If I see one more complaint about sci-fi using sci-fi allegories for real world situations i’m gonna lose it. If you want to see the actual real world situation reflected you want drama. Sci-fi is about exploring feelings, issues and answers through a fantastical lens. If you do not want it through a fantastical lens that’s fine, go watch a drama, that is literally what they’re there for.

i had a convo w a guy once who kept insisting that the clone wars undid the tragedy of the clones (specifically the chips) and it would be more tragic to have the clones just not be humanized and not be given a voice and be made a living mass of unthinking, order-following human beings. and at the time i was like ????? but now im even more like ????? because that just doesn't make any sense

No. Shut up. Helluva Boss is a great show BECAUSE it is irreverent and immature and has dirty jokes and tons of sexual overtones and also has great writing, multi-dimensional characters and beautiful production quality.

If you don‘t like the sex jokes, either don‘t watch the show, or keep your mouth shut bc this show is for people who do enjoy the dark comedy, the dirty humor and the unashamed depiction of sexuality.

If you can’t watch a show with unapologetically dark and queer humor without being a baby about it, go watch any other hyperviolent adult cartoon… It‘s not like you don‘t have options

(mgv) good morning. picture this: house's leg acting up while wilson is over so wilson offers to massage it for him. house gripes for a second, jokes about them not beating the homosexuality allegations, but relents. and while wilson is working out the knots, the relief is so palatable that house lets out the purrs he's been keeping a tight hold on ever since the spasm started. they're good ones, too, the tone and breathing just right to let you know he feels good. at that point house has relaxed back into the couch with his eyes closed so he doesn't see how wilson visibly perks up when he hears it. mr needs to be needed, bitching provider, doctor husband -- compounded with his status as an alpha, having proof that he makes house feel better, that he's good at what he's doing, he preens, working the muscles harder with a smile. it's so domestic and soft that wilson starts purring too, his lower and more rumbling compared to house's.

(they don't talk about it once the moment's over. back to the status quo.)

I know ideally you never backslide on progress, but the reality of it is, a lot of us do. I do. And I just try to remind myself it's not all gone to shit, that those years or months or days of progress weren't wasted the minute I fucked up again. I had time to heal and be healthy for a while and that counted for something. It was better than nothing changing at all even for a short time.
