Achieving Power and Precision with an Ergonomic Golf Swing
Golf is a game of precision, consistency, and power, and achieving the right swing is essential to mastering the sport. One of the most effective ways to enhance your swing technique is by focusing on an ergonomic golf swing. By prioritizing body mechanics and reducing strain, this approach not only improves your performance but also helps prevent injuries, especially for players who experience discomfort or tension during their swing.
What is an Ergonomic Golf Swing?
An ergonomic golf swing is one that focuses on optimizing the natural motion of your body, ensuring a smooth and fluid movement while minimizing unnecessary stress on your muscles and joints. This approach takes into account the biomechanics of your body to create a more efficient swing pattern. The goal is to ensure that your posture, grip, and alignment promote comfort and ease while still generating power and control over the ball.
You need to focus on your body’s natural movements in an ergonomic golf swing, so as to prevent straining your muscles or force a more complicated swing. With an ergonomic golf swing, there are less chances of injury to the back, wrist, and shoulder muscles.
Key Benefits of an Ergonomic Golf Swing
One of the main advantages of an ergonomic golf swing is injury prevention. Traditional swing mechanics can often lead to overuse injuries, particularly in the lower back and wrists, due to excessive rotation or improper posture. By focusing on a more ergonomic approach, golfers can reduce this risk. The swing is designed to work with the body’s natural range of motion, rather than forcing movements that can cause stress and fatigue.
Another benefit of the ergonomic swing is improved consistency. With a more fluid and natural motion, golfers can achieve more predictable results, leading to better ball striking and overall accuracy. When you reduce tension and unnecessary movement, your swing becomes more repeatable, which is essential for consistency in golf.

How to Develop an Ergonomic Golf Swing
To develop an ergonomic golf swing, it’s essential to start with proper posture. Maintaining a neutral spine and avoiding excessive bending or arching can alleviate strain on the back and neck. Focus on a relaxed grip and stance, ensuring your body is aligned properly throughout the swing. The arms should move naturally in sync with your body’s rotation, avoiding any jerky or forced movements.
Conclusion: Why an Ergonomic Golf Swing Matters When you apply the ergonomic golf swingtechnique, there are no chances of you being getting harmed. Ergonomic golf swing technique is a game-changer for golf enthusiasts and by prioritizing proper posture, fluid motion, and efficient body mechanics, you will be able to achieve a desirable consistency, power, and a prolonged injury-free playing lifespan. Irrespective of your playing capability, you can bring out a significant change in the comforting game of golf.

