Idea on how Bud Illis and Glenn Poeff met/became close friends:
So, I'm thinking:
it's either that Glenn was doing mercenary work after his household got destroyed and later met Bud because of the commissions/line of work or they would have known each other before his uncle's betrayal. I think the first option is more likely so taking that as base:
We know that Glenn is responsible for the 'very op, only a dragon would be able to open it' safe of the mercenaries at Leeb An city. Bud probably commissioned Glenn to ensure the safe's protection there or in other places as well. But to trust someone with your organization's wealth you need to put quite the thought behind it and knowing Bud he should have been well aware of that.
So at this point it's reasonable to assume they have already been working together for some time. What does that have to do with their first meeting tho? Let's see.
Let's say Bud has just been made mercenary king. So what would be his first priorities? Yeah, he's in need of lot of experts that could work in teams (see the ranger brigade) and a well protected safe.
Hmm. Okay, now how to solve the second problem? He'd need a very skilled mage for that. Where to find information on one? In the mercenary directory of course. Or look at the candidates for his teams of people for the ranger brigade. Another option is he was drinking around when he smelled something interesting, a highest level mage. (that sounds so funny lmao, anyway) Glenn is the only one in the mercenaries guild to be of that level according to wiki so of course Bud would want to requit the guy one way or another.
So, Bud most likely found him while gathering information on mages either way. Probably in a tavern too because that's a great place to play drunk at and other mercenaries would gather there or just people in general to rest and eat before going out. Bud might've noticed him there and approached with a drink in hand.
Glenn would absolutely look at him like 'who the heck is this drunk and why does he bother me' but listen, after working together for a bit it's really not that hard to see Bud's real nature. And Bud would absolutely put him to work, this is basically a golden opportunity for the safety of the mercenaries' wealth.
Would Glenn btw just give him his full name while being very much of a fallen assassin family that got betrayed? Meh, unlikely. The mercenaries do not care much about what's right or not since they operate by their own moral compass but I feel like Glenn would be cautious enough not to just give his full name to a stranger.
Bud, being mercenary king and all, would first probably want to see if Glenn would be willing to join his mercenaries guild, if not, force him anyway (?). There's surely a record of the Poeff household's stronger members and while Glenn might have not made the list Bud could still use the records to get an idea about the guy.
He would make him join the mercenaries guild some way. If Glenn was working as a mercenary beforehand he might have been part of it anyway, they were just not yet acquainted.
We know how the ranger brigade has mages in every team for communication purposes. I feel like at the start of their relationship that was Glenn's job basically. He'd go around with Bud, record things, take/make calls. He does that even now anyway. He must have also been the one who Bud consulted with about how many resources, magic stones and whatnots to give each ranger brigade team to ensure they have enough for all possible complications.
In short, they met through work.
How did they become so close that Cale felt like it's more important to mention that every single time Glenn showed up than literally anything else about him first, like idk- his name? Well, here's one possible answer: Wind Island.
(btw, I'm aware Cale just mentions that first because he knows Bud not Glenn, but it's pretty funny. Back to topic-)
Bud came from a twin island of Wind Island and his family were entrusted with protecting the place, the ancient artifact within the temple (the cup) for generations. We know Bud has used that cup once. He went, drank from it, came back. Or went, took it, drank from it and returned it. The point is, he went there despite the risks.
He was very much dying.
So, one of the easiest and probably fastest way at the time to win Bud's trust and loyalty would have been Glenn going to his hometown with him and having his back through the getting the cup, drinking from it, then bringing it back process. Even though Bud was aware of how to get to the cup, to an outsider it'd still look like a su1c1de mission. Or even worse, what if Glenn would have been told that yeah, it doesn't matter much if he fails because he'd die either way. This way at least Bud has a chance to live longer. :')
This whole thing is also most probably the reason Glenn calls Bud reckless even though we know he thinks through his moves, is quick to evaluate the situation, unafraid to ask for help when needed and yada yada. Of course he might be less meticulous than Cale but pretty close still.
The fact he'd even entrust someone with the knowledge he's dying - when people could try to become the mercenary king instead - and the whole Wind Island thing would be a pretty good show of trust in my opinion. Maybe the trust has already been there, maybe this was the last chance to see if it was placed in the right person. Good thing Bud is a decent reader of other's character.
If something happened to him (since I don't know of any living relative of his?) who'd be entrusted to carry on his role of the place's protector. That's a pretty big burden to carry and for what. Who would even know about it? Haha, Glenn for one, next best thing.
So, we now have an idea how Bud would come to be close with Glenn but what about the other way around? It's pretty easy actually.
First of all, Glenn gives the vibe of an introvert that an extrovert (Bud) randomly decided to adopt one day and that's one of best foundation for strong friendships xd
Secondly, Bud would know about his past, is working against the organization that did that (mercenaries guild vs arm) and genuinely cares about his mercenaries so how could you not come to appreciate the guy just a bit hmmm??!??
Hehe, anyway-
Glenn is someone who was running around with Bud knowing full well the mercenary king is a walking target for the White Star and also the one going with him on all types of missions and getting help for his sorry ass when needed. And Bud is someone who carried an injured Glenn to 'safety' even when it seemed like there was no point to it all and was ready to die for a chance of him and his people escaping.
Glenn finds Bud often embarrassing and Bud elbows and bickers with Glenn quite a lot and I love them and their relationship SO MUCH people I'm not even kidding (╥﹏╥)
I need a side story with them so bad, at this point maybe I should just write it.

Given the time/resources and presuming that there isn't unknown elements to setup how would you handle
A. The Reveal that Summer Rose is alive and Working with Taiyang
B. What Taiyang has been doing that is so important he's not in Vacuo?
if i were the one writing this story there is no force on earth that could stop me from doing the reveal like—well for the purpose of this hypothetical let’s pretend “time/resources” included that the 9.12 animatic did not get cut at the eleventh hour but the original 9.11 did, such that v9 is exactly the same except for the storyboard epilogue being a completed eleventh episode. given that, in my hands:
v10 cold opens in the midst of salem’s assault on vale, narrowly focused on glynda’s point of view. we use this to establish the basic sequence of events leading to that refugee ship arriving in vale, glynda and other defenders are holding the line, raven portals in to inform her grimly that patch’s defenses are falling and the ship is leaving now, she maybe expects glynda to flee with her, glynda instead thinks: mountain glenn. we might have a fighting chance there. and then sends raven to make sure the refugees make it to safety.
the remainder of episode 1 is about rwbyj getting caught up with everything. ruby has questions she wants to ask raven about summer, but she’s not forgotten how raven reacted the last time ruby reminded her of summer, and also everything else is so much, so she has a team huddle with yang about it. yang meanwhile is feeling… some way about raven being here because a) why wasn’t yang a good enough reason to stay before she ‘died’ but also b) she doesn’t not want raven to be here, so…? it’s complicated.
which leads to: yang is the one who bites the bullet to ask raven about summer. (probably not in 10.1, this is a 10.2 or 10.3 conversation depending on how high the heat is with the crown. i haven’t thought deeply about this but my impulse is to say we use 10.1 to establish what the situation is, in 10.2 we play the schnee family reunion off some sort of skirmish or setback involving the crown, 10.3 yang takes a stab at talking to raven.
now. yang is smart. and she’s had a few days to observe raven—i think she’d want some time to process mom is here? and helping?! before actually trying to have a conversation. she knows what ruby saw in the tree, and how raven reacted when ruby reminded her of summer, and what raven said in mistral.
“she lied—she left with raven!?”
versus, the truth is that truth is hard to come by, and you need to question everything, and your father and qrow are blind fools for trusting ozpin. and also: i’ve stared death in the face over and over again and every time i’ve spat in that face and survived, while raven all but choked back tears. because i’m strong enough to do what others won’t.
and yang also knows, because salem herself told them, that summer’s last mission—the one where she left with raven—brought her face-to-face with salem.
it does not take a genius to put two and two together, here. yang figures that either:
raven sold out summer to save herself, or
summer lied to raven, too
or maybe both, and either way this is an extremely sore subject—one she maybe shouldn’t start prodding right off the bat. luckily(?) there’s a safer goliath in this room she can start with instead.
where’s dad?
like, qrow told the girls tai’s “on assignment,” but little else. it seemed like he didn’t know the details, either. raven has a bond to tai—she must know where he is, right? (right, says raven, reluctantly.)
where is he? in vale. still.
if he’s trying to evacuate the ones who got left behind, why couldn’t qrow just tell us that? he’s…………not doing that.
then why isn’t he here?
<- raven does not want to fucking touch the answer to this question with a twelve foot pole, and narratively the reason we open the question like this is so that raven’s abandonment of yang—first as a small child, and then again at haven—can derail the conversation the instant raven starts squirming. probably it does not go super well from here; raven clams up, yang’s resentment and hurt come flooding out again, maybe they have another shouting match, maybe yang in the heat of the moment throws an accusation re: summer that makes raven go deer in headlights before bolting. or maybe something explodes outside the academy (figuratively or otherwise) and they have to drop it and rush to put out the proverbial fire. whatever happens, things are left unresolved.
in 10.4 we skip back just a few months. vale hasn’t fallen yet. it’s late. snowing maybe. hooded figure (a dark cloak, not white—nondescript grey or brown, maybe black, she’s keeping a low profile) is standing at summer’s grave, alone. replaying the recording of ruby’s broadcast. i hope amity tower will help bring us all together. because in the end, that’s how we’ll win—
emergency broadcast screen. static. hooded figure lowers the scroll. stares at her grave for a moment. and then from the woods behind her, salem: she sounds… just like her mother.
hooded figure startles and as she’s turning around, says bitterly: i guess it’s like they say; like mother, like daughter.
we hear her voice before we see her face, so there’s one last split second for denial and disbelief (that can’t really be her, no, what, what!?) before salem slinks out of the shadows and summer pulls her hood down and smiles wanly and is plainly not a corrupt hollowed out grimm shell of herself.
and then we do the “what happened in atlas, no i’ve not found the vault (tai doesn’t know anything 😒), salem cautiously sharing that ruby and yang ‘fell’” conversation. cinder isn’t here either implicitly or explicitly because salem isn’t sure how badly summer will take the news. to really double-underline where we’re going with this summer echoes the sentiment if not the exact words of ruby’s inspiring speech to oscar in the dojo scene; she is scared, she is hurt, but the gods intend to kill everyone, so she will not turn aside. no matter what.
(that’s the funny thing about the unserious edgy ‘ruby villain arc’ and semi-serious ‘salem fallen hero’ stuff stirred up by all the anvil-sized ruby-salem parallelism going on in v9, isn’t it? summer rose is imminent.)
anyway from there we toggle back and forth between what is now an agonizing boil of dramatic irony (they don’t know their mom is with salem) intermixed with enigma (how did this happen. why did this happen. what the HELL does raven know–) against the backdrop of burgeoning civil war in vacuo, and peeling back the outer layers of salem’s psyche against the backdrop of her search for the crown and preparation to force the coalition to risk use of the sword in vale, while tai realizes too late that he might be a boiled frog and cinder doing her level best to wring every concession she can get out of salem.
in my hands the vale storyline remains in the past relative to the vacuo storyline such that it is an inevitable build toward razing vale: we know it’s going to happen, we know there’s a span of a couple weeks, maybe even a month, between atlas falling and the sack of vale, and in this part of the narrative we’re very abruptly wrenched into salem’s side of this war—she doesn’t arrive in vale with the intention of razing it and her arc in v10 is about how and why she comes to that course of action.
and then at the end of the volume we bookend the assault on vale from the other side—cinder’s and summer’s and salem’s perspectives, tai maybe getting corralled into the mountain glenn undercity with everyone else—and play that against the climactic confrontation with the crown in vacuo to set the stage for v11.

carl grimes headcannons because we lack of anything for him and i can (most, if not all, are just non-apocalypse headcannons):
- autistic (we are starting off strong here)
- vocally stims vines sometimes (“road work ahead? uh yeah i sure hope it does”, “look at all those chickens”, “i wanna be a cowboy baby”) (he does that last one in front of rick a lot and rick never understands it’s from vine)
- judith: “daddy?”
- carl: “DO I LOOK LIKE-?”
- glenn taught him a lot of stupid jokes like “ligma” and “joe mama” (the usual college kid jokes)
- would use the “joe mama” joke on judith a lot
- judith would retaliate with ligma jokes (“we have the same mom idiot”)
- no one knows where she learnt that one
- loved science as a kid
- switched between wanting to become a cop like rick or an astronomer
- thought about being a palaeontologist but couldn’t see himself doing it for the rest of his life
- didn’t have a lot of friends but was still liked by other kids anyways (doesn’t mean he’s popular, people are just neutral about him)
- is on a swim team
- just likes swimming in general
- MOMMA’S BOY!!!!!
