Ahem here’s an ask: what’s a tradition the gang loves to do (like maybe on someone’s birthday, new year, etc?)
*also just wanna say HOPE YOURE DOING WELL ❤️*
*turns into a crab and does a crab jig* YEAAAAH
I'm not just gunna give you ONE tradition I'm gunna give you A WHOLE BUNCH because boy I love my bullet points so sit and have some tea
FOR THEIR BIRTHDAYS:
On T.C.'s birthday they do a bit of a Christmas in July type thing (partly as a callback to that stupid ass episode I hate) and also because his favorite holiday is Christmas. They don't go very overboard but they do bust out the eggnog and Christmas wrapping paper for his presents. They also have an eensy weensy tree just for the occasion (probably the one Brain digs out of the trash in The Movie)
They go to the beach on Benny's birthday and they go no matter what because of this one time where it was really windy out but T.C. insisted they go anyway cos he already paid for towels n shit and when they got there it was so windy that Benny and Brain got blown away. So now it's an inside joke and they also bury T.C. in the sand every time as punishment lmao
They don't usually do anything special for Chooch's birthday because he usually can't think of anything but every time without fail he wants a strawberry pie. So they always get him a strawberry pie no matter the costs. Yes they have stolen a few for him.
Since Spook's birthday is on Halloween (of course) they celebrate his birthday during the day and at night they throw a huge Halloween rager where all of the alley cats are invited as per Spook's request. Spook is also entirely in charge of the gang's costumes and usually coordinates everyone with a theme. Like one time they were all Ghostbusters, another time they were all classic monsters, they did a Super Mario theme one time etc.
Fancy's birthday usually falls on Thanksgiving or sometime around it so Nonna usually flies in from Italy to make a big Italian feast for Fancy and the gang, and on the few times it doesn't she makes one anyway and then sticks around to help the gang make a traditional Thanksgiving meal. Fancy always gets a pumpkin pie for his birthday because of course.
Unfortunately Brain's birthday is April 1st, April Fools Day. However the rest of the gang and Dibble agreed that they're only allowed to pull 1 harmless prank on him collectively, and absolutely NOBODY ELSE EVER is allowed to prank him (Except maybe Kurt but his fate is currently unknown to you 🤭). Brain can prank all the people he wants though, and he actually looks forward to the gang's prank because he feels really smart if he figures out what the prank is before it happens and he gets an extra birthday treat if he figures it out. If he doesn't figure it out though it's always a prank that he'll find funny, like one time they put Pedro in a police officer costume so that it would look like there were two Dibble's walking around.
I stole this idea from a sitcom I don't remember the name of but on Dib's birthday they ALWAYS try to plan a surprise party for him but he ALWAYS figures it out because detective skills and whatnot, they've only ever managed to surprise him once and all it took was T.C. getting accidentally pepper sprayed by Dib 💃
ACTUAL HOLIDAYS:
T.C. goes fucking I N S A N E with the Christmas decorations. The alley gets absolutely DECKED TO THE FUCKING HALLS it's almost repulsive. He's one of those people who would start putting decorations up in October if Spook wouldn't beat him up for it. And he always forces the gang to wear ugly Christmas sweaters and take a Christmas picture to send to relatives like the good mom he is :3
I already talked about Halloween but I will also say that Spook makes it his mission to scare the shit out of everybody (Except for Dibble because if I know anything about trying to scare a policeman it's a bad idea)
For St. Patrick's Day they always volunteer to help Pedro with his float for the parade because of course and Dibble's Irish heritage fully possesses him as well. After the parade Pedro takes the gang and his cousin out to a pub for appetizers and drinks.
For the Murica day Dibble busts out da grill and becomes a griller dad and makes sure the gang doesn't have any illegal fireworks or whatever. One year Spook nearly blew up the alley with some firecrackers and Roman candles that went awry.