warnings: stalker!rafe but hes so cute and sweet about it hehe, fluffy, brief drinking, slut shaming (not by rafe), protective!rafe
rafe whips out his phone the second it beeps, the familiar chime that has kelce and topper rolling their eyes.
“dude, come on. if it's some dumb mobile game, we won't judge you.” topper says, wanting to know what draws rafe to his phone every so often, interrupting whatever it is they're doing to check it, staring intensely and hiding it away from their view.
“yeah man, i once spent $40 on candy crush, no judgement.” kelce says, and even rafe looks up to give him an incredulous look.
“it's nothing.” rafe hums, shoving his phone back into his pocket.
“well, it's your stroke then man.” topper gestures down at the golf ball at rafes feet.
“yeah, yeah.” rafe nods, mind still elsewhere.
--
“funny seeing you here, y/n.” rafe says with a grin, his arm swinging around your shoulder and tugging you into his side.
“oh my god, how do we keep ending up at the same places?” you laugh, stepping away from your friends that all look at you with a mix of jealousy and confusion, unsure why you can't see that rafe is so obviously into you.
“well, i was craving something sweet.” rafe places a hand on his chest as he looks at you. “and i guess i found it.”
“so whatcha gonna order?” you ask, aware that the line is moving fast.
“chocolate cone, and you?” rafe already knows he's going to insist on paying for whatever it is you want from the ice cream shop.
“um…” you tap your finger against your lips, rafes eyes staying on your mouth as you reply. “sprinkles flurry.”
“just sprinkles?” rafe raises his eyebrows.
“yup.” you nod, popping the p.
“damn, i really have found something sweet.”
--
“shit, shit, shit!” you squeal, looking at the deflated tire that you certainly can't drive on.
you groan as you pull your phone out of your pocket, not sure if you should call a tow truck at this hour of night or just a friend to pick you up.
before you can decide, your phone rings, your heart fluttering with relief when you see it's rafe.
“hey.” you answer quickly.
“hey.” you can hear the smile on rafes face. “just had a feeling i should check on you. everything okay?”
“actually my car just got a flat out on old stoney road. is there any way you can come pick me up?”
you can instantly hear rafe shift and the jingle of keys. “im on my way, stay in your car.”
you do as rafe says, staying on the phone with him until he arrives, allowing him to pull you into a hug.
“ill call a tow in the morning, okay?” rafes hand gently moves up and down your back as he leads you towards his truck.
“mkay.” you say thankfully, climbing into the passenger side. you look at rafe as he rounds the truck and gets into the driver's seat. “how do you always know when i need you?”
“i guess you could say sixth sense.” rafe says with a soft smile.
--
rafe watches the blue dot move on his phone, watching it turn down streets and get closer and closer to his house.
rafe closes the app and shoves his phone in his pocket once he's sure.
he quickly tidies up his room, just in case he manages to get you into his bed.
rafe manages to hurry downstairs and open the door before you even knock, your eyebrows raising in surprise.
“hi rafe!” you say quickly.
“what's up darling?” he questions, leaning casually against the doorframe.
“well-” you clear your throat. “you always check on me, and i figured i should do the same for you.” you shrug.
“oh, how sweet.” rafe steps back so you can walk into tanneyhill, shutting the door behind you and making sure to lock it now that he has precious you inside.
rafes eyes are unashamedly on your ass as you walk further into the house. one day he'll make his move, but he's too into the chase.
--
“so how do you know tina?” you ask, taking a sip of your strawberry margarita. you thought you would hate a blind date, but the man sitting across from you actually isn't too bad so far.
“im friends with her brother.” joshua explains, leaning back in his chair and taking an aggressive gulp of his beer.
“ahh, leroy.” you frown slightly at this. you've never been a fan of tinas family, considering her the only true good one out of the bunch.
you try not to let it affect you for the rest of the date, even though the thought is at the back of your mind during every awkward silence.
“well i had a really good time.” you tell him, heading towards your car, purposely only having one drink along with your food so you could drive yourself home from the restaurant.
“i did too, darling.” the word coming from joshuas mouth makes your nose crinkle up, realizing how you only like it when rafe says it to you.
“ill text you.” you take a step away, but joshua follows.
“don't you wanna keep the good time going?”
“oh, um…” you shake your head no. “it's not that i don't like you, but i don't do that on a first date.”
“really?” joshua hums. “i figured you'd be a slut like tina.”
“excuse-” you can't even finish your sentence before you feel his chest pressing into your back. his scent envelops you and you don't even have to turn around to know who has come to your rescue yet again.
“you can go now.” rafe simply says before placing his hands on your shoulders, guiding you towards his truck.
“shit.” you take a deep breath as you climb into his passenger side. “thank god you're always here to save me.”
“mhm.” rafe starts up his truck, it's not even a discussion on whether or not he's taking you home.
“how do you always know?” you question.
“don't worry about it.” rafe says, reaching over to pat your thigh.
--
“rafe.” you hum out, stepping into the shade and leaving your friends behind to tan on the front of the large boat.
“what's up?” he sits up quickly, having been watching you the entire time, loving your new bikini that shows off even more skin.
“i found this weird app on my phone.” you open up the device and hand it to him. “you're good with this stuff so.” you shrug, explaining why you're coming to him.
last time you had an issue with your screen brightness randomly turning up and down, and rafe fixed it for you.
“hm, just leave it.” rafe says, trying to keep his voice casual despite his nerves skyrocketing.
“are you sure?” you question. “it looks a little suspicious…”
“it's not, babe.” rafe throws your phone down, needing to find something to immediately distract you, knowing how your mind could spiral.
he whips his shirt off so he's in just his swim trunks. “wanna swim?”
--
location services are no longer transmitting. please redownload application. now showing last location.
“shit!” rafe groans. he honestly can't think of a worse notification to wake up to as he rushes out of bed, getting ready as quickly as he possibly can to jump into his truck.
rafe knocks on tinas door. he swears if her brother or joshua opens it he's going to freak out, his heart already pounding thinking about what you could be doing in there.
“rafe?” you question, surprised when he quickly tugs you into a tight hug.
“god, im glad you're alright.” rafe sighs deeply, eyes flickering up to see tina watching the two of you in the doorway.
“what happened?” you question, pulling away to look at rafe, placing your hand on his cheek to bring his eyes back down to you.
“i-” rafe begins to explain himself when tina interrupts.
“i told you that app was sending your location. now we know who was on the other end.”
you take a step back from rafe, your mind slowly putting the pieces together.
“baby, i can explain-” rafe looks like he's ready to drop to his knees and beg, but you instantly know that's not necessary.
“you could have just asked.” you say with a small chuckle as rafe looks at you in confusion.
“you could have just asked.” you say again. “for my location. i would have given it to you without you having to be all sneaky.”
“im so sorry, i never should have done it without your permission.” rafe says as tina quietly slips away, realizing this isn't something she needs to be watching.
“i forgive you for all the times you saved me.”
“so um… we're good?” rafe asks.
“not quite.” rafe is ready to apologize a million times over when you place your hands on his shoulders and push up to your tiptoes to press a kiss to his lips.
it takes rafe a second to realize what is happening, and then his arms are around you, depending the kiss as he holds you tight to your body.
“now we're good.” you giggle as you pull away.

