 [4/4] 2.30 – Pat buys a ticket to Chiang Mai
Once the action moved up to Pha Pun Dao, I did remember enough about ATOTS to know that OS2 x BBS x ATOTS re-used the same buildings up in the mountains. Most of these – unlike settings in other BLs – had been purpose-built for the show, and it was cool to see them still standing, looking good three years or so after they were first erected.
With a bit of searching, I can confirm that the Pha Pun Dao village buildings (Tian's house, the Pha Pun Dao school, etc.) are located at The Union of Hill Tribe Villages and Long Neck Karen in Nang Lae, Chiang Rai province. Due to the popularity of ATOTS, the set buildings can be visited as a tourist attraction in their own right, and are marked on Google Maps as such:
(above) The location of Tian's house (and other Pha Pun Dao buildings) on Google Maps, also linked here (the approximate map coordinates are 20°01'18.6"N 99°53'36.4"E)
There are in fact thousands of photographs posted on Google Maps for this location and I haven't been through all of them. The following is a sampling, with some matching scenes from ATOTS and/or Our Skyy 2.
Here's Tian's home in both ATOTS and OS2 x BBS x ATOTS. Three years later it's looking much more lush with planting everywhere, but it's definitely the same house:
(top) A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.4 [4/4] 3.27; (middle) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [1I4] 3.46; (bottom left) this photograph of Tian's house dated January 2023 was taken by Bogdan Ion and linked here; (bottom right) this photograph dated April 2021 was taken by Rachen Tananchai and linked here
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [1I4] 3.19; (bottom) this photograph partially showing Tian's dining area (the bedroom is also behind that window) was posted by mayu minnie in September 2022 on Google Maps (linked here)– the potted Dieffenbachia (dumb cane) is also a match
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [1I4] 12.35; (bottom) this photograph of Tian's kitchen was posted by mayu minnie on Google Maps (linked here) and dates to September 2022
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.4 [1I4] 15.36; (bottom) this photograph dated September 2022 was posted to Google Maps by mayu minnie (linked here) and shows the dining area at the front of Tian's House
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [1I4] 21.36; (bottom) this photograph of the bedroom in Tian's house is dated September 2022 and was posted on Google Maps by mayu minnie (linked here) – the proportions and details (especially the blue mosquito net, but also the posts and the wall panels of bark/fronds/bamboo) are a match
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [2/4] 3.20; (bottom) this photograph of the Pha Pun Dao schoolroom (with part of its back wall missing) is dated February 2023 and was posted on Google Maps by でんいちタイ語塾 (linked here)
The iconic waterfall that PatPran visit is Huai Mae Sai Waterfall, also in Chiang Rai:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [2/4] 7.13; (bottom) this photograph of Huai Mae Sai waterfall is dated January 2021 and was posted on Google Maps by เชียวชาญ ปานข่อยงาม (linked here)
Filming also took place within the Union of Hill Tribe Villages and Long Neck Karen compound:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.2 [2/4] 1.47; (bottom) this photograph of the corresponding location at The Union of Hill Tribe Villages and Long Neck Karen dated June 2019 was posted on Google Maps by Ruben Torres and linked here
This is a Bad Buddy blog so I'm not going into the Ep.4 PhuTian locations in detail; they're easy enough to find because they were mostly at Emquartier Mall and the Buddy Oriental Riverside Hotel.
Emquartier Mall was also where Ice Paris and Pearwah's music video for the boppy theme song รักติดไซเรน to My Ambulance was set. 😍
But here's just one PhuTian location to close things off for good measure:
(top) Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy x A Tale of Thousand Stars Ep.4 [2/4] 10.16; (bottom) image from Drop By Dough Café's Facebook dated 19 March 2023, linked here
[P.S. – here are the links to all the BBS filming location posts:
Part 1 – The legendary rooftop, PatPran’s student apartments, their high school, the white arches behind the Engineering Canteen, the Zero Waste Village and various seaside scenes, their honeymoon suite, the hospital where Pat was treated for his gunshot graze, and the high school reunion.
Part 2 – Pat and Pran’s family homes, the Flagpole Bar, the car park fight location, and the Jae Si Curry House.