Yeah there you go sorry that one took so long as well Tumblr deleted half of the post and I got angry smh anyways I'm doing pretty okay and I hope you're doing well too :3
#top cat#top cat 1961#top cat hanna barbera#top cat headcanons#y'know one time for the St. Patrick's Day parade I got to sit in a car with a really important Irish guy I forgot his name and his title bu#trust me#also since Dibble is Irish and a policeman I'm gunna say he's a member of the Emerald Society as well#also the more headcanons I make for Dibble the more I realize that he's scarily similar to my dad 😭

SPOILER ALERT FOR THE GHOSTBUSTERS: FROZEN EMPIRE TRAILER!! (long post, fyi)
youtube
Alright Ghostheads, I'm writing all this down now, so I won't forget all these thoughts and observations I'm having JUST a few hours after this awesome teaser for the "Afterlife sequel" has dropped.
I'm sure I'm missing some bits here, so comments are duly welcome, just don't go all negative energy on me =)
Definitely felt a similar vibe to when the first trailer for "Afterlife" came out like 2 years ago now. Normal summer day, good background music, then...sh*t happens. Even worse than that burst of PK energy from the mine shaft. And yeah, I saw bits of "Day After Tomorrow," I'd be lying if I didn't get JUST a little hint of that, but only because, you know, massive storm system overwhelming the south shore of Manhattan. But anyway.
2. I SWEAR that one building shot from the side is 55 Central Park West, aka Spook Central. Probably not significant plot wise this time, just a nod to the original movie. And considering I toured some of the filming sites on my trip to NYC this past summer, SURE looks like it!
3. Deadly icicles ripping up the streets? Like the earthquake tearing up the asphalt in the original movie only BETTER!
4. The discourse is already happening about details...I know some people like Ecto 1-A from GB2, and some fans are still angry about "they ignored it in Afterlife! It's so canon! WTF Jason Reitman?" Yeah...missing the point? [They're not DELIBERATELY ignoring GB2! I LIKED GB2! A lot! Not perfect but still I LIKE IT! Probably a lot more than other fans! The film only had so much time to focus on the past to keep the story moving, so only put in so much of the lore to help a new audience along. That's my theory I'm sticking to it.]
ANYWAY...yes the car IS the original Ecto 1, NOT the 1-A (which was WAY too busy for its own good, just sayin'). I saw the plate on a freeze frame, it's Ecto 1, the original.
5. Enter the exposition cut scenes. or whatever you want to call them. Swear to God that Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, Dan, McKenna, and Logan are NOT at Ray's Occult Books...I mean come on look at those glass cases! It's GOTTA be the NY Public Library (throwback!) Patton's character is most likely a staff member, probably a librarian (related to Alice? God I hope so!) [GBs do their research yo! If that's one thing I love about the IDW comics, is how Ray and Egon and Kylie RESEARCH.]
That one bit with the frozen dude with the eyepatch? Looks like a flashback. Like, maybe Manhattan in the...late 1800s? Recurring hauntings is def a thing in the GB universe. Another secret society? Which, yeah, they did to death (sorry) with the Gozer thing, especially in the video game.
6. Liking all the concerned closeups. Paul Rudd still looking good, and I REALLY hope Carrie Coon as Callie has full on dropped the baggage about not having her Dad in her life. Well, mostly. Turned me off from her QUITE a bit in Afterlife, but that's just me. Finn's hair lookin' good short, love how McKenna still rocks the OshKosh look, and Logan with the retro vibe.
7. James Acaster HAS TO BE an adult Oscar. I WILL fight people on this =) Not Louis' kid, not Janine's... (well, maybe?) Peter and Dana are OFFICIALLY still a couple, what's to stop Peter from adopting the boy he saved in GB2? Or at least, maybe they have their own kid later on...? Damn I hope he's Oscar. I mean come on, this is still "Ghostbusters: the Next Generation" in my mind.
8. HAUNTED LION STATUE!!! (Yeah, that's right from Real Ghostbusters...kinda) It's the Library! And on another freeze frame...it's going after Ray (GASP!) That little elevator? Maybe they're going to...Special Collections? Remember the video game? Maybe? Squee?
9. DUDE, it's attacking GBHQ! Blew the freakin' doors off! It's gonna...NO NOT LUCKY! Dude she (they?) is getting the short end of the stick again...first she gets possessed by Zuul and now...please don't kill off Lucky, Gil! Also OGBs FTW!!! yeah Winston! bad ass mf as always! And man does Pete look proper scared. Go Bill Murray!