- then lori died so he made that transition over to his dad…yeah
- keeps his hair long and went through that teenage grunge phase
- listens to bands like oasis, los campensinos, nirvana, foo fighters, etc etc
- his parents music taste would sneak in sometimes tho like fleetwood mac, abba (lori) bob dylan, johnny cash (rick), any 80’s songs and old country (below the 70’s)
- because of that grunge phase he’d 100% play the electric guitar
- his grandpa taught him a bit of acoustic whenever they’d visit
- he plays the acoustic sometimes for judith, or anyone in his family who asks, but mainly judith
- plays more chill songs like something you’d find in the ‘life is strange’ soundtrack (bright eyes, angus and julia stone, iron & wine) (most of those are from enid’s music taste)
- rick and michonne let him use the garage but it still drives them up the walls when he jams out with friends
- doesn’t understand the superbowl but because his dad likes it he makes an effort to watch it with him because no one else will
- jump scares any unsuspecting victim when they turn the corner of a wall
- to calm down whenever he’s stressed/overwhelmed/overstimulated he’ll either go swimming or ask his grandparents to come over (they own a farm) to ride some horses
- allergic to peanuts (not pecans because they had to eat some when they met Gabriel so)
- hates anything deep fried except for fish
- terrible in any form of skating
- roller skating? keeps slamming into the wall
- ice skating? uses those kid-balance-crutches-thingys
- he just has terrible coordination
- obviously gets worse when he looses his eye
- he’s good at bowling tho
- even tho he’s a moody teenager he’s EXTREMELY kind
- switches from sciences to arts and english in high school
- started making little family portraits drawings
- can actually understand old english/shakespeare
- makes blanket forts with judith 24/7
- actually does have a southern accent it’s just more like loris (less noticeable than ricks)
- would 100% watch minecraft youtubers
- bisexual little shit (duh)
- when he was a kid he didn’t have a fear of needles but as he grew up he just DESPISED them like shaking screaming crying and throwing up type deal
- hums a lot to judith, usually the song “baby mine”
- snapchat user
- embarrassingly so. especially when he uses the filters
- has a diary and calls it a diary not a journal
- drops trauma like it’s nothing, like a silly joke (this is basically canon but i’ll still include it in)
- headphones on 24/7 might as well be glued to his head (his ears are too small for earphones and he likes soundproof headphones anyways)
- an entire shelf in his closet is just for comics (and some comics are thin so you can imagine how many he has)
- likes reading other things too instead of just comics
- refuses to wear elastics/tie his hair up even if it gets in his way a lot
- let’s judith put silly hairclips in it
- sometimes forgets to take them out when he gets to school but he doesn’t care much

Hi I don't know shit about dungeons and daddies so I just grabbed this ship from something random you reblogged so uh swiftli for the ship ask game?
Hello and thanks for the ask! Swiftli is the ship name for the pairing of Taylor Swift (not that one) and Lincoln Li Wilson. Ship Ask Game
The duo are two of the four teen main characters in Dungeons and Daddies podcast season 2. Basically, S2 is about the grandkids of the S1 characters trying to fix the mess their parents and grandparents left behind.
Taylor is an anime enthusiast, survivalist teen, and a ranger turned rogue. He is the son of Cassandra Swift and Nicholas Foster. The grandson of both Jodie Foster and Glenn Close who, due to timeline shenanigans, were both once Nicholas/Nick's dad in different timelines. They are brothers (basically) that argue constantly and are played by real brothers. (Also yeah, a lot of the names in that family are based on real celebrities haha). Lincoln "Link" is a soccer player and enthusiast, formerly homeschooled, and the protective paladin of the group! He is the son of Grant Li Wilson and Marco Li Wilson and grandson of Darryl Wilson. Lincoln's main motivation for starting public school was so he could join the soccer team and he spends a lot of time playing Fifa, watching Garfield, and practicing at any opportunity. Wears Cleats everywhere and has repeatedly tried to hone his skills...by trying to make breakfast using only his feet. 1. What made you ship it? Their friendship in the podcast is very fun and silly so it was on my mind when listening. There's an earlier arc in the season where the four main characters are split into duos. The pairs dynamics (Taylor and Link plus Scary and Normal) were really interesting and sweet to me. 2. What are your favorite things about the ship?
Having this trust in each other to try some really absurd plans or stubbornly arguing about them instead lol. Hyping each other up, laughing at each others jokes etc. Also family situations of Lincoln having been sheltered and homeschooled, and he loves his dads a lot but wishes to have some more space to himself. As well as wanting to have friends his own age in general. Taylor on the other hand is home alone a lot given his mother works so much to support them. Fills that quiet with anime and game bingeing all night and being one of the chattiest kids at school. A supposed popular kid, but no real true friends that actually care about him or his interests past knowing he's got a 'hot mom and being a rich kid' etc. Its sweet to me that they found a close friend in each other and (and in Scary and Normal). It could be fun if they held hands about it sometimes. Headcanon wise, Taylor encouraging Link to explore and adventure plus Link helping Taylor be a little more open. The two love to hear each other info dump even if they don't fully understand the other's interests too.
3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? Hmm, well this is more about any ships involving Lincoln but I wish there was more focus on Lincoln's behavior and struggles. To be honest, this is something I want to improve on with my own fanart/fic as well. Doubt this is unpopular but, I don't care if any of the dndads ships every happen in canon. The main characters care about each other regardless and its been cool to see their bonds and behaviors change as the story progresses. Also, I haven't seen it that much lately but some people....being weird about Hero since she and Taylor have/had crushes on each other in canon. Not liking Hero and Taylor interacting because their arguments are intense is fine--but being annoyed about her because she's supposedly in the way of a ship is not <.<;;

Amy Rose “One Love”
LET’S START AT THE VERY BEGINNING. A VERY GOOD PLACE TO START. It started with a song, a very passionate little 5-year-old girl and a dream that one day the whole wide world would know her, like the world knows Dolly Parton. Country Music was my passion, and with the support of my parents, that passion turned into reality. This 5-year-old little girl spent years of hard work and dedication perfecting her craft. I have toured the world, singing everywhere and anywhere, that would allow me. At the age of 13, I scored my first record deal and went on to release my first full length album, Amy Rose “One Special Girl”, (A Gospel Album). I have always been a firm believer that everything happens for a reason. Every story has a beginning, middle and an end. In life, every ending is a new beginning. After many incredible opportunities, that I will forever be grateful for, I made the decision to part ways with the label. Country Music has always been my passion and that is where my heart was. This was my new beginning. This was a way for me to explore the creative vision and follow that dream. A dream, a 5-year-old Amy Rose had, to be that country singer, just like her idol, the Amazing Dolly Parton! I team up with producers Marty Beecroft and Glenn Coulson, founding members of Canadian/ International pop group V.I.P. This leads us to write and produce my first worldwide radio release together “Party Like a Redneck”. With this song showing promise, moving up the country charts in many countries, we decided it was time to shoot a music video for the single. The music video for “Party Like a Redneck” would be picked up by CMT along with many other music video networks around the world, making some noise for this Redneck Princess. This eventually landed me a nomination and a win at the Nashville Universe Awards, Music Video of the Year for “Party Like a Redneck”. With 2 Music Row Top 100 songs, 4 NMW Top 50 songs, two of those songs going all the way to #1 under my belt, this Redneck Princess is ready to show Country Music exactly what she is made of. NOW LET’S FAST FORWARD. March 17th, 2020, schools in Ontario, Canada are shut down for two weeks to “Flatten the Curve” and that was when the world stopped turning. Schools were closed. Restaurants, bars, basically cities were shut down, including the music industry. Recording music was almost impossible. I was halfway through my project with Grammy Award winning producer, Dale Oliver, when this happened. Travelling to Nashville, TN, was now impossible. COVID-19 had taken hold. Healthcare was now the priority, and I was up to the challenge. Returning to my previous EMT position, mostly transporting COVID-19 patients. For over two years this was my priority, as well as my family. Then the break through, the light at the end of the tunnel. Restrictions are lifted, borders are opened, life is slowly returning to normal. Now it is time to get back on track. April 2022, project moves into high gear. Trips to Nashville are planned. Production is moving forward. With the wave of the magic wand, (figuratively speaking of course), the final version of “Amy Rose One Love” is born. Written by Joshua Keeler Ramsay, of Marianas Trench, this power ballad showcases all what Amy Rose has to offer. This is my labour, (labor for the American’s), of love. I hope you enjoy this song, as much as I enjoyed making it for you. "The decision was made a long time ago, before any of us knew each other. When we were all strangers who would’ve just passed each other on the street before the world ended. And now we mean everything to each other. You were in trouble. You were trapped. Glenn didn’t know you, but he helped you. He put himself in danger for you. And that started it all. From Atlanta, to my daddy’s farm, to the prison, to here, to this moment now. Not as strangers, as family. Because Glenn chose to be there for you that day a long time ago. That was the decision that changed everything. It started with both of you, and it just grew to all of us.”

🌌 *This post will probably offend some and stir controversy, but… the truth won’t change just because you don’t agree with it or are offended by it*
For those who are attacking people for “absolving/defending Harry for his involvement”. Take the pacifiers out of your mouths, wipe the foam from your mouth, and calm down. Your rabid rage isn’t making any sense.
Speaking only for myself; I never supported the idea that Harry was some innocent weakling. I’ve reiterated the fact that his hands aren’t clean in Holivia, and encouraged people to hold him accountable for his participation.
If it was partly for career advancement: he could have patiently waited for a better project to come, as most actors do, or could had been satisfied with and confident that his performances in Eternals, MP, and Dunkirk was enough to impress casting executives.
If it was for money: he could had waited for a better project to come or been contended with what he presently had.
If it was because of the blackmail: he could have involved legal matters in settling the issue. Rather than reason within himself that he could control Holivia before it spiraled into what we have now.
Harry isn’t innocent. He agreed to stunt, when he could have rejected that stipulation or renegotiated the terms in a way that it wouldn’t be what it is now. He agreed to extending the stunt after it was suppose to complete. He chose not to pay whatever termination fees required to end it before it’s expiration date.
Harry isn’t innocent. Even if fans try to argue it; the facts and his actions have proven otherwise.
However, if the justice warriors want to call for his blood, it would only be justly that you apply that same call for ALL of those who have actively participated in and profited from Holivia, such as: Olivia. Jeff. Glenne. Anthony. Tommy. Harry L. James. Tyler. Harris Reed. Anne. Alessandro. Gemma. Ella. All of Harry and Olivia’s team members, associates, acquaintances, and friends.
Basically, any one else who has smiled for the cameras, connected themselves to Olivia, in such a way, that strengthen Holivia to the public, and who has used it to promote their businesses and receive profit from it.
Yes, his family involved themselves to help him. However, they were there during 1D. They’ve seen how the infection of fame from a desperate person spreads, and once, left untreated, ruins everything and one it touches.
Them getting involved with SM liking sprees has done more damage than good.
As did Gemma agreeing to Baxter and Bonny’s marketing team to send and post pics of Olivia wearing their merchandise.
*For those wondering “I thought that was Gemma’s line?”
When has Gemma ever posted a sketch or any part of the creative design process in creating these glasses? Gemma’s ALWAYS posting and sharing the BTS of projects she’s fully involved with. Gemma majored in science- not fashion design/business. She did a brief stint as a teacher then became a freelance writer- not a stylist. What credentials would Gemma have to suddenly design and have her own sunglass line? Not to mention the financing needed to start, operate, and cover the cost of a design company.
Gemma’s, as a lot of celebs who never show a glimpse of the design process, is merely the FACE of GemmaStyles Sunglasses. Not the actual creator/owner/designer. Her last name alone brings in sales and companies capitalizes off of it.*
Not to mention the writers, editors, and photographers who work for all the tabloids and PR agencies who arranged for, provided with, and profited of Holivia.
Oh, and don’t forget to track down all of those “fans” who’s fabricated/elaborated stories of meeting them and giving pics to outlets that they knew would circulate it for attention.
The only true victims in Holivia was, is, and will forever be, Otis and Daisy. They will have to reflect back/ be reminded of this time where they were used as pawns in the Hollywood game of getting fame and money.
Which is exactly why myself or anyone else who truly cared about justice and/or Otis and Daisy’s well-being and future shouldn’t absolve Jason from his active participation in Holivia.
For those who believe that they’re lawyers, because they binged watched crime shows, use the phones that are perpetually glued to you to education yourselves in law.