Part 3 – Various locations at and around the rugby field, including Pat’s photoshoot with Ink, the rugby bleachers, the iced milk tea (and green tea wave) picnic table, InkPa’s photography picnic, the old bus stop and the new bus stop. Also Khun Noppharnach’s pharmacy.
Part 4 – Pat’s Engineering Faculty (in and around Rangsit University’s College of Engineering).
Part 5 – Pran’s Architecture Faculty (Rangsity University’s School of Architecture).
Part 6 – Various F&B and commercial locations (eateries, shops, malls and a market). Also the setting for Pat, Pran and Wai's fight at the base of PatPran's student apartment building, as well as the scene where Pa says to Ink "Anyone taller than me is fine".
Part 7 – Pat’s post-graduation apartment and Pran’s residence in Singapore.
Part 8 – Various campus locations filmed within Rangsit University’s Digital Multimedia Complex, including the auditorium and the Freshy Day Song Contest.
Part 9 – The LogTech Building and Pran’s architectural office in Singapore.
Part 10 – Locations for the Our Skyy 2 x Bad Buddy special episodes.
Part 11 – The apartment for rent that Pran went to view in Ep.2, the elevator scene with Pat just after the viewing, and Wai’s apartment.
Part 12 – PatPran’s elementary and high schools, as well as the location of Pa’s near-drowning.
Part 13 – Random locations (Pran searching for his lost earphones, the covered car park where Wai spied on Pat serenading Pran with Nanon's Love Score, the airport car park, the SouthTech U Library, PatPran's rainy day ointment interlude, their motorbike and truck rides in Hua Hin, the approach road to Uncle Yod's bar, the filming location for the music videos Just Friend? and Our Song, and Pran's street address in Singapore).
Will update this list if I can track down the hardware stores – the one remaining location still unidentified! 🤣]

Answer the Questions and Tag 5 Fanfic Authors
@cate-deriana Thank you so much for the tag!! tbh i havent written in a long time (writer's block + burnout) but this was funn
1 . How did you get into writing fanfiction?
I just finished reading Lockwood and Co and was surviving solely on fanfictions, but i still missed the characters too much and theyve become so real to me i couldnt survive without them!! And then I had this lovely cosy scene play out in my head and it felt warm and lovely like home, and so I started to write it, on my notes app, and it felt really good. And it wasn't meant to be posted or anything, just for me to experience the world again. Then, regularly I would write short scenes of them and daydream, and it was really fun. By the time exams were approaching I had built a solid idea out of that short snippet I first started with, and when exams ended all I could think about was that idea, I spiralled so much I wrote secretly in school and on the train I would source for inspiration, and at night I'd write with spooky music and get vivid images flash across my head for new ideas. I have dreams about it too. In the end I wrote 37k in 2 weeks, even with school and while I was on holiday, and I thought it would be the end but I had more ideas!
Boy, am I long-winded.
2. How many fandoms have you written in?
1 (Lockwood and Co.)
3. How many years have you been writing fanfiction?
not even a year! I wrote 7 months since last august and stopped
4. Do you read or write more fanfiction?
Read, definitely! I've learnt a lot from reading, and played around with writing styles. Also, I've gotten a better insight of characters this way and inspiration ✨
5. What is one way you’ve improved as a writer?
I actually know that I'm writing when I write 😂 so yes, now I'm less long-winded, more to the point, and writing style changes. I guess in the past I didn't really care for the writing part, I just wanted to experience the world as much as possible through writing which is why my writing is sooo long-winded.
6. What’s the weirdest topic you researched for a writing project?
I've once searched how long a body decays if kept at refrigerated temperature in a damp environment. Oh, but I had this incredibly in depth research of a cathedral, I drew out maps and went on 360 virtual tours to learn about them.
7. What’s your favorite type of comment to receive on your work?
Anything! I love it most when people point out a certain part in what I write and talk about it. I get really excited like yes I love that part too! It makes me more confident about my writing.
8. What’s the most fringe trope/topic you write about?
Crack where the characters are in a tea shop in china, and I used some chinese (with horrible english translations) for a ghost.
9. What is the hardest type of story for you to write?
Angst, anything with a lot of emotions, I am bad at them because I make myself too sad thinking about it 😂
10. What is the easiest type?
Crack, casefics, action, horror!