10. I'm presuming that the big bad/entity was originally trapped and stored in the ECU, hence the blinking red light in the post credits scene from Afterlife. And it's whatever's pushing out the cinder blocks this time around...and freezing Lucky in the basement of HQ? And it's the...thing pushing its demon horns in...(so far others are calling it a minotaur - totally NOT. this guy is so reaching, i mean an old obscure RGB comic reference from a wiki page? dude, just...no. a cross between a White Walker and Slenderman? yeah THOSE I get. I'm personally thinking some ancient demon from a summoning gone wrong...or maybe right in this case.) any case, DUDE with those icy blue staring eyes and 20 feet tall...f*ck yeah.
11. Also F*CK yeah Paul and Carrie in the jumpsuits! YES!!!
12. Alright, I can sort of buy a hidden room in Kumail's character's (presumably?) apartment, secret door at the back of a kitchen pantry with some pretty lead/silver tiling...but, what's with the horn? (SUMMONING HORN! Read the Bartimaeus Trilogy people!) and the shackles? the bells? well, yeah noise to drive away evil spirits...or not? again... SECRET SOCIETY! Or maybe Lucky and Trevor have their own place now? Nah, maybe not...wait and see I guess.
13. Dude...Paul Rudd is TALL, boy! Would like to see if they've actually gone and married...or, too soon? Nah, romantic/life partners is good.
14. I WANT THAT RED WINTER JACKET WITH THE PATCH! SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
15. Also, Paul's reaction...SO my own after watching this. He is still fanboy-ing out and I LOVE IT.
Holy hell that was a long post. First genuine reactions on the day. Online journaling. All good.
OK peeps, let me have it. What are y'all thinking?
Until March 29!

FAQ:
What must be included in the content of a filled prompt? Stephen Strange (any version of him: film, TV, or comics) must be either the main or co-main character. Otherwise, anything goes!
What must be included in the tags of Tumblr and Twitter posts? Please use the hashtag #strangehalloween2023 and the # of the prompt you're filling (i.e. #no6 and/or #witch). On Tumblr, please include additional tags for NSFW and common triggers (see AO3 for examples).
When can I post my prompt fill? In the spirit of the theme, these should be posted in October! We'd prefer if you post prompts the day of or after the day has passed. For example, prompt 10 fills can be posted on or after Oct 10, and preferably not before.
What medium can I use? Anything! Written prose, poetry, gifsets, mood boards, artwork, all is acceptable as a prompt fill. It's all about Stephen Strange in any form he comes in.
Can I combine Strange Tales of Halloween prompts into one submission (i.e. #1 "What was that? Is somebody there?" and #6 witch)? Sure! If you post it on social media, you can use both prompt tags to help us identify it as such.
There are two prompts per day. Do I have to do both? You can use the sentence prompts, the words prompt, or do a mix of them!
Can I use this prompt list with other prompt lists/bingo cards? Absolutely! Combine it with any other event you'd like to use it with.
Are there any limits to how many prompts I can use/have to use? Nope! Participate with one piece or 31 pieces! Do as much as you'd like--we'll love to see it!
Any other questions? Send an ask to @a-strange-server and we'll get back to you soon. We can't wait to start seeing what you come up with come October!

🦇Happy Halloween Ghesties!👻
I haven't had a chance to write anything new for this year, but I would like to share my Halloween fic from last year that deserves more love!
Commissions are OPEN, please see pinned post for Carrd info!
Candy Wrappers
t's Halloween night at the Abbey, Papa IV/Copia decides to spend it sharing his love of horror films with ghoulette Cumulus and a sister of sin. The 3 decide to watch John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN and pig out on candy while it storms outside.
Also available HERE on AO3!
Read Halloween fluff below the cut!
“Oh Lucifer! He is right behind her isn’t he? I can’t watch.” Cumulus cried, pulling the throw blanket up over her eyes, almost knocking the bowl of candy from Copia’s lap. The thunder roared outside, the lights flickering a bit as the storm rolled on past the Abbey. It was Halloween night and they wouldn’t have many trick or treaters this year it seemed. Copia was determined that they could still have fun. He had put in an old VHS tape of HALLOWEEN from his collection and managed to convince Sister Ren and Cumulus to watch with him.
