What native Gallifreyan species are there?
Gallifrey has a diverse range of fauna, both native and introduced. Despite claims of minimal ecological impact, the installation of the Eye of Harmony and millions of years of Time Lord civilisation have significantly altered Gallifrey's original biosphere.
🦋 Invertebrates
Beatitude Flies: Begin as maggots and pupate into golden-winged nocturnal insects. They use nectar to create helium in their bellies and are attracted to light and decay.
Butterflies: Various species flutter across Gallifrey.
Bees: Essential for pollination.
Gullet Grubs: Likely to live in digestive tracts of larger mammals, or similar environments.
Blossom Thieves: Possibly insects that steal nectar or pollen.
Scrubblers: Likely small, cleaning insects.
Neversuch Beetles, Sandbeetles, Waspbeetles: Various beetles.
Dustworms: Likely live in dry, dusty environments.
Scissors Bugs: Possibly predatory insects with sharp mandibles.
Flutterwings: Gigantic insects (3 meters by 25 meters) that never land. Five races include Wild Endeavor, Mandrigal, Silver-Band, Blue Crystal, and Perdition.
Snails
Water-Sligs: Likely aquatic or semi-aquatic molluscs.
Web-Spinning Insects: Including spiders about an inch long.
Other dangerous invertebrates: There are also nasty creatures that live beneath big stones.
🐟 Marine Life
Singing Yaddlefish: Notable for their song, and they can be eaten.
Kittensharks: Hatch from eggs and presumably grow into Catsharks.
Axolotl Salamanders: Amphibious creatures with regenerative abilities.
🐍 Elapids
Taipan: A venomous snake, 10 metres long.
Venal Snakes: Possibly nest-stealers or highly venomous.
Bat-Snakes: Presumably flying snakes.
Dinosauria: 20-meter-long reptiles resembling brontosaurs with thick chitinous scales and serrated teeth.
🦅 Avians
Owls: Symbol of Rassilon.
Flurry Birds: Likely small, fast-moving birds.
Trunkikes: Game birds whose eggs are often eaten.
Air Diamonds: Fly in the upper atmosphere, possibly crystalline or bioluminescent.
Song Birds: Various species.
Gargantosaurs: Dinosaur-like creatures, twice the size of a hab-bloc, with two legs, vestigial wings (with purple and white feathers), and four eyes.
🦣 Mammals
Plungbolls: Thumbnail-sized furry creatures living in mountains, attach en masse to warm objects.
Taffelshrews: Edible rodent-like mammals.
Fledershrews: Bat-like, mushroom eaters, nearly extinct.
Cobblemice: Mice that sprout wings.
Rovie Mice: Field-dwelling, long-lived if kept safe, sometimes pets. They have short memories.
Moss-Rats: Possibly rodents that live in marshes with moss-like camouflage.
Vex: Burrowing animals.
Gallifreyan Womprats: 1-metre-long rats with fifteen legs.
Pig-Rats: Inhabit the Drylands, presumably combining porcine and rodent traits.
Rabbits
Flubbles: Small six-legged koalas.
Unnamed rounder rabbit-like creatures
Ounce-Apes: Might be tiny monkeys that are particularly agile.
Sealak: Perhaps a kind of seal, often eaten.
Bear-Ass: A donkey-like animal with bear-like qualities.
Horse-Cats: Probably a horse/cat hybrid-like species.
Sagittary: Horse-like creatures.
Elephants
Pig-Bears: Can be trained as pets.
Wolf-like Creatures: With long snouts and black-and-white striped fur, almost as big as adult humanoids.
Broakir: Live in foothills, often hunted for food.
Baanjxx: Arboreal browsers that like to eat hallucinogenic cerub nuts. As a child, the Doctor was kicked by one in the head, apparently.
Cows
Walrus
Gallifreyan Marlot: Purple and unique in all of time and space. Probably a bit cat-like.
House Cats: Revered as symbols of intelligence. Traditionally, Presidents kept them as pets.
🐱 Killer Cats (C.A.T.S)
Killer C.A.T.S: These sapient creatures possess instinctive precognitive powers and cat-like physiology. Known for their lethal gladiatorial contests, they despise Time Lord traditions and live in the Gin-Seng Sector of Southern Gallifrey. Their culture includes mercenaries and oracles; they are telepathic.
🏞️ Ecosystem Preservation
Though Gallifrey's outer ecology has suffered, the Time Lords have used technology to preserve many species. Extinct species have been collected, ensuring none become completely extinct. The more fearsome creatures are contained in the Death Zone, while xeno-zoos hold alien species from other worlds.
🏫 So ...
So there's your whistlestop tour of the species on Gallifrey. One day, I'll try to put these onto a species distribution map. Oh, by Rassilon's Beard, I just gave myself more work.

