This is the Christmas Station ID of TV5 in 2010. The Christmas Station ID was themed “Maligayang Pasko, Kapatid! In the Service of the Filipino”. The Station ID is accompanied with the Christmas version of “Para Sa’yo Kapatid” performed by Filipino singer, songwriter, rapper, dancer, television host, actor and comedian Ogie Alcasid and his wife Regine Velasquez who is also an OPM singer and songwriter. But somehow, Ogie Alcasid and Regine Velasquez also performed the original version of the “Para Sa’yo Kapatid” in June 30, 2010.

The Christmas Station ID was launched in December 1, 2010 which is the same thing that the “Da Best ang Pasko ng Pilipino” music video was released from ABS-CBN.

Somehow, Mel Tiangco, Howie Severino, Dominic Roco, Felix Roco and twin sisters Anne Curtis and Jasmine Curtis-Smith don’t appear in the Christmas Station ID at this point.

The Christmas Station ID theme will be re-used in the 2011 Christmas Station ID from TV5 which is “Magpasaya ang Kapatid” but with minor changes and explosions. Somehow, The explosions at the very end will occur in the 2015 Christmas Station ID which is “Happy Ka Dito Ngayon Pasko” which will feature special guests like Rufa Mae Quinto, Julia Montes, Cristine Reyes, Dimples Romana, Alex Gonzaga, Roxanne Guinoo, Angelica Panganiban and Valerie Concepcion waving at the end.

It’s been a few months after that conversation I accidentally heard about myself, it created a whole new vibe between us, it made things even more awkward and quiet between us. Nate didn’t apologised and I haven’t talked about it with him but today I was with Gilbert, he wanted me to follow him for today. He was kind and let me film everything, everything that I thought that’s good footage for a mini documentary about Gilbert Melendez. “That was a strong scene.” He says as we were looking at all the footage at the end of the day. “Yes very raw in emotions.” I pointed out and he smiles proudly. “Y/n you have a real talent, you see these things so clearly, it’s amazing.” I blushed at his compliment and shook my head. “It’s not that special, I only record these moments.” He grabbed my hand and squeezed in it. “Y/n, the way you capture these moments it’s really good.” I shyly smiled and nodded. “Thank you Gilbert, it means a lot to me.” “No problem, I know you have a difficult time with Nate at the moment but he will appreciate your work when it’s finished.” I fiddled with my hands and slowly nodded. “I know…it’s just not motivating me when you know that you’re not wanted, that they don’t want you around them.” I sighed and hung my head low, feeling a bit sad. “I know and you don’t have to do this.” “ I know but it’s a good opportunity, I need this Gilbert.” He patted my shoulder. “I know, it will get better, I promise you that.” I smiled and nodded. “Thank you for your kind words, they mean a lot to me.”

I was tagging along today, from press events to going out in Vegas. The group was chilling around, I was recording Kay as she was dancing, giving me a few air kisses. “Y/n come dance with me.” I shook my head and she giggles. “You are always behind that thing.” I stopped recording her and lowered my camera. “Come on, let’s dance.” She stepped closer, grabbing my arm. “Kay, my camera.” “It’s a small one, just put it back in your bag.” I sighed and grabbed my bag and put it in. “I’ll watch your bag, go have fun.” Nick says as he takes my bag from the ground, placing it next to him with Kayla’s purse. “Thanks.” He gave me a reassuring smile. I walked back to Kay and started to dance with her, she was holding my hands as she giggled the whole time. “Nate is looking at you.” She says as she twirls me. “No he isn’t.” She nodded and was all giggle. ‘She drunk.’ “He’s checking you out, I think he secretly likes you.” I shook my head and laughed. “Kay, you are so drunk.” We both giggled and danced the whole night together.