“God that mask is so unnerving.” Sister Ren said, grabbing another snickers from the bowl. Copia, nodding his head in agreement as he licked some residual chocolate from his fingertips. If it were up to him they would stay up all night and watch the classics. Poltergeist , The Exorcist , The Omen , so many horror gems he could muster from his collection.
“I don't see why we couldn’t have just watched Ghostbusters or Beetlejuice.” Cumulus griped. Copia was starting to regret turning it on. It was a well known fact that Cumulus did not handle scary well, being the Abbey’s resident scaredy cat. Despite her Hellish lineage, she would prefer to see people happy and smiling, not so much cut up into little pieces–even if it was all just pretend.
“Ghuleh, I did ask you if you wanted to watch…” Copia reminded her, she had gotten to this point of her own accord, “...you did say yes.” he said as Sister Ren passed him back the bowl of candy and rolled her eyes.
“I know it just…It scares me.” Cumulus admitted, a soft smile appearing over Copia’s face. He took her hand in his, her face still barely visible above the line of the blanket. The lights flickered again–the flash of lightning filling the sky outside and the inevitable crash of thunder rumbling the old bones of the Abbey. Cumulus’s heart pounded as she gripped the blanket tighter, storms also not her friend.
“Then we don't have to watch—” Copia began, pausing the movie. Sister Ren, was becoming aggravated with Cumulus’s whining and the continued stopping and starting of the film.
“Papa! I wanted to watch it though.” she pouted. Copia felt flustered, he didn’t want to upset either of them. All he wanted was to enjoy some relaxation after coming back from the tour and not deal with any more drama. This was proving to be quite the task indeed.
“It’s ok, I’ll watch.” Cumulus yielded, nestling herself deep into the sofa between the two of them. Before Copia could press play the storms flickered, the lights off and on once more, the movie restarting with the surge. Copia picked out a piece of candy, after rummaging through the half spent bowl as Cumulus curled next to him, her tail stiffened and tense. The movie continued and Sister Ren felt a sense of guilt pour over her.
It really isn’t that big of a deal if we can’t watch this particular movie , she thought to herself and then she remember something—a peace offering
Hey… Cumulus…” Ren began, tapping the ghoul lightly on the shoulder to gain her attention, Cumulus turning to face her. “I’m sorry—Truly. We can watch Beetlejuice if you really want to and I almost forgot. I got you something.” Ren apologized, pulling a bag of strawberries and cream lollie drops out from behind her and passing them to the ghoulette–Cumulus’s favorite.
“Oh Ren, thank you.” the ghoulette beamed, throwing her arms around the sister, tail wagging behind her–tickling Copia’s nose.
“Geez Cumulus don’t get too crazy over it, it’s just some candy.” Sister Ren said, Cumulus hugging her a bit too tightly.
“Oh sorry.” Cumulus said letting her go and realizing that Ren did care after all. The lights flickered off again.
“It may not matter anyways if this storm keeps messing with the power, maybe I should send the boys out to help with the generator.” Copia began, when suddenly the power came back on and the screen lit up with Michael Myers weidling his knife, front and center!
“Ah!” Cumulus screamed, quickly burying her face in Copia’s shoulder, sending the bowl of what were now wrappers flying into the air like confetti. The 3 of them were in for quite an interesting night indeed.

For the movie asks: 3, 11, 17
Thank you, @smalltownfae!
3. A movie you think is overrated?
Oh, the words I had about Lost in Translation right after watching it? Maybe it was because I was buzzed on an edible, but I absolutely thought that felt really overrated in the watching. Not bad, Johansson and Murray give some top-shelf performances, that choice of ambiguous dialogue at the very end is a great one, and I dig the point of this being a temporal crossroads between one's beginning and one's end, and the alienation behind being alone in a foreign country... but, by god, Japan's way too caricatured in this, especially the "lip my stockings" scene and the bit with the dart guns, and you can tell Sofia Coppola's still a bit inexperienced in not trusting the audience, given the on-the-nose A Soul's Search tape.
It's probably objectively artsy and "good," but compared to Paterson, First Cow, and even The Station Agent, it doesn't do that much for me.