Big scene packaged up, ready to ship!
Alrighty, it's taken a long time and a lot of effort but this flagship scene is ready to go. :D If you want to get caught up on the first time Milo and Octavius meet:
Part I
Part II
Here's the rest!
--
He can’t move. They’re being shot at, and he can’t move. He can’t hide, he can’t run. He can’t do anything but lie here and wait to get murdered, his exposed chest a convenient bullseye.
He doesn’t want to die! This can’t be it for him, tied to a rich man’s bed, bleeding out for absolutely no reason! The knots are tight. He thrashes anyways. That is, until some kind of mercenary crawls into the room, armed with a thin, shiny pistol.
There’s so many things wrong with this. They are a hundred floors up. He looks nothing like Spiderman, and if Milo were hallucinating, somebody who scaled the side of a skyscraper would definitely look like Spiderman. But this just doesn’t happen in real life. It simply doesn’t.
Except it is happening, and the hulking figure in tactical gear bends down and drags a still-alive Octavius up to his knees. He’s clenching his own forearm; blood seeps between his fingers.
“You get one chance to play this right,” says the intruder in a gruff American accent. “Fuck around and I’ll blow your brains out.”
“Hello, I’m Octavius, it’s lovely to meet you-”
The man slams the barrel of the gun into Octavius’s face and yanks him upright once more by the collar of his shirt. Octavius laughs faintly, blood dripping from his nose over the curve of his lip.
“Craine wants to talk,” the man grunts.
“Leo doesn’t need to blow a wall out to talk to me,” Octavius says, his voice thinner now. “Which he very well knows.”
“Not Leo.”
He lowers the gun and exchanges it for a mobile, which he hoists into Octavius’s field of vision.
“Hello, my friend,” says an airy voice on the other end of the line. Milo can only make out a sliver of the screen. “I hope you’ll forgive my somewhat heavy-handed intrusion. Chambers, are the three of us alone?”
That’s when all eyes settle on him, and Milo’s heart stutters to a stop.
“No ma’am,” says the man called Chambers. “This freak’s got some guy tied to his bed.”
“Please, please don’t kill me,” he stammers. “I’m, I’m not even here, I won’t say anything, I’ll never tell anyone, please-”
“Of course he does,” says the voice cooly, and just like that, they both turn back to the phone. Milo drops his head back, closes his eyes, and tries to breathe. “I trust you’ll take care of him after this is over, Octavius, but for now, I need access.”
“Access to what?” Octavius asks evenly. Not I’m not going to kill an innocent bystander or He doesn’t have anything to do with this.
“Come now, don’t be coy. Earlier today I asked very nicely and I was denied. Now I’m no longer asking. I know you keep the SIM card in a vault behind the painting on the far wall. You’ll fetch it now, pop it into this phone, and allow my man here to transfer all its data to mine.”
This is so bad. He doesn’t want to hear another word. If his hands were free he’d plug his ears.
“Will I?” Octavius asks, somehow still totally placid, pleasant, even. “Come now Aster, how would your father feel about me just handing over the keys to the kingdom by way of some thug? No offense to you, of course, fine fellow-”
“My father is dead.”
The room goes silent. Milo can’t help it; he lifts his head to see what’s going on. Chambers is still holding the mobile in front of Octavius, whose seemingly infallible levity falters at whatever he’s being shown.
It’s a terrible moment, a bomb going three, two, one, zero kind of a moment, and Octavius’s expression abruptly reverts.
“Change in management, then,” he states in his incongruously chipper way. “Quite right. You know, I always preferred you, Aster. Privately. You’re a much more of a progressive thinker than Leo. Better fashion sense as well, and you know, Chambers, have you seen her swing a golf club?”
“Shut up.”
“The safe, Octavius,” Aster says. “Before we grow old, if you please.”
Sirens, outside - for a second Milo had forgotten there was anything beyond this room. Oh, but there’d be glass all over the ground, right? People who heard the shot? Somebody had to be coming for them!
None of them say it but the sirens definitely add another layer of urgency to the proceedings; Chambers yanks Octavius to his feet and shoves him across the room, gun trained to the back of his head. Octavius swings a painting off the wall and it obscures them both from Milo’s view. There’s the clicking of a combination lock, a shuffling of boxes, and after a minute or an hour or a lifetime, a satisfied digital chime.
The painting swings back flush against the wall. “Thank you, Octavius,” Aster says with a degree of satisfaction audible even to Milo, “and my apologies once again for interrupting your recreation. I will, of course, be in touch.”
Chambers pockets the phone and Octavius watches him pleasantly. “Well. That’d be your cue, wouldn’t it?”
“Get fucked, fuckin’ pervert.”
“And to yours.”
The mercenary-assassin-nightmare-man swings back out the window via some kind of cord like a stuntman from hell. And now he is alone with Octavius, and no one is coming. He knows too much. He’s not going to get out of this. He's going to die shaking, cold on this luxurious featherbed.
God, Meg, I’m so sorry.
“Good lord,” Octavius breathes, leaning out into the gaping cold night. “How invigorating.”
“Please,” Milo manages. “Please don’t, don’t, don’t kill me.”
Octavius turns on his heels sharply at the sound of his voice.
“Hmm? Oh, goodness, you poor thing! I’m not going to kill you. You’re quite irrelevant.”
“I... am?”
“Entirely.”
He walks over to the bed and begins to untie Milo’s wrists the best he can, injured as he is and trailing blood.
“Now, I am obligated to inform you that after I was shot, absolutely nothing else happened in this room. If you should imply to anyone that it did, I will have to have evidence planted on your person of some horrible crime, get you locked up, ruin your reputation, turn you into a lunatic in the eyes of the public, all that fanfare. But I’d much prefer to avoid that, if it’s all the same to you.”
It's very much not all the same to Milo. He pulls free the second the last knot is loose enough to do so and yanks his jumper back into place. “Yeah, yeah. That’s perfect. I didn’t hear anything or see anything, nothing, nothing happened in here after you got shot.”
“Very good,” Octavius says, and the praise has a much different spin than it did earlier this evening. “Killing people is terribly messy. Outside the organization, as it were. Inside, it’s just how things are done.”
