Urania, Goddess of astronomy, astrology and philosophy. Her gaze ever fixed on the the infinite universe. Muse to those who seek to divine the stars, expand the mind, and unravel the mysteries of the heavens.

The Night 🌚 NYX

✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨✨

In shadows deep, where night does reign,

Goddess Nyx, a celestial bane.

Stars her jewels, the moon her guide,

In darkness, beauty shall abide.

A tapestry of dreams unfurls,

As Nyx, the cosmic fabric swirls.

Cloaked in mystery, veiled in grace,

She weaves the threads of time and space.

Silent whispers in the dark,

Her presence leaves a mystic mark.

Nocturnal queen, with power vast,

In Nyx's embrace, shadows cast.

A symphony of shadows, a ballet of the night,

Goddess Nyx, in celestial flight.

In cosmic dance, her essence weaves,

An ode to her, the night receives.

Nyx - Lady of the Night

Goddess and personification of the night. She belonged to the primeval gods. She was considered a daughter of Chaos. In art, she is usually depicted as a woman with wings on her shoulders, in a dark robe, on a chariot, in the company of the Stars.

I'll be frank here, I'm not used to drawing the human body in more sensitive artwork. I'm not opposed to it, anatomy is anatomy and everybody has a body, but I'm simply not attracted to the human form, so I don't know what is considered sexy or not.

With that said, I see the Greek Goddess Nyx as someone who doesn't wear clothes. She is the night sky, her body laid bare for all to see.

Nyx, the Greek Goddess of primordial Night, dark mother of mysteries, dressed in stars, subduer of gods and men, who even mighty Zeus himself stood in awe of.

(I'm actually looking for a poem, lyrics or a quote to be added to this piece. Something about the night, star gazing and exploration... Our love of the stars. If you have any recommendations, please do throw them my way! I'm hunting but I haven't found something just right yet.)

Nyx: I swear you and your boyfriend share the same sleep schedule, and I WATCH OVER BOTH OF YOU!! WHY CANT YOU BOTH HAVE A DECENT SLEEP SCHEDULE.

Sobek: drink more water, take care of your body and health.

Morrigan: Time to practice some divination. Perhaps your friend can also use a spell bottle.

Arawn: ...I'm going to pet your dog, and I'll be on my way. Also, don't forget to upkeep your wards. Go out sometime. You both need the sunlight.

Ereshkigal: Don't forget to grieve properly for those you lost. They are always there no matter what.

Kali: Stop tiptoeing and start doing Shadowwork. You can't ignore it.

Mictlantecuhtli: honor and remember your ancestors. Know your mother is beside you.

Loki: Don't forget to start some chaos while you are it. *chuckles* You've survived worse child, don't forget you're unbreakable and nothing can hold you back.
