if you
if you shipped Silver Wolf and Firefly you could call that GameFly
get it
like the company
just like how GameFly ships games directly to your door
(do they even still do that)

I’m currently annoyed on how with both DPPt and PMD Explorers, I have a version of the game (I actually got two versions with Explorers because I didn’t realize they were basically the same game), but I am constantly made aware that there is a superior version of those games (Platinum and Sky respectively), and for both I’m pretty sure it’s considered the one you should just objectively play
But at the same time, because those games are so beloved and I didn’t know these facts at the time DS games were still being regularly sold, they’re either ungodly expensive and/or I just have a hard time finding them
Like I’m sorry I wasn’t aware at 8 or 9 years old that these games were the better ones and that I have the versions that are apparently considered crappy, at least by comparison
Thank god Heart Gold and Soul Silver didn’t get a Crystal remake too or I’d be 3 for 3 on these Gen 4 games
…Okay I’m probably getting a bit too heated up. This isn’t targeted at anyone, or to shame people who play those games, it’s just a personal thing that gets me, and always has with Sky in particular
#sorry it’s just a personal thing#whenever people talk about the Explorers games it’s ALWAYS Sky#which is the only one I don’t have#and even during the time where DS games were being sold I could almost never find the game#and if I did it would be too expensive for my parents to let me get#I’ve only played it once because I got it on GameFly once#but I had to return it because it was a rental#I was going to go and play Time and then I started thinking about this and I got frustrated again#and then there’s also Platinum#which I always hear is the superior Sinnoh game but it’s always been too expensive#I am not spending $80 on a DS game#or at the very least my parents wouldn’t#sorry I just wanted to rant about this#pokemon#pokemon dppt#pokemon pmd#pmd explorers#random stuff#rant

#i think u could keep it if you truly wanted it but it would be like 10 bucks or something#Also gamefly rip brother you will be dearly missed#i still remember the little white netflix envelopes the dvds came in……#omg and i remember when i first saw netflix on the tv and i was like whaaaaat i thought they just mailed u shit and my parents were like no.#now we have it andi was like wow that’s so cool and then used it to watch family guy on my kindle after my parents went to sleep wheniwas 10

i'm really hoping BO6 turns out to be good bc treyarch got (4) years of development to make it and they always seem to be the team that makes good games, but i don't trust activision, they became way too greedy.
#so i'll just rent it from gamefly and see if i like it#at least if i buy it from them it'll be like $25 😂

Please, remember, that by deleting shows and movies, and edging psychical media out of existence Hollywood and streaming platforms are able to censor the media you have access to. It is not an accident that these things are happening at the same time as book bans are happening -- there is already speculation online about The Hays Code being revitalized.
The Hays Code was a set of rules put in place by the Catholic Church in the 1930s-1960s in order to illegally censor TV and film in the US.
The streaming industry is imploding and that is a good thing not just because of censorship but also because they abuse writers and actors.
At one point HBO/MAX swore that DCU content would be exclusive to their streaming platform. But now MAX is hemorrhaging money and is licensing DCU shows and movies out to other streaming platforms including free ones like Tubi. Thanks, Mindy❣️
Another sign that the industry is imploding is that Disney has released Disney+ exclusives like WandaVision and Loki season one on Bluray, and Netflix recently announced a Blu-ray release of the Wednesday series mere MONTHS after canceling their DVD subscription service.
If you want to support writers and actors, please invest in psychical media. If you are in Australia and want to collect psychical media invest in a region free Blu-ray player, and buy movies from Amazon, eBay, etc.
Remember that psychical media is an investment. If you buy a movie or whatever that you end up hating you can always resell it or donate it somewhere, and by investing in psychical media you are helping to preserve film history. If you're able to pirate, I highly recommend burning your favorite shows and movies onto DVDs for more secure storage.
Do not let small children handle your DVDs/Blurays cause nine times out of ten that is how they end up getting scratched and ruined. If you find fingerprints on a disc you can usually wipe them off with a microfiber cloth and the disc will play fine. You can also buy a disc cleaning machine.
If you cannot afford to buy Blurays/DVDs check out your local library as they often have movies you can rent for FREE. Also check out Gamefly which lets you rent movies on Blu-ray/DVD for like $11.99USD a month. It's basically old school Netflix -- and you can rent videogames from them too.
Most importantly remember--
If you buy more psychical media corporations will create more of it. That is how supply and demand works.
Cancel your streaming subscriptions and invest in psychical media.