Milo has no time to parse this information before the door flies open and people flood the room, serious looking officers with guns and EMTs and men in plain clothes Milo wouldn’t want to cross on a good day and more. They swarm Octavius and pay Milo absolutely no mind as he sits numbly on the bed. His legs shake and his lungs burn. He pulls his knees to his chest.
“Hey there. You alright?”
He looks up into the eyes of a woman in a turtleneck and jeans with a shiny gold badge around her neck.
“Yeah,” he says, a totally automatic response. “I’m okay.”
His brain is too busy feeling grateful that he’s still breathing, albeit too fast and not nearly deep enough.
“Detective Inspector Shaelynn Cole,” she says. “And you are?”
“Milo McKenzie.”
“Alright," she says patiently. "That’s a good start. You wanna tell me what happened here, Milo McKenzie?”
There’s a running tally in his head of firsts from this evening and he’s about to add another mark: lying to an officer of the law. He gulps down sickness and steadies his voice.
“A gunshot came through the window. Or, the wall. Glass shattered everywhere and he, he went down. I didn’t see where he actually got hit.”
“I see. Why didn’t you dial 999?”
“I don’t have my phone.” That is true. “It’s not allowed in here.”
“You could’ve used his.”
“I...”
He looks to Octavius, who is collapsed in his love seat getting his wound stitched and holding a rag to his bloody nose with his free hand. Milo clears his throat.
“I don’t know. I guess I panicked. I’ve, um. Never seen anybody get shot before.”
“I think you might be leaving something out.”
“What?”
“Up there." The officer motions at the headboard. "Bloody business ties.”
Relief nearly knocks him sideways. “Oh. Right. Well, that’s... it’s just that I-”
“Relax, Milo,” she says easily. “Sinclair isn’t exactly coy about what goes on up here. You were restrained when it happened, weren’t you?”
Oh, yes, fine. If she finds any element of his original recitation suspect, let it be this.
“Yes,” he admits, and he hopes he’s flushing, because it’ll lend credence to his omission. “I was, and he had to untie me before I could help him. It took him a minute, because he was hurt.”
Shaelynn is silent for a moment, and he can just see her gears turning, rolling over his purported sequence of events. Maybe there’s evidence in the room already that proves he’s lying and this is just a test! Can’t some of these people just look at a crime scene and see what happened there, or did that only happen on television?
“Well, I’m sorry this happened to you, Milo,” she says at last. “Sounds like you were in the wrong place at the wrong time.”
A shaky laugh escapes him. “To say the least.”
“Detective,” Octavius calls. “I think he might be in shock, you know. The proper thing would be to get him a blanket.”
He winks at her like they’re old friends.
“I’m not in shock,” he mutters, although realistically, he probably is. As if to demonstrate, he gets up. His legs feel like jelly but they are working, so that’s good.
He can see as he gets closer to Octavius that his absurdly well-defined cheekbone is turning different shades of blue and green as the medic wraps gauze around his forearm, just below the shoulder.
“Told them there was no need for this,” he comments, casting a resigned glance at where the sleeve of his fancy pinstriped shirt had been cut away. “I didn’t get shot in the bloody carotid. They could’ve spared a moment for Alexander McQueen, don’t you think?”
He has no idea how to respond to that. “Does it hurt?”
“This? Barely a knick. Thank you,” he says to the medic. “That’s enough. Off with you.”
The way people flutter about at the wave of his hand is nothing short of incredible. So when he motions for Milo to sit next to him, he does. He just obeys, like they all do when he speaks.
“Are we good?” he asks Milo quietly, turning his full attention on him in a way that's alarming despite the conversational tone.
“Yeah.” He stares at his feet. “Yeah, we’re good.”
“I’m very glad to hear that.”
Milo can’t imagine he cares much either way. He made it sound like he could ruin Milo’s entire life before he had his morning coffee. He’s one of those people whose money and fame and power make them slippery. Dirt slides right off and somebody like Milo, well - of course he didn't need to kill him. Nothing he could say could realistically make a dent in Octavius Sinclair.
He's ready to go home. Baxter is waiting for him. He is going to go home and hug his silly dog and fall asleep in his silly little flat where things make sense.
A tinny voice rings out from inside Octavius’s trousers. Pay me what you owe me don’t act like you forgot, bitch better have my money.
“Well, in that case, Jules will be in touch.”
He claps Milo on the shoulder in some strange gesture of manly camaraderie and rises to his feet.
Milo blinks. “Wait, seriously?”
“Of course,” Octavius replies, typing into his phone instead of answering it. “I was enjoying myself before we were so rudely interrupted. Weren’t you?”
He looks down at Milo like he's genuinely interested in the answer.
“I was.” The air suddenly feels quite thin. “I mean, yeah. Sure. If you want.”
“I want.”
He grins. He’s some sort of crime lord, isn’t he? A mafia boss with his hands in God knows what.
His smile fills Milo’s chest with sunlight.
He must be delirious.
“Octavius Sinclair,” he says, finally deigning to interrupt Rihanna and answer his phone. “Oh, quite alright. There’s absolutely no need for alarm. One moment.”
He covers the speaker with his hand to address Milo. “I really am sorry for all this. I’ll let you come next time to make up for it. But I make no promises whatsoever that I won’t make you beg for it first.”
He says it like he’s offering to pay for lunch, making no effort whatsoever to ensure nobody can hear him, save for the person on the other end of the line. They are far from alone and Milo ignores the way several of the officers’ eyes widen as they turn away.
Octavius departs, chattering on his mobile. “No, not at all. I can make the nine o’clock. Unless of course Quentin wants to spend the first forty minutes bitching about Chinese permits, in which case, I’ll just have you book me a bloody massage. Lord knows I could use one after this nonsense.”
A photographer documenting the destruction shrugs in Milo’s direction.
“Different strokes and all, but I wouldn’t kick that guy out of bed for eating biscuits.”
Milo nods numbly.
No, he reckons. Not for eating biscuits.
What about for being a killer?

