I’m really excited about the new trailer that dropped yesterday and the second season which starts airing in only just about a month! What better occasion to post another photo of my Gil-galad cosplay that I made just prior to season 1.

I couldn’t wait editing one of the photos we took today of my Gil-galad cosplay. I wanted to do a proper autumn shoot with Gil-galad and while I almost chose another cosplay to wear, in the last minute I returned to my decision to wear this cosplay, and I’m so glad I did.

Originally I planned to post another one of the results of our cosplay vacation today but today is ROP day, and I absolutely loved the episode, so here is a battle-ready Gil-galad instead. Well, maybe not exactly battle-ready, but I definitely need to make a full armor for him now.

It’s finally time for season 2 tomorrow and what better way to celebrate that than by posting one of my favourite cosplay photos. It’s from that very first photo session two years ago, a few weeks before the show even started.

I spot a pattern of making cosplays before the seasons even begin. 😅

Anyway, I look very much forward to the next season and I can’t wait to see more of the costumes that we already saw glimpses of in the promo material.

This is the cosplay I ambitiously finished within two weeks exactly back in July/August. Gil-galad had been on my cosplay list for a while, but with pretty low priority, until the golden costume from the Rings of Power series caught my eye. Since I am more confident in armor it was clear to me that the torso part would be armor instead of a tunic. It was too good an opportunity to not do a mash-up between the LotR and the ROP costume, with ROP as the base and two beautiful elements from LotR Gil-galad.