Don’t try to argue, “Olivia left Jason not choice.”
You’re trying to say that now, given that Holivia content is now shit and has exhausted itself to where it’s amassed a cult who are conceived that she’s carrying Harry’s 100th child and they’re married, Jason has decided to step in and do what’s best for his kids?
Now that Ted Lasso has expanded its audience from Holivia, won its awards, Jason secured a coveted Super Bowl commercial, edited by Matthew, hosted SNL, was on the cover of GQ, renovated his appeal, in a way that some Harries now lust over him-even though if it wasn’t for Holivia they wouldn’t had never heard of him-, lead “It’s a wonderful life” table reading, has been a reoccurring topic in articles associated with Holivia that always happens to mention his current project, and secured all other success deals; Jason’s now decided to do something for the benefit of his children?
He wasn’t concerned with what was best for his kids, when Holivia debuted? The “honeymoon” pap walk the next day? What about the sleepovers in that same week? He wasn’t thinking about the well-being of his kids when Holivia moved into their love nest and was constantly papped there?
Since Harry’s this “coke snorting, wild, incubus musician who’s “changing mommy into this unrecognizable person’”, why would Jason allow for his kids to be around and in that unstable environment the past year and a half?
This is Hollywood: Otis and Daisy could have witnessed horrors, such as sex parties, drug abuse, and even became direct victims of that themselves, as morals are lost in Hollywood people. They could have ingested drugs or alcohol that “Harry would had had lying around” or “even been assaulted by people ‘step daddy Harry’ allows in and out the house”.
*Research child stars/children of stars who’s revealed what really goes on and what they all experienced, then rejoin the discussion.*
Jason, the family man, didn’t consider all of this? He didn’t think it was worth the concern when Olivia called the paps to their summer camps? Or used them as props in pap walks? What about dragging them to SF on a school night? LOT ISNT a Frozen musical. The songs aren’t appropriate for young kids to be listening nor should they be in an environment where alcohol is flowing and people are giving drugs and behaving in ways that children should yet to see. There’s video footage of Otis being exhausted and fussy, as he didn’t want to be there. Jason didn’t take his son’s behavior, as the final straw?
Clearly, from Olivia’s own words, under oath, where she confirmed with actual docs that he and her were still living together, though it was reported otherwise in the tabloids, Jason didn’t express parental concerns by, as he allowed for her to live with him at SL.
In fact, things had to have been ideal for HER to ASK for HIM to be listed for protection. The stalker targeted her; not Jason. Yes Harry was mentioned in the notes, only just as “the new guy you’re seen dating in the press.”
Olivia asked for Jason to be protected and it was legally granted as, under California law, you can ask for an extension to be applied ONLY to those apart of your household. That’s why Harry couldn’t be listed.
Italy wasn’t enough for Jason “to be left with no choice?” Seeing pics and videos of “mommy on a yacht swapping spit with the monster who’s making her ‘happiest I’ve ever been” wasn’t the push Jason needed to be feed up with Holivia being circulated and do what’s best for the kids? Not even ALL the weekly pap walks? Or conveniently skipped quality times (holidays, birthdays, family time) that should had been spent with the kids? NONE of the last year’s content wasn’t enough cause for Jason to long involve himself in doing what’s best for the kids?
You have a deadline of 120 days before a case is dismissed to serve someone with custody papers. Jason would had had ample amount of time to have done so in the past 455 days since Hovlia’s inception. But now after Holivia has exhausted itself financially and business wise, Jason has chosen to be “left with no choice, but to take action and do what’s best for the kids?”
From everything, it seems that, not only Jason has participated in and profited from Holvia, he surely has enabled it by never once intervening to stop it from strengthening.
Only now with Holivia being forever immortalitized with its defenders, his career thriving as never before, the drama and content of Holivia not fazing anyone anymore, Harry not being able to even fake convincing, Olivia’s career as a director being at stake, DWD being a flop- with its cast and crew isolating themselves from it- Jason has decided to do swoop in like Superdad and do something that would surely deflect from the negativity and introduce a storyline that would replace the minimal press Holivia was receiving recently?
This is precisely why people are questioning his motives, and aren’t convinced as the facts aren’t aligning with logic and the last year’s behavioral pattern shown by him.
I said it hours before cinemacon happened, which also makes people suspicious of the coincidental timing, and will say it again; Jason’s smarter than Olivia, but they’re different sides of the same coin. That is WHY they lasted as long as they did. Especially, when she was running with Weinstein and others.
Jason has had literally any and every chance and material to “legally” stuff, mount, and have his guy friends come over to throw darts at Olivia nailed to the wall, in order to gain custody of the kids. Tracing as far back to her time with Weinstein, and the model who mentioned her name.
Yet, Jason, the good guy, never did.
It’s hypocritical in exposing and vilifying Olivia, without questioning Jason’s character.
You can’t argue that “SM means nothing” to discredit Hovlia; only to reverse that and use it to credit Jason as the “good dad” or “the one who loves the kids the most and don’t exploit them” based off of SM pics of him with the kids. Jason and Olivia were together for over a decade. He knew who she is. The public is just seeing her insanity amplified, as she’s never had fame (calls into question Jason’s fame before Holivia vs what it is now) like this before. Which is the direct result of the enablement from Harry, his team, fans, and Jason and his crowd.
As in regards to if the docs are truly about custody of the kids or just a convenient publicity stunt to replace Holivia and keep their names in the press- the factors are questionable.
Dateline wrote an article with no official confirmation, yet was officially sure that it was about that specific issue? Not a cease and desist for her to stop using the kids? Or a lawsuit from someone in her past?
Jason, now, is claiming that he didn’t know that she would be served the way it happened.
Sure he may have not known the way it happened, but he had to have known where it would happen. Unless the omniscient fans and paps have returned, Jason had to have been the one to provide Olivia’s schedule in order for the person to be so sure that they would find her there; as HE was the one who would have filed the complaint. If you aren’t the compliant, you aren’t dealing with the serving process. Google it.
Also, Cinemacon’s detail security saying that they don’t know how that person got is suspicious.
Deuxmerde did initially reveal something that I agreed with (Holivia has reproduced a lot of freaky shit) only to amend it to fit her narrative. If Jason wanted to embarrass Olivia for the hurt and humiliation she’s afflicted on him and the kids, why not do it in a public setting where she’d be defenseless and “around the crowd she neglecting her kids for”: ie Coachella.
It would had been believable as:
1) EVERYBODY knew that she was there.
2) It was a public festival where questions of security wouldn’t be scrutinized.
3) It would had not only “got her ass” and embarrassed her, but also Harry as she was at his concert and with him. If Holivia (the brand, not two people) is truly the villain and responsible for Olivia’s parental neglect, why didn’t Jason emphasize that she was at Coachella to his lawyers who handled and communicated with the server? That would had definitely“nailed Olivia and the monster, whose responsible for destroying his family and ruining his kids lives, to the wall” as well effectively ruin their reputations and embarrass them for the “embarrassment” they’ve showed him. Maybe that didn’t happened as he didn’t want to overshadow and intervene with whatever content Holivia was creating that, Jason would later on profit from as he always. Not much but something.
How strange it was that she was served at an event where the “monster who’s planting his flag in her every night and has morphed her into someone who the kids don’t recognize” wasn’t there? Nor was any of the cast and crew. Seems like everyone knew something was happening… but how? If Jason hates Harry and Harry supports Olivia as their narratives claim, why has never the two men/opposing team never had their stories and the press around them overlap or overshadow each other? If none of this wasn’t planned or calculated, then why was Harry not present at CinemaCon though he, as a lead, should had been. It’s almost like the attention of Harry’s at Cinemacon would had minimized the attention Jason is presently recieving, as Olivia being served at Coachella would had overshadowed the attention that Harry was receiving.
Also, isn’t Ted Lasso’s final season premiering at the end of 2022? Strange how DWD premieres in September, only for Ted Lasso’s new/final season to premiere shortly thereafter.
And now, in the meantime to each project debut, we have both project’s leading person captivating the public’s attention on an issue that’s focused on the theme/importance of family…

it’s been *checks calendar* five weeks since my last damages crossover breakdown but I am back/still on my bullshit, same song, same verse, different fandom but a whole lot worse, etc!!! (absolutely no idea how I made it a month in the succession rabbit hole before this occurred to me honestly)
ANYWAY, Succession/Damages crossover, Patty Hewes vs. Waystar.
Post s2, Patty tracks down a handful of victims from the cruises and convinces them to file a civil suit against Waystar. She ropes Kendall into it. He is terrified but also in awe of her, she loathes him with every fiber of her being but plays him like a fiddle.
Let’s say this is set during s2-ish of Damages? Ellen still works with Patty but it’s post assassination attempt, so basically it’s them at their messiest. Anyway, Ellen is trying to play both Patty and Kendall and is trying to bring down both Patty and Waystar and it’s all very sexy.
So Logan despises Patty with the misogyny of a thousand white male billionaires and Brian Cox and Glenn Close get imaginary Emmys delivered to their doorsteps just from me imagining them in a scene together where Logan is basically foaming at the mouth but at least starts off pretending to be cooperative until Patty makes some charmingly condescending comment and then he storms out/breaks things/loses his goddamn mind at her while she just gives him a crocodile smile.
Gerri and Patty know each other - the club of super high powered female attorneys based in NYC is not a very large one - and don’t particularly like each other. Patty’s probably been sniffing around Waystar for years, and when Gerri finds out about the civil suit she goes home and drinks like five martinis in 30 minutes and considers moving to Bermuda.
Seriously though, Gerri “I don’t like mess” Kellman who at least pretends to play by the rules vs. Patty “I tried to kill my protégé to cover up my mess that involved at least one dead person and a dead dog but she survived and now she’s working for me again even though she knows I tried to have her murdered” Hewes??? In a situation where Patty is determined to not just win but to personally destroy Logan Roy, his empire, his legacy, and wipe him and his entire family clean of their fortune? Yeah, Gerri’s gonna have to get dirty or get out, and honestly I could see it going either way bc I think she values saving her own skin > winning, unlike Patty, but if Patty could take her down too, she might not have a choice but to get on her level.
Shiv is a disaster. She’s loyal to her dad but she also has always admired Patty, and they actually have a lot in common in that they sort of pretend to care about other people and in Shiv’s case she actually does think she has the moral high ground most of the time, I think? But they’re also self-serving and desperate to win. So Patty would be working the hell out of Shiv, and would probably enlist Ellen in that, too. Shiv would try to play both Logan and Patty and it would end very, very badly.
Patty would consider trying to turn Tom, but would decide against it because she wants to humiliate him and take him down, too. She does sic Ellen on Greg, who doesn’t exactly mean to end up on Team Patty but by the time he realizes how thoroughly he’s been played and how much essential info he’s given her he doesn’t really have a choice but to stick with her bc the Roys would kill him.
Kendall, of course, would start out all self-righteous and Patty would let him think that he’s the crusader here, etc., but that would only play out for so long. At some point he’d probably turn to Gerri or Frank (not Logan) when she casts him aside and he realizes how contemptible she really finds him and give them insight into how underhanded her methods are.
Roman - idk man, he’d be loyal to Logan and Gerri but he’d also probably have to excuse himself from a deposition or three to jerk off after watching Patty and Gerri in action against each other.
Ellen and Willa went to school together, bc why not? So Connor tries to make nice by inviting Ellen over for dinner and they have a very fucking awkward evening together in which it becomes clear to Connor that a) his family’s fucked, and b) Willa might be rooting for Ellen.
At some point Waystar tries to settle (Gerri, Frank, Karl, and pretty much everyone threatens to quit if Logan doesn’t make the offer) but a la Frobisher in season one, Patty is like LOL NO, so idk how it plays out past that...I kind of feel like Ellen and Shiv definitely will sleep together at one point only for Shiv to try - and fail - to stab Ellen in the back; Patty gets blackmail material of some sort over Roman and Gerri’s dynamic (she bugs their phones or sets people on their apartments or something) and that’s, uh, Not Good, and she probably also digs up the details on the waiter in England; in response, Gerri starts poking around Ray Fisk’s death and also begins trying to work Ellen, because she can tell that Ellen has an agenda of her own and might not be entirely opposed to bringing Patty down herself (reader’s choice if that works); Logan probably has a heart attack or another stroke at some point and Patty sends him a giant bouquet of flowers and he might actually die at that point; in the end it probably comes down to Gerri and Roman as the functional defense against Patty, with Ellen as a wild card (she’s telling Patty that she’s playing Team Waystar and Patty doesn’t believe it but thinks she can manipulate Ellen to her advantage anyway; Gerri and Roman don’t totally believe that Ellen only cares about bringing Patty down, not Waystar, but they also think they can use her against Patty; basically no one trusts anyone); Logan, Kendall, and Shiv are all furious but are making everything worse; Tom kidnaps Greg and they flee to Thailand and tbh they’re probably the only ones who get a happy ending.