I rolled the end credits in Easy Come Easy Golf on Nintendo Switch in June. Very fun arcade golf game, filled with good vibes.
Easy Come Easy Golf is the latest title by the developer Clap Hanz famous for Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf series. Their golf game expertise and pleasant design philosophy shows here too.
There's a twist on the normal golf formula here: you don't play as one character but as a team of 9 characters. Each character is assigned to tee off on one hole of the course and the next character handles the next hole. Your characters gain exp and their stats improve as you use them.

Easy Come Easy Golf was originally a mobile game and unfortunately that shows in the gameplay mechanics that have been simplified a bit. The triple-click shot mechanics are fine and work well but they lack the more intricate real-time mechanics that were used to apply spin in the Everybody's Golf games (here spin is applied on ball before swinging, not during). As a result the gameplay doesn't feel quite as engrossing and satisfying. Also the visual feedback on swings and ball travel has been toned down which takes away some of the excitement of making a successful swing.
Weather, ball lie, surface, etc. affect how the ball travels, just like in their earlier games. There are some differences here it seems and I still have trouble predicting how much wind affects the ball. Reading the green based on the animated grid is quite similar with earlier titles. I still haven't managed a hole-in-one on a regular cup course and I've been playing the game for some time now.
If we continue with the negative points, the music department here is lacking. Gone are the fantastic course specific tunes for example. Most of your golfing is spent in silence, accompanied by some ambient sounds.
The golf courses are well designed with some tricky narrow points, water hazards and bunkers. Carefully weighing the risks is a key to success - will you attempt to cross a lake with a top spin swing to have the ball bounce from the water surface or will you play it safe and take a detour, resulting into extra shots? Progression is a bit grindy as you unlock more courses and playable characters by earning stars from tournaments. You can also unlock alternate costumes and color variations for characters.

Difficulty level is very forgiving. The game's CPU opponents feel significantly easier than the ones in Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf, so don't worry if you're not the best golfer out there.

What this game truly excels in is character design. The whimsical caricature-like designs really hit the spot for me. There's 30 different characters with a lot of variation on body shapes, ages, personality, etc. The characters have their own strenghts and weaknesses - some are great playing in the rain, some may have great power but poor control in their shots. Character animations are unique and quite humorous at times. Rosie Weaver, a calm teenage girl with bad posture is one of my favorite characters, along with the refined lady Madam D. and older grandma-type Bella Donna.

What I especially like in Clap Hanz's games is the way the game encourages you to improve your skills. Challenging yourself and noticing how you're getting better and better is an addictive feeling. Even if you're bad at the game at first, the game gives you positive feedback and gently pushes you to try again. You might lose a tournament but at least you got to see some funny animations when your character is boiling with rage! The cheery, positive mood is a great stress-reliever and infects with a good feeling.
My experience on the game is purely from offline single-player mode. The game also offers some kind of online multiplayer possibilities which require Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Based on the single-player content on offer here, I'd recommend Easy Come Easy Golf to anyone looking for an enjoyable, laid-back golf game. This game offers a lot of good fun but it is a downgrade from Everybody's Golf / Hot Shots Golf in some ways. It took me about 45 hours to roll the end credits. After that there's still tournament ranks to reach and more characters to unlock so you probably won't run out of content too fast. I'm hoping one day Clap Hanz will delight us with a sequel that's been built for Switch from the ground-up, includes more finesse on gameplay and adds music on courses.

Stray Kids' Minho: [Drabble] → moodboard link

Awkward First Meeting!AU with Minho
→ Based on the AU Prompt: "I get really competitive during mini golf and I accidentally hit your head during an intense match.”
A/N: hello hello, I am so sorry for the very long wait. I was very busy last year with my internship and then I was graduating and then I had a shitty job that was working on my last nerves, but things are okay now! I wanna try to get back into writing when I can, so you can anticipate some writing updates soon! thank you for understanding and giving the support we need!
“Your ass is grass and I’m about to fucking mow it.”
Ryujin rolls her eyes. “Just hit it.”
When she invited you out to mini golf, she had forgotten how ridiculously competitive you got. You’d almost forgotten too—until you remember how many bragging rights she had gotten when she beat your ass in bowling. In hindsight, you shouldn’t have allowed the bluffs up.
The joke is on her though because you’re going to win against her in mini golf. You angle your club to hit the ball just right and swing.
…. Except you forgot how much strength you managed to put into the hit.
…. Which is how you managed to hit your bright neon purple ball towards a group of 8 men a couple of holes away and watched in horror as it knocked one of them down.
Ryujin lets out a cackle, tossing her head back, while you freeze like a deer in headlights.
The guys have already mobilized, checking on the guy that you knocked down. Well, some of them—because a couple have settled on laughing as hard as Ryujin is.
“Oh God, Oh God,” you mutter to yourself as you run across towards the group.
They part like the Red Sea as you bulldoze your way through.
And, of course, he just had to be a cute guy.
You take a sharp breath in before asking him, “Are you okay?”
The beautiful man simply blinks at you.
“Oh my God, I killed him.”
“Don’t worry too much,” one says. “He’s always been that stupid.”
“Hey!”
They’re all startled and instinctively flinch away. You’re the one that helps him up, as he massages his head to inspect his head for a bump not-so-discreetly.
“I’m so sorry,” you say. “Are you okay?”
He gives a smile that feels too polite. “It’s okay. I think I’ll live.”
“Oh, well,” you say with your own polite smile. “I’m glad.”
Before you attempt to self-sabotage and embarrass yourself further, you fast walk back over to where Ryujin stands.
Her eyebrow lifts a bit and you can feel the heat creep up your neck.
“Shut up!”
“I didn’t say anything.”

Golf is an exciting outdoor activity, but when the weather turns rainy, it can quickly become uncomfortable. For women golfers, staying dry and stylish while navigating the course during wet weather is crucial. That's where women's golf rain gear comes in. With the right rain gear, you can continue enjoying your game even in heavy rain.
In this guide, we’ll explore everything you need to know about women's golf rain gear, including jackets, pants, and other essentials to keep you dry and perform at your best, regardless of the weather.
The Importance of Waterproof Golf Jackets
When the rain starts pouring, a waterproof jacket is your first line of defence. A good golf rain jacket is designed to keep you dry while offering the flexibility needed for your swing.
Key Features of Golf Rain Jackets:
100% Waterproof: Essential to protect you from the rain without absorbing moisture.
Breathability: Allows moisture from your body to escape while keeping water out.
Sealed Seams: Prevents water from seeping through the stitching.
Stretch Fabric: Ensures comfort and flexibility for your swing.
Adjustable Cuffs: Helps you control how much water gets into your sleeves.
Popular brands like Outdoor Research and Mountain Hardwear offer waterproof jackets that combine these features. The jackets are not only functional but stylish, ensuring you look good even in wet weather.
Rain Pants: Comfort and Protection
Rain pants are another crucial part of your golf rain gear. Wet legs can make it difficult to focus on your game, but the right rain pants will keep you dry and comfortable throughout your round.
Features to Look for in Golf Rain Pants:
Waterproof Fabric: Keeps rain from soaking through.
Adjustable Waistbands and Cuffs: Provides a secure fit and prevents water from entering.
Lightweight and Breathable: Ensures comfort and mobility during your swing.
Sealed Seams: Like jackets, sealed seams in rain pants prevent leaks.
Rain pants are designed to fit well under your golf clothing without restricting movement. Many options are available, from lightweight styles to more insulated pants for those cold, rainy days.