11. A movie you wish you could un-watch?
Before yesterday, Encanto. The songs are catchy, I love the colors and visuals of this movie, Luisa is an all-timer design alone, so that's why I'd purge it and avoid a movie that needed either 10-15 more minutes to pace out the climax better, to prune out a few family members to give more narrative breath to the remaining ones, or turned into a Disney original TV show, an episode focused on a family member.
However, Ghostbusters: Afterlife made a solid case as a movie that I was better off not watching. Maybe I was just in a very tired mood by then, but it just rung as the most cynical "loving" nostalgia-bait cash grab, and that's even before you get into the ethical ramifications of CGI Harold Ramis of it, with a self-defensiveness streak to its jokes and a tepid climax that doesn't rise above the more dynamic middle part of ghostbusting.
17. A movie you never get tired of talking about?
Pig, Pig, Pig, Pig, Pig. Holy shit, Pig is really great.
I could go a lot into Nicholas Cage's acting (just a papered-over, stoic split scar of a man), Alex Wolff's acting (he's great all across, but his last scene is perfect, beautiful and gutting), the forest visuals, the parts' food titles, the way the foodie world there pops alive, the dialogue about the persimmon tree, the palpable grief intertwined with wounded nihilism suffusing the narrative, the restaurant scene, and its entire second half, and what it says about masculinity, prestige, performance, and art. All in a tight about 90 minutes? Hard to believe it's Sarnoski's directorial debut, but easy to believe Cage saying it's his best performance, hands down. There's such lovingly subtle and trusting collection of details for the audience to cotton on, I don't think I can ever shut up about it, given so few people have watched it, compared to Everything Everywhere All at Once.
I hope more people watch it, it's so textured and tender, just an amazing movie.

Ghost Girl Blog:
Okay, I admit, I'm 45 years old and I am OBSESSED with Ghostbusters. There, I said it! I have every Ghostbusters movie ever done. And I find it incredibly easy to read each of the characters. I mean, I grew up watching them and yes I remember when the 1984 first film came out. Heck, I remember my uncle with a boom box on his shoulder blasting the Ghostbusters theme song. Anyways without adeu; here's my analysis :
1) Egon Spengler. He's brainy, collects odd things, and a bit of an introvert.
2) Winston Zeddmore. Honest, kind of not-sure-about-this-gig-but-I-need-the-money kind of guy. But once he's sure, he enjoys his work
3) Peter Venkmann. He's a bit of a man that is vain. Kinda thinking that the whole world evolves around him. But underneath that obnoxious exterior lies a softie
4) Ray Stantz. He's a withheld dreamer. He saw a good thing in starting the Ghostbusters with Venkmann, but was a skeptic.
And there you have it. My analysis of the guys. Hope you enjoyed it. Drop me a line and tell me (no bullying) on whether or not you agree.

I mentioned in another post that I don't like sad Christmas songs (See "The Christmas shoes" as a prime example.) So here are my top ten favorite Christmas songs followed by my top ten favorite Halloween songs. 1. Welcome Christmas - from the end of How The Grinch Stole Christmas. I just always found this one to be heart-warming. 2. What's This? - Written and sung by Danny Elfman for Nightmare before Christmas it's the King of Halloween discovering the joy of Christmas. It's cute, fast paced and very up tempo. 3. Making Christmas - The folks in Halloween town attempt to do their own version of Christmas. Also by Danny Elfman for Nightmare before Christmas. 4. This time - This may have been an early version of "Making Christmas" and it sounds more like rock than the other songs Danny Elfman wrote for Nightmare before Christmas. It was never actually used so it's kind of obscure but you can hear it on Youtube and in the collection The Tim Burton / Danny Elfman music box." It was likely originally intended for the end credits of the movie. 5. Carol of the Bells - I can never really remember the words (Christmas English language version or the original Ukrainian folk chant) but I have a fondness for Carol of the Bells and it lends itself to other genres like power metal really easily. 6. Noel - Noel was a childhood favorite. I was given misinformation at age three or four that Noel was the name of an angel but I learned later that it was just the French word for Christmas. This was a childhood favorite and I still love it. 7. The Town Meeting song - Also from Nightmare before Christmas and composed by Danny Elfman this is Jack Skellington, the King of Halloween, trying to explain the joy of Christmas to his Halloween Town residents. It's cute. ("This is a thing called a present. The whole thing starts with a box...") 8. Finale (From Nightmare before Christmas) - Santa brings snow to Halloween Town and Jack returns Sally's love. It's sweet. 9. Monster's Holiday - The Monsters from the classic Monster Mash attempt a Christmas song. 10. Let it go - Though not originally intended as a Christmas song, this song now plays on a lot of Christmas radio stations. It's from Disney's Frozen and it's about The Snow Queen embracing her wintery power. It's about self-acceptance and letting go of fear of what others think. It's very empowering. 11. Bonus - The entire album of Have yourself a Scary Little Christmas from The Crypt Keeper (Tales from the Crypt). Most of it is parody Christmas Carols but there's a cute story if you play the whole thing, where the Crypt Keeper saves Santa Claus. Since I listed so many from Nightmare before Christmas here are a few more: 12. God Bless us Everyone from A Christmas Carol (stage musical and Kelsey Grammar movie.)
