So I was rewatching Eddie Begins and (this isn’t going to be the most eloquent so hold on) when Eddie is drowning and all the memories are flashing before his eyes, they use the song ‘Carry You’ by Ruelle. This song is the same song they use in MayDay in season 5 when the team goes to save Bobby and May.

What makes this so cool to me is that when it comes to both scenes, both men have dealt with a reality where they thought they wouldn’t be able to have a proper family; Bobby because of losing Marcy, Bobby Jr, and Brook (and not wanting to overstep w/Athena and the kids) and Eddie because of Shannon and his parents and his own struggles of feeling inadequate and not wanting Christopher to suffer, so putting up a wall of some sorts.

So in Eddie Begins, the song swells when he has decided to keep going. He keeps going despite being at deaths door because he doesn’t just have Christopher (although thats the main part of it) , he has an entire family that he and Chris are a part of and he accepts that. That he has a family that loves him

Bobby sees May as a daughter but doesn’t necessarily expect her to see him the same way as a dad. Also, while he has gotten 100x better ever since his infamous, “We’re not a family” in season 1, he still has that doubt when it comes to his team; 2021-22 had been hard on his team, the family aspect of it especially crumbling and he has been having to hold it together. But then he’s in danger, and as the song swells, his family which had been broken reaffirms that they are family that he is a crucial member of it, and they pull him and May out (and we get the scene of May affirming that this is her dad).

And at the same time we also get Eddie, who tore himself from his family because he thought it was the right thing to do (because of overwhelming trauma about to pop off like mentos in soda) coming back to his family and realizing that is where he is meant to be.

Anyway, Bobby and Eddie being mirrors of each other makes my chest fill with emotions and they both get families and happiness and I thank god for the 9-1-1 writers we have.

as a side note I think it's really fucking funny and telling how people will talk about weed addiction but would never accuse someone of being addicted to any other prescription medication. yeah I smoke weed regularly. I also take Wellbutrin an Albuterol inhaler and Klonopin regularly. yeah I can't function sometimes without weed. but I can't sleep if I don't take 3 different sleep medications lmfao

if you're going to go around warning of the dangers of weed addiction then I hope you're also fear mongering and shaming regular Adderall and Xanax users :)

I'm here to ask the important questions, What games do they like best? We all know in our hearts that V1 has 100% completed the Crash Bandicoot trilogy but what does Gabe and V2 enjoy?

hope it's ok i'm putting these two together bc i love that they came in right next to each other and we can talk gamers!!!! i BIG agree that v1 actually plays a lot of nonviolent games weirdly enough - it has an absolutely wild and hard to look at animal crossing island (all the robo villagers live there......the dream......) and has logged a disgusting amount of hours into like. fishing sims. it also definitely plays goofy shit like crash bandicoot and gex (like just weird 90s and 00s games), plus whatever genre of game things like catlateral damage are. so it has a WIDE pool it picks from, although it does play some fighting games to develop new and ridiculous strategies. v2 absolutely loves playing challenging games like dark souls to full optimization and it has an official gamer card. i absolutely agree that it's competitive about it, unfortunately v1 would be the best rival for it but it's just. complete garbage at any competitive game and it doesn't care to get better. basically all i can say about v2 is that it plays all the games that i can't bc i'm,,,i'm terrible at games!! gabriel is the hardest one to place imo, but i've always liked the idea of him playing strategy-based fighting games like fire emblem, because as an angel he's very wrapped up in his role of warrior and general. MINECRAFT THO....it's so funny to me bc i imagine he has very little creativity (again, angels are sort of rigid and don't have that divine spark the way humans do), but imagine him trying to build and make his own things ;A; it's actually really cute!! he can make a house,,,,it's not very good, like it's just a box, but he made it!! he created a minecraft!!!