The Right Footwear: Waterproof Golf Shoes
Golf shoes are essential on any course, but in rainy conditions, waterproof golf shoes become even more important. They provide the traction you need while keeping your feet dry.
What Makes Waterproof Golf Shoes Ideal for Rainy Weather:
Waterproof Technology: Keeps your feet dry, even in heavy rain.
Traction: Helps you maintain grip on slippery surfaces.
Comfort and Breathability: Keeps your feet comfortable for the entire round.
Durability: Built to withstand wet weather conditions.
Look for golf shoes that combine waterproofing with breathability, so your feet stay dry yet comfortable throughout your game.
Accessories: Don't Forget the Details
In addition to jackets, pants, and shoes, the right accessories are essential for a wet round of golf. Consider investing in a few key items to keep you fully equipped.
Essential Golf Rain Gear Accessories:
Golf Hats: A waterproof hat helps keep rain out of your eyes while keeping your head dry.
Golf Bags: Waterproof golf bags protect your clubs and accessories from the elements.
Golf Gloves: Water-resistant gloves maintain your grip, even in the rain.
Insulated Jackets: Keep you warm and dry during those chilly, wet rounds.
Tips for Playing Golf in the Rain
Playing in rainy weather can be tricky, but with the right womens golf rain gear, you can still enjoy the game. Here are some tips for dealing with wet weather on the course:
Stay Layered: Layering your clothing helps you adjust to changing temperatures. A breathable layer under your waterproof jacket ensures you stay comfortable.
Keep Your Gear Dry: Use a waterproof bag to store your golf balls, tees, and extra gloves. Consider a rain cover for your golf bag.
Watch the Weather: If heavy rain is expected, consider using waterproof covers for your clubs and equipment.
Adjust Your Swing: Wet conditions can affect how the ball reacts. Adjust your swing and stance to accommodate for these changes.

The Swing You Think You’re Doing vs. The One You’re Actually Doing
You know the feeling.
You run a perfect drill, hear the crack of the bat, or feel that buttery-smooth swing… but when you look back at the footage later? It’s not what you imagined.
This gap between feel and real is where most athletes plateau. And as a coach, it’s your job to bridge that gap.

That’s why tools like a baseball video coach and golf swing analysis apps aren’t just trendy—they’re essential.
But not all video feedback is created equal. The game-changer? Video delay.
A Real Story from the Cage
Coach Miguel runs youth baseball clinics in Texas. Talented kids, tight schedules, high expectations.
Instead of waiting until after practice to go over swing mechanics, he set up a video delay station using a tablet near the batting cage.
The delay was set to 8 seconds—just enough time for a player to swing, step out, and watch their form on the screen. Over and over again.
Something wild happened.
Kids stopped guessing what “head down” meant. They saw their stride. They noticed when their hands dipped. And more importantly—they started correcting themselves without being told.
That, Miguel says, was the moment he truly became a baseball video coach, not just a voice from the dugout.
What Makes This Trend Different?
It’s not about having a camera. Everyone has that.
What’s trendy now—and what coaches across sports are waking up to—is the power of live feedback through video delay.
In golf swing analysis, it’s already catching on. Why? Because golf is all about micro-movements—wrists, hips, shoulder rotation.
With a delay of just 10 seconds, a golfer can take a swing, step back, and evaluate everything—before muscle memory takes over. Baseball? Same deal.
The delay is short enough to connect action to correction—without slowing down practice flow.
If You’re Researching, Ask These Questions:
Whether you coach baseball, golf, or any skill-based sport, here’s what to look for in a delay-based coaching setup:
🟩 How customizable is the delay time? Different sports = different feedback needs.
🟩 Is it mobile-friendly? A baseball video coach should be able to run from a tablet or phone.
🟩 Does it allow for side-by-side comparisons? (especially useful in golf swing analysis
🟩 Can athletes use it independently? Empowering self-coaching is the goal.
The Research Is Clear
Studies show that immediate visual feedback increases learning speed, movement precision, and self-awareness in both baseball and golf.
And when that feedback is delayed just enough to be useful—but not disruptive—you’ve got a teaching moment that sticks.
Final Pitch
Whether you're adjusting a batter’s stance or refining a backswing, the camera doesn't lie—and it doesn’t need to speak. It just needs to show up at the right time.
With tools built around video delay, you’re not just recording performance. You’re revealing truth—the kind that transforms mechanics and mindset.
So next time your athlete swings, ask yourself: Are they guessing what they did… or watching it unfold, 10 seconds later?