Did I develop this entire concept because I actually short-circuited at the idea of Patty vs. Gerri? YOU BET I DID, honestly that’s the only part of this entire thing that matters the rest is just lagniappe!!!

If you had to rewrite Adam in canon, what would you do?
Is this question a rite of passage for rwde blogs? I feel like I see it a lot.
This turned out more as a ramble-ridden Beacon arc rewrite than anything but I guess that's just how my brain wanted to treat this question.
It's also been a minute since I watched the first three volumes, so if the order of events is inconsistent, that's why and it's definitely not intentional.
Diving right in: I'd keep his history as a child slave. I'd keep the branding. I'd even keep the toxic relationship he had with Blake and the emotional manipulation he used to keep her in the Fang after she was uncomfortable. Like in canon, immediately after Blake leaves, he dismisses her to focus on the Fang, only for Cinder and co. to force him into service solely to take down Beacon. That's pretty much as far as maintaining canon goes.
In this rewrite, he would chafe at Cinder's gun to his head the entire time and make it lowkey clear to the members of his branch that, if they want out, they should get out. Cinder of course isn't thrilled about this but he basically tells her to pound sand since he can't keep track of every single member of his division, I mean, what does she expect of him? Omniscience?
In the process of scouting out Beacon and making battle plans, Adam learns of Blake's presence there. This stirs up a lot in him - she was his best student, after all, and they were close - and he's questioning his own feelings about her getting caught up in this. Like at first he's a little vindicated, but then he stops and reevaluates because...that's petty. That's not what he as a branch leader should be focusing on given how shit his current situation is. Maybe she could even help end this hostage situation...somehow...not that she wants anything to do with him.
Around this time a bunch of WF members talk to him in secret about their fears for what will happen to their friends/family in Vale once Beacon falls. Adam can't reveal Cinder's plans without Cinder nuking his branch from existence (since Adam can't be everywhere to protect his people and his people are now very spread out), so with this group he makes contingency plans, sets up and sets aside evacuation routes and craft. In the confusion of that final attack, Cinder won't be able to stop his branch from turning on her and helping innocent faunus get out of harm's way without risking her actual objective.
And at this point he can't delude himself into thinking that this is only his problem to deal with anymore; there's too much at stake. He contacts Sienna and tells her what's going on, she agrees to help get faunus, WF or otherwise, away from Vale. They also set up a plan to have WF reinforcements from other branches arrive in Vale during Beacon's fall to provide additional security and protection for the faunus who might get stuck in the city. It's not like the huntsman will prioritize them, after all.
Blake challenges the WF she encounters on following the orders of a human, they make it pretty clear they don't want to be doing it, which just makes her more determined to figure out what the hell is going on. She debates trying to contact Adam but gives up when a combo of the fact that she doesn't have a way to contact him and Yang's demand for her to rely on her team breaking her stubborn streak.
Mountain Glenn up to the Vytal festival proceeds more or less as canon, though the WF members who aren't in Torchwick's line of sight are suspiciously willing to stay down after the first hit in a fight - all except for those who go after Weiss.
So Penny dies, Vale is in chaos, and Adam conveniently planned to have himself on one of the ships landing at Beacon. And oh, how tragic that so many of the WF ships that were supposed to ferry grimm to the school and to the Vytal arena seem to be crashing, what a shame that only the pilots know how to use parachutes, truly unfortunate. Once things get going the WF abruptly switches sides and starts mowing down grimm.
Adam tracks Blake down, she thinks he's there for revenge, he takes a hot second to clarify the situation (and make it clear that he doesn't forgive her for leaving but there are bigger fish right now) and tells her to get the word out of what's going on, mobilize a force to help the faunus, something. She's a huntress-in-training, after all, surely she has some kind of reach at Beacon.
So now Blake knows about Cinder and she knows that Cinder wants something at Beacon (which Adam surmised over the months of scheming. Cinder put up the pretense of just wanting to take down the school but she was very insistent that Adam not just plant explosives and call it a day). Yang shows up, Blake calls Ozpin to tell him everything (at which point Ozpin contacts Ironwood to tell him that the WF are not their enemies), and then she, Yang, and Adam all agree to go down into Vale and help with the evacuations. Blake and Yang convince Adam to let humans into the ships too because do they really have the time to waste sifting through all of the panicking people and picking out the faunus? People are dying and they have the space.
So they do that for a minute until the grimm dragon thing shows up, a scout on a rooftop yells for Adam and they scramble to the roof to get a better look. Seeing the dragon, Adam orders the scout to get to the ships, they're pulling out. Most of the people have already been evacuated thanks to Sienna's reinforcements and none of them want to tangle with that thing blotting out the moon.
They see Ruby's silver eye flash from where they're standing, Yang and Blake's scrolls buzz with notifications that Ruby's aura has just dropped into the red, and Yang is hotwiring a bike and Adam eyes a Blake torn between her own team and helping the faunus for a moment before saying, "Go, I'll handle things here." (and hey, that's him finally making peace with Blake leaving back on the train)
So Blake goes with Yang back to Beacon, Adam sees to the last of the evacuations, and Beacon falls.
That's the basic idea. Adam and Blake aren't strictly enemies but they're not allies either. Adam and the WF as a whole are on guard against Cinder and might just be interested in thwarting further plans by her in retaliation for using the WF the way she did.
#anon#unofficial adam answers#blake belladonna#adam taurus#rwde#tw slavery#if i was a go-getter i would write this as a proper story but i'm only human#we maintain the idea of you can be an asshole but still do good and have good motivations#and we also add a sliver of nuance into team ruwubee beating up an in-universe minority#blake spends a week at yang's house where they bond before the guilt makes her go to menagerie#like her parents would've heard about beacon falling and the WF's role in it by now#she wants to go and clarify and maybe even mend things#so they can go back to something resembling how happy Yang's family is#but this time she makes her plans clear to everyone and team RWBY actually goes as a group#so we get a) development of bumblebee#b) development for Weiss#c) development for Blake#ruby would get development later#i have more thoughts for how things would progress but this is enough for now

Just finished watching the rest of the episodes. Obviously, there will be spoilers for all of the bonus episodes, including Here's Negan. Here's my thoughts. WARNING for some negativity:
Home Sweet Home:
Kind of a blah episode. Half of it seemed to be a 'walking in the woods simulator'. Don't have any eagerness for another rival group. I'm sick of the people vs people storylines. We should go back to basics for a while, just fighting the dead. This is just recycling the same storylines.
Enjoyed Maggie and Daryl's chat in the container (though I just know it ignited crack shippers). Was it just me or was Lauren Cohan's accent weird? Like, is it because she's been away from the show that she can't remember how to do it the way she used to? It just sounded off the whole time to me, like she was trying to sound more country than Maggie has in the past.
Liked Daryl seeing Hershel, though I wish the scene had been longer. It looks like we're continuing the trend of having 'legacy' kids around without giving them a personality like they do with RJ.
Liked Daryl and Kelly's interactions in this episode. It did annoy me how they wrote Kelly running off on her own in the woods. Like, you guys literally wrote her getting lost and losing her hearing not even a handful of episodes ago. Why would she risk doing that, knowing there was a chance it could happen again? Sure she wants to find her sister, but I don't think anyone in the group--Daryl especially--would have opposed to going with her. Annoying writing again.
By the way, I can't not point out that the spoilers for this were so anti-Carol. The way it sounded through spoilers made it sound as if Maggie was pissed at Carol for letting Negan out when it was clear that she understood Carol's decision (she was just irritated that Negan was out at all).
Find Me:
I won't go into a full rant about this episode. You can find that on my page. I'll just discuss a few things.
First of all, I really liked the banter between Caryl at the start. It was the kind of content we've been wanting for a while.
We probably all saw it this way but Leah was a Carol replacement. No doubt about it. Carol was 'happy' so Daryl tried to move on with the next best thing (well, according to him at least).
Shipping aside, the relationship and build up to it between Daryl and Leah was so bland and generic. The woman literally seemed to have no personality apart from 'I live in the woods and I lost my son'. I actually rolled my eyes when she started explaining about not having a good family growing up. It was like watching Mary Sue fanfic play out on screen.
I don't want to rant too much but I have to say again, you can't just have a relationship blossom that generically with a character who has clearly struggled with intimacy for a good chunk of his life. It was literally inserting Daryl into the plot of any other cheesy boy meets girl romance. If you are going to do something like this, you need to do it realistically. There should have been more of a struggle there for Daryl. For pete's sake, Daryl's love life (or lack thereof) has been a point of discussion for so many years. You can't just rewrite that lore with some half assed meet-cute storyline.
Oh and I can't forget to say another big fuck you to the end of this episode. Seriously, fuck the shit Daryl spouted at Carol. That shit would have worked for S2 Daryl but not this one.
Okay I'll stop myself there or I'll just keep going. Seriously, I don't think I'll run out of things to bitch about for this episode.
One more:
This episode was okay. I'm not a fan of Gabriel, so I didn't really enjoy the focus being on him. I do like Aaron though, so that was a saving point.
No offense if you're a Gabriel fan but I found this episode kind of pointless. The message was relevant of course but the whole thing seemed a bit hoky to me. Especially the whole 'talking at the bad guy until they have a change of heart'. I can see that this was an important turning point for Gabriel but honestly, I just don't care enough about his character to appreciate it. Felt bad for Aaron though. You can tell he's trying so hard to hold onto humanity.
Splinter:
Probably gonna upset people with this but I'm not really a Princess fan (though Paola Lazaro is great). The episode had an interesting concept and I know it was to try to set up for the Commonwealth or the CRM etc. I just found the way they went about it to be too dragged out without much substance. Even the twist with finding out that the others were figments of her imagination didn't save it for me. I like the concept of seeing things through Princess' mindset and it could have worked well but we just didn't really get any storyline there. I think the only thing I enjoyed was when she talked about her family (she should chat to Daryl. There would certainly be some common ground). Gotta admit though, Ezekiel and his Walker posse was kind of hilarious.
Diverged:
Loved it for the most part. Who knew we needed Carol vs a rat? I certainly didn't but I'm glad I got it. Also Carol smashing that wall to pieces was so badass and kind of hot. Anyone else feel like that? No? Okay...
I enjoyed the comedic moments in this episode. Loved Carol hanging out with Dog and Dog being a menace. Appreciated seeing more of Daryl's room (Why did he have a pirate book though? There had to be a point, right? WAIT, I just realised as I was typing this what it is. It's a reference to when Carol invited him to go out on the boat with her and they would be 'pirates' 😢)
Daryl certainly got a collection of multitools, didn't he? Seriously though, that scene where he was just walking away from the walkers was hilarious. It's literally what people have been saying for years--that the walkers are too slow.
Okay, now let's get to the bad parts I didn't like. Hated the start. They were so stilted and awkward and the fact that Daryl didn't apologize pissed me off. I don't care what Carol said, she didn't deserve any of that shit he said in Find Me. He knows better than anyone why she has done what she has done.
This storyline they seem to be running with for Carol is starting to piss me off. It's obvious they're trying to go for a redemption arc for her when she shouldn't need to be redeemed. She didn't do anything wrong. Yes, she made mistakes but think about how you would be if you had lost so much.
Maggie is being lorded as a hero but remember, she behaved pretty much the same as Carol did in S7,8,9. But no one labelled her as a villain or a nuisance. No, Maggie was strong and a leader for stepping up and making a stand.
I'm really dreading the last season. It's obvious they're planning for Daryl and Carol's rift in their relationship to be a main arc. We probably won't see them reconcile until the end of the season where Daryl'll be like 'Alright, I don't hate you anymore, let's go to New Mexico.' That will annoy the shit out of me.
Here's Negan:
Mixed feelings about this one. I enjoyed seeing Negans backstory. Also props to the makeup team. They did a great job making JDM look younger. The thing I didn't like was the flashbacks within flashbacks. It made it hard to follow at times. Still, JDM and Hilary Burton Morgan had great onscreen chemistry (which they should, of course). I was surprised to see Laura pop up. I never thought she would have been one of the first Saviours.
Can't not mention how good Carol's hair looked in this episode. Please let us have this wig more often. It's so cute compared to the other frizzy one.