found you from the anti Harry Potter tag, stayed for the correct transfem Percy Jackson hcs. Anyway do you think tgirl Percy would change her name and if so what would she change it to. Personally I can see her naming herself after her mom. Also do you have any specific ships for her?
THAT'S THE WAY TO GO!!!!HATE HP,LOVE GIRLPERCY
The classic name for fem Percy in fics/fanart is Persephone so i employed that into tfem Percy!!Og Persephone gave her Metamorphose, food that's been blessed by Aphrodite to give the eater their ideal apperance and works as essential hrt when it comes to trans people, because her best friendship with Nico started in their reconnection year between Botl and Tlo made og Persephone figure out she's trans so she wanted to help her since it's canon in the books she likes her better than other demigods
I ship her with every guy that's not Luke or a god or titan /lh.But for specifics,t4t golden retriver team mom and dad Jercy, tall hot cool lady x goofy ass short king Perleo, pastel woc YA lead x brooding led a stray boy she saves with her love Percethan, black flavored symbolism heavy black love Cartercy and Fierrochaseson with established Fierrochase inviting her to be poly with them after a few adventures🫶🏽She's a bi queen so i ship her with Drew too as cotton candy aesthetic queen bee x outcast girl trans gfs,Perachel as t4t queerplatonic black earthy gal pals,Pipercy as a joke ship of Piper being disburted at liking a femme for once in her life when she's butch4butch and Percy doing gaga eyes at her swag and the obligatory not really toxic 'they hate eachother in canon for petty reasons' yuri Perisse(Percy x Clarisse)
Also not romantic but like a friend of mine said, friendships are ships too so lemme say her and Nico and Hazel are platonic soulmates who undoomed eachother from the narrative, canonically, like actually

Poll Info
There are 8 brackets, with 208 species featured! Ranges were determined either using the self-report feature added to the submission box or with eBird sightings. "Cosmopolitan" is a bracket involving species of birds which were found on at least three continents, regardless of which they were submitted for. "Eurasia" are birds which seem to appear equally between Europe and Asia (majority of the continent, not just Middle East). "the Americas" includes all of the Americas, with US birds removed- granted, some Canadian or Mexican birds can show up in the US, but they're not common enough backyard birds (imo) to have been disqualified.
Please-- feel free to advocate for whichever bird you vote for! I would love to get some more participation with this tournament, especially since this is a poll with popular bird species.
Polls will be a week long, and are tagged #Great Backyard Bird Off. All subsequent reblogs are tagged as #poll reblog. Be sure to block this tag if you want to avoid me spamming your dash. Any reblogs containing support for a species will be tagged #[species] support. Results will be tagged #poll results.

“Damn, this kid really has a big appetite eh?” Ron commented. “I’m not surprised if one day she'll gain a lot of weight.”
Draco's smile faded and was replaced with a scowl as he heard Ron's remarks. He couldn't believe Ron was making such insensitive comments about Y/n's eating habits. Draco knew Y/n had always been a big eater, but he never once thought of it as a problem. In fact, he loved how she's eating now without any guilt or shame.
“Says the one who eats like a pig huh? Weasel-bee.” Draco immediately butted in, returning the same comment Ron gave towards the little girl.
This sudden intervention by Draco surprised some of his friends, such as Pansy and Goyle.
Draco was defending her, Y/n. It was totally out of his character, causing for them to stare at him. However, those who didn't noticed and thought that Draco was only provoking the golden trio just like the usual, just laughed it off.
He was clearly not happy about it, and he wanted to make sure Ron knew it. Some of the Slytherins started laughing; Draco, on the other hand, kept a smirk in his face, but the annoyance he felt for Ron and his foolish comments didn't falter.

