Talk to me about NyxNoct on spring break, please? Where would they go? What would they do?
NyxNoct on spring break omg that's a good one! There's a 99.9% chance I've mentioned this in some form on twitter before, BUT
It's time for Nyx to take Noct on a little spring vacay to Galahd. If you know me then you know I am a slut for Nyx bringing Noct home! Usually I think more about fall/winter trips for the holidays around that time, BUT SPRING.
I think spring would be a great time for Nyx to indulge in hiking again - something he can't do in the city. I always thought he did that a lot as a kid with Papa Ulric and Selena. Libertus and Crowe too. So I feel like he'd want to take Noct up all his favorite trails (and along the way narrate "and THIS SPOT HERE is where I was dumb and twisted my ankle"). It'd be a mix of hiking and chocobo riding! Because maybe the first time they do it all on foot and Noct's bad leg starts to flare up by the time they make it to the top of the trail. Noct tries to hide this of course; he's a little embarrassed and also doesn't want to take anything away from Nyx enjoying being back home to the fullest.
But you can't get anything past Nyx, Noct. He's 1000% going to piggyback Noct back down the trail as the sun sets. Nyx doesn't mind, he used to do the same for Selena when she got tired.
ALSO - I need Nyx taking Noct to some tucked away waterfalls. I have THE MIGHTIEST NEED (this is the thing I've defos talked about on twitter before) for these two to jump off of the tops of waterfalls together, HAND IN HAND. OR LIKE - imagine a little picnic with their chocobos at the top of the waterfall and Nyx teases/messes with Noct to the point of getting food thrown at him. And it turns into a full on chase in which Nyx's only escape is being a show off and diving gracefully off the top of the cliff into the water below.
Noct coming to an abrupt stop at the edge all wide eyed and "Nyx!"
Nyx surfaces a beat later with the biggest, dumbest grin. Laughing like he's too proud of himself, combing his wet hair back with his hands.
"Come on, Noct! The water's perfect!"
"I..." Noct peer forward just to take a step back. He's hesitant because he's never quite been at a height like this before. He tries to think of it as warp training for a second, but even then -
"I dare you," Nyx will goad from below with a smirk that'll make Noct clench his fists in spite. "Don't think about it! Just think about me and my handsome smug face waiting for you to catch me if you can."
Catch me if you can - that smug ass. Of course Noct can catch him! It's just water! Noct's jumped into the water before! And he's going to shut Nyx up.
So Noct jumps. His heart skyrockets and possibly launches out of his actual chest, but it's fine because he splashes the hell out of Nyx when he hits the water and it's #worthit.
It's also worth the laughter when Noct resurfaces, and Nyx grabs him around the waist and gives his cheek a smooch. Lots of splashing and swimming after each other and, most definitely, jumping from the top again.
They should also totally make out BEHIND the cascade of waterfall, in a little secret cove that's hidden behind it. But that can be for another day, because these two definitely need to head back soon, dry/clean up for the big spring festival that'll happen later that night.
I want there to be lots of flowers (FLOWER CROWNS) and food and treats. A spring dance, maybe. I definitely need this song playing at the end of the night for them to semi-slow dance to. (Whenever I hear that song it gives me the vibes of a Galahd folktale song)
Should.. should I try to write this one day? ;u;

Noct & Prompto Give Their S/O Piggyback Rides
Noct & Prompto Give Their S/O Piggyback Rides

Noctis Lucis Caelum:
He may not look it, but the Lucian heir is strong. He can use greatswords, after all, albeit not like Gladio can. But he can use them!
Carrying someone is nothing compared to that…
The first time he gave you a piggyback ride, it was awkward. It was before you and Noct were together. You had fainted after a hunt and the others knew that the prince had feelings for you, and basically pressured him into carrying you on his back. But he did it. He was beet red at the time, but he did it.
Then, when you woke up to find yourself on someone’s back, you had thought Gladio had grabbed you, and snuggled closer to him (btw, Gladio is your cousin). And then, you were dropped, and your eyes met quite the sight. Noct was staring at you wide eyed and with a deep red flush covering his face. You could only pout, having lost your comfy position on his back.
The next time it happened, you and Noct were about as close as you thought you two would ever get: best friends. And being the prince’s best friend, he had dragged you fishing with him. And you fell asleep. You really can’t stay awake during times where you weren’t moving around.
Again, when you woke, you were on Noct’s back, being carried back to the haven. In a momentary lapse in judgement, you snuggled against his back, and…
You didn’t fall.
But you did feel Noct’s hands on your thighs grip you just that little bit harder.
Prompto Argentum:
You love getting piggyback rides from Prompto. He was always so gentle with you, treating you like glass even though he knew you could kick some serious ass.
You two had been together for a year by the time Insomnia fell, having met one another when he was out on a morning run. But that’s a story for another time…
Prompto had been the one to suggest a piggyback ride, back when you had first started dating. You two were walking back to your apartment to just chill after spending some time together at the arcade Prompto used to go to with Noct.
You had had a pretty rough week at work, your boss having you open and close pretty much all week. As you stumbled down the sidewalk, Prompto had pulled you to him.
“You good?” he asked. His hands trailed down your forearms to twine his fingers with yours. You nodded numbly.
“Just a bit tired, Prom,” you muttered. A yawn tore from your throat and you could only watch as Prompto crouched down, turning his back to you.
“Get on,” he smiled and you didn’t have to be persuaded any more as you climbed onto his back. His fingers curled against your thighs, pulling you further up his back as your arms came to wrap around his shoulders. “Just get some rest, ‘kay?”
Prompto’s honeyed voice and his strongly beating heart lulled you towards sleep and you pressed a slow kiss to the side of his neck.
“Thank you, Prom.”
The next time Prompto gave you a piggyback ride was a few weeks after Insomnia fell. You had managed to escape with some other refugees and made it to Lestallum, where you two ran into one another. You two had decided to go on a small date before he left the city.
“Prompto!” you screeched as the blond’s hug threw off your balance. He had snuck up behind you, winding his arms around your middle and placing a kiss to your jaw. He held you securely against him as you two swayed side to side.
“Yeah, babe?” he mumbled into your hair, his lips just behind your ear. You shuddered against his lithe form, and the blond pressed another kiss to your ear. You groaned, turning around in his arms.
“Not fair, Prompto,” you huffed, puffing out your cheeks. The blond was sent into a fit of laughter, and struggled to make his way to the nearest bench before he collapsed.
“Your face was adorable!” he cried out, dragging in deep breaths. You pouted, raising a finger and flipping him the bird. He held a hand to his chest in mock hurt before he fell into laughter once more, this time with you joining him.
As your laughs died down, he cradled your face, covering your cheeks with kisses.
“I love you,” he mumbled against your skin and you captured his lips.
“I love you, too, Prompto,” you replied, pulling back. “But I have work tomorrow, so we’re gonna have to cut this date short. Sorry, Sunshine.”
“That’s fine,” he smiled, jumping to his feet. He held fast to your hand before his face lit up. “Hey, how’s about a ride?”
“What are you--” You squealed when the blond hauled you onto his back, holding tightly to your thighs. His melodious laughter rang out around the outlook, and a tender smile reached your lips. Prompto started walking you back to your apartment, chattering away.
As you came closer to your home, you squeezed the blond, your lips even with his ear.
“You better come back to me in one piece, Argentum,” you whispered, letting out a laugh at the way his body tensed.
“Ye-yeah, I’ll do that.”

A Dissidia AU where all the Good Guys(tm) are various Noctis’ (allowing you to have the Noct’s that make you say, “interesting, but what’s the rest of the story? Hello? Hello?”). Regis, via Crystal-o-Vision is simultaneously a joy (so many sons!) and a sad (I can’t be with the sons). And the opponents? Eh, uhm. Hadn’t got that far. Nox and Ardyn’s? With maybe a few Glaucus? (The hell am I doing on this side? I have Idiots to Sheppard in a vaguely ordered fashion.)
Hmmmmmmm I’m still not sure what to DO with this but like- okay?
-Materia tries calling for Champions and it goes ... not well.
-All the various Nocti stare at each other. Canon Noctis, who has never done this before is an Internal Scream. While Nox is chill with it until he spots Little Nox. Noxtaur has jumped into the nearest perch and is Staying There while he laughs himself sick, N!Noctis is gently patting his big brother’s shoulder in sympathy while sporting big eyes, LN!Noctis is holding his little brother’s hand protectively, and NT!Noctis has joined his brother up in the rafters. Night King (NK)!Noctis is spacing off into the distance hoping if he ignores this problem his sanity will return, Yoru has broken out the sake and is looking honestly amused by all this, Au Ra Noctis is slowly climbing up to join the Taurs in their Perch of Hysteria, Youkai!Nox is looming in the far side of the room because he’s in his animal form and that animal form is Big™, and Deleantur-
-Deleantur, sitting in the corner watching this madness unfold, just kinda- sighs pathetically as he realizes that he’s technically the eldest and that means he’s theoretically in charge of this fiasco. Then he spots Fem!Nox & Fem!Noctis skulking over to his corner for peace and quiet and his brain shorts out.
-There’s also a Noctis lurking in the background who looks like he’s halfway daemonified but doesn’t FEEL like the Starscourge. Nobody is brave enough to ask for clarification and he doesn’t seem too keen on answering (he also seems about 80% Feral and none of the time-traveling Nocti want to think on those implications so they don’t). Next to him is a Noctis dressed in what looks like an Imperial uniform and while he’s acting polite enough he’s also welding a cane like it’s a weapon and his smile is DEFINITELY just this shade of Ardyn Scourge Crazy.
-Nobody is talking to that Noctis.
-Which suits him just fine.