Also, I really don't give a shit about the drama between Maggie and Negan. There can't be a peaceful solution to it. There's no way Maggie will ever be okay with Negan being alive. Carol's right. If he stays, Maggie will (try) to kill him. If they have them come to an understanding next season, it will be super out of character. Same as when they kept pushing the Daryl/Negan team up. No way, no how, can either Maggie or Daryl look past what happened to Glenn.
Well, there are my thoughts on the episodes. I seriously battled against my anxiety to even sit and watch these. I was dreading watching Find Me especially for obvious reasons. It was awful but not as bad as I expected. I still wanted to throw my laptop out the window though.

🤔 💭 and this is not a question but I gotta say, I love your writing, hope you are doing great!
hey sgtapepper !! i’m really glad you enjoy my writing and, besides the fact school will start up for me in a few weeks, i’m doing great :)
as for your questions:
🤔 What is the hardest part of writing fic?
everything !! the hardest part about writing a fanfic is honestly writing all the parts, ufeel me?
the way i go about my writing process is i basically film a little movie in my head, full of camera angles and all that other good stuff, then i try my best to transcribe everything which you guys then read. the hardest part really is just the writing part which sucks because that’s literally the only thing you need to do to write fanfic.
💭 What is a headcanon you have about your own work?
hmm i don’t really know how to reply to this question to be honest. i feel like the way i write doesn’t really give much room for headcanons since i use so many hyphens to ‘talk to the audience’ essentially and give some expository throughout the fanfic. though, maybe i could use this to explain my blueprints for how i model the whole storyline and experiences of the ‘you’ character?
‘you’
in the early fics, met during the prison (recruited by him or by glenn), but now i favour the meeting setting being the greene farm (you got stumbled across during his search for sophia)
has been with groups before meeting team family but none have stuck
was still relatively naïve about stuff about the apocalypse (esp on the more physical/violent side) before meeting daryl and then voluntarily approached him to learn about stuff, making him confused because ‘why tf is this person talking to me??’
not much younger than daryl, 1-7 years probably just because i’m personally not that big of a fan between huge age gaps. i don’t have a problem with them, especially if both characters get together when they have similar life experiences (i don’t mind connie x daryl because, though their age gap is probably a decade, connie is ~35-40 and daryl is ~50), but i have a problem when it’s morally reprehensible like *coughbethylcough*
after the prison, met up again sometime before terminus or during terminus (there’s some leeway there - maybe you were with rick, michonne and carl, stumbled across them after the claimers confrontation by yourself, maybe you were with maggie - whatever drives the plot forward). because beth had such an impact on him, i wouldn’t want to erase that from his character
went to grady, but went with rick for the hostage stuff
after getting to alexandria, was probably assigned to work at the infirmary, but after carol recognizes pete’s abuse, you opt for runs instead until he gets murked
as for daryl
bestie can juggle !! nothing as advanced as knives or anything, but he can do three apples and maybe four beanbags if you let him practice a bit beforehand
naturally doesn’t need a lot of sleep, but also takes a really short nap at least once a week
tries to give himself stitches/hides wounds he thinks he can take care of himself so he doesn’t use resources or have to confess to you how he got them
didn’t have a cell, instead took one of the admin rooms in the prison (like where guards would stand to watch over prisoners and click clack away on computers)
probably was religious at one point (only to the extent of going to church on sunday), but fell out of religion really really young
was good at school but because of his brother’s reputation and bad home life, he was never given the resources to actually end up pursuing anything academically and probably has a sort of inferiority complex if the topic of undergrad comes up
he can draw !! picked up the skill when he was a kid but hid it because merle thought it was lame or would give him shit for it. still does it, too - on pieces of scrap paper, in the dirt if he goes out to hunt and feels bored - and if he’s pining really hard and can spare the resources (which he usually can’t), he’ll draw them
stick and pokes his own tattoos (that BBH skull hello??)
doesn’t shower much because of childhood trauma (dunked into cold water, not being able to breathe as one of his parents washes his hair because they kept his head dunked in) and even as an adult, he’s shower adversed because he has to touch his scars
doesn’t take off his shoes in his house which !! take off your shoes !! you’re in the house !! outdoor shoes don’t belong on indoor floors !!
lives alone in a smaller house since nobody wanted to room with him, carol lives with tobin, you and tara already had a deal, and a bunch of people died when he was redirecting the heard so there were a bunch of houses that were vacant
also lives in the basement because he enjoys the shade and the coolness in the mornings when he wakes up
rips off his own sleeves (but only has a few of them) and gives his sleeves to carol
i also enjoy the bisexual daryl headcanon !!

10c trailer breakdown
Alright so I have thoughts after watching the trailer and of course since no one asked, I’m gonna put it out there for y’all. Lol. It seems like they’re leaning heavily towards flashbacks and character’s pasts in every episode. Everything also seems to have the ominous cloud of Negan driving team family’s motives, both currently and in the past.
Zeke/Yumiko/Princess/Eugene: Well, they’re right where we left them. Being detained by the stormtroopers of the Commonwealth and as most suspected we’re getting a bunch of separate interrogations (probably due to the pandemic protocol that was in place). Also makes sense no knowing EM wasn’t around for filming so all her “scenes” will be far away double scenes. The interesting part in this is they’re playing it off from Princess’s POV, the newest character in the group, and how it effects her and drags up issues from her past.
Aaron/Gabe: Why can’t they just let Aaron have nice things?! Does he have to be tied up or held at gunpoint every couple episodes?! Geesh. Sorry, just needed to get that out. Last we left both of them, they had been coming to terms with aspects of who they are/what they believe. Aaron not wanting to be the happy Golden anymore and we all know how stabby Gabe was in 10b ... This boys weekend gets cut short by what I think are remaining whisperers and/or another random group that manages to get a hold of them and make them reconsider their life choice ... yada yada yada. We’ve seen this arc before.
Negan/Maggie: I’m lumping them together because they’re stories basically rely upon each other as well as there are much more important things I want to get to. Sorry, not sorry. Maggie looks to have scenes with everyone, talking about one thing and one thing only. Negan. Was there really any doubt as to why she hadn’t come back earlier? Yes we get some Hershel Jr content but they’ve not expanded her storyline in how many years/seasons which feels a little old and stagnant to me. Now Negan is in the same boat. He has scenes with almost everyone, talking about the same stuff - I’m better now. Judith likes me so now everyone has to. =/ However they are giving him more depth in the Negan episode where he looks to be hallucinating himself, reliving better times when his wife was saving his ass and battling cancer, and telling himself the story of how the ZA made him the big bad he never wanted to be (please read the heavy notes of sarcasm). Truthfully, I do find his episode to sound intriguing but I also have other reasons behind that we won’t get into now.
Caryl: THE THING I’VE BEEN WAITING TO GET TO!!!! So this is gonna be in point form because there’s just too much going on in my brain and warning now, there will be a lot of rambling because, well, I can.
CARYL ON THE BIKE!!! Angela knows exactly what Carylers want to see and continues to feed us regularly.
The “Negan issue” looks to be what they’re going with to start the argument between them. Toss in some time/convos with Maggie and Daryl’s being pulled in both directions. His natural instinct to protect Carol, which we saw in the table read when Maggie brings up her letting Negan out, and his hatred for the asshole himself.
I feel like the last part also ties into his guilt over Glenn still, especially with Glenn’s kid running around again.
We’re getting flashback content from when Carol visited Daryl out in the woods, else something we’ve been dying for.
Leah ... I don’t know what to make of her. She could just be a nice person with a dog that dies and Daryl feels bad so he takes Dog and we get puppy Dog/Caryl scenes the world deserves, or she could be cray cray. Need more info to decide but the only part I see her playing is having Daryl think about why he’s truly still out in the woods alone.
Daryl yelling at the world by what looks like the blown up bridge. Carol tearing down a wall with her bear hands in the dark, abandoned building she’s found once again. Yeah, they really do well apart.
I know these eps aren’t supposed to affect season 11 but AK can we please get something else for my girl besides hating herself and waiting for the end to come?
I’d also like Caryl to talk about what happened on the cliff in 10.16. Thank you.
Basically we’ve got a ton of introspection coming and I’m excited. There are so many Caryl questions left unanswered from Daryl’s woods years as well as things they NEVER talked about and really need to before they explode.
I wish they’d shown us more but I get why they didn’t. Kang keeps her ship tight. I trust her. I’m ready for the incoming wave of angst that coming because it’s gonna make things better for Caryl in the long run. Shit has to be brought into the light.

U N P L A N N E D, part four
Knowing what Harry wanted was a relief. It made you sleep better, even that first night after you drove home and reported back to Lexi over dinner.
Sure--the stakes were now higher in a sense, right? You were going through with it. Something about that felt completely surreal and still somehow impossible, but deep inside of you, buried beneath the fear and the doubt, was a tiny speck of hope. And it was decidedly apple-seed shaped.
When you were five or six, you insisted on pushing your dolls around in a carriage, so much so that you refused one day to go to kindergarten without them. Your mother had you all buckled in the car, your doll beside you and the toy-sized stroller folded in the trunk.
It had always been something you wanted, something you saw in your future--but you’d always thought that it would be in a different order. In fleeting moments, when you made your peace with that, the hope managed to fight it’s way through all of the other feelings, letting you know that it was there and real and maybe things would work out okay.
The reality was this: you were pregnant. You’d decided that you were going to have the baby. Harry seemed involved enough at this stage, and frankly, you were fine enough for now to just push any other thought out of your head.
Where would you live? Where would he live? How often would he see the baby? Would you even have full custody or were you making a terrible assumption? Would he be on tour when you went into labor?
There were a thousand questions that tried to keep you up at night, but apparently growing a human took enough out of you that you fell asleep easily these days. And Harry had warned you it was coming--a quick text to give you a heads up.
310-324-9090 (8:24am): Spoke with Jeff some more last night after I got home. He thinks it’s best if we have a meeting with some of my team. Can you call me later and I’ll give you some details?
You did as he asked--stepped out on your lunch break and spoke to him in the courtyard, careful to keep your voice quiet.
It wasn’t that people at work were nosy--it was more that a random Facebook employee getting knocked up by a famous musician was sure to be a good headline that someone would be killing to write if they got wind. So for now, you tried your best to speak in code.
“They want to have a meeting. Just to talk about some logistics and privacy things and whatnot.” He made it sound so casual.
“The logistics of the current situation?”
He sounded a bit confused. “Of you being pregnant with my baby--yes.”
“This feels like something I would need a lawyer for.”
“You don’t need a lawyer.”
“Aren’t you the opposing side? Isn’t this going to become some weird negotiation around what I can and can’t do with your--you know.”
“I don’t know…”
“Your baby,” you whispered the word quietly, a hand over your mouth to be safe. “Who is mine, too, by the way.”
“Y/N--this is just a meeting, okay? There’s a few things for you to sign--basically just saying that you’re not going to sue me or try to blackmail me.”
Glenne had mentioned that. She threw back another margarita that night in your kitchen and said you’d have to sign an NDA. It’s just something a bunch of people sign, confidentiality, basically. You’ll be fine.
It made sense. Jeff wanted to be sure you wouldn’t sell your story or try to cash in on the undoubtedly pricey offspring you were producing--that’s what Lexi had joked about. Can you imagine how much someone would pay for his baby?
You reminded her that it was yours, too. She threw her head back and laughed, yeah, but his DNA would make it more expensive--like a purebred.
And this was the easy phase, after all--that’s what your mom had told you on the phone when you told her you’d be keeping it. Things were still normal. You weren’t showing, you had no symptoms. Other than the apple-seed growth in your uterus, everything was still completely normal. For now.
You agreed to meet Harry on Saturday afternoon--some office building in Westwood that felt eerily empty on the weekend. Hallways that all looked the same, meeting rooms and conference tables stared back at you.
He’d met you in the lobby, offered a quick hug when you walked in from the fresh air. He took you up in an elevator, fourth floor, second room down on the left.
Jeff was inside with a few others, a small smile when you walked in behind Harry, clad in a graphic tee.
“Hey,” he said, standing and rounding the table to give you a hug. “How are you feeling?”
You could hear the guilt that laced his voice. “Good--I’m fine.”
“I’m, uh--I’m sorry about the other night. I was just--you know, kind of freaked.”
Harry let out a quick laugh, sarcasm threaded through his words. “We were doing totally fine--not freaked out at all.”
Jeff rolled his eyes, sat back down and introduced you to the other faces in the room. Lola, Harry’s publicist, John, a PR guy from his label, Dave, a lawyer. His assistant, Emma, a small smile on her face when you made eye contact.
