I don't care how excited it might make some people, I don't like this remake

#no heart. no effort. no soul. it looks animated everytime cinematic scenes of Berk or the dragons shoe up what was the poiiint #httyd 2025 #aweful set and costumes. barely any cool details. dry emotions. no man i hate it #httyd live action #httyd #how to train your dragon #the only good thing this is bringing that it's giving me a chance to wipe the memory of thw from my mind #lf btw. look at the fur detailson gobber's vest and also the lighting #in these screencaps #try and compare this to whatever the hell they're doing with the remake. is any of it present? no #it looks vooler and better in the animated medium #amd it would've looked good in live action if it wasn't a remake and had good artwork done with some heart to it #like. i can actually imagine a live action httyd looking amazing but not as a remake but as a book adaptation #with changed perspectives and story and cinematography #hey can't replicate the masterpiece #and you know what pisses me off even more?#They based Toothless on his THW model. not even the first movie's model #his movements are all so... wrong

Paper flowers seem beyond you now but you can always go back to the basics, paper cranes are easy enough...

#in stars and time #isat #LMAO I FINISHED BEFORE LUNAR NEW YEAR #anyways if you saw my sketches then you know what the deal is #anyways i want to expand upon paper flowers and the act of giving them through viet siffrin #like folding in important or iconic memories into them to give to someone esp on new year for good luck #perhaps small tiny wishes cradled in lotus flowers for your loved ones to celebrate the lunar new year #maybe even once upon a time a litany of bright and red paper flowers flooded the streets for good fortune #i think siffrin would unconsciously fold a memory into each paper crane they make in an imitation of that #the act of giving oneself and maybe a piece of you being the highlight of the year #that you are made of your community be it enemies and loved ones and you also make up others #can you tell giving the king a flower has impacted me heavily? can you tell????#would love to explore siffrin making paper flowers for their family based on different cherished memories they have of them #in which forgetting is not as scary as i t could be once you know your family has the memories for you #the draws #i forgot i dropped off of tagging spoilers this applies to loop #think of loop making paper cranes at the favor tree made out of leaves #okay im done

saw someone saying something like "do you really think veilguard story would be better if you could do evil choices?" and actually yeah. i think if they let us act more like the dreadwolf on the "you are a paralellism to the dreadwolf" game, it would be more significant when the story tells you "you are a bit like him/you are nothing like him" because , thats how you chosed to play it.

#like i think the game could be good without the evil choices. but i would like a choice at all tho.#it can be just pragmatical vs idealist it can be about how much would you be able to give or sacrifice #how the game is now when you lose people it feels more like you failed more than you sacrificed them #veilguard critical #also #i can see all his memories and judge him in veilguard #but the thing that really made me be on his shoes #was the inquisition mission In Hushed Whispers #where you wake up in a horrible world and you just want the old one back #da4 spoilers #da4 #dragon age #stuff like the emmrich mission i thought it was gonna be a paralelism to solas #of “would you sacrifice your people in order for you to have more power to save others?”#“would you move on from the dead or try to get it back ?” like it worked both ways #there was a moment in game i thought all the companion missions were thematicly connected to the themes of the plot #but idk the themes are there but at the same time there are not idk how to explain it #when varric is like “you are not like solas!!!” doesnt really work for me when its impossible to be like him #it never worked for me when charas in videogame tells you “you are X” for things that you are forced to do in game #and its always a gut punch or very satisfying when you actually chosed to do them #anyways im rambling

#wizard #lab safety #ask #This ask/concept sent me blasting back to the past where I (many years ago) wrote a series of short stories-#-about a chemistry teacher who was constantly at odds with his students regarding lab safety.#The concept being that said chemistry class was a notoriously grade booster due to the teacher giving out test answers.#So you have a group of lassiez-faire students ready to kick back- when 3 weeks into the term the 'easy teacher' keels over dead.#And is replaced by a newer teacher who genuinely cares about the subject and wants the students to learn.#Rest in peace Mr.Ratman. You were probably the best anti-villian I've ever written.#Yes. The Anti-villain; because he's only ever portrayed secondhand by said students.#The whole point was about how much they really hated this guy and their attempts to ruin his life.#So it was up to you (the reader) to untangle what was the truth and what was just a rumour.#It was a commentary (and honestly a personal vent) about the frustrations and anxiety of high academic expectations #And the dehumanization of teachers struggling to motivate a students who push the blame of their failures outwards.#The original is lost to time (and a broken USB). All I have is a spotty memory of some scenes.#I remember it being really damn bleak. If I ever revisited it I think I would give it a more hopeful tone.#May Mr.Ratman be immortalized as the Lab Safety Wizard/Gnome forever more.#If you read all that; thanks for coming down memory lane with me. I think that Orym actually does doubt Imogen, but this isn't a thing that is unique to Imogen. Orym doubts all of them to an extent, because paranoia is something he struggles with (and this is continuously reinforced by the story).

It's not a 'good' thing that he should never get over, nor is it an immoral character flaw that proves he actually hates Imogen. However it's also not something I think he can get over as long as the threat of having to possibly fight his friends exists.

[Work became a place of security for her. Despite not knowing the details, people at the hospital looked out for her well-being. As with me, it was at Charlie's house and I spent every moment with his family whenever she was busy. Like after school, one of his dads would pick me up and I'd be part of their routine]

[Sometimes Pam would come along and we'd all hang out together before it was time for our parents to come. Reading comics, playing videogames or make-believe: my favourite childhood memories were at his house]

[Then came my mum's overnight shifts, which led to frequent sleepovers. I felt like I was part of their family already, his dads were more of a father figure to me than my own ever was. I was always welcome and I felt safe with Billy and Josh. They were Uncle Billy and Uncle Josh to me even before meeting Renee]

[It wasn't long before they caught up on why I was always sleeping over at theirs] Billy: Vinny…is something happening at home? You can tell me anything buddy. [I wanted to let it all out right there, everything that has happened, but my heart couldn't]