Some thoughts and details on my last Gamefly rental, Endless Ocean Luminous.
You are a researcher investigating the Veiled Sea(it seems to give you whatever name you have entered to your Switch). You're joined by a fellow diver named Daniel and an AI named Sera.
As they explore the Veiled Sea, they find the World Coral, which is in danger of dying and causing an extinction-level event. The player and Daniel need to find Light from marine life in the Veiled Sea by scanning them and using it to heal the World Coral.
L to Scan. It can be held down to scan longer, ending after a few seconds, indicated by a circle forming onscreen, and can be canceled with X. New scans will be marked with a ?.
X brings up the Map. Once you've explored 80% of a map, it'll actually be counted as fully explored automatically, and you'll be given a Code to use in multiplayer for that map. Make sure to screenshot it/write it down, as one you start a new Solo Dive, I don't think there's a way to look up old Map Codes.
B to Dolphin Kick, which makes you swim forward faster, even moreso if done in succession.
A to interact with any objects you find while on a Dive.
Early in the story, you'll find the Treasure Board, which has 99 slots to fill out by doing or finding certain things. You'll need to fill it out finish Story Mode. Here is a guide to the Treasure Board requirements(which also has Solo Dive Map Codes to make it easier).
Solo Dive Map Codes are generated after a map is finished to 80%, which will automatically jump to 100%, and you save and quit the Dive. Make sure to screenshot them/write them down, since I don't think there's a way to see the ones you've generated once you start a new Solo Dive. These codes can be used for multiplayer mode, as well.
Solo Dives are where you'll be playing the most. I'm not sure what determines the layout of each map, but it'll be different each time. This of course means some won't have certain marine life(ie, if there's no deep water sections, nothing from there can be found). There are a total of 578 creatures to seek out and scan, which can be looked at in the Log on the Main Menu.
I'm not sure how each Solo Dive Map is generated, but it can have some interesting layouts from the ones I've gone through. Deep sea caves and tunnels were the most interesting to me. Some even go down far enough to see lava(I think?).
Around the map in Solo Dives, you'll find parts where the Switch will start vibrating, getting stronger near certain sea life, and a small red dot will appear onscreen. If they're scanned, you'll get a heads up about weird biorhythmic activity, and a counter will pop up, as well as several red circled areas around the map. In these areas, more of these specific sea life can be found and scanned. Once all of them are, an Unidentified Marine Life(UML) will appear for a while and can be scanned. Doing so causes a lot of Light to spawn. The UML will eventually disappear, but the process can be repeated.
You don't have to worry about oxygen or getting attacked during your exploration, so it's all pretty chill.
You can customize your character's dive suit with points gained from Salvaging. There's a lot of colors, some coming in a full set or you can mix and match each part. More will be unlocked as your Rank goes up.
As you do more in Solo Dives, your Rank level will go up. The higher your rank, the higher your Dive Capacity will be, and more customization options you can buy.
Dive Capacity measures if you can press Start after finishing scanning something and have it follow you or not.
There are certain large platforms that can appear in the maps that, when examined, will cryptically tell you to bring something specific with you. These are part of the 99 Treasure Board requirements.
I was getting kind of burnt out and had other stuff going on, so I unfortunately didn't fully finish the game. While I can't personally compare it to the previous two games(which I hope get a rerelease at some point), I think it's probably worth playing if you liked them and/or it's type of gameplay. It can be a timesink to finish, though.
I'm not normally scared of deep water in games, though the way it's shown in this game seems pretty true to life, so I got a little intimidated at first. Plus sometimes I heard whale song, and in some cases an extinct creature, and jumped a bit at first since I wasn't expecting it. Seeing deep sea creatures is still really cool, though.
Next game being sent is: Dissidia Final Fantasy NT.

I’ve always assumed that “unlimited bacon but no games, or games, unlimited games, but no games” was like a gamefly type situation. You have unlimited games but you do not own them and have to return them so really you have no games.