You turned to Harry quickly--he sat on the other side of the table beside Jeff, fumbled with the top of his water bottle. He said you didn’t need a lawyer--but for some reason, he had one.
That’s when the anxiety kicked in--the swirling questions of what they all thought. They offered smiles when Jeff began talking and you did your best to wipe the sweat from your hands every few seconds on your pants.
“So--obviously, this is big news for everyone here--uh, we wanted to have this meeting, really, to just get a few things agreed upon.”
You nodded, watched Harry for a second until he looked at you.
Dave spoke now--black rimmed glasses sat atop his nose. You wondered what his life was like. A lawyer for top musicians? He probably drove a Tesla, too.“We have to have you sign something, Y/N--just saying that you won’t discuss any of this with the press. It includes no social media posting, no interviews, limited disclosure to friends and family.”
Another nod--that was a given, and it seemed to be for your own protection, too. Lexi had brought it up first. What happens when people find out he’s the father?
“We don’t expect you to hide the pregnancy altogether--to be clear. But for now, the parentage needs to be confidential.”
“Okay,” you said. “But not like, with everyone, right?” Maybe it was a dumb question. “I already told my mom.”
“No--your mom is fine.” Harry answered the question for them, which is when you realized that you were the only one on your side of the table. They sat in a line, the five of them elbow to elbow, their team and against yours.
The only problem was that right now, no one was on your team.
“How much did you tell her?” Dave’s head tilted like you’d said the wrong thing.
“Just a little--she knows it’s his,” your eyes went back up to Harry’s now. He held your gaze for a minute, looked over to Dave and cleared his throat.
“That’s fine,” Harry said.
The look on Dave’s face told you otherwise. “We need to keep the number of people who know to a minimum.”
“Well I certainly don’t expect her to not tell her mother,” Harry retorted, anger more present in his voice than before. You shrunk in your chair, feeling incredibly isolated as they sat across from you.
“Who does know?” Jeff leaned in, hoping to ease the tension between Harry and Dave--a welcome distraction when he looked towards you.
“Aside from people in this room, my mom, Lexi, Glenne--and my doctor, but, I think she’ll be fine.”
Dave started writing on the notepad in front of him. “I can draw up non-disclosures for them, too.”
Emma sipped at her water--you peered past her out the window. It was sunny--a good day for anything but this.
“So--we can move to the financial aspect,” Dave put his pen down and thumbed through some papers. “I know this is always the worst part, but--has to be done.”
You looked around the room, still feeling a step behind the others, confused. You watched as Harry twisted his hands together, stared down at them on the table. It felt like no one even wanted to make eye contact with you, like you were somehow wearing a scarlet letter.
“This agreement details the child support he’ll pay. Monthly until the child turns eighteen. Visiting rights, partial custody if he so chooses. If you sign, it means you agree to the terms and conditions and will hereby agree to share custody, barring any legal changes, of course. Anything you don’t agree to will be settled in arbitration, along with any changes to the agreements set forth here.”
He pushed a packet across the table, the paper was crisp and thick, stapled in the top left corner.
You looked up at him. “Do I get time to read it over?”
“Of course,” Jeff spoke quickly. “We’ll need it either way by Monday.
You tried not to roll your eyes. A whole two days. You swallowed, nodded, ignored the pen that Dave flipped over in his hand, apparently hoping you’d agree to sign now.
“We also have this,” he said, lifting another packet of papers from the stack in front of him. “We’d like a paternity test. This can be completed after seven weeks gestation. The previous agreements and contracts will become null and void if the paternity test proves Mr. Styles is not the father. That’s all detailed in here, though.”
There was a heat on your cheeks, one that felt like it threatened to bring tears. You stared down at the paper already in front of you, words like custodial and proprietary suddenly left your mouth feeling dry.
You didn’t have a chance to respond, Dave slid more papers towards you, this time the pen came with them. “We need you to sign the agreement to DNA testing for paternity confirmation and the basic non-disclosure today.”
You looked up at Harry--he watched as Dave fumbled through more papers, seeing if there was another dotted line for you to put your name on. Jeff stared at the glass of water in front of him, avoiding your gaze like you weren’t his friend, someone who came to his birthday parties or texted memes to his girlfriend.
“I need a minute,” you said, voice hoarse and unsteady. You pushed back from the table, turned and headed for the door without a response from anyone in the room.
“You can have time with the other documents, it’s just the paternity testing we need signed,” Dave’s voice faded when you got to the hallway, you counted the stripes on the carpet as you put more distance between you and your side of the conference table. The hallways were a maze, more rooms and tables and rolling office chairs that didn’t help calm your nerves.
There were footsteps behind yours--Harry’s, no doubt--but you kept moving, the end of the hallway was in sight, a door to a balcony, fresh air, a moment to breathe.
He was right behind you when you pushed it open, the cool metal of the door was prickly on your skin, hot and flushed. You squinted in the sun, he was quiet for a moment, the door shut.
“M’sorry,” he said after a second. You looked down at the cars that were parked on the streets below, people on sidewalks, a breeze from the ocean. “We have to do that--they’d never just believe it was mine without the actual proof.”
You turned around to face him. “Feels kind of shitty, though. They’ll think I’m lying until I can prove that I’m not.”
He rolled his eyes a bit. “Well people lie, Y/N! You might not be crazy but people out there are--so we have to just, I don’t know, they have to take precautions.”
“This isn’t just happening to you, Harry! I know that’s all that they care about--all that Jeff cares about right now--but this is happening to me, too! This is changing my life, too. You’re not the only one with a career and a family and a life.”
“I know!” He said, looking up to the sky as if it were the hundredth time you said it. “I know it is--I’m doing the best I can, okay? I need to know for sure that it’s mine, too, okay? I trust you, I do--but I have to know for sure.”
“Right--cause somehow this is my fault and it all falls on me at the end of the day, right?”
“I never said that,” he said, more hushed now.
“Well, this is on you, too. You’re the father and if I have to take a fucking paternity test I will but--you’re the only person I’ve slept with in the last, like, year.”
His eyes went a bit wide at that--you let out an annoyed laugh and turned back to the view, wishing you were home, beneath the tree in your mom’s backyard in Santa Paula. A good book and a sense of calm, something that felt all too fleeting these days.
“Really?”
“Really.”
You tried to ignore the smirk on his face, crossed your arms over your chest when you turned back to see him again. “So--there’s literally no chance it’s anyone else’s.”
He nodded, the corner of his mouth still lifted toward the sky.
“What? What are you smiling for?”
“Dunno,” he laughed a little. “Just--I kind of thought you left that night because you were seeing someone or something like that.”
“What? No--I haven’t--I had a boyfriend a while ago but we broke up.”
“I know.”
“You know?”
He shrugged, dropped your gaze for a moment. “Well, when I met you in the fall at that dinner--I don’t know, I asked Glenne about you and she said you were kind of,” he glanced back up at you, “unavailable. Or, you were dealing with something. So I figured when you left and never called it just--had to do with him.”
You thought back to that first night in October, long before the sex and the sneaking out. Sushi and drinks and butterflies when he walked in to the restaurant. You always knew that they knew him--heard his name and heard his songs on the radio. You’d seen him from afar once, a party at Jeff’s old house, you were on your way out when he strolled in, sometime in 2017, hugging other people and shaking hands with beautiful women. You never even thought he noticed you until you found yourself drunk on his couch two years later.
You knew why Glenne said it. You’d ended a relationship in the spring of 2018 and it took you all summer to even want to go out again. Lexi would beg and plead and apparently, a celebration in Glenne’s honor was what it took in the fall for you to finally put on a pair of heels and have a few drinks.
“I wasn’t unavailable--I just--I don’t know, her and Lexi can be protective.”
He nodded, quiet for a minute when he looked out over the hills in the distance.
Your break up was tough, not so much about losing him, but losing the vision you had. There were plenty of red flags--so big that even Lexi could pick up on them. But you brushed it off, pretended like it didn’t matter that he was unreliable and immature. When you finally had enough, you were more upset about the fact that it threw you off course.
What am I supposed to do, now? You’d asked Lexi in the living room, crying on the couch with a glass of wine in hand. How am I supposed to get married at 27 and have a baby at 29 if he’s not the one?
He wasn’t--he was far from it. Lexi poured more wine and said she’d order you a vibrator on Amazon. He’s a fucking dickface, dude, you’ll meet someone else. And fuck that timeline. It’s bullshit.
Maybe it was a gust of wind or the thoughts of how terribly off track this put you, more tears in your eyes when you sighed.
“I’m sorry you have to sign all this shit.”
You bit at your lip, a tiny thud in your chest when his eyes met yours.
“S’not how it should typically be and that’s because of me--or my job, at least.”
You nodded. He was right. If this was anyone else it’d be a lot easier. A lot less paperwork, a lot less questions.
“Do you want to go get dinner?”
“Right now?”
“Well,” he looked over his shoulder--Jeff was down the hall, his figure blurred through the glass. “You probably have to sign at least the NDA if you want them to let you out of the building. But--after that.”
You took a deep breath, wishing you could ignore the guilt that sat on your shoulders. He shouldn’t have spend time with you. You didn’t want him to feel tied down, trapped, you didn’t want to be the ball and chain that would inevitably be blamed for changing his life and ruining his career.
“No, no, we don’t have to, I should go home.”
“It’s Saturday,” he said. “What do you have to do?”
You didn’t expect his question--or pushback at all, really. “I have to clean. I have to organize stuff.”
“Stuff?” A smirk on his face told you he was on to you.
“You don’t have to take me to dinner. We don’t have to pretend like we’re friends.”
He watched you for a second, his eyes scanning your face as if he didn’t know what to say. He pushed his lips out in thought and then scratched at the back of his neck.
“Am I at least allowed to get to know you? If you’re having my baby--if we’re doing this--you’re kind of stuck with me.”
“I didn’t mean it like that,” you tried to backtrack.
“However you meant it--I still want to take you to dinner.”
“Fine,” you said, heat on your cheeks when he smiled, eyes crinkling by the side. “But I have some things to sign first.”
“Right,” he nodded, a stifled laugh under his breath. He turned around and grabbed the door, gesturing for you to head back inside. “After you.”
**
Another burger, this time, hold the pickles. He teased you at the drive through window that you’d be keeping them in business alone for the next nine months, you parked this time near a beach north of Santa Monica.
“You said I didn’t need a lawyer,” you didn’t look at him, focused instead on the half-eaten burger in your hands before you took another bite. “Feels like I do.”
He looked over at you and shifted in his seat uncomfortably. “I mean--I didn’t want to freak you out. You don’t need one. You could have someone read over the papers for you. Do you have one?”
You racked through your brain. Maybe Simone would be your best bet, you could bring them into work on Monday and let her give it a read, but, then again, there was no way Dave and Jeff would let you tell another person before the paternity test results came in.
You shook your head. “Lexi watches a lot of Law & Order.”
He stifled a laugh, sipped from his soda and adjusted the dark sunglasses perched on his nose. “I don’t think she counts, love, sorry.”
You picked up your own drink and took a swig, ignoring the fluttering in your stomach when he smiled down at you.
“Hey, it’s alright. I can, uh, I can have Jeff find someone--not Dave--who can read them and you can meet with them, maybe. Go over it all and make sure it makes sense.”
You nodded, a feeling of gratitude swept through you. You offered a small smile of appreciation, another bite of your burger before Harry let out a laugh.
“See? M’not the enemy.”
You rolled your eyes. “Don’t push it.”
“Hey, I mean it,” he turned towards you now, the sleeve of french fries on his lap shifted, one fell down to the clean carpet of his car. “I know they’re requiring the test, but, I trust you. And we’re in this together.”
You crumpled up the garbage of your dinner, tossed it in the bag that sat by your feet, suddenly too nervous to sit so close to him in the confines of his car. “Let’s take a walk,” you said, unsure of how to respond to his words. It was hard to believe him, he pulled up the hood of his sweatshirt and walked beside you towards the beach, another stark reminder of the difference between your life and his.
It was obvious again, when the teenager behind the ice cream window at a beach front shop begged for a photo. You took it and prayed she didn’t even remember that you were with him. Hopefully the adrenaline in her system would wipe your face from her memory.
“This is the most beautiful ice cream cone I’ve ever gotten,” he said, sitting on the bench of a picnic table a decent ways away from the counter where you’d ordered. He twirled it around, inspecting it from all angles when you pulled the straw of your milkshake up to your lips.
“You’re acting like you’ve never seen one before,” you teased, reaching for a napkin from his other hand.
“S’just so perfect looking.” He reached for his phone, lifted his dessert up in front of the setting sun that sprawled over the ocean’s horizon. “Wow--do you see this?” He clicked the button on his phone, his thumb successfully capturing the moment.
