Jenny Nicholson has valid thoughts about the Galactic Star Cruiser.

That little shuttle (box-truck) between Black Spire & the Cruiser isn't enough to handle continuous traffic for a regular hotel, although it might work for a [very expensive] dinner theater type experience. Which would be an absurd waste of 100 fully themed hotel rooms.

The cowardly way out is for Disney to mothball the whole thing; pretend it never happened. Like they did with Discovery Island. Or turn it into office space, as Nicholson suggests. Leave it as a problem for future Disney management to deal with.

People are all asking “Why did the galactic star cruiser fail, too expensive right?” Yes in part but also because what is the cruiser? Where in Star Wars does it appear? Is it full of the classic characters? No. It is Star Wars esq, not anything from the movies, just kinda looks like it could be. Give us Star Wars, we didn’t ask for Batuu, we asked for Tatooine. Give us a hotel where each wing is themed to different Planets. Want a swim? Go to the Naboo wing, there is a spa and a Padme meet and greet. Night time dinning? Go to Coresant and watch the fireworks. Kids bored? Send them to Endor, there an massive play area in the trees. Give us Star Wars! Stop giving us what we didn’t ask for.