13. The love We've found - From the end of The Muppet Christmas Carol. I also really like the Marley(s) song Doomed and the one from the stage Christmas Carol "Link by Link" but they're not really the sort of thing you want to play at a Christmas party. I actually do like some of the sad Christmas songs but they're just hard to listen to. Where are you Christmas? was my mother's favorite and it's beautiful but really hard to listen to. I have similar feelings for Old Friend / Dear friend from The Christmas Toy. ___________________________ Halloween Songs: 1. This is Halloween by Danny Elfman (original demo version since I prefer when Danny Elfman sings it.) 2. Dead Man's Party by Danny Elfman / Oingo Boingo. 3. Weird Science by Danny Elfman / Oingo Boingo
4. Pet Sematary (Deliberately misspelt) - By The Ramones. For the Stephen King movie Pet Sematary. 5. Monster Mash - It's a classic but I am partial to the 1970s version sung by Vincent Price. 6. Thriller by Michael Jackson and Vincent Price. 7. Ghostbusters by Ray Parker Jr. 8. Fright Night - From the movie Fright Night, by the J. Geils Band. 9. You won't Survive - By Count Crow - This is a parody version of "I will Survive" sung by Count Dracula. It's a little obscure but I love it. 10. Horror in Action - By Kayak. For some reason it always makes me think of Cain and the old horror anthology comics, House of Mystery. Sometimes I like this one more than Fright Night. It all depends on my mood. 11. Halloween Girl - by Blue Ash. 12. Halloween - By John McClutcheon 13. Halloween - by J. P. Ashkar. This one is relatively new. He's a lesser known Internet artist but he made a cute music video for this song that went viral last Halloween.
Bonus: Anything can Happen on Halloween - Sung by Tim Curry for the 1986 film The Worst Witch. Disclaimer: I actually love many Halloween songs and listen to them all year long so this list may not be my favorites next week or even tomorrow. I didn't even put my favorite werewolf songs on the list.

"Against the hair of your professions": Fictional librarians and hair buns [Part 2]
Continued from part 2
Top row, from left to right: Violet Stanhope in Archie's Weird Mysteries, Miss Dickens in Carl Squared, Sara in Too Loud, Sarah in Too Loud, and Mrs. Shusher in The Replacements. Bottom row, from left to right, Marion the librarian in Hanny Manny, Millie in Madagascar: A Little Wild, unnamed librarian in Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, unnamed librarian in Martin Mystery, unnamed librarian in Martin Mystery, and unnamed librarian in Uncle Grandpa.
The stern librarian with hair tied tightly behind their head, peering at patrons from behind their glasses, still remains a go-to-stereotype for too many, even perpetrated by journalists who should know better. Some even try and make it sexy, serious, while others highlight other hairstyles or fashions instead. [5] The shushing librarian remains, despite the fact it doesn't reflect reality, with uptight librarians fading from existence except in pop culture, where they remain a negative stereotype. They appear as early as a 1921 silent film, with hair buns becoming an "occupational indicator" of librarians over time, even as there is no single image of a librarian. [6] Instead, actual librarians are different, and have varying styles. Jennifer Snoek-Brown, who runs Reel Librarians, has recognized this with posts about librarian style, like a librarian-themed clothing collection she posted about in May 2022.
Originally posted on Pop Culture Library Review on March 21, 2023.