-Eventually Deleantur and Nox (the OG Nox) manage to call order among all the Nox and Nocti and confront Materia about this issue. Materia very confused and apologetic but they ARE here now so maybe they could fight for her anyway?
-Since a minimum of all the Nox’s + Deleantur have lived through this plot at least once in their lives before, they are chill with the idea. The others less so.
-Imperial Noctis just kinda laughs in a way that gives no one any reassurance and the maybe-daemon Noctis has joined Youkai!Nox in his corner, they appear to be conversing via growl. All the Nocti elect to ignore this for their own sanity.
-Spiritus calls up material and he kinda laughs at her for accidentally calling so many copies of “the same soul” while HE managed a diverse cast (aka the regular Dissidia baddies) but Nox spots both his Ardyn and a Taur Ardyn at their respective Titus’s so hah jokes on you Spiritus.
-The Ardyns, of course, insta defect with the Titus’s following along behind Sighing™ at all the stupidity in their lives and OH LOOK AT ALL THE MORONS THEY HAVE TO BRAINCELL. At least Regis isn’t here.
-More than a few brains break meeting fem!Ardyntaur (and Fem!Nox & Noctis), but it’s STILL not as creepy as Imperial Noctis lurking in the back staring at Ardyn in a way that’s simultaneously Death™ and Perfectly Blank™ so.....
-Also Maybe Daemon Noctis has abandoned the strategy of “Stick Together and Get This Over With” in favor of chasing around the Clown Guy trying to rip his spine out. Or maybe eat him. No one is 100% sure.
-The Nocti and Noxs take turns holding Little!Nox and staying in the back under the watchful, massive eye of Youkai!Nox, and Deleantur leads a small group of Nocti to retrieve the various summons so they can get info on the World-Eater. it still takes a few days to get Materia and Spiritus to agree to cooperate and then a few more to find the World-Eater, during which such shenanigans occur as-
-All the compiled Nocti, Noxs, and Ardyns taking a nap on Youkai!Noctis because he is Large and Fluffy.
-The Titus’s exchanging tips on handling their idiots.
-The Ardyn’s having too much fun weirding people out with their existence (especially the Noxs and Nocti who are used to a male Ardyn)
-Fem!Nox, Fem!Noctis, and Fem!Ardyn all having some Girl Time because Female Solidarity in this Insanity.
-Little!Nox befriending Maybe Daemon Noct.
-Little!Nox getting a piggyback ride on Noctistaur’s back while Noxtaur quietly dies in the corner from embarrassment and cute.
-Little!Nox in general being an Utter Gem of Cuteness and leading the charge in all the Noxs adopting a very confused Sephiroth en masse.
-Little!Nox managing to befriend Imperial Noctis via having a sick day and suddenly deciding the only lap he can nap his sickness away in is Imp!Noctis’s. Who bears it with a grace more born out of bluescreening but hey.
-Everybody gets confused about Deleantur, who refuses to answer their questions (the Noxs figure it out and are kinda a Horror tho).
-By the time the World Eater is found and it’s time to fight, all of Spiritus’s champions minus Sephiroth and the Ardyns and Tituses are thoroughly terrified of anything Lucis Caelum. XD
-The fight is big and Epic and there are armigers everywhere and somehow Deleantur manages to out OP everyone else present with OG Nox, Imp Noctis and the Ardyns as close seconds.
-Needless to say, the World Eater is Very Very Dead™ by the time they’re done and honestly Spiritus and Materia are very glad that these lunatics are going home.

Day 10: Carry FFXV Brotherly Love Week
Day 10; Carry Gladio, Ignis, Prompto, Noct
It was a rare occasion when all four of them had time to train together.  However, Ignis wouldn’t necessarily call what was happening right now training.  Prompto, Noct, and Gladio were all mid argument about who could carry someone the farthest.  Knowing the answer already, Ignis remained quiet.  Gladio was the clear choice among them for hauling heavy things, people included.  This factoid didn’t slow the current conversation down one bit.
Putting his water bottle down Ignis rejoined the group and promptly wished he’d gone to shower instead.  Noct had his eyes on him the second he’d turned around.
“Ignis is the only one, otherwise it’ll feel rigged.”  Noct huffed while crossing his arms and pouting like a five year old.
“So let me get this straight, you get to carry Ignis from one side of the training hall to the other while I have to carry all three of you?” Gladio supplied as his eyebrows rose towards his hairline.
“Exactly, that way it’s fair!” Noct exclaimed.
“Yeah big guy, if you just carry Ignis then it’s not an even match.”
Clearing his throat Ignis stepped closer and waited, but no one addressed him.  The three people he thought were his friends, simply continued bickering about how far they could carry him.  “Is anyone going to ask me about this?”
“I wanna go first!” Prompto enthused.
“Okay so you just have to make it from one side to the other without falling.” Noct proclaimed as he started walking to the wall.
“Excuse me!” Ignis tried louder, “What if I don’t want to get carried?”
“You don’t get a say anymore, you abandoned us during our time of need Specs,” criticized Noct.
“Time of need?”
“Yeah, like you just point blank said that Gladio was the strongest but we didn’t even have a chance to test it.”
Ignis blinked slowly a few times and took a deep breath in through his nose.  “Have you not looked at the man recently.”
“Never-mind the muscles, this is different,”  Noct spit out as he grabbed Ignis arm and pulled him closer.  “So, like how do you wanna carry him, Prompto?”
Trying once more to put his two cents in, Ignis gave up after a moment and sighed loudly. It appeared no one was going to listen to him. Ignis had no choice but to play along or leave.  “Don’t I get a say in how I’m carried?” he proffered with a raised eyebrow.
“But what if I can’t do it that way?” Prompto whined, “I wanna beat Gladio.”
“Very well, how would you like to carry me?”  Ignis asked as he tapped his foot.  Not one minute later Ignis regretted his willingness to be their guinea pig.  Prompto, given his skinny frame, had decided that the best way to carry Ignis was in a fireman’s hold.  Curse training, and curse Cor for ever teaching such a thing.
Blood was rushing to Ignis’ head as Prompto hurried along.  He had to give props to the younger man he was at least rushing to complete his task.  Though, Ignis assumed it was not because of his comfort, but for fear he’d fall half way there.
Thankfully, Prompto succeeded and he was able to deposit him safely back on solid ground.  Ignis felt slightly dizzy after the trip, but it was over. That’s what mattered.  His friend and liege came next.
Noct had followed Prompto and was looking at Ignis like he was a puzzle to be solved, “so, uh, I don’t want to screw up my back, but I think I can handle giving you a piggyback ride.”
Nodding to save himself from yelling at the silliness of it all, Ignis gingerly crawled onto Noct’s back.  The prince was stronger than he looked and despite a wobbly start he was able to ferry Ignis back over to where Gladio was waiting.
“I don’t think I could possibly stand another trip across the room, somebody please save me,” Ignis deadpanned as Noct released his hold.
“Come on, this is the moment I’ve been waiting for,” Noct enthused, “Gladio you’re gonna eat it this time.”
Gladio didn’t eat anything aside from his dinner later.  As Ignis had already predicted Gladio stole the show not two minutes later.  His friend got down on one knee and Ignis almost blushed, but he managed to control his emotions.  After a little finagling Gladio was able to comfortably seat Ignis on his shoulders.  Memories of playing in the pool when he was a kid flooded his mind.
“Okay you two brats are next!” Gladio huffed as he turned to face them, “get over here!”
Unable to stifle his laughter at the sight, Ignis enjoyed his last ride across the training hall.  The two younger men however, were captured one in each tattooed arm.  Gladio looked like he was going on a trip with Noct and Prompto as luggage.
The shield easily walked to the other side of the space, and even spun them around a few times once he’d finished.  “There I’m stronger, are we done yet?” he asked after releasing the boys.  They flailed for a second before falling over.
“Not fair!” whined Prompto, “I can’t believe you could carry all three of us.”
Laughing, Gladio approached a stack of mats and squeezed Ignis knee, “hey, can you handle a trust fall into the mats?”
“I believe so,” Ignis replied right before Gladio tipped them both backward.  The wind was knocked out of his lungs.  The impact didn’t hurt, but it was still a long ways down from Gladio’s shoulders.
“You okay?” Gladio asked quickly.
Rolling over to free himself Ignis sat up and nodded, “yes, that was actually quite fun.”
“I wanna try next,” Prompto squealed as he ran over.
Rolling his eyes at the spectacle Ignis scooted out of the way.  Their remaining training session was filled with laughter and more bets.  Perhaps he’d find peace later but it didn’t matter, he was having a good time.

Hello! I absolutely love your work (no pun intended, what a spork I am) Anyway, if it's not too much trouble, I wanted a request from the touch-starved prompts post you made. A Promptis one with "Do you mind if we stay like this for a little longer?" It sounds so sweet! One of them says it after their first time and they just want to stay in that moment. I don't mind which one says it, it's just really cute. It can be NSFW or SFW, I don't mind. Whenever you have a chance, no rush! Thank you!
[Thank you so much for loving my work so much
Noctis heard Prompto crying once when he thought he didn’t hear it. It was a soft sniffle that, at first, Noctis thought was just a fluke. But then he heard him sniffle again and peered into the classroom at school to see what was going on. Prompto didn’t see him since his back was turned, but Noctis had watched Prompto sob almost silently. He saw him flop onto the desk, tears streaming down his face, and he watched as he put his head in his hands and cried.
Noctis didn’t know why he was crying, but his heart hurt for Prompto. All he wanted to do was take his pain away. It was strange. At that moment he knew he loved Prompto, and because of that, he didn’t quite know what to do with his tears. Instead of walking over to Prompto and seeing what was wrong, he walked away instead. He was too dumbfounded by his own love that was hurting his heart, his own longing that made his chest ache painfully. He didn’t notice that Prompto had sensed he was there and had turned around only to see him leave.