You rolled your eyes, took a quick peek around to make sure no one was nearby. He’d already warned you that he couldn’t stay long. Typically only 30 minutes after you take a photo with someone, otherwise people start to show up.
“I’m sending this to you,” he laughed. “I understand if you want it framed or just as reminder of this beautiful evening.”
He pressed a few buttons and then your screen lit up on the bench in between you.
He peered down at it, then brought his eyes back up to yours. A smirk tugged at the corner of his mouth before he took the first lick of his ice cream. “Ever gonna save my number in your phone?”
You laughed, a bit embarrassed that a part of you had refused to do it. What if one day you woke up and he backed out? Said you were on your own and wrote you a check to never seek him out?
“Yeah, I just--I dunno, it felt weird at first.”
He raised his eyebrows a bit, finally took another lick from his ice cream. “Too personal?”
You laughed, “a bit.”
“Nothing quite as personal as having a baby together, if you ask me.” He took another lick and then dropped your gaze, a small smile on his face when he looked back at the sunset. “M’not going anywhere. Promise.”
**
When Aarav showed up at your desk on Monday morning, you knew you’d fucked up. When Simone showed up only ten minutes later, you knew you’d really fucked up.
“I’m so sorry,” you said. “I totally forgot it was tonight.”
“You forgot our bi-weekly Monday night bitch session about work was on a Monday night? On the Monday night after we didn’t hang out last week?” Simone tilted her head and narrowed her eyes at you. Aarav let out a sigh.
“I’ve been busy, I’ve been so busy.”
“Well are we still on? Simone and I are free as birds, so--we’re waiting on you.”
You looked at your work calendar, pulled up on your screen. Your last meeting was 3pm--then you were supposed to head towards Westwood to meet Harry and Dave and Jeff and probably the other people who had been at the first meeting.
“Yes, I can--I just, I have to cancel something else. But it’s fine. Not a big deal. That’s on me.”
You picked up your phone and tried to open the message discreetly. Simone pulled up her own and kept talking. “I’ll make us a reservation at Diego’s, yeah?”
“Sure,” Aarav said, “that’s the place with the good guac, right?”
“Right,” she said, clicking her phone shut and bringing her eyes back to you. “But also--can we talk tonight about how Carson told me he heard Levi mention something about talking with someone at Apple?”
Your eyes went wide. “Shut up--did you actually?”
“I’ll fill you in tonight,” she smiled, taking a step back from your desk and heading for the door of your office. “Over a nice, tall, frozen margarita.”
You leaned back in your chair and groaned, playfully insinuating that waiting that long would be torture. Aarav laughed and picked up a stress ball on your desk. He tossed it in the air once Simone walked away.
“You alright lately?”
You looked up from your screen, a half written text to Harry was typed out.
Hey--any chance we can rain check the meeting tonight? I know I have to sign it but something at work
“What?” You looked up at him and clicked your phone to sleep. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“You seem distracted, or just stressed.”
“I’m fine, I promise.”
“Okay,” he said, a lilt in his voice like he didn’t quite believe you.
You mulled it over for a second. You could tell him, you could tell both of them. They were good people and they’d sat through many intolerable staff meetings when Carson tried his best to shit on your team as if he wasn’t everyone’s least favorite coworker.
You swallowed it down and looked up at him. “All good--just, busy, really. Really hoping that there’s some movement here, soon.”
He knew what you meant--he was the one you’d been most transparent with.
“I think it’s gonna happen, don’t worry.”
You nodded, let out a sigh, wishing you could tell him that the apple seed in your uterus made things slightly less black and white than just getting a promotion.
And you wished you could have explained that to them that night--especially when they grilled you for not drinking. You shoveled chips and dip into your mouth like it was going out of style--only coming up for air when Simone reminded you about her news.
“So do you want the scoop on Levi or what?”
“Do not get my hopes up,” you warned her. “I’m not in a good place for getting jerked around.”
Aarav laughed and sipped on his margarita. “Jerk her anyway.”
“I think he had an interview.”
“No he didn’t,” you whined, worried it was either false or too good to be true. You loved Levi. He was funny and talented and he taught the three of you a lot. Plus, he didn’t really care that you’d been working from home a lot more often lately.
But you’d been hoping he’d leave Facebook for the last eight months. Ever since he told you that he’d certainly recommend you to the higher ups as his replacement.
“I swear on my life. On Mark Zuckerberg, even. I heard Levi telling Dan from Tech Support about it in the cafeteria the other day.”
Instead of responding, you shoveled in another mouthful of guac, wide eyes when they looked at you for some sort of response. But what were you supposed to say? How were you to supposed to be excited for something that had long been building, moving in that direction, but was now suddenly threatened by a one night stand?
You’d worked at Facebook longer than both Aarav and Simone. Simone came on only a few months after you, but Aarav was a whole year behind. They were also marketing geniuses, Aarav came from a top school in Chicago, Simone from the Bay Area with a degree in New Media and Internet Marketing. Your small team was responsible for digital promotions, those run online or in commercials. As the team’s Visual Designer, you worked closely with the rest of them to bring their ideas to the screen, however that looked.
So when the Team Lead, Levi, had started making mentions about heading to a new job, he casually tried to gauge your interest over coffee in the first floor cafe.
But this was shitty timing. How were you supposed to take maternity leave in the first few months in a new job? Would someone fill your spot while you were gone? The questions that started to race through your mind felt overwhelming, so much so that you wished you could reach for the margarita in Aarav’s hand.
But you didn’t. And you bit your tongue when they asked you again why you weren’t drinking. You didn’t tell them, though you wanted to, that the reason you had to miss work in the afternoon the next day was because you had to sign an NDA, agreeing to keep them and others in the dark about what was sure to be the most wild adventure yet.
And when you hugged them goodbye in the parking lot, you blinked back tears, hoping that one day, they’d know the truth.
**
You sent the documents to your mom. She was far from a lawyer, but she was likely the safest option you had. Lexi tried to grab them when you left them on the counter, push some sunglasses on her face and read the biggest words she saw in a posh Transatlantic accent. Both individuals agree that any proceedings will be confidential, she giggled and pretended to rip it up, collapsing on the sofa beside you to watch Netflix before bed.
It didn’t make much more sense to your mother, either, she sighed over FaceTime and apologized for not being able to help. That was your cue to text Harry. Is there actually someone I could meet with to go over these papers? Aside from Dave?
He set it up--claimed that Jeff found someone easily and then two days later, a woman with short blonde hair stood on your front step, Jeff in tow.
She sat at your small dining room table--one your mom had tucked away in the basement when you were little--the perfect spot for arts and crafts. You prayed, while your blonde-haired lawyer looked over all the words on the endless pages, that she didn’t notice the paint splotches or pools of glitter that had long been stuck on the dark, stained wood.
You sat there for hours, Lexi came and left twice in the time that the three of you huddled around the papers, Jeff with a baseball cap on as he told you about why these things were important. Rita--who you learned was a connection through Harry’s record label--had already signed an NDA and promised to explain the clauses and constraints in layman's terms.
So you felt slightly less stupid and insecure walking back into the same conference room Tuesday afternoon, alone on your side of the table.
Harry was already seated when you arrived, he offered a smile and a nervous scan over your body before you sat across from him. Jeff ended whatever call he’d been on, Dave’s hand immediately extended to receive the manila folder he’d previously sent you home with.
Another sunny Los Angeles day smiled through the window, Harry’s assistant was nowhere to be seen, the label rep wasn’t there, either. Three against one, this time.
You didn’t admit it to them, but your hand shook a bit when you reached across the table, handed over the packet of papers that somehow felt like you were giving up freedom, giving up your say in things and like you didn’t even know what you’d now lose. It was all in writing now. You were carrying this baby to term and that was the one thing that would keep Harry in your life, for better or for worse.
The only thing you took solace in was the fact that you had access to Jeff and Glenne, and maybe Rita, now, too. You could ask questions or get clarification over cups of coffee or take out.
So maybe that explained the calmness in your gut when you sat on top of an exam table in Doctor Weston’s office, Harry pacing nervously in front of you.
“Can you relax?” You asked, finally letting out the breath you’d been holding for the last few minutes.
Was it okay for you to say that? You still felt like you were walking on eggshells around him, unsure of what would tick him off and how to react. The truth was that you were still strangers--he was still someone you didn’t know. Someone who had his own pet peeves and his own fears and anxieties. He’d met you in the parking lot, he was already out of his car when you pulled in beside him the next week and met him after work.
You’re kind of late, he’d said. A frown on his face when he used sunglasses to shield his eyes.
You’d been in a meeting. You left as soon as you could. Now, he still couldn’t shake the nerves after he’d listed off the things that were keeping him up at night.
“I can’t relax,” he retorted, his words charged. He turned on his feet, hands in the pockets of his jacket. “I have to figure out a lot of stuff right now. And I’m nervous, okay? This is a big day.” He motioned over to the sonogram machine, a box of purple gloves was tucked alongside it.
“You’re not the one who has to have someone’s fingers in her--you know.”
He rolled his eyes at that, let out a breathy sigh and sat in the chair against the wall. He clasped his hands together but then looked up at you. You wondered if he thought you looked stupid in the blue and white gown the nurse had left for you on the table. You’d locked him out of the room when you changed, now he smirked up at you.
“Cute dress.”
“Shut up.”
“S’nice!”
“It’s ratty and old and--not very flattering,” you plucked at the fabric with your fingers, looking back at him when he sighed again.
“M’sorry--I just--I had a meeting with Jeff today and we decided to push the album back.”
You were quiet, the air in the room felt stiff and cold. Goosebumps on your skin when you swallowed back the thought: it was all your fault.
“I--”
He cut you off before you could string any words together. “S’fine, Y/N, really. Gives me more time to sit on it and plan some music videos and talk about marketing stuff.”
You would have asked more about it. Asked about the songs or the process or anything in between, but the door opened and Dr. Weston smiled when she stepped into the white-tiled room.
“Hello, hello, how’s mom feeling?”
The m-word got caught in your throat, color drained from your face when Harry looked between you and the doctor. “Good, right, love?” He stood and took two steps over to you, some sort of instinct in him took over, a hand on your back when he realized how frozen you were. “Headaches, she’s said, a funny taste in your mouth, right?”
You nodded.
Dr. Weston sat on the rolling stool and moved towards the sonogram machine, an apologetic smile for the panic she’d caused in you. “Are the headaches helped by something over the counter? Advil? Tylenol?”
“Yeah,” you said. “Advil. Is that alright?”
“Perfectly fine. Just take the recommended dose, no more than it says on the bottle.”
You and Harry both nodded at that--as if he would remember her advice, too.
“Alright,” she reached for some gloves and looked up at you, eyes wide. “Ready to lean back? The gel will be cold but it will give us a good look at what’s going on in there. This will be the first of many ultrasounds.”
You did as she told, pushed your bum back on the table and let your back rest flush against it. She was right--the gel was sticky and cool and the probe that came from the machine poked at your stomach. You ignored the nervousness that pooled in your chest when you exposed your skin in the room, that last time Harry had seen you like this, it was dark and his vision was likely blurred by the alcohol.
“Okay,” Dr. Weston’s voice was calm, she moved along your lower stomach for a few seconds, all eyes were glued to the screen. “So, the big dark circle there in your uterus,” she pointed at the screen and clicked something to capture it. “That’s the lining, there, where it turns to a lighter gray.”
Harry nodded, his lips slightly parted as his arms crossed over his chest.
“And that, the tiny little thing inside of it--” she adjusted the probe again and pointed to the screen, tugging at the whole machine a bit so you could see it more easily. “That’s your baby.”
Quiet for a second, the first time in a while that your pulse slowed and you felt alone again, even if it was just inside your head. The thoughts slowed, your breathing slowed, and Harry’s hip bumped against your arm when he looked down at you.
There was a small smile on his face. One that looked genuine but slightly terrified at the same time. He pointed towards the screen, “s’right there, that’s it.”
“I see it,” you nodded.
He tilted his head to the side. “It’s more--like a pea now.”
You laughed a little, immediately bringing levity to the room. “It wasn’t going to be an apple seed forever.”
Dr. Weston smiled, rolled away from the machine when you pushed yourself up on your elbows. “Do you want to do a vaginal ultrasound? We can possibly hear the heartbeat that way--obviously less comfortable.”
Harry looked over at you, all you did was nod. She asked you to slide off the hospital shorts you’d tugged on beneath the gown. Harry twisted around to offer privacy, this time, the probe was more uncomfortable and there was a tinge of pink on your cheeks when he turned back to face you, his gaze trailed down to notice Dr. Weston’s hand under the blanket that was now splayed out on your lap.