Mastering the Greens: Strategies to Elevate Your Golf Game
Improving your golf game starts with mastering the fundamentals. How you grip the club, stance, and posture influence the outcome of your shots. A proper grip provides control and power, while a balanced stance ensures stability throughout your swing. Posture is equally important; standing too upright or slouching can affect the mechanics of your swing. Developing consistency in these fundamentals builds a solid foundation for long-term improvement.
The Importance of the Short Game
Many golfers focus on their drives, but the short game is just as crucial for lowering scores. Putting, chipping, and pitching requires precision and control. A well-executed putt can save strokes, and a strong chipping technique can prevent wasted shots around the green. Practicing these skills regularly helps develop confidence and touch. Reading greens effectively is another key component. Understanding the slope and speed of the greens allows for better decision-making and improved putting accuracy.
Mastering the Full Swing
A smooth and controlled swing is essential for consistency. Rushing the backswing or forcing power can lead to mishits and loss of control. A balanced tempo and proper weight transfer create an efficient and powerful swing. Generating clubhead speed without losing control requires flexibility, strength, and rhythm. Practicing with a focus on smooth transitions between different phases of the swing leads to better ball-striking and improved overall performance.
Course Management and Strategic Play
Understanding how to navigate a course effectively can greatly impact scores. Choosing the right club for each shot and playing to personal strengths leads to smarter decisions. Instead of always reaching for the driver, assessing the layout of each hole and determining the best strategy is key. Avoiding unnecessary risks and playing for position rather than distance can result in lower scores. Recognizing when to be aggressive and when to play conservatively is an important skill that comes with experience and practice.
The Mental Game and Staying Focused
Golf is as much a mental game as it is a physical one. Staying composed under pressure and maintaining focus through an entire round can be challenging. Developing a strong mental approach helps manage stress and avoid frustration. Visualization and positive self-talk can improve performance by reinforcing confidence. Learning to recover from mistakes quickly and not letting one bad shot affect the rest of the round is crucial. Developing a pre-shot routine also helps maintain focus and consistency.
Practicing with Purpose
Practice sessions should be structured and intentional. Simply hitting balls at the range without a clear goal does not lead to significant improvement. Working on specific areas of weakness and incorporating drills designed to refine technique makes practice more effective. Simulating on-course situations during practice helps prepare for real-game scenarios. Quality practice time is more beneficial than simply spending hours swinging without direction.
Physical Fitness and Golf Performance
Physical conditioning plays a significant role in improving a golfer’s game. Flexibility, core strength, and endurance improve swings and overall performance. Stretching before and after rounds prevents injuries and enhances mobility. A strong core improves stability and balance, leading to more consistent swings. Incorporating exercises that enhance flexibility and strength benefits every aspect of the game. Golfers who prioritize fitness often see improvements in power, stamina, and overall control.
The Role of Equipment in Improvement
Using the right equipment tailored to one's personal playing style makes a difference in performance. Club selection should match skill level and swing characteristics. Getting fitted for clubs ensures that they are suited to individual needs. The right golf ball can also influence results, as different types offer varying levels of spin, distance, and feel. Understanding how equipment impacts performance allows for better decision-making when selecting gear.
Learning from Mistakes and Continuous Improvement
Every golfer experiences ups and downs in their game. Analyzing mistakes and learning from them leads to progress. Reviewing past rounds and identifying patterns in performance highlights areas for improvement. Seeking professional instruction or feedback from experienced players provides valuable insights. Being open to adjustments and continually striving to refine techniques keeps the game evolving positively.
Enjoying the Game and Staying Motivated
While improvement is a goal, enjoying getting better is equally important. Golf is a game that requires patience, and progress takes time. Setting realistic goals and celebrating small achievements keeps motivation high. Playing with others who encourage growth and provide healthy competition adds to the enjoyment. The more one embraces the journey of improvement, the more fulfilling the game becomes. Mastering the greens is a continuous process, but with dedication and the right strategies, any golfer can see steady progress.

Mastering the Power of Golf Fitness for Performance, Longevity, and Injury-Free Play
Introduction:
The Missing Key to Golf Mastery Golf is a game that blends strategy, skill, and precision, but for many, the best-kept secret to playing better is not their clubs, swing mechanics, or even mental game. It’s their body.
In modern golf, the body is the most critical piece of equipment. Golf fitness is the cornerstone for unlocking consistent performance, long-lasting endurance, and injury prevention. Even the most technologically advanced clubs and a perfect swing technique can’t make up for the lack of mobility, strength, flexibility, and balance in your body. The truth is: when it comes to golf, how you move and how strong and flexible you are plays a massive role in your success.
This comprehensive guide will walk you through why golf fitness is crucial, how it influences your swing, and what you can do to transform your body for better performance, reduced injury risk, and longer playability on the course. From the science of biomechanics to nutrition, we’ll cover all aspects that make golf fitness a game-changer.
By the end of this blog, you'll understand how to build a golf body that supports power, endurance, injury prevention, and longevity. It's time to stop searching for the perfect club and focus on the perfect version of you.
Why Golf Fitness is the Missing Link
The Evolution of Golf and Fitness