It was a faux pas that Noctis didn’t know he made. Prompto was smiling the next time he saw him, and Noctis didn’t see him cry anymore. It concerned Noctis, and several times he tried to ask Prompto what was going on, why he was so sad, but Prompto would only change the subject before he had a chance to get the words out and turn it into something more lively. Every time Noctis reached out to touch him, a friendly gesture or a kind hug, Prompto would somehow shirk away from it.
At first Noctis thought it was just Prompto naturally moving away from him and towards whatever his attention was focused on. But then when they were hanging out with Gladio and Ignis, he noticed that they could easily give him a hug and joke around with him with physical affection that Noctis couldn’t. He didn’t know what was going on. The last time they spent the day together as a group, Noctis tried to hug Prompto and he had somehow slipped through his fingers in favor of  jumping on Gladio’s back for a piggyback ride.
It hurt Noctis, and a few times he considered confronting Prompto about it. But how could he when it meant admitting that he loved him? What if Prompto didn’t return the favor and that was exactly why he was avoiding his touch? His heart ached, and there was an uncomfortable longing deep within his bones, demanding to be touched. He craved Prompto’s touch, needed it, his body aching for it day and night. But Prompto wouldn’t touch him for whatever reason, and it bothered him to the point where he ended up crying himself to sleep several times, cradling himself for comfort.
Noctis was determined to figure out what was going on. He was either going to get a hug from Prompto or confront him on the matter. The perfect opportunity presented itself when Ignis and Gladio proposed a trip to Galdin Quay for the weekend. Noctis was on board, but Prompto looked nervous, even more so than usual. He reluctantly agreed, and Noctis felt angry that Prompto avoided looking at him at all when Ignis discussed the rooming situation. Noctis volunteered to share a room with Prompto before he could disagree, and Prompto didn’t really have a reason to object.
They went to Galdin Quay with Ignis at the wheel as usual. Noctis had tried to sit next to Prompto in the Regalia, but Prompto took the front seat before he could offer Gladio the front. The car ride went well enough, as usual, the four of them chatting excitedly with Prompto turning around to show them the most recent photos he had taken. Noctis noticed he was leaning so close to Gladio and wondered if the reason why he avoided his touch was because Prompto had a crush on Gladio. What if they ended up dating instead? The thought horrified him.
When they parked at the beach, they all got out and stretched, admiring the fantastic view, the calm waters, and the warm air. Noctis watched Prompto as he stretched, enjoying how lithe his limbs looked, desiring more than just to touch his stomach peaking through as his shirt rode up while he stretched. It made him want to reach out and just hug him right away, his body aching for him in a way that was all too familiar at this point.
Instead, he walked with the group to the hotel. Ignis checked them in, and the four of them quickly changed into their bathing suits and went to the shores. For the longest time, the four of them were in the water, splashing and playing around. Noctis was all too aware of where Prompto was, and Prompto seemed to be aware of him too. Each time Noctis reached out for him, he would find a way to seamlessly swim away or splash around. It was almost effortless and natural at this point. Did Prompto plan on avoiding him forever?
Eventually Noctis got tired of swimming and ended up on the shore, sitting on a beach towel under an umbrella with Ignis reading a book next to him. He watched Prompto splashing around with Gladio, trying not to be jealous as Prompto mock tackled Gladio and Gladio picked him up and vaulted him through the air and into the water. Prompto came up for air a moment later, splashing and giggling, his bare chest beautiful, his shoulders freckled like his cute face.
“You’re staring,” Ignis commented without looking up from his book.
“So what if I am?” Noctis sulked. “It’s not illegal to stare.”
“No, I suppose it’s not,” Ignis said with a sigh. He closed his book and looked at Noctis. “We should consider getting some dinner.”
Ignis called the other two in, and Noctis figured now was as good a time as any. His pulse was racing, his heart beating erratically as he watched Prompto and Gladio come out of the water and join them on the shore. He stood up and immediately went over to them, not hesitating. He had to be brave, and he had to at least try. There was no way he could let this rift between Prompto and him continue to grow.
“Get enough water action?” Noctis asked with a smile, ignoring his anxious heart, as he wrapped his arms around Prompto in a friendly hug with a calmness he didn’t feel.
“No!” Prompto shouted unexpectedly, shoving Noctis away to the point he fell on his butt in the sand. He expected Prompto to be uncomfortable, to squirm a little even. Noctis didn’t expect Prompto to so forcefully shove him away, like he was a hot burner that shouldn’t be touched. Tears came to his eyes unexpectedly as he looked up from Prompto, unsure of if it was from his shock or from his heart breaking.
Prompto looked at Noctis, shocked by his own reaction, and Ignis and Gladio stared on with equal surprise. There was a long moment of silence while they all stared at Prompto. Whatever was going on was out in the open now. There was no avoiding it from either of them. Prompto looked at them, a blush in his cheeks, tears in his eyes.
“Prompto,” Gladio tried, but Prompto reacted quickly. He ran away from them, towards the hotel, fleeing before any of them could say anything. Gladio held a hand out for Noctis to take, and the prince gratefully accepted. He pulled him to his feet as they all awkwardly looked towards where Prompto had run to, already inside the hotel.
“Well that was awkward,” Ignis said. “Perhaps I should talk to him.”
“Don’t bother,” Noctis said, rather grumpily. “I know what’s wrong.”
“Then why haven’t you talked it out with him?” Gladio asked, perplexed.
“Because it’s not going to change anything,” Noctis reasoned. “Can I sleep in your hotel room tonight?”
“No,” Ignis replied. He looked at him, shocked. “Gladio and I want some time alone.” Noctis didn’t quite understand, and Ignis sighed. “We are dating, Noctis. I want to sleep with my boyfriend while we’re on vacation.”
“Oh,” Noctis replied, his eyes wide. “Uh… Yeah. Sure. Why didn’t you say anything?”
“Didn’t think we had to,” Gladio replied. “We thought it was pretty obvious.”
“Yeah,” Noctis replied with a shrug. “I guess you’re right.”
“Make up with him, Noct,” Ignis insisted, turning their attentions back to Prompto. “Sort it out.”
“Fine,” Noctis replied, still particularly grumpy and bitter. When they got back to the hotel rooms to change, Noctis noticed Prompto had locked himself in the bathroom. He showered in Ignis and Gladio’s hotel room, much to their dismay. It wasn’t his fault that Prompto wouldn’t even be in the same room as him.
Ignis attempted to talk to Prompto, but he came out of the hotel room and only told them that Prompto wanted to get some rest and didn’t want to talk. It made things awkward, and there was a tension between the three of them while they ate dinner without Prompto. Noctis felt like the third wheel, and he decidedly didn’t like it. But how was he going to make Prompto talk to him when he didn’t even want to be in the same room as him?
They returned to their respective hotel rooms after dinner, the sun already long set for the night. Noctis looked at the two with a silent ask, but Gladio wrapped his arms around Ignis from behind as Ignis tried to open their hotel room. Noctis didn’t need to see anymore to know they would be wrapped up in each other all night. He was both glad for them and jealous of them. He wanted that with Prompto, but Prompto wanted nothing to do with him.
As suspected, Prompto was in bed, either fast asleep or ignoring Noctis’s presence altogether. Sighing, Noctis changed into sweats and a tank top then got in the bed next to him, angry that they had to share one bed while Prompto didn’t even want to so much as look at him. He stared at the ceiling, contemplating what he should do, when he heard a small sniffle. It was almost imperceptible, but it was there. Prompto was crying.
“Listen Prompto,” Noctis said, his heart aching painfully. He turned to Prompto, whose back was to him, and reached out a hand to touch his shoulder. When he remembered how Prompto had reacted so negatively to his hug, he pulled his hand back before he could touch the blond. It was killing him not to be able to touch him, but he has to respect his wishes.
“I’m sorry if I hurt you,” Prompto said, his voice thick with tears. Noctis felt his heart shattering, knowing that he had made Prompto so sad. “I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
“I’m sorry I touched you when you didn’t want me to,” Noctis said quietly. “I just miss your touch. Why won’t you even shake my hand?”
There was a long silence, followed by a despairing sigh. “You saw me crying,” Prompto said tearfully.
“Is that it?” Noctis asked, confused. “I don’t care about that.”
“Y-you don’t?” Prompto asked. He shifted a little bit, but he didn’t turn around. “I thought you would be disgusted for sure.”
“Why?” Noctis asked. He really didn’t get Prompto sometimes. “You’re my friend, Prompto. I treasure you more than anyone, even myself. I would do anything for you, no matter how much it hurts.”
“Friend?” Prompto asked. It confused Noctis. Hadn’t they been friends for so long? Didn’t Noctis want to be more than friends with him? Why was Prompto so anxious about it now? “I… I’m sorry. I can’t see us as friends.”
“What?” Noctis asked, his heart lurching into his stomach painfully. Prompto got out of bed as Noctis sat up, looking at him in dismay. Did Prompto never see him as a friend? What chance did he have with his love for him when he couldn’t even consider them friends?
“I’m sorry,” Prompto said. “You deserve better than what you get from me. I’m going to sleep in the Regalia so I don’t make you uncomfortable.”
“Wait!” Noctis said.
Prompto was almost to the door, and Noctis knew then that if he let him go now then he would lose him forever. Noctis warped over to him quickly, pulling a small blade out of the armiger to give him a point to warp to. He ended up next to the door just as Prompto reached it, and put the weapon away. Decisively, Noctis wrapped his arms around Prompto’s waist and held him close.
“What are you doing?” Prompto asked. He struggled against Noctis’s touch. “Let me go!”
“No!” Noctis replied. He gripped Prompto tighter. “I won’t let you go. I know you might hate me but I love you and I won’t give you up just like that!”