Nate POV

I was looking at y/n, who was having fun with Kayla. “Like what you see?” Gilbert says as he gives me my beer. “I’m not looking at her.” He nods with a sly smile on his face. “I didn’t say anything about who you were looking at.” ‘Busted.’ “Man don’t be like this. Being all smart and shit.” He laughed and shook his head. “She single tho.” I hit his arm. “Shut up, I’m not looking for a woman like her.” He shrugged his shoulders and took a sip from his drink. “I’m only trying to help you.” He turned his back to talk to the rest, my eyes went slowly back to her. Seeing her like that, happy and enjoying herself made me feel jealous. ‘Why can we not be friends?’

The night went by fast and Nick wanted to go back to our hotel. “Let’s go back, Kay is finished.” She was hanging against y/n as she was trying to hold Kay up. “Nick I’m sorry but your girlfriend over here…” he got up and took Kay from her. “Thank you.” He nodded and Kay started to giggle. “Hello handsome.” Nick smiled and shook his head. “How many did you have?” She giggles again and lay her head on his chest. I looked at y/n, she was looking at them, a small smile on her face, totally adoring them. I grabbed her bag and gave it to her. “Your bag, we are leaving.” She smiled and took it from me. “Thanks.” Her cheeks were a bit rosy and she looked a bit shy. ‘She’s tipsy.’ I nodded and looked around, everyone was getting up and got ready to leave. “Come, let’s go.” She followed me through the club, holding my arm as she followed behind me.

The cold night hit us all as we walked through vegas to our hotel. Nick had his arm wrapped around Kay, holding her close. Jake had his new girl wrapped in his arms as well. Gilbert and Keri walked hand in hand. “Y/n take a picture of us.” Kayla says to her. She grabs her phone and snaps a picture. “Cute.” She says making Kayla giggling. “Send me that one.” “I’m already doing that.” Everyone was laughing and having fun as I felt a bit lonely as I saw I’m the only one without a girl. “Nate.” Y/n softly said as she pointed the her phone at me, probably making a video. I immediately flexed my arm and she softly giggles. ‘She looks cute when she does that.’ I immediately cussed at myself for thinking like that. ‘Stop! She isn’t cute or anything. You’re drunk Nate.’ She walked away, going to Gilbert and Keri. ‘I really need a girlfriend.’

I woke up with a small headache. I groaned and slowly got up, getting ready for breakfast. I quickly showered and changed myself in something new and comfortable. I grabbed my bag, changed the battery of my camera and went downstairs. Keri and Gilbert were already waiting for us in the lobby. “Hey guys.” They waved and Keri gave me a hug. “Hi, did you sleep well?” Gilbert gave me a hug as well and I sat down next to Keri. “Yes but I’m having a headache.” She lightly pats on my leg. “I know, me too girl.” “I’m dead.” Kayla and Nick walked up, she looked tired. “Yes you do.” Keri says as we both greeted them. Kay sat next to me as Gilbert stood up, making some room for us. “I’m so hungry.” Keri says “Yeah me too.” Kay and I said to her. Jake and his girl walked up and Nate was strolling behind them. “Everyone is here, let’s go.” Gilbert says and we all got up, following him to the breakfast area. I greeted Jake and his girlfriend, Nate walked away from me, without saying anything to me. ‘Weird, maybe he’s tired.’ We all got our food and sat down, I was sitting next to Kay and Nate. “Hi.” I softly said to him, he briefly looked at me, flashing me a kind smile. “Hey.” He says quietly back. ‘He’s tired, better to leave him alone.’ I turned my head to Kay and started a conversation with her instead.

“Let’s do something fun but not super active.” Keri says as we were trying to find something to do with our free day. “Let’s go bowling.” Kayla says, Nick nods as he likes that idea. “Nahh not again.” Jake says annoyed. They were all bickering over what we should do. I stayed quiet, trying to follow the conversation. “What do you want?” Nate softly asked me, I turned my head to look at him, he raised his eyebrows and I shrugged my shoulders. “I don’t know, what do you want to do?” He shrugged as well. “We could go for a walk or just hang out.” He was cracking his fingers as he was talking to me. “I like to take a walk, just nothing too crazy.” He nods and sits back into his chair, his hand went to his head as he changes his cap backwards. “I’m going for a walk with y/n, we need some more content for the docu.” He says, Kayla nudged my arm and I shoot her a glare. “Okay, we’ll have fun. We are going for golfing. We eat dinner at the restaurant Jake chose.” Nate nodded and got up. “Okay, see ya guys.” I waved them Goodbye and followed Nate through the hotel. “I know a good place to walk, they have a small park close by.” “Okay, lead me the way.”