SHIFT TRAINING offers the most comprehensive functional training available in Arizona, Our unique ability to integrate tour driven fitness coaching with bio-mechanics & physical therapy techniques are why we ensure optimal improvement of the total golf body.
Golf, like many other sports, has evolved significantly over the years. Once regarded as a leisurely pastime, golf is now a physically demanding sport. In the past, players relied almost entirely on skill and technique. However, today’s best golfers know that physical fitness is as important as mental focus and technical prowess.
Elite players like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Brooks Koepka have all embraced golf fitness and strength conditioning as an integral part of their training regimen. The key to unlocking a better golf game is not just mastering your swing—it’s mastering your body.
Why Fitness Matters More Than Ever
The golf swing is a highly dynamic movement involving multiple body parts that work in harmony. It requires strength, mobility, stability, and flexibility. As the swing is executed, forces are generated through rotation, momentum, and balance—traits that are directly influenced by your physical fitness. In fact, golf fitness can impact:
Clubhead Speed – More muscle power translates to faster swings and longer drives.
Accuracy – Better stability and strength help eliminate swing faults and improve control.
Endurance – A well-conditioned body ensures that you don’t lose your energy or mental focus, even after 18 holes.
Injury Prevention – Flexibility and strength help prevent common golf-related injuries like lower back pain, shoulder strains, and golfer’s elbow.
Without a strong and agile body, no amount of expensive clubs or advanced technology will help you elevate your game. Fitness is the missing link that can make the difference between a good round and a great round.
The Biomechanics of a Powerful Golf Swing
Understanding the Swing
A golf swing isn’t just a series of isolated movements. It’s a chain reaction that starts from the ground up, with each body part contributing to the smooth flow of the motion. To optimize the swing, we must understand the key phases of movement:
Setup & Posture:
Posture is the foundation of a great swing. A proper stance, with slight knee flexion and a neutral spine, allows for optimal weight distribution and rotational power.
Core Strength: The core is essential for holding posture and controlling movement. Without a stable core, you won’t be able to effectively rotate your torso, leading to an inefficient swing.
Backswing:
The backswing is where rotation and mobility come into play. The ability to rotate your hips, spine, and shoulders effectively is crucial for generating power in the downswing.
Hip Mobility: If your hips are too stiff, your ability to rotate effectively is restricted, leading to a loss of power and control.
Transition:
As you move from backswing to downswing, the transition needs to be fluid and controlled. This phase requires strong sequencing, with the lower body initiating the downswing, followed by the torso and arms.
Lower Body Strength: Power generation comes from the ground up. Strong legs and hips are essential for transferring energy from the ground to the club.
Downswing & Impact:
This is the explosive phase of the swing. Speed, power, and precision are key, and they come from the ability to generate force through your legs and core.
Core & Leg Power: The combination of a strong core and powerful lower body is what creates the torque needed for an explosive downswing.
Follow-Through:
A smooth follow-through indicates a well-executed swing. Flexibility and stability are crucial here, as the body must decelerate without losing control.
Flexibility: The ability to decelerate smoothly without jerking is dependent on the flexibility in your shoulders, spine, and hips.
The Pillars of Golf Fitness
1. Mobility – The Key to Fluid Movement
Mobility refers to the range of motion in the joints. Golfers need flexibility and freedom in their joints, especially in the hips, shoulders, and spine, to execute a powerful and efficient swing.
Without sufficient mobility, your swing will lack fluidity and speed, and you'll be at risk for injuries due to improper mechanics. The following areas are critical for golfers:
Hip Mobility: Vital for rotation and maintaining balance throughout the swing.
Thoracic Spine Mobility: Crucial for smooth shoulder rotation and maintaining posture during the swing.
Shoulder Mobility: Necessary for maintaining control and posture through the backswing and follow-through.
2. Stability – Controlling Movement
While mobility allows you to move, stability ensures that your body remains controlled throughout the golf swing. Stability involves maintaining balance and controlling the body’s movement, particularly the core and lower body.
Golfers need to develop core and lower body stability to:
Maintain posture throughout the swing
Prevent excessive body sway or unnecessary movements
Transfer power efficiently from the lower body to the upper body
3. Strength & Power – Generating Speed
Strength is vital for golfers to generate explosive power in their swings. Unlike other sports, golfers do not need excessive bulk but rather functional strength. Focus on exercises that build strength in the legs, core, and upper body to increase your swing speed and endurance.
Key strength exercises for golfers include:
Deadlifts: Strengthen the legs and lower back for better posture and stability.
Medicine Ball Rotational Throws: Mimic the rotational movement of a golf swing, enhancing power and explosiveness.
Single-Leg Squats: Build balance and leg strength, essential for maintaining stability during the swing.
This comprehensive evaluation of your physical and athletic abilities will also allow us to determine your specific needs and assess the need for specialized training programs for both injury prevention and recovery.
We assess your quality of movement, range of motion and overall initial core abilities to determine your areas of strength and weakness. These tests show us how well you move and which segmented areas you favor. Our goal is to create left and right-side awareness with equal strength and balance.
Injury Prevention & Longevity
Common Golf Injuries and How to Prevent Them
Golfers face unique injury risks due to the repetitive nature of the sport and the torque placed on the body during the swing. Some common injuries include:
Lower Back Pain: Often caused by poor posture, lack of flexibility, or overuse.
Shoulder Impingements:
Caused by poor shoulder mobility or overuse.
Elbow Tendonitis (Golfer’s Elbow): Overuse of the tendons in the elbow from repetitive swinging motions.
Knee Pain:
Usually related to a lack of stability or excessive torque placed on the knees during the swing.
To prevent these injuries, it's crucial to focus on mobility, stability, and strength. A well-rounded fitness program, including stretching, strengthening, and functional exercises, can help reduce the risk of injury.
Nutrition for Optimal Golf Performance
Many golfers do not realize the important role that nutrition plays in performance. Poor nutrition leads to a decline of energy, mental focus, muscle activation, power, stamina/endurance and health. Poor nutrition also leads to increase in inflammation, weight gain in gut, frustration/mood swings, fatigue, strokes/misses/inconsistency, cravings, recovery time, disease, and joint degradation.
Fueling Your Body for Success
Nutrition plays a crucial role in supporting your golf game. Poor eating habits can lead to energy crashes, mental fog, and even muscle fatigue, all of which can impair your performance.
A balanced diet can:
Boost energy levels for sustained focus and endurance throughout your round.
Reduce inflammation and aid recovery.
Support muscle function and help you maintain strength and power.
The Golf Performance Diet:
Pre-Round Nutrition: Focus on a meal rich in healthy carbs and protein to fuel your body (e.g., oatmeal with nuts and fruit).
On-Course Nutrition:
Keep snacks simple and easy to digest, like bananas, nuts, and energy bars, along with plenty of water to stay hydrated.
Post-Round Recovery: After a round, focus on replenishing your muscles with protein and healthy fats (e.g., grilled chicken with avocado or a smoothie).