11. Where do you do your writing? What platform? When?
Notes on my phone when i want something quick, but usually google docs on my phone or ipad. In the same account with all my work. Yes, I am messy.
12. What is something you’ve been too nervous/intimidated to write, but would love to write one day?
Detective x Paranormal investigation AU, AUs playing around with lore. Mainly very long AUs
13. What made you choose your username?
Since I was young my friends said I was Kaeos because my name is Kaelyn and I am chaotic
no pressure tags!: @synestheticwanderings @waiting-for-my-hogwarts-letter @menina89 @dangerously-human @almostlikequake @cats-and-metersticks @nomolosk @itripandfallalot @the-biscuit-agreement

re: my recent announcement of intentions ---
if i made like, a virtual tour of twin peaks (i do mean in a google doc. i am not a wizard) would you like that? i mean, would it be helpful? would it be fun? i was toying with the idea of doing a little history blurb and then some highlights with visuals (so you could have places to reference if you wanted!) (i also have a really cool map that i never pass up a chance to show off!). i realize that by keeping The Narrative so rooted in place i am making your life a little harder if you don't go there already. but i do want to make it Less So

Alright, get comfy my friend, because it's story time. This one's a tale about a thrilling sailing adventure that started on SailingClick.
You see, once upon a summer, our hero – yeah, that's you – got this insatiable itch to set sail and become the undisputed master of the waves. You've got no boat, no crew, and your experience is limited to a bathtub and a rubber ducky, but that's not stopping you.
So, you jump on your computer and, with the heart of a lion, type into the search bar, "SailingClick.com". The homepage opens up, full of promises of open seas and exotic marinas, and your eyes twinkle with anticipation.
First things first: you need a boat. Not just any boat, you need the best deal. You browse the 'Last-Minute Deals' section, and boom! There it is, a svelte sailboat, a real beauty, 'The Azure Wave', based in Greece, with an irresistible discount. It's like she's calling your name, waiting for you to guide her through the Aegean Sea.
Booking it is a breeze, just a few clicks, and bam! You're a temporary boat owner. SailingClick.com even lets you take a virtual tour of the boat before you book it, so you know exactly what you're getting into. The captain's hat is virtually on your head already.
Next, you need a route. You've always dreamt of visiting the Greek islands - Mykonos, Santorini, Rhodes - you want them all. So, you head over to the 'Find Marinas' tab and start plotting. You find marinas with top-notch ratings, free Wi-Fi, and the best views of the Greek sunset. SailingClick.com makes it so easy, it's like a Google Maps for sailors. You plot your trip, make your marina bookings and even find out which ones have the best beachside tavernas. And just like that, your journey is mapped out.
Alright, now you've got your boat, and you've got your route, but you're still sitting in your living room. You need a flight to Greece, and it needs to be cheap. You think it's time for another website, but SailingClick.com has got you covered.
On the top-right corner, you spot the 'Book a Flight' option. You enter your details, and in a jiffy, a list of budget-friendly flights sprawls out in front of you. With a few more clicks, you score a one-way ticket to Athens. There's no looking back now.
Before you know it, you're on a plane, leaving your homeland behind. As you look out the window, the twinkling city lights are replaced by the vast, dark ocean, just waiting for you to conquer it.
From a dream in your living room to sipping ouzo by the docks in Greece, waiting for the dawn when you set sail, it all starts to feel very real. You've got SailingClick.com to thank for turning your bathtub fantasy into a full-blown sailing adventure. Now all you need to do is kick back, let the Greek sun kiss your skin, and embrace the salt in the air. Your adventure awaits, Captain!

Prioritizing Visibility: Why Google Business Profile Comes Before Facebook for SMBs
The digital age has transformed how businesses operate, making a solid online presence essential for small and medium enterprises (SMBs). Here is an argument for why an SMB should focus on building a Google Business Profile before a Facebook business profile:
Visibility and Search Relevance: Google is the most popular search engine worldwide, making a Google Business Profile a powerful tool for enhancing your visibility to potential customers. When people search for a business or service similar to yours on Google Search or Google Maps, your Google Business Profile could make you one of the first options they see. While Facebook is a popular social network, it’s not the first place most people go when looking for a local business or service.