Of course, there are actual librarians out there, like the elderly White woman with grey hair in a bun shown at the beginning of Ghostbusters, and others who embody the stereotype or wear librarian costumes for Halloween. However, there are just as many who run afoul of that stereotype, either by not shushing any patrons. The stereotype itself has its roots in gender with the profession dominated by White woman, although it is not accurate in the slightest. [7] There is supposed "greying" of the profession which only reinforces the images of frumpy stereotypical librarians, an image with unknown origins. The latter image is something which has become a signifier of the profession, for better or worse, despite efforts to counter it. The fight to counter such images continues, with some showing they are more than a librarian, like those who also bellydance, and others who thrive on change and want to dispel of the bun entirely. [8]
There are various librarians in Western animations who don't wear hair buns. Apart from Amity, who I mentioned earlier, there's Violet Stanhope in an episode of Archie's Weird Mysteries ("The Haunting of Riverdale"), Miss Dickens in Carl Squared episode ("Carl's Techno-Jinx"), Sara and Sarah in Too Loud, Mrs. Shusher in The Replacements episode ("Quiet Riot"), Millie in Madagascar: A Little Wild episode ("Melman at the Movies"), and Marion the Librarian in Hanny Manny. There are additional unnamed librarians in Martin Mystery, Kick Buttowski: Suburban Daredevil, Uncle Grandpa, Phineas and Ferb, and Amphibia, none of whom wear hair buns either.
But there is something more to the bun hairstyle. In some ways, it can be practical, despite being a stereotype for librarians, and is claimed to add "glam" or "chic" to any outfit, with no "right or wrong way to wear a bun" as one site declared. This can also be pushed away by people of color who want to move away from being called a "bun lady". At the same time, apart from the types of buns, some of which are said to show that a person is "sophisticated."
Ancient Chinese, Koreans, Polynesians, and Greeks, often women, all wore hair buns. The hair style was popular in Korea and Japan among men, for one reason or another. It became popular beginning in the 1800s, as styles from ancient Greeks and Romans entering into high society, and again in the 1870s, during the Victorian period. [9] (note in part 3)

The Big Picture: 2024's Bollywood Latest Collection Report Card
Hey movie buffs! Buckle up for the most exciting deep dive into what's making waves (and money!) in Indian cinema this year. The bollywood latest collection figures are breaking records left and right, and we're here to spill all the tea! From cop dramas to ghostly adventures, 2024 is turning out to be a blockbuster year that's got everyone talking.
Singham's Roaring Return
Let's kick things off with the biggest cop universe expansion yet! The Hindi movie box office collection for Singham Again has sent shockwaves through the industry, amassing a spectacular ₹192.5 crore in just its opening week. Ajay Devgn's iconic character is back with more swag, bigger action, and those signature sunglasses flips that we can't get enough of! The bollywood latest collection reports suggest it's racing towards the ₹200 crore club faster than you can say "Aata Majhi Satakli!"
But what's making this cop drama such a massive hit? Well, imagine Rohit Shetty taking everything you loved about the previous films and cranking it up to eleven! The hindi movie box office collection proves that audiences can't resist the perfect blend of high-octane action, emotional drama, and those flying cars we've come to expect (and love!).
Double Trouble in Horror Town
Speaking of breaking records, the bollywood latest collection numbers for our favorite horror-comedies are giving accountants sleepless nights (pun intended!). Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Stree 2 have both hit the jackpot with approximately ₹210 crore each! Who knew ghosts could be such good business?
The hindi movie box office collection for these spooktacular entertainers shows that the horror-comedy genre has found its sweet spot. Kartik Aaryan's Rooh Baba in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 continues to charm audiences with his ghostbusting antics, while Stree 2 proves that social commentary mixed with scares is still a winning formula. The bollywood latest collection success of both films hints at a bright (or should we say dark?) future for this genre. Let’s wait and watch how far Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 goes as it’s still in the cinemas.
Future Perfect: Kalki 2898 AD Takes Flight
Hold onto your seats because the bollywood latest collection figures for this sci-fi epic will blow your mind. Kalki 2898 AD has transcended expectations with an astronomical collection between ₹1,100-1,200 crore! This perfect blend of mythology and futuristic elements has created box office history, proving that Indian cinema can dream big and deliver bigger.