Nate POV

We both walked quietly through the park, watching some birds fly by. “I miss home.” She quietly says. “You do?” She was travelling with me for a couple of weeks, we haven’t been back to Stockton for a while. “Yeah…” she tucked her hands away in her jacket. “You don’t have to follow me everywhere, you can go home for a few weeks, Steve does this with Nick as well.” She nods and kicks a small rock away. “I know but I want to do this…it’s weird, we are not even close I’m sorry.” “No it’s okay, I understand.” She gave me a sad smile. “No You don’t but it’s okay.” She grabbed her camera and took a few pictures of our surroundings as I was silently watching her. ‘Maybe we can be like this, just friends.’

Another trilogy all combat sports fans should watch thru if they have not done so yet. The two title fights between Maynard and Edgar don't really get talked about much nowadays but they were two classic lightweight title fights. I also think it was the end of an era for the division. We suddenly got an influx of talent in guys like Benson Henderson, Donald Cerrone, Anthony Pettis, and Gilbert Melendez, who came in from other promotions and took up the spotlight at 155lbs afterwards.

But eventually, The Christmas Station ID featured an explosion where Ivan Dorschner accidentally sliced a bomb with an Excalibur sword which nearly exploded on him which also broke the fourth wall by accident. However, The opening features the voice of Peter Musgñi who is the voiceover of ABS-CBN whenever he narrates about Christmas and even the people they lost which made people cry or even depressed.

Sadly, The Christmas Station ID did not feature Regine Velasquez because she was busy handling with her son Nate Alcasid. Also, Belle Mariano, Charlie Dizon, Dominic Roco and his younger brother Felix Roco don’t appear in the Christmas Station ID as well.

Somehow, The Christmas Station ID will be re-used in 2013 which will be known as “DisyembRegalo”.

Nate POV

Gilbert was showing us the photos she had made the other day. “Damn these are good, Nate you sure you don’t want her to follow you around?” Jake says with a sly smile on his face. “No, I’m good. This is not a world for young women like her, she probably never been to a fight before.” Gilbert chuckles and shook his head. “What?” He waves me off and continues to look through these pictures. “No, tell me Melendez.” He stops and looks at me. “Nate her brother is a fighter, I know him he’s decent okay, so she probably knows what’s it like.” I huffed and shook my head again. “I still don’t want her to follow me around like a lost puppy.” Gilbert shrugged his shoulders and looked back at the pictures. “Sure thing man, then I’m going to ask her if she wants to follow me around as a lost puppy.” Jake chuckles and I stormed off, getting away from them as fast as possible.

Nick stopped by our parent’s house with his girlfriend Kayla. They talked about maybe moving in together, about Nick fighting again and about Steve, the documentary guy. “I heard from Jake that you want a documentary about yourself too.” Nick asks as he passes the bong to me. “I was only thinking about it, they made this thing bigger than it really is.” I took a hit from it and passed it back to him. “Maybe they are right, you are still fighting and it might be a good opportunity for you.” I moved my cap backwards and sat further back down in my seat. “Gilbert found someone, a young girl. A sister of a friend of him.” He nods and places the bong down on the table in front of us. “She good?” I shrugged my shoulders. “Don’t know, Gilbert says she is.” He hums and pats my arm. “Just try it out, Gilbert is not stupid tho.” I fiddled with the strings of my hoodie and slowly nodded. “Yeah maybe.”