Quiet for a second, then she smiled. “That sound, the whooshing--that’s the heartbeat. That’s the baby, again,” she pointed. “Right there.”
“Huh,” you said, once again, eyes on the screen and hands clasped over your stomach. Harry looked down at you when Dr. Weston captured the image again.
“So,” Dr. Weston’s voice was quieter now, she removed the probe and discarded her gloves into the trash. “Still too soon to tell the sex. But--we’ll do another one in about four weeks. If anything changes, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. You can email me on the patient portal or just call the front desk.”
“Okay.”
“I'll print these for you.”
“Can you print two copies, please?”
She nodded, another reminder of how off track things were from the plan. You ignored the weight on your shoulders, the guilt that passed through your veins when she shut the door behind her and left you alone in the room with him.
You sat up, the paper crumbled beneath you and Harry stood awkwardly in the center of the room.
“I, uh--I still haven’t told my family.”
You bit at your lip, unsure. Was it because he was ashamed? Embarrassed? Angry? You didn’t ask.
“I want to, I just--I haven’t seen them in a bit. So. I’m supposed to go home for a while next week.”
You nodded. “You should go.”
“It’s supposed to be for, like, six weeks.”
“That’s fine.”
“No--I’m not--I can’t miss whatever happens.”
“Nothing’s going to happen.”
He pulled his head back, confused by your words. “I don’t think that’s how pregnancy works.”
You stood from the table and hopped down, suddenly much shorter than you felt before, barefoot on the tile. “Just go.”
He let out a sigh. “I might for a week, but, that’s all.”
“You don’t have to do this,” you snapped suddenly. “You don’t have to come to every appointment and act like we’re actually--I don’t know, together, or something. We can still live separate lives.”
“I’m not acting like that,” he said, eyebrows pointed inwards now. “I’m just doing what’s right. I’m in this, too, Y/N.”
You turned around, shimmied the shorts down from your hips and held the gown in place. You grabbed for your underwear on the chair beside his, neatly folded in a pile as if your life wasn’t a mess.
“I think you should do it. Tell them in person.” You pulled up the elastic band over your hips, still keeping the gown close to your body.
He handed you the black shorts you’d been wearing earlier, the gesture didn’t match the tone of his voice. “Why are you like this?”
“I’m not like anything,” you said, one foot in first, then the other. “I just don’t want you to feel trapped in LA with me. I’m fine.”
You dropped the gown now, holding it to your chest when you turned to reach for your bra. He averted his gaze, stared directly at the vagina poster on the wall. “Right.”
You tugged on your bra quickly, reaching for your shirt and pulling it over your head. “Right what?”
“You’re right. You’re fine. You don’t need me,” a shrug of his shoulders. “Is that what you want me to say?”
“I don’t want you to say anything. I want you to relax.”
“Well I’m sorry that I can’t,” he spoke quickly now, the anger on his face stopped you in your tracks. “But the last thing I need is for you to act like none of this is a big deal.”
You didn’t mean to do it again--you didn’t feel it coming until the tears were already on your cheeks, wet and falling towards the floor. He sighed at that, steadied his own breathing and pinched at the bridge of his nose.
“I’m sorry,” you said quickly, words broken by the heavy breathing. “It just happens now--I just cry on command.”
He shook his head, watching as you folded the gown neatly on the table, left it there to be discarded by the nurse. “No--I--it’s fine. You can cry as much as you want.”
You turned to look at him, a few breaths to try to steady your pulse. He stepped forward, his arms wrap around your shoulders. You were still for a moment, unsure if you were allowed you let your arms wrap around his waist, or if it would make the crying worse. But you did, and when you did, he leaned down to kiss the top of your head.
“S’alright. I’ll go home for a week. Then I’ll be back.”
“Okay,” you said. “Okay.”

FE SS X DRV3 General plot
Once again, I’m back on my bulls**t. Got the basics for the AU sorted now so let’s take a look, as well as what most of the characters are doing
Plot Outline:
As I mentioned in the first post https://allykakamatsu.tumblr.com/post/649470604067717120/fe-ss-x-drv3 the reason the class is in Magvel in the first place is because Monokuma decided that trapping them in the game was gonna be the motive, where you either have to end the war/beat the game or kill someone from the real world in order to get out. The characters got sent to various points in the timeline, and as you can imagine, this changed quite a lot.
Shuichi Saihara:
•The last one to wake up, aka got sent to when the game starts rather than some time before like the others.
•Ends up unintentionally becoming Eirika’s bodyguard as they run into each other while the Princess is trying to get to Frelia and Seth has gone missing dun dun dun
•Sticks around as Eirika knows where Kaede is and because he doesn’t want to leave her on her own.
•Can use magic, but still needs to work on his aim. Aka, never let him fight an enemy that’s near a tree.
•Still better than when he uses a Lance, he just stabs wildly and hope it works
•Because he doesn’t get the pre-war time everyone else had to get ready, he does get the advantage of remembering other things, though they’re things he’d rather not remember.
Kaede Akamatsu:
•Was sent to Renais and ended up getting adopted by the royals, so she’s the Twin’s step-sister.
•Despite her accidental new status, doesn’t change too much, and enjoys her time with her new family even if she’s always scarred about when the war will start
•As such, she’s also very overprotective and always goes with Ephriam to his dumb stunts, under the guise of being all for it.
•Very over dramatic organ player.
•Like Eirika she’s good with swords, but tends to specialise in staffs.
•Is part of Ephriams four (well now five) man army trying to take Grado down.
Maki Harukawa:
•Woke up in Jehana but didn’t stick around for long due to not liking the heat.
•Ended up travelling with Tenko for a while as travelling mercenaries, but when Maki’s work started leaning on the assassin side again she left so the Aikido Master wouldn’t get involved.
•After that becomes an assassin for hire, and she works for people all over the continent, including with Rausten which (unfortunately) led to her seeing Kokichi again
•”If it wasn’t for the fact your Princess hired me I’d kill you”
•Eventually after several jobs making her infamous, she was hired by Kirumi to help protect Eirika.
•Agreed, and was extra motivated due to Shuichi being dragged into this.
Himiko Yumeno:
•One of only two who was over the moon to be sent to Magvel, because now she has real MAGIC
•Winds up in Lute and Arthur’s village, where she joins their friend group to become master Mages.
•Constantly getting on Lute’s nerves for napping during practice.
•More energetic than usual, but that just means when she’s out she’s out for the count.
•Specialises in thunder magic, but that’s mostly not to steal Lute’s thunder, well, fire in this case.
•Goes with Arthur to get help when the village is attacked by monsters to “make sure they don’t claw him to death”
Angie Yonaga:
•Ends up becoming a priestess in Grado.
•Doesn’t really like spreading the word of non-Atua figures, but sticks around because Atua said so.
•Also leads to her becoming friends with Natasha and also ‘friends’ with Cormag
•Was already growing weary of the Empire when she heard about the war, but when Natasha was branded a traitor she knew something was up and went after her.
•Still always smiling, which depending on the person is a relief to see someone keeping their hopes up, or disturbing cause “does she ever not smile?”
•Mostly a light magic user, but can heal and not afraid to staff bonk.
Kirumi Tojo:
•Was sent to Frelia and became a servant at the castle very fast.
•Joined the staff only a few days before ‘The Frelian Tragedy’ where the crown Prince was kidnapped and presumed dead.
•Because of this and the King being so busy, Kirumi ended up being the one to console the young Princess Tana.
•Ended up becoming a mother/big sister figure and was offered a change of position as the nanny. Ended up taking it and staying on maid duty, and eventually rose to head maid.
•More open with her emotions, but still quite reserved.
•Can use all weapons well, but prefers spears and staffs.
Kokichi Oma:
•Not known where or when he first arrived, but after 3 years ended up in Rausten.
•Wound up as part of L’Arachel’s entourage due to his battle skills and her liking his attitude.
•Dream tam for each other, nightmare for everyone else.
•Was rumoured to be part of the Frelian Tragedy, but no one can prove it or knows how.
•With L’Arachel for most of the war, but ran off for a bit to drag Renac back
•A full blown trickster class, so swords and staffs for him.
Kiibo:
•Since Robots don’t exist, he’s a dragon now.
•Excited that he’s living and breathing, but scarred because “How did I change species?!”
•Eventually finds Myrrh and she thankfully sets things straight.
•Proud of his new species, but does miss his old life.
•When Selena steals her dragon stone, he tries to get it back, only to get caught in some trees while in dragon form.
•After that accompanies her on Ephriam and Kaede’s path to get the stone back.
Rantaro Amami:
•A former wyvern rider turned pegasus knight
•Yes, somehow he got a pegasus to trust him enough to let him ride, to the confusion of everyone else.
•Was with Grado for a while, but jumped ship to Jehana about three years before the war.
•When he learned that the Queen’s son had run away, his big brother instincts kicked in and he volunteered to find him.
•His search eventually led to Carcino where he found Joshua alone with the rest of Eirika’s party.
•Agreed to tag along so he could keep an eye on the gambling Prince and so he could help out Shuichi.
•Good with lances, but way better with flying.
Miu Iruma:
•A wyvern rider from Grado, though an unconventional one (I mean, it’s Miu)
•She and Rantaro were part of the same squad, but she stayed unlike him.
•Good at making all her allies lives a living hell with her antics (RIP Cormag) but she’s kept around due to her skill
•Saw Valter kill Glenn, but while trying to tell Cormag, got sidetracked by seeing Selena try to take Kiibo’s dragonstone, which made her go “F**k it”, swear the Flurspar out, and switched sides to team Ephriam.
•The only wyvern who uses an axe. Everyone calls her crazy for it but hey, whatever works.
Tenko Chabishira:
•Was in Renais at first, but after being ditched by Maki she went to Jehana due to her unsurprisingly wanting to be in the nation lead by a queen rather than a king like the rest.
•Ends up bumping into Marisa on a job, and once it’s over she convinces Tenko to join the Mercenaries.
•Loves Tethys and Marisa, so she stays no matter what, but she does eventually get some respect for Gherik.
•Doesn’t stop her from thinking somethings up with Kiyo and the new recruit who won’t take his mask off.
•Would’ve joined up with team Eirika either way since everyone else agreed, Himiko being there just made her a lot more aggressive with it.
•Axes all the way baby!
Korekiyo Shinguji:
•Wound up in Caer Pelyn, which royally confused everyone, but they kinda just rolled with it.
•Stayed due to his interest in the village, but when he was about to leave Ewan stopped by, and after a misunderstanding about why he wanted to leave Kiyo gets dragged into the mercenaries.
•At first only stayed due to wanting to send his sister more ‘friends’, but after seeing Tethys and Ewan act like how siblings are supposed to act, he realised how badly he screwed up, so he ends up sticking around to find out what real siblings are meant to do.
•Gladly joins up with team Eirika once they show up not only to stay with his allies, but also to get some more ‘sibling role models’
•Good with dark magic and staffs, but is in the summoner class..... be very afraid.
Kaito Momota:
•Woke up in Carcino, but after realising the guys in charge were assholes, he left and started travelling all over as a mercenary.
•After seeing Ephriam and Kaede storm a castle with 5 people total and win, he got the bright idea to become a masked hero busting innocents Grado captured out of jail and just generally be a thorn in their side.
•Formed a bit of a partnership with Kokichi because of this cause hey, where else in Magvel are you going to get smoke bombs.
•Eventually met Lyon, and after they explained what was going on to him, Kaito decided to risk it all on them as he let himself get caught to help bust Knoll out of jail, which worked, albeit with a lot of extra help from team Ephriam.
•All and all, more or less the same, just in WAY over his head.
•Of course he’s in the Hero class, so that means swords and axes.
Tsumugi Shirogane:
•The only one who’s played the game before, and easily the most excited, especially as she ended up in Grado and to be more specific as Lyon’s adopted sister.
•Thought she could get everything she wanted due to this being a game, but ended up having a bit of an existential crisis when the world turns out to be harder to manipulate and more real then she thought.
•Not wanting to accept that fiction can be real to, decided to take the demon kings power that wasn’t in Lyon (this was before the stone was shattered so that means most of it) to try get control back.
•This, of course, backfires, as while her already wanting to cause chaos/drama meant she kept her sense of self for longer, her lie eventually crashed in as once Shuichi got her to accept that fiction can be real she got completely possessed.
•Has the same class as Lyon, though she’s less tanky in exchange for being faster, worth it when you’re dealing with dark tomes.
Well, that’s everything for now. Hope you enjoy!