“I don’t hate you!” Prompto argued, struggling against him. “Wait… Love?”
“Yes!” Noctis snapped tearfully. Prompto stopped pushing on his arms, trying to detach him from his waist. “I’ve loved you for a while now, but I haven’t even been able to hug you, let alone talk to you. It’s been killing me that you haven’t wanted to touch me, and now you hate me? I don’t think I can take it.”
“I… I don’t hate you, Noctis,” Prompto said quietly. “You… You heard why I was crying right?”
“What?” Noctis replied. “You mean in school? No. I didn’t hear. I just didn’t know how to react to your crying because you were so upset, and I realized then that I loved you.”
“Noctis,” Prompto said softly. “I was crying because I am in love with you and didn’t know what to do. You’re a prince. How can I be with you when you’re destined to be a king and I’m just... Just Prompto?”
“Because I love you,” Noctis insisted, hugging him tightly. “I love you, Prompto. No one else. If I am going to be king, then I don’t want it without you by my side. Prompto, I love you. Please believe me. Or better yet, don’t. That way I can spend my entire life proving that I love you.”
Prompto’s arms were reaching out for Noctis now, reaching around him to pull him into a hug. Noctis’s heart was beating erratically, and he felt like he was going to collapse from his touch. It had been so long that his tears turned into an overwhelming sense of love, a sweeter heartache from what he experienced. Prompto’s arms were around him, his face buried in his neck, and they both cried. Noctis realized that Prompto craved his touch just as much as he did Prompto’s.
They held each other for a long time, neither of them willing to move in fear that being apart meant being separated. After a time, Prompto started to shift, and Noctis knew he was getting antsy. He never could stay still for too long, and Noctis only rested his head against Prompto’s neck, stretching just the tiniest bit to reach.
“Do you mind if we stay like this for a little longer?” Noctis asked.
“It’s getting late,” Prompto replied. “We can always cuddle in bed.”
“I like that idea more,” Noctis replied with a smile.
Awkwardly, unsure of themselves, they got into the bed with each other, both of them smiling and laughing with breathless nervousness. Their nerves melted away as they wrapped an arm around each other, pressing their bodies against each other. Noctis looked at Prompto’s lips, and a moment later they were kissing, holding onto each other with their tongues explored their mouths hungrily.
At one point they stopped kissing, but Noctis couldn’t really tell how late it was. They only stopped when both of them were too tired, too emotionally drained, to continue. Instead, they fell asleep in each other’s arms, neither of them willing to let go. That night, Noctis had the sweetest dreams, dreaming of holding Prompto for the rest of his life.
When he woke up and saw that his dreams were coming true, still cradled in Prompto’s arms as Noctis held Prompto in turn, he nuzzled into him more, enjoying the warmth radiating off the person he loved more than anything.

Book Two: Famine (Prompto x Reader) Chapter Fourteen
It felt like hours had passed by the time all the daemons were slain. Everyone was breathing heavily as they regained their bearings and rested for a short while. Prompt dispelled his handgun and decided to give the unconscious (Y/n) a piggyback ride-making it easier for him to carry her. "I need a nap..." He sighed as he adjusted the girl on his back and cupped the back of her knees to keep her from falling off. Her arms hang limp around his neck, swaying back and forth with every step he took.
"We've all extended past our limits," Ignis huffed.
"All except for one of us," Gladio sighed, glancing at War.
"I just so happen to keep watch over the most dangerous monsters in all of existence. High stamina is a requirement for the job," the redhead responded while glancing towards her sister. "But the Horsemen still have their limits regardless of our immortality. Our special abilities take tolls on our bodies. Famine used hers to save all your asses. You should thank her when she awakens."
"Hold on a sec-" War vanished before the shield could finish his sentence. He stared at the spot where she once stood with an irritated expression. "Can't stay still for a damn minute..."
"We've gotta find Noct. Maybe he's found the Crystal by now," Prompto stated.
"Yes, let's," Ignis said.
Upon exiting the central elevator, the group followed a metal catwalk to the Crystal. When they saw no sign of Noctis, they were confused and frightened. Seeing the chancellor made the feeling all the more terrifying.
Ardyn turns to them, gestures nonchalantly at the Crystal and begins to walk away. Gladio swings his sword through the man's head, releasing a puff of dark smoke from where the blade strikes. Ardyn falls back a little, but maintains his balance and holds onto his hat to keep it from falling off his head.
The imperial chancellor gazed at Prompto, noticing the unconscious Horseman on his back. He coolly saunters over, but the blonde boy reacts quickly. He places (Y/n) down and stands in front of her protectively with his pistol drawn. He shoots Ardyn before he can take more than a couple of steps, releasing another puff of dark smoke and hurling his body onto the floor. The velvet-haired man's hat rolls away and lays still for several seconds before his hand suddenly reaches down to collect it and place it back on his head.
Once more unharmed, Ardyn is again standing. He bows with a smirk in Prompto and (Y/n)'s direction but then turns to Ignis. He smiles at the tactician, revealing corrupted daemonic features as he does so, but they go unnoticed by the advisor as his eyesight was no more. Ardyn walks away, leaving the four boys unharmed but devastated.
<------------<<<<<<<<<<<
A few days have passed since Noctis was absorbed into the Crystal. Gladio and Ignis went their separate ways in order to provide aid. With the nights lasting longer and sunlight was becoming scarce, the people around Lucis would need all the help they could get.
Prompto and (Y/n) currently sat at a booth in Takka's Pit Stop located in Hammerhead. The two had taken up many hunts since Noctis' disappearance to not only earn the necessary gil in order to survive but to clear their heads.
During their hunts, Famine would search for any signs of the Gashadokuro. Unfortunately, she couldn't even find a slither of anything that could help her locate the target.
"(Y/n)?" He calls out softly to her. "Are you okay? You're kinda spacing out."
She blinked a few times and didn't realize she had been staring down at the table. "Sorry, Prom. Just lost in thought, I guess."
"It's about that monster, isn't it?"
Famine nodded with a soft sigh. "I can't believe I let it escape. The thing isn't exactly small. You'd think we'd find it by now or hear a report about it, but nothing. It's almost as if it were a part of my imagination."
Prompto reaches across the table and takes her hands in his, stroking his thumbs across her knuckles. "It's only been a few days, (Y/n). We'll find it."
"Guess I'm becoming impatient," she exhaled, staring at their linked hands. She leaned forward in her seat, her (e/c) eyes traveling up to his own lapis ones. "Enough about me. How're you holding up? You've been kinda quiet since we escaped Gralea."
"I just really miss Noct. He's my best friend. I really hope he comes back soon."
"I hope so, too, sweetheart. It's heartbreaking to see you like this." She gave his hands a gentle squeeze.
"I'm just glad you're here with me. When we left the Crown City to take Noct to Altissia for the wedding, I never thought I'd fall in love let alone meet someone who likes my stupid jokes."
"Eighty years ago, when I first became a Horseman, I thought it was the worst thing in all of existence. Not only had I been resurrected and forced to become immortal, I thought I had lost all of my humanity." She smiled and entwined their fingers together like ribbons. "I was wrong. I mean, it took quite a while, but I'm glad to be wrong."
Prompto smiled jubilantly at her words and brought their entwined hands up, placing a kiss on the back of each of her hands. "I love you, (Y/n). I know I say that a lot, but I still feel like it's not enough."
The girl giggled with a glistening smile. "You have said it a lot, but I never get tired of hearing it. I love you, too, Prompto. I never received love from my parents. Now, I actually get to experience it. It's... warm, gentle, and slightly intoxicating. I never knew it felt so amazing."
Prompto went to respond, but the sound of the bell hanging over the entrance to the diner caught both their attentions. Glancing toward the door, they saw  Pestilence alongside Ignis.
"What brings you here, sis?" Famine inquired as the two made their way over to their table.
"I was hoping you two would be able to help us. There's an herb I need to obtain and it only grows atop the Rock of Ravatogh. It's the last ingredient I need to complete the elixir," Pestilence replied.
"Wanna go, Prompto?" The blonde Horseman glanced towards the love of her life.
"You betcha! We could use a change of scenery after all the hunts in Leide." The blonde boy got to his feet and tugged (Y/n) out of the diner alongside Ignis and Pestilence.
They walked around the building and a little ways from Hammerhead in order to avoid prying eyes. The Horsemen summoned their steeds-Limos and Erra-and hopped on. Pestilence helped Ignis onto her horse while Famine did the same for Prompto.
"This'll be quite a long ride," the snowy-haired girl stated. "But we should arrive before nightfall."
The two horses took off and the ride to the Rock of Ravatogh commenced.
Along the way, Prompto and Ignis chatted about what they had been doing since arriving back in Lucis. According to the advisor, Pestilence had been accompanying him on his missions around the Duscae and Cleigne regions.
"This elixir you're making, what does it all do?" Prompto curiously questioned.
"Well," the lilac-eyed girl started. "It's an ancient curative known for curing blindness. I've actually decided to combine it with another elixir to make sure it's potent and will also heal the scars. It's been a difficult road, but I will finally have the final ingredient once we get this flower."
"That is so like you," Famine giggled. "Always combining recipes you know will already work on their own."
"What can I say? If it isn't broken, don't fix this. In this case, if it isn't broken, make it stronger."
<----------<<<<<<<<<<
"We're here," Pestilence announces as they reached the base of the volcano.
"The familiar scent of brimstone," Ignis said as he dismounted Erra.
"You've been here before?" (Y/n) questions, eyes bouncing between the advisor and Prompto.
"We went all the way to the top." The blonde boy hopped off Limos with a huff. "There's a royal tomb here. We kinda had no choice."