The hindi movie box office collection for Kalki 2898 AD isn't just impressive - it's revolutionary! With stunning visuals, a star-studded cast including the legendary Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas, and a story that bridges ancient wisdom with future technology, this film has set a new benchmark for Indian cinema.
Comedy Ka Twist!
Let's talk about Bad Newz - the surprise package of 2024! While its bollywood latest collection of ₹60 crore might seem modest compared to our other blockbusters, this quirky comedy has found its audience through word-of-mouth publicity. The hindi movie box office collection proves that sometimes, content is king, and audiences appreciate fresh storytelling.
The film's unique premise about pregnancy confusion has struck a chord with viewers, showing that the bollywood latest collection isn't always about massive budgets and explosions. Sometimes, all you need is a good story well told.
Breaking Down the Numbers
Let's get analytical about these bollywood latest collection figures:
Box Office Giants in 2024:
Kalki 2898 AD: ₹1,100+ crore (Setting new records!)
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3: ₹210 crore (Horror-comedy magic!)
Stree 2: ₹210 crore (Matching its spooky competitor!)
Singham Again: ₹192.5 crore (Still climbing!)
Bad Newz: ₹60 crore (Steady success!)
The hindi movie box office collection trends reveal some interesting patterns. Big-budget spectacles are still crowd-pullers, but genre films with strong content are equally capable of striking gold. These numbers suggest that audiences are more discerning than ever, rewarding both scale and substance.
Final Thoughts
As we wrap up this bollywood latest collection roundup, one thing's for sure - 2024 is proving to be a landmark year for Indian cinema. Whether you're a fan of high-octane action, spine-chilling horror, mind-bending sci-fi, or heartwarming comedy, there's something for everyone, and the box office numbers prove it!
From small-town horror stories to futuristic epics, viewers are embracing diversity in content like never before. The hindi movie box office collection trends suggest that we're entering a golden age of Indian cinema where there's room for every kind of story.
So, which of these blockbusters have you watched? Are you Team Singham or Team Rooh Baba? Or are you still processing the mind-bending visuals of Kalki 2898 AD?

How to Rate Films (my opinion).
10 of 10 - It's a masterpiece, where everything is perfect. Example: The Shawshank Redemption, The Godfather. 9 of 10 - It's a very good film, which is almost perfect, but has a few problems with the acting or script. Examples: Schindler's List, Forrest Gump, Pulp Fiction, Alien. 8 of 10 - A good film that often has an interesting script, but can have problems with the acting, effects or have questionable moments in the script. Example: The Dark Knight, Scarface, Jurassic Park, Joker. 7 of 10 - This film still looks good, but the script can have stupid moments, the acting almost believable and it has not bad effects. Examples: Poltergeist (1982), Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves, Transformers, Independence Day. 6 of 10 - An average film, with good ideas and acting but a lack of budget. Or film can have a good budget, but the script and acting are kind of weird or not good. Example: Napoleon (2023), Van Helsing (2004), Alien Resurrection, Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, Suicide Squad (2016). 5 of 10 - A film with a cliche script, which is not bad and not good. It's just boring. The acting of a main characters can be OK, but others have problems. This film often has weird effects. Example: Twilight (2008), Scooby-Doo (2002), Scary Movie 2, Green Lantern (2011), Jupiter Ascending, Ghostbusters (2016). 4 of 10 - An average film with a bad scenario or stupid acting. Here you can also see the weird work of a cameraman and a costume supervisor. It can still be watchable or even fun (so bad that it's good). Example: Street Fighter (1994), Jason X, Siberia (2018). 3 of 10 - A film with a bad script and bad acting. Cameraman and costume supervisor are also blind or something. This film is not fun at all. Example: The Crow: Wicked Prayer, Jack Frost 2: Revenge of the Mutant Killer Snowman. 2 of 10 - Everything is bad. Film by people who do not have an idea how to make a movies, but somehow get a budget for their films. Example: Nemesis 5: The New Model, Rise of the Black Bat. 1 of 10 - This is not even a film. This is pure torture with a 5 kg potato budget. To be honest, this type of film just doesn't exist, or maybe someone has it in a private collection.