I was reading my book as I got a call, a phone number that I don’t know. I picked it up and cleared my throat before answering. “Hello with y/l/n.” I was laying on my stomach in my bed, waiting for an answer. “Uhh hi, it’s Nate, Nate Diaz. I’m a friend of Gilbert.” His voice sounded a bit lowered and nervous as he spoke through the phone. “Hi Nate, how are you?” I was nervous, Nate Diaz was calling me, a legend in the mma ufc sport. “Good, how are you?” I smiled and hummed. “I’m good thank you for asking.” I heard he was clearing his throat. “I’m calling you because you do these projects right? For photos and videos.” “Yes I do, why?” “I was wondering if you could do something like that for me, more like a documentary about my life.” I was kicking my feet in the air and tried not to squeal out from happiness. “Uhh yes I could do that if you want.” “That would be nice.” I took a deep breath and nodded, knowing he could not see me. “Yeah, can we meet up, you know to talk about this stuff in person.” “Sure, I’m every day in the week in the gym, you can stop by if you want.” “Great, I’ll see you then.” “Okay, see ya.” He hang up immediately and I did a happy dance in my bed. “Oh my god, this is so awesome!”

I was stopping by the gym to talk to Nate about his plans for a documentary. Of course there are some things I want to know and so does he. He was standing there in a corner, talking to a few guys. “Hi.” They turned around and looked at me. “Hey y/n.” Gilbert says and flashes me a smile. I looked at Nate and shyly smiled. “I don’t know if you have time for me today, if you don’t I come back another time.” Jake immediately shook his hands, waving that idea off the table. “He has time enough to talk to you.” Nate just ignores him and walks away. “Let’s talk.” He says as he passes me by. “Okay, see ya.” I waved the rest goodbye and followed Nate to his office. “You want something to drink?” “No thanks.” I sat down in front of him, he leans back in his chair, looking not very interested in what I was going to say or do. “Just tell me how much and how long you are going to follow me.” I was surprised by his only question but I shyly smiled and nodded. “I’m not asking much, only to cover some basic things, like hotel, travelling transportation and a small fee, how long is up to you. Most people do like a year maybe longer.” He nods and stands up. “Okay, you’re in.” He opens the door and guides me back into the gym. “Oh okay, when do I start?” “Whatever you want, just one thing, when I say stop, you stop okay?” I nodded and he gave me a small smile. “Good, I’ll see ya around then.” With that he joins the rest again. ‘I’m in…’

Nate pov

“And?” Gilbert asks as I walked back to them. “She’s hired.” I nonchalantly said. Gilbert smiled and patted my back. “I’m proud of you.” They all laughed and I pushed him away. “Shut up Melendez.” I heard a door closing and looked behind us. She walked away, probably going back home. “She’s cute.” Jake says as Nick snickers. “Nahh she’s not my type.” I said and nodded at my brother. “Let’s go train.” He nods and we went back to our training as the others smiled at us, teasing me for having a girl who’s going to follow me for a whole year.

—— the next day——

Y/n was already at the gym, she had her camera ready and smiled at me when I entered the gym. “Hi, good morning.” I nodded slightly and gave her a fist bump. “Hey.” She friendly smiled and followed me through the gym. “I was thinking about our conversation from yesterday and maybe we can have each other’s number…it’s just that I know where you are, to film you of course.” She was slightly nervous, rambling her words. “Sure.” I started to stretch my muscles and she stood there, awkwardly waiting for me. “You want it now?” She nods and I sigh. “Okay, I’m telling it only once because I really need to train, my number is….” I was telling her my personal phone number and she was writing it down in a blanco journal. “Can I do my thing now?” I raised my eyebrows and she nods again. “Okay thank you.” I started to stretch and saw her sitting down on a bench, writing in her journal as she now and then looks up, looking at me. ‘What is she writing in there?’