"Guess this'll be your second trek to the top of the volcano, then," the white-haired girl grinned. "Because the flower is located at the peak."
Prompto remembered their first trip up the Rock of Ravatogh. It was treacherous and by the next morning, his entire body was sore. "Ugh..." His shoulders slumped forward as he followed the Horsemen and Ignis up the path.
They had encountered very few monsters on the way up. When the path began to slope, Famine and Prompto were surprised how easy Ignis was able to maneuver up the path without the need for a cane or a helping hand.
Once on level ground, Prompto expressed his surprise. "Wow, Iggy. I can't believe you're blind."
"Did you, uh..." (Y/n) glanced toward her sister. "Have some help conquering your blindness these past few days?"
"To a certain extent-yes," Ignis responded. "Pestilence has provided me with guidance."
"Just a little bit," the white-haired Horseman said.
"Nonsense," Ignis rebuttals. "You've aided me immensely, Pestilence."
"Glad to hear it," Prompto smiled.
At the peak, the two reached Owlyss Haven. They glanced down at the large nesting sight below, wondering where the Zu had flown off during the approaching darkness.
"It should be around here somewhere..." Pestilence murmured, scanning the large area below. Her eyes narrowed, looking for any hint of bright red against the gray backdrop. When her eyes landed on something in the far corner, she gasped. "Over there!"
"Let's go get that flower," (Y/n) said.
The four descended down the narrow side-path, treading carefully across the jagged stone beneath their feet. They dropped into the Zu's nest and noticed the eggs still had yet to hatch. "I don't know if I should be happy those are still here or not..." Prompto confesses.
"There's already one too many Zus. We don't need four more flying around," Famine responded.
Pestilence ran over to the flower once they jumped out of the enormous nest. She sat on her knees beside the beautiful plant and gently picked it. "All I need to do is crush the spores with the other ingredients and voila!" She careful placed the flower in her pocket and went to rejoin the others, only to be stopped by a low, haunting roar. Turning on her heels slowly, her lilac eyes widened at the sight of the creature that suddenly manifested behind her. "The Gashadokuro..."
"There you are, you ugly bastard!" She heard (Y/n) snarl. From where she stood, Pestilence saw her sister attacking the large monster with the Sword of Judgement. She managed to get a few powerful strikes in before it smacked her and her body sailed through the air.
The blonde Horseman growled as she pushed her body off the ground and charged at the Gashadokuro. Combining lightning with fire, she plunged her blade into the monster's leg and shattered it.
The monster's jaw unhinged and released a deafening howl of pain before dragging its body across the ground and away from the angered girl. (Y/n) gripped her sword tightly, blazing eyes burning a hole into the creature's torso. "What's the matter? Can't walk anymore? Aw, what a shame." When she saw the familiar signs of the creature disappearing, she gasped. "No!"
She tried to drive her blade into the Gashadokuro to keep it from vanishing, but she was too late. Her blade slipped from her hand, dissipating before it clanked against the stone. She sunk to her knees, eyes void of emotion. She stared at the spot where the monster once was with a lifeless expression. Hanging her head, she screamed internally at her failure.
Prompto cautiously approached the girl and kneeled beside her. He reached out and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, (Y/n), it's okay. Don't get hung up on this thing."
Famine lifted her head and looked at him. "It's my target, Prompto. If I don't kill it soon, innocent people will die! I-I can't let that happen!"
Pestilence walks over to her sister and sits on her knees in front of her. "Prompto's right, (Y/n). The Gashadokuro has erratic and unpredictable behavior. It's your job to kill it, but don't linger on the negatives. Focus on what you have accomplished in your previous battle with the creature."
"Yeah!" Prompto cheered. "You did wound it pretty bad in the Keep. I know you'll get it next time."
(Y/n) felt relaxed at his reassurance. She released all her tension with a sigh and smiled at the sharpshooter. "Thank you, Prompto." Then, she directed the smile toward her sister. "You, too, Pestilence."
"Can't have my goddess feeling down," he smirked giddily. "If she's bummed, I am, too!"
Pestilence smiled at the exchange and stood up. "Let's head to Lestallum. It's becoming dark and the daemons will be coming out to play."
"It would be wise," Ignis spoke up.
Prompto took (Y/n)'s hand and hoisted her up onto her feet. "At least going down will be easier than climbing up."
Famine nodded in agreement. "Definitely."
<----------<<<<<<<<<<<
In the safety of Lestallum, Pestilence immediately got to work creating the elixir to heal Ignis' scars and return his eyesight. Prompto and (Y/n) wandered around the town, noticing how they were preparing for the longer nights. They found themselves by the bridge leading to the power plant, staring at the beautiful shards that remained of the Meteor.
The golden-haired girl leaned against the railing and peered down. "It's so amazing how much this world has changed in a hundred years. In a good way, I mean. It's become more beautiful, too."
"I think that's only because of you," Prompto flirts.
"Oh, please," she scoffed. "One person cannot make a world more beautiful."
"They definitely can!" He protests. "You did it the second you came here! I've got proof!" He held out his camera and turned it on, flipping through the various of photos he had taken on his journey.
"I swear," she beams. "I don't deserve you. How did I get so lucky?"
"I ask myself the same question every day." He placed the camera down on a wooden crate beside him and took (Y/n)'s hand, spinning her around so she was now facing him. He didn't waste any time and pulled her into a passionate, deep kiss.
(Y/n)'s hands gravitated toward his face while Prompto's moved to wind around her waist in order to pull her closer until there was no space left between them.
As the kiss continued, the couple was glad to know they were in one of the quieter spots in Lestallum and no one disturbed them. Their bodies were also hidden by wooden crates, which made their privacy better and the possibility of people interrupting their blissful moment highly unlikely.
Unfortunately, they didn't take in the thought of one of the other Horseman interrupting them. Pestilence had found them and giggled, causing the couple to stiffen in each other's embrace. She teased them a little before telling them the good news. "Ignis' sight will return in a few days."

(So when I go home this summer I’m getting kidnapped for a day or so by my friends for some cosplay tomfoolery. And apparently I’m going to be Lunafreya for them, and I mean. That’s rad, she’s brilliant wonderful and fantastic, but there’s a couple of hurdles I’m going to have to go through to pull it off even for casual cosplay—
First is I am a very very pink person, there’s no yellow tone in my skin whatsoever, and I have black eyebrows. So blonde wigs pretty much all look like shit on me, unless they’re extremely ashy or straight up platinum (when I was dirk strider for a con I literally went with a white wig...)
The second is that I have a literal foot’s worth of height on the person cosplaying noct. I gotta like. Bend my knees at 80-degree angles or just be sitting down the whole time, heh. I wanna give her a piggyback ride in at least one of the photos, though.
Anyhow when I’m done with it I’m gonna splatter the nice white dress with blood and use it for Rize from Tokyo Ghoul, my favorite horrible girl—

A groan released from his lips as he almost fully hunched himself over. It wasn’t new that Noct grew tired quickly from walking far too long on the open field. He missed his car, he missed the easy transportation, he missed everything from his spoiled privileged life. ❝ Can you carry me.. ❞ Noctis muttered under his breath as he head laid heavy against Prompto’s shoulder. A smile was all that was needed to show that he wasn’t being a bother. Still. He wasn’t prepared for a positive response.
In an instance, his body was lifted and rested against the other’s back. His expression showcased a bit of shock, but soon melted into the embrace. Legs were carried carefully and arms wrapped around his form. ❝ I hope you are prepared to do this often. ❞ As Noctis let his head relax again Prompto, he looked forward to letting his body rest as his dear friend did all the work for him.

Prompto Argentum Headcanons:
·      This boy’s smile puts the sun to shame, but the sun can’t even be mad about it
·      Prefers sweet things to salty, especially if it’s fruity or caramel-y
·      Once misplaced his camera and literally tore through everything to find it. It was sitting around his neck.
·      Noctis gave him that bandanna around his arm and he didn’t want to put it around his head like the normal style because that would interfere with his hair, so he just tied it around his arm
·      Probably a decent cook from all the meal preparation he did when he was young
·      He’s the person who texts friends at the crack of dawn asking stupidly deep questions that no one has the answers to. He needs to be asleep but he lowkey has insomnia (Ha, like the city), and he has a lot of questions
·      Compliment anything about him and he will get the softest most appreciative look on his face before uttering a voice-cracked, “Thank you”
·      Give him a flower, anything brightly colored, especially buttercups or sunflowers, and he will get the same look. This time he might cry and he will hug you in the most bone-crushing embrace and he will not let go
·      Really likes memes. Sends them to the group chat all the time. The responses vary. Noct lives for these memes, Gladio questions them, Ignis asks why none of them are asleep at 3 a.m.
·      You know that vine of that dude who tries to see if banana peels are actually slippery and he slips? Yea, that’s Prompto
·      The person who accidentally drops their phone on their face while lying down in bed
·      Really good in school when a subject interests him. He has so much energy, but if it doesn’t pique his interest, he’s out
·      Caramel is his one true love next to the Chocobo
·      Would let his arm go numb and fall off if it meant that the animal that is sleeping there is comfortable and he doesn’t disturb them. Same goes for friends, namely Noct
·      Joined band in high school and played percussion. He was really good and likely could’ve played in college but he was busy escorting a certain Prince around or somethin’ idk
·      Loves piggyback rides, and at one point Noct tried to warp with him on his back. It ended in Prompto being slam dunked on the ground and heaving up his lunch. Noct has not tried to warp with anyone since, no matter how insistent Prompto is about trying it again
·      Went out clubbing with Noct once. It did not end well for either once Ignis found them and gave the “I’m So Disappointed In You Both™” speech
·      Tried coffee once because all of the adults were doing it and it looked kinda cool. Spit it out immediately and hasn’t touched it since
·      Loves Snapchat and frequently takes pictures of people in his life at the worst angles possible. However, he’s never gotten Ignis at a bad angle. It’s both impressive and terrifying how photogenic that man is
·      The type of person who goes all out for birthdays. He will buy so many gifts. You’ll mention liking some stuff in distant passing, and it’s kinda like, how did he remember?? Lots of cute animal inspired balloons and a piñata to smack around
·      Prompto can sing, but good luck getting him to do so. My boy’s got stage fright

“Only if you give me a piggyback ride!”
