Sentinel Prime with Gabriel's iconic moments ✨️

I'm surprised nobody has talked about the similarities to Gabriel from Good Omens. Their smugness, angel motifs, head of their worlds, and both played by Jon Hamm!

The second that I discovered that Jon Hamm was Sentinel, I IMMEDIATEDLY went to Gabriel. dasfjadiooj

I’m not sure if this is already known. I know the Good Omens Tumblr has been in shambles due to Neil Gaiman’s allegation.

Here’s my headcanon:

What if Gabriel went to Aziraphale because he knew he’d understand his situation and not for protection.

Sure, he knew there was a fair chance that he would never turn him into heaven. But what if it wasn’t just for that.

I think it’s well-known in the fandom that Gabriel and Beelzebub are a mirror of Aziraphale and Crowley if they had communicated better.

Gabriel directly had worked against heaven just as Aziraphale, and with a demon the help of no less. Beelzebub worked against Hell with an angel, just like Crowley. During their meetings, they finally understood why Aziraphale and Crowley often sought out for each other’s company.

I think that’s why Gabriel went to Aziraphale. He was the only other angel that understood him and what he had at stake if he was found out.

Things the GO fandom as a whole have just accepted as canon

Crowley's favorite word is "ngk-"

They kissed in 1941. That's why the vibe was so awkward during the Holy Water scene in 1967.

The fire extinguishers in s2 are all from Crowley because of the bookshop fire in s1

Aziraphale is a huge flirt. Crowley gets flustered easily.

They adopted Jimbriel and Muriel

Crowley steals all the genders but Aziraphale is content with the lack of them

Crowley would go to bars and rant to Hozier, not knowing it was him, then hear his songs on the radio and break down because the lyrics understanded him.

He was also besties with Freddie Mercury

GOOD OMENS SPOILERS.

So I've been thinking a lot about Muriel. About how they're sweet and naive and sort of dumb, and they're a 37th class angel.

In fact, Muriel’s level of naivety is nearly the same as Jim-level naivety/dumbness. And Jim was supposed to be a 38th class angel, after being demoted from Supreme Archangel and having his memories removed.

And when this was revealed Muriel says 'I didn't know there was a class below me', what if Muriel is just a demoted angel? What if Heaven just keeps demoting any angel who goes against God’s (the Metatron’s) Plan and making a new, lower class for them? Instead of making them fall, they just keep taking memories and demoting angels so that there wont be a perceived ‘institutional problem’. Which there isn’t. Right?

My Gabriel hot take is that the reason he’s Like That in season one is because God designed him to be someone who is really passionate about, like, operating charcoal grills and experimenting with microbrewing, and he’s not getting appropriate enrichment in Heaven, which is leading to behavioral issues.

My ideal season 3 Gabriel plotline would be that he has chilled out into a friendly, weirdly well-adjusted guy whose deepest desire is to host barbecues. I also think he should have decided, apropos of nothing, that Aziraphale and Crowley are his best friends, with seemingly no understanding that Crowley holds a grudge and would immolate him at the first opportunity. He calls them frat bro names like “Big Z” and “Crow Man,” and wants to invite them over for board game and charcuterie nights and Beelzebub has to be like “babe they absolutely do NOT want to come over for board game and charcuterie nights.”