Local SEO: Google Business Profile is crucial for local search engine optimization (SEO). When you set up your profile, you’ll provide details about your business, like the address, hours of operation, and services offered. Google uses this information to match your business with local search queries, which could give you a significant advantage over businesses without a Google Business Profile.
Insights and Analytics: Google provides robust insights and analytics to help you understand your customer behavior, like how customers find your business, what keywords they’re using, and how many call your business directly from the search results. While Facebook also offers analytics, they focus more on social engagement than search behavior.
Reviews and Ratings: Google reviews can significantly influence a consumer’s decision to choose your business over others. A Google Business Profile allows customers to leave reviews and rate your business directly in Google Search and Maps, offering immediate visibility to potential customers. Facebook has a similar feature, but as previously mentioned, consumers are more likely to search for businesses on Google than on Facebook.
Integration with Other Google Services: Your Google Business Profile integrates seamlessly with other Google services, including Google Maps and Google Ads. This integration means you can easily set up advertising campaigns to target local customers, and people can get directions to your storefront directly from your business profile.
Virtual Tour and Images: Google Business Profile allows you to upload images and even a virtual tour of your business, which can give potential customers a better sense of what to expect and could make them more likely to choose your company.
It’s Free: Setting up a Google Business Profile is free, making it a cost-effective way to increase your online presence and reach potential customers.
While a Facebook business profile can be a valuable tool for reaching and engaging with your audience, an SMB just starting out should prioritize creating a Google Business Profile. The visibility, local SEO benefits, integration with Google services, insights and analytics, and potential for customer reviews make it a powerful tool for turning potential customers into actual ones.

I've moved across country (twice if we count me moving out there and then me coming back home. I left for school for a couple years).
I'm not sure what exactly the Knife Anon needs help with (budgeting, finding the right state/place, deciding on the best mode to get across). If they're comfortable they can DM me!
Easiest thing to do is pick when they want to move and then work backwards on a timeline and budget. Definitely research where you're thinking of for average cost of rent, groceries, and generally health stuff can help you figure out how much to budget on average and then save over that. (I'm personally moving [yes, fucking again] and am saving to save 3 months worth of expenses. But I'm planning to stay within state because my job is remote and I can move with it significantly easier in state. If you can't transfer your job I'd say try and save for ~6 months expenses. This is a honestly probably a low ball answer but we gotta surive in the now and in the future somehow)
State taxes are a bitch--it can be something so little, but very sneaky. Moved from one state where state tax was 6% to a state with damn near 10% and had a HEART attack at how expensive it was.
Apartment application fees are GOING to SUCK. I'd personally only apply to a place that you actually WANT to live. Visit virtually if you can with a tour. Google reviews are wonderful. Obviously, seeing the place is person is the best, but we do what we gotta do. Some places may run a credit check once you apply. That credit check may ding your score. I'm not an credit score expert by no means, but apartments may ask for either a payment stub so they can see how much you make. Most places want you to make 3x the rent. If you get a roommate or a guarantor, that can help you land the place. Guarantors get added as someone who becomes responsible for the cost of the rent if you can't pay. My dad was my guarantor when I left for school, and it freaked me out for a second the first time the place told me I'd have to add him because I didn't make enough. (I NEEDED a place like ASAP so my move was very rushed).
Deciding what you /need/ to bring with you and what is more feasible to get once you move is super important. Dollar stores and thrift stores can be a great place to get necessities once you've moved (utensils, detergent, dining ware) until you get fully settled and then you can go balls to the walls in Target.
How you move will also factor into your budget. Flying vs packing up a van, truck, U-Haul (whatever tickles your fancy and doesn't make your wallet choke).
Using google maps and putting in the general area they're interested in plus things like "grocery store" "pharmacy" "dentist" "doctor" etc can show you how far away things are from each other and get you familiar with the place.
There's a lot....in this message and a lot more I could say. But I think right now it might be better to work backwards. When do you want to be gone and then work on location and cost after you decide that.
-H (and to admin: yep, you can yeet this with my @. It's totally a-okay!)
Thank you so much! I’m gonna post this publicly as you’ve given consent but then I’ll make sure to forward it to knife anon privately so they don’t miss it, I don’t want to tag their username here and expose them without their side of the consent to. Thank you so much for the detailed information, you’re wonderful <3