A/N: I wanted to do something for some people this Holiday season, so I wrote a drabble with their bias. The premise of the shenanigans are:
I picked a winter/cold/christmas theme, and a random prompt off a huge list, and tried my best to keep them sort. Key word is TRIED. =p
Here you are Miss @momokitty27 - I figured you’d tease Gladdy enough with this one. *wink* Merry Christmas, Doll!
Prompt: “Only if you give me a piggyback ride!” Characters: Gladio x Fem!Reader Word Count: 816
You had to admit you felt a bit tipsy and with a huff you blamed the egg nog at Noct’s Christmas party. With a gentle shake of your head you stumbled a bit and couldn’t stop the squeak that passed your lips as you lost your footing, only to feel a large warm hand grasp your arm, firmly but gently, and pull you back up to your feet.
“Whoa, you alright there, Babe?”
You blinked, looking surprised as Gladio held you against him, only to smile, and giggle softly at your slight blunder.
“Y-Yeah, just a bit slippery out here I guess.”
You heard him huff softly, as a slight smirk pulled at his lips. “Uh huh. You sure you didn’t have a bit too much to drink in there?”
You huffed softly, and shook your head, only to wobble a little on your feet as you exhaled slowly because the world spun a little.
“Ok, maybe I did have a bit much, but that’s why I’m walking home. Besides, I don’t live far. I’ll be fine.”
“Sure you will, cause I’m going with you.” he said with a grin.
You blinked up at him, and grumbled softly.  “I swear I’m fine. I can walk by my…nnh…”
You winced a little as you put weight on your foot. Gladio’s brows shot upwards as he noticed you wince. He moved quickly, causing you to yelp softly in surprise as he grasped you by the waist, turned, then gently sat you down on the stairs to Noct’s apartment complex. You winced again as he forced you to gently roll your ankle.
“A-ah…”
He hummed softly. “Twisted it a little bit huh?”
You felt heat creep across your face. “I-I guess. It’ll be fine in a minute I’m sure.”
Gladio clicked his tongue, then shook his head.  “I doubt that Babe, but don’t worry, I’ll carry you.”
You blinked up at him. “Excuse me?”
He grinned. “I said I’ll carry you.”
“Ifrit’s ass you will.” you huffed.
He looked hurt for a moment, surprised at your outburst before he huffed out a laugh.
“And you think you’re going to walk about 2 miles home, on a bad ankle? Try that again Babe.”
You grumbled softly, dipping your head to try to will away the heat in your face, when you felt him gently pet a finger under your chin, and gently tip your head back, causing you to look up at him.
“C’mon Babe,” he smiled down at you gently. “Let me help you.”
“F-Fine.” you huffed again.
He inhaled deeply, smiling softly as he looked rather pleased with himself, and moved forward, his hand sliding along the back of your thigh before you grabbed his wrist as it got behind your knees.
“Nuh-uh.”
“Huh?” he blinked.
“Nope. You’re not carrying me that way.”
His brows shot upwards, and he looked confused, but slowly withdrew his hand from behind your knees, his other remained at the back of your shoulders before he cocked his head to the side.
“Then how–”
“Piggyback.”
He blinked, slowly. “What?”
“You can carry me home, ONLY if you give me a piggyback ride.”
You huffed softly, crossing your arms and turning your head away from him, in what you hoped was your best pout. You watched him out of the corner of your eye go slightly wide eyed, before he dipped his head, and snorted softly, barely holding back his laughter, as his shoulders shook with it.
“Fine. Six, you’re worse than Iris.” he said with a smile in his voice.
You laughed. “Maybe, but if I didn’t know any better, you wouldn’t like me as much if I didn’t sass you now and then.”
You watched him roll his eyes, and turn about, getting down on one knee. He held his hands behind him, then gestured for you to climb onto his back with a slight jerk of his head. With a smile, you leaned forward, and wrapped your arms about his neck as his hands slid up and under your thighs. He stood easily, then bounced you once, getting you into the best position for him to carry you, which included him keeping his hands under your ass.
“Hey! Watch the hands there, big guy…!”
He turned his head to look back at you, and grinned as he gently squeezed. “Oh, believe me, Babe, I am.”
You huffed and slapped his shoulder. Two can play this game. You leaned forward then, pressing your chest firmly against his back. You felt him tense up a little as your lips moved over the shell of his ear.
“Ok then, but I suggest you hurry to my apartment, Gladdy, as your christmas present can’t wait to be…unwrapped.”
You lifted your head, taking in his slightly wide eyed expression, before you let out a loud shriek of surprise as he broke off into a run, laughing loudly.

FFXV x Hocus Pocus AU Ideas Part 4
Tumblr media
Yes! Here it is... The conclusion of the Hocus Pocus AU...
So the broomstick ride to the school is one filled with Terror and Regret
Gladio: *Has Ignis sitting on his lap* “Would it be weird if I complimented Ignis’s cologne right now?”
Gladio: “It would probably be weird.”
Gladio: “He’s so soft I can’t”
Noctis sneezes and almost falls off of the broom. Prompto lunges to catch him and nearly sends them all hurtling to their deaths.
Noctis: “Dude, it’s not like I can die. You’re flying so damned slow. I could take another 300 years to get to the school and I’d still beat you there”
Like I said. Terror. Regret. IRRITABILITY.
They thankfully make it to the school without dying.
They set up a trap-- lure the Sanderson Brothers into the kiln
Prompto: “Look! I made this clay pot to hold my wolfsbane potion!”
Prompto: “Once I make it”
Prompto: “I’ll get it right this time”
Noctis: “You are literally the worst witch I’ve ever seen:
They use Prompto as the bait-- it’s easy for the witches to sense his presence, and he has the best chance of defending himself. He stands inside the kiln (his clay pot safely stowed in his pocket)
The Brothers arrive and corner Prompto in the kiln-- and Prom strikes! He casts Stop
Time magic is not his strong suit
But all he needs is the few seconds it takes for him to run
He rushes out of the kiln, Gladio slams the door shut, and Ignis turns up the heat
Gladio: “Iris, don’t look!”
Iris: *FUCKING LOOKS*
It works! The Sanderson Brothers are toast!
Gladio: “Somebody order charbroiled witch?”
Prompto:
Gladio:
Gladio’s Tattoo: *SQUAWK*
With the Sanderson brothers out of the way, the group heads to Gladio’s house.
Prompto and Noctis have a Pretty Serious Talk about what happens next
It’s all Prompto making promises about what good care he’s going to take of Noctis, and how they’re going to be so happy together
Gladio: “Didn’t peg you for a fuckin’ furry”
Prompto:
Noctis: “What’s a furry”
Iris: “Prompto’s not really that furry, is he? The only hair I see is on his head”
Prompto, Noctis, and Iris end up falling asleep in Gladio’s room. Gladio takes a photo of them. Partly because it’s cute. Mostly because it’s blackmail for Prompto, who has Noctis curled up on his chest
Cue Gladio’s chance to sneak downstairs with Ignis
Ignis: “Well, you managed to make one of the most spectacular blunders in the history of Salem, but I suppose it all worked out in the end”
Gladio: “Thanks to you. I never would have thought of using the kiln”
Ignis: “I do have my moments”
Gladio:
Ignis:
*AWKWARD SILENCE*
Gladio: “I LIKE HOW YOU SMELL”
Ignis:
Gladio: “Your”
Gladio: “Your cologne”
Gladio: “smells nice”
Gladio: *Oh my fucking God I wish the Sanderson Brothers were still around so that they could fucking end my life”
Ignis: “Thank you, Gladio. You smell rather pleasant, yourself”
Gladio’s Tattoo: *SQUAWK*
Ignis: “Okay, if we’re going to date, we need to do something about that tattoo of yours”
Gladio: “Yeah I know it’s really--”
Gladio: Wait what”
Gladio and Ignis go upstairs to retrieve the spellbook, then head to the study so that they don’t disturb the others
They have two (2) objectives
1. To find a way to reverse Noctis’s kitty curse
2. To figure out how the hell to get rid of Gladio’s screeching tattoo
Little do they know that halfway across town, the Sanderson Brothers are rising from the ashes in the kiln. And the book is calling to them while it’s open in Gladio’s house
Noctis must also sense the book’s power, because he scampers into the study and lunges onto it, forcing Gladio to shut it
They’re too late-- someone’s screaming upstairs
Continued under the cut!
Ignis and Gladio run upstairs with Noctis and find the Sanderson Brothers in the bedroom
Loqi has Iris-- he’s singing softly into her ear, putting her into a trance so she can’t fight back
Ardyn has Prompto pinned to the wall, using magic to hold him up by the throat
If anyone’s curious, Iedolas is kind of off to the corner not really doing anything. I think he’s forgotten what they’re supposed to be doing
Ardyn: “Well, well. Fancy that you’d drop by.”
Gladio: “This is my fucking house”
Gladio’s Tattoo: *SQUAWK*
Ardyn proposes a trade: Innocent life for the spellbook
Gladio really hates it, but he has no choice. He can’t let anything happen to his little sister.
He hands over the book
Ardyn: “Thank you.”
Gladio: “Now keep your end of the bargain. Let them go.”
Ardyn: “Them? Oh, you misunderstood me, dear boy. I said ‘innocent LIFE. Not LIVES.”