The wing au sounds awesome ❤️
Thank you! The Wing AU is one that's kind of been brewing for a while, but it really took off when "Angels For Each Other" came out. I keep putting the song on loop while I write it. There's a Norrix story to kick things off, and hopefully a few other fics to fill in the universe. (maybe a Carcar fic? Idk we'll see what happens there, but I definitely want to write at least one fic focusing on Oscar in this AU, I already have an idea in mind (it is NOT friendly to Alpine though, so if you're an Alpine fan, skip that one when it comes out))
One of the main aspects of the Norrix Wing AU story deals with stereotypes tied to wings and wing color and how that affects Lando and Martijn's lives as celebrities, so I've had to create a whole bunch of lore about what different wing colors or patterns "mean" (I put that in quotes because most of the stereotypes are baseless, people are just judgmental), and I've been coming up with wings for as many characters as I can even if I don't know yet if they'll be featured in the story. Part of the lore is that wings can be based on real-life birds or just be unique patterns to a person, so I've been trying to decide who gets real-bird wings and who gets unique wings. Examples for bird wings include Alex, who I mentioned has bee-eater wings, and Lewis, who I think will have Bateleur wings. (Bateleurs are a colorfully patterned African eagle, I've always thought they're really cool!) Size of the wings relative to the person doesn't always correlate with the bird species, but pattern and shape do. Oscar, Lando, and Martijn are examples of characters who will have wing patterns not based on birds. I think Oscar will have warm, kind of dusty orange-golden-brown wings. Lando and Martijn . . .
Well, I don't want to spoil Martijn's wing color, because that's actually a big reveal in the story. There is a way for people to temporarily "hide" their wings from view, and Martijn takes advantage of that ability eagerly. Some wing colors have really negative stereotypes attached to them, and unfortunately for Martijn, he has one of those colors, and is ashamed of his wings. Lando is the exact opposite - his wings have a strong positive stereotype, but that only makes the pressure to succeed even greater, because people see his wings and expect him to always be unfailingly perfect because of them. Lando has worked on learning that his wings don't define his success, and Martijn is on a journey of self-acceptance, and learning that people can love him even with his wings.
This AU is going to be stuffed to the brim with feathery fluff and will probably use the term "angel" as an endearment excessively. I can't wait to share it. <3
This AU may also contain my first-ever attempt at smut but we'll see how that goes

I’m scared to post this but if I don’t I’ll beat myself up about it. Fuck it we ball
I’ve been trying to put my emotions into words All day. But then I remembered. Oh right yeah. I can just. Say It.
Anyways Me being a loser (vent? I don’t know) under the cut
(Cool divider made by me using some splatoon assets I got off the wiki btw :•3 )
(This is kinda long. Way longer than I originally wanted. So super sorry about that)
Anyways for a little while now I’ve been considering that I Might be some form of nonhuman/otherkin. Specifically a shapeshifter, but dogs, cats (both big and small), wolves, and bears are things I relate to heavily as well. (Not sure “relate” is the best term for what I feel but ehh I’m having a hard enough time with this as is) The dog, wolf, and cat parts are because of the kind of shapeshifter I..am?? That feels kinda crazy to say (and saying THAT is giving me some serious self doubt. But as they say, Fuck It We Ball).
Edit (8-24-24)- adding in cuz I just remembered: some visual similarities to lizards/reptiles so throw a little bit of That in the mix idk
Anyways yea the type of shapeshifter I’m talking about is actually a species I’ve been Sorta developing over a couple years now, it’s all come about pretty naturally tho. It’s basically just my brain saying “hey I Hate these parts of being a human. Let’s do something else” idk how to word it. So the kind of shapeshifter I am is more so based on what I hate about my irl body. That definitely plays into my gender dysphoria, and vice versa.
The bear part I feel less strong about, but it makes sense I guess. That came around when I had an intense hyperfixation on Splatoon. My favorite character is Mr.Grizz. Who is a bear. That hyperfixation was also the catalyst for me trying tinned fish!! (This is important to me bcuz I’m an Incredibly picky eater. Not fully relevant to the rest of this but Oh Well. I’m already oversharing on the internet in an attempt to come to terms with my identity, why not share a fun fact, Yknow?) Ever since that I’ve also felt very strongly about salmon. My favorite fish (I didn’t have a favorite fish beforehand) is sockeye salmon I LOVE them. They’re beautiful. They’re poetic. I want to eat them. Also my current layout (as of writing this) is splatoon themed. Specifically Salmon Run and golden eggs. I love the way the world of splatoon makes me feel. I want to be completely immersed in it. Golden eggs look so tasty and are so gender I HAVE to eat them.
I don’t know if this is a kin thing or if I’m just thinking too hard about it (that could apply to this entire post but eh) but I also relate (again, maybe not the “correct” term but I’m working with what my brain has so shh) to Chara from Undertale. Idk something about a little kid falling down into a mountain full of monsters, being adopted by said monsters, and giving themself up just to try saving them…their cannonical distaste of humans…something about them as a character really feels so intensely Me. I don’t think I Am Chara, but. Idk. This is all very new to me (admitting that I feel these things at least. I’ve been consuming some kin content for a while now. It’s fun!! Love moodboards and stimboards so much they’re so fun)
And maybe, if anyone has even read this far, u might be asking “bee! Your name is Bee! Your account name is bee themed!! Are u a little honey making freakazoid out to get lost in the pollen sauce?”
To which I say:

