GUYS HEAR ME OUT I HAVE A GGY AU IDEA IF IT HASN'T ALREADY BEEN DONE YET. (if it has please tell me I would love to see it 👀👀)

What if when Tony gets a little too close to solving the GGY mystery, Glitchtrap goes "This small child is getting too close let's go murder him lol" So Possessed Gregory leads him into the Pizzaplex and tries to kill him, but somehow Tony persuades them both to keep him alive, offering to provide his services, like helping with creating fairly realistic cover up stories for the more recent murders, spreading lies and rumors about different things to throw the public off their scent, etc etc. Glitchtrap/GGY is hesitant at first but decides to keep him, not only seeing him as a somewhat valuable asset that he could easily kill if things went awry, but also seeing him as a liability due to how much he knows . So Tony is just following them around at this point knowing that if he doesn't he'll probably get murdered (random sidenote but he is not glitchtrapped/possessed), there are occasionally times where Gregory is actually coherent and aware of himself and he seems to be incredibly grateful that his friend is there helping him and being so understanding, despite the terrible circumstances they are both stuck under. Tony is glad that he can be somewhat of a confidant even considering the dire situation they are both in. Tony watches multiple other people get murdered by Gregory and Vanny, and has unfortunately led people into their own demise unwillingly (He doesn't kill them, he just leads them into a trap and yk) (kill or get killed ✨). The only reason he hasn't entirely broken down / ran away is because he doesn't want to leave his best friend behind. He knows there has to be some way to get him out of there, which is why he spends so much time studying the situation, he is constantly trying to find a weak link, some way to get his friend out of Glitchtrap's grasp. Even though he knows that if he gets caught or slips up, he will most likely get killed or worse.

I would really like to write this into a story but I would need to set an entire timeline and whatnot, think of scenes, the regular old writing shiz biz.

But what do you guys think? would you like me to make this into a fanfic bcuz I'm genuinely interested 👁️👁️

I have officially (and singlehandedly <3) broken both slider puzzles in Tales of Symphonia.

...well that has been true for like a year but now someone's actually done both skips I found in an actual speedrun.

As some of you may know, I used to speedrun Tales of Symphonia (mostly NG+, exclusively GC), and was sort of good at it (2nd and 3rd place respectively), but had to stop because my wrists are fucked up.

As perhaps fewer of you know, I also have done a lot of glitch hunting. I've found significant skips in 3 different games. I enjoy the process of figuring out how things work and exploiting brokenness.

Several years ago I found a way to break the Welgaia slider puzzle section and save like a whole minute, and I made a really stuffy-sounding tutorial video showcasing it:

...but, crucially, the skip is also implemented in my own runs and the world record runs, which means people will find out about it if they try to learn the game by watching other runs. It is out there fulfilling its purpose.

A year ago, I also found a way to break the ice temple slider puzzle, making it so you never have to do either one as-intended. This one is much shorter which means it only saves about 7 seconds but it still felt great to find:

But unfortunately, the community has been pretty dead for the past ~3 years for reasons I don't care to get into here and nobody was actually running the game. I was pretty sure this cool thing I spent hours finding would never see the light of day.

BUT I WAS WRONG!

TatsuyaAct has been running the JP version, and actually did the trick in a run:

...which means now people will like, actually see it! It exists beyond just me saying "hey I found this" and it disappearing forever. It's in a complete run of the game. It has fulfilled its purpose.

This doesn't quite feel as awesome as when a Japanese Tales of the Abyss runner implemented a skip I found in the world record run, but it's still nice.