Ardyn: “Leave the girl. There will be plenty more children where she came from.”
He drags Prompto, kicking and screaming, towards the window.
The others try to help him, but Loqi and Iedolas cast magic spells that send them flying across the room.
Gladio gets knocked out when he smashes into his drum set
Gladio’s woken up by Noctis scratching him mercilessly across the face
Noctis: “Come on! Wake up!! We gotta help Prompto!!!!”
Gladio: “Iris, you should stay here.”
Iris: “No way! I’m going with you! Prompto’s my friend, too!”
Ignis: “If the Brothers have their way, there won’t be a safe place for children like Iris to go, no matter where she is”
Gladio: “Ugh okay fine”
Gladio: “But first we’re getting something from my dad’s room”
Meanwhile, in the Sanderson House, the brothers have used the spellbook to create the potion they’ll need to suck the life out from young people
They’ve got Prompto tied to a chair. He’s going to be their first victim
He’s like 17... that’s still pretty young
Ardyn: “Shame that we must do this to one of our own...”
Prompto: “Uh. No one’s stopping you from NOT doing this, y’know.”
Prompto: “Anyway, why don’t you spend the next twenty minutes telling me your life story and explaining the motives behind every single one of your actions”
He’s stalling for time okay
He knows Gladio and the others are on their way-- they just need time to show up
Iedolas and Loqi are content with blabbing away with Prompto, but Ardyn’s not an idiot. He orders his brothers around, getting Loqi to help pry Prompto’s jaws apart so that he can pour the potion into his mouth.
They manage to force him to drink it!! Oh no!!!!
But before the Brothers can start to sap away Prompto’s youth to claim for themselves, Gladio KICKS DOWN THE DOOR AND SHOOTS THEM DOWN WITH A SHOTGUN
Prompto: “JESUS FUCKING CHRIST”
Iris: “Prompto! You’re okay!”
Iris: “Why is your body all glowy???”
Noctis: “They made him drink the potion. We have to get him out of here-- quickly! Before the witches revive!”
The group runs back to the cemetery. Prompto’s broom is at Gladio’s house-- meaning that Gladio has to give him a piggyback ride when they set foot on hallowed ground.
They’re about to reach the heart of the cemetery when Ravus lunges out at them from behind an oak tree
He reaches for the combat knife Gladio stole borrowed from his dad’s closet
He manages to grab it
But
IGNIS SMACKS HIM SO HARD WITH THE SHOTGUN THAT HIS HEAD FLIES OFF
Ravus’s body stumbles over to his head and uses the knife to slice the stitches sewing his mouth shut
Ravus: “Help! Help you!”
Gladio: “You expect me to believe that???”
Noctis: “I can vouch for Ravus. We rarely saw eye to eye. But he hates the Sanderson Brothers as much as any of us”
The group has two (2) objectives now
1. Protect Prompto and stop the Sanderson Brothers from draining his life force
2. Hold out until the sunrise-- then it will all be over
To free up everyone’s hands, Gladio helps Prompto climb the oak tree. He’s high up off the ground and difficult to get to, thanks to all the branches. Win-win.
They don’t have much time to prepare. The Sanderson Brothers are here!
Gladio declares open season on witches with his dad’s shotgun
He fires off one shot (and misses) before Ardyn sends the gun flying across the graveyard with a flick of his wrist
FUCK
Iedolas and Loqi work to distract the party while Ardyn goes for Prompto.
It’s not hard. The kid’s glowing like a Lite-Brite in a basement
Prompto fires off a couple of spells. One of them nearly knocks Ardyn off of his broom.
But Ardyn takes advantage of Prompto’s soaring confidence-- he rights himself on his broomstick while Prom’s in mid-celebration and smashes right through the branches of the tree. Prompto’s snatched up with a shriek
Noctis sees Ardyn holding Prompto by the throat and sucking out his soul and leaps into action. He climbs the oak tree and launches himself at Ardyn.
Prompto lands on the slab of an overturned tombstone. Drives the air right out of his lungs
Ardyn lands in the dirt
Noctis lands on his side on top of a tombstone. His bones crunch upon impact
Ardyn stalks towards Prompto, his hair a dishevelled mess, his eyes alight with uncharacteristic and unbridled rage. He reaches a hand towards him, ready to draw the life right out of him-- but then he realizes that he can’t move. His feet are rooted to the spot.
He’s standing on hallowed ground
Though Prompto has the bruises to show for it and he’s pretty sure his shoulder is dislocated, he landed on the tombstone. He’s technically not touching the ground
He watches in horror as Ardyn’s body begins to turn to stone.
As all this is happening, the sun peeks out through the trees. Iedolas and Loqi explode into dust upon contact with the sunlight
Ardyn is only able to watch as the light of the sun travels along the grass... closer and closer... until it touches him. And then he is no more.
Gladio, Ignis, and Iris cheer. They did it!!!!
Their celebration is cut short by Prompto
Prompto: “S-Someone please-- please go check on Noct! Is he okay? Please tell me he’s okay!!!”
He can’t reach Noctis from where he is. He’s trapped on the tombstone.
The group rushes over to Noct... and...
Gladio: “P-Prom... I’m...”
Prompto: “No. No. He’s not dead. He can’t die! He can’t die!”
Gladio doesn’t have a wisecrack about where to put the body this time. The cemetery is completely silent except for Prompto’s sobs
Noctis: “Jeez, Prompto, get a hold of yourself”
His soul-- in human form-- is sitting on top of Ravus’s tombstone. He gives a nod of acknowledgement when Ravus shuffles past him and settles back into his grave to rest once more so his soul can travel back to a place of peace
Noctis: “It’s better this way. There are people on the other side who’ve been waiting for me for a really long time.”
Sure enough-- that’s Luna’s voice calling Noct’s name. She’s a beautiful shade-- pure white light standing beside a tree
Noctis: “I’d better get going. Thank you, guys. Especially you, Prompto.”
Prompto just smiles and nods. As much as he wants Noctis to stay, he knows he can’t. Noctis’s soul deserves to rest in peace after centuries of suffering alone
Noctis: “Maybe I’ll see you around, Prom.” *Kisses Prompto on the cheek*
Tbh he’s a ghost so he actually probably kisses the inside of Prompto’s head but at least he’s cool enough to not point that out and ruin the moment
Noctis: “In my day, that’s basically third base”
Prompto: “DUDE WHY THE FUCK WOULD YOU SAY THAT”
At least the smile that lingers on Prompto’s face as Noctis takes Luna’s hand and ventures forth into the sunrise is genuine
...Bonus...
A week later, Prompto is in his study, finally putting that wolfsbane inside the clay pot he’d made in art class.
He feels something rub against his leg and SCREAMS
He drops the pot
HIS NICE CLAY POT
IT HAD BEEN THROUGH SO MUCH
He glances down at his feet... and there goes the ladle he’d been holding in his other hand
The wispy silhouette of a not-quite-there black cat doesn’t bother to dodge the spoon that passes right through its body
The cat smiles as much as a cat can at the sight of Prompto’s overjoyed face
For the curious: Prompto is able to mute Gladio’s tattoo... but he has no idea how to remove it. He’s working on it!!!

I Will Be [Ravus/Reader] Finale
Tumblr media
The long awaited final part to I Will Be. Playing through Chapter 13.2 of the new update was harrowing, by the way. I can’t believe they made me watch Ravus die. :( I want to cry, but I’m incapable of tears as of this moment. Too much sadness in FFXV, too many people need hugs. I wanted to keep this final part light hearted, but I fail in light hearted writing when it comes to tragic characters.

Riiiiiing
Riiiiiing
Riiiiiiiiiing
Did you find her?
Yeah, we did. She was stranded in the desert just outside of Hammerhead. She was injured when we found her, a slashed up leg.
Bring her back immediately.
What? No ‘thank you’ for finding your wife?
… Thank you.
I’m only bringing her back because Luna asked me to, Ravus. You’re the one that chased Y/N away.
So you wouldn’t help a damsel in distress unless asked?
No, we would have helped her either way. I meant bringing her back to you. It’s pretty obvious you hurt her.
It was not my intention-
-And what exactly was your intention? Huh? You stopped speaking to her and told her that you regretted your marriage. I don’t care if you wanted the best, what you did was cruel.
… I am not required to explain myself to you of all people, Noctis. Await for me in Lestallum, just as we discussed.
Noctis hung up with a disgruntled expression. Ravus wasn’t the warmest of men, but he wasn’t without feelings, especially if he cared about Luna. “He’s still stubborn.” Ignis remarked from the back seat and Gladiolus hummed in agreement.
“I don’t like this, Noct.” Prompto shook his head in the passenger’s seat, turning to address his friend, who flew the Regalia Type F towards their destination. “Y/N… she trusted us, and we’re just going to hand her back to the person she ran away from? It’s not right.”
“None of us want to do this,” Gladio interjected, looking up from his book. “But Lady Lunafreya asked us to.”
Prompt still appeared unsure, his brows furrowing in doubt, “I know that, but the way Ravus treated Y/N… it wasn’t right.”
“The High Commander isn’t without flaws, Prompto. The least we could do is provide an opportunity for the couple to settle their problems in a calm and mature manner.” Ignis offered, looking down at the woman that slept across his and Gladio’s laps.
“She’s going to hate us.” The sharpshooter bemoaned, sinking into his seat steadily, an anguished expression displayed on his freckled face.
Noctis laughed from his place in the pilot’s seat, already he could see Lestallum not far ahead. “I doubt he’ll hate us. Maybe a bit annoyed, but if she’s anything like how Luna described, she’ll forgive us.”
“I dunno, Prince Noctis. My annoyance is reaching peak levels right now.”
“Holy shit!”