All jokes aside. I don’t know man. Bees are very me, I am very bees, but I tried looking at bee kin/therian posts and i couldn’t really relate as well as i hoped. Although I might’ve just not scrolled down enough to find something that I really deeply felt in my gut. So just. Think of me like a fancy car (except creature) with a cool bee themed skin or something idk. (To be fair itd make more than enough sense for me to be a..kin?? Therian?? I don’t know. Of a bee. I have so many bee things. One day I will have more)
I’m still unsure of labels, if anything I just prefer the term nonhuman, gets the point across without being too specific, and doesn’t give me any of the bad icky feelings that make me feel like I’m lying no matter what I do or say.
Anyways yeah this was long and dumb and honestly? I’m terrified to post it. Ive been struggling to get my words out all day and I’ve been posting like a madman. But I guess using my social media as an outlet for all my emotions I otherwise wouldn’t really have anywhere to put will do that.
Sorry if none of this made any sense, I’m really trying to not only understand myself, but also to then Describe that understanding to other people. And I’ve never been very good at having people understand me.
If I end up realizing I was wrong I will promptly dig a hole in the ground and let nature overtake me and cover me in moss
(Also just a note: if anyone sees this, Reads this, and decides to like. Reply or reblog with words of encouragement/understanding or really Anything. I might not reply bcuz I have really bad social anxiety, especially on the internet. But trust me when I say that I read everything people say in the tags of reblogs, comments/replies, all of it. It’s all greatly appreciated, it really truly is.)

(Cool ass Mr.Grizz divider made by me with an asset from the Nintendo online app in Wandercrust I think. Though I believe all the pics u can get from that are also on the wiki) (I should make a salmon themed divider holy shit)
#cringe alert‼️‼️#<- obligatory ‘embarrassed by my own feelings’ tag#not art#if I worded things weirdly I’m So Sorry. it’s bcuz I’m a dumbass.#vent#I don’t know if that applies but just in case#this was so fucking hard to write#and somehow even harder to post#anxieties a bitch#bee’s creature posting

The Parable of the Mustard Seed (icon)
“Jesus put before them another parable: "The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed that someone took and sowed in his field; it is the smallest of seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and rest in its branches." -Matthew 13:31-32
Recent icon of this passage by Kelly Latimore:
+++
Commenary by Kelly Latimore:
Jesus' parables are one of the ways Jesus trains his disciples. The parables, like the sermon on the mount, have always been crucial for the church to imagine the kind of community it is called to be. We discover again and again that Jesus' parables significance points to everyday life. The parables are meant to be lived.
The original audience may have been perplexed by this story. They would have known that no-one would intentionally plant a mustard shrub. In fact, the Jewish Mishnah forbade the growing of mustard seeds in the garden because they were 'useless annoying weeds'. In the Hebrew Scriptures the "birds of the air" can be a reference to Gentiles/Non-Jews, the foreigner.
This parable suggests that the kingdom of heaven is available to everyone. Even those who may be considered outsiders or not "Worthy". Jesus is calling us to see the significance in the insignificant. The parables of the kingdom of heaven make clear that the kingdom of heaven is not "up there". Through the parables Jesus is teaching us to "be for the world the material reality of the kingdom of heaven brought down to earth." As Jesus is himself the parable of the father so the church is meant to be the parable of Christ. A people in space and time welcoming the outcast, the foreigner, and the stranger. These kind of communities will look like unwanted weeds to the world, or even to other christians. However, this may be exactly the church Jesus is asking us to embody. Prints, Digital Downloads, and Calendars available All of the birds in this icon are native to the Holy Land. Birds in the icon: Palestine Sunbird, Scrub Warbler, Common Rosefinch, Laughing dove, Barn Swallow, House Sparrow, Fire-Fronted Serin, Red- Rumped Swallow, Rufous-tailed Scrub Robin, Woodchat Shrike, European Greenfinch, Tree Pipit, Nubian Nightjar, Northern Wheatear, Green Bee Eater, Eurasian Golden Oriole, European Roller, Eurasian Jay, Great Tit, Hooded Crow, Eurasian Blackbird, Common Chiffchaff, Rock Bunting, Crested Lark, and White Spectacled Bulbul. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1006593093924270&set=a.437194030864182 https://www.facebook.com/kellylatimoreicons

(I tried to come up with as many different birds as I could remember and tried my best to match to their kind of personalities. As for the Au I think the Auto-Bots and Decepticons are 2 flocks who are very territorial and often fight for space and recourses in their little woodland home. Despite the constant fighting Harpies are very loyal and tentative to their flock members and in fighting is rare but not impossible, Most fights tend to between Siblings, relatives or mates. The flocks are lead by a lead family and their bloodline, however if the flock is displeased or the family isn't up to it they can either challenge the ruling family or the Family will step down allowing a new leader to take over. This is mostly common in the Decepticon flock with Starscream's family trying to take over the flock for generations while the later is more common in the Auto-Bot Flock.)
That's all I got so far, Hope you enjoyed
