Before I start, Id also like to add that I have a Mars conjunct Venus and moon conjunct Venus synastry aspect with James as well. It's possible that the Mars conjunct Venus and Venus conjunct moon synastry aspects may magnify or influence the dynamics of the 12th house Venus synastry in some ways. I came across some information which suggested that in some cases, the house person may fail to recognize the attraction the Venus person has for them. Personally, I believe there may be some truth to this, but it's important to recognize that everyone experiences this synastry aspect in their own unique way. Initially, I was clueless about his attraction toward me at first, but as time went on, I started to become aware of it. Whether the feelings are mutual or not really hinges on the house person's own emotions. At least that's my perspective on it.

Anyway, It was 4rth of July, and I wanted to look nice, so I put on some makeup. We all hung out in the backyard around the pool.