The others came in and started to stretch. “Sup.” Jake and my friend Nick gave me a hand. “No Melendez today?” They shook their heads. “No he’s training today with Josh.” Y/n says as she greeted the others. “Hey y/n.” Jake says and gives her a fist bump as he winks at me, Nick chuckles and shook his head. “First day?” She nods and films Jake. “What do you have to say about Nate.” He laughs and shrugs his shoulders. “He’s a good guy, good fighter. Sometimes a bit too much to handle.” He jokes and Nick laughs. “Okay stop, this is not going to be in the fucking docu.” She immediately nodded and sat back on the bench, like she was in trouble. “That’s mean man.” Nick says as I looked over, she was writing in her journal again. ‘I don’t think she stays here for long.’

Y/N pov

I sat down and wrote down the time, place and conversation that isn’t going to be used in the end results. I still save it just in case but it’s not going to be in the documentary. Gilbert warned me for this, Nate is a bit old school just like his older brother Nick, who I haven’t met yet. They don’t like women fighting or women being around the fights. Josh is just like that as well, hates it when our mom and I come and support him so I understand why he’s being like this but who knows our relationship will be at the end of this year.

—— a month later ——

Nate was getting ready for his fight. I was there for the whole time, recording all most everything. “Y/n please stop now for a moment.” He says to me as he wants to go to take a shower. “Okay. You’re safe.” I stopped recording and lowered my camera. “I’m waiting for you outside.” He nods and I walked out of his locker room. I was writing down in my journal some useful information as I stood outside waiting for him. “Hey y/n, I hope my brother is not too stern with you.” Nate’s older brother Nick walked up to me and gave me a brotherly hug. “He’s okay.” He smiles friendly and enters the locker room. Kayla his girl walks up and hugs me. “Hi girl, how are you?” I returned the hug and smiled at her. “Hi Kay, I’m doing fine, how are you.” She smiles happily and nods. “I’m fine as well, could be better but you know just….trying to be positive.” I nodded because I understood exactly what she meant. “Yeah me too.” She rubs my shoulder and gave me a sad smile. “I know.” The door went open and the two brothers walked out. “Let’s go back home and relax.” ‘His Home. That means I’m not invited.’ “Tomorrow same time?” I asked as I grabbed my bag. Nick and Kay looked puzzled at me. “You’re not coming?” Kay asks. I slowly shook my head. “No, I’m busy with this and I need to transfer it to my computer and…you know.” She gave me a look and knew it was bullshit. “Okay…that’s a shame because I really wanted to hang out with you.” She looked between me and Nate, Nate didn’t say anything just shrugging his shoulders. “Sorry Kay, next time okay?” She nods and hugs me. “You’re not allowed?” She whispers in my ear as we hugged, I nodded and pulled back. “I’ll see ya guys later.” I waved them goodbye and went to my bike as rain was pouring down. ‘Oh fucking great, maybe they can give me a ride back home.’

Nate pov

She waved us goodbye and left. Kay immediately slapped my arm. “Hey, what’s that for?” She looked angry. “You are a real douche bag.” Nick looked surprised just like me. “Don’t look at me like that Nate, you don’t invited her to your house. That’s a real low blow from you.” I was getting a bit angry about her attacking me like this. “It’s my house, I don’t want her there, I don’t like her, she’s not my fucking friend Kayla.” I said angrily. “You don’t like me?” I looked at the front door as she stood there, hurt by my words. ‘Shit.’ “Y/n I didn’t mean it like that, I just want you to make this thing and then we are done anyway.” Kayla shook her head as I just made it even worse. “I understand, uhh okay, see ya.” She closed the door and went away. “Idiot.” Kayla says and follows her. “That was a big mistake man, I don’t understand why she can’t come to your house, Steve is hanging a lot around mine, that’s when the real you is visible or do you want a documentary about you fighting.” “No but I just don’t feel comfortable if she’s there.” He smiles and pats my back. “You’re just afraid you fall even harder for her, Nate she not a bad person, she understands that it’s your private space, just don’t be like this it’s not you.” With that he went out to search Kay, leaving me all alone in the middle of the gym. Feeling like a total loser.