The Chocobros started when you spoke up, and the Regalia Type F gave a rather violent lurch when Noctis pressed on the gas pedal, sending all of you flying backwards into your seats at the sudden acceleration. Prompto, having been seated sideways, ended up getting his left arm pressed uncomfortably against his body. Gladiolus lost his grip on his book, sending it crashing into his face with a grunt. Noctis and Ignis were fine, having been seated correctly, but your body had responded to the sudden lurch by flipping. And you found yourself pressing your face against Ignis’s abdomen, arms thrown around the younger man, yelping, “I said that I was annoyed, not that I’d rather die than see Ravus!”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Around twenty minutes later, the Regalia touched down on the road outside Lestallum, most of you none the worse for wear, except maybe the Prince’s ego, which sported a bruise from your vicious scolding.
Since you weren’t keen on accidentally rolling off Gladiolus and Ignis should the landing go badly, you’d settled with sitting in the middle seat of the Regalia, arms crossed and a scowl on your face, still annoyed that Ravus and Luna had gotten the future King of Lucis to find you. “I feel like a bounty, damn it.” you muttered as the car drove the tunnel leading towards Lestallum.
“It’s not like we wanted to bring you back to him.” Prompto tried to reason looking so much like a kicked puppy that you were tempted to name him your son. “Isn’t it healthier to just talk to Ravus about your problems? You know? Instead of leaving?”
You sighed and shook your head, scowl going away as you explained, “I’ve tried to speak to him many times, Prompto.”
The blonde cocked his head to the side, turning in his seat to look at you better from the front seat, “And?”
“My husband could barely look at me for more than a few seconds when I was in his company, much less stay around me long enough to talk about our marital problems.” Your eyes met with bright blue, “It was like he didn’t want me around, Prompto. Do you know what that’s like? To love someone that can’t even stand to be around you?”
His eyes shifted uneasily before meeting your own again, a strange seriousness expression on his face. “Yes.”
Your severe tone lessened, and the tension released from your shoulders, “Then you know that it wasn’t as if I didn’t want to speak to Ravus.”
Prompto nodded, “He pushed you away.”
And you left the conversation at that. Because why did you have to explain your actions when you weren’t the one at fault? You were tired of playing the game society liked to play. You weren’t going to let the fault lie on your shoulders. Not for this failed marriage. If Ravus wished to confront you about your decisions, you would let him. And if he realized his mistake and wished to make amends, you would make him beg for your return.
It was true that love dies when growth stops, but the growth had to be from both partners in a relationship. Like a dance, both partners had to participate in the movements in order to achieve a smooth waltz. And this entire time, you had been pulling Ravus along.
Your eyes narrowed as you watched the sun begin to set.
No. It was time Ravus danced with you, or you would leave for good.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Within moments the Regalias had been parked in the parking lot overlooking the Disc of Cauthess, and you were riding piggyback on Gladio as they led you to the Leville, the hotel where they were staying at. It was in the rather luxurious room that they rented out for you, that they set you down on the bed and started to treat your leg.
However, having taken off your pants to treat the cuts better, and wearing only a sheet to cover your bottom half, said treatment of your injured leg, wasn’t going well at all. As three minutes into cleaning the wounds, you’d nearly knocked Iggy unconscious when you had to kick off the stinging sensations.
“NO!” You squealed, trying to move away from Ignis’s hands. It had been a rough battle between your intolerance of pain and the cotton swab bathed in hydrogen peroxide within Iggy’s fingers, but you’d lost in the end, and had promptly started to resist Ignis’s attempts to help the entire way. And in your attempts to get away, you’d backed up on the bed, somehow climbing on top of Gladio’s lap, the sheet sliding off your leg, giving everyone in the room a nice look at your panties.
And that was what Ravus walked into a few moments later, freezing at the door and taking in the fact that Noctis was currently covering his face in embarrassment in a corner of the room, you were seated on top of Gladio’s lap hands grasping any part of the younger man’s body to keep from falling, while Ignis had a hand on your injured leg, trying to dab at the cuts, and Prompto was trying to cover your legs back up with the bed sheet. And while it seemed as if you were viciously fighting against the care, Ravus could see that you were actually enjoying yourself as you playfully bantered against their protests, teasing them for their embarrassment for you, and hissing for Ignis to get the cotton ball of evil away from your leg.
And try as he might, because you were his wife and not any of theirs, Ravus was jealous that you were so much more carefree and open around the younger men. That despite being married to you for more than a year, Ravus had rarely seen you so happy and cheerful except during the very early days of your relationship. Had this been what he had pushed away in his stubbornness? Was he willing to let go of what could be?
Looking at you, hissing playfully at the younger men, and teasing Gladiolus, Ravus was tempted to let you go so that you could find happiness in a man that didn’t act so cold and stoic. So that you could have a chance to fall in love with a man who could laugh with you in such a carefree manner. But Ravus couldn’t let you go. He’d loved you since that dance with you so long ago. He’d loved the smiles you aimed at him when he did something sweet for once. He’d loved your voice, your face, as you greeted him in the mornings. He’d loved how you always seemed to find time to help him relax and forget his worries. And yet, he’d somehow ended up pushing you away. Had somehow fooled himself into believing that you were one of the reasons his life was so stressful as of late. But it hadn’t been you. You had been the one to keep the stress abay. You had been there to hold him when his entire will threatened to crumble.
And at the thought that you were mere moments away from never being in his arms again… it sent Ravus into a pit of despair.
He’d lost his mother so many years ago, and it had changed him into this cold and callous man who feared losing his loved ones. Perhaps it wouldn’t be in the same tragic manner that he lost his mother, but he couldn’t bear to lose you as well. Not you, who’d loved him for all he was for so long. No, Ravus decided with a glare, he couldn’t bear to be without your love.
“And what do you all think you’re doing?” the High Commander hissed, his irritation leaking into his voice just the slightest bit.
As if somebody had just died, the room went completely silent, the smiles falling off everyone’s faces as you all rushed to right yourself from such a compromising situation, albeit an enjoyable and amusing one. You didn’t acknowledge Ravus at the door as you gently snatched the sheet from Prompto’s hands and laid it over your exposed legs, scooting off of Gladio’s lap.
Ignis, meanwhile, cleared his throat, removed his hands from your legs, and stood from his position knelt on the floor. “We were treating Ms Y/N’s wounds.”
“It did not seem as if you were merely cleaning my wife’s wounds.” Ravus’s heterochromic eyes narrowed in agitation before dismissing the four men with a curt wave of his hand, “Leave. I will tend to my wife by my lonesome.”
Not needing to be told twice, the four men slowly made their way out of the room, not wanting to be stuck in the middle of a lover’s quarrel. You whimpered subtlely when Prompto moved away, but all the young man could do was meet your gaze and give you a reassuring smile before moving away, closing the door behind him as he left.
For a long while, Ravus merely stood near the entrance of the room, watching you as you resumed treating your wounds with the cotton swab that Ignis had left behind. Every so often you would wince when you accidently grazed the stitches, taking in a sharp breath and pausing. Once again, you had yet to acknowledge your husband. No. I’ll make him come to me for once. You thought, wanting to see if your husband could bring himself to acknowledge you first after saying that you were a mistake.
But that being said, such a thing was strange to Ravus. He’d never had to apologize for his harsh actions before, as, in his eyes, they were all justified. Which made it all the more difficult for the man to apologize now, when he knew that he was so clearly in the wrong. He didn’t know if anything he could do could make up for what he’d said how he treated you. He didn’t even know if you could or would accept his unworthy apologies. To Ifrit, Ravus didn’t even know if you should accept his apology. So the man did the only thing his body let him do.
He cried.
It was silent at first, a steady few drops down his pronounced cheekbones and down his face. No noise, no indication of the change in his expression to alert you to turn your head. And then, at your continued dismissal of his presence, the tears fell gradually faster, shining current down his handsome and remorseful face. And then, Ravus whimpered, “Y/N… P-please.”
The broken voice he’d said your name in caused you to turn your head in abject alarm. You’d never seen your husband cry before. And when you were able to fully take in the remorse, guilt, melancholy, and love on his face, you decided that Ravus had finally come to meet you in the middle of your dance, and reached out your arms to your husband, “Come here, Ravus.”
Despite being in his late twenties, Ravus felt like a boy in the manner in which he’d rushed into your arms, pulling you into his body as he pressed his face into the crook of your neck, coating the skin there in his tears. “I’m sorry. I love you. I’m so sorry. Forgive me. Please. I love you. So much.” it was all he could say, all that his brain could let him blurt out as he held your body close, disbelieving that you were allowing him to hold you after how he’d treated you, that you were holding him back, that you were pressing kisses to the crown on his head, that you were comforting him when it should have been the other way around a mere few weeks ago. “Don’t leave me. Please. Don’t go. I’m sorry, Y/N.” He continued to sob, allowing the boy from so long ago to escape the icy facade for this one person. The person he realized had cherished him the most, and that he cherished as well.
Eventually, Ravus’s crying stopped, but he still held onto you like a lifeline, his arms wrapped around you in a vice grip. “Ravus.” you whispered his name into his beautiful platinum locks, and your husband only hummed in reply, burying his face into your neck more, pressing a gentle kiss to the hollow of your neck in acknowledgement. “I forgive you, Ravu-”
You were cut off by the longing and desperate kiss that Ravus pressed to your lips, and when your husband drew back only a mere centimeter, you were pleased to hear him say, “I love you, Y/N. I couldn’t live with myself if you were not by my side. I was a fool, Y/N-” It was your turn to cut your husband off, pressing a loving and demanding kiss to his soft lips as you pushed him down to the bed and he went willingly, returning the kiss and running his hands up and down your sides.
Finally, you weren’t dancing alone anymore.
